another thing i love about laios:

HE IS GENUINELY A REALLY GOOD LEADER!!

despite struggling with the finer points of socializing, he has all the qualities necessary to be a good leader.

(i refer to the manga a lot in this post as someone who's read most of the manga at this point, but i avoided any specific spoilers)

He cares about all his teammates' well-being

He is extremely level-headed in a crisis

He is excellent at strategizing (within his areas of expertise; in the manga someone eventually points out he's pretty much useless at fighting other humans, lol)

If a plan fails, he is immediately thinking up a fallback plan - he doesn't give up

He is acutely aware of his teammates' strength and weaknesses, and accurately assigns them tasks suited to them in times of need.

He is perhaps not innately a 'leader-type'; he's fine deferring to the rest of the party most of the time, even when he doesn't understand why. (Just going along with the blindfold in the sauna for example, lol.) He was ready to head back into the dungeon by himself before Chilchuck and Marcille volunteered to come along. He doesn't think of himself as particularly smart or special. And when the party meets others (such as the old gnome couple) they don't tend to assume Laios is the leader.

But he has an unwavering vision (during the story it's rescuing Falin), and, you see it again and again: when they enter difficult combat, or any time things fall apart and everyone is panicking, Laios steps up and takes charge. His calmness helps everyone else calm down, and they generally follow his lead. They intuitively look to him in a crisis, to the point they're shocked the few times he doesn't have any ideas.

It kind of ties into another thought I have; he is repeatedly seen as "having no interest in other people" by other characters, but this isn't really true! He struggles to understand people and he is aware that they struggle to understand him. This leads to him mostly focusing on the things he IS good at understanding, such as monsters. But he genuinely makes a big effort to understand the people he cares about. In the manga, there are times you see him think deeply about his friends' struggles and motivations. For much of the early arcs, he understands Chilchuck better than Marcille or Senshi do. He and Marcille don't get each other that well at the start of the story, but by the end they have a very strong reciprocal friendship.

I could go on about it honestly but this post is already very long. Tl;dr laios one of the characters of all time to me and i think people should appreciate his leadership skills more!!

I love actor AUs and this post on twitter gives me so many thoughts like:

-How Lucifer pobably likes to do origami paper foldings and would post his lil creations to his social media accounts even during work

-how Al doesn't have social media and yet still one that has the most fans and said fans kept pestering him to make at LEAST a twitter acc

-fans only gets crumbs of this man's exsistence through other actor's pics and selvies and even then I think that would be almost rarely and aren't usually in the full picture/his face always blurs by motion or other things

-Luci doing livestreams more than meet-events that Involves too many people, don't get him wrong, he loves his fans (sane ones) but he just.. aren't much of a people person at most and rather interact through media

-Vox, Val, and Vel are always somehow together in every movie they're in that fans started to Call them "the Vees" and people actually like these trio

- the Vees always most likely taken villain/antagonist roles in every movie that they're the most iconic

-Adam doesn't actually know how to play guitar but he "thought it'd be sick" to learn (he didn't)

-Vox and Al *used* to be friends (they go all back since highschool) but something happened that made them broke up and rival eachother (like girls that still holding grudges)

-Charlie's father in every movies are ALWAYS Luci cause they're actually related and iconic

-Vaggie takes self defense classes since she was a kid and was always in the same schedule as Lute

-chaggie open relationship HIYAAA

-angel was discovered through his onlyfans acc and his first job as an actor was doing in the HH show (and he nails it!)

-Husk and Niffty was dragged randomly by Al (one unwilling and one willing) when the crew said they needed more actors for main roles. Al promised Husk copious amount of alcohol

-Niffty doesn't even need to act, she's just like that

-Husk looks at his script Exactly like the character he plays as. Like an old man.

-Luci is the oldest among every casts but he's still fit!

Captain John Price

It's hell waiting to see if you're still alive. Pacing the halls, unable to think straight and far too aggressive with anyone that even asks if he's doing alright. Price doesn't handle your life being on the line very well.

He's been waiting for correspondence from you. Hours feel like weeks. You're supposed to come back to him. He hasn't bothered to change out of his gear, not when he's posted by the door hoping you'll walk through it.

When you do? He feels the world roll from his shoulders. He holds you tight. He's not emotional in the sense of crying, I don't think any of them really would, but he does that thing where he like, chastises you for taking so long to get back to him.

He checks you over, quickly, just to make sure you don't have any life threatening wounds. You're okay, rough, but generally okay. He can't let you go, won't let you go.

Kyle "Gaz" Garrick

A bit more neurotic when making sure you're alright. He almost gets lost in his head when waiting for you with bated breath. The moment things start to go wrong for you, he wants to figure out plans to help and get you out. Kyle isn't so clouded by his emotions that his judgment goes to hell but he's not the best at decision making either.

Price will tell him to sit down, might argue with him just a bit, but overall, Kyle listens to Price. Price knows you'll handle yourself, and even though the situation it awful, you'll be just fine. You're slippery and intelligent. And they're working on helping you.

Kyle, naturally, is the first to actually find you in the heat of it all. Slides up beside you, thankful he's at your side while the two of you are pinned for a moment or so and all he can think of is protecting you. You look a little worse for wear, but he knows it's nothing too bad physically.

You'll both make it. Eventually, after managing a tricky escape, he holds you. He's much more affectionate and spends more than enough time saying how much he loves you but it's for good reason. He can't bear the thought of actually losing you.

Johnny "Soap" MacTavish

Instantly wants to come get you. Hearing you've been captured makes him lose most of his rational thought. He has to be held back from just storming in. And it's not that Johnny is a bad strategist, he just really can't stand the thought of something bad happening to you when he could have been doing something rather than sitting around!

He eventually reels himself in and gets the others to come up with a plan, still working quicker than what's considered sane after getting confirmation you're 'okay.'

Coming to get you makes him feel everything all at once. He's focused on being disciplined and deadly accurate. He won't play around with your life.

Seeing you is the biggest relief. He holds you so tight, squeezes you and doesn't let you go. He's so sweet in making sure you're alright without smothering you in the same way others might.

Simon "Ghost" Riley

Quite clinical! He tends to care so deeply about other people it hurts. Doesn't know when to reel in his own empathy despite hiding it so well. You hold his entire heart, and if anything happens to you, it'll break. To protect himself, but more importantly you, he needs to keep you safe.

He's got plans about everything brewing in his head. I think Ghost likes to think of every possible route in case things go wrong, and unfortunately that means he was also expecting something like this. He's on it, everyone else is on it.

You're... he's afraid you won't make it through the night once he finally gets you in his arms. He sees the loss of his loved ones flash in his eyes as he holds you when you make it out of surgery to recover. Squeezes your hand, rests near you and gives you space while also clinging so tightly to you. He knows he won't and can't live without you.

You eventually fall deeper into sleep. He watches. His eyes are stuck on you, can't look anywhere else. Won't look anywhere else. There's still a chance you won't make it. He hates that his nightmare might finally become true.

In part 1, i loved how you do the scene of : mc noticing chrollo's overall apathy when he saw someone spilled coffee (i feel like chrollo...is the kind of person who doesn't rly show his emotion unless he can gain something from it, like when he "helps" neon) until it sinks in his mind that mc is his soulmate that he's quick to move + when he's wayyyy too interested in the mc's reactions when he drugged her

also, you make use of chrollo's charm point and that's what make me go feral like AGHDSFHDFSHD, that man (canonically) knows he's attractive to some degree (not just for his looks) and he used it to his advantage, of course even if it can be considered as "against" his soulmate

and this line...LORD - “Now that I’ve found you, I don’t plan on losing you any time soon? (...)” i feel like it's not that he "found her" in a genuine sense of the word like yk a niche cliche serendipitous meeting in a cafe and all that jazz. the way he phrased this plus the "coincidence" of mc finding his contact in the pocket of his coat make it sound more of, that, maybe he's been watching her for a while and on the day he's maybe on a lil break of his stalkerish schedule, that's when he officially meets the mc

“She knows how this will end. Best to let her get it out of her system before we get to that point.” GAHHHH THIS IS REALLY THE TURNING POINT FOR ME

Following to part 2, he purposely give mc a slight reprieve from the whole situation by running away + making that as a "lesson" and then gaslit the mc because, really after all he's done for her, taking care of her whether it's financially, emotionally or even physically, this is the way to pay him back? He spins the narrative onto the mc into some kind of "the crazy runaway wife even though she had the best partner someone could ever ask for, not to mention that they're soulmates- that's really a no brainer move on her part, don't you think so?" not to mention the power dynamics

And if chrollo's love has not been genuine at all, a passerby who heard the twisted narrative might sympathize with mc but the love is genuine, just twisted but yk...it's because they're soulmates that the pair should know better of the ahem "shortcomings" of one another because they were bound together in this life...or maybe even the next

He knows, Mc knows, and the troupe understand too that at this point mc is not just a butterfly unaware of the danger when it unintentionally flies towards a spider-web, but more so that the web is built around the mc instead, there has never been a way to escape it. Most, if not all the parts where chrollo has been seen as loving is genuine but at the same time, rather calculated just to ensnare the butterfly. Except the butterfly will not be eaten, not quite so at least, but it will be always under the stare of the spider even if it still struggles to escape

Jimin has been having a crush on his flatmate’s (Hobi) classmate (Jungkook) from street dance course ever since the beginning of university year. After months of torment, he confided in Hobi who confidently urged him to confess. Though nervous, Jimin walked up to Jungkook soon after.

“I have something to tell you. Um…it might sound strange. The truth is I…ah, how to say this…uh…” he kept babbling, distracted by Jungkook’s confused face and his own heart beating rapidly against his ribs. “I…I have something to confess…and that is–I LIKE HOBI-HYUNG!”

Jimin held his breath for a second, eyes opening wide as he wondered if he’d heard right. Jungkook seemed equally surprised.

“I just…I was wondering if…you could help me out…telling him,” he continued mechanically, a part of him dissociating and wondering what the heck was happening.

“Um…sure,” Jungkook mumbled, “but why not tell him just like that? You’re flatmates, right? There’s gotta be tons of occasions to do it.”

“That…uh…it’s hard for me to say it…so directly. And I don’t know…how he feels about me…”

“Ah, I get it. Sure, I’ll help with whatever you need.”

“T-hank you… Ah, I need to go now… Thanks for listening to this.”

“No problem.”

Jungkook watched Jimin head further and further away with a rather wobbled walk. A deep sigh escaped his lips as his heart contracted painfully in his chest. The truth was Jungkook has been interested in Jimin ever since Hobi introduced them and when he called him over he’d hoped Jimin was going to confess having feelings for him. What to do now? He was no match for Hobi. He dragged his feet to the bus station, crying bitterly on the inside.

When Hobi returned from classes that night he asked how the confession went. By the time Jimin finished the unfortunate tale, Hobi was crouched on the sofa, a loud laugh bouncing around the walls.

“This is so funny, oh my Goddd!!!” he barely squeaked a sentence.

“Please stop,” Jimin asked flatly, covering his flustered face with both hands and slowly shaking his head disapprovingly. “I can’t face him anymore.”

“I can’t believe you said thattt!!!! AHAHAHAHA THIS IS HILARIOUS I CAN’T BREATHE!!!!”

“Hyung, this is serious what do I do now??”

“Just go back and tell him the truth!” Hobi invited him after calming down, pointing at the front door.

“Tell him what?! ‘Oh haha sorry about that I meant you’??”

“Exactly,” his flatmate nodded nonchalantly. “People make mistakes when they’re nervous, it’s normal.”

“Do you think he’ll believe me?? He’ll just think I’m messing with him!”

“So you wanna leave things like this?”

Jimin went to bed that night with a heavy heart, full of young love concerns that torment all young lovers. The next day Hobi went to his street dance course like usual. After it ended and everyone had left, Jungkook suddenly asked him if he liked Jimin and he remembered what happened the other day, which in turn triggered his giggles.

“Why would you think that?” he asked Jungkook in return, barely containing his laughter.

“Dunno,” Jungkook shrugged with a pouty face, “you two seem really close. I was just wondering.”

“Jimin talked to you yesterday?” Hobi continued on an assuming tone, staring him down.

Jungkook’s eyes rose to look at him, big and surprised.

“Yeah.”

“It’s not me,” he decided to clarify with a witty smile.

“…What do you mean?” Jungkook’s eyes now seemed to want to pop out of his eye sockets.

“He got nervous and just said that randomly. He actually likes you. That’s what he wanted to say.”

Jungkook stared blankly for several moments, trying to process this information.

“Hyung, are you making fun of me?”

“Noo!” Hobi laughed, surprised by his unconvinced yet hopeful expression. “I’m serious, really, he was all worried last night, saying he can’t take it back anymore ‘cause you won’t believe him. You should go talk to him, I don’t know if he’ll gather the courage to bring this up again.”

“W-What am I supposed to say??”

Wow, they were so much alike he was starting to feel like he’s having déjà vus.

“Just go tell him you know the truth.”

“Hyung, don’t play with me like this… Are you serious?!”

“Yes, I’m serious!! Aaahh, you two are so annoying! Go talk to him, already! Go-go!”

And without further ado he grabbed his towel from the backpack and went to do his stretching exercises, tilting his head to the side in a frustrated gesture. As he was relaxing his leg muscles, the sound of rushed footsteps echoed through the empty practice room. His eyes rose just in time to see Jungkook sprint out through the door, letting it fling dramatically before closing. Hobi shook his head again, only one word coming to mind:

Summary: Ned's Birthday is coming up you're having a hard time to figure out what he'd like for a present

You and MJ were hanging out in your room, scrolling through Pinterest for the past hour. Ned's birthday was less than a month and you were trying to plan a surprise for him.

Ned and you were dating for a year now.

You were apart of student council at school and would host many events for the school, and Ned would always support you or help set up.

You wanted to take this opportunity to show how special he is to you, especially since it's his first birthday you'll be spending together.

"Oh! What about this comic? I know Ned has been wanting this for a while." You show MJ on your phone.

"Peter pre-ordered it two nights ago, sorry" MJ said.

You huff, knowing your boyfriend's best friend would get him the perfect gift.

"I didn't realize how hard birthday shopping can be." You said in annoyance as you throw yourself back in your bed.

Michelle looks down to see Peter shoot her a text.

"Pete's swinging by in a few, he's asking if we wanted anything."

"I'm fine, I'm not particularly hungry." You grumbled, plopping yourself back on your mattress.

Michelle replied back to Peter.

"He said he's stopping by to get a box of pizza for himself. I don't know if it's because of his powers or if he's a teenage boy, but the guy is hungry all the time. You have to make a whole feast in order for him to be full." Michelle chuckled.

Your eyes widen after her statement.

"What did you say?" You ask, sitting up.

"That Peter inhales pizza like there's no tomorrow?" She says.

"No, the last one." You said.

"Oh, uh, making a feast?" she says casually.

You got up on your feet and hug MJ, squealing.

"Gahhhh I know what to do now!" You excitedly yelled before dialing something on your phone.

You wait for it to ring until you heard the person you wanted answer.

"Hi, Lola? I was wondering if you could teach me something."

"Dude, I don't understand why you have to put this blindfold on me." Ned said to Peter as he was guiding him to the back of your house.

"Your girlfriend didn't want you to see the surprise. Although, we should have covered your nose too." Peter joked.

"My nose?" Ned asks.

Suddenly, the two were at a halt. Peter takes away the blindfold and Ned can finally see.

You and MJ were standing in front of a table, and he blushes when you were smiling nervously.

"Hope you like your surprise, birthday boy." You said before you stepped away for Ned to see.

He didn't understand until he saw what was on the table:

all the Filipino food he loved since he was a kid.

Ned could see the ube pandesal, fried lumpia, and the steaming adobo all ready to eat. He saw tons more that covered the table, leading to the end where he saw halo halo.

"You made all of this?" he asks, turning to you.

You nod your head proudly.

"I called your Lola to teach me your family's recipes when you weren't at home. She even taught me Tagalog when I was cooking with her in the kitchen."

Ned's smile grew wider by the second.

"This is the most caring thing anyone has done for me." Ned sniffled, going up to you and hugging you tightly.

You were a bit teary-eyed for a bit, and you pull away to dry each other's tears.

"C'mon, lover boy. Let's eat your food before it gets cold."

Soon, the four of you started to eat. Peter, unsurprisingly, loved Filipino food. Since he was always with Ned, he was fed by Lola herself, and made him food (even when he tried telling her that five plates of pancit were enough for him).

Later on, all of you watched Star Wars Films while eating a star wars cake that MJ ordered. Peter and she were cuddling in one lawn chair as you and Ned were doing the same in another.

"Thank you, for tonight. I'm still blown away that you made all that food." Ned said, looking down at you as you were in his arms.

"I just wanted to show how much you mean to me." You smiled, looking up at him.

Ned kisses the top of your head and pulls you closer to him.

"You already mean the world to me. You know a way to a man's heart."

"If you say 'through a man's stomach' I swear." You warn him in a none serious tone.

He laughs as well as you, as you guys never took things too seriously.

"What I was going to say was your infectious smile and personality. I'm so happy that I'm with you and I love you"

"I love you too, you're forever stuck with me." You said as you shift closer to him.

"I like the sound of that." He smirks before you guys kissed and cuddled.

Good food and spending time with loved ones?

Nothing could top tonight.

"WHAT?" Ned and Peter screamed sitting up, looking at you with wide eyes.

"Yeah, my aunt was his personal assistant for his last star wars films and he told her if she knew anyone who's a fan to have a digital meet and greet with him." You said.

Ned holds you tight, peppering you with kisses across your face.

"You're the best girlfriend ever." He says before him and Peter jump out of their seats, reading the details for tomorrow.

You and MJ just laugh at them for squealing like a bunch of preteens.
