█🕹️👾🎮Chapter 12: Waiting (Part 2/2)░▒▓█
March 29th, 2036, Saturday, 9:50 a.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We met with the rest of the group again. They all remained on the same bench chatting away like everything was normal, everyone except Jet Greez. Until the group detected us, Airis and I shared the wonderful news that got them exceedingly enraptured like we were celebrating another new fantastic year. Jet Greez, on the other hand, might care less about it so I'm not unforeseen of him. The only time I would actually be astonished is if he cheers for someone whose life has been saved... Or he could be hiding his care.
Soon we began chatting among ourselves, well, more like chatting with Airis, our first human being to interact with. We basically questioned her about Real- er, Earth (is what she wants us to call it rather than the name 'Real Earth'. We weren't sure about that, although we could understand) since this magnificent planet piqued our curiosity, unduly intrigue... of course, again, except for Jet. Although, he didn't join the group nor chat. I never comprehend why he always likes alone time for himself the majority of the time. Regardless, he watched us from a distance from where we were sitting (still at the same silver, shiny, metal table that Airis was sobbing over). It might sound a bit creepy of him, but I assure you, he's not... Let's just say he sees it as 'he's a part of it, just sitting/standing from afar distance'.
It's not like I'm going to force him anyway.
... I must admit, I deeply miss his extrovert side... He hasn't been very open to people since-...
... Since... since...
... I... get why he has become more of an introvert now...
Nothing you should know!
Because Oscar is resting adequately for a couple of hours, we can't have that serious sit-down discussion yet. In the meantime, at some point, we'll have to do something other than lounge around and chat. Not that I have a problem with that. I'm more of an active bot who likes to do activities most of the time or twenty-four-seven which is rare, primarily when it comes to running. I don't sit still willingly for more than three hours. If I have to, I would just let my leg stim.
I still want to learn about Earth, from a human child's knowledge, and so far, the answers were extraordinary indeed. I'll give it two hours of this!
***
Two hours later.
Alright! Two hours are up! This is perfect timing because things were just getting awkward at this point. Luckily, I came up with something to prevent that from happening. I stood up from the bench and suggested to everyone that we should play a game of Hoop Ball. My team extended their enthusiasm upon hearing those two words. Barring Airis, she didn't know what it was so I had to explain to her the game and rules. Then I got off guard when Airis told us that Hoop Ball is exactly a mixture of 'Basketball' and 'Netball', in her Earth understanding. HA, HA! Surely it is laughable! It's not the same as 'Basketball' and 'Netball'! I don't really believe it, and I don't think anyone else does either... Well... things did extensively turn into a mini remote debate, not in an adverse way, of course!
Everyone has different opinions and we should respect them no matter what.
... Excluding the problematic ones.
We all headed to the 'basketball' court (us robots call it the hoop court), located next door to the cafeteria to get ourselves ready.
Since I know Jet is likely to cheat, in some way, when he plays any game, I decided to make him the referee. He might also be likely to call false fouls. Even though I had never seen him as a referee before. For months (or feeling the foreverness of not seeing him face-to-face in general) I have zero ideas of what he's been up to apart from being there for Artron. From memory of the last time I played sports with him. I recall the previous time he actually cheated in Hoop Ball.
And boy, the moment I told him my decision of roles privately. As a result, I didn't think Jet would call it unfair. His response is: 'It's unfair because I was biased towards him just because he (Jet) betrayed us and worked with Artron from time to time.'
Listen. I know he betrayed Artron back, however, just because he did the same to him. That doesn't mean my trust towards him is open. I know Artron would have the same feeling too.
I find his words dull-witted. Again, I am only doing it because I don't trust him to participate in sports. He is capable of cheating at any time, and he will. I managed to convince Jet by pulling out the Qute card. Qute is the only bot who loves to play referee (also, she's quite small and doesn't like sports. Her words, not mine) howbeit she's unavailable, we don't have anyone else to be a referee. I win that unnecessary argument while Jet Greez grouches and agrees to take the role.
Moving forward.
The team were split into two groups: Me and Airis versus Obus and Grezzer.
Mectra and Kitt are cheerleaders for both teams as well as bench players who wait for teammates to switch places with them (Mectra is on my team and Kitt is with Obus and Grezzer). The two sat on the long blue bench, outside the lined court, cheering us on as well as waiting patiently for any switches.
Jet came into the court with the ball after we'd done our mini warm-up. He stood in the middle of the white-ringed line of the massive school court. Meanwhile, I positioned myself near Jet, standing on the opposite side of Grezzer, outside the ringed line. The body-built bot did the same position as I did. Me and Grezzer shared the competitive expression.
Following that, Jet held out the orange ball with black lines up between me and Grezzer. He had his whistle in his mouth... ready to blow it at any given moment... Things were slowly getting intense and overestimated the ambition of winning... and ignoring the certain grouchy bot sending me daggers.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
The whistle was blown, shrilly, at the same time as Jet threw the interesting-looking ball in the air. This caused me and Grezzer to jump with our arms up and stretch as much as we could in the air, at the exact same time.
So who touched the ball first?
I did.
I slam against it, sending the rough orange ball flying past the orange bot's head to head towards Airis. Unfortunately, Obus caught it before she did.
Obus took three steps and passed it to Grezzer, who caught it. I rapidly sprinted, using my speed boost, to catch up to Grezzer and snatch it off him. I then took three big steps, close enough to shoot my goal, the sweet first-round victory in the hoop-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Immediately after my throw, the sound of that high-pitched, irritating whistle paralysed me! My neon blue eyes stare at the ball, it misses the hoop, instead, it bumps into the orange ring. It lands on the clean, reflective court, bouncing away gradually... I am taken by what just happened... Me? Getting whistled? My mind rushes with thoughts of disbelief at how I could get whistled at in a game. I'm sure this was a mistake- Wait a minute!-
Brushing off the bizarre juncture, immediately, my programs got me reminded that I put Jet to be a referee. Turning around casually to see Jet jogging toward me with a sinister cocky smile spread across his face (that I decided to ignore) I frowned with a mix of suspicion behind it.
"In Hoop Ball, you're not supposed to use your special abilities or powers, remember?" He told me, once he reached for me and raised up a yellow card.
...
"Ugh! I completely forgot about that! How could I!?" I facepalm.
I stayed in that position for a couple more seconds due to the presence of embarrassment crawling up my system. This was reasonable to call out. I will admit, I retrospect on him a lot of times... Maybe I have judged him too hastily?
Jet smugly sniggers.
"You explained everything to Airis about this game. How could you forget it? Ha!" I rolled my eyes, giving out a short sigh. "First warning, Captain Bias," he whispered the last word so no one could hear.
He laughed mockingly at me yet I don't care, but what I do care about is that he'll aggravate me for the rest of the five rounds.
I simply walked away from him to run over to Obus with my speed boost deactivated this time. Grezzer has the ball and tosses it towards us. Obus and I jumped up to catch it. How ignorant of me. He caught it and threw it into the hoop at the speed of light.
"Ah-ha! Yes!" In victory, the red bot cheered.
"Team OGT on one point, TAM remains zero," Jet declared.
Mechtra and Kitt cheer wildly in the background, as well as, sharing support to keep trying towards me and Airis. It would be something that Airis needs because I noticed her feeling disappointed in herself.
I, on the other hand, let out a smirk.
My second in command made an excellent shot, as excellent as his combat skills. I admire a few things about his skill. Although, I am 100% confident that me and Airis can beat them. I'm sure of it.
The real game begins~
***
Another two hours later.
"Obus! I'm open! I'm open!" Grezzer cried out, waving his arms around like a baby bird trying to fly.
It was the final round. My team and Obus' team points were tied, we were getting eager to win a tiresome game..! More like the human girl is getting tired rather than the rest of us. Us bots don't get tired like humans, besides some of us run either charging or batteries.
Obus had the ball and threw it towards the strongest bot but I caught it before he did. With a smirk, I hurriedly took three steps and tossed it to Airis, thankfully she was already closer to our goal.
"Catch it, Airis!" I call out to her.
She opened her arms and caught it, then swiftly turned her heel to successfully throw it into the hoop!
Fortissimo, the whistle blew.
WOOOOOOOO!!!
"Game! Team TAM wins!" Proclaim the referee.
"Woohoo!" Me and Airis run towards each other and earn high-five for victory.
Suddenly, my attention was drawn to something off to the side, near the two-way door. I diverted to see what it was and couldn't help but smile the moment I had the full view of it. My robotic blue eyes had spotted something remarkable that Airis will be on the top of the world.
"Hey, Airis," I tapped the pigtail girl's shoulder.
She turned to face me once she finished shaking hands with Grezze and the unsportsmanlike Obus (he accepted the defeat later on).
"What is it?" The girl inquires.
I gestured my head to the side, still grinning (to the point that I might look silly).
"Look over there." She took a quick glimpse and gasped in stupefaction, a great big smile forming on her face.
No- Please allow me to rephrase it. She jumped so high! Over the moon!.. Uh- Okay, now that I'm witnessing this more, maybe she's gotten too happy...
"Oscar!" The brown-haired girl bolted towards Oscar and Qute.
Qute briskly floats out of the way, knowing that Airis might hug her friend to death or knock him down to the floor (if she decided to jump on him for an unbreakable hug). I have never seen anyone with this much exhilaration. Even Oscar could see what was happening, judging by his smile turning a tiny bit crooked.
"A-Airis! Wait! Wait! Wait! WAIT!!!" Too late.
She braces herself for the cuddliest hug around him, very tightly... Hopefully not to death.
"I was so worried about you! I mean, sick to death! I'm so glad you're alive!" Airis looked like she was about to cry out of pure joy, meanwhile, Oscar became a limbed rag doll thanks to Airis' clutches crushing him.
"Miss- you- too- air-!" Oscar chokes his broken words due to oxygen drifting away from him.
"Oh, sorry!" Airis immediately released him and got tense that she hurt him though Oscar reassured her that he was fine, after gasping for air to catch his breath. "How are you feeling?" This time, Airis was much more tranquil and softer towards him.
"All... better..." Huffing, Oscar gave her a meek smile and a thumbs up.
It was a heartwarming sight to see two friends reunited together. Really, it is.
...
... Now it's time.
I became serious in my expression since we were approaching the main situation.
"Now that he's here, it's time to explain what is happening,"
"Children!" I called out to them. They both turned their heads towards me. I gazed at the members, sending them a message through my emotions. They know what that means so they become serious too. I face the children again. "I believe it's time to explain why we're here and what's been occurring around here,"
"Oh right. I nearly forgot about that." Airis says.
I approached the two before the others did.
"Please, follow me," with that, I walked past them to exit out of hoop court, knowing everyone followed my lead.
***
We led the two kids upstairs to the Computer Room.
Opening the blue wooden door, the human children gasped, whoaed, and commented on how cool the room was remodelled. The one comment I don't get is: 'This room looks like a meeting room from Star Wars!'... What's Star Wars?.. Possibly a video game that I wasn't aware of? (We turned the 'I.C.T' into our own style-like home. We'll fix everything once we defeat Artron and the ones that serve him).
I sat down on the desk chair across from where Oscar and Airis are sitting. Obus and Grezzer sit on my right side, Mechtra and Kitt are on my left. Qute just floated near Airis, and Jet Greez leaned on the wall near the door we just entered, arms crossed.
...
...
Silence had its time to shine long enough so I broke the silence. I am captain so I mostly do the talking, and yes, I allow others to speak as long as no one accidentally overlaps each other's talking. Especially when dealing with 'After you,' - 'Oh, no! After you!' type of problem.
I straighten my posture and lay both of my robotic arms on my desk, crossing them for my hands to dangle off the table edge.
"Since Oscar has been recovering for four hours, it is finally time to tell you what's going on,"- I inhale a short breath, steadily- "I believe you two have so many questions that you want answered, yes?"
"Yes," they both unison.
I earn them an earnest nod and continue the conversation.
"Would you rather hear the explanation of how we found out about this sinister plan, and why Artron and his associates want to kidnap you?"- I point to Airis for about a period of three seconds until I place my hand down.- "and then the questions last. Or the other way round?"
"I think hearing the story comes first. Obviously, we need a lot of explanation to understand how the heck you guys got here, or how you exist. Asking questions helps but it would take a lot of time if we didn't hear the explanation first. Particularly since the explanations do answer a considerable number of questions for you. Well, for some of them, I guess" Oscar replied.
"I'm with him," Airis answered after Oscar.
I nodded again and started explaining everything, not leaving a single detail behind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

█🕹️👾🎮Chapter 10: Retrieve The Cure░▒▓█
March 29th, 2036, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Techblast, Grezzer, Obus, Winter and I arrived at the front of the Chemist Ware- I mean 'Health Space' that the bots addressed... You know what? If it is more suitable for them to call things what they call them in their world, such as buildings, items, or animals, or whatever else, then I will respect that. Anyway, the moment I reached the familiar part of Cranbourne, I literally got chills.
Why? I'll tell you.
I'm not used to my town being this quiet during the day times or however late it is at night, and it's so strange to be 'the only humans on earth' sort of situation... Don't think I was oblivious enough to not realise that I don't see anyone in their cars, driving around through busy traffic to get to their locations (or walking, bike riding or other ways to appear normal). Believe me, everyone wakes up in the early morning... What happened to everyone? Why is everything so... empty all of a sudden?
My only theory is that my family has been kidnapped so the bad team is able to use them to pressure me into joining their side. As for everyone else, they were all cast into a very deep sleep, much like Sleeping Beauty... Then again, Oscar's family has been possibly kidnapped too... But... But... UGH! I'm so confused! I know I was told that questions would be answered later but I'm too desperate to know what the HELL is going on!!! On the bright side, at least I'm not the only human/living thing that's asleep or whatever... I don't like all of this. The villains really smouldered me with their actions... I hate being alone! Being alone gives me a great deal of anxiety! I would not know how I would cope!
Tech and Obus were spying through the Chemist- Health Space window around the corner of the red and blue building. The rest of us stood behind them just in case one of the villains spots us instantly. We can't afford to blow our cover.
"They're in there, alright," Obus said quietly, earning a nod from the leader.
Then they turned to face us, clearly up to plotting a strategy.
"What's the plan, Captain?" Grezzer whispered to him.
Do they really need to whisper? Or is it because the villains have sharp hearing?
"We just go in, take down Ugiz-zo and get the necklace," he answered.
"That's it? Can't we just take all of them?" Obus asked as the leader shook his head in annoyance.
"I don't wish to repeat it again, we're not capturing them yet,"
"Ah, right! My apologies-"
"I can't wait to start this action!" I whispered excitedly... For only a few moments... The bots shared the same worried looks as if they didn't want to tell me something but ended up having to.
"Oh, uh, Airis... About that..." Tech knelt at my height.
"Yeah?"
"You see... the only reason why I said yes is because... I hate to see you upset again..."
"... And..?"
"You do realise that you are not going in there to fight?"
"... I won't? Well, it is my choice if I want to or not, but I want to help!"
"I'm sorry, but no can do. You're not skilled enough to defend yourself or fight them. I hate to risk you being kidnapped,"
"But you said I could help!"
"Being on the lookout is something that can be beneficial," he said with a guilty smile, which made me think about it...
Back at the hideout, I could've sworn he had thought of allowing me to fight the bad guys... But then again, I can't assume anyone's thoughts like that. After hearing this, I slightly frowned... although he may be right. I'm not skilled enough to defend myself or fight... I'm weak... At his point, I nodded and sighed.
"I guess you're right... I'll be the lookout..." I gave him a soft 'smile'- I'm just a tad disappointed- while earning a happy one from Tech this time.
"Thank you, I'm glad you understand. You made the right choice,"- He stood up- "We won't be long," with those last words, the three heroes sprang into action while I just slid myself down against the brick wall, feeling more useless than ever.
Groaning, I placed my hands on my face in nuisance.
The next thing I knew, Winter nudged my arm with his head. I released my hand from my face to look down at my fluffy dog... We stared into each other's eyes for a moment...
"At least I'm helping out to save Oscar... No... I'm fucking not. I was only tagged along because Tech doesn't want to see me cry my eyeballs out next to Oscar's lifeless body, that's why!"
CRASH!
Right away, me and Winter peeked around the corner (through the window) to see what was happening.
Of course, the two teams were fighting. Damn, they were causing a hell of a mess! Items destroyed, walls cracked, pieces are torn off- it was like watching the first ever drunk bar fight. I could easily imagine how the poor owner of that place isn't going to be pleased with the mess... Wait- CAMERAS! SHOOT! That's bad! I'll have to tell them about this! When I have the chance, of course. The medicines and some other stuff were on the floor, smashed or not, and most of the aisle shelves were knocked off or broken to shreds. The fight got more intense each time they hit each other because of the element of surprise. There was kicking, punching, pushing, shoving, blasting their lasers at each other and some other weapons they were using-
Grrrrrrrrrr!
"Oh no... No, don't tell me-" My head spun around to the husky, knowing exactly why he was growling so suddenly.
"Winter. No." I whispered (just in case) sternly at him but he was too busy growling at... oh... "Winter! Don't even think about it!" Just as I knew he was about to pounce in there and attack Scrap Metal, I tried to catch him, but he slipped through.
That damn dog!
"Crap!" I guess I have no choice.
Ever so briskly, I dashed after him while staying hidden from the bad guys.
I ran up to an aisle shelf. The Siberian husky was on the left side of the aisle across from me.- Oh, boy... I don't think he would be this mad. He looked like he was ready to commit murder. I wish I was joking. Still, I can't let him be seen or else the villains will know that I am here too. Trust me, they would know that there is no way in hell that Tech, Obus and Grezzer would take a dog with them.
"Winter! Come back here! Right now!" I whispered-yelled at him this time, and he FINALLY got attention from me! And yes, I was frustrated with him. "Get over here!" I gestured a sign to come to me-
CRASH! BANG!
Suddenly, the shelf on my side shook to the point that it was about to fall on top of me! I gasped and quickly reacted to keep it still, preventing it from happening.
Way to go, me!
Letting out a sigh of relief, I looked back to see THAT WINTER HAVE VANISHED!!! ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME!?!?
Ą̷̨͙̹̗͎̮́͗̈́̔A̴̯͚̭͎̩͕̰͂̎Ḁ̸̘͇̒̇̉̌̾A̷̫͇̞͇̹͐̅̑̀̽Ä̴̝̼̳͍̬̪̙̊̂̈̌͂̐̚͝A̴̛̬̐͗̚͘͠Å̵͉͛̆̐͗̉̉̊͘A̷̢͉̟̺̋͝A̸͉̖͗̈́̿A̸̹̹̭̻͛̓́̕Ą̵̘̥͓̰͚̲̜̦̓̑̔͗A̴̧̫̗̎̿A̵̡̨̙̩̤̩̦̝͋̈́̊̃̑́͋̀͝A̸̜͍͋́̉́͒̇̆͠Ą̵̥̮̣͎̩̱͑̔̆͐̐̎̕A̶̧̡͙̼̤͍͚͇̔͑̂̈́̿̊͌́͘A̴̺̺̞͗̏̋͛̌̆̃Ą̵̢̧͇̬̦̪͖̺̽͑̀̓́̽̿̕͝A̶͔͈̱͓̍̾̈́͐̅͝͝Å̷̢͈̞̗͍̬̣̜̼͂̏À̴̫̦͔H̴͙̱̀͐̉H̴̛͍̤̘͉̥̼̙͖̹̞́̓̾̐͐̍̕̕Ḩ̵̨̩̹̠̙͗͜͜H̶̨̠͔̞͇̭̾͜H̸̝̊̒͑̐̎̀̃͘͜H̴̜̱̝̻̃̐̏̃H̶͉̪̞̞̒̆H̴̨̟͍̫̖̮̼͛́̆̑H̶̨̧̰̮̖͚̖͙̮̉͑̕̕ͅH̸̛̯̹̰̝̹̝͔̿̋̔̈́̈͐̿̽̒H̷̤̤̬̎̕H̸͔̲̯͓̗̼̙͈́́H̵̡̝͚̭̟͊̽́H̴̫̖̩̗̤́͊̎̀͜H̸̡̛͚͙̖͚̞̘̰͋̀̇͌̒H̶͈̦̺̪̺̠͇̄H̵̳̟̣͖̝̼̳͉̮̹̔H̸̢̡̜̳̗͎͖͐͌͜!̶̡̣̻͇̰̬̯̯͖͍̎̂̒̔͂̈́̽́!̶͕͕͖̅̽̈́͆̌̍͘!̵͇̗̱̥̰͖̽͋͐̚!̸͈̹̖̄̐͊!̵̛̲͎͓͐̾͌̀͐͒͜!̸̛͕͉͇̍̉!̶̳̽͆̈́͠!̵̧̛͉̥͓͓̠̎͋̾͑͜ͅ!̵̧͔̭͚̲͚͖̱̩̐!̴͉͚͍̿̾̊͜!̵̧̛̠̳͉̮͚͚̙́̐͒́̌̇̈́ͅ

I peeked around the corner to see Winter biting Scrap Metal's leg- somehow my dog didn't lose any teeth after he bit him... Once Scrap was distracted by my dog (who always held a grudge against a tin metal punk for whatever the hell his reason was) he got punched across the face by Obus.
The leaf-coloured bot deserves it anyway.
... "Why do I feel uneasy?"
"I knew you would show up,"
"Wah!" Alarmed, a sudden voice spoke to me. I spun around to see- "Ugiz-zo," I snarled his name coldly.
"You are here for the cure, correct?" I didn't answer. I grew vexed at him the moment I saw him, so vexed that I wanted his tin can head to pop! It was almost too simple; he held the bottle close to me... I couldn't focus on the situation. Thanks to my determination to get that cure off his grasp to save Oscar. I thought I was quick. So I attempted to snatch it but he was fast enough to drop the bottle so it dangled around his neck. As a result, I knocked his hand away instead. "I knew that was going to happen as well," he rolled his eyes and shook his head in dismay. "Are you still mad at me?" he asked monotonously.
"Idiot, what kind of a question is that!?" I gave him the fiercest death glare I could muster as I scoffed indignantly.
"Oh, I don't know. What do you think, Ugiz?"
"Enraged, sorrowful, weak and- oh my... An extremely high level of anxiety, I didn't think your Anxiety Disorder was that bad even though you're not that noticeable," my anger was washed away by deep shock. I was literally shaken to hear what he said. The fact that HE SOMEHOW KNEW MY MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM! I NEVER brought that up with him or anyone else! And I thought the characters knowing my name was horrifying! "I see a lot of negativity in you," his eyes stare at me, weary.
I never thought Ugiz could detect feelings (I mean, he's a robot so, of course, robots have scanners), however, he doesn't make sense of how he could have possibly known I have an Anxiety Disorder. Well, I'm so far improving over time but still get anxious almost too easily, which is why doctors still say that I'm still diagnosed with anxiety, judging by the ridiculous events my parents or I tell them...
Without even thinking at all, I kicked him in the stomach causing this weirdo to fall to his knees, and I successfully managed to quickly take the cure bottle necklace off his neck- Damn THAT WAS A PERFECT CHANCE! Speaking of chances, it's also my chance to get the hell out of here!
"WINTER!" I called out, not only getting Winter's attention but also everyone else's, which led to me getting out of the building. Without further ado, the husky followed me till we hid around the corner of the building before Ugiz or any of the villains had the chance to catch me. I kneeled down to my dog's level and hooked the cure bottle around his neck, then my hazel eyes stared deadly serious through his special blue ones. "Run as fast as you can to the hideout. We'll meet you there, now go!" In response to my command, Winter barked believing he was a mighty soldier and ran off... For some stupid reason, I watch Winter runoff far from me instead of just thinking about my own safety.
"You!"
"WHA!" Ugiz caught me out of nowhere, catching me off guard.
Ugiz pinned me against the red brick, trapping me with six robotic tentacles so there was no way I could actually escape this time. I started to fear and... and... Hold on, did I also manage to successfully anger him too? Because it seems like it..? Huh. Ironic, I had never seen him angry before. In a way, it was more emotionless.
Ugiz then leaned very close to my left ear. This action made me shudder to one side only for my arm and shoulder to touch the three tentacles on my right. I don't want anyone as evil as him near me- I'm anxious, of course.
"You are going to mark my words, Airis Gamer, and you better listen well,"
"Oh, crap! I really did tick him off! He was literally known to not get easily angered due to his personality!" Even if there was a monotone in his voice, you could hear the timid temper in it too.
"This is the only cure I have left. I have more but I don't have the rest with me. I only take one with me at all times in case of an emergency. I cannot make more of them in your home world since it's not the same as mine... Unless our worlds are officially combined..." His whisper sends chills down my spine- wait- Hold the phone, once again-
"... What..? 'Unless our worlds are officially combined???' ..."
"With that said, if I ever poison your pathetic boyfriend of yours again, or anyone else this time... They'll be dead and there is nothing you can do about it," OH, OK! I-I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FEEL AFTER THAT FIRST BIT! WHY DO I FEEL MY CHEEKS GETTING A LITTLE WARM!?!?
Besides that, I'm getting trepidation at his warning! My whole body became numb at this point.
I could feel him moving away from my ear- THANK GOD! SOME SPACE! BUT STILL TRAPPED! Looking up, I notice his anger has subsided, and he's back to his normal self... just curious about something.
"I'm surprised... I thought you would be weak AND useless... Judging by your boyfriend, humans are known to be weak... Maybe I am wrong about you..."
"What?" I muttered, puzzled about what he was talking about now.
What does he mean by that? I hope what he was telling me the whole time wasn't true... Oh, right! I nearly forgot that I am at risk of being kidnapped at any time! I need to avoid that!
Ugiz grabbed my arm while I grasped his wrist to stop him. It wasn't long before he was able to kidnap me. I ended up being rescued again, this time by Grezzer, the strongest member of 'The Cosmic Five'. Grezzer appeared out of nowhere and punched the depressed, confusing robot across the face, sending him tumbling to the ground. (YES, KING!) Then Grezzer grabbed one of his tentacles and threw him until he smashed into a brick wall across from us (about a metre away).
Meanwhile, I was very relieved and thankful for the save.
"Are you alright? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Grezzer asked, glancing at me with perturbation.
"Yeah, I'm ok,"- I nodded- " and he didn't harm me. “Thanks for saving me, I thought I was going to get kidnapped," I also took some time to ease my 'near to having an anxiety attack' moment.
Grezzer also became at ease with my answer.
"You're lucky that Ugiz-zo wastes his time talking to victims, especially when there are protectors standing by your side," he isn't wrong.
Ugiz talked about emo phase stuff and confused his senses (which is the point of his ability), to the extent that he wasted time and couldn't follow the command. You could say he's 64% useless.
"Tech saw what happened between you and Ugiz. He's catching up with your pet to take him back to the hideout quicker,"
"He saw our interaction..? Why didn't he do anything to prevent that from happening?.. Good thing he's taking Winter back to the hideout, I guess,"
"Grezzer!" We turned our heads to see the red and gold bot standing out from the corner of the red and blue building, seeming over hyped of unease. "Stop standing around with Airis like a complete moron! We have to leave or else Ugiz and the others will attack us again! "They don't get low health for very long!" Obus shouted in a frantic tone as his action became impatient of standing around.
"We're coming!" We left in a hurry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

█🕹️👾🎮Chapter 9: The Result░▒▓█
March 29th 2036, Saturday, 7:31 a.m. (Third Person P.O.V) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attention is immediately drawn to the brown-painted double door behind Airis and Techblast. Of course, it was a bot that burst into the openly average cafeteria, unexpectedly. It was Kitt, except it wasn't unexpected to Airis since she had assumed he would tell the group rather than Qute.
The dark brown-haired girl and the leader of TCF turned to face the young bot while the rest of 'The Cosmic Five' and Jet Greez (who had just returned from somewhere that nobody seemed to have noticed he'd vanished out of the blue. Other than Airis, who has the whole time. Despite meeting Jet in real life for the first time, Airis still has a small amount of disconcerted feeling whenever she sees him or is forced to acknowledge his presence. Furthermore, she could see the suspicion surrounding him, a walking red flag. Jet left the cafeteria around the time 'The Cosmic Five' tried to cheer her up. The way he left was sceptical). Despite Airis' desire to speak about the anti, it wasn't the appropriate time due to her thoughts of Oscar. Plus, Jet hadn't done anything mischievous to betray her and the rest of the group. Well, not yet, or at least she hopes he never does.
All of the bots gathered on the silver bench to hear the news.
Almost all of them were hungry for answers, especially Airis.
"What is the result, Kitt?" Mechtra is the first to speak.
To find out how the yellow bot would respond, he looked through the tablet of results he had brought with him.
"Well, I took a bit of a blood sample from Oscar and the result... It's..."- He paused out of trepidatious, knowing that Airis didn't seem to be in a positive mood about Oscar at the moment. Even so, he knew that he had to be truthful, which would make her more anxious for Oscar... It's not like he has any other choice. Eventually, Kitt gained some courage to get it off his chest. "It's vastly deadly to humans. After Qute scanned him, she told me that the poison is increasing far more rapidly than a robot getting affected," Kitt then showed the diagram of Oscar's body, pointing the red marking of where it started (the left shoulder) up to the red marking of where the poison is up to from the grey, hologram tablet.
... My God...
The infection spread across the neck, arms, and close to the chest where his heart is located. It certainly doesn't show any promising signs at all.
"Just as I thought," Jet Greez spoke, sounding a touch apathetic. "It would also mean he'd be dead pretty soon," ... The rest of the bots stared at him- eh- more like glared at him immediately.
As for Airis, she had her head down to her sneakers. Unknown to tell how she was feeling of what he said. This is because Jet is on the opposite side of Airis and Tech from the cafeteria bench. In other words, Airis has her back towards him the whole time so he and the others (but Tech) couldn't see her facial expression, and somehow Jet completely forgot about her feeling sorrowful over Oscar.
For the first time in Jet's life, he had a sense of feeling that he made a HUGE mistake- on the inside, he rarely expressed it on the outside. Usually, he wouldn't be too concerned about any current events. He also likes to wrath anyone as a joke, especially for no reason... but now that he's on Real Earth... It felt different...
SLAM!
"J3T 6R332!" Tech scolded as his robotic hands slammed on the metal, shiny table- pretty much dense it by accident- while simultaneously standing up from the bench chair, leaving Jet baffled and startled.
"What? What I'm saying-..."- Now he realised- "Oh..." He would admit that he completely forgot that Airis is a sensitive person, including that he had heard the sound of her cries.
Then again, it's bizarre that he somehow forgot about it since he's, after all, a robot. Robots remember everything.
"YOU IMBECILE!" Obus yelled as well, just as upset as his leader, and grabbed him by the black neckerchief to pull him up close to his face, showing his teeth gritting together and pure, flaming, raging eyes.
Jet laughed skittishly until he began to try to fix his inadvertent mistake quickly.
"I-I apologise, I wasn't intending to upset her," his sincereness wasn't convincing anyone.
"If you'd used your tin can brain, YOU WOULDN'T NEED TO UPSET THE POOR GIRL!!"
"That's enough! And let him go Obus, you know he's the type of bot to hook anyone to make them enraged at him," Mechtra interrupts since she knows the almost controlling bot is thinking to beat the living shit out of Jet.
"But I'm really sincere! Honest!" Jet objected, causing Obus to tighten his grip and growl lowly until-
"Everyone!" The orange bot got everyone's attention except Airis', who is in her space thinking about Oscar's impending death, and possibly thinking that it's her fault for leaving him behind, again. Something that Techblast wasn't too pleased about because the human girl was getting better before. Thanks to Jet foolishly mentioning Oscar most likely dying everything is back to square one. Now Tech is praying to the soul stars that things will move in the right direction. "Kitt might have some more news to share," Through the tone of Grezzer's voice it was calm yet sorry.
Why is that? Easy to answer.
The group turned to the scared innocent bot. Kitt's expression was 'the first-time encounter with a ghost'. The sight of him made Tech and Obus feel entirely guilty about what had just happened. Techblast reverts to being serious about the situation and Obus lets go of Jet (he will let Jet off the hook, however, Jet won't get away with it the next time. A side note: Jet is relieved that he's not dead).
Everyone moves on... Well, almost everyone. Airis may still be stuck in her own world.
Tech coughs as a sign of moving on.
"... Is there a cure?" The leader asked Kitt with an awkward look.
Meanwhile, Kitt was still a tad shocked but he was able to answer-
"Yes, there is," Airis suddenly answered instead of Kitt, which isn't something Kitt expected at all.
He was also taken aback to hear that there was actually a cure... Well, he already knew that. What Kitt was going to say is that there is a cure, but there wouldn't be enough time to create one since Ugiz-zo's poison was to make sure that the victim would die rapidly, faster than any other deadly poison. That's the reason why he was nervous from the beginning.
The more pertinent question for him and everyone else would be; how did she know that there is a cure? Other than Jet Greez, he already has an idea.
The girl in the white jumper with the colourful writing 'Free to be me' can tell there are many eyes on her. She figured that they might be as shocked as Kitt.
Airis' attitude became serious about the situation rather than crying about it. The reason for it was that she completely understood Tech's words about negative thoughts. She wants to not let anxiety get in the way. Although she knew that it isn't going to be easy, she mastered successfully controlling her emotions for once, only for once.
Airis tilted her head up.
"There is?" Tech questioned with an eyebrow raised.
The girl nodded.
"Yes. Slaytrap told me that Ugiz had created a cure, and he showed it to me. It's the small black bottle that's around his neck,"
"What a coincidence, I thought it was an accessory," Grezzer laughed, happy to hear that there is a cure after all, and equally perplexed since he didn't think the necklace was a bottle with a cure inside.
"That is going to be a problem," attention shifted to Jet Greez. "U91Z-Z0 could be anywhere. We tried tracking the 'bad team' down before, thanks to the location being covered by security. It was no use,"
"Actually, I did manage to track him down," Kitt remarked, causing a sense of revelation from the others.
"Are you saying he's out of the safe zone?"
"Correct! While I was researching the poison, I was also tracking Ugiz at the same time, for great ambition to find him... I didn't know why but I had the 'sense of feeling' to do it, by luck, I found him at Health Space near Cranbourne Park Shopping centre," once again, Kitt used the tablet to show all of them the map of the area where Ugiz-zo is this time, while Airis was thrown by what Kitt meant by Health Space.
There's no such place in her home world but the video game characters'... Unless...
The girl's Hazel eyes studied closely at the hologram map.
Ten seconds later, her brain cells finally clicked.
"Oh, you mean Chemist Warehouse?" She corrected Kitt while her thin eyebrow raised.
"Well, yes, but it was now changed to the Health Space,"
"Huh? What do you mean??" Another question running through her mind was why would Ugiz-zo be over there? It didn't make any sense at all because he wasn't badly injured. Also, why on earth is Chemist Warehouse now called Health Space? Is it just something they call, or just a preference? She was so confused.
"As I told you before Airis, questions will be answered once we help your friend," the leader told her.
"Why?"
"So your friend doesn't ask the same question as yours," Mechtra answered.
"Fair enough," Airis nodded, understanding the reason.
"Is there anyone with him?" Tech asked Kitt.
"Drillbit, Crowby and Scrap Metal are there too," the 'Cosmic Five leader headed towards the yellow bot and stood next to him to face the rest of us.
"Does it really have to be Crowby and Scrap?" Reluctant, Airis thought to herself as well as a hint of chills running down her spine at the two specific names being mentioned.
You could tell that she didn't want to see those two again.
"Alright team," Techblast announced, being the capable leader of the group. "We have a survivor who is at risk and needs our help to save him. The only bot who has the cure and isn't alone outside of the safe zone is U91Z-Z0. Me, Grezzer and Obus will depart and retrieve the cure while the rest of you-"
"I'm coming too," the girl with two pigtails declared and stood with confidence. The group stared in disbelief and fear at the young girl, nonetheless, Tech seemed more concerned than incredulous about her sudden willingness to volunteer. Don't get him wrong, he appreciates any help, but there are some circumstances which are: It's a major risk for Airis to be out there, he can guarantee that the villains would be using location tracking from their end along with some spy cameras. Tech decided to tell her not to come in a polite manner. "That is thoughtful of you, Airis, but it's too dangerous. The bad guys could easily kidnap you, especially Crowby," even though Techblast tries to urge her not to tag along, it won't work no matter what.
Airis is too stubborn because she's more determined than anything else to save her cru- friend's life. (Since Clifton is possibly not around) Oscar is the only friend she has left... There is no way she's gonna accept losing another one.
"So what? My friend is about to die. Soon. I need to get that cure!"
"Revenge will cause you more pain-" Airis holds up an index finger in front of Tech's face.
"My dude, I'm sorry but let me stop you right there... No offence meant, but everyone hears this type of talk about revenge all the time, so yes, I know being revengeful will accomplish nothing. My tagalong is not seeking revenge,"- she lowers her hand down- "I'm tagging along for help. Help told me to save Oscar. That's what it wanted. I'm not going to sit around and what? Feel extremely anxious again? Finding out Oscar died and me having to live the rest of my life amidst deep, heartbreaking grief? The only way I can feel revengeful is after moving on from the death of Oscar. If he dies," ...
Techblast.exe has stopped working.
No one else spoke, meaning no comments were made...
"Captain... I think she should come with you," Mechtra suggested, causing the rest of us to focus on her.
Obus didn't like the sound of this, not one bit. Since he also doesn't like the idea of putting a child at risk either. Dealing with Oscar is sort of less stressful than dealing with saving a life and kidnap.
"Have you lost your screws and bolts, Mechtra!?" Obus exclaimed.
"Never thought I'd say this but... Obus is right. Have you really lost it?" Grezzer agreed with Obus.
The purple female bot wore a serious look.
"Look, I don't want her to find out her friend's death wish being granted. I can already see it happening. Besides, her dog seems strong and brave enough to help and protect Airis. I think she'll be ok as long as she's with him or with you and the other two,"
Woof!
"So, what do you think Captain?" Kitt asked out of curiosity how this event is turning out.
Everyone glances at Tech for an answer.
At the moment, he seemed merely to be thinking about it. However, when he glanced at Airis, he noticed her pleading look, which is nearly difficult to ignore... Up until he sighed, a sign that he had given in.
"I suppose you can come..."
"This could also show how capable this kid is. Despite the fact that she doesn't have any superpowers or... I'll think more about this,"
"Yes!" Airis cheered as she pumped her fist in the air.
Obus' jaw dropped.
"WHAT!? Are you serious!? You're willing to let that human child come with us!? What kind of a leader are you?!" Techblast shows his second-in-command a sharp reassuring smirk.
"Yes, Obus. I am. but we mustn't stand around any longer or argue. We have a friend to save," ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

█🕹️👾🎮Chapter 8: Rescued and…░▒▓█
March 29th, 2036, Saturday morning, 7:20 a.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oscar passed out when Winter and the rest of 'The Slayers' arrived. If only Techblast was around, I would need help from him RIGHT NOW!.. Although, there's no use. No way in hell that Winter can take down six powerful bots, even if he were to rip Scrap Metal's leg. If he's able to, what can I do? Nothing. I won't be able to fight them off- UGH! It was a mistake to follow Oscar's orders. I really should've just ignored him and helped him get back up! Slow us down or not, I would have risked it for the biscuit! Then that way, he didn't have to face Ugiz-zo and get infected with the poison.
Me being the pathetic girl, looking down at my crush and then at Winter (who was growling at the group), my anxiety level shot off the chart. I lifted the blonde-haired boy a bit which caused his head to weakly land on my shoulder. Since then, I have gradually begun to cry, knowing this is the end for us...
Winter barks in the background while the TS tries to get close to us, but he doesn't allow it... I guess the dog is stronger and more protective than I thought... Yet, he can't really save us…
... A miracle happened…
THUD!
"Leave the children alone!" A voice screamed, which sounded like an overprotective parent who came right on time to fight off the bad guy, except that ‘parent’ wasn't a parent at all.
The sobbing ceased and my eyes widened to the size of a tennis ball (not literally).
"That voice... That's-" A gasp broke out from me.
Releasing joy and relief, I looked up behind to see a familiar light blue bot standing on the knocked-down old tree (that was caused by Slaytrap to trap me).
"Captain Techblast!" I exclaimed, smiling with hope.
And he's all fixed too!
On the other side, Slaytrap growled at him, shooting him death glares.
The others did the same.
Little did we know that Techblast didn't just show up alone.
"You heard our leader!" Someone yelled, just when the light blue bot's team joined him on the large, old tree- Hold up. Jet Greez!? He's helping team 'Cosmic Five'??? "Leave the children alone!" So it was the red and gold bot that spoke, Obus.
Everything has fallen silent since the arrival of 'The Cosmic Five'. No one attacked, responded, or said anything else; everyone was still. The two teams, good (plus an untrustworthy anti) and evil, glare at each other. (Not much for Jet Greez). I watched both sides, trying to see if either of the team was about to strike. While all of this was happening, my dog quietly approached me and passed out Oscar, and circled around to provide protection in case anything happened.
Not gonna lie, I also feel the sensation of awkwardness floating in the air.
"LeAdEr? Do We AtTaCk ThEm? I aM uP fOr It!" Thank God, someone spoke.
I looked over at The Slayers till I hugged my sick friend a bit tighter. I felt more protective this time than I did with Winter, back when that heartless team followed us. Speaking of him. He growled at them a second time with a deeper and sterner tone, showing his sharp, drooling teeth; a subtle hint of dominance.
By the looks of Slaytrap, he was definitely in deep thought, including when he was glancing at me and 'The Cosmic Five' almost repeatedly... What is he up to..?
"Retreat,"
"WHAT!?" His team was very aghast, except for Sark who might have taught his son to be wise.
In spite of everything, this isn't something I expected. I absolutely know for sure that he would launch into an attack, as a rather... Unless something was holding him back from doing so... or it's because of how he was taught to be a wise leader like his father... I still find it strange.
He, along with the rest of his team, retreated into the fresh green forest, just like what Slaytrap had said.
As you can tell, I am baffled by what just happened. The only time he would retreat is when he's injured or knows he's about to lose, but preparing for a battle???
"We need to chase after them! They're getting away!" I looked back at the 'Cosmic Five' once again, and Jet Greez too. Oh Obus, the serious, disciplined, and somewhat controlling member of the team.
"Obus, I am the leader of this group, and I make the orders. We'll have to let them go for now," Techblast calmly told him as he grabbed his shoulder to stop him. Obus was a wee bit upset with Techblast. In a sweeping gesture, he rolled his fingers into a fist and stared malevolently in the direction where 'The Slayers' had retreated. "Our first mission was to find Airis and keep her safe. Not taking down the bad guys and holding them hostage, yet," with that, Obus' expression changed to something a touch calmer.
The red and gold bot lightened his fists and let out a sigh, knowing his leader was right.
"Apologies, young Captain Techblast, you are correct..." Until then, a light purple female bot got off the tree and came up to me, Oscar and Winter with a huge concerned look on her face.
Mechtra is her name.
"Are you alright?" She asked gently as she knelt next to me.
I felt a lot safer and hyped at the same time about the rest of the 'Cosmic Five' being here with Techblast. Nevertheless, I'm a little more apprehensive about Oscar.
"Y-Yes and no... my friend... he's been poisoned and is in real need of help," I told her.
She glanced down at the sick, unconscious boy and then held his pale cheek to get a better view of him. She stared at him for a couple of moments as her eyes seemed to scan, prompting her to frown with concern and seriousness.
"This is not good..."
"Ugiz-zo must be the one who did it. He's the only one that makes poisons," the strongest orange bot in the group said.
That's Grezzer.
"I found Ugiz poison dart," a ten-year-old, male, yellow bot named Kitt announced.
Kitt was holding it carefully to show, (I must have dropped it when Oscar was collapsing), until the anti snatched the silver and yellow dart off Kitt's hand to examine it. With interest including a reveal of a sly smile across his metal face. I don't trust him, nor does Winter. Knowing my dog well enough, he would have been as uneasy as I am around Jet Greez.
"OOO~ What do we have here?~ Ugiz worked exceptionally well with this-"
"Jet, hand it back to Kitt. We need to get back to the hideout to aid this boy," Techblast told him in a serious-unsettling manner.
The anti's smile faded and he gave the captain the sigh eyes, though he knew he must listen.
"Fine," the black, silver, green and red robot sighed knowingly as he handed it back to Kitt, who gladly took it.
"I'll lend you a hand," Grezzer says to me as he gets off the dead tree.
The moment his feet touch the dusty ground with a loud thud, the ground gives a little shock as a mini earthquake.
This leads to Winter moving away, fearing the sudden shake of the ground- he's fine.
Jesus, I didn't think he was that strong in real life-
Grezzer walked over to me while Mechtra moved away so the stronger bot could carefully take Oscar off of my grasp, and he held him like he was a baby in- Holy crap! His arms are twice as large as Oscar's in one arm! I was taken aback by just noticing his size, leading Grezzer to chuckle.
After he got my friend, with the other arm, he used his free hand to help me up, which I gratefully took.
"Thanks,"
"No problem, Airis Gamer," ... Oh yeah... I forgot that the characters somehow knew my name...
"... How do you guys know my full name?" Ah, back to the uneasy questions.
I felt a touch creeped out, especially since there was no explanation as to how they knew my name. On the other hand, I am curious about the majority of things.
"We'll answer your questions once we help out your friend first," Techblast said. "Right now, we need to get back to the hideout before any other villains are nearby,"
"Oh, uh... Sure?"
***
I cannot believe that their hideout was even remotely close to us! You know the church where me and Oscar meet up? And remember that I mentioned that there's a school behind it? That's where they were! I never expected that place to be a hideout! Who knows why they chose that place out of all other locations?
Me and Winter followed them to what I believe is the sickbay (since that's the obvious place where sick/injured people are kept). We were met with a white door that had the red plus symbol in addition to a sign underneath the plus that said 'sickbay.' As we entered, I gasped in disbelief. My hazel eyes sparkled like stars and my mouth dropped. The sickbay was turned into a mini-hospital. It looked a little more futuristic too! Computers, tubes... futuristic items! A lot cooler than ANY other hospital whenever I visit one! Or sickbay!
"How did you guys-"
"It's a secret that won't be revealed," Kitt said proudly.
"Kitt, the human boy’s life is still in extreme danger!" Techblast said, sounding hurried about the situation.
"Oh, right! I'm on it!" The young yellow bot hurried off to the bunch of computers- pretty much the doctor's desk but ten times better.
My eyes glimpse at Grezzer who's carefully putting him on the skinny sickbay bed. Right when he placed him down, I strolled over to the blonde-haired boy and held his pale left hand. He's looking even paler than before, almost like he's turning completely white, white as snow. This sight of him causes me to feel furious yet incredibly anxious.
Furious at Ugiz-oz, and highly anxious about my friend most likely dying!
"Where's Qute?" Grezzer asked-
BANG!
"I'm here!" My head shot around to see a small, adorable floating aqua bot. Oh. My. God! It's her! My favourite cinnamon roll! It would be nice if I were more excited about it. However, my anxiety is telling me no, and accusing me of leaving my friend alone and allowing him to die. Qute glanced around hastily, which is adorable, especially with her cute high pitched voice. "Where's the patient!? Is it Ms Airis Gamer!? Ohhhhhh I hope she's ok-!"
"Whoa, Qute! Calm down, it's not Ms Airis Gamer, it's her friend," Mechtra giggled lightly at the diminutive floating bot.
Qute blankly stared at Mechtra.
"I thought Ms Airis Gamer was the only one left?" The anxiety that was running through my mind paused at what I heard.
"What does she mean by that?" I didn't want to say anything (I couldn't anyway, someone's life is at risk).
The better word would be 'not yet', so I pretend that I didn't hear it by looking back at Oscar.
"You must be Ms Airis Gamer!" I whipped around to meet Qute, very up close.
The way she smiled brightly, sweet as honey, made me want to hug her so badly! I kept my cool though.
"Yes, that's me. Nice to meet you," I smiled back.
More of a smile that something had drained the joy out of me.
She looked over my shoulder and saw Oscar. Looking astounded, she floated above him.
"Oh my! He looks very pale! Allow me to scan him!" I nodded and moved aside to let Qute do her thing.
Watching her use her aqua laser scan through her eyes. Without noticing, someone approached behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder, causing me to jolt back out of startlement. My head immediately turned in a dash to see none other than Captain Techblast.
"We should leave them be so they can concentrate. They'll tell us the results soon," he said, in a manner of trying to lift my spirits, though I don't understand how doing that while I'm in here would be such a great idea.
I anxiously glanced at the blonde-haired boy one last time before I was gently pushed away from him. I followed the leader out of the sickbay along with the rest of the group, except Kitt who was obviously a medic like Qute.
***
We were in the school cafeteria. I was sitting on a bench alone... Not really, I had Winter with me. He had his head on my lap while I patted his fluffy head. I used my other free hand to scroll through the photos of me and Oscar back when we were younger on my phone... The moment I arrived here (which was twenty minutes ago) I cried in tears about Oscar.
I was not prepared to lose someone that I cared about most, not yet at least...
The others (except Jet) tried to cheer me up but it didn't help me feel any better... Not even Winter could cheer me up, I was still too sorrowful. It was soon decided by 'The Cosmic Five' that they should leave me alone and allow me to have my moment of grief, so they gave me space. Winter remains with me, which is something I love about him. He has always been by my side since my parents got him for me for Christmas, three years ago.
***
Tick, tock, tick, tock...
God knows how long I've been a mess.
"Hey... Airis Gamer," I looked up at the voice.
It was Techblast again.
A small, comforting smile spread across the leader's face as he sat opposite me on the cafeteria bench. The husky lifted his head up to see the blue bot just as I placed my phone in my pocket. I rest my arms on the table, then lean in to bury my head inside the gap, depressingly.
"Hi... Captain..." I greet him in a forlorn tone.
"You may call me Tech for short if you want," I just nodded my head without giving him eye contact at all. "Your friend will be alright, trust me," I let out a deep sigh at his words.
"I guess... And please, just call me Airis, you don't really need to call me 'Ms Airis Gamer' or my full name. Airis or Iris is fine. The same applies to Oscar as well... I know he'll say that..." Well crap, I'm gonna cry again for mentioning him.
"Stop crying you fucking cry-baby!" I can't help it, my emotions are too sensitive about what happened.
I knew I was horrible and a dumbass- I'M SO SORRY OSCAR! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!!
"Hey, hey, hey, hey!"- I could hear movement that I can only assume is Tech until I hear him sitting next to me with a soft 'clink' sound since the tables are metal- he's sitting on my right because Winter is on my left. Next, he held my shoulders. I never mentioned this before but his hands felt cold, even though I'm wearing a jumper. Then again, the jumper isn't designed for cold seasons, only for a stroll through spring, ya know? "Hey, please look up at me," I could detect comfort and foreboding in his tone. I listened and faced him slightly. Now I see his worried expression. "I meant, sit up and look at me properly," ... I didn't want to but my body did. I sat up and properly faced him- !!!! I gasped out loud at the unexpected- Techblast hugged me!!! My emotions are mixed, shocked and sorrowful. I don't know how to feel. I was too frozen to hug him back or (unlikely) push him away. In seconds, he began rubbing my back, causing me to melt with relaxation. "Airis..." He began, although he paused, possibly thinking of what he would say next. "I'm really sorry that you have to go through this. What you've been through was terrifying and left you in deep shock... Finding out your friend has been poisoned isn't something you can handle after witnessing it... At such a young age..." Tears fell out of my eyes like the beginning of a new waterfall.
My voice and breathing were shaky and hitched.
"I-It's my... f-fault... I-"
"No. It's not,"
"H-How could you know th-th-that!?" I pushed him off furiously and was still a mess. "You weren't there! N-N-None of you were! Oscar trip-ped and I want-t-ted to help him get back on his feet but he told me to go, AND I LISTENED! I let him f-ace Ugiz-zo and look at the result! He got p-p-poisoned!" I ululate... How is he so calm..? And my frustrated yell caused my poor dog to whimper away- DAMN IT AIRIS!
"Airis, listen. Since I now know what happened, I believe Oscar wants to keep you safe. He might as well have known that something was up. He might have been aware that you were wanted. All of this didn't happen because you apparently abandoned him. He told you to go,"
"W-What the heck are you saying?!?!?"
"I'm saying he sacrificed his life for you," ... Blank... Tears... shock... I can't wrap my head around this... Wait- "Why did you think he demanded you to keep going?" It took me a couple of brain cells to click.
“Of course! He's right! Oscar was keeping me safe! That fucking knucklehead! WHY!?” Facing completely down at my lap.
Mentally, I was losing myself, my sanity-
"Hey..." Tech's finger was under my chin and lifted it up to face him. His other hand wiped my tears away. "It's a lot to progress. You are young and developing, and I know we only met a day ago but I'm extremely worried for you. Heck, I would do the same as Oscar, protect someone I care about most... And please listen... I don't comprehend why you believe that it's your fault when it's not. Don't believe those negative thoughts, Airis. This type of thinking makes you look bad or worse. I know you're smart, caring, loyal, trustworthy and the most wonderful human that anyone has ever known," ... He makes me smile a little bit.
"I... Thanks... And sorry for pushing you away…" Tech smiled warmly.
"You weren't in the best mood, so I understand," I suddenly felt a soft push against my leg.
I looked down to see that it was Winter, staring up at me with a hurt and sad look in his blue eyes.
"And I'm sorry for scaring you, Win," To make it up, I rubbed the back of his ear. This led to him being much happier than usual. His black and white tail wagged till he leapt at me and licked my cheek, making me giggle. "H-Hey!"
BANG!
"Guys! I have news!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

March 29th, 2036, Saturday, 6:55 a.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now that everyone is still distracted by Winter, it was my turn to shine. I ran out of my hiding spot and threw the bat with all of my might at Drillbit.
BONK!
"Ow!" Drillbit cried out in pain. It was a success! My plan is working smoothly so far! Drillbit lost his grip on my friend who also fell on top of Scrap Metal.
You could even hear SM’s loud, glitchy shriek.
I kept running, running towards Airis. That feared girl.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!" I screamed once I reached her and knowing that we were toast, without stopping, I grabbed her hand or wrist- I'm not sure! It's difficult to tell!- And get the hell out of here!
"C'MON WINTER!" Airis yelled out for him.
Since we were already far away from danger, it was difficult to tell if he heard her or not. Then again, dogs have a sharp sense of hearing, so I'm sure he'll catch up with us... Hopefully.
For quite a while, we both kept on running. We had to run at least as far as possible. This is because we know The Slayers are as nimble as that other character, Crowby. The unfortunate news is that Winter hadn't caught up with us... maybe my plan didn't work exactly as expected...
Prepared for murder.
***
We stopped to catch our breaths after a three-kilometre run... We'd been running like we were in a fundraising marathon! I had my hands on my knees while Airis leaned and placed her hand on a nearby tree. I felt sweat dripping from my forehead as my heart beat so fast that it felt like a thunderbolt supplying me with an immense amount of energy. When there is too much of it, it drains unexpectedly.
It was really impressive that we were able to run this distance, possibly because fear ran through our bodies till it wore out.
"That... was... close!" I huffed heavily, still catching my breath.
"Y-Yeah... but Winter... didn't... come with us..." Airis huffed out.
"I believe he'll... be fine..."
"Be fine...!? He's all alone... with that dangerous group!" She retorted with a snap of her free fingers.
On second thought, I don't want to die.
"This is impossible... They're real..?" I changed the subject right away before she got even angrier.
It's very unpredictable.
I stood up to see her looking stunned and confused at the same time.
"Hang on a minute... You know who they are?"
"Uh, yes!? They're The Slayers from 'War of Time,'. The video game is awesome and I've heard so many positive reviews about it! So of course, I would check it out! And became a wee bit addicted to it since, to be honest, hehe..." I grew hyped over that game, especially when talking about it. Airis has that phase as well but... she's more scared and confused at this moment... I didn't have my full attention to that, thanks to my over-excitement about 'War of Time.' Occasionally, I'm not her 'best friend', but it's not on purpose, more often by accident.
She has known me for as long as we can remember, and she doesn't react to it as much.
"You play 'War of Time'???"
"Uh? Did you not hear what I said? It's the most awesome game ever! Actually, now that I think about it... because it's popular, you would definitely have played it! Right?" There was a moment of silence between the two of us.
Airis expressed to me a strange look.
"Right... Now I know you play WoT. But why didn't you tell me?"
"I guess the topic didn't present itself," I shrugged, because I seriously don't know either.
"Well, in that case, we should friend each other- HEY, wait a dang minute! You changed the topic on purpose!"
"Damn, I thought I would get away with that," I looked dumbfounded at her, at least I tried.
"Don't know what you're talking about, Iris," I chuckled nervously.
"Dude, don't act like I'm stupid! You put my dog in danger!" Now she's getting a little upset but I'm sure I can handle this...
"Yes, yes, I know! I'll admit that. I-It was the only idea I could think of to get you out of there, and I don't have any intention of letting your dog get hurt, h-honest!" Her hazel eyes squint as well as a bit of glare.
"Mhm,"
"I'm serious! Ugh! Look, please don't be mad at me or even kill me! Because I'm positive that Winter will be ok, trust me, I know it," after a competitive staring contest, Airis sighed and her eyes softened.
She then closed them and pinched her nose bridge.
"Ok, ok. I trust you, and I trust that he'll be ok," she released her nose bridge to open up her eyes again, now seemingly annoyed.
"Well, that's great-"
"I will only murder you if we find him dead. I would be prepared to run if I were you," ... This is a bit unlike her.
I can guarantee that. I never heard her threaten so sternly before. What made her kinda like that? Did something happen or what? Nervously, I gulped and moved on.
"What happened when we were gone?" I asked.
For some reason, she becomes anxious and trails off her sentence, right off the bat. That was the fastest mood swing I have ever witnessed.
"Well..." She looked down to the side as she nervously touched her left pigtail, causing me to frown.
I remember crystal clear how scared she was. I understand it, but she had to at least explain what happened so I wouldn't have to be concerned about her.
"Iris," I clutched her shoulder worriedly.
She answered my question and moved her head to face me, gazing dead into my blue eyes. Then she explained everything that happened and her encounter with OTHER characters!
I was astounded to hear this- in fact, my blue eyes widened.
"They know where you live!?" I yelled practically in her face by accident, causing me to take a few steps back, in regret.
God, what is wrong with me? Yet Airis somehow didn't seem too startled by it (obviously she knew it was an accident). I don't know if I should be glad or mad that she didn't tell me all of this until now, but I don't care! It doesn't matter anyway!
"Yes, they know where I live... What's a little more strange is... they didn't come after me when I was at the front of the house with Winter..."
"Well... Yeah... I guess? So how did the group ambush you? Not talking about your place by the way,"
"After I hit Scrap many times until he got angry at me, Drillbit grabbed me from behind... Then the rest of the group joined in..." She took one breath of unsettlement.
"One last thing. What did Slaytrap say to you?" She didn't answer. I can tell she doesn't want to tell me which makes me feel a bit more anxious. There is no way Airis can keep this from me, especially when we're in a bizarre situation. "Iris?" She still didn't answer. I can see it in her hazel eyes, fear. I cannot help but feel frustrated. "Airis. What did he say?" My voice sounded very stern.
As soon as she understood my emotions, she finally responded.
Thud, thud, thud, thud!-
Or couldn't.
We could hear clanking footsteps coming our way. We turned around to see- Oh shit!
"Slaytrap and Ugiz-oz are coming!!"
"If we keep running on the road they'll surely catch up to us... unless," rapidly thinking. I took Airis again and led her into the bushland. The chase continued as we ran. "That should slow them down a bit,"
"I don't think we can lose them!" My crush yelled, frighteningly.
"Don't doubt this! We will!" I let go of Airis' hand so she could go in front of me.
This is because she's clearly wanted, and I didn't want her to accidentally trip. We were running a bit too close to each other.
I looked back to see Slay and Ugiz far behind us. I knew that would wor- Wait, what the hell?
Someone in a green suit with tubes attached to them approaches someone. He knew nothing about the face of the person other than assuming they might be a male figure. Oscar was seeing through someone's eyes, someone who may have been hurt. The figure reached someone who was lying on the ground, seemingly unable to get up. The figure knelt down. The last thing Oscar saw was a wicked smirk formed on the figure's lip and glowing... eyes? Weird glowing pairs of eyes.
...
"What's that all about? What did I just see?" Either it's an illusion or not, but that distracts me instantly! I mean, I completely forgot about everything-
"- LOG!"
"HUH!?!? WHOA!!!" Unexpectedly I tripped over a log, thanks to my brief distraction. "CRUD!"
"OSCAR!" I looked up to see the girl running towards me, then looked back to see the two bots catching up.
"Double shit!" I face up at Airis again to see her kneeling down to grab my arm, however, I stopped her.
"No! Airis! You shouldn't have come for me! You need to keep going!" The dark brown-haired girl just gripped my arm.
Her jaw dropped and wasn't too thrilled about it either.
"WHAT!? ARE YOU CRAZY!? NO! I can't leave you here! You'll get... Slaughtered!" ... I want her safe... I gave her a sad smile.
"Iris... please," I held her wrist and made her release my arm.
She was thinking so hard. She was looking at the bots and then at me about twice.
"But-"
"Airis Gamer, go! Please don't make me repeat, or we're both goners!" Finally! She agreed! Airis nodded unpleasantly and ran off, leaving me behind.
Now I have to deal with them. Just before I was about to get up, Slaytrap jumped over me to chase after Airis.
"You're shitting me!?-"
"OOF!" I was then pinned down by Ugiz-oz (he was pinning my shoulders).
"You must be LeaderSkater, AKA, Oscar Troyquake, correct?" ... I froze...
"How did you-"
"We know who plays. Many people like this pointless game. We see everything,"
"That's just flat-out creepy, man!" I screamed, struggling to break free from his grip.
He's pretty strong for a skinny ass bot.
"It is not our fault that The Creators made a screen for all of us to watch the players... Or that you all can control us. A worthless kid like you won't understand," I growled at his description of me.
I get it he's designed to be depressing and shit, but what the hell is he talking about???
"What is it you want!? Why are you here!? HOW ARE YOU REAL!?"
"Tsk, I can answer only one... Artron needs your pathetic girlfriend," my eyes were wide in a haze as well as mad yet flustered that he called Airis my 'girlfriend'... I mean, yeah, I like her a lot and I do want her to be my girlfriend one day but... C'mon! We're just friends for now! Wait- DID HE SAY ARTRON?!?!?
"Artron is here too!? But... Why would he want a thirteen-year-old girl? My friend, my secret crush??" I became so furious that I grabbed one of Ugiz-zo's arms to push him off.
It nearly worked but thanks to his tentacles from his back (I forgot he had them) he used two of his claw tentacles to pin me back down.
"Sorry, we don't want you to leave to call for help..."
"OH! Don't tell me-" The silver sorrowfully metal robot turned one of his hands into a dart bullet and pointed it at me! "FUUUUUCK!!" I kicked Ugiz's gut, causing him to FINALLY get off of me! Completely! Then I hurriedly got myself up and ran to save Airis.
***
I was looking for her everywhere, but thanks to the trails of broken branches and Slaytrap's footprints... I know where they are... not yet... For some reason, a few minutes ago I felt sick... My head hurt and I felt weak but I kept running through... for twenty minutes.
"Ah!" I groaned in pain till I stopped to hold my gut. Why in God's name FUCK does my stomach suddenly ache?! "E-Eh... I can't stop... now," even though a couple of bricks are tumbling over me. "I must... rescue Airis..."
BANG!
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"
"A-Airis!" Still holding my painful stomach I ran to the sound of her incredibly loud scream.
It doesn't sound pleasant at all. Slaytrap must have caught her, damn it!
Just as I arrived, I saw an enormous tree blocking Airis' path. She looked like she was in a state of shock, and Slaytrap had trapped her.
"Shit! Fuck! Shit!" I looked around for something to throw at until my eyes caught a rock and a long tree branch.
That's the only option, I guess.
Picking them up, I threw a grey hard rock at Slay's head and ran around him when he wasn't looking... I didn't think this through...
The strong dark blue leader of the TS turned back around and noticed me.
Me holding a branch in a defensive position in front of my crush.
He smirked sinisterly at me.
"You leave... her alone, Slaytrap!" I scolded him...
"You seem like you're dying," I didn't quite catch that.
"Oscar..." That was Airis.
"Yeah?" I turned my attention to the brown-haired girl, who looked very horrid... I grew even more confused than ever.
"W-What..?"
"I-I-I found this dart stuck to your shoulder..." She held up the dart that she was talking about. I couldn't think properly... Oh waitttttt... "OSCAR! YOU'VE BEEN POISONED BY UGIZ-OZ!!!" Suddenly, out of nowhere, I began coughing so hard that my throat hurt so terribly (possibly bleeding internally inside my throat, yet it's not out of my throat). My legs began to tremble to the rocky ground, roughly. Meanwhile, Airis knelt towards me and placed her creamy skin hand on my forehead. "Oh no! And you're heating up! A-A-And you're looking very pale!" She exclaimed to me.
After coughing, I couldn't say anything. I think coughing made me shut up. Seriously, I couldn't say anything.
A sinister laugh erupts from Slay's lips(?), causing both of us our attention.
"U91Z-0Z did an excellent job at shooting his prey without his victim noticing it or feeling a thing," I glared up at him and grabbed the branch again, getting up slowly... but tumbled back down which made me land on Airis' lap this time. Slay mock furthermore. "Trying to stand up for your friend, LeaderSkater?" Fuck him! "Not so useful to help her now, hehe. Are humans really that weak? I expected rather... differently," randomly, I felt two arms wrapped around my chest.
Straight away I knew it was Airis.
"I don't know why this is happening but this has gotten too far! YOU'RE KILLING MY FRIEND!" Airis screamed in rage.
The leader, of course, doesn't give a shit about her cries and keeps smirking, a heartless smirk.
"I am not the one who poisoned him, Snowy_Sky_Husky," Slay defined as he crossed his arms.
The next thing I know, the fucking dark of armour, octopus Emo dude showed up from the shadows... Well, the sun is already up.
"The others are coming, Slaytrap..." he told him, letting out a 'sad' sigh, even though Slay wasn't looking at him.
The leader nodded but didn't say anything to his teammate... I can't think of a better insult for those bastards!!
"Ugiz-oz does have the cure to help your friend,"- he faced the shorter teammate- "Show them the cure," and ordered him.
Ugiz rolled his eyes.
"Whatever..." and held up a small black bottle that was around his neck.
"... That's the cure? I thought that was just an accessory?"
"Now, if you agree to come with us, we'll help your friend, but if you don't..." The leader took a big step closer causing Airis to clench her grip around me even tighter (kind of hurts.) I can tell for sure she's getting timider than ever. Weakly, I held her hand. I'm surprised that I haven't passed out yet. "We'll take you away from him and leave him to rot and die! So I would suggest you make the decision quickly if I were you. I'm no patient bot,"
"Damn it! I can't believe it! We're... I know Airis too well, she's gonna accept it!" Her head faced down at me while my eyes looked at her, tiredly.
She's giving me the look of 'I don't know what to do.' There's no point... I don't know either...
WHOOSH!
Huh?
"W-Winter!?" Airis gasped in a very surprising and joyful tone.
When I look closer, it is indeed Winter... See? I knew he'd catch up... Although... I don't think he's able to help us...
The white and black-furred dog stood in front of us, protecting us... In an instant, I felt the girl moving back, pulling me along with her.
Then the rest of the group came- Uh oh, my vision is getting blurry!
"No! Not now!" I blinked a few times to see if I could see, but of course, it failed. The world is spinning around me. My eyes feel heavy. I guess this is it... I couldn't do anything about it so I closed my eyes...
Game over, I guess... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

█🕹️👾🎮Chapter 4: Stalked░▒▓█
March 29th, 2036, Saturday morning, 5:15 a.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Five minutes later.
Winter and I stopped when we heard some kind of voice... or voices, really.
My whole body froze. I thought I was hearing things but it seems like Winter can hear them too...
"What was that..? It sounds like there are six different voices..." I couldn't work out what they were saying...
I'm trying to remain calm. We can just pretend it's nothing... Despite that, my dog wasn't able to do that. He did the 'security mode' thing for the third time now, only this time growling. Luckily, I managed to quiet him down before anyone could hear him...
Soon I notice that Winter starts to freak out all of a sudden... Still remaining 'calm' I want to reassure him that everything is ok...
"It's ok. There's no one there. Relax," I gently told him, kneeling down to his height and pat his fluffy head. Thankfully, it worked but he still acted protectively around me. I don't mind at all since I felt unsettled in the first place, it's just we don't have time for coming across trouble. I got up and got back on my skateboard. "L-Let's just keep mov-,"
CRANK! CRUSH! WAAHH!!
That scared the living crap out of me!
Winter's fur puffed up like it was caused by a blow-dryer and froze in place.
I fell off my skateboard which caused me to land on my back on the rough concrete while the skateboard rolled away.
I was so frightened that I got up and ran.
"WINTER RUN!" I yelled in terror and grabbed my board with Winter trailing behind me. That was when I heard clanking sounds like footsteps... not just one, but multiple footsteps in our vicinity! I feel my heart pounding faster in a race. My blood rushes from weak to high, high to weak as anxiety kicks in. I looked around to find somewhere to hide. That's when I spotted a very dark alleyway. "Winter! This way!" I dared to run in there.
I was expecting a way out on the other side... Turns out to be a dead end, great.
Taking a couple of deep breaths during a panic attack thinking I'LL BE KIDNAPPED OR WORSE!! We stood there, staring at the dead-end... It's really dark, messy and smelly, with an awful smell that nearly made me vomit. The clanking sound grew louder and louder.
"There is no way we can escape! These people are fast!" I grabbed Winter's leash and led him down in front of the dumpster (if the mysterious group saw us enter here they probably wouldn't see us behind the dumpster... I hope).
In order to feel secure, I kneel down to hold my pet closely. I hold him like it's my comfort plushie so he doesn't flip off and attack them. That would be risky. Especially if it's a group.
"Stay very quiet... please. For the love of gosh..." I whispered to him just as we heard walking slow down RIGHT where we were.
"OH, GOD! PLEASE DON'T FIND US! PLEASE DON'T FIND US! PLEASE DON'T FIND US!!!!"
"Are you sure she went that way?" An old male voice was heard... He sounds... robotic... and pretty wise.
"Formative, I saw her D-O-G go in there. Meaning she went in there as well!" Another male voice that sounds not too high but more in the middle pitch, and also sounds robotic too.
Pretty goofy.
"If she is in there then someone has to go in and check," another male voice was heard, a deeper voice this time, but not as deep as Corpse Husband's, and robotic as well... Maybe the group didn't want their real voice recognised? Even though it sounds strongly familiar... "Scrap Metal, go check to see if she is in there,"
"AHAHAHA! WiTh PlEaSUrE! Hehehe!" Another male spoke up.
He sounds pretty insane judging by the laugh.
A bit weird that his voice is broken...
"Ha, ha, Scrap Metal? What kind of parents name their child-" Snapped in reality, I instantly recognised that name anywhere-!
CRAP!
HE'S COMING!
The sound of his metal footsteps echoed throughout the alleyway of darkness.
I freak out since I know damn well who I'M dealing with!
My silent breathing started to shake as if I was cold until it became heavy. Quickly, I covered my mouth. I can't let him hear me!
Clunk... clunk... clunk...
"Hehehe, AiRiS, wHeRe ArE yOu~..?"
"THEY KNOW MY NAME TOO!?!? HOW MANY CHARACTERS ARE THERE!? What Crowby is saying... He's telling the truth! THIS IS ALL REAL?!? NO FRICKING WAY!" Millions of questions ran through my head out of madness. "I think I really am losing it!" The voices I heard, the footsteps, the conversations- They are a group that works for Artron.
They are called 'The Slayer'.
The six members were a twisted group when I first saw them in 'War of Time.'
The first one that spoke is Sark. He's the original leader of the group but retired from leading because of his age... I think he's 167... Anyway, even though he retired, that doesn't mean he left. He stayed to help out his son (who will be mentioned shortly) with leadership until he 'dies'. He was also a tricky boss fighter to beat.
Moving on to the second voice, Drillbit... he's the... dumb one in the group... that's all I'm gonna say, other than he's... What's the word that doesn't sound too hurtful..? Chubby.
Next is Sark's son I mentioned, Slaytrap. The leader of the group is a bit emotionless with thoughts of blood and slaughter in his head: quote on quote 'destroying bots'. He has a hot temper (easily crackable). Fair warning: Never mess with the leader.
Of course, you heard Scrap Metal was mentioned. Unlike Crowby, Scrap is a bit of a punk-crazy bully type (but not as creepy as Crowby). He doesn't always follow Slaytrap's orders, which is how he gets into trouble. If you mess with him too much, he will go on a legit, maniacal rampage- no joke, that guy is very much insane. Oh, and his voice box is a bit damaged after the first boss fight with him.
The other two that haven't been mentioned (since they didn't say anything) are Cybel and Ugiz-zo. Twins but not identical.
Cybel is the only female in the group. She isn't just pretty, but she is also a drama queen, and her brother Ugiz-zo is... Well, kinda depressed or just emotionless... At least the creators do not depict him as an emo! Even though he's a very sorrowful robot with deep dark side thoughts...
Back to what's happening now.
I didn't dare to look because I knew Scrap would spot me instantly if I do...
As I looked to the side- I swear to God, I became a statue- SCRAP'S HEAD POKE OUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF US BUT SOMEHOW DIDN'T SEE US!!! OH MY FRICKING GOD I'M MENTALLY DYING ON THE INSIDE RIGHT NOW!! It frightens the living crap out of me! I'm scared that he's gonna turn his head and spot us! As I close my hazel eyes, I tighten my grip on my dog.
I waited for something to happen...
BANG!
Scarp banged the dumpster.
I was vehemently close to screaming.
"UGH! ShE's NoT hErE!" Scrap shouts frustratingly as he heads back to his group...
It doesn't end there, yet.
"WHAT!?" The rest of the group shouted.
I listen very carefully to what 'The Slayers' are talking about.
"I cHeCkEd. ShE's NoT tHeRe. I tHiNk DrIlLbIt'S vIsIoN aRe NoT wOrKiNg AgAiG,"
"Uh? Are you sure it's not the other way round?"
"No! I saw them go in there!" Drillbit rejected.
"You only said you saw the mutt in there, clearly it would only be the mutt," Cybel said, sounding pretty unconvinced by Drill.
"ThE dOg IsN't In ThErE eItHeR, tHaT's WhY I sAiD hIs ViSiOnS aRe NoT wOrKiNg,"
"Splendid job, Drillbit,"- Cybel said once again, in a harsh sarcastic tone this time- "We lost her!"
"What is the point of this human anyway?" Ugiz asked miserably. "Can't we just take over the whole human world instead of getting the girl? It seems so pointless,"
"We already talked about this, Ugiz-zo. We need her to stop the Cosmic Five from ruining our plans," Slaytrap snapped. "I do not wish to hear your 'forgetfulness' because of your pathetic doubts!" He's getting pretty irate but more vexed.
"Take it easy Slaytrap, you know that's how he is," Sark told him calmly.
There was a moment of silence for about a few seconds.
"You're right, father. We'll have to continue our search,"
"And figure out where this 'Church' is located,"
"... How the hell did- Shit! The Troyquake family will be in danger too!"
"Let's go," I heard them leaving where we were.
I knew they were gone.
Letting out a massive sigh of relief, my heart and blood pressure are pumping back to normal speed along with my breathing. I might be pale as snow thanks to Scrap Metal. Unwrapping my dog, I smiled happily that he didn't make a sound or start attacking 'The Slayers'. I am so proud of him.
"Good boy, Win! Now let's go! Before they figure out where it is," I told him.
We stood up, I laid my sunset skateboard on the ground, then held the hoop of Winter's leash and Winter started pulling me thereafter I got on the board.
***
Here we are.
We stopped at the front gate of the Church.
I got off my board just to hold on to it.
The entrance has a steep hill. Since I didn't want to risk falling and getting injured we walked down the hill instead.
I glance up at the building and the surrounding area.
The building looks nothing like an ordinary church, with its amazing, colourful glass windows showing Jesus, angels, or anything that is associated with Christianity. It looked more like a regular building where someone put a huge cross on it and just claimed it was a Church.
Winter and I walked past the car park up until we got to the front door of the Church, under shelter. I looked around to see if Oscar or anyone else was around...
... No sign of him or his family...
"I thought they would be here by now... I hope they're not kidnapped since the villain characters NOW EXIST!!"
Bark, bark!
Winter's bark snapped my thoughts away.
I looked over at my husky who was jumping up and down excitedly, causing me to glance over in the direction that Winter was barking.
That was when I heard the sound of a skateboard coming...
I smiled, knowing who it is.
It appeared to be a blonde-haired boy with light blue eyes, wearing a white shirt, a brown camping jacket, blue shorts and his camping bag on his back.
Upon noticing a few things, three to be exact, my smile soon faded.
His family are not with him, he's not wearing a helmet and he has a cricket bat with him. Why?
"Aren't you happy to see me, Iris?" He chuckled jokingly and stopped right in front of me and Winter.
Woof!
"Hello to you too Winter," Oscar smiled as he rubbed my pet's head.
"I am... But why aren't you wearing your helmet? And why did you bring a cricket bat? We're not here to play cricket, you know?" I asked him sternly with a hint of confusion in my tone too.
Oscar stopped patting my dog and smirked sneakily.
"I wasn't bothered to bring my helmet,"
"Oscar..." I frowned at him and rigidly crossed my arms.
"Chill. I know I'll be fine. I haven't fallen off a skateboard in a long time,"
"... Alright, just to warn you right now. You'll fall at any time,"
"Are you jinxing me?" He asked jokingly which caused me to giggle a bit.
"No, I'm just letting you know. I'll be right,"- I rolled my eyes- "And the cricket bat?"
"Admittedly, I brought it so we could play- BUT! I also brought it to use as a weapon," Oscar proudly told me.
"He's probably not gonna survive when he meets 'The Slayers'... If he finds out... Please don't turn that into a jinx, universe,"
"If you say so,"- I shrugged- "Where are the rest of your family?" Silence took over.
Oscar didn't say a word. He suddenly lost his chill.
He held both of my shoulders and shook me a bit.
"He took them all! He took everyone!" I looked at him very strangely due to the sudden action, making my stomach twist because I understood why.
"Who is he?" I asked, afraid that he had already met Artron already.
"GOD!"
"Wha-" Never mind.
"HE TOOK EVERY GOOD PEOPLE THAT BELIEVES IN HIM AND CHILDREN UP TO HEAVEN LEAVING BAD PEOPLE THAT DO NOT BELIEVE IN HIM-!"
"Whoa! Whoa! WHOA! Calm down your farm! What on Earth are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about God taking everyone-!"
"No! I didn't mean that! I know what you're saying! I mean why do you think that?"
"Because yesterday I was at my nana's place. We watched a movie that was related to Christianity. The movie is called 'Left Behind' and I may have gotten scared of it since..." He started explaining what the movie was about. "Basically, it's about a dad and a daughter (probably around twenty-ish), and they're both not Christians, and there's also a mother who is Christian and a son who's about nine or ten, or probably younger than that. One unexpected day, all the good people and children disappeared. The reason for it was something to do with 'one day God will take them home'. The dad works as a pilot and noticed some people disappear in the plane due to the massive panic going on. His goal was to fly the passengers back to America for safety (he also had to avoid a great big storm too) with the help of his daughter. That's all I'm gonna say..." I stared at him dumbfoundedly, yet, I'm more upset with his nana since I am fully aware of what she was intending to try to do.
If he hadn't told me about her, I wouldn't know at all.
His nana might have regretted it afterwards.
"... Dude... Did you actually believe all of that?"
"... Well..."
"I know your nana is Christian and all, and I have total respect for people's religions. I didn't expect you guys to watch something that scared the living crap out of you,"
"My nana likes watching anything that involves Christianity..."
"Dude, I legit showed you a photo of a foot-print,"
"And?"
"And that person is still here, also, if you think about it, we're thirteen years old. God would have taken us as well, technically," Oscar's worries were replaced with realisation.
"... Oh... You're right... The photo of the footprint in your garden is obviously from a malicious person, however that last part... That's... a fair point..."
"Let me guess, you freaked out when you found out that your family is missing which made you believe that everything you watched yesterday with your nana is real, is that what happened?"
"... Yeah... Gosh, I'm such an idiot," he grew embarrassed as I (a wonderful friend) patted his shoulder to comfort him.
"It's ok, and you're not an idiot, you were just scared. I guess we'll have to stick together and wait until morning so we can ask someone for help,"
"Agree, but we're not just gonna sit outside of the Church early in the morning, right?"
"Obviously not, that's why we're going to my place," I smiled and playfully punched his arm, earning a chuckle from my friend.
"Good idea. Your neighbours could have been deep sleepers so maybe that's why they didn't wake up and didn't answer the door,"
"Maybe..." Thinking back about my neighbours and the whole 'The Slayers' group, and the other characters I met... I'm unsure if I should tell him about it... I mean... My brain has been fighting over whether what I saw was a dream/imagination or it's not, and it's driving me bonkers on whether it's real or not.
I felt even more anxious if I kept thinking, like, what if I really am starting to see things and someone else couldn't? That's the thing, I'm beginning to worry that Oscar doesn't believe me and thinks I'm highly peculiar.
That's why I'm deciding to keep it from him. From now on.
"Hey... Are you ok?"
"Huh?"
"You were looking worried and zoning out there,"
"Oh... uh... I'm fine," I told him, trying to 'fine' as possible even though Oscar seems like he knows something is up.
"Alright... if you say so..." Thank God he shrugged it off! Probably not completely, he would know that something is off and will eventually get me to spill if it's necessary. "Let's get going then," Oscar turned his skateboard around and skated off.
Placing my skateboard down, allowing my dog to pull me while riding the board. I can catch up with him so we can head back to my house. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

█🕹️👾🎮Chapter 11: Waiting (Part 1/2)░▒▓█
March 29th, 2036, Saturday, 9:50 a.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Uh... Grezzer, I think you can put me down now," I told him since we had arrived back at the hideout, the outside of it, one of the entrances of the private school.
Grezzer carried me because I don't have any particular ability to escape easily, as you can tell from chapter three to seven. I stared at him to the point that it was getting awkward. Even though I already knew he didn't understand what I was saying at first, judging by his confused expression. The moment his mind clicked he got timorous and put me down immediately but also carefully.
His height, weight, and well-built structure (similar to Drillbit) so that explains why he was nervous, he didn't want to erroneously injure me by accident. Trust me, I don't need to figure that out when he can easily express it. The only problem with him having an incredibly strong ability is that he could accidentally break things so he is also known to be a 'big clumsy fella'.
Like most WoT characters, his characteristics are set on the stereotypical side of things that many people complain about. How did it start? I guess it happened when a couple of players started paying close attention to the characters when they played WoT for a while. Consequently, it ended up becoming a problematic debate when it was discussed on social media... Specifically Twitter and Tiktok, the two most popular social media platforms that a lot of people despised in 2036 due to the most unreasonable, sensitive and idiotic people.
I never liked Twitter but because I'm a bit popular on social media for gaming, I have to have one so no fakers out there are trying to falsely claim that they are 'me'. TikTok, on the other hand, I only like it for the sake of watching my interest in my favourite fandoms and sometimes important news. It's just that the other side of Tiktok had the stupidest, most dangerous or most offensive videos which I strongly dislike.
On the other side of the debate, some people say it's not as stereotypical as you may think.
For me, I find the sheer number of problematic arguments overwhelming and annoying. Having to hear the same debates over and over again, and of course, I hate picking sides... Well, it depends on what the topic is. Whether or not it is stereotypical, I would say as long as it is not presented in a way that would upset anyone, including me. Then again, it also made me play less of the game than usual...
Now that I am fully aware of the existence of WoT characters... and it is highly possible that there are also other video game characters from different worlds (whatever video game that may be) that are real... Should you be upset about the character's characteristics now? You know, they have feelings just like us humans.
Or blame the developers? Many people who had issues with 'characters being stereotypical' do hate the developers of 'War of Time', even though they were really kind people.
"Oh! Apologies! I forgot that I was still carrying you, ah-heheh..!" He made me giggle a bit.
"It's fine," suddenly, the God-forsaking anxiety catches up to me.
A negative thought popped up in my mind.
"What if we're too late..." I was saved in an instant and felt a hand placed on my shoulder, it was like something punched anxiety with no hesitation.
"Airis, everything will be alright. I'm sure he made it," surprisingly, I looked up to see it was Obus.
He was calm and genuine. He must have figured out that I was starting to get anxious again, which is a good thing to spot straight off the bat, for a futuristic robot. To be truthful, I still couldn't help but feel guilty for not doing anything to prevent Oscar from getting poisoned... But at the same time, it's not healthy to be thinking such things.
"Thanks, I guess I need to hear that..." Obus smiled softly for- Wait, BRUH! That's the first time I've ever seen him smile, a genuine smile!-
Ahem, sorry.
"Good. We must not stand around, let's go," he then went back to normal and demanded as if he was the 'leader' as he usually does, even though he was second in command.
Not smiling anymore...
Aw man, I liked the soft side of him... Oh well, I should have known that he's a coward for showing that to anyone else anyway. Not to mention that he is kinda a complicated character.
Me and Grezzer rolled our eyes behind his back.
The next thing I knew, the red and gold bot was now behind me, out of nowhere, and pushed me gently but still a tiny bit harshly to the door of the school building.
"Rude. Where are your manners? You usually have that," after entering the building, we walked down the long empty hallways, passed the office, a bunch of classrooms and the school library.
I'll admit something about the school. When we first arrived while the sun was still rising, the sunlighting made the areas look so beautiful and glistering. It almost looks like it took place during a sunset, of course, it didn't. I missed it since it's now completely daytime.
We return to the cafeteria so the others will know that we were back, which worked. Our attention was drawn to the group as their heads were facing towards us, who must have heard our footsteps or the door.
Mechtra, Kitt and, surprised to find Jet Greez is with them.
"You're back!" Kitt cheered, super happy to see me and the others back here, safe and sound.
He got off the silver cafeteria bench from the rest of the group (I did notice that they were playing a card game... I couldn't tell what... Maybe that's why Jet Greez is with them) and ran over to me to embrace me. Because I didn't see it coming, I was startled by the unknown. It's still pleasant to receive a hug. Honestly, I needed that. The huge smile on the young yellow bot's face... I'm screaming on the inside at how adorable he is when he looks up at me! Still hugging my waist, his smile was bright and innocent. I didn't hesitate to hug him back after a few seconds of gathering my thoughts about what just happened... He also in some ways reminds me of... my sister... Ava...
As he released me, I faced the others.
"Are Winter and Techblast back?" I asked with hope at the same time as a little worried of the answer no.
"Yes, they arrived back with the-"
"HEY!!" Right away, I bolted past Grezzer and Obus who were startled by my sudden action so I could head over to sickbay.
~~~
Back when Airis, Winter, Obus, Grezzer and I were at the Health Space. I recall telling Airis to stay where she would be safe and keeping an eye out in case any 'unexpected visitor' joins the party... Now that I think about it, I don't see how there was a way to let us know other than telling us in person- eh? Bot??... Sometimes I am not the smartest at thinking things through. It happens, no big deal... Still would have been more ideal if she and Oscar were given communicators.
I trust Kitt that he has already thought ahead about it...
I'm not upset at the strong-willed girl, I already understood why she entered the building. She was after her furry friend, Winter... That creature has a severe aversion to Scrap Metal. I wonder why..? If it were because 'The Slayers' attempted the kidnapping, I could personally understand.
I couldn't get to Airis at the time because I was dealing with Crowby, and it knows that she's here too because of Winter- scratch that- everyone knows. I had to prevent him from capturing her. I know him full well that it wants to get things done and over with, for the golden tokens, that's all it matters to him. He takes the job of assistant for 5000,000 golden tokens (it's a normal money cost for us) even though it could depend on the hunter.
That greedy brute.
Obus and Grezzer couldn't do anything to save her either, because of Scrap and Drillbit.
That doesn't finish there.
By shock, I observe Airis managing to get the cure from Ugiz-zo... Actually... Ugiz-zo is known to waste time so he does get distracted oftentimes. I suppose I was impressed too... Despite her creature leading her into danger yet she still managed to retrieve the cure... Could Artron be right about the player's abilities? Humans don't have powers unless- no, that wouldn't be possible. There's no way it would affect humans or Real Earth... Which is something that shouldn't be affected... At the end of the day, I knew she was planning to give the black bottle necklace to Winter, the moment she called his name.
This would enable him to return to base. Smart. However, I don't believe he will make it on time. Therefore, I successfully defeated Crowby by blasting him to the counter as it crashed into the shelves past the counter.
CRASH!!
I then let my two members know I was heading out and told them to make sure that Airis doesn't get kidnapped before I speeded off to catch up with Winter.
I dashed after him.
Winter was just running past the Melbourne Cup Race Track. Once I caught up with him, I grabbed him from behind.
ARWO!?
"It's ok, it's only me," my tone was serene so I can reassure him in case he starts attacking me out of terror.
I am grateful that 'The Creators' granted me the power of speed so I could make it on time... If I wasn't there Oscar would be dead for sure, 100% guaranteed... Saying that would also mean that we'd be dealing with a very depressed human girl...
I can't allow that. I promised her that he would live, and he will!
I dashed to the sick bay once we entered the Private School.
BANG!
"We have the cure!" I announced, holding Winter up after we entered the once-quiet doctor's healing room.
"Thank the Star Souls!" Qute quickly floated up to us and took the black bottle necklace off of the black and white creature's neck. "I have to hurry and heal him! He doesn't have much time left!"
"Why isn't Kitt here?" I asked since he is also a medic.
"Kitt is with Mechtra and yo- Jet Greez! But don't worry, I am only intended to inject him with the cure so I don't see why there's a need for him here. It is not anything big,"
"Oh, that does make sense," I placed down Winter and walked over to a white standing sitter that was next to the lower part of what humans call a 'bed' that the boy was lying on... I wonder why they don't have tubes like what we have? Real Earth is a strange and unique universe at the same time.
Sitting on the standing sitter with nerve and hope, I was praying to myself to the Star Soul that he is healed, through my mind. During that time, Winter sat next to me. He must have felt worried about his friend too. Furthermore, I hope that Airis is safe, making me nervous. However, I trust that she is not kidnapped... Oh, stars... Was it even wise of me to leave everyone behind?
I looked over at him who was watching Qute zoom around to get the needle ready... Hm... He seemed calm...
... I had never seen a real animal in my home universe before. Heh, what a silly thing to say! Due to extinction, bots have never seen a real animal before... only robotic ones. Since we were made as video game characters, my home used to be 'Earth' until the robots took over and the human race was wiped out. A virus happened and us bots failed to save humanity and real creatures, unfortunately...
Alarming, I know.
But it's just a video game. A VIDEO GAME-
Welcome to my year, 7080. Seirilia is what we call our planet now. 'Earth' was changed because it was more of a 'human's' home planet...
A little off course.
Ever since I met Winter, I have been compelled to pet him. It's funny because I love friendly creatures but I've always been reluctant to touch any creature... but his fur is like... clouds! Maybe... just maybe I can.
My robotic hand slowly reached for the top of Winter's head.
Just as I was about to touch him up until he glanced up at me, just in time for me to move my hand away from him. Pretending I wasn't doing anything, his blue eyes stared into mine in slight confusion until he focused back on watching Qute...
Relieved, I let out a sigh.
"Oh, well..." I mumbled.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, TECH!? YOU KNOW TO NEVER TOUCH CREATURES! THEY'LL BITE YOU! JUST LIKE LAST TIME!" NO! Don't think of such things! Forget it! Creatures are friends, I tell you! I tried to focus on Qute injecting the cure into the blonde boy's weak left arm.
"There, all done..." The diminutive floating bot said until she turned to us... More like the attention is on me. "Uh, Captain? Are you ok? You're not getting-"
"Huh? Oh, y-yes! I'm quite alright, Qute," I replied a bit confidently along with a sharp smile, trying to hide my anxieties.
Mentally, I cursed myself for the stutter while Qute seemed like she already knew what was up. Crap.
"Are you su-"
"Yes! I'm fine..."- then I abruptly changed the subject- "Is Oscar going to be ok? Is he going to live?" I asked with hope.
The smallest bot didn’t answer right away, she seemed like she was having a moment of thought about me. I gave her a look to say that I am ok and within a minute she moved on.
"... Indeed he is. I just scanned him after injecting the cure into his bloodstream. All he needs is a long rest,"
"Oh, thank-"
BANG!
"DID HE MAKE IT?" Startled almost to near death, we immediately turned our attention to find out it was Airis.
What perfect timing.
Winter jumped up and barked, gleeful to see her again.
I was also delighted to see that she had arrived safely as well.
My face was filled with joy.
"Yes! He made it!" I answered.
The answer made Airis feel relieved and at peace that her friend got cured on time.
We watched her walk over to him, kneel down and hold his (at the moment) hand.
"I'm happy you're ok..." She whispered to him a tad loudly until she started to tear up again which caught me and Qute off guard.
"A-Airis! Why are you crying!?" Qute exclaimed.
She then got a nearby tissue to give to the crying girl while I walked over and kneeled beside her.
Airis took a piece of tissue to use to whip off any watery tears before blowing her nose.
I placed my hand on her shoulder and rubbed it to comfort her. I don't understand why she's upset again.
"I-I-I'm not upset! I-I'm happy!" Oh? You can be happy and sad at the same time? "W-When will Oscar wake up?" She asked with a sniff.
Good thing it was only a moment of tears. The girl is getting better quickly. I suppose she wasn't crying as intensely as last time.
"He'll be awake in about three or four hours,"
"... Do you want me to leave..?"
"Well... you don't have to, although, if I were you, I would leave him be to rest,"
"I guess I need to relax anyway,"
"Alright, let's go," I announced as Airis stood up.
I stood up after her.
"I guess Winter is staying here," I muttered as soon as I glanced over at the glorious creature.
In the midst of what had happened today, he fell asleep next to the white 'bed' and, of course, he was exhausted. A giggle slipped out of me at the sight of him, he's adorable.- Ahem. I lead Airis to the exit so Qute can do her own thing at the same time as keeping an eye on them both. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
