So I posted about this the other day, but I wanted to remind folks that tomorrow, December 7th 2024, I'm going to be at UWEC GEEKcon at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 10am-4pm.

It's a little one day con, and it's super fun. I haven't been there since 2019, and as I'm trying to get back into doing cons it seemed like a good one to add to the schedule.

Importantly, I'm going to have copies of Shadowcasting on hand, so this is your chance to get the book a week early. It's free if you're a student and $3 if you're not -- so if you're in Eau Claire, WI this weekend it'll be a fun Saturday.

Poland nation, how we feelin? 💀 I got better after a week but got my parents sick, this is horrible. And they were already going through some stuff lately, all of that just SUCKS ASS!! We're healing but I'm just worried about them. They're my parents, after all. We're throwing a little BBQ party tomorrow, it's gonna be grand!! <3

Hesper gets to be a normal child; chores, hobbies, active time spent with his dad. He's doing well in school as well; now that he gets to attend it again. Lately, he started collecting metals and crystals and stuff around the neighbourhood. At first it wasn't serious but then Erwin sent some of doubled goods to the Geo Council to have them broken down into elements. Hesper loved the idea!! He got so fixated on his new pastime, soon he got a whole bunch of new additions to his collection!! Only one more to go. Erwin's so proud.

Juno also actively spends more time with Erwin. Little geek that he is, he really wanted to attend Geek Con. How could Juno say no to that face? Especially after everything they had gone through, seperately and together. Erwin got to play newest games and buy cool merch, Juno got a few more intimate moments with him. At the end of the day, a supper in love-themed restaurant was in order. The day passed and their time at the festival was splendid. With stomachs full of magnificent food and minds full of astonishing experiences, it was time to pay and go home.

However, when the bill was paid and they were slowly leaving, Erwin started feeling a bit off. Was it the food? The overstimulation? No, he knows that feeling, this couldn't be it. A few moments more and it started. The infection. Erwin became a victim of the Mother Plant and they don't even know when it happened!! She truly despises losing. Well, Juno is pissed now too. Time to weed out the bitch. After coming back to Strangerville and curing Erwin, plans were made on how to root out this problem. Oh, they have plans, alright...

Ahriman: This is supposed to be tea?

Rory: Yup.

Ahriman: But all these options sound awfully sweet.

Rory: It's bubble tea. It's supposed to be sweet.

Ahriman: Bubble…

Lou: Tapioca balls, not actual bubbles.

Lou: At least give it a try.

Ahriman: Okay, fine, I'll try it.

Ahriman: But I will hate you two if I hate the tea.

Ahriman: I'm supposed to drink tea through a straw?

Lou: Weren't you talking about table manners earlier?

Ahriman: How is using a straw for tea good table manners? Sometimes this universe doesn't make any sense.

Rory: This time it's Lou, not the universe.

Ahriman: Hm. Odd taste.

Lou: I'm exhausted.

Rory: Maybe it's time to go home. Are you coming with us?

Ahriman: Spellcasters don't need much sleep, and there's a whole day left of this event, so I'll stay for a bit, since I'm already here.

Ahriman: Ooh, they have real tea here.

Ahriman: Hi, I'd like a cup of ginseng tea, please.

Ahriman: Odd cup, but okay then.

Ahriman: At least it tastes like tea.

Just as a small reminder to myself, every child from generation two needs to be conceived in a rocketship.

March and Jensen didn't want to take a honeymoon, so February decided to take April, her sister, and her sister's youngest two kids on a vacation to Mount Komorebi. Her birthday was in a few days and what better way to celebrate and give the newlyweds some time alone. Especially since they are already expecting a baby!

The kids had a great time enjoying all the snow activities available. March was able to work on her rock climbing and hit her second big goal, which was the first part of the big mountain climb. Everything was perfect!

But then Felice died of old age. Obviously that ended the trip. February helped the kids get settled at their brothers's house, as Miki had predeseaced Felice. Then she headed home to plan her second funeral in a week.

Felice's celebration of life was sad and sweet and a little joyful.

March was so sad that she had a really hard time being normal for a pregnancy photo. Jensen tried though.

February really just needed someone to hold her and let her cry, thank goodness Casandra's ghost was there for her.

The next day was GeekCon, and February went with the explicit plan to join the 50 mile high club. She met a nice young cosplayer who was more than happy to help her meet her goal.

Lilith Vatore called Vulcan out of nowhere to announce that she had adopted a child and wanted him to come over to celebrate. So of course, he teamed up with the new vampire mom and immediately took the newly adopted child, named Azure Vatore to Geekcon. She got pictures with cosplayers. Bought souvenirs and Vulcan got her some bubbles as a gift.

Конечно же, мы с Юки не могли пропустить такое глобальное событие, как фестиваль «УмниКон»! Когда еще выпадет возможность вживую пообщаться и обменяться опытом с такими светилами айти-индустрии, как Дирк Дример?

Поучаствовали в турнире «Лучший игрок».

Полученный приз, мягко скажем, разочаровал.

В состязании хакеров Юки и вовсе не заняла никакого призового места, но зато сфотографировалась с Дартом Вейдером.

I've got exactly 86 screenshots in my folder, ready to upload whenever. I played sooo much Sims 4 in these last few days. I mean, a "May break" in Poland let me have almost a full week off work. Also, Tuesday-Thursday I'm off to another preschool to overlook national exams of 8th graders. You can feel every day how fast we're getting to the end of this school year!! The headmistress is prancing around with a stinky attitude towards everyone. Pray for me!! ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ

More winter activities with the Owl family!! Hieronim really took a liking of Mirage, inviting him to every single Geekcon he attends. The latter doesn't mind since it gives him plenty of opportunities to work on his tech skills like programming and rocket science. It's both funny and sad how Mirage sometimes sees Hieronim more often that the man's own brother. Good thing Baltazar uses most social holidays to visit his family in Henford-on-Bagley like Winterfest.

Speaking of Winterfest, happy holidays from the Owls!! It's a first for the children so we had to prepare a lot. This time they were joined by Ramon who practically invited himself. I think he's the only parent who actively looks for contact with their child; Katy calls sometimes and Pink ditched completely (blaming alien nature for that). Ramon loved exchanging gifts near the Christmas tree with the family and focusing his attention on Izar's wellbeing. Of course, Ramon's still furious with Bal and plans on keeping his distance as much as he can!! At least for now, when he tries not to remember how spoiled Bal made him feel... ( ͡º ꒳ ͡º)
