All you need to know about soaps and their types

 What is the first thing that comes to mind when the word “soap” comes around? The most common response would be a soap that is regularly used while bathing. One of the most usual utilities in the personal care section is soap. Coming in different forms for different uses out of the body, soaps are an important part of regular life.

 Different body parts have different types of skin or tissues and are therefore to be treated with different compositions of soaps. For instance, the facial skin and muscles are sensitive and cannot be treated with harsh soaps as they are very prone to rashes. The complexities do not just end here as many different skin types differ from person to person and therefore different skin types demand different types of utilities that suit perfectly. Handmade soaps available in the market come in various forms and with different combinations to treat each skin type.

 What are soaps?

 Fatty acid salts make up soaps. They can be used to clean practically any surface and are not just cleaning products for personal hygiene. This is significant to know because the surfaces that soaps are used to clean determine their classification.

 A bar of soap is a need in every home. One of the most crucial components of personal hygiene is the lathering agent. While most people think of normal bath soaps that we use for bathing when they hear the word "soap," there are other uses for the substance as well.

 Types of soaps

 Now that the meaning and the importance of soaps in everyday life are made clear, let us know more about the types of soaps:

Bathing Soaps: Bathing soaps, as the name suggests, are   present in every household and are used to serve the purpose of removing  oil and dirt from the body.

Natural soaps:  Natural soaps are created by combining lye with  oils, fats, and butters. For a soap to meet the definition of natural   soap, it must also be colored naturally. Saponification is the procedure  used to create soap.

Laundry Soaps: There are three different types of  laundry soaps: liquid, powder, and gel. When soaps were first created, natural materials like goat fat and wood ash were used. But when natural substances became more in demand and more difficult to find, synthetic materials started to be used more frequently.

 These are the most common types of soaps which are crucial to be found in almost every household and play their part.

oh yeah we do actually have to wait and see if we're allergic to the new soap though because we're allergic to most soap and there's always a chance it'll completely fuck us up which wouldn't be ideal but I guess we'll find out soon

Made some soap! Inspired by my recent trip to San Sebastian/Donostia. The name of the soap is "Monte Urgull", like the mountain to one side of the beaches of Donostia. The beaches are called The Seashell (La Concha) and there's a really cool old military base with canons and all that on top of that lovely green mountain. :)

The scent is fruity, orange-y and light, but ankered with pine notes.

The shells are melt'n'pour soap made with my homemade silicon mould of sea shells :)
