Once again, a year of BSD and surprisingly Pokemon fics. PLA grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let me have any peace. -points- Like look at dlss. it went beyond -double- for both it’s chapter and word count.

BSD fic count is up to 87 and it’s going to outpace KHR at this rate haha. This is only the second year of my BSD obsession and I already am halfway to my KHR count (which is an obsession that lasted close to 7 years)

Takeshi blinked, seeing the small tanto she carried and oh? A potential for Rain Flames there. Hey! Maybe he should introduce her to Squalo. Another Rain swordsman would be welcomed!

"Hello!" Takeshi greeted her. "I'm Yamamoto Takeshi. I see you like swords."

A flash of wariness and bloodlust radiated off the girl.

Oh that was interesting! Was she also a natural hitman too?

"Port Mafia?" Takeshi guessed. Who else would it be in Yokohama?

Her eyes narrowed.

Takeshi took that as a yes.

"I'll buy you something sweet?" Takeshi said, pointing at the nearby crepe shop.

Her eyes widened in surprise before she frowned again. "Who are you really?" she asked.

This was getting ridiculous.

Dazai was a more than capable escape artist. How had he not managed to escape the Vongola Mansion? How did Chrome keep finding him?! He had even tried to leave under normal methods, just in case his Mist Flames weren’t up to par (which was ridiculous. He had mastered all the lessons she threw at him). And still, Chrome always caught him. He had been so close his last time too. He had actually made it out of Namimori’s city limits!

Chuuya was of no help.

In fact, he seemed fine just staying here even if it meant dealing with Vongola every single day. It was, and Dazai quote “I don’t know what you’re talking about. This is practically a vacation.”

Clearly Vongola had corrupted him.

Dazai would like to go home!

(Or at the very least, back to Atsushi.)

(He could not believe he had admitted that.)

Clearly Dazai needed to get out of here.

(Or Atsushi needed to come back.)

“Tch, no student of mine is going to fail at disarming a bomb!” Hayato crossed his arms, looking expectedly. “And no, using your ability doesn’t count either. What happens if you can’t use your ability or if you’re indoors where your ability is limited?”

“I know how to disarm a bomb! 10 seconds is impossible!” Chuuya said.

“Atsushi can do it,” Hayato said.

Chuuya stared at him before turning to look at Dazai. “Is that true?”

Dazai sighed. “Yes. That’s how Atsushi passed the Agency’s entrance exam. But why am I here? I’m technically not your student, Hayato-san.”

“Because your record for 30 seconds to disarm a bomb is offensive!”

“Fuck.”

“You look horrible, Dazai.”

Dazai stared. There was Ranpo, standing there, head tilted to the side. What on earth was Ranpo doing here, in Vongola’s mansion? Dazai ignored the small hopeful bloom in his chest that maybe Ranpo was here to demand that Dazai return back to Yokohama.

“Ah… why are you here, Ranpo-san?” Dazai asked, bewildered.

Ranpo sighed. “Apparently I’m Atsushi’s Lightning Guardian?”

Dazai blinked.

“It’s a surprise to me too,” Ranpo said. “Anyways, I was convinced to come here to learn how to use my Lightning Flames. So I’ll be here every other day.”

“Every other day?” Dazai said. Ranpo got to go back to Yokohama?!

“I have no idea what’s taking you so long, Dazai,” Ranpo said. “It’s not like our job went on pause. There are so many cases and you haven’t been in the office in over a week! I figured you would have been back in Yokohama already. Why are you still here?”

“They won’t let me leave?!” Dazai said. “I’ve been trying to sneak out every night!”

Ranpo gave him a skeptical look.

Hayato was still evaluating the rest of the Port Mafia members. Which ones could stay, which ones needed to be put down. He left the two Executives Ozaki Kouyou and Nakahara Chuuya alone at Dazai’s request.

There was no sense in upsetting Atsushi’s newest Element. It wasn’t a hard request to let them live. And they were behaving, accepting that Mori was gone and Port Mafia was officially under Vongola now.

Well, Kouyou glared at him for how he had handled her. Chuuya seemed to swing between wary and easy camaraderie that always sent him back into wary once he realized what he was doing.

It was amusing because Hayato could tell that Chuuya was a budding Storm Flame User. Being around Hayato had probably kickstarted his potential. That was why it was so easy to get along with him. Storms just brewed bigger storms together and that effortless destruction would either draw them together or set them at odds with each other.

On one hand, no one was going to learn about this because if they found out, Atsushi was going back to remedial training because no one should get a jump on him. If someone got a jump on him, he was dead (or kidnapped since he was “valuable” as Tsuna’s adoptive son.)

On the other hand, he felt he could be excused because something very strange was going on.

unsurprisingly, BSD obsession was going strong and damn I wrote a for that fandom. It’s only been a little over a year and i already passed 50 stories (and a total of 400k words back in october for the fandom so it’s probably way more than that now).

I... definitely wrote more than that (because there’s a lot of WIPs still in my google drive that despite my 31 days of updates, I didn’t get around to posting. Mostly cause I’m not willing to speed up the posting schedule or post it before it’s finished due to how fickle the plunny is. They’ll be counted next year since published to ao3 is the only real measurement I had, but oh.my.god where did I get the energy to write that much. I blew all the previous years out the water. wtf
