I did my best to try and find the rest of this interview, and I did find some information, but not the whole thing.

This interview was conducted by Lonn M. Friend, RIP Magazine's Editor In Chief, supposedly in August of 1991 when Crue was in England for Monsters of Rock. I found this out by sourcing the origin of the photo you posted, which was by this fan blog online. (While the name is correct due to cross referencing, I'm not entirely sure about the dates. It's an unreliable source.)

I tried to go through RIP Magazine's website to see if they have a historical catalog of their old releases like Creem or Rock Scene does, but all they have on their page is merch. You can find that here.

I'd likely have to locate a copy for sale on something like Ebay.

Which I did.

It's the February 1992 release featuring Skid Row, Nirvana, Metallica, Crue and more. You can see the title "Mick Mars: The Most Popular Unpopular Guy In Rock." on the index page, on the third row on the third page photographed in the listing.

Another Mick Interview??

Found this the other day, unfortunately i don’t have the rest of this interview (which i so desperately want!!), but take what i have as consolation!

just a couple of observations, i like how the interviewer was like “micks such a chill guy, so nonviolent and just cool,” and then it cuts to mick threatening to beat up a frisbee player. plus, micks hotel room being the cleanest out of all of theirs just makes sense to me. like that’s so on brand for him!

oh! and… stinky trousers?? what’s that supposed to mean?? (also peep mick once again trashing rehabs just like he did in the book. if i can guess what else he was going to say, after it cuts off ofc, he was probably gonna get a hit in at therapists as well! he’s so averse to the whole rehab and therapy thing.) finally, bonus points for mick casually over exaggerating how his body looked in the mid-eighties.

halfway through tonights episode i thought i'd finally figured out which route the odyssey even takes every week (LA to northwest mexico, based on them being in LA in 1x11, the castaway in 1x2 being from (southern) mexico, and a conversation in tonight's 1x16 that confirmed they stop in 'a foreign country' + the knowledge that the cruises are a week long) but then at the end they randomly showed max and avery in front of the san diego skyline even though just a few episodes prior guests were shown to board in LA. one thing about this show it's consistent in being inconsistent 😭

#keep in mind it was a greenscreen so they couldve easily just photoshopped them into la........... 😭😭😭 whatever #i think san diego makes marginally more sense bc apparently LA to mexico is very tight fit for less than 7 days #(i did perhaps research different cruises to make sense of this show.)#but also like it's literally doctor odyssey. so 'sense' is not exactly a high priority #also i did not recognise the SD skyline on sight lol i used google images reverse search with a screenshot bc i wanted to confirm it was LA #... i could not.#doctor odyssey #personal

how i find the source of art (and other things) to provide proper credits!

on (windows) desktop, i get the link of the image -> for ex, in tumblr:

then go to https://images.google.com/ and click that little square icon

so you can enter the url for the link without needing to download the image

drag the little selection thing on the image to pick the full thing otherwise it will only try to match the selected area

at the top result, it will have a link for see exact matches:

and fortunately for us, in this case, it takes us to the source right away. often times i will scroll through a bunch of pages of reposts, sometimes eventually tracking down the original source, and sometimes never finding it. but i feel like it's worth the time, especially with art

on mobile, i will download the image and use google lens from google photos, which is the same service - and a way to copy text from images easily, which is also extremely handy
