you were a mortal girl who had been taken in by the gods as a child. in return for this you lived amongst them working as a servant, since there were so many nymphs already there wasn't much for you to do but you always kept busy. one of the goddesses who had cared for you since childhood, aphrodite, had kept you close to her at all times rarely letting you go far from her gaze. you would help her with small tasks such as picking her jewelry for the day or helping her make new clothes, that was a more painful task. "i will never get this stitch done if you dont hold still!" the goddess complains trying to stick the needle through the fabric. "it hurts, you keep poking me" you complain trying to move away but she grabs your arm and holds you still. "i just need to make a few more stitches and-" she starts before getting cut off by the new presence in the room. "aphrodite may i speak with you" the commanding voice of hera calls from the entrance of the room. "why of course." she answers pinning the fabric together. "dont move my darling, you wouldn't want to ruin my flawless stitch work now would you?" she smirks before walking to hera, both far enough away for you to not hear what they were saying. one of hera's loyal crows had landed on a stool next to you cawing, you bent down and let it jump onto your finger petting its head. "hello pretty bird" you smile as it ruffles its feathers, nuzzling its head against your hand. "may i ask what you are doing?" hera's voice comes into the room. the bird flys from your hand onto her shoulder instead. "i-im sorry my goddess, i was simply petting your bird. they're lovely" you complement earning a nod. aphrodite comes back in and takes the fabric she had been sowing off of you. "oh dear you have so many scratches from the pins, you should see apollo he would be happy to heal them for you." she suggests hiding a smile behind you. you nod walking from her room. you were greeted by a few gods on your way to find apollo with smiles and waves, before you reached apollos temple you were stopped by the queen of the gods herself. "come with me mortal" she says waiting for you to follow. though your scratches stung you feared hera's reaction more if you disobeyed her "yes my goddess" you say following behind her. she leads you to her private room before sitting on a chair. "pour me some tea" she commands with a smirk, enjoying having you to herself. you hand her a cup of hot tea and stand near her "is there anything else you need my goddess?" you ask tilting your head. she thinks for a moment before using her powers to bring you to her lap, with a surprised gasp you are put on her lap like a child. she takes your arm that had scratches and small pin pricks from the sowing pins. "she really should be more careful with such a fragile thing such as you." the goddess mumbles. she grabs a piece of fabric from the table near her and wraps it around your arm. the two of you are interrupted by aphrodite clearing her throat from the entrance of the room. "i was worried that my little mortal had run away when apollo had not seen them yet. but i should've known they would be here, you always have liked to steal them away for yourself." aphrodite laughs with hints of jealousy. "then why dont you join us for some tea?" hera suggests. gesturing to a chair across from her. "well if you insist, only if i get a turn with our darling to" she smirks sitting down. this was your normal on olympus, being fought over by the gods. you had thought it was simply because they liked your company or help, if only you knew how much they truly loved you.

your usual day on olympus consists of at least 2 or more gods trying to steal your attention, whether its the hermes giving you flowers or other gifts he finds in the mortal realm or one of his brothers trying to one up him or if aphrodite demands a beauty day with her and artemis.

above all their fighting they still follow rules, giving an angry gglare or pouty face when another god that is more powerful steals you away. hera is famous for this, stealing you to help with the most minor tasks just so others cannot have you. only sharing with one of her friends or children.

when heron is brought to olympus things do shift. hera of course is horribly angry but doesn't start the war in this world because she knows that you would most likely end up hurt or she would be banished from olympus never to see you again. so instead she glares from afar.

you are not let anywhere near heron at first, being kept away by hera or ares. eventually though you manage to meet him and he was very kind to you, taking after the rest of his family and quickly becoming a yandere for you aswell.

of course he quickly is told that you are simply to be seen as a sibling not anything more. the gods dont want you dating because that may lead to them not getting as much of you or worse, you leaving them.

they refuse to let you grow old. once you turn a certain age they will turn you imortal whether you agree or not. youre theirs for eternity and no one or nothing will stop that.

Apollo x Human!Reader Headcanons

• Apollo’s first reaction towards you would be absolute awe. He’s enamoured by your presence despite only being a normal person and will do all in his power to have you be his, no matter what you say or feel about the situation.

• Apollo generally assumes that most humans are the same, although he’s well aware of their various desires and abilities he knows that they’re all pretty similar deep down. However, once seeing you he immediately feels as if you can’t be the same as everyone else, because if you were then he wouldn’t be so interested in you.

• Apollo sees you to be different mainly due to his first impressions of your beauty and how you carry yourself. He’d notice your kindness after this and would be drawn to your personality and behaviour towards others, hoping that you would dedicate yourself through these acts directly to him.

• Apollo would be desperate to keep you away from other gods and goddesses, especially as nothing good ever happens once multiple gods have set their eyes upon one being (also not saying that one god is a good thing either). He sets himself apart from all other deified beings and would never comprehend anything bad happening to you being the fault of his own and would blame another deity for getting involved for the blame of your misfortune no matter how guilty he actually is at the time.

• He’d be incredibly protective of you constantly and would always be watching over you whenever he can to ensure that he sees you safe. If anything does ever happen he’d spring into action filled with rage and would hide you away to try to prevent any further harm coming your way, even if it was only something minor.

• He would also be very obsessive over you, and unfortunately your answer of no towards his advances wouldn’t be listened to. There would be no escape for Apollo and his obsession would only die if he was forced or something very unfortunate happened to you; however, simply keeping you both apart wouldn’t settle his obsession towards you.

• Apollo thoroughly enjoys spoiling you, with both physical affection and material items. In his mind it’s his job to give all he can to you to ensure your happiness and pleasure, even if he can go overboard and too far without realising it.

• Apollo fawns over how small and vulnerable you are compared to him, even when he’s at human height. His power over you is incredible and this is something he truly relishes in every time he notices it as it fuels his ego as a protector and provider for you.

today I woke up with the clear goal to make a rating of Olympus snorers (it will include the 7 male olympians and Hades cause I don’t have much thought about others yet)

so from top to bottom

#1 Poseidon

as I already mentioned he is the loudest snorer over here

in my imagination big men always snore and Poseidon is quite tall and muscular so he is like a bear

the loudest snores come out when he passes out because of tiredness ,,,

like when he sleeps soundly his body relaxes and he doesn’t control any muscles or processes

a few times he snored at the top of his voice and caused several earthquakes :///

Amphitrite was laughing hysterically and teased him when other olympians had been constantly asking what was wrong and why he was so mad???

Poseidon made a pact with Amphitrite to never reveal the real reason

#2 Zeus

the only top he got the second place and not angry about

the main reason Zeus snores is because he is big

like Poseidon his snores are loud and kinda massive

I also like to think that during the Titanomachy he broke his nose and from that time he had some nose issues which he never solved because Hera never complained

Nevertheless Hera still loves to tease him because of loud snoring

She always says that just like kouretes made loud noises to hide baby Zeus the grown man is just hiding something from his wife

Zeus isn’t concerned about his loud snoring so surprisingly he usually laughs when other gods mention that

#3 Hephaestus and Ares

it seems to me that both Ares and Hephaestus snore from time to time

like their snores a medium volume and happen when their are really unconscious

Ares hates himself snoring mostly because Aphrodite can’t sleep in such noise right above her head (she is overreacting saying that Ares’ snores a FUCKING LOUD and poor man believes her)

Hephaestus only snores when he is lying on the back which happens not really often

but he is really ashamed of it because he count that as another “flaw” (Aphrodite was a reason of a such perpective) and still didn’t sorted this issue (both mentally and physically)

#4 Dionysus

it’s pretty obvious but when Dionysus is fucking drunk he snores

but in comparison with Zeus and Poseidon he has these kinda cute little snores and he even drooles

Ariadne sometimes founds it lovely but other time when Dionysus oversteps with vine it looks disgusting (other olympians think so)

Dionysus honestly can’t care less about snoring so he don’t even try to solve this

once he passed out completely wasted but somehow he didn’t snored and his Bacchantes and satyres were terrified

for a moment poor folks thought that he finally reached the edge

#5 Hermes

Hermes practically never snores at least other olympians do think so

but George and Martha (or just his snakes if you are not into pjo) caught him snoring a few times after extremely crazy party

yes he also snores when he is drunk

but he kinda snortes-snores if it make sense to you

so he accidentally snortes-snores once in 10-15 minutes and that makes sleepy Hermes fucking hilarious to others

#6 Apollo

poor boy is totally sure that he never snores

but the muses regularly catch him snoring like a little baby when he passes out after a long musical or poetry session

needless to say as soon as he finds out he is terrified

he desperately tries to solve this problem because he is the god of medicine and perfection (as he insists)

after his total loss and all 5 stages of grief he asks Asclepius for help

100% overdramatic about this

#7 Hades

lucky man who never got this problem

actually never cared about snoring unless Persephone said somethering like “thanks to the fates you are a quiet sleeper”

from now on he is a proud man

always chuckles when both Poseidon and Zeus mention their little issue and claims that he has the most perfect nose out of the family

his younger brothers not really jealous of it but they still like fake complaining

mostly they do that when Hades starts to annoy them like all elder siblings do

Warnings; brief mentions of what Sisyphus did to Thanatos ( capturing and locking him up ), and what Hypnos did during the Trojan War ( putting Zeus to sleep and being chased by Zeus. ).

Being death itself, Thanatos is constantly busy. Collecting and escorting shades to the underworld where Charon then ferrys them to where they need to go.

He's had very little time to relax. But, on those rare days\nights when he is able to enjoy a split second or if he's lucky an hour or so of peace.

He's going straight to Hypnos, asking him to put him to sleep.

Hypnos of course agrees, placing his dear brother into a slumber. Waking him, only if needed.

Naps with Cerberus are a must.

Hypnos often, if not barely leaves the underworld, thus, I like to think he forgets what certain things, people, animals and even god\goddess look like. So, he'll usually ask Thanatos to describe who or what he's seen while at the surface.

Growing up, I like to think that Thanatos would drag Hypnos along with him. Just imagine, Hypnos lazily floating around, half asleep his eyes barely able to stay open. And, Thanatos beside him. Making sure he doesn't wonder off.

And if Nyx, Erebus or one of their siblings ever needed them for something. Thanatos would hook his arm around Hypnos'. Dragging him along with him to check what they were needed for.

I also like to think that The Fates taught Thanatos how to spin threads as a pastime of sorts. They had tried teaching Hypnos as well but to no one's surprise, he slept through most of it.

Throughout the time where Thanatos was captured and chained up by Sisyphus, Hypnos forced himself to stay awake in hopes that Thanatos would return. He was beyond happy when he heard Ares had rescued his brother.

Thanatos was always protective over his siblings, he'd watched over them while their parents were busy while growing up.

However, upon learning Hypnos had put Zeus to sleep. He grew much more protective over him.

While going back and forth to the surface and underworld, Thanatos takes a moment or so to check on Hypnos and bringing him anything if needed.

Hypnos in return leaves little messages or silly little drawings near Thanatos things. In hopes it'll make him a bit happier before his job.

That's how you end up stuck with your soulmate for all eternity. But for Apollo, in the warmth of true love, they transcended the boundaries between the divine and the mortal, uniting as soulmates destined to remain together for eternity.

Thus, the Greek god found his soulmate, a union that shone with the light of the gods and the purity of human hearts that would later be contaminated by the obsession that controlled him. There's no else to go but his side.

no matter your gender you will be their new favorite (no offense to the others they're still loved <3). if your a girl then you'll be spoiled, dressed in the cutest and finest clothes. if your a boy then you'll be trained to be a warrior and praised for everything.

you will remain at their sides at all times. they cant let their youngest child out of their sight, what if you got hurt?

when the events of the show happen things become dangerous. both of your parents are already angry at each other and everyone is on edge with hera's threats.

when heron is first brought to olympus you were locked in your room by your mother. there was no way she would let her baby near another one of her husbands children that had not been with her.

when the war starts the only decision that your parents managed to agree on would be that you are not aloud to fight. they dont care how much you beg or whos side you take you will not fight.

they would most likely gide you in the underworld, that's where all the other gods who remained natural hid from the fight so you would be under constant attention.

after the fight hera is quick to get you after the fight before your uncles or siblings could. since no one knows if zeus was alive or dead she had no reason to let you be on olympus when she knew she wasn't welcome after what she had done.

since the gods cant die zeus will heal and come to find you. as will your siblings and other family.

if your mother refuses to give you back with no fight then there may be another war for who gets to keep you.

ultimately your family will decide keep you in their care together. your parents might not get along but your safety they will tolerate each other.

"you can get headaches?" percy asked with a chuckled.

you couldn't deny that it sounded so goddamn attractive, and it made you more mad than you were already.

"shut up, percy." you told him. "stay focus, remember?"

"here you go again." he complained, now fighting the dracanae on his own as you were knocked off your feet. "you okay?"

"yes, i'm okay." you answered, just laying there for a second going over memories of decisions you had made and regretting them before standing back up and holding onto your sword tightly.

"good, because you keep getting distracted. stop that or you will get yourself killed."

you rolled your eyes but he was right, you needed to stay focus on the fight. you briefly wondered why it was taking so long since percy was an excellent fighter and he could've killed the dracanae in five minutes flat.

"very funny." you said dryly, why did he have to play with you like that.

the dracanae stood there staring at the scene of you two completely forgetting about her.

"unfortunately for you..." you made a face, just for the drama of it and watched percy's face slowly fall. "i like you too."

percy let out a dry chuckle, throwing his head back with another sigh then shaking his head. "i hate you so much..." he mumbled then walked to you.

he grabbed your face between his hands and attached his lips to yours. you dropped your sword, putting your arms around his neck and kissing him back with as much passion as he was. it was so addicting, the smell of sea salt and the taste of blueberries of his lips was driving you crazy from just a few seconds of kissing.

you two separated then leaned back in after taking a few deep breath's, this was exactly what you needed right now. you could kiss him all day and not get tired of it. his hands came down from your face to your neck, to your shoulder until they rested against your hips.

"how dare you two do thissssss infront of me!! thisss issss—" the dracanae got interrupted by the humidity coming off the ground and turning to water that engulfed around her, drowning her voice inside of it.
