Crying in Sylus's arms when things get overwhelmingly bad, his heart aches at the sight of you struggling to stop the tears, your cries muffled against his broad chest.

Sylus's mind raced with anything he could think of to help you feel better - he'd thought of preparing the shooting range to let out all your frustrations or cook your favourite dishes or even coaxing you to go out to get some fresh air together.

But no, you didn't want any of that, with your arms wrapped tightly around his middle as you buried your tear-streaked face into his shoulder, your voice a pained whisper as he listened to your small plea -

"Stay, please." Your voice cracked slightly from all the crying, your body trembling from the intense emotions you were feeling as you slowly lifted your face to look up at him, your expression utterly distraught and exhausted. "I don't want anything else. Just you, please."

You didn't need to tell him twice as Sylus's arms instinctively pulled you closer to him, one hand moved up to cup your cheek as he gently wiped away the tears. "Shh. Its okay."

He pressed a soft kiss on your forehead before holding you firmer in his arms, the warmth of his body and his soothing reassurance made you melt against his hold. "Everything will be okay. I won't ever leave you alone."

A single tear rolled down your cheek as you closed your eyes, letting out a shaky sigh, you rested comfortably against him. His hand caressing your back to soothe you more, his calm voice echoing in your mind before the fatigue finally settled in as you fell asleep in his embrace.

"Rest, my beloved. I'll be here when you wake up."

imagine you're yasmin khan right. and one year ago you had a bittersweet breakup with the woman you had unending devotion to while she was chronically emotionally unavailable. and you found a stopping point in this relationship when you both knew that she would never be able to be in a normal committed relationship or be involved in your home life the same way you're involved in hers. so you go home and you live your life for a year and you start a group therapy with all her other exes because good lord that was a lot.

and then you find out that your ex is now a middle aged gay man living in chiswick with his best friend and her family and he's normal and happy. and for him this all happened in the span of a few days. wouldn't you start snapping necks.

i feel like 10 years ago if you lost your phone then all youd need to do once you get a new one is tell all your friends your new phone number but now its like. okay to access your medical information, bank account and basic life essentials you need to update your 2 factor authenticiation by using the verification code we've sent to your old phone number. you dont have that old phone number anymore? okay for security purposes tell us exactly what you were doing on the night of march 7th 2022. you dont know that information? okay go to our in person offices, opening hours 1pm-1:30pm only on tuesdays. cant make that window? die.

As you know, art is my only job rn and in order to support myself I figured I need to be fulfilling at least 4 or 5 comms a month.

In desperate need recently as my rent has increased this year and I'm helping my parents with bills too. Ideally I need to make £400 a month to help, so that's 5 or so slots to fill. I'd really appreciate the help 💖

Scott’s run had lasted just over 90 minutes and, according to EOS, he had achieved three new personal bests over some of the trickier segments of the Island’s trails. His pulse thundered in his head as, predictably, the brother he least wanted to see right now joined the trail just ahead of him and ran alongside. “Scott, slow down. Please?”

“I did that already! Look how well it turned out!” “You know I was right, Scott!” “THEY DIED! THEY ALL DIED, VIRGIL!” “AND YOU WOULD HAVE TOO!” Scott turned away, unable to process the agony in his brother’s eyes just then. He nudged the pace up a little, hoping those that pleading face would fall behind him. “Maybe I wouldn’t… there might have been something… something I could have… done.” His limbs betrayed him and he staggered to a stop again, breathing heavily. “Sometimes there is nothing that can be done, Scott. Even by us. Even by you.” Virgil’s voice shook. Scott keened slightly and hugged himself in an effort to control the shivers that were beginning. He slowly shook his head from side to side, as if denial might yet change the outcome. Virgil’s arms appeared around him and held on tight. The rain continued to slam into the earth around them. “Sometimes there is nothing that can be done.” He repeated softly. Scott had already parroted these exact words to the GDF officer who had, as usual, turned up too late to be of any use. His heart hadn’t been in them. Where his heart had been at that very moment was in the clenched fists of the woman he could see over the uniformed shoulder. The wife of one of the local first responders who had been trapped in the mine as it collapsed. The raw agony on her face as she hung limply over the linked arms of two friends and howled was too familiar. A freak avalanche obliterated all in its path. A sabotaged fighter jet exploded on the runway. A prototype spaceship exploded into atoms. The second solid hour of pushing past his limit wandered over and presented its bill and Scott folded at the knees.

Mini rant-

At this point I just want Caleb’s event to be over…i love him so much but anytime the spotlight’s on him there’s always so much hate that comes along😭

Twitter is a hell hole for Caleb lovers. Ever since his event was announced its been nonstop complaining and arguments. ( ig i can kinda understand SOME of the complaints from people but like why couldn’t they complain before or at least when his event is ALMOST DONE. There’s nothing wrong with criticizing but at LEAST give us Caleb girls a breather. Its been nonstop on twitter since the event came out)

I know I shouldn’t let hate lessen my enjoyment of this event but it kinda has. 😔

I can’t wait till he’s event is done. I just want peace😭

I did all I could these past few weeks to grind my way up to level 100 before Sylus' birthday and I actually made it aaaaaaa I'm so happy! I would like to thank my protocores and Magnum Opus for helping me plow my way through the orbits. And also Sylus for being very helpful with the claw machine (he even used his evol to manifest a diff colored plushie I needed and then caught it in one go) 🫶🏻

Also got a phonecall from jealous/possessive Sylus when I logged in. I am being treated like a Princess today 👸
