I genuinely believe Naksu haunts the narrative. Her actions and existence as Naksu heavily impact the entire story. Her past, the life she lived and the shadow of it in Mudeok. But we don't actually know any of it because Naksu is not in the story.
Like. What she lost as Cho Yeong is something that we are never allowed to forget, the loss of her body, her powers, her freedom, and her impending death as a soul shifter hangs over Mudeok's head like guillotine.
All the while we don't actually know the Shadow Assassin Naksu, she died in the first episode, as soon as the story began. Other than training and killing (soul shifters) what kind of person was she when she didn't have to rely on another person else or hide or live as someone else? We don't know and we don't ever learn any of that.
Still, her absence is the plot, yet her former existence as Naksu influences everything; Yul's actions and what she was to him, Jang Uk's goal of returning her powers, the revelation of soul shifters to Park Jin, Jang Gang's departure, Jin Mu's accomplishments, the King's Star even.
Everything is about her existence but she doesn't actually exist at all anymore.

Day 2 of SerennedyPrideWeek: Domestic!
These two deserve to live a happy life with each other away from the stresses of their world. I imagine this as a sort of post-re4 au where Luis lives and continues on the mission with Leon, eventually being able to escape the island with Ashley and Leon! Leon is also able to get away from the government, and Luis and him now live a content, mostly peaceful life.

What if the Doctor did what Donna told him to. Travels around the world and universe but always coming back again for his friends. Eat Christmas dinner with the Nobles. Go see Rose's school play. Becoming a part of the Noble family basically. Watch people around him grow old but never saying goodbye. He watches as Rose grows into a fine woman and he watches Donna grow old. She's happy having lived such a great life, and she's content because her family and her best friend is there beside her. He attends her funeral the same place as he had attended her wedding. Then he finally lets go, having came to terms with all his sadness and regrets in the decades he have lived with his best friend, regenerating into the next Doctor.

Heartstone AU where Ellen voluntarily leaves the Bedlam and becomes Guy’s assistant.
She’s got the kind patient bedside manner needed to deal with distressed patients and the stomach to stitch up terrible wounds. She’s seen a lot of mental and physical illnesses during her twenty years in the Bedlam. She’s seen too much. But not enough to erase her sense of decency towards others. She isn’t easily shocked. She cares. She wants to help. She knows that what happened to her when she was 16 wasn’t her fault. She knows she isn’t crazy. She’s so sharply intelligent. And compassionate. She knows she’s more privileged than anyone else in her tiny little stone world full of abandoned suffering people. And she’ll use that privilege for good by helping others less fortunate than herself, because she is fortunate – she has her mind in full working order. And she’ll also help them because she wants to do something with her life. She needs to put her brain to work, or else she really will go crazy. So yes, she cares for the patients out of selfishness as well as altruism. The two are effortlessly linked.
Matthew respects her wishes and doesn’t visit her again. But Ellen continues to receive Guy as a visitor. They become friends. Her mental door to the outside world has been punched through, and light is streaming in. With Guy’s help she fights back against her illness. She may not ever fully recover. But she gets better and better, first one step outside and then another. And another. And one day she leaves her hospital-prison and starts again. She takes an assistant position with Guy and adores it. She gets to heal people and live in safety in the outside world, while Guy gets to pass on his knowledge to his new heir.
[A possible bonus is that she and Matthew start speaking again and become friends on more equal terms.]

I think the Hilson is getting to me so much bc this is the first time I've watched the show since actually identifying as disabled and being in pain 24/7 and watching House get angry and fed up and selfish when he sees the people who force him to keep going and have made him quite vicodin twice do everything they can to not live a life in pain is like.
Yeah House. I get where you're coming from now. You're still an ass, but like, yeah, I would be too a little

upcoming Walter x reader fic sneak peek

The master stepped further into the room, his face finally out of the blinding sunlight, revealing his diamond-cut jaw, crystal blue eyes, and soft-looking black hair. You swallowed a bit, noticing some of the other girls doing the same, he truly matched the stories of his beauty.
You leaned towards your lady's maid, whispering in her ear; “He’s so pretty” she giggled, her nose scrunching slightly as the master's eyes flickered over to you, the corner of his lip quirking a bit; a dimple making itself known for a split moment. You felt yourself flush, knowing he had heard your every word thanks to his supernatural hearing.
