Seriously tho, he can be a silly goofball, the crowned king of the clowns *clown honk sounds*. He definitely has his badass moments, that's a fact I can't deny, but he's SO adorable. On a deeper level, 4's a relatable character, very complex. Especially for someone who also deals with their perfectionist side. And ofc, yall know the drill: GOOP!4 ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ That's why 4 is on my "saviors in blue" list. What's not to love about him?

Ok so, the fable ship bracket voting poll....

I've said that "Kaleidoscope and Prison Duo need to have a 'we meet again' in the semi final"

Which - one thing lead to another - and I thought it'd be funny if the ships were personified and at voting debates, so our propaganda would be their arguments etc....

So here's my visual on that (basically morphing the two characters designs together)

Here's the versions that I did up to design what they look like...

So as mentioned, to make them, I fused the two characters together.

I'm also taking name suggestions!

So for Kaleidoscope, I gave them long curly white hair with scattered rainbow highlights - in this I tied it up, similar to how Malitae wears it. I gave them Malitaes horns, lots of colourful earrings and some horn rings. I also added a head jewelry pieces, that comes from Midas' circlet. I remember Malitae having "calcite skin" so I made them super pale, almost white, like calcite and some magenta/ purple sclera eyes.

I didn't have much on what Malitae would wear, but in the photo on their wiki, they have a nice, lose hanging piece, so I had Midas' jacket appear lighter and off shoulder - and instead of having a tie-dye gradient look, it's paint splatters. Under shirt that also doesn't cover the shoulders, corset and black pants and boots with a magenta shimmer to them

For Prison Duo - it was actually kinda tricky colour pallets wise - I combined Icarus' jacket with Centross' cloak and made it one of those jackets you hang off the shoulders (not actually put your arms in the sleeves) I shifted the purple in Ics jacket to a more Violet (like Centross' cloak), his amethyst necklace + their pins. Black fingerless gloves and shirt and jeans, also boots with a more Violet tint to them.

I gave them an undercut, the top has a bit more of Icarus' style to the fringe and shaved underneath. Icarus' ear wings, but again the purple shifts more to a Violet. The purple and yellow heterochromia + black sclera. Scruff! I also connected Ics prison scar to Centross' scar across his eye, so it curves around the face.

Small headcanons:

Kaleidoscope is mute and communicates through imagery, text or sign language. Number 1 shit-stirrer, little chaos gremlin.

Prison Duo: bird allegations (but also in the way that "this bird will bite")

This was actually a fun little challenge, so I might do more? For funsies?

Okay, I need to give Hua Cheng propaganda 'cause it's getting kinda close and he CANNOT lose this! People need to know that he's been waiting 800 years to be impregnated by his Gege! Also, he's the top (gong in Chinese) in the relationship, but he would DIE (again) to be impregnated by Dianxia!! Also, his husband kind of has a habit of picking up and pseudo-adopting kids but forgetting about them later, so he needs a child he wouldn't be able to forget about. And Hua Cheng is actually a ghost and doesn't have a heartbeat but since he can have sex with Xie Lian, then he probably would also be able to defy being dead to be pregnant, so. And Hua Cheng has always thought he's ugly because he has heterochromia and everyone told him he looked like a monster when he was a kid, and so if he has a child, he'd probably be very upset at first if the kid doesn't look like Xie Lian, but he might actually start to believe he's not ugly if the kid also has heterochromia, and he could never think Dianxia's kid is ugly even if he does look like Hua Cheng, so through loving the kid's appearance he might love his own!!! And also everyone told him he was born under a bad star and was doomed to bring sorrow and destruction upon everyone he was close to, so giving Xie Lian a child would be further proof that that's not true!! Please please please let him win, he wants to be pregnant so bad, don't let him down!! He's waited 800 years!!

These are all very good points. Let our Hua Chengzhu be pregnant!

Trauma! 

Tsubasa: Fights against the big bad, and his soul breaks and he gets hospitalized, and he gets possessed by the evil power that made the bad guy evil. Has to struggle against his own alternate self that basically drives him to tv-y7 approved bloodlust. 

Sakura: rather than his white hair being caused by trauma, for sakura, it's the other way around—he was born with natural split black-and-white hair and heterochromia, which led to him being rejected and shunned for his unusual appearance throughout his youth. because of this, he has both a disinclination to trust others and a severely damaged sense of self-worth.

Propaganda!

Tsubasa: He's hot and sexy imma be so for real. Also he has the bonus of being tied to the bad guy, who is also a white hair and Trauma combo, who also had to deal with the possession. 

Sakura: poor little stray kitten left all alone in a cardboard box. he pretends he doesn't need to rely on anyone else, but the truth is he wants to be loved and accepted more than anything, and will gladly self-destruct for the sake of protecting the people he cares about. he is so painfully, unwaveringly kind in spite of his upbringing (or lack thereof), and so incredibly loved by those around him, it makes it all the more tragic that he repeatedly fails to see his own inherent value as a person.

Jane Seymour - (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) - I'd like to specifically draw attention to Jane Seymour in the Quinn years. In her forties, she was ethereally beautiful, and while the costuming and styling was less than historically accurate, at least it showed off her wonderful auburn hair. This was also the show where I first noticed her eyes' brown and green heterochromia, which, along with her delicate profile, gives her that extra touch of magic. With this show, she not only offered fun melodrama, she centered the Western genre on a woman and used its plots to argue for gun control, anti-racism, anti-censorship, anti-homophobia, and the social acceptance of those living with AIDS.

Gina Torres - (Firefly, One Life to Live) - God, just look at her! She's a stunning woman, she's a black belt in Taekwondo, and her voice is amazing!

OC Propaganda: Subject: Crispin O'Callner

Is highly knowledgeable about fae and things that go bump in the night. It's not exactly his specialization as a private investigator, but considering most people still write that stuff off or are afraid of it or automatically think it's evil, he does end up handling a number of cases in that line--including fae coming to him to get help with dealing with humans.

He has fae blood, but it's several generations back and doesn't do much besides give him extra Aesthetic (heterochromia, slightly pointy ears, extra pointy teeth). It does, however, give him "truesight." Essentially this makes him harder to fool either by lying (fae are very attuned to the truth) or by illusions/magic (fae can recognize their own kind).

Anyway, for one of the cases Dae semi-forces him to read a book that is Not Correct about the fae, and it causes him agonies untold (there is something in there that he does need to know about, though...). The following snippet is from that scene (the dragonfly charm is a kind of "good luck charm" that mostly serves a fidget/way to ground himself):

Crispin found himself rubbing the dragonfly charm a lot over the next hour. It was hard to get him to hate a book, but it seemed like these authors had found a way: fill the book with misinformation and defamation stated confidently, and with blanket bad-faith assumptions towards people and situations they misunderstood. It wasn't evil so much as idiotic without understanding, and that was somehow worse. It felt like mocking when Dae contentedly curled up in his lap, after making sure he was properly reading. Upon tentative investigation, however, she did not seem to mind being petted, and, though her fur was a bit wiry, it wasn't unpleasant. After a while of slogging through the inane and inaccurate drivel, it was somewhat relaxing--soothing, even--to be able to roughly stroke her fur and think about other things.  Though, her also being a fae, Crispin was tempted to blame Dae for the book. When Julia and Ms. Hallifax finally made it back, he felt like throwing a party. Instead, he curbed his impulse to start ranting at them about his sufferings, and with a calm he found himself proud of asked them how their mission went.

"So when the movie starts Winslow already has major egg vibes with her artsy little turtleneck and “this is the longest i can grow out my hair without raising suspicion” haircut (although it was the 70s and i think longer hair was more common for men at the time. still counts tho). Then when she’s trying to sneak into Swan’s house so she can talk to him after she’s been kicked out, she puts on a dress and pretends to be one of the women there to audition!! there were other ways she could have snuck in but she chose to wear a dress. she doesn’t act ashamed or embarrassed either, and when she’s caught she seemed to not have been suspecting Swan and his guards/police to be disgusted with her. Then once she’s the phantom she puts on a cunty little outfit with a cape and black lipstick and heavy eye makeup!! The mask makes sense to hide her injury, but the rest of the outfit was completely unnecessary. she just wanted to explore her gender and be a creature of the night and slay while doing it. also says a lot that once she can’t sing anymore and is picking a singer to, in her words, “be my voice,” she picks a woman and gets incredibly upset whenever men are chosen to present her music. she’s also just generally more comfortable around women ,, every time i watch this movie i am more and more convinced winslow is transfemme"
