As a nonbinary haj I know that gender norms exists. I know there are expectations about how you should behave based on the gender you present as. But would you say a cis-girl isent a girl for beeing tall and liking football? Would you say a cis-boy isent a boy becaouse he likes playing ballet and painting his nails?

NO YOU WOULDN'T! (Or at least you better not. Will eat you if you do 💛)

I will any day belive that someone is the gender they tell me they are despite how they present themselves. Becaouse that probably took a bunch of thought and I trust they know themselves best.

Too many peopel are already trying to enforce too many rules and I will go on a rant below the cut.

Tw: transphobia and rape

I personally have fought to keep the gender neutral bathroom in my school gender neutral where I live.

It's a discussion topic that gets picked up every year becaouse peopel feel uncomfortable around 'the other gender'. That can be totally fair but when we start separating spaces and enforcing segregation between genders it can become a slippery slope. ( There at least need to be one gender neutral bathroom present. This is often a disabled toilet. It sucks having to take space away from disabled peopel but it is safer to use when looking gender non-conforming)

The argument often used against trans women is that men rape women and a man could therefore attack women in the bathrooms by saying he is a woman. This argument is ridiculous. Following this logic we should segregate schools into girl and boy schools. And also gay peopel exists so everyone should be home schooled becaouse gay peopel can also rape each other. Wanna know who also hurt kids? Their parents. Separated from their parents but if you have a sibling you don't get to go with them becaouse some families incest and rape each other. Total solidarity no communication with anyone. (Exaggerating here to make my point)

Yes we should support women and rape victims and so on. But separation is not the solution. (And I expect it might actually make it worse, becaouse peopel don't see and communicate with 'the other gender' and a barrier is reinforced. Instead of social equality).

We shouldn't check genitals or what not to avoid rape in bathrooms. (If you really wanted to avoid rape in bathrooms you should make single areas with toilet and handcleaner and all that with clear exists to large public areas or something.) It will only hurt everyone and remove bodily anatomy and what not. I'm mad.

Don't let the bars set by peopel who don't want you to win define who you are. You define who you are. Be who you want to be.

The total is $265, and they charged only for urgent care and a chem panel. I used Care Credit to cover the cost, but that's a $265 bill I would like to have paid off by the end of the month due to interest and one less bill to worry about.

She took a bite of me while I held her down and neck pinched to help the vet keep her secure for part of the exam.

Ouch. It was cleaned with antibacterial handcleaner and rubbing alcohol. Still ugly and bruising. Not upset though. Just ouch. The vet got a chuckle when I explained why I couldn't look at my arm while I was cleaning the wound.

The sight of my own blood makes me, um, faint.

Looks like we'll be taking Cacoa to the vet today. Her anal glands are blocked again. Last three times this happened, it was around $450 USD because she also had to be sedated. Now she's 18, which makes sedation high risk, and we're broke. I have a Care Credit card, but the interest on this thing is ridiculous.

This used to happen every 6-12 months, then we got a few years of no issues, but the last four have been repeats of this issue. She got very little sleep last night, she's eating and drinking, urinating just fine, but can't have a bowel movement due to blockage and pain. Last year, just before we pulled the carrier out, she went to use the litter box, and very loudly managed to unblock the glands. Not this time though. She's grooming enough to cause bleeding.
