Coming to terms with being potentially permanently disabled has been a rollercoaster tbh

This is the type of summer jacket I'm going for (though something a LOT cheaper). It looks a bit heavy, but I feel it's fashionable, yet still appropriate for the season (especially since I'm always so cold due to my Hashimoto's.)
Here's the link on the Pioneer Woman's site where I found it
Style: Triumph Hybrid Jacket

okay so obviously i consider myself a fat positive/body positive person but i will be discussing weight in this post so please ignore if ur not into that! i understand!
i have gained seven pounds in the last month. there is absolutely no reason for this. i’m kind of freaking out, because in the past, when i’ve gained a bunch of weight at once, that meant my thyroid was switching into hypothyroidism (i have Hashimoto’s). i’m seeing my endo soon which is great because i can get my T3 and T4 levels checked, but honestly it’s kinda scary. i just want my clothes to fit. i don’t have the money or time or patience to buy new pants. i hope it’s an issue with my hormones, because i have been experiencing other symptoms of hypo too.

Does anyone with lived experience with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis have a few min to talk with me? I just got diagnosed and I would like to hear from someone who also has it.

When a disabled person says that they can’t do something, we don’t mean that we just don’t want to. We also don’t mean maybe. We mean that we physically cannot do it or that we could, but it could really harm us. We have to pay consequences. You don’t.
