Hey, I'm recent to the TB fandom and I had a small question about Vaclav Havel's lore :) while searching through the wiki, I noticed that on the Inquisition's article where it says "members" there is a bullet point that says "Brother Vaclav - former chief of the Inquisition". Is this statement correct in terms of his lore?
Nope. He worked for the Inquisition but he wasn’t chief. 私は、兀々、異端審問局にいたんですが、それのとき当時の上司と宗教上の見解からふつかっとしまして。。。[RAM 3, Judas Priest, III, p.89] “I was once in the Inquisition and at that time I had a conflict of opinion with my superior becauseo of religious views.“

〉the enemy of my enemy
chapter 3 - ambush.
ethan hunt x f!reader 》 read chapter 1 here! summary: You’re alone. Prague is the first real lead you’ve had on VANTAGE since everything went haywire—and you’re not about to let some fancy IMF agent ruin your shot. But when Ethan Hunt intercepts you mid-mission, everything spirals. word count: 2720 tags: enemies to lovers, slow burn, FAKE MARRIED TROPE !!! hehehe warnings: some fighting. a/n: had to fit some more explanations here. guys this is a slow cooker burn btw.
PRAGUE. UNKNOWN HOTEL -> VACLAV HAVEL AIRPORT, 07:10 HOURS.
"I’m shocked you’re not handcuffing me to the bed. You’re getting soft, Agent Hunt," you say loud enough for him to hear your final words for the night. He doesn’t laugh. But his mouth twitches like he wants to.
Light seeps through the windows to your left and you open one eye, and immediately shut it.
How is it already morning?
You can’t remember the dream you had last night, but you know it was tense. You rub your jaw, attempting to relieve the tension from clenching it in your sleep.
Now your memory is catching up to you. You’re in a random hotel room, sleeping on a stiff bed sponsored by the IMF, and you’re wearing the newest Ethan Hunt designer loungewear.
You’re not alone.
You sit up in bed quickly, propping yourself on your arms. Across the room, you can see the agent slouched on the sofa, computer light casting a green glow on his face.
He’s sleeping, and you can’t help but stare at him. You get up off the bed and take the blanket off of your shoulders.
That wasn’t there when you fell asleep. You ignore it, maybe not wanting to believe someone as closed-off as Hunt would do something for his “hostage”.
Your bare feet pad quietly across the wooden floors, and you stand over him, like the way he stood over you when it was your turn on the computer last night.
His dark hair was tousled around his head. He had discarded the white button down and only had his tank undershirt on. Your eyes traced down his arms, rippling with muscles and scarred from hundreds of missions. Geez. How strong was this guy? Wrinkles crease his forehead and around other parts of his features, making you wonder how many late nights he’s pulled for missions, how many faces he’s seen disappear behind gunfire.
Just the sight of his seasoned face, and body, made you feel inexperienced. Younger. You had your fair share of fights and missions your private agency had you do, but nothing was compared to the wringer that the IMF put Hunt through.
A part of you was jealous of his discipline. A part of you feared that one day you’d be like him. Cold. Calculated. Detached. At least that’s what you thought of him after reading his classified file.
But he spared your life. He gave you some of his own clothes to borrow for the night. And the blanket, well maybe he just didn’t want to have to drag around a rogue agent with a cold.
Your eyes dart to the computer. It was on, but only had a blank terminal window open. The chip was on the table next to it, and for a brief moment, you thought about grabbing it and getting away.
What purpose would that serve you? Where would you go? You could certainly make your way to the coordinates. And then what? You think you could take down VANTAGE… alone? You could manage. But it would be a suicide mission. So many risks, but you didn’t have much to lose. Letting VANTAGE win, however, could be catastrophic for millions of lives.
You look back at Ethan Hunt. As painful as it was to your ego, maybe it was a good thing you crossed paths with him.
Maybe two agents, with different scars, different methods, and very different pasts could want the same ending.
And maybe working with him wasn’t a sign of weakness.
It was strategy. Survival.
His chest rose and fell steadily with sleep, arms crossed, and posture still somewhat half-alert even when resting. Of course. Always ready for action.
You manage to peel away from him and spot a coffee maker in the corner by the microwave. As you start preparing some, you can hear a tired groan from the couch.
“Did you get your beauty sleep?”
Back turned, you miss his second groan. One of annoyance.
In moments, he’s up and at it. He grabs his phone and takes a call, moving over to the dresser to grab a change of clothes.
“Benji…. yes we’re awake.”
A long pause.
“Okay. Got it. We’ll meet you over in Marseille…. no, I think we’ll be okay without. See you soon.”
Click.
You turn around with two coffee mugs in your hands and make your way over to Hunt, who is busily finding something suitable to wear.
“Good morning, sunshine,” you tease, handing him a mug.
He holds out a hand. “No thanks. I don’t do coffee in the mornings.”
Ugh. You felt like an idiot, but you hid your irritation. “Fine. I do. Because I’m human,” you say, taking a sip.
“Be ready to go in thirty. We’re going to the airport.”
You scoff. “Well I’d hope so. Sitting in a car for fifteen hours with you would be one hell of a ride.”
Hunt storms to the bathroom. “Get ready.”
‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗
As you watch Hunt pack the last of the essentials, which obviously included a gun, not sure how he was going to get that through security, a backpack with a few things, and a black folder, you can’t help but think of your belongings that were in your hotel room in Prague.
Bye stolen VANTAGE computer.
You were basically IMF property now, but luckily they give their agents all the good stuff.
Knock knock.
Both of you freeze and look at the door. Suddenly two masked men burst into the hotel room.
“Down!” Hunt shouts and dives behind a corner.
Glass shatters as bullets rip through the air, and you duck behind the couch. You’re simultaneously calculating your next move and wondering who found you two. As you’re on the ground, you spot your tranquilizer bangle just a few feet away that you took off last night.
You snag it quickly, unclasp it, and look behind, just as one of the men comes around to you. Launching off the ground, you tackle the gun out of his hand and in one motion, stab the tranquilizer in his neck. It’s effect isn’t immediate, but he’s already swaying, ineffectively swinging punches in your direction. You sweep your leg underneath him and deliver one final blow to his head, knocking him unconscious.
Hunt is busy with the other man, they're both wrestling to the death. He hits the ground, but you see him slide his hand across the ground and grab a thin knife hidden under the rug. He tries to stab his attacker, but the mercenary notices and kicks it out of Hunt’s hands.
You swear under your breath and grab the gun by the coffee table from the man you just took down, and aim it at the mess of arms and legs.
There’s no way in hell I’m getting a clean shot. As much as Hunt’s attitude made you want to shoot him, you needed him.
You quietly sneak behind them and grab the knife that had skidded to the door. In moments, you’re on the man’s shoulders, yanking him backward. You plunge the knife into his chest and he collapses on the ground, crushing you behind in the process.
But he’s out. And both you and Hunt are alive.
“About time you jumped in,” Hunt wheezed. You can see some bruise marks on his neck.
You open your mouth to refute, but he cuts you off. “We gotta get out of here. Come on.”
He grabs the backpack and you both run out the door, leaving the wreckage behind. As you’re running out the hotel, Hunt turns to you. “Where’d you learn to do all that?”
You smirk devilishly. “You think I’m just a pretty face?”
He can escape two armed mercenaries, but can’t figure out how to escape your attitude.
The car from last night is safely parked in the hotel lot. “Get in,” he demands.
Before he pulls out of the lot, he hands the backpack to you. “Change. Now.”
“Can you stop bossing me around?”
Hunt steps on the gas pedal, eyes full of rage. “Can you tell me how they found us?”
You swallow dryly. It might not have been your fault that your location was compromised, but deep inside you knew someone was tracking that chip. And you were probably the one to raise the alarm.
Inside the bag, there’s a short blonde wig and some oversized sunglasses. You slip them on over your head. You’re about to make a snarky comment when you remember Hunt’s fury. This wasn’t the time to accuse Ethan Hunt for having a thing for blondes.
There’s a hoodie and baseball cap at the bottom of his bag, and he puts both on, while steering towards the airport. Well, that’s probably the least impressive thing he could do.
At the airport, you follow Hunt to an obscure terminal.
“Uh, we have no boarding passes,” you say under your breath as you trail behind him.
Man, you feel like a child. No clue what the plan is, still in Hunt’s pants, and your disguise is held together by a fake wig.
Without missing a beat, Hunt pulls a phone from the hoodie, not the one from before, this one is a smartphone, never thought he’d upgrade.
He taps the screen a few times, then holds it out to show you two digital boarding passes.
“Claire and James Peterson?” You laugh. “We’re a married couple.”
Hunt stuffs the phone back. “Try not to look like you hate me, then.”
“No promises.”
As you head up to security, Hunt dials a number.
“Benj, yeah. We’re at security….. yes I have one on me.”
You can hear the voice on the other line but can’t make out any words clearly.
Hunt walks up to security, still on the phone, and right as he’s about to pass through, he says “Now.” He smoothly tosses the phone into a bin with his backpack that has a semi-automatic pistol inside, and then walks through the scanners.
No alarm.
You were confiscated of your weapons and don’t have anything on you besides the wig, and you walk through without any sirens going off.
As you join Hunt's side again, you exhale, not realizing the whole time you were holding your breath.
“How did-”
“Customs, quickly. We’re going to miss our flight,” he says.
He reaches down and interlocks his hand with yours, and you freeze.
Hunt whispers in your ear. “We’re a married couple, remember?”
Realization hits, and you relax slightly, enough to go where he tugs you. At the customs desk, you both force grins and show the bored security agent your flight passes, and out of nowhere, Hunt pulls out two passports, both that match your identities.
You’re not even going to ask where he got a passport printed. Probably more IMF magic.
After successfully passing customs, you’re both walking briskly, hand in hand to the gate. There’s no one waiting except for the gate workers, but the plane is still on the ground. In just under a minute, Hunt scans both of your boarding passes, and you’re on the plane.
The flight attendant when you walk in barely glances at your disheveled getup, oversized clothes, and the obvious fact that you and your “husband” are panting like you just ran a marathon. She smiles politely and points you towards the back of the plane.
You slide into the row and sit, and only then does Hunt let go of your hand. You slump back, finally able to catch your breath. He doesn't relax a single muscle.
“Y/l/n. How did they find us? Was it the chip?”
You tilt your head up and look at the air conditioning controls. “I don’t know for sure. But yes, probably. I must have sent out some signal once I logged in.”
Hunt shakes his head slightly and leans closer to you.
“You said you wrote the encryption, You didn’t think for a second that they’d plant a tripwire on it?”
You narrow your eyes at him. “I didn’t say I wrote all of it. I designed the base structure of the security measures. They must have added the tracking mechanism later. VANTAGE isn’t stupid.”
Ugh. This was so embarrassing. You burrow your face in your hands. “Now they know I’m still alive.”
“What?!” Hunt struggles to keep his voice down.
“I mean, I’m fairly certain they thought I was dead. They sent a kill team to my safe house right after I walked away. I handled it. Scrambled their comms, forged the exit signal. As far as anyone inside VANTAGE knew, mission complete. Rogue asset neutralized.”
You pause, fiddling with the clip of the metal seatbelt.
“I’m sure after I betrayed them they started taking heavy safety precautions, but VANTAGE is everywhere.”
“What are they after?” Hunt asks.
You grimace slightly. “They’re embedding themselves into the global server infrastructure. Quietly hijacking the backbone of our modern life. Military systems, financial networks, power grids, hospitals, even global comms. If they can get control of all the relay servers, they can hold the world hostage.”
He’s silent, listening intently. Guess the IMF didn’t brief him this far. Actually it would be insane if they did. Only you knew of the true plans of VANTAGE because the leader, well. He only told them to you.
“If they get access to the servers, they could threaten a blackout, trigger a financial crash, release sensitive medical and personal data. Creating chaos, and offering their own ‘secure’ systems as the only solution. It would be terrible for the average person. They’d lose all of their data, their documents, their livelihood. For the world, other countries could get access to the other’s military systems. Start wars in the blink of an eye.”
Your eyes glanced nervously at Hunt’s backpack. “You left the chip in the hotel, didn’t you?”
Hunt nods.
“Good. We have all the information we need anyways. Hopefully we’ve lost anyone tracking us for the next bit.”
You let go of your seatbelt buckle and drop your hands into your lap. It was so relieving to finally tell someone what you’ve known, and not have it blow up in your face.
Your eyes met Hunt’s green ones. For a moment, you can see a hint of trust in them. Like he actually believes what you just told him.
He doesn't speak right away. He’s just processing still. The story. What’s at stake. Clearly he just thought his mission was grabbing some arbitrary chip then leaving. He’s in slight disbelief that the person right next to him might be the only good person alive who knows what VANTAGE is planning.
“Marseille,” he finally says.
You raise a brow.
“One of the coordinates. There’s a facility near the docks. Underground. We tracked the other coordinates, two were bogeys and the other two were much further. It’s our next stop.
You nod, thinking of what the facility is going to be like. Total lock down. High security. Almost impossible to get in. You didn’t think you’d make it this far.
“If it’s a relay node,” you say cautiously, “it's bound to be crawling with VANTAGE security.”
Hunt meets your gaze now. “We’ll figure it out.”
“Easier said than done. Hope you have more than just charm and a pistol.”
You swear you see a small grin on his face. You also have had barely any sleep in the last 24 hours.
“You’ll see,” he says.
You roll your eyes, but the smile that creeps onto your face is hard to fight. Maybe it’s adrenaline still coursing through your body, or maybe it’s the feeling of someone actually keeping pace with you. For once, you’re actually feeling… hopeful. Like you don’t have to do this alone.
The plane begins to take off, engines roaring as Prague blurs into motion. You sneak a glance once more at Hunt. He’s focused, jaw tight, most definitely running through an insane plan in his mind.
He notices you looking at him but doesn’t turn his head. All he says is, “get some rest. You’re gonna need it.”
You glance out at the rising sun through the small oval window. Marseille is waiting.
And you’re starting to believe you might actually stand a chance.
Which means VANTAGE is going to try harder to kill you both.

Here is my new pathfinder character, Havel!
Ancestry: Unbreakable Goblin Background: Hunter Class: Ranger Age: 20 Height: 3' 5"
Havel was born into the goblin tribe of Oir, outside the trading town Svetlana. He soon established himself as the black sheep of the very large family, as he was unusually solitary for a goblin, and rather disinterested in most of their antics. He latched on to the hunter's way of life, and specialized. Over the course of his adolescence, he developed skills to not only hunt any and all types of prey found around the settlement but learned to haggle and sell whatever he could hunt or find. Eventually, most of his tribe left for Absalom for better work (most of them being craftsmen) but he stayed behind. After their departure, he focused on selling his catches to the Almir family, a well-off rather large merchant family, becoming friends with one of the sons around his age, Ninel.
One day while hunting around some ancient ruins, destroyed in some forgotten war, he came across a strange metal container that was recently uncovered by some heavy rain. Breaking it open, a brilliant and beautiful crystal of light was revealed, which was sure to fetch a high price. He grabbed it immediately, put it in his leather bag which sat on his hip and rode back to town. He sold it quickly to the Almirs, spinning a tale of how he nicked it from some cave monster's lair. After the family passed it around admiring how the air around it shimmered with blue light, Ninel fashioned it into a necklace for his youngest sister, Flora.
Havel's life went on normally for only a few days, before he began to feel sick. Sweating and loss of taste turned into vomiting blood and extreme pain, with some of his flesh near his hip becoming clay-like in malleability. Managing to get to the local clerics before completely collapsing, he underwent an extremely intensive healing session for the next week. While unable to stay conscious for long periods of time, he did recall seeing some of the Almir family in the same ward, seemingly being treated for the same disease. Eventually, he was able to fully wake up, finding himself still sick but able to move with the help of a crutch (for his hip and right arm were, as he later found out, irreversibly scarred). One of the clerics, seeing him up, told him that one of the high clerics from Absalom had summoned him to the Almir manor.
Upon arriving, he was shocked to find the place surrounded by onlookers, protected by clerics he didn't recognize, while the whole manor was alight with fire. Confronting the high cleric who stood at the gate, tossing in Havel's belongings into the blaze, the arrogant high cleric proceeded to berate Havel. The crystal he found was not a simple light source but an old power source for some lost thaumic weapon. Since breaking open its containment shell, Havel had unwittingly spread magical contamination to himself, his belongings, and all the Almirs. In fact, many of the Almir family, having lived with the crystal for several days, were far more warped and damaged than he was, with Flora passing away from her sickness.
Completely overwhelmed with shame and guilt, Havel ran off into the surrounding woods, keeping his back to the surviving Almirs. He hid for several days in a fugue state, weak in both mind and body. Sensing easy prey, a young and abandoned wolf came to Hazel, who didn't bother to resist, but decided against consuming what he smelled as sick. This snapped Hazel out of his haze, and with a surprising amount of anger and frustration, pounced on the wolf. The two tussled for a while, before both were exhausted, calling a draw. Upset with the wolf's lack of strength and survival skills, on a whim, Havel decided to hunt for the wolf. Over the course of the next two weeks, the pair grew in health and companionship, and Havel named his new friend Crocket.
After resolving his physical ills (though never able to walk without pain again), Havel returned to his unaddressed guilt. Realizing he could never undo the damage he had done, he committed himself to doing his best to help the Almirs as repentance. Upon his return however, they refused to receive him, and all he could do was plead at their place of residence. Since then, he has focused on sending them any excess money he makes, and when he can, go searching for some cleric or doctor skilled enough to heal the injuries of the Almir family. His search for money and talent has brought him to Otari, where he has been working for the last two weeks.
Starting out introverted, his experiences has only made him more odd as a goblin, reserved and quiet. He now exercises the utmost care when dealing with the unknown, often to his detriment. However, when he is comfortable and relaxed (often when interacting with crocket) his more wry and witty side becomes more visible. He also returns to his old energy when he needs to haggle, selling his catches or buying supplies for himself. While a rather scary wolf, Crocket acts more like a large lab dog, full of juvenile vigour and lack of care with his large body.

What's up with Gwyndolin's appearance?
I wonder whether the "Gwyndolin" Aldrich is wearing like sockpuppet is not quite what he looked like at the time of Dark Souls 3, but sort of an amalgam? Notice that Gwyndolin's hair is grey and their skin is bleach white, whereas Aldrich's version has white hair (one of the signs of corruptness by Darkness) and normal human skin tone! Aldrich would be stealing Gwyndolin's look for the time being, but not by 100%, rubbing some of his former appearance in?
Meanwhile, Velka also has bleach white skin; these are not gloves and you can see that on what little of her face is visible too! She could've been Gwyndolin's biological mother on this notion, as well as on the fact that Gwyndolin is doing her job now (directing hunting on the sinners and collecting their ears), and his Darkmoon Blade has light purple particles associated with the Dark when Velka was connected with the Dark herself!
Gwyndolin is related to Yorshka and Priscilla neither of which are daughters of Gwyn so Seath being the shared link is likely, but "parenting" of Seath could also be spiritual rather than physical! So, Moonlight Butterflies, Tark and Najka or Ocelotte also count as his "children". Gwyndolin was raised "as a girl" through aura of the moon which Seath is inherently connected with, so Seath instead could have formed instead strong spiritual link with Gwyndolin? Especially since Gwyndolin is a sorcerer when everyone else amongst the Gods, including Velka, is a miracles-doer!
So, maybe Gwyndolin was also born with affinity to the Moon because it is a thing that can happen? Gods are beings of light, but light is not just fire and sun! It is also moon and stars! Maybe Velka herself was affiliated with moonlight rather than sunlight, guaranteeing her dark (literally and figurally) nature and skin white like full moon? This isn't backed up by anything, but could happen because of multiple forms of what 'light' is in nature!

At the same time, Gwyndolin is depicted on the page behind many spells and on the statues in Dark Souls 3 without the snakes! I am not 100% sure whether statue in Oolacile is meant to be of Gwyndolin or just bears resemblance, after all it isn't as similar as other portrayals! It could be him, since he interacted with the humans more than average God, though makes timeline strange as Oolacile's magic is rather different from Seath's and predates it 🤔
I assumed that since Gwyndolin is said to despise their body, being depicted without snakes could've been a personal request! Or Gwyn trying to hide the fact he slept with the Duke fsdhfghdsgf Serpents in Dark Souls lore are connected with the dragons! For example, serpent people in Sen's Fortress ARE descendants of the dragons, and many of them work for Seath too! At the same time, serpent that descends from a dragon is not something to be proud of, it is evolutionary "fall from grace". Not to mention that in the Gods' panteon, Seath was still an exception on the "virtue" of being a traitor, and many still despised dragons, like Havel and his idiots, or whoever banished Nameless King for allying with them (it had to be Lloyd source: dude trust me). So I can see why Gwyndolin would rather not show this feature around much, or maybe someone else decided to conceal it from history for them! Living within such prejudices could've easily irreparably damaged their self-image.
But, again, under assumption that Seath was using his moon aura to help raising Gwyndolin, maybe snakes AND white skin of Gwyndolin was a side effect of it? So by the times of Dark Souls 3, and when Aldrich consumed him, these "effects" in form of snake legs have worn off!

^^^ Bonus is Gwyndolin's small naturals not being present on body Aldrich has now! Again, not certain whether it is original form of Aldrich acting up from the goop and effecting form of "Gwyndolin", Gwyndolin himself changing over time, or another effect of "being raised as a girl through moon aura" wearing off without constant nourishment!
Personally I am more than okay with interpretation of Gwyndolin, Priscilla and Yorshka (and Shira) being related through Seath biologically, and concealing snakes from history is a result of a lot of internalised prejudices that Gwyndolin would've worked on if he wasn't busy having enough of Lloyd's shit and becoming Allfather and THEN getting sick! So, Velka, being the secretive, "strange" God too, responsible for assassination of sinners, taught Gwyndolin everything she knew before fucking off somewhere! (thinking about it gives me massive Ranni vibes lol) What do you guys think?

Intimidating S.R x FEM! reader

Overture-While you're cataloging a new collection in the archives, a young Spencer Reid wanders down in search of an art print stored in a different archive.
Inspired by the opening of season 2 episode 14 'The Big Game', when Gideon visits the Smithsonian to look at Havell's Audubon paintings. (We're going to pretend this isn't the episode Reid gets kidnapped in) Later piece is inspired by any of the many times prostitutes flirt with Reid throughout the early seasons. I looked at a few maps and online catalogs of the museums current collections to kinda figure out how long it would take to walk there, and what pieces are stored where, but it might not be 100% accurate so don't hold me to it.
Cws- Brief mentions of robbery and prostitution (separate occasions)
A/N- This has been bouncing around my brain like a DVD menu screen, I'm so excited about it. I'm a museum studies major so I'm making this girl live all of my dreams.
Your favorite part of the job by far, was cataloging the new pieces. Whether they were from other museums or private collections, unpacking those boxes let you indulge in a bit of nosiness everytime. This particular collection was from a recently closed exhibit, so you were doing the overnight shift. No one else was in this part of the museum, and your boss was doing a showing of some prints to a collections enthusiast so you had the place to yourself.
You threw on some headphones and got to work, once you finished this you could go home. You’d just cataloged and packed the first half of the pieces, but as you were about to start on the rest, you saw something move out of the corner of your eye. Archives were a slightly creepy place to be at night anyway, the shelves looming over you, and the underground structure providing little light outside of your small workspace, but that was definitely unusual. When you finally turned around, there was a full-on stranger walking towards you. He was about your age, but he definitely didn’t work here, you would’ve remembered
“Jesus! Walk louder! I didn’t hear you come down here.”
“I called out twice to try and see if there was anyone down here.”
“Point taken.” You shrugged it off, you’d never seen him before. He definitely didn’t work here, he was cute and about your age. You’d remember him. You both stood there just kind of looking at each other, not fully sure what would happen next.
“Are you going to like— rob me now? Or maybe introduce yourself?”
“Oh! Sorry, my name's Spencer Reid, I was here with a colleague. He was looking at some ornithology prints upstairs, and he told me to come down to find—well you I assume, and get the last print in the set, and ask for directions to the coffee machine?”
“Sure! Just come over here and I’ll look it up for you.” You set down your clipboard to head back to your little desk, the only one with the lamp still on.
“So, what exactly are you looking for?”
“It’s a Robert Havell, Frigate Pelican.” You typed in the name into your system to make sure, but you knew now why your boss didn’t come to get it himself. It wasn’t in this museum, it was in the archive under the Renwick gallery, almost a mile away.
“Alright, I can be back with it in like an hour, it’s at the gallery on 17th street. This was a split collection and it’s still in that archive. There’s a coffee machine down the hall on your left, and I can meet you back in my boss’s office.”
“An hour? Are you walking this late at night?”
“Yep. But I’ll go as quickly as possible.”
“I can’t in good conscience let you walk that far by yourself this late at night, would it be alright if I came with you?”
“Alright! Only if you want to though, I promise you don’t have to.”
“I want to, if that’s ok.”
“I was hoping you’d say that.” You smiled at him, and while you were grabbing your keys and ID, he went from relieved you said it was ok, to completely red at the idea of being around you alone for the next hour. He was stuck in place as you passed him and got halfway down the hall, before he started running to catch up.
“Where exactly are we going?”
“We need to go up the elevator, through the garden, and then it’s pretty much a straight shot down 15th and through Lafayette park.”
“I thought we could get through the archives?”
“We could, but it would take longer. I get distracted easily, and it’s a nice night out anyway.”
*****
About halfway through your walk, you’d already felt like you knew him. When you were passing through a particularly busy part of the street, someone called out to you. Well not you, they called out to Spencer.
“Hey cutie, you’re back. I told you I’d remember you.” A woman in high heels, a fur coat, and shorts entirely too short for the chilly weather, called out for him. You didn’t place any judgment on her, but the look you gave Spencer. Shock, and trying your best to stifle laughter at his panic.
“Oh–um. Have a good night.” He rushed off, in his haste grabbing your elbow to pull you along with him. Once he’d gotten far enough away for his embarrassment to pare down, he let go of you, realizing with a whole new sense of self-consciousness that he touched you without even thinking about it.
“That was not what it looked like. I swear– I was talking to her with my boss last week, we were doing interviews for a case; and she well– she called me cute, which is what that was about.”
“You don’t need to explain yourself to me. I would tend to agree with her anyway– you are pretty memorable.”
“I– thank you. You’re memorable too.”
You walked the rest of the way with Spencer almost trailing a half step behind you. You were so mesmerizing, he just couldn’t help it.
By the time you finished the walk, arriving at the security booth to get back inside the archives, you already felt like you knew Spencer.
“ID please.” The security guard spared a singular glance towards yours, and you realized you forgot to ask Spencer if he had his on him.
“Oh I forgot they check IDs of any guests coming into the archives, you have your driver's license on you, right? Or any ID is probably fine. I didn’t even think about it.”
While you were rambling about it, Spencer pulled out his credentials, showed it to the guard as if it were nothing. Because he’s a federal agent -apparently- he didn’t need a visitor badge.
“You’re in the FBI?”
“Yes?”
“How on Earth did that never come up on the twenty minute walk here.” You finally got moving again towards the art storage, now trailing alongside Spencer, more focused on him than looking where you were going.
“It did.”
“When?”
“Why did you think I was interviewing a prostitute?”
“I don’t know! I thought you were like– a lawyer or something. You’re so fancy! And nice! And you know– Young!”
“I–you think I’m fancy?”
“You’re wearing a suit with a sweater vest at 9pm on a Saturday night.”
“Fair enough. But no, I'm not a lawyer. I’m glad you think I’m nice though.” It was your turn for your face to heat, and for you to hide your head.
“Of course I think you're nice.”
When you finally found what you were looking for, you started heading back. He told you about some of his interests, but mostly he wanted to know about you. All you wanted to hear about was him though, he was so interesting.
“What do you do for the FBI?”
“Behavioral Analysis”
“Oh my god. Oh if I’d known that I would’ve changed everything I’ve done so far. That’s– I mean that’s so intimidating” And now he was laughing at you.
“I don’t think anyone has ever described me as intimidating. Off-putting and annoying sure, but intimidating is new.”
“You’re very intimidating. I’ve never met a guy who knew that much about historical art without even being in the field before, and now I know you could read my behavior? I must’ve come off like a total idiot like–15 times by now.”
“I don’t think so, quite the opposite actually.”
“Well thank you, but I was making a conscious effort not to make it clear I have a huge crush on you, and then you tell me you could tell anyway?”
“You have a crush on me?”
“Well–yeah. I thought you could tell.”
“Not really.”
“Oh.” It felt like an eternity before he responded.
“I have a crush on you too, for the record.”
“Yeah?”
“Most definitely.”
An older man came out of the building before you could walk back in.
“Reid! Where’d you go? JJ called, we need to leave for the office.”
“Oh–um, I’ll call you? What’s your number?” You checked your lanyard and your pockets as best as you could while holding the flat-packed print.
“I don’t have a pen or anything on me.”
“You can just tell me, I’ll remember it.” After you said your goodbyes he disappeared again, and you went to put away the rest of the collection. Spencer called you the next morning to set up your first date, and though he never stopped amazing you, you wouldn’t describe him as intimidating anymore.

Dark Souls 1 faces references Part 9: Patches, Siegmeyer, Sieglinde, Mildred, Crestfallen Knight, Crestfallen Merchant
Patches
According to Rayan, his hair data is black, and I can honestly believe it seeing how on Demon Souls we did see him with black facial hair (cursed), and in Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring his hair data is also dark! You can sort of tell from what body hair looks like too but personally I write this off as NPC models limitation and ignore it. This man never grew a single body hairling in his entire life.
His eye color appears to be inconsistent; dark green in DS1, greyish green in DS3 and just bright grey in Elden Ring. I suppose this is the spectrum, just as long as it isn't blue or brown?
Siegmeyer
Looks just as goofy as he is supposed to! I like how they did put effort in making him 'smile'!
Sieglinde
I previously assumed that she and her dad would share an eye color, but turns out her brown is also different! It is more amber eyes than it is brown eyes, to think of it...
Mildred
From the 3/4 view, you can see how strong her skulls are supposed to be! I like when characters are still distinct despite creator's limitations like that. And.. yeah, yet ANOTHER person you thought had blue eyes but it is that same shade of greyish-green!
Crestfallen Knight
Crestfallen Merchant
The guy in a nook in outer Sen's Fortress if you've missed him. (I didn't >:3 ) Also the one who is made to artificially look taller than player by his model moved slightly up in invisible collision above the floor level. I suppose I see the intent here and he is supposed to be tall.
____________________________________
So yeah, thanks everyone for dealing with dashboard being bombarded with these checking all of these! This is all of them! I am very happy with them and to learn the truth about eye colors and some extra stuff as someone who wants my fanarts to be accurate!
A little shame that there are no screenshots of exact sliders so characters could be easily recreated in the game to play as, but I say this is still a VERY good start! I remind you that it's been over a DECADE and this is still the very first instance of actually getting proper look at the faces @_@ Maybe some time later? I am also very surprised that nobody still was curious about weird glitch with Grana's model where two models belong to the same NPC.. but who knows, maybe from this point on, someone could finally shed a light on how exactly Fromsoft managed to do THIS?
Again, you need to remember that Dark Souls 1 creator didn't have much room for things like scars, freckles and such compared to later creators, so there are valid things to add as headcanon! However, for some reason, 'male' models have a mole on their left sholder and 'female' models have a mole on their neck by default?

“Václav Havel put it even more forcefully when he said that the only way to fight a culture of lies, whatever form the lies take, is to consciously live the truth instead of merely talking about it. The power of living the truth does not consist in physical strength or threats, "but in the light it casts" on the "pillars [of a mendacious] system and on its unstable foundations."(17)
This was clearly the approach of the first Christians, who refused to pay tribute to the idols of the Roman state and sought instead to build a new life rooted in the truth of the Gospel. We can measure the character we ourselves need by their example.”
-Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, Strangers in a Strange Land: Living the Catholic Faith in a Post-Christian World

@exxay Don’t Get Hit was literally the zeitgeist surrounding Dark Souls 1 with a ton of people insisting the correct way to play the game was to grab the Dark Wood Grain Ring, be on light roll forever, and only build damage afterwards with very specific poise breakpoints. This slowly phased out as more PvPers found that poise and bulk is absolutely silly in DS1 (eventually leading to Giantdad) and that it translated very well into PvE and that, surprise surprise, nothing in this game actually one hit kills you except taking a shotgun of dark magic from the caster enemies in the DLC if you actually have bulk. And even then, it took a bit to truly permeate because a lot of the git gud don’t get hit people were also not at all PvPers so they had this disdain towards bulky builds. We eventually got to Giantdads and Flipping Havels but we absolutely had a period of time of Don’t Get Hit in the game in which you absolutely can get hit a whole bunch assuming you spend a couple of points into the Not Dying To A Single Hit stat.
