after s5 is out and byler is endgame i am gonna PROTEST for finn to get HUNDREDS of awards for all the microexpressions throughout all the seasons which were right under our noses yet some people decided to ignore or just didn't acknowledge
kudos to evan for giving almost every one of his characters an accent (even if it's subtle) like he definitely could've gotten away with just using his regular voice for warren or peter but he doesn't! even jay has a certain cadence of speech that's not a part of the typical canadian accent. i really appreciate it bc i'm big on immersion in media and little stuff like this helps separate the character from the actor playing them (and makes the character feel more authentic too). so when you're watching it makes it a bit easier to not think "oh that's just evan peters in a silver wig" like no that's peter maximoff.
yall I just found out Austin Butler is in the shannara chronicles. Omg. I was obsessed with that show when it came out but I was also 10 or sth so I don't remember it 😭 all I know is I was OBSESSED with Austin's character. Not me rediscovering him after bikeriders this is insane actually
My favorite scenes in Young Royals that showed me Omar's huge acting talent are those with Micke.
it's also the details filmed like this one - for example his nervous fingers wiggling:
Him making faces in the kitchen, bc he doesn't want to make any noise and get caught.
But also it's his voice that Simon tries to keep steady while looking for his fathers medicaments.
The struggle is real and you can feel it.
I was so mindblown hearing it's his first role ever, bc he made Simon a person made of flesh and blood and multidimentional. And he looks like he really knew what to do. But I think it's also thanks to the people on set - Rojda and Lisa who led him. I'm very impressed.
