thinking about the character again (cinderpelt) and it's likely unintentional and a result of either her shifting narrative role from young go getter to wise mentor or a shift in how the books display their own politics but i find something really tragic in-universe in how she develops from a character who will actively and willingly break the warrior code when it conflicts with her own morals (immediately lying to cover for graystripe and silverstream, acting in direct defiance of her leadership to nurse littlecloud and whitethroat back to health) but overtime through her role she gradually grows more god-fearing and pious and embodies somewhat of a "starclan is always right, even when they are cruel, and we need to accept that" position

Starclan cat appearances

I’m not sure if this has been confirmed within the main series but I remember the authors once mentioning that cats appear whenever they were the happiest in there lives when they enter starclan and this has always been interesting to me so here are the appearances I think cats would take on(note that this isn’t intentional but instead self-conscious, so even if it’s a bittersweet moment they were happy nonetheless)

Starting off with the age old question, why is Crookedstars jaw still broken if all injuries are healed in starclan? This coincides with the idea of appearing the happiest.

He was the happiest when he was with Willowbreeze. He had a broken jaw than, and he still does now. He could probably appear without it if he wanted to but simply chooses not to

Yellowfang canonically appears as the cat she was just before she died since her time in Thunderclan was when she was happiest

The wiki says Bluestar appears younger since her childhood was when she was the happiest but I can’t help but disagree. She went through so many loses in her childhood and to pin-point a time where she was truly happy would be hard. Even her kits birth was stressful seeing as she had to hide who the true father was. I’d say she looks how she did specifically when her kits were born which may or may not coincide with canon depending on how you imagine it. But I’d say the one factor that brightened her life would be her kits birth so her appearance would be similar to that specific time period even if it’s a broad one

Tallstar appears as a younger cat, the cat he was the first day he met Jake. I’d say this goes for Ravenpaw as well considering both relationships were outside of their clan. While Ravenpaw stayed with Barley Tallstar didn’t stay with Jake, so he cherishes the time they spent together while Ravenpaw simply cherishes the long life they spent together and the first day he realized he was saved from Thunderclan and met with the cat he would spend the rest of his life with

Alright so you’re telling me that Frostfur’s canon description is a white she-cat with blue eyes, which is also the canon description of Snowfur, the late sister of Bluefur, who was Frostfur’s mentor, and that Frostfur was given the -fur suffix which her mentor and also her mentor’s late sister share, and there was like. Never anything about that???

There was no inner turmoil with Bluefur over teaching and watching this young cat grow up who reminds her just a little bit of the sister she lost and she struggles with wanting to shut down to avoid the pain but knowing it’s her duty as a mentor to give Frostpaw a good start in life?? Absolutely nothing about the two learning to work together as mentor and apprentice and forming a bond so that when Frostfur does receive her warrior name it’s symbolic of Frostfur becoming part of Bluefur’s chosen family and Bluefur learning that the cats she loves are not dead and gone, but all around her in Thunderclan????

Also, also.. NOTHING at all about the fact that Frostpaw’s sister, Brindlepaw, was mentored by Bluefur’s mostly absent father Stormtail and the two of them having to interact while training their apprentices together!!!??!! No confrontations about Stormtail’s behaviour?! No struggling to set aside your resentment and/or awkward feelings for the sake of your apprentice?? the conflict to drive the plot was RIGHT THERE fellas.......

i was wondering why people were making it out to be such a huge thing that alastor is aroace canonically....and then i tried to think of literally any other character i've seen that's canonically aro or ace....yeah i'm coming up empty 😍

Rustfire AU

This au is about Rustfire(Fireheart) being the kit of Spottedleaf and sibling to Icekit(scourge) and Leafkit(Princess) with their father being some rouge who was killed by Tigerstrike in front of little Rustkit. Rustpaw's siblings left the clan because of the constant shunning and bullying from their clanmates because of being medince cat kits, leaving Rustpaw all alone. In his mother's dying moments she mutters "Fire alone will save our clan." Rustpaw was named Rustfire for his defensive nature like a scorching fire. When he finds about Bluestar's secret kits in Riverclan, he becomes closer to Bluestar though this doesn't last long... Will become the great warrior he was destined to be or will he go down on unwinding path full of bloodshed and murder?

If you’re still doing these could we see what genetically accurate Morningflower would be? I don’t know if you’ll take the liberties and disregard the recent retcon that she, Ashfoot and onestar are siblings (terrible horrible not thought out bc now breezepelt and Heathertail are first cousins, for no reason at all) but if you do I agree. That is horrific. If you don’t then good luck 🫡

I don't disregard any familiar relationship from the books (except maybe if there are contradictory statements), just those said only on blogs, the warriors website and such. I haven't read Onestar's Confession yet, but if it explicitly says they are littermates, then i'll make my family tree accordingly.

Morningflower. All right. She is tortoiseshell-and-white in canon, and i admit, this is the first time i'm thinking about her color. Maybe i'll change my mind, and make her simply a black tabby bicolor, but now I'm leaning toward black tortoiseshell tabby bicolor, which would also make her mother Wrenflight a tortie tabby bicolor, and Palebird a black tortie harlequin. (Poor Wrenflight, I'm really abusing her "brown" description...) A nice byproduct of this is that it makes red tabby Finchkit possible. Well, red tabby and white.

Heathertail and Breezepelt are not first cousins by the way; none of their parents (Onestar, Whitetail; Crowfeather, Nightcloud) are siblings. I'm not sure if the actual situation is better or worse tho, because they are both descendants of both Wrenflight&Stagleap and Meadowslip&Hickorynose:

Warrior Cats headcanons

Firestar is a munchkin-maine coon mix (The maincoon did nothing for him, he’s just a fluffy cat with the physique of a baked bean). He is the itty-bittiest warrior in camp. The only grown cat he knows that’s smaller than him was Scourge.

Squilf got ALL the Firestar genes (it’s why her legs are so short) and Leafpool got all the Sandstorm genes, she’s all sleek and lanky standing next to Shortstack Squirrelflight Mgee. She’s still taller than Firestar mf is shrimp sized

When a leader is given their lives I imagine it’s such an excruciating process they receive a wound from it, and it results in a star shaped scar somewhere on their body. This is how Bluestar got her shoulder scar. Firestar’s is on his chest, stretching onto his throat, but he has too much neck fluff you can’t see it.

Medicine cats and leaders pupil’s are altered to resemble constellations, a mark of their bond with Starclan.

Sandstorm has some windclan in her from a forgotten/unknown affair from some point in her ancestry. Not enough to make much of a difference, but she is decently lankier than her clanmates.

Bluestar is absurdly big. Not the tallest cat around, but almost Tigerstar height. On that, Mothwing is taller than Tigerstar I think she deserves to be Huge. She is perfect and can do no wrong.

Cinderpelt has central heterochromia, her eyes are blue and orange in the middle. She also has ginger spots that resemble freckles :)

The reason Shadowclan eats frogs, lizards, etc, is because of their surplus of cats, from their endurance to sickness and weather. No time to be picky when you have like 70 cats to feed.
