The Octavia Dilemma: Resolved

I really hate admitting when I am wrong, but I think I finally figured out why Octavia is upset and I can properly somewhat empathize with her and why she is mad at Stolas.

Surprisingly I am glad I can finally get her more.

So- lets assume Octavia saw the entire trial.

What did Octavia JUST witness?

Stolas admitted to a crime. Stolas openly and pridefully took on the roll of "villain". Therefore, Via witnessed her father bragging about and claiming his part in the crime.

Therefore- whatever view she had of Stolas before was completely shattered in that moment.

Octavia sees her father as not just a personal traitor, but a traitor to their entire bloodline. Therefore, while I don't think it's fair, she has every right to be upset.

Stolas betrayed their family name, their legacy, for- his own pride? His own whims?

As much as I- will continue to defend Stolas's honor, I can say I get where Octavia may be coming from.

Do I fully agree? No.

Do I understand? Yes.

I could be wrong, but if she witnessed the entirety of Mastermind, without the context that Blitz may have died- she may have seen her father just be a cocky motherfucker on screen for all of Hell to see.

Then using that to- in a sense leave her and his duties to pursue Blitz.

Kinda stings when you think about it.
