I know people really REALLY want Mother 1 plushies, and i think Teddy plush would go HARD but
If Runaway Five can make it to become plushies, can we PLEASE also get Tony plush too? 🥺🥺🥺
Tumblr media
Jeff plush needs a company, c'mon guys
Also i noticed that all plushies have to come with someone else in a pack, so if this is a requirement, you might as alongside Tony throw Dr Andonuts + Bubble Monkey, and call it "Jeff's faves" special set

Ranting about Bujo/Journaling things, and being a stationary addict and contemplating what I want to use:
So, I’ve been thinking a lot about journaling, and how I journal, and how I want to journal, and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about how I do like having an a5 size journal, it’s just that I can’t find one that lasts me the perfect timeframe, which is three months, I can find ones that last me two, I can find ones that last me five or six, but I can’t find one that lasts me three months. And then I decide that having left over paper in the back of my journal is not a big deal, so I’m just going with my favorite journal, the a5 leuchtturm1917 (which lasts about 4-5 and sometimes three depending on what exactly I’m journaling about how fast I am journaling). So I think that will be good.
But now I’m debating if I want to continue bujo into next year. I have been using a bujo for the last year and a half (different ones of course) and I’ve been testing what works for me, and shuffling my system around different notebooks, and I have finally found one that works pretty well for me, which is a field notes notebook. It lasts me two months perfectly, which means I’d only need two packs of them for next year, and I love using them, and the thought of having a little rubber banded stack of them at the end of the year sounds so nice!!
But. I am sort of in love with the idea of a Hobonichi Cousin A5 for next year. Just the idea of having this planning space and a page for the day to record little things, like a playlist for the day, or if I was reading something, or even if it’s just nothing and then I go back and log a bujo style collection on the page. It’s so appealing to me and my adhd creature brain, that loves journaling and keeping things, like shiny rocks.
But do I need all that space?? I’m gonna be in an a5 journal for at least awhile, and I’ll have all the space in there for things like that really…..
But also I don’t hate the idea of copying multiple lists and info over again into a different journal, and the idea of having a space that has the things I selected from over the year in it also sounds really appealing…..
BUT!! Then I don’t get the rubber band stack of field notes….
I think I’m leaning toward the Hobonichi right now, mostly cause I also want to be able to use my fountains pens in it, and field notes don’t take the ink well, it bleeds and feathers badly all the time, and I just use it cause I don’t want to carry two pens constantly.
Ugh. I am……. Conflicted.

been looking at the travelers notebooks on the journal shop but im so confused about what each one is - is there a guide like with hobonichi?
do you mean the covers or the booklets?
the covers come in two sizes- standard and passport. the dimensions for these can be found online. the booklets made by the travelers company are numbered according to what they are, any listings online should have the information in the title and or/description. the dated planner booklets are very minimally laid out, from what i understand. i think there’s a vertical weekly booklet, a horizontal weekly booklet, and a calendar booklet. then additional booklets like grid paper, dot paper, sticker release paper, envelopes, etc
you might be able to find a guide by searching around for something like “travelers company guide” or “travelers notebook breakdown”

Hey friends (ADHD and otherwise) if you are wanting to try out a paper planner but are like "ah fuck it's already February there's no point I would be starting behind and it would drive my brain nuts" I have EXCELLENT NEWS!
While many American planner companies publish planners that begin in January and then a version that begins in August/September, Japanese companies typically release January planners and then April start planners!!
My favorite planner company overall is the Hobonichi, and they dropped the April start releases at the beginning of the month. Hobonichi last year finally expanded to offering (I think all??) of their planner options in English, if having Japanese is too distracting for you for whatever reason. (I personally never had a problem, the calendar dates are still numbers and the quotes at the bottoms of pages were unobtrusive to me and easy to ignore. But having them in English translation is fun!).
Their smallest and cheapest option is the Hobonichi Weeks size, and there are tons of sellers (including hobonichi themselves) who sell cases that double as a wallet. If you buy an April start I believe it will also include the Feb weeks to gradually transition in.

Cozy morning journaling in my Hobonichi 5 Year Techo with my new fountain pen ink from Ferris Wheel Press. 🥰
Workshop Wishes was just released today. It’s a gorgeous, deeply shading, silver shimmer soft brown that compliments my feminine vintage aesthetic perfectly. I’m just sad it only comes in a 20ml bottle. It’s far too perfect for vintage spreads, subtle writing to decorate your journals, and secretly slipping one another love notes. 💌
I recommend you ink this up in your wettest pens for maximum enjoyment.
Use code EGGBUNNI with your purchase and get 10% off your order! 🤎💛

9. best month for you this year?
the latter half of this year was a total mess honestly so i'd say march or april... probably april bc i was working on a group comm at the time that was my first big work project and feeling very proud and motivated and my health was relatively alright
19. what're you excited about for next year?
umm tbh. raising my commission prices! i need more livable wages lol it's been hard. also this is super minor but the mushi-shi nendoroid that's getting released in march.... and i'm also a little excited to go back to using a hobonichi planner. very small stuff i know but i'm wary of setting up bigger expectations
end of the year asks!

Alright, I'm awake. I found the document I was talking about. Here's how I personally determine what is 'canon' or not and who wins in the case of a conflict. I made a few edits since, but here how I see it.
The Games Themselves (The original Japanese releases get a slight preference in my eyes due to being what was originally intended, but they are similar enough to be in the same tier.)
Statements/other media made by Itoi (Includes interviews, Mother Encylopedia, Hobonichi contents, and all that jazz. I think I'll also file "instruction manuals" and the art within here, but slightly lower because I know that the US EB manual has some minor errors. Again, Japanese manuals take a slight priority.)
Statements made by other staff members (like the translators for example)
Nintendo in general (Includes Super Smash Brothers and official websites not made by Itoi himself. They are a tier lower because from personal experience, I know Smash has been wrong before.)
Licensed side material (The novelizations, guidebooks, etc. These tend to be the most out there. Only use to fill in blanks no one else did.)
Items at the top of the list are those I deem to have a higher canonicity. If there is ever a conflict between statements, however, the one of a higher level wins by default. This is how I personally settle canonicity conflicts. Hope this helps someone else out in knowing how I determine stuff as 'canon' or not!

learning a lesson on consistency and academic commitment right now. i need to pass this semester (finish a degree) without freaking out about the immediate next step. meanwhile, trying to prepare for the next year by looking at the hobonichi releases. hobonichi weeks did a great job in 2023, so i'm sticking to that. might show some pages that i find the most appealing here!

sorry for journalposting but I'm already having so much fun in new journal...!
Already dreading writing entries at the end of the year, since 2022 journal got so chunky it became a pain to write on the fuller side of the entries...hobonichi released a hardcover A6 at the end of last year and I might get one of those for 2024, depending on testimonials from other people like me that like to go ham on pasting things and stickers in there, which is Exciting ^_^

#Dungeon23
Started by Sean McCoy, one of the guys behind Mothership.
The idea is to create one dungeon room a day, organized into one dungeon level a month, and end up with a megadungeon by the end of 2023. I think most of the wider #Dungeon23 talk is happening on Twitter, but because Twitter is a vile pit of corruption that upsets my humors, I'll be posting here.
I do actually run a game for several of my followers, who can rest assured that there won't be any spoilers for that game in this project. At most I'll steal bits and pieces and recycle them into any games I play in the future, maybe an element as big as a whole room.
Initial details for my #Dungeon23 below the thing.
I've got a shiny new planner - a Hobonichi Techno Weeks, the kind Sean is using because I've been into stationery brands for the past few years. It arrived in the mail a few days ago and it was so nice I was tempted to scrap the project and use it as a planner as intended, but I played a lot of Dungeon Keeper at an impressionable age and will take any excuse to imagine a hostile underground space. Like the song says, I'd rather kick it in the dungeon cuz I'm that kind of beast.
The planner actually starts five weeks before January, which gives me five sub-levels or minor dungeons connected in some way with the main one, once I figure out what's actually going on in the megadungeon. The dungeon itself is unnamed and has no overarching theme so far, I may have to give it a few months before something becomes apparent to me. But that seems to be the original spirit of the thing - just focus on getting one room out a day, the rest can come later.
I'll be using a combination of OSRIC and Old School Essentials (SRD) as well as whatever else strikes my fancy to populate the place.
I'll make one reblog chain a month here to keep posting my weekly progress, to be updated on Mondays. The plan is to also provide commentary to expose some of my thought process behind the design.
A proper update will appear at some point on Monday 8/1 but here's where I'm at so far (commentary will also wait until Monday).
Tumblr media
Allow me to transcribe my awful handwriting:
2/1: 7 goblins @ a, loudly arguing over division of loot from robbed merchant. 3' high table @ b, originally for tributes, stone. Statues of previous monarchs.
3/1: Set of chimes @ a, can be heard in 2/1 when played.
4/1: Pressure plates @ a release blades ~2' up walls. Old bloodstains on floor.
5/1: The Bejeweled Chimes of Lubliani - valuable, but need to be disassembled to be moved. Can be heard in 6/1. Portion of southern wall pivots - secret door.
