The way I was so 👀👀👀 over the possibility of Crash and Learn being a Buck Actually redux, but then it wasn’t…because Buck wasn’t ready to unpack all of the different things he needed to sort through about his love life, he had to start smaller…but now we’re getting Death and Taxes and what looks like Buck and Eddie watching over an old man’s dying wife, after Eddie has lost one spouse and just almost lost Buck (and did for three minutes and 17 seconds), at a time when Buck is so close to getting it? When he has all the tools and just needs to put the pieces together? The idea that we could return NOW to “you don’t find it, son, you make it” and the first time we see Buck really start “misunderstanding the assignment” in an episode written by Taylor Wong…*Jenny Slate NASA scream*

Imagine playing footsie underneath the table while also playing cards with Solomon.

It starts with him trying to distract you as you make your play or as you pick your cards. His foot barely brushes against your own, lingering for just a moment. You raise an eyebrow at him and he acts innocent, waving it off as if it was an accident while grinning at you.

As time goes on, he amps up the poking and teasing, while also being sneaky and strategic. Solomon watches you intently as you scan through the cards you hold close to your body, somehow knowing when you have a good play or a good strategy. So each time you make a move, he does as well - with his feet.

After the nth time of feeling his foot on yours, you retaliate, pulling your foot back to give him a light jab, but kicking a little harder than you expected right into his shin. He topples onto the table as he winces in slight pain and holds his sore leg.

Whoops.

For the rest of the evening, you both make sure your movements are light taps and pokes, not full on kicks to avoid similar situations. And Solomon can’t help but chuckle each time he feels your foot touch his, amused by your antics that now match his own and feeling a glimmer of joy and contentment from just being near you.
