Seeing the current state of the Minecraft Story Mode fandom has really given me perspective of just how long I’ve been in the fandom. I first discovered the game in 2015, shortly after it came out via. Stacyplays’ Minecraft Story Mode series. I didn’t engage in the fandom at the time since I was 8 at the time. I officially joined the MCSM fandom in October of 2021 and posted my first MCSM video on my TikTok on the date 2021-10-10. It is now March 8, 2025, so I’ve been in this fandom for roughly 4 years (sometimes I would fall out of interest in the game and would stop posting videos for a short time until my passion for the game would randomly rekindle). Essentially, I’ve been in the fandom for longer than most people and have seen A LOT of drama, ranging from popular artists that were adults talking to minors to the downfall of every popular MCSM server. I’ve seen everything. 4 years have passed, many influential Minecraft Story Mode content creators from 2021-2023 have became disinterested from the game and left, as well as a lot of veterans of the fandom. The fandom was relatively small from 2021-2022. But as years pass, more people are bound to discover the game for the first time and join the fandom. The arrival of new people joining the fandom has completely shifted the energy of the fandom, making it more toxic. I’m not saying all new MCSM fans are freaks; however, I’ve met more weirdos than I have normal people. The current state of the fandom baffles me, as it has become filled with a large influx of weird and frankly toxic people that cause issues in the fandom. It seems like finding normal MCSM fans that are new to the fandom is impossible, and I feel very privileged that I’m in a group with amazing MCSM fans and wonderful mutuals, which seems very far and few in between to find in the current state of the fandom. I don’t want to sound like an oldie, but back in in 2021-2022 when my interest for the game rekindled and I officially joined the fandom and interacted with its members, it was a much more peaceful and tight-knit community with no drama, especially compared to the state the fandom is in today.
Guess I kind of predicted the future, aye?
Minecraft Story Mode fandom and members from 2021-2022, please come back because I miss you dearly.

Words cannot possibly describe how important and special the Dream SMP is to me. I was introduced to the Dream SMP in spring of 2021 by a childhood friend. If you told me 4 years ago that one Technoblade quote in the roblox bio of someone I met in elementary school would change my life forever, I don’t know what I would have thought. That Minecraft server was there for me in one of the most difficult times of my life. When everything was so uncertain and the world felt so awful the Dream SMP gave me something to make me happy.
I don’t think I have ever enjoyed something as much as DSMP and I doubt I will ever enjoy something this much again. Despite every night that I sobbed over cc!Wilbur’s Reddit posts about ghostbur’s limbo, all the sleep I lost trying and failing to be there for lore, every embarrassing thing I do in this fandom, I will never grow to think this was a waste of time or something to be ashamed of.
I see so many people talking about how, despite their love of DSMP, they would never want to go back to that time but i would give anything to go back. I would give anything to see those streams live, to have my name in those chats, to be there for the start of it all. I love this story, these characters, and this fandom so much. No matter how messy things got, no matter how bad the creators are, no matter how toxic the fandom can be I don’t think I will ever be able to leave this behind.
I want to thank everyone involved in the making of DSMP, even the problematic ones, for being such a big part of my life. I also want to thank this fandom for validating my interests and never making me feel alone. Here’s hoping that at least some of you will still be here for years to come. And if not, that’s ok, because I’ll still be here. I’ll still be here because I genuinely love this. I love drawing the bursonas, rewatching streams, writing aus, and talking about my favorite characters. Nothing will ever change that.
Most of all, Thank you Jack Manifold, for letting me feel what it was like to be a fan of Dream SMP when it was going on for one last time.

I watched Jacks stream oh my gosh...
I thought I could handle a Dsmp stream in 2024 but nope. just- that felt SO much like just a stream that would happen in like 2021. the wandering around falling into random creeper holes, chat telling jack to get philza to help him, and to find michael, the mobs interrupting and how unplanned it all was. unscripted lore my beloved forever and ever.
the way that it's like in tommy and jacks conversation- they're talking about things in character that also relates to (presumably) their feelings in real life. just gosh...
when jack and tommy said their goodbyes and jack looked back at technos house to see the sun rising- like its so perfect in a way that the incidental roleplay always was. Like in the way I know I'm reading into it but it still works and it feels like real life when something happens and you find yourself in that moment and life looks almost like a movie- everything in it's proper place for the scene- but it's all just coincidence. the sun didn't rise because a writer wrote that it would. the sun just rises and falls and the conversation just happens to end at that exact moment.
idk just- I really felt it. It captured the feeling of peak dreamsmp that I've missed so much.
I don't even have a problem with nuke ending personally I think it's perfectly fine as an ending. How I've always seen it is: Everyones been hurt by everyone and violence begets violence so the great final act is nukes that will kill everyone that have all ready been launched so it can't be taken back. Then in the prison tommy sees the early parts of the server through Dreams pov and sees the good that was there at the start and how much that has been corrupted since and he wants that simplicity again (he and dream were even friends at one point) before everything went terrible for everyone. Dream turns his back on his plan that he's been building up to for so long cause what he really wants is the same thing as tommy. for things to be simple like at the start. but it's too late- its too far gone. the nukes have already been launched there's no going back. just the hope that maybe in another world things could've been different.
(also the added context of nuke ending being an elaborate character/relationship/map reset to setup a season 2 that never happened.)
So there's my nuke ending defense lol. I know it wasn't very popular with a vast amount of people and that's okay too.
I think ending something like dsmp was never gonna be easy or satisfy everybody, with how many individual povs there are and storylines. I always expected there to be things left unfinished. (unfinished symphony ;) Even if that's pretty unsatisfying for us viewers. (there's a particular stream I really wish had happened with foolish, dream, and eret)
idk there's a post I always remember when thinking about the ending that was like: "Maybe they couldn't write a happier ending at that time in their lives." (super paraphrasing) obviously talking about techno's passing. it's a bit assumptive but the CC's have talked publicly about how much that has affected them (of course it did). With something like that I imagine giving your minecraft server/roleplay character a happy ending is the last thing on your mind.
Todays stream felt like grief and nostalgia and complicated feelings for a time that has passed but still left it's marks on you:
“are you happier?” “I'm getting there”
like, that just says it all.
#dreamsmp#jack manifold#tommyinnit#dreamsmp finale#I don't really make my own posts on here- especially not like this (giving my thoughts/opinions on stuff lol) I made this acc to-#-look at and reblog dsmp posts and fanart. To see ppl on my dash lore posting the daily streams- it was truly a time.#please excuse my dsmp nuke ending analysis- I'm sure it reads a bit clumsy it isn't really something I have ever written before.#lore discourse in this fandom has always been kinda terrible so I never wrote out my thoughts on the ending when it happened#so it was nice to finally do so ^_^#this entire post was written very stream of thought#anyways the dreamsmp will always be something that I love! Thinking about it and these streams and these characters has brought me so much-#-happiness. (and gave me something to do during the pandemic lol)#part of my missing the dsmp is just how all these creators would talk with each other all the time end up on each others streams and collab#-but when it ended it felt like they all just went their own way. I get that people drift away and stuff thats pretty normal.#I guess with how long dsmp went for I just didn't expect it.#(obviously so much has happened between the dsmp ending and to now irt the ccs and everything. idk I just didn't expect that dsmp would be-#-the last place so many of them would ever interact publicly again. I expected to be able to watch them on other servers or collabs)#but such is life#okay- time to never post again for a year! byeee#text post#long post#pizzainator post

Haikyuu Headcannons !!
Are they invested in the Dream Crashout?
Contains: Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima, Tanaka, Noya, Daichi, Suga, Kenma, Ushijima, Tendou, Kita, Atsumu, and Suna
Hinata:
Yes. He didn't watch them during their peak, so he doesn't quite understand how this is crashout was like a powder keg getting ready to burst and it finally did. He watches them now, though, and is a current Tommy, Jack, and Ranboo viewer. He doesn't really know who Dream and the rest of them are. Definitely talks about it during practice.
Kageyama:
Not really. He's just sort of nosy. Curious as to what possessed Dream to insert himself into the conversation when he didn't need to. He doesn't have Twitter, so the only updates he gets are through Hinata during practice.
Tsukishima:
He's quite invested in all of this. But that only concerns himself and God. He watched their streams during the peak, knew quite a bit about all of the lore. He's been irked at all the things coming out about them(*cough cough* Wilbur *cough cough*) but he was a firm Dream Anti. Most of his social media is saying 'I told you so.' He saw this day coming for quite some time.
Tanaka:
Tanaka is also a nosy guy. He overhears Hinata and Noya talking about it during practice one day and deciceds to search it up. He doesn't know who Dream or Tommyinnit are, but he is LOVING the twitter drama coming out of it right now.
"Wait, Noya, is this the guy you tried to get me and Asahi to copy?"
"...no"
Noya:
A regular DSMP viewer. Some may even call him a stan at certain points. Used and interacted with them and the fandom on Twitter quite often. He knows this beef back and forth, down to the letter. He can give a timeline graph of traces of this from 2021 and how it's all reached this point. He and Hinata exchange theories about what's going on, who Dream really is, if he was sober or not during the stream.
Side headcannon: During 2020, Noya definitely tried to convince Tanaka and Asahi to play minecraft manhunt with him. It didn't go very well because Asahi was scared of the caves and Nether for them to get very far.
Daichi:
No. This man is a chronically offline king. The only thing of importance that he knows about this drama is that he has grown to hate both parties. Hinata and Noya interupt practice talking about it so much it's driven him to this point.
Suga:
Sort of. He's been overhearing Hinata and Noya talk about it for weeks, so one night he searches it up and it didn't go any further than that. It was obviously not his scene, but maybe if he was younger.
However, in an alternate universe, I could totally see middleschool Sugawara being a Tommyinnit fan. After all, where do you think he got all of his chaos from?
Kenma:
Absolutely. He was a DSMP stan during their peak years and even now occasionally checks in on all of them. He followed everyone's Twitters and had notifications ON. Sometimes he would wake up really early before school to catch streams and play video games. He had so many channel points. At one point, he applied to be a discord mod for multiple Discord servers of theirs. He never got the role, though. He even credits some of them as his inspiration for streaming.
He's definitely invested and even saw this coming in a sense. After the DSMP ended and the whole USMP vs QSMP thing, he knew what was bound to happen.
Ushijima:
Who are kidding here? Definitely not. This man's head is empty, only room for volleyball and academics.
You ask him about the Dream Crashout and his response is:
"What's a crashout and what does it have to do with my dreams?...what do you mean Twitter?"
Tendou:
He's invested, but not in the same way. He doesn't know nor care who these people are. He checked the trending tab on Twitter and realised it was drama and had to know everything about it. Probably owns the second funniest reply to the tweet, with the first belonging to Kenma.
Kita:
Definitely not. The only Twitter this man knows is the sound birds make. However, with the amount Atsumu goes on about it during practice, he's gotten pretty annoyed with it all.
Atsumu:
100000% yes. The memes would be what drew him in, but he stayed because of the crashout. Discovers Tommyinnit is the funniest person ever. Follows him imedietly afterwards. "Partially because I played the villain on the SMP" enters his regular vocabulary. Kita, Osamu, and the entire team(save for Suna) hate him. He doesn't care. His hundreds of Twitter followers he got from posting memes will love him. Dream's Crashout was the best thing to ever happen to this man.
Suna:
He doesn't care, but he finds it funny to interact. Lives for the drama. Knows the just of the drama to make sure he can dig up accurate deleted screenshots of tweets or even DMs. He enjoys posting online but isn't invested in the actual crashout at all. Makes a few memes, though.

I wasn't there. I haven't got on Twitch for years and I never did watch VODS. Ever since Techno died I just read about what happened and tried to distract my self honestly. And I just found out cause I was looking at my friend's feed haha. Never would have expected Jack Manifold and Tommyinnit to hop in the dsmp server for one last time. God it hurts. I just spent the last hour looking at TikTok and getting back on my Twitch Account. It's just. Surreal, like wow. So many people are joking about how they're back in the building and all. But here I am thinking and realizing that I never left. I'd check on AO3 every week, glance at tumblr everyday and... It hurts. I see a lot of people comparing C!Tommy's reaction like how your Minecraft dog would react when you get back in your world and I'm just here finding out-
Oh. That's me. I'm the dog in this situation. And it's not like I haven't moved on. I did, I accepted the fact that it was over, that it was done. Doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt like a wound I let fester. It's like the years I spend in that fandom materialized itself like a gaping scar in my heart.
I remember the start of the fandom on Ao3. I read the first fic to be published and read everything else since. Truthfully, I had focused on Tommyinnit's lore but I was really obsessed with their unforgettable improv.
And now I'm rambling. I'd always stay quiet on every other topic except for this one. Just wow. "Getting there" Huh. I can't deny that it also kinda sucked, but it was so exhilarating back then. Hundreds of fan arts posted everyday on each platform, I'd wade through fanfiction like a joyful fish leaping along the stream.
It was the moment. It was amazing and it was mine. That era gave me good and bad memories I still cherish. And with the confusion on what the end to that era really was,
I'm really glad Jack streamed that day.
I was busy with college then, in 2020-2021 I would've thrown everything aside to watch it immediately. But times have changed, we all grew up.
I don't know where I'm going with this actually. I guess I just wanted to write down how I felt. Without knowing how to out my feelings into words haha. This is a mess, and those times were a mess too.
But sometimes, in a moments coincidence. Just like how the sun was just right as C!Jack looked back at C!Techno's house. That era felt so beautiful too.
Despite all my wishes of what I could've done back then. There's nothing I could do to change it. Just live on I guess. Despite everything, were still here. And I really hope we'll get there too.
Somehow. We will.

Hi!! This is a really dumb question, and you 100% don't have to answer it, but I keep seeing your reblogs of dsmp - what is it? What's it about? How had it taken a hold of your soul and what do you take from it?
oh mouse. you have opened the floodgates.
so basically dsmp (aka dream smp but i don’t call it that anymore bc the content creator dream, who the server is named after, is a terrible person. which is a whole other can of worms i won’t get into) is a survival multiplayer (hence SMP) minecraft server that tells a story via improvised roleplay. it ran from april 2020 - april 2023 and grew from 4 members on the first day to 39 members by the end. it also featured a handful of guests including, i kid you not, michael clifford from 5 seconds of summer and lil nas x. the story was primarily distributed via livestreams on youtube and twitch, though some members and fans created highlight videos on youtube.
how do i explain what dsmp is about? overall, it’s a heavily character-driven story with many different factions, wars, and eras. each member essentially wrote their own story, and fans could pick whose POV they were most interested in and follow along with whatever lore was created. (at one point there was a head writer who, surprise surprise, also turned out to be a terrible person. are you sensing the pattern here?) so honestly the answer to “what is the dsmp about?” is different depending on which members/characters you choose to pay attention to.
i got interested in the server in early 2021 when someone i followed on tumblr for a completely unrelated fandom started posting about it (which is how i get into most new interests these days lol). i looked up some clips on youtube and discovered the content creator tommyinnit via an among us gameplay video. i thought he was really funny and checked out his channel. the first video of his i watched was “the funniest minecraft video ever,” which was edited from one of his dsmp streams where he and two other members created a religion based on twitch prime subscriptions. it’s ridiculous and still makes me laugh to this day. so after that i decided i wanted to know what this minecraft server was all about. i found VODs (archived livestream recordings) of the big events on the server and watched as many as i could. honestly i had to skip around a lot because there was simply too much content to catch up on, and a lot of members didn’t save their VODs. that was another reason i tended to follow tommy’s POV, he uploaded all of his twitch VODs to a separate youtube channel. he also streamed less frequently and for shorter time periods than most of the members so it was a more manageable amount of stuff to watch. after i got decently caught up, i started tuning in for the dsmp streams live. and boy oh boy did i become obsessed. spring of 2021 i was a junior in college and i hardly left my apartment because of covid restrictions. i was incredibly bored and developing depression (which i would not realize until i went to therapy that summer and got referred to a psychiatrist for diagnosis. but i digress). dsmp was genuinely the only thing that got me excited anymore.
spring-summer 2021 was honestly a golden age for dsmp fans because so much lore was happening at such a rapid pace and it was EXHILIRATING. the fandom would churn out analysis, fanfics, art, animatics, and even original songs at the speed of light. everyone would liveblog during big lore events and it was just such a fun community to be a part of, even though i mainly lurked on tumblr back then. the source material was nothing but minecraft blocks and webcams, so i think it really allowed the fans’ creativity to flow. the fans truly carried that server, particularly SAD-ist’s animatics on youtube and derivakat’s fan songs, though my favorite song was beetlebug’s “an ode to l’manburg.”
so you’re probably wondering: what the heck is l’manburg? so this gets into what i think truly made the server worth investing in, which was the storytelling. “l’manburg” was a fictional country created on the dsmp server. it actually started out as a van used to sell “drugs” (aka minecraft potions), created by c!tommy and c!wilbur (c! = character, to differentiate between roleplay and the actual content creators). basically wilbur wanted to roleplay breaking bad lol. a bunch of the other server members cracked down on this “illegal” business, so c!wilbur decided to form his own country on the land surrounding the van (now a hot dog van), declaring independence from the greater SMP so citizens would be free to do what they want. he called it l’manburg because it “sounded european,” and all of the citizens at the time were european while those still loyal to the greater SMP were mostly american. the citizens of l’manburg at the time were c!wilbur, c!tommy, c!tubbo, c!fundy, and c!eret. the greater SMP didn’t take kindly to this new country’s existence, so c!dream issued a declaration of war, and thus began the l’manburg war for independence, which was really an excuse to do hamilton roleplay (yes, it’s all very silly but i love it. it gets much more serious later on). anyway i don’t want to say much more in case you decide to give it a watch, but if you do good luck. i would recommend blueberry tv on youtube, who does a great job condensing the most important moments into 20ish minute episodes. they have a playlist called “dream smp plot playlist” which is a good place to start.
okay now i’m taking this opportunity to gush a little about c!tommy, one of my favorite characters in anything ever. he starts out as a loud, funny, slightly annoying, mean-to-your-face but kind-at-heart sixteen year old kid, and by the end he’s eighteen, he’s literally been to hell and back, he’s a little quieter, a bit jaded, and doesn’t easily trust others or even his own mind. but even after everything he goes through, he still tries to believe the best in people and stubbornly holds onto hope that things will get better. he’s incredibly loyal to his friends. he loves things that most people would overlook and he loves them hard. he communicates his feelings in convoluted metaphors that are accidentally poetic. he constantly listens to music, probably has an unhealthy attachment to it, but he’s willing to give it up if it means freedom and happiness for his friends. he deals with so much unfair treatment and abuse and trauma and he could so easily give into despair or allow those experiences to darken his morals but nothing is ever able to completely dull his spark. it would honestly be easier to give up or become the villain, but it’s just not in his nature. i just love him so much man 😭

despite how important c!Nort is to me (we literally share the same name) I haven't talked about him much here and now that I've posted my recent animation I feel like it's due time, esp if I'm ever gonna talk more about OC's.
Here's a short guide to c!Nort :D
(this art is in order of oldest to newest, you can see how much they've changed over the years :'D)
Tw for topics like death, bodily decay, mild parental abuse, and just general angst lmao
c!Nort is an oc of mine that comes from a lore-centric Minecraft RP server with friends that was most active from late 2021-early 2023. I'm very emotionally attached to him, because we grew and changed and developed as people together. He's sorta like a sona in that way.
Some base knowledge of the server: it took place in a town called Crow, where the three gods of the realm liked to visit. One was in charge of life (overworld), one was death (nether), and the last was the afterlife (end).
Nort's backstory before Crow is that he is sort of a wayward soul that the gods of the nether and end struggled to control, and ended up coming back to life as a zombie centuries after he first died. In his first life, he was adopted by a cruel war general, who taught him to be ruthless and violent. The servants of their mansion eventually had enough of them, and plotted to murder them, sneaking poison into their food.
Centuries later, Nort comes back to life and has an identity crisis, and somewhere along the way realizes he can't go on being who he was before, he needs to be better. So he makes his way to Crow and turns an old, dilapidated shack into his house. There, he tried very very hard to be super nice to people. It's very exhausting for him and he worries he's still not being nice enough.
But because he was a zombie, he was consistently decaying and falling apart, so he'd use deer parts to put himself back together.
Backstory aside, Nort was involved in many lore events, some of my own making, some not. He got wrapped up in the server's joke PETA group and that pissed off the god of the Nether. He also accidentally chased someone's fox off a cliff.
But more importantly, he, alongside four others were the first to interact with the god of life's other half, a nasty plotting decay god who made everything turn into skulk.
Speedrunning this big arc, we made a deal with the decay god to work for him but ACTUALLY spied on him but everyone still kinda thought we were evil. During the big final showdown the god of decay brought everyone to this incredible floating island castle and spawned a bunch of wardens everywhere and it was chaotic and we killed them all and it was wonderful.
After that, Nort's decay sped up and he knew he'd die soon. I turned this into a lore event by announcing his death alongside sharing a massive build of his childhood home that people could explore and piece together his backstory via diaries.
A year goes by and I get bored of being canonically dead so me and my bestie conspire to have her character bring mine back from the dead. She's an incredible writer, and I draw, so we put together a 6(?) part mixed-media story with writing and illustrations that culminated in a small event on the server. I'm still very proud of us for that one.
Fast forward to current day Nort, he's living in Crow and working at a lovely inn and tavern with his adopted mum, and is very very happy.
So that's my little guy c!Nort. Hope u enjoyed the lore dump, here's some more art from over that time period!
#nort art#nort yapping#nort ocs#can you tell we transitioned together#as i realized i was a man so did he#and then i built it into the lore for fun too :3

Orginal Character Masterlist
Hi, fun fact about me: I mainly write orginal works with orginal characters. Despite this everything on this account is very fanfic focused... I want to change that!
This is a masterlist of orginal characters I am actively using. This is not every orginal character I have, as there are a few I'm just not invested in outside of specific roleplays. Those ocs will be excluded.
For the sake organization these ocs will fall under three sections, orginal characters, dungeons and dragons ocs, and minecraft ocs.
PLEASE SEND ME ASKS ABOUT MY ORGINAL CHARACTERS
Anyway, ocs are below the cut and will include their name(s) and basic background.
Orginal Characters
*Anura (She/They/He) - This is just my online sona, she is different from oc!Anura who will appear later in the list. persona!Anura is a shapeshifter who can take any form she wishes with no restrictions, her most common form is with feathered wings and some kind of horns - thought it depends on how I'm feeling *turns into catgirl*
Usha (She/Her) - My oldest orginal character, Usha comes from an old god roleplay based off of a webcomic I read back in 2017. She's the goddess of Death, may have destroyed 80% of the world that one time, and has a son named Insanity who is @fizzello character!
Constance (She/Her) - My second oldest orginal character, she orginally went by a different name and was considerably younger. I took the main themes of her old character and made Constance, a medium from the 1860's who's heavily indoctrnated and falls in love with a white boy.
Walter (He/Him) - The white boy Constance falls for. He is a newer orginal character who has gone through a lot of revisions, at first he had fire powers! Now he's just a redhead in the 1860's who's a cop with a politician as a father. Also he may be cis and straight but in modern day this bitch is a femboy.
Annette (She/Her) - I keep saying I'll flesh her out but I haven't. She's dead, Constance and Walter need to solve her murder. Annette is not her real name, I forget her real name, it's in a book somewhere. Annette exists.
Solstice (She/They) - My lil vampire baby, I love her. @fizzello character kidnapped her but that's ok because they're gonna fall in love! She's super new and I haven't used her much, I'm just in love with her as a whole. Think high school mean girl obsessed with her looks but she's actually really nice (unless if you've kidnapped her)
Dungeons & Dragons OCs
Robin (She/They) - My first DnD oc who I made in 2021 I believe? I gave her all my trauma. Abusive mom? Check. Brother who she has complicated feelings for because she feels betrayed? Check. Lesbian cat moms? Ok so I don't have those but that's besides the point.
Ceana (She/They) - I love Ceana. You can take her from my cold dead hands. Her parents are dead, she's a single mom who works two jobs to support her 7 brothers, there's other stuff I can't say here cause @fizzello is gonna see this and they're in the campaign she's an NPC for, but just know I will tell you about it if you send me an ask.
Nephilia (She/They) - I LITERALLY CANNOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HER BECAUSE OF @fizzello BEING HERE. But I am so gay for her. She's a villain and that makes her 10x hotter. She's also a spider!! She has many arms to hug me :)
The Queen and Princess - Once again, cannot say anything about these guys cause of @fizzello. Please ask me about them though. I need to scream about them.
Minecraft OCs
*Anura ( She/They/He) - Listen, I know she's identical to my online persona. But her lore is different! She's made entirely of void, can shapeshift, and feeds off of player code. Also, she's not a player!
Azelea (She/They) - The twin of @blood-smith character Berry, Azelea works in Decked out as a medic and landscaper and owns her own bakery called the Lush Cafe! Oh also she's a mooshroom hybrid who will fight you if you pick on her sibling.
Ayaan (She/They) - A wallcreeper bird hybrid! She's orginally from an anarchy server and has a found family with @cr0w-covered0n-m0ss and @chara--system characters. Her dream is to be a server admin, though she kinda put that dream aside to be of us to her family.
Aria (She/Her) - My newest oc, she's a demon hybrid who has a found family with @z-alien-boi character. She's grieving the loss of her brother and working to let Z's character enjoy their youth - something she's never been able to do.
*When discussing Anura I will use either person!Anura or oc!Anura to indicate which one I am discussing. If I do not include the prefix, assume I am discussing oc!Anura.
----
That's all the orginal characters I'm invested in at the moment, I'll try to update this as that changes. I always love talking about my ocs so please send me asks about them, and I'll try to write orginal stories for them again soon and post them here...

Dude, I feel like an idiot.
I know nothing about any Minecraft YouTubers, and this whole time I thought Dream was in the QSMP, and I was about to block you because I don’t really like him. So I went to your blog and read your tagged pin about not wanting to interact with Dream stans. I was confused by this since I thought he was in the SMP you like and had to Google it and realized Dream hasn’t even been in the QSMP this entire time.
Anyway, I guess PSA to people like me who don’t follow Minecraft stuff: Dream is, in fact, NOT a part of the QSMP.
I feel like such a fool since I try not to lump content creators together, but I really misunderstood this one.
LDFKSDL;FKSDLGJ AT FIRST I WAS ABOUT TO GO ALL "EXCUSE ME??" ABOUT THIS BUT LIKE.
DUDE. DUDE DR*M TRIED TO COPY THE IDEA OF QSMP BEING MULTILINGUAL/CULTURAL AND WAS GONNA CALL IT "UNITED SMP". IT WAS AN ENTIRE DRAMA THING (mainly on Twitter bc that's where the CCs are active). BUT IT LITERALLY [OFFICIALLY] ENDED HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH QUACKITY. AND YOU CONFUSING THINGS SO BADLY WHILE I KNOW THIS IS TOO FUNNY FOR ME TO BE LIKE "UM PARDON THE FUCK" ABOUT IT, SO YOU GET A PASS THIS TIME.
THE Q IN QSMP STANDS FOR QUACKITY. THE CONTENT CREATOR WHO MADE QSMP. (Fans will say it stands for Queer because so many of the CCs on it make gay love canonically in roleplay so often)
ANYWAY
Anon I can promise you most, if not ALL of QSMP fans fucking HATE Dr*m's p*dophile asshole egotistical ass. I want that sack of shit to drop dead like NOW. At all times. I could rant for EONS about his stupid ass and the horrid experiences I've had with his stupid fans. I'm glad you've now learned first hand why people who think "all of Minecraft YouTube = Dr*m & His Friends" are stupid and why nobody who watches mcyt likes people like that.
Dr*m (and the Dr*m Team [Dream & his friends G*orgeNotFound and S*pnap])'s fans are the mcyt equivalent of Tr*mp supporters. No one likes or respects them. No one understands how they can support such a problematic douchebag when there are entire threads of actual literal proof he's a problematic douchebag. Some of the things in those threads are things he has straight up admitted himself are real. Also I am literally censoring his, G*rge and S*pnap's names so their rabid ass stans don't somehow find this post and then swarm & doxx me. Because they do that. I have witnessed genuinely traumatic witch hunts on Twitter executed by Dr*m Team stans before I got rid of that shit app.
Somewhere I have a post of entire TLDR'd reasons between 2021-2022 of why Dr*m fucking sucks and no one should support him.
The SMP you were confusing is DSMP. Dr*m SMP. Which btw he didn't even fucking pay for the server the SMP was on himself. His friend (ex friend? I wish/hope ex) BadBoyHalo (BBH) who IS on QSMP was paying for it. So people like me who fucking hate and resent Dr*m will spitefully call DSMP "BBHSMP" sometimes because almost all the streamers that were on DSMP minus the Dr*m Team were and still are fabulous people, and I will gladly list them and the reasons they're great people if I really have to or if someone's genuinely curious about it. DSMP was awesome. Several were amazing queer creators that wouldn't have the exposure they do now if they hadn't joined and that's just one reason DSMP was great before we all found out Dr*m is a walking talking sack of shit.
So now that you have this knowledge, do yourself and the entire mcyt community a favor: Stop assuming anything Minecraft YouTube = Dr*m = Racist And Bad and Shitty. And start educating other people who think that way that they're wrong too.
Anyone who gets worked up at hearing "SMP" in a sentence is literally getting angry at hearing Minecraft "Survival Multi Player" which is often literally just groups of friends who are also streamers playing Minecraft. And maybe roleplaying as they do so. People who get angry at SMPs are literally getting mad about people roleplaying in a video game about cubes. It's like if they got pissed at a cube version of Dungeons & Dragons somewhat. They just look like a massive fucking clown.
Also, in general, don't forget the golden rule: To assume makes an ass out of u and me.
I am patting your head anon. Thank you for the laugh. Now take this knowledge and do the mcyt fandom a favor by shutting other uninformed people up. We have enough issues we're fighting to put an end to every day. We're not some racist monolith or whatever like some people for some reason think, so many of us are fighting tooth and nail to bring awareness to internal issues in the fandom, constantly. Just like any other fucking fandom. It's absolutely mind-blowing and braincell-killing to me that non-mcyt fans just assume we're all okay with racism or some shit. I've actually seen people like this, it's a real thing somehow.
Also also: I hope anyone who was following me for my previous hyperfixations (looking at you JSE community people who didn't also take the jse -> mcyt pipeline like me) also takes this knowledge. It's one thing if y'all don't want to see me blogging about something you're not interested in. It's another if you've thought something shitty and untrue about me or the fandom currently captivating me hardest this entire time. You guys too, do us mcyt enjoyers a favor, and start educating misinformed people so we don't have to go around expecting to be labeled racist or some other shitty awful thing over liking watching people play Minecraft.
#i dont want to tag this as anything so no one i dont want finding this post/me can find it/me. and also so--#anyone following me with words or tags blacklisted who might be misinformed sees this and understands now that theyre wrong

For the dreblr ask game 5, 20, 23, 24?
Hellooo thank you for the ask <3
5. What do you think is the most character-defining c!Dream scene?
I'm going to be more general than a single scene, mostly because my analyst days are long behind me. I'd say c!Dream throughout the daedalus arc.
A little late in the timeline and there are probably way better and obvious choices (maybe the revival book montage) but I'll stick with this one.
I think these scenes are the closest we ever were to a c!Dream pov. My mental recollection of these scenes sometimes has Dream looking at Sam in Minecraft instead of the other way around. They are very private moments between c!Dream and c!Sam without the extreme power imbalance that other scenes with them had.
We got the reveal that c!Dream wanted to sleep in the prison cell even after he escaped. We got c!Dream free but freshly out of hell, hiding things from c!Sam, keeping The Plan and c!Punz safe but letting some things slip, revealing some things because it felt good to make c!Sam see how wrong he was about him.
We saw c!Dream kill c!Sam but ultimately, let him go. We saw c!Dream let c!Sam leave.
20. What are some of your favourite pieces of c!Dream analysis?
Oh my, so many. From the OG analyses from @ruby-whistler, to the amazing meta from @simplepotatofarmer. And of course, some of the awesome posts from the loreheads™.
But I'll link two posts that I think never really got the love/discussion about them/their content that they deserved:
c!punz's motivators by @merrinpippy
how c!dream lies by @rutadales
23. To what extent are you a c!Dream apologist?
If we are talking Seriously™, all the things he did to c!Tommy and others are unforgivable, and the stunt he pulled with the boomers is straight out of a horror movie. Any good intentions he has will always be stained black by his completely fucked up morality.
If we're not talking Seriously™, then he suffered a thousand times more than Jesus. He quite literally never did anything without a logical or justifiable reason, and all the crimes he's accused of are greatly exaggerated for the purpose of dehumanizing him and using him as a scapegoat for everything wrong with the server and all its other members.
I think he should be loved like he deserves by like half of the server At Least, starting with c!Sam in this essay I will-
No because I'm serious, c!Sam is just a mentally ill puppycat (he has ocd) who placed his loyalty on the server when he shouldn't have, and just has to learn he can let himself love c!Dream like he's fighting tooth and nail not to!!!
As you can see canon and arguing about morality doesn't serve me At All and I couldn't care less if my meow meow tortures people and is Extremely Weird About, first of all why do you think they're my meow meow in the first place, second of all it's literally all in Minecraft my meow meows aren't hurting anyone irl Calm Down Everyone Let Me Have My Fun!
24. When/how did you become a c!Dream apologist?
Early 2021. The first big dream smp stream I watched was Doomsday from Techno's pov so I was not that invested in clingy duo's fate during the disk finale, I just wanted to Take It All In and enjoy the spectacle aka Dream's performance. Then, the very first prison visit got me Interested, and the subsequent c!Ranboo lore streams got me Hooked. I was big into endersmile then, but I slowly transitioned to being more focused on the prison arc as a whole as well as the prison trio.
This animation was definitely a turning point to my interest in the character. Made my brain invested in c!Dream's mental state and well-being, which means I would never again be a c!Dream casual and would from that point on be a c!Dream apologist <3

personal lore dump time yeeeee
I don't know if anyone will ever realise just how important the DSMP was to make me the person I am today.
Youtube's always been a major interest to me, especially for Minecraft. I originally watched the Little Club (Mainly Little Lizard and Tiny Turtle), and later, Briannaplayz. Around this time, I drew my first bit of genuine fanart, for a then-smallish reptile channel called Snake Discovery. I never posted it anywhere, but I intended for it to be used as Fanmail. I still have it.
And in early 2021, I found the Dream SMP. And so, I started drawing more; not just an occasional Warrior Cat. I started drawing humans, importantly. And I drew so. Damn. Much. I have STACKS of papers of little Minecraft guys. I have art from that time hung up on my wall right now. For a long, long time, drawing was just 'something I did', and not very well. Reading was my main hobby, and even that got boring. But as I drew more and more, it became more than just 'something'- I was drawing for myself, but I could connect with other people over these little guys on my paper. And I kept drawing until I realised that drawing was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It brought me more joy than almost anything else could've, and I may have just given up had it not been for that god-forsaken Minecraft server.
Because of this weird 'past-time' that's now taken up so much of my time, I've been able to do so many cool things. I've talked to really cool people, many of which I've looked up to since the start of 2021 (Thank you tumblr). Hell, I would've never met CG5 (really cool dude btw) had it not been for Minecraft, as silly as it seems.
And I'm still so early on in my journey. I'm only on year 3, and I've got decades to look forward to. Even if it doesn't seem like too much, I'd like to think of RJ from just 2021, and how they would react to all the stuff I've done; how my art looks like the art of the people they strived to draw like.
I don't really know what life would've been like without me finding MCYT when I did, but I highly doubt that I'd be in such a cool situation as I am right now. I wouldn't be as happy, I don't think, If I didn't find my love for art.
So for that, I thank the whole of MCYTs and their goofy ass roleplays, not just from this decade, but from my entire childhood.

Week 9: Gaming Today: More Than Just Playing
Let’s get real—gaming isn’t just about playing anymore. It’s about watching others play, creating content, modding games, and even turning a hobby into a career. But in today’s digital age, indie developers, streamers, and gaming communities face serious challenges. They rely on massive platforms like Steam, Twitch, and YouTube, which dictate what gets seen, who succeeds, and how money moves. While gaming still thrives on creativity and community, the harsh reality is that big business is calling the shots.
Indie Developers: Creativity vs. Business Pressure
Indie developers are some of the most passionate creators in gaming, bringing innovative and experimental ideas to life (Keogh, 2021). Unlike large game studios that prioritize profits, indie devs tend to focus on artistic vision. But here’s the problem—no matter how creative they are, they still need to sell their games. And platforms like Steam and Epic Games highlight what’s already popular rather than taking risks on fresh, original content.
A prime example is Disco Elysium (2019), a critically acclaimed RPG praised for its deep storytelling and unique mechanics. The game became a huge success, but only because it won high-profile awards. Without that visibility, it could have been buried under thousands of other indie titles on Steam. The sad truth? Most indie games never even get noticed.
Keogh (2021) explains that indie developers operate within “value regimes,” meaning they must balance creativity with market demands. Even though they work independently, they still depend on big platforms to distribute their games. Chia et al. (2020) describe this as platformisation—where digital storefronts decide what gets seen and what doesn’t. The result? Indie developers aren’t as free as we’d like to think.
Live Streaming: Gaming for Fun or Performing to Survive?
Gaming isn’t just something you do—it’s something you watch. Platforms like Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and Facebook Live have transformed gaming into a full-blown entertainment industry (Taylor, 2018). Streamers can build communities, showcase their gameplay, and even make a living. But it’s not all fun and games.
Taylor (2018) explains that streamers are in a constant battle with Twitch’s algorithm, which favors big names and established creators. Smaller streamers struggle for years just to get noticed. For example, Twitch star Ninja became famous playing Fortnite, but thousands of smaller Fortnite streamers barely get any exposure. Many talented streamers grind for hours every day but never reach enough viewers to earn a sustainable income.
On top of that, trends like the “Hot Tub Meta” highlight how unpredictable platform rules can be—what’s allowed today might be banned tomorrow. Instead of simply gaming, streamers have to perform, adapt, and constantly grind just to survive.
Who’s Actually in Charge?
Chia et al. (2020) argue that platformisation has placed power firmly in the hands of major corporations. Here’s how it affects different groups:
Indie developers rely on Steam and Epic Games for sales, meaning their success is dictated by algorithms and shifting market trends.
Streamers are at the mercy of platforms like Twitch and YouTube, where engagement metrics control visibility and income.
Gamers face a world full of ads, microtransactions, and constantly changing policies designed to maximize corporate profits.
Even in an open-ended game like Minecraft, corporations still have the final say. Hjorth et al. (2021) explain that while players can mod, roleplay, and create their own worlds, Microsoft ultimately owns the servers and decides what’s allowed. A recent example is Minecraft’s ban on NFTs and crypto integration. While many players supported the move, it was a clear reminder that Microsoft—not the community—has the last word in shaping the game.
The Future of Gaming: Can We Take Back Control?
Gaming has always been about community, creativity, and connection. But today, it’s clear that those who control the platforms make the rules. Whether it’s indie developers struggling for visibility, streamers wrestling with the algorithm, or players navigating paywalls and microtransactions, one thing is certain:
Gaming isn’t just about fun anymore—it’s about survival in a corporate-controlled digital world.
So the big question is: Can gamers, developers, and streamers push back? Or are we forever stuck playing by the rules of corporations that care more about profits than players?

🧶 — any non-writing hobbies/interests?
MUNDAY ASKS !
yes. next question.
i'm kidding...
(some) hobbies: - gaming (if you want a free game recommendation; warframe. everything can be gotten for free and the story's good shit, but there's also the grind) - watching streams of people gaming - listening to music - drawing - a surprise one: picture editing. I know. no one would know if I didn't say it - saying I'm going to do something and then never doing it but having every intent of doing it even years later
(some) interests: - british wildlife (there's a wildgrass called timothy that's also in... cali? some guy called timothy [something; I don't remember his last name] took it over to the US) - FNAF - minecraft roleplay servers that one, specific streamer has been on - everyone vs. one creator I won't name (he deserves everyone ganging up on him) (he made january last so long for so many people by picking fights with creators who were 15-19 when they interacted with him and then patronising them while they beat his ass with a steel chair) (also he said he's a trump voter) (if you know who I'm talking about, I feel for you. but also the evolution of the entire community from 2020 'til now regarding only him is wild, huh?) (the main streamer I watch defended him and his twt fans in 2020/2021 and now he's like 'anyway fuck that reject teletubby hope the kids kick him harder next time' like finally, old man, we were saying that 4 years ago)
- specifically the kendrick vs. drake rap beef. people really thought kendrick got a pulitzer for no reason and then he murdered a man and danced on his grave and occasionally leads a field trip back to the grave to dance on it some more. lol. lmao, even
- bodies, both human and not (I'm avoiding the specific science subject's name bcus if you dare mention it, shitheads turn up to bitch at you) (it's the reason I made both mattie and arnulf) (scientists learned how to--very basically--flip a switch in mouse DNA and change their genitals!!!!!!) (but we still don't really know what decides sex in humans since it's so complex) (like chromosomes can be any number of different combinations from the classically known xx/xy to xxx to xxxy to c and there's more than that) (cells have their own sex but it may not match up to the body) (hormones don't decide shit all, either) (the human body is genuinely fascinating and I'm forever mad that the only times I get to ramble about it is when shitheads turn up to get things wrong)

hi! i started this account like yesterday because the droloisms got too bad. and this ask got long as hell, but you asked about the SBI-dream stan pipeline?
*old man talking about war voice* i was a youtube-only dream fan who subscribed back in 2019 because i liked the minecraft videos. i also got into smplive and smpearth through the jschlatt and wilbur lava/water rising videos (skull emoji) and i got into SBI through smpearth where i became a tommy fan. and then i followed him onto dream smp and got really really into the roleplay and i was such a huge SBI enjoyer and inniter and during the height of the pandemic while i was in online school i literally watched all of tommy's streams and wilbur's streams and so many phil's streams (he streamed for like, five hours monday wednesday friday or something and i had a shit ton of channel points, and i probably sent some really cringy chat messages calling him dadza) but even then i mostly followed primeboys (rip) accounts on tumblr or accounts that were at least neutral on dream because it was so annoying when SBI accounts would shit on dteam. and also the entire internet *loves* shitting on dream so i was in the trenches defending a guy whose fandom i was barely even in. (again, i was youtube-only. i loved the manhunts. i was also here when the speedrunning scandal hit. i literally remember the first post i saw talking about it. *thousand yard stare*)
(sidenote: after origins smp i saw people on the SBI side saying that they were glad dream & co. weren't on the server bc they would ruin it which really pissed me off. and also back during r/place in 2021 when people were making a bunch of mcyt pixel faces and they would vote in the discord server on whose face to add and anybody who suggested a dream team member would be downvoted to hell with people saying like "we don't want to make our thing a target" okay but you have almost every single other dream smp member on there so like aaaaaaaaaaa sorry the demons. dreamons, if you will. this sort of negativity was why i mainly followed primeboys accounts and lurked on dtblr far more than i lurked on sbiblr despite being an SBI main. also why i never got too into the hermitcraft fandom despite watching a bunch of hermitcraft because the fandom would act like they were better than you because their CCs were wholesome or something)
anyway i watched the face reveal live, was pretty happy fandom-wise, i had even just got my tommy tshirt (which took like half a year to ship btw...) when. you know.
so then i took a complete break from the entire fandom, like everything mcyt related. i even stopped playing minecraft. and i would genuinely get scared to watch other content creators who are chronically online or to talk to people in my age group because what if they bring it up. i feel like some of my irls are drantis because of some jokes they made but i am absolutely NOT bringing it up and as long as they don't try to engage me in it we can be chill.
for the past couple of years i was mostly trying to move on with my life and occasionally reading things on r/dwt2 when my resolve weakened or when someone would bring up dream unprompted and i would spiral (definitely very healthy and the behavior of someone who has "gotten over mcyt!" hahahahaha)
i made the switch from SBI/inniter main & dream stan to solely dream stan very gradually as i felt like tommy's content wasn't very funny to me anymore. like the last one i remember really enjoying was the clingyduo wedding video. and i really really really didn't like how tommy & co kept joking about the allegations.
& the last week had me crashing out so bad because it felt like the huge huge split between the sbi side and the dteam side that had been festering for so long was finally acknowledged, like when you have a relationship that's been sort of toxic for years and then you finally have one giant blow-up fight and break up.
anyway, i'm one of the kids that dream got custody of in the primeboys divorce. and now i'm dipping my toe into the whole dream team fandom thing by watching some recent vods (i'm scared watching older vods will make me feel. skull emoji) so i made an entirely new tumblr account and a new youtube account with a different email so i can keep my dteam fandom stuff away from literally everything else and hopefully that will be better for my mental health.
also, if i can overshare some more for a sec, mcyt was the first fandom where i got really invested in the fandom as a community and engaged in it instead of just looking at fanart and reading fic. and it's likely going to be the LAST fandom where i do that because hoooooo boy did i get burned out bad. controversy after controversy will do that to you i guess. however i feel i am in this dream stan shit for life now.
(these are some dream levels of overexplaining. he's just like me fr.)
ty for this ask this was super interesting to read!! it always breaks my brain a little seeing 2019 fans bc i realise that was now 6 years ago i was 14 then and now i'm about to be 20 and time isn't real 😭
i can relate to some of the tommy fanisms lol i literally was a bigger fan of tommy than dream in 2021 - though this shifted around the time of george's haircut stream i think? (or maybe a little before that -i remember being in awe when dream posted those suit pics i was just doodling pics of them LOL.) i just slowly lost interest in tommy and the last video of his that i disctinctly remember watching when it came out was minecraft griefing in real life i think? its dated december 2021. (i must say i had to check tommys channel just now for that and good GOD it hurt my soul seeing all the videos i remember getting notifs for and watching right then and there. ;-;)
honestly bc of how much i used to like tommy i cant think about this drama too much or it just hurts thinking about how sour everything turned, how he's more focused on public validation, attention and looking good rather than actually Doing good, how he's just turned into just another chronically online social media user who happens to also be a youtuber, who thinks and spews all the same harmful bullshit those ppl do. not to mention prioritising appealing to the incredibly toxic side of his fanbase in fear of them turning on him and directing that toxicity his way instead (i.e. being spineless). equally applies to tubbo, but i never really watched him much lol.
what u said about the hermitcraft fandom kind of reminds me of what i talked about in this post (tho it wasnt inspired by them at all, i just got annoyed at some phannies calling dnp unproblematic when they're... very much not LOL no one is immune to making mistakes, it's just human and the best we can do is grow, learn and change for the better etc). i really don't like when fans of a cc act like they're morally superior for being a fan of someone who's had less controversy online bc i gurantee it's unlikely they haven't said or done anything harmful offline. everyone has at some point.
what you said at the end there makes so much sense, and it's how i felt for a long time - until i discovered dnp in august 2024, when my belief that i could never get invested in another fandom was at its absolute strongest lol (mainly influenced by the sheer number/severity of controversies we've had to put up with in this one, and for so many years too). and fortunately apart from some dranti/generally not so nice phannies and a minor case of infighting a few weeks back, i've had an incredibly positive experience there and i'm so glad i was wrong about not being able to be invested in another fandom. my very risk averse self was rlly relieved and happy :')
#ghosts.asks#another long boi#i used a lot of keywords in this for Those fandoms so like. lets just hope no one finds me lmfao. (tho idk if tumblr rlly works that way.)

Anonymous Tip: Tom Holland Is Cheating
while still also being in a relationship that is known and loved by the public. with that being said
when they (the person) was about 19 (around 2016 or 2017), they met him through a online game server(Minecraft Discord). through Skype they quickly became very close friends. he made them feel like they had a safe space with him, and they trusted him like a member of their family. they messaged and called often, talked like best friends for many months and stayed close over a few years even though he thought it was a girl he was dming he also knew they weren't but didn’t care much. but deleted then after they stopped talking to him and also he moved the account to another device and didn’t use his phone for that anymore. over time, the dynamic shifted from nothing more than platonic friends to him being sexual towards them, and wanting sexual things from them. the earliest conversation history they have is from when they were 23 in 2021 and he was 24/25, and you can see things were already sexual on his end, and they had their first mention of a meetup (regardless of the fact he was already in a relationship with Zendaya and her not knowing about this he comfirmed to me). Constantly calling them and adding and unadding them over and over again (because he was worried of them taking screenshots which they were doing in case things went south which they did, and in his own words unless he got drunk one night and sent a nude by accident), and also always sending and asking for nudes. The last message ever was received this year
Just to show how even celebrities cheat and act very predatory on social media.
Thank you for taking time to read.
