“dada blu?” that sweet little voice followed by a yank on his sweatpants. rafe glanced down seeing your 14 month old daughter. “hey princess” rafe thought she looked so adorable with a paci in her mouth, favorite stuffy in her arms. “have a good nap?” lifting her up into his arms. “mmm dada blu?” ari whined nestling into her dad’s neck. rafe dismissed her words recalling what you told him before you left. “want some bananas baby?” rafe attempted to preoccupy her with a snack.

“mmmm nanas” ari mumbled as she began suckling on her paci. after shifting her into the highchair, he opened up the fridge grabbing the pre-cut-up fruit. “look mama already did the hard part you don't gotta wait” bending down and placing a kiss onto both of her chubby cheeks. “okay now what do we say baby?” rafe cooed dragging a chair placing it beside her. with wide eyes ari brought a hand to her chest rubbing in a circular motion.

“yes, that's right! please” rafe laughed. you both gloated about having the smartest baby of all time. plucking ari’s paci out her mouth, rafe placed a couple of sliced bananas on her tray. smushing one against her face, almost completely missing her mouth ari oohed and awwed as she ate her favorite snack. “can daddy have one princess?” rafe asked opening his mouth.

ari giggled leaning forward placing a kiss onto his nose. “aww baby thank you for the kissies but daddy wanted a nana” he tickled her feet. grinning as ari squealed, shaking her head no as she kicked her feet. “you don't wanna share with daddy baby?” rafe gasped stealing a banana anyway.

“Cmon we're playing with blocks right now ari girl” rafe spoke gently to not upset ari even more. “mama doesn't want any more tv today baby” recently both you and rafe had cut down on ari’s screen time per the doctor’s advice. to say it was an emotional time for your baby was an understatement. poor ari girl just wanted to watch her cartoons. “blu dada” ari threw herself back kicking her legs. the start of a tantrum.

“ari girl no ma’am” rafe went to grab her into his arms. a loud screech followed by a loud bump. ari had threw herself back again this time completely missing her soft play mat. “oh my baby no no” rafe immediately pulled her into his arms. caressing the place where she bumped. “okay lets get you some ice”

an ice pack and a cold bottle of almond milk later, rafe laid on the couch as ari suckled on her paci. her favorite show bluey displayed on the tv screen. “we gotta keep this secret from mommy okay baby?” rafe whispered gently patting her back as she laid on his chest. “rafe!” you groaned, shopping bags in hand. “uhh ohh daddy’s in trouble” rafe moved to turn the tv off. “baby she was fussing all day, bumped her head i couldn't say no to her anymore” he was quick to explain himself.

“ari girl you weren't being nice to daddy?” you laughed joining them on the couch. “mama” your sweet little baby smiled around her paci, crawling out of her dad’s arms and into yours. “gotta stop bossing daddy around girly” squishing her cheeks together. “hey, hey you know my girls always get what they want” rafe smirked before attacking you both with kisses.

I can't be the only one here who thinks it's unfair to allow kittypets on this site. Posting pictures of themselves and their mates inside of the twolegplace, influencing the young kits on this site to abandon their Clans... surely everyone else sees the problem with this as well.

This is Clanblr, not "Kittypetblr". This was specifically made as a space for Clan cats to connect, not for kittypets to push their lifestyle on us.

They're going to convince our kits to abandon their home and their belief in StarClan just for a more secure life.

The recent drama surrounding Kipper the Kittypet is sad and I hate that he's being bashed just for existing, but it's also incredibly stupid. I believe the cat who wrote the original post said something like, "it's CLANblr, not KITTYPETblr," and then something about belief in StarClan and I just... do you even realize how many Clanblr mods are non-Clan and/or don't believe in StarClan?

To name a few, @s-t-a-r-burning is former WindClan now rogue & openly an atheist, @theshadowhaseyes has been a kittypet his whole life, and @ssuunnrraayy-p has made zir entire blog about how ze travels from one Clan to another & doesnt consider zimself a Clan cat. Those are all mods. "It's clanblr no-" shut up. Just shut up.

I think a lot of cats put way too much emphasis on the parts of the warrior code that dont matter, and forget the parts that do, like "feed elders and kits first" and "never neglect a kit in pain or danger"... I feel like those are significantly more important than "a warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet," but maybe that's just me.

I feel like we don't talk enough about how SkyClan got chased out of their own territory during a time of crisis rather than all of the Clans trying to make room for everyone...

I mean, seriously. I know it's taught to all SkyClan apprentices, but I've talked to some of my friends from other Clans and they just. Didn't know that. They were never taught that the other Clans allowed SkyClan to be chased out due to territory loss.

So.

You may have noticed I was briefly MIA recently , and it’s because I’ve been ✨stressed and angry✨

My mother is currently in remission for breast cancer and was excited to use the state dental insurance she was notified in November she had. She lost some teeth to chemo, along with other issues, only having three teeth on the bottom of her jaw but all of her teeth on top.

In March she got approved and scheduled for May surgery to remove all her teeth and for her denture appointments in June. They had her get rides two hours away because they said they’d only pay for that specific doctor in network. (She can’t drive due to seizures)

After they took all her teeth, they called and said she actually wouldn’t be covered for the dentures or the surgery they already did. She was told, “Lots of people are out there walking around without teeth.” They said her insurance actually ended at the end of March, despite no notification and still approving the May and June appointments. They said it was a state thing and didn’t know why it ended. Even the morning of the May surgery they CONFIRMED she was approved with her dental surgeon. Then four days after the surgery they said “oopsies no you weren’t.” And sent her a 4800$ bill.

They can eat my entire ass.

So, they took her teeth and then told her tough luck. They made a mistake in approving these and won’t own up to it. She’s made it through cancer just for some knobheads to take her goddamn teeth. 

Did she have a lot of teeth before? No. But she never would have had them all taken out if she hadn’t been told she was approved for fully paid for dentures. She even asked to get just half dentures (bottom half) and was dissuaded. “We will only pay for this procedure one time, so it’s best to get it all done at once.” (Paraphrasing)

If you can, we’d appreciate any help in getting my mom some teeth. We’re looking into a place that would offer payment plans and looking into lines of credit to make it happen but anything would help offset the shocking and unfair burden placed on my mother.

We’ve been quoted around $3500 for a full set of “standard” dentures (meaning…not… the best? Lmao Jesus I don’t even know what that means but it’s what we can manage. I didn’t know they had good and bad ones??). We’re using PayPal as we don’t expect to raise that full amount, so gofundme wouldn’t be helpful.

We are getting her some goddamn teeth one way or another, but any help would be immensely appreciated.

Because I’m in Japan we’re using my sister’s PayPal. If you’d considered tipping or using my ko-fi in the near future, consider instead donating to help get my mom some fucking teeth. 🫠 any money I receive through my own PayPal and ko-fi will go to this anyway. I recently finished perusing all of the sex edventure tags on your blog (yea, all... took a weekend) and by and large I am not an emotional person but it just makes me cry a bit to learn that your #1 field is in ages 10-12. I think of that comic where the little girl holds up a page about abuse to her mom and goes "this is me."

because like ... I never got to be that kid. nobody gave me those resources. The other week I was talking with a teenaged friend who was struggling to process their own childhood trauma and how it's made them vulnerable to getting hurt again in the same way, and I suddenly realized they're just about the same age as I was in my (toxic) first relationship and I was like "oh shit, that was me."

I dunno man maybe I'll come back to this tomorrow and gag over how sappy this is, but I just want you to know that you and everyone else who does stuff like this are doing the lords work. it's not just about giving that hypothetical girl a voice, it also gives people who are way past being that little kid a voice even if their shot at real closure and reparation is long gone. and their voice maybe ends up resonating with other kids purely by accident and the ripple effect just goes on, etc, you get my meaning here. there are like infinite timelines that get affected here because one act could change someone for the rest of their life.

Storytime!

So I have been working in before and after school care for elementary schoolers at the school I went to. One of my coworkers was one of MY counselors from when I was in before and after care in elementary school.

We were kind of awkward and not talking much, but today we both acknowledged our previous relationship and that we both remember each other from when I was 9.

The one thing he said about what he remembers about me had me trying to not die of laughter. He said, “you were really into vampires.”

I do not remember that taking up so much of my personality back then, but I guess it did.

I told him, “what if I told you I did my undergraduate thesis on Dracula?”

He responded, “I guess you haven’t changed much”

1. it’s my 24th birthday today, so my goal of being published by the time i’m 25 is now a one year looming monster, but i never specified what kind of published and am currently looking in various literary magazines that are recommended for writers who have yet to be published, so i’m surprisingly confident that i can make it work? and tbh even if whatever i write isn’t officially published before my 25th birthday, if i have someone in the process of being published then i’ll be happy!! no matter what though, i’m gonna try to be proud of myself for at least giving it my best shot!!

2. i honestly love that my birthday is on the ides of march because the ides of march meme shitposting is only a thing on tumblr but it also being my birthday makes it easier to like. be excited about the ides of march outside of tumblr. like even in person i can be like “it’s my birthday! i’m an ides of march babe (:” and if someone is like oh what’s that? or if they say something along the lines of oh like julius caesar? i can be like yep!! and even if it’s a small thing outside of tumblr it brings me immense enjoyment and amusement being able to bring it up off of tumblr

3. transportation situation has been very rough since june 2023 when i totalled my car, my gap insurance are being assholes and i ended up putting my foot down on the phone with them yesterday which i’m pretty proud of because i am NOT a confrontational person (something i’ve been working on this past year, so seeing some improvement with my ability to hold my ground and not be a pushover yesterday was very cool!!) i was told i’d get a response from them by friday next week no matter what, and if i don’t then friday of next week i will continue to wreak havoc upon them. but my moms car which i’ve been using since my accident broke down yesterday, hopefully it’s fixable but my parents were saying it might be done for, so trying to think of how i’m gonna get to work next week is kind of stressing me out lmao, but for now i’m just gonna focus on enjoying my birthday the best i can because i don’t want to start off being 24 with an overwhelming anxiety for something that won’t be a potential issue until monday. plus i already messaged my boss today to let her know that i’m going to do everything i can to make it work out but just so she’s in the loop and knows of the potential of me not being able to make my morning shifts (one of my coworkers said she’s more than happy to give me a ride for our afternoon shifts which does help relieve some of the stress!) and i told her i’d let her know for sure sunday so that if necessary she can have time to figure out someone to fill in for me in the mornings!

overall: life is weird and i ended being 23 yesterday with a shitty situation but a positive outlook and i am going to enjoy my first day of being 24 no matter what because honestly i fucking earned it. happy friday everyone, i hope it’s a good day for you and me both!

Having worn glasses/contacts since 4th grade has really warped my perspective. I just assume everyone who’s not wearing glasses is wearing contacts. It doesn’t even occur to me that people are looking at things with their all natural eyes, unassisted.
