y/n and quinn had been together in michigan for a week now and his brothers were yet to meet her. she had met his parents a couple months before and they’ve loved her ever since. ellen treated her as if she were her own daughter. they would talk about quinn and his behavior and quinn would be in the back, getting offended. jim was like her second father. he was protective of her and was his little girl even if they weren’t blood related.

the couple were on the couch, all cozy and cuddling when they heard a car pull up outside. quinn looked down at y/n who had her eyes closed, trying to go asleep after being out that day. “babe,” quinn heard a mumble come from the girl, “they’re here.” she grumbled in response.

quinn had told her last night that they would arrive at the lake house tomorrow evening. she was half asleep when he told her so all he got from her was an “okay,” before he began to hear soft snores come from her mouth.

“quinny, let me sleep please,” y/n whispered, “i’ll meet them later.”

quinn just smiled and leaned down to kiss her temple. he rested his head on top of hers and closed his eyes, hoping to sleep as well.

unfortunately, in this household, a good nights sleep was never a thing. that was proven as the front door suddenly burst open which quinn jumped slightly at the action and caused y/n to stir in her sleep, letting out a small whine.

“honey, we’re home!” an, oh, so familiar voice announced.

quinn turned his head to the side and peaked over the couch. as soon as he saw his brothers, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at their antics and go back to trying to go to sleep.

he heard chattering and the padding of footsteps get closer, indicating they were coming his way. he began to think of a way of how he would get up without waking up y/n. there was no way.

quinn reopened his eyes and saw two figures standing in front of him. “what the fuck?” he questioned and his brothers laughed at his face.

“i see you’ve been having fun.” luke said and his eyes traveled down to y/n’s sleeping figure and he raised an eyebrow at quinn. “like i knew you had a girlfriend but she’s way out of your league.”

quinn let out a fake chuckle. “get the hell out and let us sleep.” he commented and wrapped his arms around y/n, his arm covering her face from jack and luke.

“but we just got here.” jack pointed out and luke murmured in agreement.

“then go up to your rooms.”

“but we want to meet your girlfriend.” luke stated with a fake pout.

quinn glared at the pair. “she’s sleeping so leave,” he stated and closed his eyes, protecting y/n from their view.

“we’re coming back when you’re both wide awake.” jack pointed a finger at quinn before he and quinn went to the front to get their bags and head upstairs.

quinn shook his head and went back to sleep, awaiting the moment of when y/n wakes up.

the couple had surprisingly slept for an hour and a half. it surprised quinn since he knew his brothers and the amount of noise they made whenever one of them were sleeping.

y/n had begun to wake as she had begun to squirm in quinn’s hold. he let out a groan and held her closer to his body, her squirming subsiding. “q, let go.” she mumbled into his chest. he held her tight. “quinn.”

“go to sleep, princess.” quinn whispered, his eyes still closed.

y/n started to squirm once again. “no, i have to meet your brothers as i said before.” she really wanted to meet luke and jack but with quinn’s hold keeping her restrained, it was impossible.

“they can wait.”

“no we can’t.”

quinn snapped his head towards the voice and y/n lifted her head and looked towards the boy. “why are you everywhere luke?”

luke shrugged, “i don’t know,” he sat at the end of the couch, “i just am.”

quinn rolled his eyes and looked down at y/n. “well you’ve met luke,” he told her.

“and the other?”

“i have a name.” jack.

y/n turned towards the boy, “yeah i know. sorry jack.”

jack shrugged and sat next to luke who gave jack a look. “what?” luke stared at him for a second before using all his force to push jack off. he fell with a thud and quinn, luke, and y/n laughed. “asshole.”

“man whore.”

jack looked up at luke. he got up within a second before he pounced onto luke. the two began to fight, jokingly, of course. jack had an arm wrapped around luke who let out a scream. “get off of me.” luke managed to get out despite jack’s arm suffocating him. luke continuously slapped jack’s arm in an effort for his older brother to let go.

“no.” the two continued to fight and quinn and y/n just stayed there laughing at the two.

“well you’ve met thing 1 and thing 2.” quinn said as he looked down at y/n. “i don’t know how they haven’t killed each other in jersey yet.”

y/n looked up at him. “you have a wonderful family.”

“aren’t we just lovely?” luke asked as he wriggled under jack’s hold. “also one more question,” y/n and quinn looked at him, “did quinn force you to get with him?”

jack’s head perked up at this. “oh yeah, did he?” he let go of luke as he turned towards his older brother and his girlfriend.

y/n only chuckled and quinn gave them a death stare. “no, i didn’t. she simply fell in love with me.”

jack and luke looked at each other. suddenly, the two bursted out laughing. both quinn and y/n were confused. they had a look on there face as the younger pair continued laughing. “what?”

“oh, we’re sorry but how is it that a girl like her, take this in a good way, would fall in love with a guy like you?” jack said and luke was still too busy laughing.

quinn looked at them, offended, “what’s that supposed to mean?”

“she’s beautiful! and you’re just..you.” luke exclaimed. “like let’s be real here.”

y/n turned to them, “i didn’t fall in love with him because of his looks, i fell in love with him because of his personality,” she looked towards quinn before looking back at the younger brothers, “although sometimes he’s a little interesting.”

“what do you mean interesting?”

You had grown to hate Anaheim.

The city was a shell of its former self with where the shadows of Jamie seemed to haunt your mind. Everywhere you looked you swore he was there and you hated being met with the reality that he wasn’t. But most of all you hated the fact that you couldn’t seem to hate him.

Trevor noticed the decline in your mood but he just assumed that it was some kind of seasonal depression. And as he focused on building his new relationship with his girlfriend, he simply didn’t notice how far you had fallen. Trying to grapple with life as a twenty year old was always going to be tough and still feeling the pain of a broken heart that was dealt to you by the man who you couldn’t ever call yours.

It was this weird sense of grief you felt. You couldn’t say that you missed him because then what was it that you missed? He wasn’t your boyfriend, and at best Jamie was the guy you slept with from time to time. To top it all off you were a barely keeping it all together whilst Jamie seemed to be unscathed from the unfortunate emotions, only furthering your pain.

Your friends put you on enough dating sites to last anyone a lifetime as you were the only one single. And as you finally stopped turning them down, they wouldn’t give you a chance to change your mind. With each guy you could only find his downfalls or how he wasn’t like Jamie and how your heart and your brain just wanted the man who clearly wanted nothing to do with you.

So after almost three months of struggling with all of these men that clearly weren’t enough to pull your mind from the grasps of Jamie; you finally found someone who made you feel alive and funnily enough he had been right in front of you all along. Alex started hanging out more with you when Trevor started spending more time with Dixie.

Alex had actually shown up at the Zegras siblings apartment one night looking for Trevor “hey Al.” You smiled as you saw the boy stand over you “is Trev in?”Aled asked as he cocked his head shoving his hands into his shorts pockets.

Your lips pursed together as you shook your head “he’s out on a date.” Your words made him wriggle his eyebrows as he laughed “I got that man dinner for nothing?” Every Wednesday the duo would go for dinner if they didn’t have a game and now it seemed that your brother forgot of that tradition.

You frowned sending him a sigh “if you’re up for an episode of the bachelor I could eat?” You offered opening the door further as you smiled tilting your head inwards “since you asked so nicely.” Alex didn’t hesitate to nod as he walked in making himself comfortable on the couch.

That’s how your weeks ended, with Alex on the couch and he was no longer just your brothers best friend but instead a friend of yours. You had to say that you found yourself falling for him. With Alex it was no longer tough to not think about Jamie, instead now it was tough to not let your body feel like it was on fire with nerves.

All the way in Philly sat Jamie as he frowned staring at his phone in his empty apartment. The sound of a notification pulled him from his daze when he realised that he had a voicemail from you. It surprised him when he saw your name but after months of letting his thumb hover over the call button only stopping when the fear of hearing you upset got to him. But instead he was met with the sounds of you in bed with someone else.

The sounds of your breathe shaking echoed in the phones speaker “fuck Al!” You moaned letting your legs shake “you are such a pretty fucking girl.” Alex mumbled as he ran his finger over your clit. It made Jamie freeze listening to you having sex. Was he meant to hang up? Because this clearly wasn’t meant for him.

The boy stopped planting his feet where he was as he sent you a harsh glare “the man you fucked last night y/n!” His words made you freeze as you began to wonder how he knew about what you had done the night before.

A laugh echoed through your ears “you gonna tell me you don’t remember giving me that front row seat to listen in?” your eyes went wide as you realised what had gone on.

You couldn’t help but bring your hand to your mouth as you held back a laugh “you came back because you heard me have sex?” You knew it wasn’t the time to bring it up but that clearly seemed to be his entire reason for being there and you were a fool to think that it could have been something else.

Jamie rolled his eyes as he felt himself grow angry “I leave for Philly and all of a sudden you’re deciding that your type simply has to be friends with your brother.” The flyer spat as he sent you a glare “you don’t get to go there!” The embarrassment you once held had left your chest as it had been replaced by anger.

He rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms “why not?” Jamie spoke rhetorically as he cocked his head “because that’s the only thing we have in common.” He pointed out reminding you of how different the boys were.

You chewed at the inside of your cheek “you left me and came back to judge me for moving on?” Your voice was barely a whisper as the boy stepped closer to you.

Part of you was grateful for the fact that Alex left earlier that morning needing to catch a flight back to Michigan but the other part just wanted him to walk into the living room to stop whatever was going to come from this “you didn’t really move on though, did ya?” Jamie’s fingers were rough against your cheek as he towered over you.

A shaky breath left your lips “you’re being mean.” You pointed out trying your best to ignore his question “tell me to leave and I will.” Jamie announced pressing a cold and hard gaze against your weakening one.

The oxygen around the room was struggling to get into your lungs as you shook your head “you know I can’t.” It came with this defeated sigh that even made Jamie pity you “then why’d you go for him?” The question was like the one you had asked yourself so many times and could never find the answers to.

You shrugged as no answer really made the most sense “you enjoyed playing him is that it?” The hockey player was pushing your buttons in search of a particular answer “he’s good to me J.” You shook your head almost offended that the boy in front of you thought that lowly of you.

Yet it gave him the chance to laugh at you once more “better than I was?” It seemed like that was the first question you could actually shake off as you shook your head but this time to really say no “does he have you coming for rounds on end?” Especially once Jamie moved into out from the Zegras sibling’s apartment; it meant that you were over at his more often than not and up until the sun would rise.

You looked up as you heard a knock on your office door and one of the girls you work with step in.

“Hey Y/n there’s someone up front with a delivery for you” she notified

“I didn’t see any deliveries on my schedule today” you slightly panicked hoping you didn’t miss something important.

“This one wasn’t scheduled but he says that it’s important” she shrugged with a glint in her eye

“Okay..” you said as you got up to follow her to the front

As you arrived to the desk you saw Trevor standing there with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. You immediately broke out in a deep blush and felt warmth surrounding your heart

You two had only been talking a few months and he was buying you flowers while guys you had spent years with never did.

“Hi” he cheekily greeted with a shy smile

“Hi..what are these?” You asked coming around the counter to stand in front of him

“Oh! Well you said you were having a tough morning so I wanted to bring you flowers to cheer you up” he smiled and pushed them towards you

But his face and heart dropped as he seen tears welling up in your eyes, “oh no are you allergic or something? I’m so sorry I should have as-“ but he got cut off as you pulled his face to yours and kissed him.

You heard a gasp of surprise leave him but he quickly got control of himself and kissed you back.

“I love them Trev, I started crying because nobody has ever done anything this sweet for me before” you told him once you two finally pulled away.

“You scared the shit out of me for a second” he laughed before pulling you into a hug, carful not to squish your flowers.

You two stood there for a second before he jumped back with excitement, “I forgot about the card! Read it”

You looked at him with suspicion before taking the card out of the bouquet and handing it to him so you could open the card.

“That is the weirdest combo I’ve ever seen but yes I would love to have Tacos and wine with you tonight” you giggled and leaned up to give him a kiss on the cheek.

“It is not weird!” He defended his choice of food and beverage

Rafe and Trevor birthday fanfic (2 separate fanfics) bc my b day is in April (17th) and idk how long it takes you to make a fanfic so I'm requesting it early.

Request: can you make it fluff and smut so like in the morning there all sweet with gifts and lots of kisses and extra love but at night they show you how much the love you iykyk (😉 😉 😉).

You weren't much of a fan of your birthday as if the last few weeks were any indication, you would be spending it alone. Your boyfriend seemed to make every excuse to not be at your side, taking any and every shift to keep busy. A handful of arguments and you appeared to pass more like ships in the night than the loving duo you'd become since the conception of your relationship. And to make matters worse, you woke up to find the bed empty yet again. Not even able to find his warmth before he had decidedly forgotten about your birthday as he took another early shift. 

Coffee. At least you had coffee. You had every intention of downing the bitter condition in swift gulps to prepare for the lackluster day ahead. But as you came out of the bedroom of the apartment, you stilled in disbelief. 

"Shit!" Trevor exclaimed as a balloon popped once he gave it too much air. But it was one loss in contrast to the countless ones that filled the space. Something that must have taken hours. Something that would have been the excuse as to why you came home to find him making an excuse of another late shift he needed to sneak out for. 

"Trev…" You couldn't even bring yourself to do anything but bury your face in your hands as he was quick to pull you against him. 

"Hey hey hey…what is it?"

"I thought you…forgot or didn't…didn't care…"

"Are you kidding?!" He scoffed. "It's the one day of the year I get to make it about you and you can't protest…come on…" He led you to the table, where a handful of gifts were left. Despite the quick wrapping job done with newspapers and thin strips of tape used to make it stretch, he found a way to adorn everything with his care. 

"Open the small one first, I'll make your coffee." He kissed your head as you pulled it to view. The first gift was a small necklace, perfectly dainty, hanging from a silver chain. The smile on your face was well worth the shifts he'd taken to pay for it instead of having stolen it, which was more tempting as he could spend more time in bed with you. 

"Now that one…" He pointed to the gift on the far left, setting the coffee beside you and pulling up a chair at your side. You opened up the wrapping to find a stack of vinyls you'd been in search of since you started dating. 

"Where did you even…"

"I know a girl…" your brow raised. 

"Just a friend…" he nodded to the final gift. 

"Now don't give me shit about it, okay…I just-" Before he could fumble further, your eyes watered at the thought put into it. A small photo album. But the slots were filled with destinations. 

The Eiffel tower. The Colosseum. The statue of Jesus in Rio. Pictures and notes made by each one. "Ravaging each other in Rio.", "Getting cuddly at the Colosseum," You chuckled at his choice of words, finding it hard to imagine him actually saying them out loud. But now, you had them in writing. 

"I might not be able to take you there this year…but I promise, you'll get to see those places one day." He took both of your hands and carried them to his lips, almost as if he was trying to warm them. 

"I promise, baby." Your eyes met for only a second before you climbed over his lap in a straddle. 

"Whoa, I was gonna make you pancakes with that little face with whipped cream…even got the flavored kind you like-" Your lips fell to his jaw and into his ear, where he dug his nails into your hips as you continued your endeavors. 

"I love you, Trevor…" You whispered into his ear, feeling him smirk as he led you closer against him. 

"I love you, baby…"

"I want you to show me…" 

"Yeah?" You nodded. 

"Consider it my birthday wish…" You bit your bottom lip as he lifted you onto the table, standing between your legs. His hands were soft to divide your thighs wider as he grinned to the brush his thumbs made at your core. 

"Tell me what you want…I want to give you exactly what you want, birthday girl." He kissed you sweetly as you could only nod. 

"My fingers?" 

"Please-" You gasped as he was quick to accommodate. Your panties ruined by the second lap made by his touch around your clit.

“Are you quite certain you wish to do this Garrett?” Alissa asked as she joined him in her quarters.  He’d been bugging her all afternoon that he had a great plan set up for a quiet evening.  He’d gotten Bethany and Matthew to keep Zephyr overnight, Alissa wished she could be a fly on the wall for Matthew putting his nephew to bed it would be quite the spectacle, and Garrett had been so excited.

“Yes!  I know you painted that portrait of the family for Mother back in Kirkwall, but I’d like to give this a try myself.”  Alissa crossed her arms in front of her chest as she studied her husband.  He looked so proud of himself and she actually was looking forward to sitting down and getting to sketch him.  Not that she hadn’t done her fair share of it back in Kirkwall, but those had been with stolen glances when he wasn’t looking.

“Alright.  You’ve gotten everything prepared already.”  She swept a hand towards the materials neatly arranged on her desk.

“I had a little help with getting your paperwork finished.”  She looked over at him and he simply smiled down at her.  “Lady Montilyet was more than happy to help me once I explained what I was trying to do.”

“Josie would be more than happy.”  Alissa gave a short laugh as she realized the hopeless romantic would happily help him set up this date.  “Alright Garrett.  You’re on one side and I’m on the other?”

“Yes.  Then we come together and see what each looks like at the end.”  Alissa chuckled and she carefully sat in the chair facing Garrett.  He smiled at her before he looked down at his paper and charcoal.

And realized he had absolutely no idea how he was going to accomplish this.  His wife was the talented artist, he could barely string two lines together.  He watched her hand moving over the page and knew he had to get started.  He hoped he could do something of a decent job.  Garrett started when he felt her foot brush the back of his leg.  “Madam, are you trying to distract me?”

“Is it working?”

“Yes, now stop.”  Alissa huffed and returned to her drawing.  They sat quietly in their quarters, letting the noises of the courtyard be the backdrop for their date.  Alissa dared a glance over and saw how hard he was concentrating on the paper.  Garrett always put his one hundred percent into whatever it was he did.  Whether it was fighting, helping his friends and family, or his son.  Alissa loved that about him, there was nothing half-hearted about Garrett Hawke’s actions.

“Alright.  I think I’m done.” Garrett announced as Alissa looked up.  “Shall we show them off?” Alissa chuckled and she held her paper close to her chest and stood.  “Where are you going my lovely wife?  There’s no escaping.”  He reached out and linked their fingers together as she joined his side.

“I wasn’t leaving.  I wanted to see what you did.”  Garrett made a face but she merely brought their fingers up to her lips, pressing a quick kiss and grinning at him.

“Quit trying to distract me.”

“Garrett, I could be talking about treaties and noble houses and you’d think I was seducing you.” Alissa placed her art facedown before turning to him.

“Well, I do like how snooty you sound when you’re talking to the nobles.”  He grabbed her waist and pulled her onto his lap earning a laugh from her lips.

“Now who’s trying to distract who?”  Alissa smiled up at him.  He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers.  Her hand came up to cup his cheek as she parted her lips under his.  He was almost lost in the kiss but he sensed her moving.

“Don’t!”  He broke the kiss as she snatched up his drawing and danced away from him with her prize held against her chest.  “You little sneak.”

“You were the one who was trying to distract me serah.  I merely did what I had to do to get my hands on this.” Alissa huffed at him as she pointed at his chest.  “Now, let me see.”  Alissa held the drawing up and her lips curved into a smile.  She noticed the way he looked away, half covering his lips with his hand and a dusting of red on his cheeks going up to his ears.

His drawing was nowhere near professional, but Alissa knew that.  Her heart warmed as she saw the painstaking way he captured her portrait.  She could see the lines he carefully drew for her tattoos, her eyes, and how hard he worked on getting her hair right.  It wasn’t professional but it was just as precious to her.  She tucked it behind her back when she sensed him reaching for it.

“Nope!  I’m keeping this.  I love it Garrett.”

“It’s not as good as yours.”  She heard the grumbling and laughed.

“Of course it isn’t.  I’ve studied art since I was fifteen.  Over half my life I’ve dedicated myself to it.  You haven’t but to see what you were able to do for me?  I absolutely love it.  I’d like to see you draw Zephyr too.”  Garrett looked at her in surprise.  “What?  I’m serious Hawke.”

“Well, since you were so persistent and used my name in that tone of voice…  I guess I have to.”  Alissa grinned at him and leaned in for another kiss.  Garrett’s hands came up to her hips, his fingers digging in slightly as he lost himself in the kiss.

They broke apart when the door burst open downstairs.  “Alissa!!!  Your child is insufferable!  Has to be his father’s genes!”  Garrett burst into laughter at hearing his brother-in-law grousing about putting their child down for bedtime.
