THE WHIMPERERS
when you ride him, 9/10 you have to take charge despite him starting off as the dom, as he just becomes too pussy drunk to really think of anything other than your pussy squeezing his cock. you have to shut him up a lot too, as he’s too damn loud, you usually do this via making out with him, your hands against his shoulders to help move yourself up and down.
(jjk) — gojo satoru, CHOSO KAMO (aot) — armin arlert, REINER BRAUN (genshin) — XIAO, THOMA
THE GROANERS
when you ride him, he’ll let you think you’re in charge for the first few minutes, but as soon as he wants to go harder and faster, this man will grab your hips and just pound into you from behind, watching as your ass jiggles against his thighs.
this man will be groaning through the entire thing too, right into your ear to be an ass about it, as he knows that just gets you even more riled up than before, he will spank your ass in this position too, so once you’re finished you won’t be able to sit for a good week or two
(jjk) — KENTO NANAMI, sukuna ryomen, TOJI FUSHIGURO (aot) — jean krischtien, connie springer, ERWIN SMITH (genshin) — ZHONGLI
THE MOANERS
this man fucking moans, low key moans more than you do in this position. wanna be a menace and make him moan more? pull his hair, pull his fucking hair, he can take it like the slut he is
if you spit in his mouth, that just gets him even more riled up, yes this motherfucker is kinky as shit. likes the feeling of your chest pressed against his, also enjoys the intimacy of seeing your facial expressions whilst you use him like a dildo
and that’s why you love him so much <3
(jjk) — geto suguru (aot) — EREN JEAGER, levi ackerman (genshin) — KAEYA ALBERICH, diluc ragnivnder, cyno, TIGHNARI

kaeya alberich
you’re really good at hiding, kaeya thinks to himself with a huff and a smile on his lips. searching all over the plaza for you was making him break a sweat in his navy blue tuxedo. with another turn around the corner he decides to remove his tuxedo jacket for the time being, folding it over his arm to carry instead.
“no, no, no klee! stop it! you can’t play with your things here, if you blow things up-”
“-master jean will put me in solitary confinement…”
oho, kaeya recognises these two voices very well. he finds it so hilarious that at the end, his feet lead him right to you! not even a single thought was processed as he turned the corner two seconds ago but here you are.
he hides behind the large potted plant, listening to the conversation you and the beloved spark knight share. he stays there until it becomes quiet between you two.
“kaeya, you peacock, i know it’s you.”
kaeya lets out a baffled noise, finally showing himself from behind the plant, offended by the ridiculous nickname you gave him. “snowflake, how dare you?”
“klee, don’t eavesdrop on people like this man when you grow older, yeah?” you point animatedly at your lover, who’s folding his arms and scoffing at you.
klee only giggles, nodding her head. “i gotta go find albedo now!” you watch as she skips off towards the plaza, waving goodbye.
you then turn towards your next problem that stands behind you. “i thought you were out dancing?”
“i was, but they’ll start playing the last dance soon and how can my last dance not be with you?” your lover walks towards you, pulling you closer by your waist with his free arm. you immediately wrap your arms around his neck, smiling softly at his intentions.
you hear an announcement echoing from the plaza before you can reply, and you figure it might have been mika because of how timid the voice sounded.
“good evening everyone, please bring all your friends and company over for the last dance of the night!”
“sounds like our queue.” you slide your arms off his shoulder to grab his hand, pulling him with you without warning.
“oh snowflake, hold on-” kaeya almost trips on air and the sounds of your laughter bounce off the concrete floor and walls as you drag him down the staircase leading to the plaza.
childe
you can never refuse ajax’s request for a dance, because he won’t take no for an answer. especially when it comes to dancing. your feet hurt so much. you’re so ready to just fall on top of your bed and go to sleep. but the only thing that keeps you wide awake, heart pumping and everything is the look on your lover's face.
his gaze usually has this inhumane and dull look to them, but you find that whenever he looks at you or when he participates in something he loves, his gaze finally twinkles. it works so miraculously too. like all of a sudden life was returned to him and he could see.
the smile on your lips grows when you think about this. you think it’s sweet how you’re one of the reasons that the life in his eyes returns.
ajax notices the tighter grip you hold on his forearm, making his lips curl in curiosity. “what’s going on in your head, baby?”
you zone in on the situation, you’re still dancing, and you shake your head in response. “nothing, ajax.” you want to keep your thoughts to yourself but when ajax smiles at you like that, with the most expectant look on his face, you can’t help yourself. “actually, i just thought about the dance.”
he twirls you around to the music before connecting arms with you again. “you just thought about the dance?” his brow quirks in amusement.
“no, no not like that,” you say with a sheepish chuckle before continuing, “i just thought that this number is the longest one so far.”
“well of course,” ajax responds with an eye smile. “it’s the last song.”
“it… is?” you look up at ajax while trying to fight the urge to look anywhere else.
if this is the last song… and you’re dancing with him… then that can only mean-
when the choreography allows ajax to pull you against his chest, he leans down so he can whisper in your ear, “you will be my final dance partner tonight.”
kamisato ayato
these few days at fontaine have been strumming the strings of your heart like a guitar—ayato has been spending so much time with you that you’re beginning to think of such ridiculous conclusions. his eyes that linger on your face, his hand that hovers on the small of your back when leading you out of a hall and it’s just these little things that he does with you that makes you want to claw an entire curtain off its rod. one time he even poured you a glass of wine before taking a sip with the same glass—it’s like he’s forgotten he’s the yashiro commissioner!
thoma and ayaka barely bat an eye. but also, they’ve known ayato for much longer than you have since you were a recent (and lovely) addition to the little family. so… perhaps this is just how he acts?
“uh-huh, when he’s courting someone that is.”
the sentence that thoma said offhandedly is the only thing that rings through your mind. but your thoughts must’ve shone through your expression because ayato is quick on his feet to smoothly guide you off the dance floor, gloved hand still holding yours as he brings you to a less crowded area—the balcony.
“you appeared to be distracted, that’s why i pulled us away,” ayato breaks the silence and your train of thoughts.
he’s still holding my hand—is what you’re repeating in your head. your eyes can barely focus on a single object within your field of vision. your bottom lip quivers at the revelation you’re carefully starting to uncover.
“i am not distracted,” you inhale sharply when you accidentally meet ayato’s gaze. “i…” your brows crease as you try to get words out of your mouth.
ayato brings your hand up to his lips, placing a chaste kiss on the back of your hand and you can physically feel the blood rush up to your fingertips. “would my lady like to return to the hotel?”
your voice leaves your throat in but a hoarse whisper, “what did you just call me?”
you hear a chuckle from ayato and it makes you snap your head around in embarrassment. this new term of endearment rolls off his tongue way too easily, the rascal must have been practicing!
“oh no, no, no, my lady, you must look at me,” a grin appears on ayato’s face at your attempts to hide your expression and when he finally gets you to look at him, you’re caged between his arms.
“why would you call me that?” you whine at his teasing.
“well i just couldn’t keep it to myself anymore,” ayato murmurs, a dust of pink decorating his cheeks. “will you allow me to call you that?”
kaveh
three hours. it’s been three hours since you and kaveh decided to learn a cute couples dance routine ‘for funsies’. whose idea was this again? weren’t you two supposed to be just friends? doesn’t kaveh have a client meeting tomorrow that he should be preparing for?
“so we do this—then this and then we’re supposed to oh—!”
the silence is deafening. the song playing in the background fades as you both stare at each other, even mirroring the same expression. eyes as wide as saucers. lips just inches from connection.
kaveh’s breath fans over your lips and you can hear the audible gulp he makes at the closeness. he’s also entirely aware that the red in his cheeks has reached his ears by now. while you, on the other hand, have started hearing the percussion of your heart in your own eardrums.
“o-oh…” your legs are frozen in place and hang on a second, why haven’t either of you let go?
his hand is respectfully sat on your waist, while the other is occupied holding your hand. you hear him inhale and it grabs your attention before you can get anymore lost in his gaze. his gaze observes your lovely face, eyes flickering from one feature to another as he whispers, “has anybody ever told you you’re pretty up close?”
you shake your head ever so slightly. “no.”
kaveh likes this answer, humming as he ponders for a moment.
your eyes sparkle when that handsome smile of his appears on his lips. he chuckles shortly at your expression, your palm feels so warm when connected with his.
“i’m glad i’m the first to tell you.”
neuvillette
“oh dear, neuvillette,” you chuckle softly, walking towards him as he takes another sip of his water. he stands in a more secluded corner of the hall, briefly greeting guests with a nod of the head. which is why he stands out like a sore thumb—arctic white hair, designer blue suit and a piercing gaze.
but that gaze doesn’t fool you. the dragon sovereign is probably pondering on retiring for the night and is only still present to keep up with appearances.
“yes, lady y/n?” it’s to nobody’s surprise that he heard you from metres away.
when he turns around, your eyes immediately land on the problem you’ve sensed since you returned from the dancefloor.
“your tie,” you reply, standing in front of his figure, nonchalantly raising your hands in preparation to adjust the garment. “will you allow me to fix it?”
the gears in neuvillette’s mind pause abruptly at your question. he certainly has no problem readjusting his own tie. his hands aren’t holding anything else other than his cup of water—which he can definitely put down on a nearby table!
but why can’t he bring himself to say no?
the ‘of course’ leaves his lips faster than he would have liked, but that’s no matter, your expression shows no sign of displeasure. instead, he watches your sweet smile brighten.
when your fingers reach the tie, neuvillette notices how you tiptoe to reach him. so he does what any normal person would do—he leans down.
it catches you off guard, the tips of your fingers just slightly grazing against his neck in the process. you profusely apologise in whispers to which neuvillette can only chuckle at.
“it is no trouble lady y/n, i appreciate the kind gesture.” the corner of neuvillette’s lips curve, his hands neatly tucked behind him as he allows you to redo his tie.
neuvillette’s lips only seem to further break into a smile as he watches you pat on the tie in completion.
“there, all finished.” you look up at the iudex, chuckling, “you ought to learn how to do this yourself.”
neuvillette hums, “perhaps you could teach me.” he takes your hand, gently brushing his lips against your knuckles before kissing it. “but for now a dance shall suffice, would you care to join me?”

when your bf wants to experiment with you riding on top. he's gripping your thigh with one hand while the other holds the vibrating wand to your clit.
𓇼𓇼𓇼
The tv in the background plays a late night show on low, while you lay your cheek on his chest, one hand lazily rubbing small circles on his chest. He lays out on the bed, eyes on the tv. He’s got one hand behind his head and the other lightly massaging your hair. It’s moments like these that you love. It was just you two in the quiet world.
But the touching and massages always turn into something more. Especially when in the privacy in your bedroom you both are barely clothed in the first place. These moments always end in more heavy petting, where you both ruin the quiet air with raspy gasps and moans.
You're on his lap now, the both of you sat up. Your lips on his, mouths wet and moving in a dance. Your hands running through his hair, gripping his tresses desperately. His hands run down your back grabbing a handful of your ass, then up again to your back to pull you into him, getting your hips to move in a slow tandem on his growing bulge.
“Let’s try something different this time baby.” He says after pulling away from your lips, a small grin forming
“Like what?” You ask, going back to kiss his cheek then his jaw—
“Just stay on top and you’ll find out.” You pull away and raise an eyebrow at the suggestion. “Don’t worry, I promise you’ll like it.” He smiles innocently.
Except maybe you like it too much.
“Hahh, please!” you exclaim, feeling him buck up into you again. Hands flexing in the air, knowing you couldn't touch anywhere.
He’s got one hand around your thigh, squeezing every so often, while the other holds the wand still. You’re struggling to control your sounds when the powerful vibrations coming from your sex toy rubs on your mound. Then the force of his cock drives up again and you can't help but let out a scream. Your neighbors are sure to get a kick out this tonight.
“Remember you can’t touch, stay still baby.” he mutters, eyes watching what he can see himself move in and out of the tight grip you have on him.
You’re struggling keeping yourself upright, the stimulation of everything making your head fuzzy and your body shaking. He won’t relent on the pounding, you barely doing any of the work.
“Nngh, stop! Please! n’t take it anymore!” you cry, tears welling up, hands coming down to rest on his chest to keep yourself upright.
“I know, I know. Feels so good.” he coos at you, reveling in the erratic movements of your body, “You can take it.”
He moves the toy away and tosses it aside, both hands coming to grip your hips to hold you in place as he bucks deeper into you. Hitting that gooey spot over and over to help finish you off.
“Oh my god—I’m cumming, I’m cu–” you’re cut off from your words by the force of your orgasm, juices squirting out as your mouth opens in a silent scream. Your body jolting at the powerful contractions happening in your abdominal cavity.
“Oh baby, did you just squirt?” he lets out a small laugh as your arms give up and you fall forward onto his chest, sweaty and breathing heavily. All you can do is let out a quiet whimper.
“Hold on baby. I didn’t get to cum yet.”
toji, kento, satoru, eren, connie, armin, jean, suguru, isagi, yuta, kaeya, takuma, sae, ryusei, hanma…whoever else seems right to you

desc. how genshin characters sleep next to you!
notes. i love these ppl sm sobs
Tumblr media
they're so quiet. the only thing you can hear is their soft breath, maintaining a constant rhythm. they generally prefer to bury their head in your shoulder, but they're content just laying next to you. they're so easy to sleep next to. they probably completely shut off while they're asleep?? you will not feel a single thing. no water necessary. no bathroom breaks. they save feeling sick until the morning. in addition, a kiss on the forehead is the last thing you see before you fall asleep and the first when you wake up in the morning. all in all, they're super sweet—maybe, in a way, pretty old-fashioned. i give a 100/10.
lynette, tighnari, shenhe, XIAO, aether, ALBEDO, jean, EI, baizhu, KOKOMI, diluc, layla, ayato, ganyu
SO touchy. literally can't go more than ten seconds not being next to you. probably have a quiet, whispered conversation with you before bed—about anything at all. it's mostly to distract from the fact that they're feeling you up, but they still listen to every word you say. they mumble replies with a teasing voice as their fingers dance up your back, resting at your shoulder. nuzzling their head in your neck while lightly kissing you there. (maybe biting if they're into that...) if you want to get up to get water, they probably make you stay where you are so you stay comfy. they'll do everything for you. you want a massage at 3 in the morning? go ahead, ask. they won't refuse.
KAZUHA, zhongli, cyno, yae miko, BEIDOU, xinyan, lumine, LISA, keqing, candace, THOMA, kaeya
LOUD. that's all you really need to know—but you can barely sleep. it's like they don't need it. they'll stay up for hours on their phones, talking about the videos they're watching, what they did—anything at all that they can think of. you'd believe they'll eventually get tired and toss in the towel, but they could pull 10 all-nighters in a row if it meant you'd listen the whole time. other than that, they're usually pretty cuddly. They'll grab onto your arms and scrunch into a ball position, their knees nearly at their chest. They'll probably talk to you like that until they realized you've dozed off. Once they do, they kiss you on the nose and cuddle against you, letting out an unbelievably loud sigh. almost comically so. (it might wake you up and you'd have to fall asleep all over again...)
CHILDE, yoimiya, ITTO, heizou, yanfei, VENTI, hu tao, gorou, kirara
sarcastic and mean. can you even get more mean than these guys?? they (lovingly) insult and tease you before dragging you into the bed, tightly holding you against them. they'll most likely hold the back of your head by tangling their fingers in your hair, keeping you steady against their chest. to hear their breathing. they might give you a kiss on the forehead if you get lucky. if you decide to tease them by refusing this kiss, they'll probably spread their limbs across the bed to make sure you've got no room, and that you'll have to climb on top of them to be able to lay down comfortably. that's better than a kiss, in their opinion. you're wide open for sarcasm, teasing, and letting them be the meanies they are.
yelan, kaveh, SCARA, kuki shinobu, FARUZAN, dehya, KUJOU SARA, alhaitham, mona, ningguang

"hands off! I'm taken!" — diluc .
synopsis !! you pick up your drunk lover from the tavern
note !! I finally posted something! my schedule is still full but things should settle down more by september :> enjoy this fun fic!
contains !! gn reader, ft. kaeya and others! alcohol consumption, not proofread
Your lover rarely drinks. Scratch that, he doesn't drink at all if he could help it.
So whatever encouraged him to drink tonight of all nights was beyond you. It wasn't his shift in the bar, yet he insisted you shouldn't wait for him as he might come home late from the tavern. Apparently, he'll be meeting up with Kaeya, Jean, and a few others.
You're overjoyed, of course! It's not everyday your overworking lover decides to take a break and meet up with his old friends, much less those who are involved with the knights. You practically pushed him on his way to socialize and have fun.
Perhaps he had too much fun.
It was past midnight when you stopped by the tavern, seeing as you lived nearby anyway.
Diluc sat amongst a small crowd. You recognize them to be Kaeya, Jean, Lisa, Venti, and Rosaria, each nursing their own drink in their hands. What surprised you was that Diluc had a glass of his own— emptied, and that Kaeya was pouring him another round.
"Ah, it seems like your ticket home has arrived, D," Kaeya muses upon spotting you. The redhead only huffs in reply.
"What a joyous occasion! Come join us, (Name)!" Venti cheers, swinging around his large mug.
It's only when you approached the group did you notice your lover's unfocused eyes, glazed over as he blinks away at nothing.
"What did you do?" You raise an eyebrow, eyes narrowing suspiciously at Kaeya. The Cavalry Captain raises his hands in defense.
"You're accusing me? I'm hurt," He chuckles, "You and I both know he isn't so easy to trick into drinking."
You glance over at Jean, who gives you a sympathetic laugh, "It's true. Surprisingly, sir decided to drink tonight. It wasn't that much, I assure you."
"Wasn't that much, she says, yet he looks just about ready to pass out," Rosaria mutters, sipping on her own glass. You let out a sigh, seems like you'll be responsible for taking him home tonight. You're not bothered at all, in fact, you're a little glad he decided to let loose and have fun, no matter how unusual it seems.
If anything, it's a little funny to see him look gruff and cold, he doesn't even seem drunk until you notice the flush on his face and the spin in his eyes. Grabbing an empty glass and filling it with water from a pitcher, you gesture for the redhead to drink.
"Come on, 'Luc, drink some water and let's get you home."
He turns his head away to the side. You raise an eyebrow.
"'Luc, drink some water."
"No."
". . . You need to sober up–"
"No."
His head arcs further away from you, arms crossed. You glance at his face, is he. . . is he seriously pouting right now? Kaeya chuckles next to you. You aren't sure what kind of drunk shenanigan is going through his mind, but you decided to let it slide, opting to bring him home instead.
"Alright then, let's get out of here instead." With a hand on his shoulder, you gesture for him to stand but he wacks it away. Diluc? Your Diluc?? Wacked your hand away???
You blink at him before recovering to grab onto his arm, trying to pull him up, "Come on, 'Luc! We got to get you home!"
"No! Hands off!" He sluggishly pushes you, failing but he plops back onto his seat.
"What?"
"Hands off me! I'm taken!"
You freeze. The little group around you pauses as well. There's a loud snort in the air, presumably from Venti.
"Diluc, what?" You bite back your laugh. Laughing at the drunk is bad etiquette, you really shouldn't. You really, really shouldn't.
"I'm–" He slurs, facing you with a pointed look and a loopy glare, "Taken. Go find someone else to mooch."
Archons, help you not to burst out laughing in this situation.
Opting to giggle behind closed lips, you squat next to his chair, reaching out to cup his cheek but he scoots away from your touch.
"Diluc," You laugh, "It's me."
"Not- not interested."
"I'm literally your lover."
He blinks at you. You aren't sure if you got through him but he immediately stands upright, wobbling from the action. You catch him by the waist for support.
"Woah there, are you ready to go?"
"I'm going-" He tests his steps, "Going home to my darling, (Name)." With shaky hands, he pushes you aside, "I told you I have a lover!"
A loud laugh starts from behind you. Kaeya hunches over the table, gripping his stomach as the rest try to hide their chuckles behind their hands.
"Oh dear, my dear brother," The cryo user stands, wiping a tear from his eye, "Seems like you truly had too much tonight. This person here is assigned to take you to (Name)." The sly smile on Kaeya's face tells you to play along.
Diluc rubs at his eyes, everything seems to swirl, "Really?"
"Yes."
". . . Alright then."
Was he really that easy to trick? Your jaw could've dropped open. As expected of Kaeya who naturally dealt with all of Diluc's drunk shenanigans.
"Let's go then. . ." Diluc mumbles, glancing at you, "But no touching."
At his first step, he nearly trips over his feet if it wasn't for you grabbing onto his arm. You wrap it over your shoulder, pulling him upright.
"Surely, it's alright if I hold onto your arm?" You try to reason.
". . . Okay."
With a side glance at Kaeya and the rest, you nod them goodbye as they wave their pleasantries. Now that you're outside the tavern, you decide to take your drunk lover to your home nearby, a place he's frequently visited.
"Honestly, whatever made you drink so much tonight. . ." You huff, grabbing onto him and trying to get him to walk normally.
"My lover, you see. . ." He trails off.
"What about your lover?" You can't help but prod. Surely, you haven't done something wrong, right?
"Everything. . . Everything about them." Diluc mumbles, a sigh escaping him, "Just— amazing."
You can't help the way your lips sorts into a smile.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"That must be nice. Is that why you don't want to go home with me?" You can't help but tease as he glowers, turning his face to get a better look at you. You notice the way his eyes look clearer now.
". . . As mentioned, I–" A groan, "Am devoted to my lover, no matter how charming you look."
"Mhmm, sure, yeah." You laugh, taking in his compliment, "You're devoted, alright."
"It's true–" He pushes away from you to fumble with his coat in an enthusiasm that's only seen when he's drunk, "Would you like to see the ring?"
Ring? What ring? You freeze in your steps as he digs into his pockets, pulling out an enclosed little box with intricate carvings. He opens it to reveal a ring– one you've only ever dreams of having (and receiving from him). The details, a testament to how much he knows what you like, while mixing in his own interests.
Your heart skips a beat.
"'Luc–"
"Archons, I'm nervous," He groans into his hand, carefully closing the box despite his drunken mannerisms, "I can't even– can't even sleep at night thinking about it."
You're still in shock as you gaze up at him. Sure, you've talked about a future together, but it always felt so far away— Diluc was too busy, always with something else to prioritize and it didn't seem like the right time for him no matter how right it was for you.
"Is. . . Is that why you drank?"
He looks at you with a raised brow, "Nervousness is one thing. I needed everyone's advice as well." Your heart flutters, was he ever this thoughtful? The answer is yes. You reach out to him again, hands as shaky as his own, but yours shook in happiness.
"Diluc, I—"
He lurches, a heaving sound down his throat as if threatening to puke. You reach out, holding onto him again with a small laugh, "Alright, alright, let's get you home first, Luc."
He groans in reply, voice wobbly and weak, "I'm. . . taken. . . "
"I know, my love."
Sunshine filters into the bedroom and Diluc shuffles under the covers. His head was throbbing, his throat felt dry, he's reminded again why he never drinks.
Grape juice is definitely better. Grape juice is yummy. Why can't he make a grape juice relaxant? He sure as heck can, what's his money for if he can't fund an entire academic foundation focusing on the production of anxiety-calming juice?
Before he could even begin to think about the business prospects and expenses to spare, your footsteps catches his attention as you enter the room.
"Slept well?"
He brushes his hair back, sitting up groggily, "I've had better nights."
"Here, have some water." You gesture to the cup in your hands to which he drinks from obediently.
"Thank you."
"I'm just glad that you're allowing me to offer you water." You bite back a chuckle.
"What?"
Standing up with a hum and a shrug, you turn away from him, "I don't know. Last night, you wouldn't even let me touch you."
His eyebrows furrow together, "That's ridiculous. Why would I do that?"
"Apparently, you have a lover, and I was trying to tempt you away into my home~"
Diluc freezes like a deer in the headlights, heat rushing up his face, turning it a shade as red as his hair, "I. . . said that?"
You laugh, turning towards him as you begin to explain everything that happened in the tavern and how his friends reacted. This only helped to worsen his embarrassment.
"I'm going to kill Kaeya. . ." he mutters under his breath, hiding away his face before peeking at you, "And then I suppose you walked me home? Did I. . . say anything after?"
You spotted the way his eyes glance to his coat, hanging by the door. Your lips twitch into a smile.
"Nope. You were quiet the whole way home."
You can't wait to embarrass him even more after his proposal.

Almost a week has passed and you haven’t spoken a single word to Kuni in that time. You’ve been rather busy doing streams with your camera on but pretending to be okay with millions of your fans watching was beginning to look difficult. You received a few confused texts from Jean when she saw your reveal, but she didn’t question you further than that.
Class became burdensome as you could only stare longingly at the back of Kuni’s head. He arrived right on time and left without bidding your farewell. He never even turned his head in your direction. He wasn’t being outwardly mean but you’d rather have him yell at you then pretend you didn’t exist.
Childe had texted you that morning updating you on Kuni. He was in the same boat as you, ignoring his meals and plunging all his energy into work.
You follow him out of class that day.
It took you a while to find him, his monotone outfit blending in with every other student. But you eventually caught up and grabbed ahold of his backpack, causing him to stumble before turning back. He flinches at the sight of you.
“Hey,” you greet, “Can we talk?”
He reaches out to remove your hand from his backpack and shakes his head, about to turn around before you speak up once more. Desperate.
“Please?”
Kuni stares past you for a few seconds, an unreadable expression adorning his face.
“Didn’t I ask you to leave me alone?” he eventually says, his voice lacking any warmth it once held before. How could the same lips uttering such cruel words be the same ones that were on you skin mere days ago? Your stomach was sinking.
“Yes,” you lamely answer. It felt like you were being scolded like a child, “I just thought I’d check on you.” Screw Childe for giving you false hope.
“I don’t need you to check on me,” he spits, “I don’t need you.”
Now you were the one who flinched.
“You don’t mean that,” you eventually say as students mill past.
Scara opens his mouth to say something else but quickly closes his lips shut.
“I said give me time so I don’t say something I regret,” he sighs, “Bye,” he mutters and shoves past you.

author’s notes — if you rmbr when i accidentally posted this no u don’t (gaslighting)
synopsis — you, better known as STARDUST, and BALLADEER have always been in competition for the top streamer spot on twitch, which is especially impressive since the two of you have never shown your faces. you’ve never been on good terms, constantly one-upping each other in matches and getting into petty arguments on twitter, causing your fans to also dislike each other. that’s until BALLADEER does a face reveal that breaks the internet with his good looks…which makes you realize it’s the same guy you went on a date with last night. the type of date that made you crave to see him again. the only problem was he didn’t know you were STARDUST and he was way different behind the lens than he portrayed himself online to you. should you keep your identity a secret to salvage the relationship or just let him go?

Hello hello!
Could I request a sub!kaeya, sub!diluc, sub!venti, and a sub!xiao (separately pls) with a gentle dom! reader who degrades them will in the verge of their release please? Have a good morning/day/evening/night!<3
|・ω・`)ノ a/n : super sorry for taking so long to do this request! also i’m vry excited someone asked for venti cause i haven’t written for him even though he is a fave of mine
✰ Don’t be mean .. !
[ Featuring ] -> Kaeya, Diluc, Venti and Xiao x Reader
cw : f1ngering, degradation, use of slut and wh0re, h*ndjobs, thigh job, after care, a tiny bit of fluff
Kaeya Alberich
Tumblr media
He whines
Pouts afterwards but both of you know that your degrading words only go straight to his c*ck
He’s a bit surprised to here such words come from you, a normally very gentle lover.
But he’s even more surprised at how much he enjoyed being called such dirty names.
Tumblr media
Kaeya doesn’t exactly know how he got here, bent over his office desk, drool staining unimportant documents, and your fingers inside him. But he couldn’t care less about what caused this turn of events, his only focus being the heat rising in his lower half.
Feeling him squeeze around your fingers, a sign that he was close, you lean down to press your chest flush against his back, your hot breath tickling his ear as you whispered.
“Squeezing me so tight yeah? such a slut, how’d you think master jean would feel if she knew her captain was such a whore?”
Letting out a high pitched whine while mumbling something about being your slut, he came all over the hard wood desk.
Let’s just say having to explain the missing documents was not apart of your regular after care routine.
Diluc Ragnvindr
Tumblr media
This man will straight up defend himself 😭😭
He would be like “i’ve been a good boy!” or “m’not a slut” while letting out the sluttiest moans
But despite the protest he quite enjoys the change in language
The poor man just needs some self preservation
“ n-no! v’been good, need to ah- need to cum~”
He begged as you teased him while on the verge of release. You could hear the wet sounds coming from your stroking his cock with vigour.
“hmm I don’t know, do you really deserve to cum?” You further egged him on, no real intention to deny his orgasm.
“yes yesyesyes-YESS” he answered for you, finally cumming all over you hand.
Despite cumming without your explicit permission, you still treated Diluc with tender love and care as he bathed in the aftmath of his orgasm.
“You were so good for me” you assured him he did in fact deserve every bit of your affection.
Venti
Tumblr media
For someone meant to be worshipped, he sure loves being talked down to
Though he loves your praise, it’s nothing he hasn’t heard already
So hearing you call him nasty names is exciting, he wants nothing more than to be beneath you
Also there’s no way such a mischievous man doesn’t have a thing for degradation, he’s practically asking for it
He’s grabbing on to your hips insanely tight as he frantically thrust himself between your soft thighs. As he presses his face into your back you can feel the vibrations of all the moans he’s letting out.
His cock slides effortlessly between your thighs aided by a mixture of your spit, and a abnormal amount of pre-cum.
“ahh mhh yess i’m close~” you hear his muffled whines from behind you.
“your such dirty boy aren’t you? it’s almost pathetic, humping my thighs like this?”.
Though your words harsh, your tone remained soft and caring, which almost made it more patronising.
Fueled on by your words he finally came, his cum mixing into the wet pool between your legs as he continues to thrust himself through his orgasm. <3
Xiao
Tumblr media
Unlike Diluc he accept anything you say
You called him a bad boy? he will make it up to you and beg for your forgiveness, You called him a slut? then he’s your whore
Why would he care about self preservation when you’re the only one he wants to please
It’s something about the control you assert when you degrade him that gets him going
The way he’s fucking up into your hand is mesmerising, his abs flexing as he desperately chases after his high
“Look how desperate you are, who knew that this mighty adepti was such a slut~”
“Aah yes, mm your slut~ shit- just f’you!” He babbled, getting closer and closer to his orgasm. You weren’t even moving your hand at this point, you simply kept it still as he bucked up into it, producing a lewd squelching noise.
He let out one last loud moan as he came, his cum landing on his chest and dribbling down your hand.
After riding his high the adeptus did something he hadn’t done in a very long time, falling straight to sleep.
Once you finished admiring his adorable fucked out form, you make sure to grab a warm towel to clean up, loving being able to take care of him without any of his protests.
the end _(:3 」∠)_

Caught in the Act - Kaeya
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#kaeya x m!reader #smut, fluff #kaeya my baby, my first main dps
#warnings: overstimulation, vibrators, misunderstandings, dubcon-ish(?)
You weren't doing anything at the moment and you were bored to death. What to do? You thought to yourself as you sighed in boredom. Your annoying of an ass roommate, Kaeya, was out to fuck with someone. Luckily, you were glad he was out or you'd be screaming at Kaeya because for one sole reason: you have nothing to do.
And you knew that it never ended well. Kaeya would always shout back at you, yelling why it wasn't his fault in the first place.
"Ayo! I'm fuckin' bored! Why are you here?!"
"Fucker, I'm literally you're roommate. If you don't like that, then suffer!"
That's one of the many arguments you two had when you were bored as hell. You had no one to yell at currently, making you whine in complaint. You groaned as you thrashed about in annoyance. Ugh! What do I do? You thought. Until, Albedo decided to text you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You sigh in defeat, knowing there was no way in hell Albedo was gonna change his mind. What he wants is what he gets. Without second-guessing, you decided to get changed into some jeans and a baggy shirt. Not bothering to check if it was yours or Kaeya's. It was just folded there and the easiest reach so, you just took it.
Then, you wore your converse and finally walked out of the dorm with heavy shoulders. Albedo's dorm was just nearby which was one of the reasons why you happened to have met Albedo. Finally arriving at his dorm, you knocked on the door. When you heard a loud 'M/N? Come in!', you entered and closed the door behind you, sitting on one of the bean bags.
Then, later, the said male emerged from the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel that was draped around his waist. You looked at him from top to bottom then smirked before purring teasingly. "Mi—yaow."
Albedo just rolled his eyes and took some clothes to change into, not dealing with your shit as he groaned. You just chuckled as you began to scroll through your phone, waiting for Albedo to finish changing. You were busy reading through weekly gossips and celebrity news, you failed to notice the other male grab something from under his bed.
Only then were you snapped back to reality when he had tossed you something quite plastic. You flinched then looked down at your lap, inspecting it thoroughly. Finally realizing what it was after looking at it with wide eyes, you shrieked and stood up, dropping the remote-controlled vibrator.
Albedo laughed loudly, snorting in the process as he stared at your bewildered look. "O-Oh my g-god. I didn't expect you to react like that."
You rolled your eyes at your friend’s loudass laugh as you took the box and gave it to him. "Ha ha, very funny, Albedo. Now, what did you want to give me?" You said as you stared at the item then wincing. Wow, this is my first time seeing an adult toy this close. You thought before looking back at Albedo who blinked twice.
The other raised a brow and pointed at the box with a chuckle. "That."
You scoffed in disbelief before crossing your arms and your legs, glaring at Albedo. "I told you that this better not be a sick joke. Goodness, what did I even expect from you," you stated with an offensive tone as you placed the box on the bed and was about to exit but you heard Albedo sigh. So, you looked back, only to regret it.
"W-Well, that's my latest work. I just wanted to see if it was good," he stated as he fiddled with his fingers, as if to make himself look pitiable. And he did it well. You suddenly had the urge to slap him but you stopped yourself before groaning and slumping your shoulders in defeat.
"Okay, fine. Quit that pouty lips and face," you stated as you snatched the box back and saw a wide smiled Albedo. "But this will be the only time I'll be testing such things. If you ask me to do this favor again, I'm not saying 'yes', ever."
"Okay, okay," Albedo answered as he ushered you out of his room.
You just rolled your eyes then nodded. "I'll tell you how it is once I'm done with it. Although, I have to tell you, I'm not used to this thing."
"That's alright. I've placed instructions inside," the other stated as he waved goodbye and finally walked back inside his room. You shook your head then proceeded to your own shared room with Kaeya, hoping he's still not finished with his 'appointment'.
Tumblr media
Then, you entered the room, silence falling upon you. Oh, Kaeya's still not back. You smiled to yourself as you kicked your shoes off then went to the bathroom. You closed it behind you and looked at the box with judgeful eyes. "Wow. What a nice way to name it. 'Ass go Brr Brr', vibrators designed for males. Really, Albedo?"
You shrugged it off and opened the box carefully, just wanting to get things over with. Once out of the box, you saw that it was a wireless vibrator so that was good. Are these two connected through bluetooth or something?
Then, you hesitantly removed your pants and boxers before looking back at the 'toy'. You hopped off of your pants and grabbed the instructions pamphlet to see how the vibrator works. You were an amateur with adult toys, though you have masturbated once in a while—especially when the thick sexual tension between you and Kaeya was too much to handle.
"Hm, first, turn the remote on to see if it works. If not, you may freely call the seller and ask a refund," you read then looked back at the things on his right hand. You shrugged before taking the small remote and turned it on, flinching when you felt the vibrator go off on your hand. There was barely any noise, only vibrations.
That's a plus point, I guess. You thought as you looked back at the instructions after you had turned the vibrator off. "Next, insert the vibrator into your hole. Locate your good spot and turn the remote on."
That was the last instruction.
You did as what the instructions said but it sure hurt as hell. You weren't used to this but you managed, letting out a small whimper at the pain as you finally pulled your fingers out. Then, you turned the remote on at level one, flinching when it began vibrating inside you, your flaccid dick becoming hard at the pleasure.
You softly moaned as you held onto the remote tightly with one hand and the other holding onto the counter top tightly. Fuck, this feels good. You thought as you turned it to a higher setting. You let out a shocked gasp as you shuddered in ecstasy and felt the pleasure rising in your veins. You held onto your erect member and began jerking off at a fast pace, wanting to seek release. You groaned at the pleasure and arched your back as you began letting out small moans. "A-Ah~"
Then, your hand that was holding onto the remote slipped, turning the vibrator on to its highest setting, making you let out a yelp and cum hard with a dragged-out moan.  You immediately turned the vibrator off as you looked at your cum-stained hand. You sighed and slumped on the counter as you grabbed some tissues and cleaned the counter and your cum-covered hand.
After, you prompted to take it off but when you tried to, you couldn't seem to get it out. "You have got to be—ah—kidding me," you mumbled as you bent down and tried to get the vibrator. "Ugh!"
You stood back up and exited the bathroom in frustration and laid down on your bed, your chest pressed against the futon, you ass facing towards the door and up as you tried to get the vibrator from your hole "Ah, fuck.."
It was no use.
And the least expected, happened. "I think I need Kaeya," you called out. The door suddenly creaked open, making you snap your head towards the door, two fingers still in your ass as you stared at a wide-eyed Kaeya. You blinked twice before shaking your head. "K-Kaeya, it's not what it looks like."
Kaeya smirked as he crossed his arms and stood in front of you after he had closed and locked the door behind him. "Hm. I didn't know you were into these things, M/N. Who would've thought? Moaning my name as you masturbated? Even wearing my shirt? What a bitch. Were you horny for me, huh?"
So it was his shirt. You thought, now realizing it was Kaeya's.
"N-No, it's not what it looks like—hey!" You shouted at the other as you watched Kaeya snatch the remote from you. "Look, let me explain. Albedo asked me to test it out so I did and—AH FUCK!" You arched your back in shock and pleasure as you gripped onto Kaeya's hand out of instinct. You looked up at Kaeya who looked like he was enjoying himself as he turned the dial. "T-Turn it o-off. Mm~."
"Doesn't look like you want me to, M/N," Kaeya stated as he watched you squirm on the bed as you covered your mouth to muffle out your pitched moans. Kaeya rolled his eyes and removed your lanky hand from your mouth. "I want to hear you, M/N. Don't cover your mouth."
You bit your bottom lip as you watched him turn the dial to a higher setting. You let out a groan as you began to grind your hard member onto the mattress. "K-Kaeya..t-turn..Mm—Ah~."
"God, hearing you call my name like that is turning me on," Kaeya stated as he stood up and began to unbuckle his pants. You stared in shock as you watched the other strip himself off of his pants.
"B-But..you..had sex..?" You asked, your mind clouded with pleasure, making you unable to form any coherent sentences as of the moment. Kaeya could just smirk as he watched you squirm and fist the sheets tightly.
"Tsk. Nope, so coming back to this was a wonderful sight," the blue-haired male chuckled deeply as he dropped his pants and kicked it off, his obvious bulge evident on his Calvin Klein boxers. You stared at the other's clothed member, shocked at the obvious giant outline. "What are you waiting for?"
"This...f-first time.." you managed to say as you let out small moans, stabilizing yourself with Kaeya's help. Kaeya let out an amused scoff as he sat on the bed, in front of you as moans escaped your pouty mouth. You looked up at Kaeya who wiped the bottom of your lip and leaned in to kiss you feverishly, as if he needed it.
You began to tear up at the pleasure as you gasped when Kaeya turned it to the highest level unexpectedly. Kaeya used this as an advantage to insert his tongue inside your mouth, hoping to exploring your wet cavern. You continued to let out sinful moans which satisfied Kaeya who groaned as he cupped your cheeks, pulling you closer to him.
You moaned at the feeling. This was the first time you have ever had something so intimate and you felt so good. Though shaking, you voluntarily sat on the other's lap and began to grind on him as your tongues swirled together in rhythm. Kaeya hummed as he held your hips, making sure you wouldn't fall back.
Moments later, Kaeya pulled back to let you breath since you were starting to grow red. You stared at him through half-lidded eyes then placed your head on his shoulder. "K-Kaeya.."
Kaeya smirked as he laid down on the bed and turned you around so your ass was in front of his face while his clothed dick was in front of your wet lips. "You're so hot, M/N."
You just bit your lip as you reached for Kaeya's boxers, only to stop as a gasp escaped your mouth when the older licked a stripe from your perfectly shaved balls to your clenching entrance. "Wh-What..?"
"To get you ready, babe. Don't want you hurting later," Kaeya stated as he placed soft kisses on your smooth, milky inner thighs which sent you into a delirium. You didn't know how sensitive your body was until now. One small touch from the older was enough to set you on fire.
You let out small moans before finally focusing on pushing Kaeya's boxers down with trembling hands, his member springing free, almost hitting your face. You stared at it in shock. This big thing had fit inside a person's—"Are you gonna suck on it or not?"
You realized that Kaeya had finally turned the vibrator off, which made it easier for you to move. "I-I will it's just...it's too big. Will it fit my mouth? I've never sucked dick before."
Kaeya rolled his eyes and scooted down a bit. Then, he engulfed your erect cock inside his mouth, making you gasp loudly and moan as you accidentally gripped on the other's cock tightly, earning you a groan from him. "A-Ah! K-Kaeya, oh my g-god."
Kaeya smirked as he sucked on your dick like a pro. He hollowed his cheeks as he began to bob his head, up and down, groaning at the reactions he was receiving from you who jacked him off. You curled your toes in pleasure as you let out moans through your gritted teeth, loosening your tight grip on the male’s dick.
Kaeya continued to swirl his tongue on your red tip, laying it flat as he moved from the tip to the base. You arched your back as you fastened your pace on jerking Kaeya's member off who began bobbing his head in rhythm. "Oh fuck.."
The slurping sounds and the way Kaeya sucked on your dick was enough for you to come, but you whined in disappointment when the other male suddenly stopped and removed your dick from his mouth with a pop. "Wh-What? I-I was near—"
"Now, do as I did," Kaeya demanded as he went back to your entrance and removed the vibrator with ease. What the hell?! You thought as you let out a whimper as soon as the vibrator was out. As Kaeya licked on your puckered hole, you began working your mouth on his dick by placing butterfly kisses on his dick before opening your mouth and poking your tongue out to lick on a vein.
You started to lick on the other's member teasingly, making Kaeya growl. "Quit teasing, baby. I hate that. Now, be a dear and just suck my dick."
"I would if it wasn't this enormous!" You shouted back, annoyed. Kaeya's chest swelled with pride at the statement and smirked. "Just wait for my cue and be quiet!"
He just shrugged as he continued to lick on your pink hole. It seemed like Kaeya was enjoying this and you were yet to know how to fit that ginormous dick in your mouth. However, you opened your mouth and inserted the tip inside your mouth, swirling your tongue on it, licking the pre-cum that seeped through Kaeya's dick.
"Fuck. Keep going, baby," Kaeya mumbled as he grabbed your ass cheeks tightly, bringing it closer to him as he began to eat your ass out. You moaned at that and slowly took a few more inches past your lips. As you did, you could already feel your jaw go slack. Whoever blessed Kaeya with such length, you was sure he was a favorite. Your mouth was too small for this big dick.
Kaeya's dick wasn't even halfway in when you felt it hit the back of your throat, making you gag. Hollowing your cheeks, you bobbed your head just as how the other male did it. You jerked off the inches you couldn't reach with your right hand as you continued to suck on the older's dick. You then stabilized yourself using your elbows as you continued to suck on the other's dick.
"Shit, baby. You sure you've never done this before? You sure learn fast for a virgin," Kaeya complimented as he smirked and inserted his tongue inside your hole. You moaned at that, making Kaeya grunt at the vibrations as he continued to lap away on your hole. The wet muscle in your hole made you moan as you fastened your pace.
You continued to let out pitched moans as Kaeya ate you out like five-star meal and if you didn't know better, you felt like you were on cloud nine. He inserted his tongue past the ring of muscle, exploring the depths of your tight heat. You let out a muffled moan as you pushed your ass back on Kaeya's face, fucking yourself with his tongue. The pleasure was taking over your mind and body, heating it up. It felt ecstatic that you began to grind your ass onto Kaeya's face as you continued to suck his length.
You were about to lose your mind when suddenly, Kaeya moved his own legs, hitting your elbows, making you lose your balance, forcing you to take Kaeya's whole length. Your eyes widened in shock.
You let out a choked and gagged sound as you felt tears prick your eyes, while Kaeya howled out, letting out a satisfied moan as he felt you deepthroat him. You could feel his cock at the back of your throat and it was starting to hurt. You tried to get up but there was no backing out now. You wanted to pleasure him like how he was making you feel ecstatic.
With your eyes filled with tears, you continued to suck Kaeya's cock, moaning when he suddenly inserted a finger inside your hole as he continued to rim your entrance. Wanting to repay the favor, you tried your best to fit every inch of his cock inside of your mouth and stayed in that position. Although you gagged, you tried to endure it just for the sole purpose of pleasuring Kaeya.
You swallowed around his cock as you began to moan around his dick in pleasure. Your throat tightened around the other's dick which sent him into a euphoric state. Now, he was starting to doubt that this was your first time.
Later, you had finally adjusted to his dick and began to suck more as you moaned at Kaeya's tongue and fingers. By now, there were already 3 fingers inside of your hole, hitting your prostate dead on. You let out a dragged out moan as you came on the shirt Kaeya was wearing. Just that sight alone drove Kaeya to the edge. "Fuck baby, I'm gonna cum."
You just nodded, not exactly hearing Kaeya as you continued to suck faster. Seconds after, you felt Kaeya's warm seeds travel through your throat, making you gasp and pull back. As you did, you swallowed the cum that had managed to drop inside your mouth while the other spurts had hit your face.
You sighed as you sat up, thinking it was finally over but Kaeya had other plans. Kaeya removed you off of him and sat up before settling you on his lap, letting you grind your bare ass on his still erect member. "You still good, M/N?" Kaeya asked you with concern laced in his voice.
You, although tired, nodded as you looked at Kaeya. He groaned as he stared at your cum-stained face, you blushed profusely as you looked away. He made you face him, making you close your eyes as the other began to lick his own cum off of your handsome face. Then, he pulled away and stared at your saliva-coated lips. "K-Kaeya..please kiss me."
Kaeya smiled as he kissed you, fastening your pace on grinding your ass on his dick. You began to swirl your tongues together before pulling away, a string of saliva connecting your tongues. Kaeya wiped it away with the back of his hand and smirked as he caressed your left cheek, making you lean into his touch.
He fumbled through his jacket and got some lube that he hid inside his jacket's pocket. "Y-You carry that around with you?"
"Well, duh," Kaeya stated a matter of factly as he popped the lid open and placed a generous amount on his dick. You blushed as you hid your face on the other's chest. "Aw, are you being shy?"
"N-No. I just...I'm doing this with you and we're both roommates," you answered, holding back the moan that tried to escape your mouth when you heard the slick sounds coming from Kaeya's dick as he jerked himself off. "Won't that be awkward between us?"
Kaeya shook his head and raised your head to face him again. "Why? Do you not like this? We could stop—"
"No!" You answered rather too eagerly as you shook you head and looked down at his chest. "I-I mean, no...I mean you go bang others..."
"Obviously," Kaeya stated which made you let out a small 'oh', but Kaeya chuckled as he raised your head again. "But I'll stop if you tell me, too."
You looked straight into Kaeya's eyes then pursed your lips as you thought ofnit for a while. "W-Will you?"
"Of course."
You just smiled as you nodded. You leaned closer to initiate a kiss as you felt Kaeya's dick in between your ass cheeks and grinded on it as he moaned. Kaeya took too long to process everything but once he did, he immediately kissed back and held your ass firmly.
Waiting for the next thing, you hooked your arms on the other's neck before pulling away. "Please don't hurt me."
"I won't, baby," Kaeya stated as he kissed away the salty tears that escaped your beautiful (E/C) eyes. Then, he lifted your hips and lined his member on your puckered hole. He hissed as he felt his member poke at your hole and it took all of Kaeya to not fuck you roughly then and there. "I'm going in, M/N. You good?"
You nodded and held onto the other's shoulders, before finally hugging him, burying your head into his neck, inhaling the mixture of his natural scent and musky perfume. Slowly, Kaeya entered and heard you whimper in pain. "K-Kaeya."
It took all of Kaeya's willpower to not fuck your brains out when he heard you call out his name like that. He groaned as he passed through your tight ring of muscle. You dug your nails on Kaeya's shoulder, making Kaeya grunt as he pushed deeper. "Fuck. You're so tight, baby. Calm down. I'm not even halfway in yet."
You jolted as you hugged Kaeya tighter. "You've got to be kidding me."
"I wish I was, kitten, but I'm not," Kaeya stated as he pushed his dick even deeper, you began to tear up as you gritted your teeth and winced in pain. "Sorry, babe. Only a few more inches."
You nodded as you kissed the other to distract yourself from the pain. Kaeya pushed through your tight hole until he bottomed out, making him groan and for you to let out a small gasp. Seriously? That fucking giant dick managed to fit inside of me?
You opened your mouth as you let Kaeya invade your warm cavern with your tongue. You let out a small whimper as Kaeya caressed your sensitive body as he waited for you signal. Wanting to pleasure you more, Kaeya pulled back and moved to place wet kisses on your shoulder and neck, marking you with red-purplish bruises as he went. As he did, he lifted your hips up then back down slowly, not wanting to shock you.
"Mm~," you moaned as you let Kaeya remove the shirt you were wearing. You widened your eyes as you let out a gasp as Kaeya began to play with your erect nipples. "Oh..ooh. Fuck, Kaeya.."
"Yes? I love it when you moan my name like that," Kaeya admitted as he began to bounce you faster on his dick. You moaned as you held onto Kaeya's shoulder's for support. "Fuck, so tight, baby."
You moaned down loudly as you looked at Kaeya who's top was still on. You whined as you tugged on Kaeya's shirt. "Off."
Kaeya, hearing your request, nodded as he stopped his movements and removed his shirt. You marveled at his body as you unexpectedly began to bounce yourself on his dick. "Oh wow. Are you that excited now, baby?"
You nodded eagerly as you held the older's shoulder and started to ride Kaeya's dick, trying to find your good spot. But, Kaeya wasn't having it. He pushed you down on the bed, pushing your legs onto your chest for easy access and slammed into your prostate spot on, making you throw your head back with a choked moan escaping your mouth. "Holy shit, babe."
"K-Kaeya..faster! Fuuck~," you pleaded as you placed your arms around Kaeya's neck. Kaeya complied as he fucked your ass faster, drilling his dick hard into your ass and every thrust hit your prostate dead on. You screamed loudky every time as you saw stars in your vision and could only see white clouding your mind. Your mouth was hanging open as you let Kaeya fuck your brains out.
"Shit. Your face is so lewd, I don't think one round's enough," Kaeya stated. Hearing that, you looked at Kaeya who pulled his dick out slowly until only his tip was inside you. You were about to protest but you let out a shriek as you curled your toes and scratched the other's back at the sudden pleasure as he thrusted back in with a loud slam.
Kaeya's tip had hit your prostate and you loved it so much. He repeated that a few more times before you came with a loud 'cumming!'. "Wow. Cumming untouched? What. A. Fucking. Slut." Kaeya stated, each word corresponding a slap to your ass cheeks. You just moaned as you rolled your tongue out in pleasure.
Kaeya just smirked as he continued to drill his dick into your ass. Your arms that were on Kaeya's neck fell onto the sheets which you fisted as you continued to moan at the addicting feeling. "W-Wait..Ah~! K-Kaeya," You dragged out a moan as you felt Kaeya go even faster. "T-Too much, K-Kaeya. I-I...just—mm~—came—AH! Hmm~!"
The sloppy sounds that Kaeya heard as he fucked you only turned him on even more, going at an animalistic pace which sent you over the edge. You now had your eyes rolled back and your tongue out as you cried out in pleasure, too much pleasure.
Kaeya didn't care if he was overstimulating you too much. This was his first time with a virgin and it was a fun sight to see you this lewd when you were always a loud shouting alarm every day. You began to buck your ass in rhythm with Kaeya's thrust, making you moan deeply as you threw your head back in pleasure.
Something about you made Kaeya's heart flutter whenever he heard your moans. He asked you a question but he chuckled once he saw your tongue out and eyes rolled back, lost in the pleasure.
"Hmm..Hah..Ah..Oh my.." You muttered as you teared up in pleasure, now clearly in fucked dumb. All these first times was with you and he sure as hell wouldn't waste you. Besides, he liked you so much.
The bed creaked underneath you two as Kaeya pulled out and slammed back many times, hitting your prostate. You began to moan loudly, not minding if anyone could hear your sinful moans. This pleasure was too ecstatic that you began to sob and cry out in pleasure.
Wow. Who knew? Kaeya thought as he placed more hickeys on your chest, shoulders, and neck even managing to place one on your jaw. You began clamping on Kaeya's dick as he wanted Kaeya to finally release inside you.
Luckily, Kaeya was nearing his climax and it took him a few more thrusts until he had released inside of you as you moaned and came for the fourth time that day. "Fuck!" Kaeya exclaimed as he threw his head back, his dick hitting the deepest part inside of you as he released inside of you, filling you to the brim which made you feel full.
Kaeya panted as he rode out his high and pulled you up, gently. You winced when Kaeya's dick was drove deeper. "You good, M/N?"
"F-Feels good. T-Tummy..inside.." you stated as you chuckled and poked your stomach. Clearly, you still weren't in the right state of mind so he chuckled and pulled out slowly, not wanting to hurt you more. You whimpered at the loss and moaned as Kaeya's cum dripped out of your hole. "Nooo~! I-It's dripping.."
Kaeya just smiled as he pushed you away from him gently. You whined. He grabbed some wet wipes and carefully cleaned you. Then, Kaeya stood up, which made you pout. "Wh-Where..?"
"I'll just go fill the tub so we could clean up," Kaeya stated as he grabbed two bathrobes, giving the other one to you while he wore the other.
-----
You and Kaeya both sat on your beds, not bothering to look nor speak to each other. You were always dressed in baggy clothes as you read a book, while Kaeya was only in boxers as he laid down, scrolling through his feed.
You would steal glances at Kaeya's way once in a while, sending him hints and signals before looking away and sighing. Seriously? Are we just going to act like nothing happened between us? So, you sighed in defeat and stood up as you closed the book you were reading, you took your phone and was about to exit but heard Kaeya. "Where are you going this late at night?"
"Albedo's. I'm sure he's still awake. I was just—"
"Well, whatever it is you want to tell him, just text him or just tell him tomorrow because I know it can wait until tomorrow," Kaeya stated as he looked at you then back at his phone. "There's no way you're getting out of this room."
You rolled your eyes in anger then placed your hand on your hips as you glared at Kaeya. "Who are you to fucking tell me that?! Just stop getting in my way, jerk!"
"Why are you being so stubborn?!"
"Then, why are you being so overprotective!? You're not my father nor my mother!"
"Just don't go!"
"God, why are you so annoying?!"
"Annoying?! Me?! In what fucking way!"
"YOU'RE BEING QUIET LIKE NOTHING EVEN HAPPENED BETWEEN US HOURS AGO, YOU ASSHOLE!!"
You lashed out as you crossed your arms before looking away with a blush and just 'tsk'ed. "Forget it. I'll just text him."
"The only reason I kept quiet because you were. I thought you didn't want to talk about it," Kaeya reasoned out as he sat up on his bed. You stared at his body then looked away.
"I was just embarrassed. I let out such noises in front of you."
"Aw, don't be so sour about that. I loved hearing it."
You just gnarled at Kaeya before settling yourself on his lap, your back against his chest. "You're such a handful."
"And so are you...when we're done."
"Oh my god!"

diluc
it’s not uncommon for you to slip behind the counter at the angel’s share, whether to help restock or to collect dirty glasses, and tonight is no different.
you’re standing behind him, arms wrapped tightly around his waist, him continuing to make and mix drinks for customers. he was a bit surprised when you first showed up, only mumbling a “hello” into the back of his shirt as explanation.
but he was used to your antics, especially after yesterday. the darknight hero had a rather rough run-in the night before, outmatched against a pyro abyss mage. you could see the bandages under his sleeves, and though he’d apologized and promised not to pick fights he couldn’t win, it had still scared you. badly.
one of his hands tapped yours. “dear, could you get me some butterfly dust?”
you turned, one hand staying around him while the other picked through the jars on the back shelf. finding the one marked with a butterfly, you passed it to him, earning yourself a “thank you, darling.”
you hummed in response and he smiled, hand lingering over yours for a moment. he hated worrying you, don’t get him wrong, and he genuinely was sorry, but this… was nice.
maybe in the future he’ll be able to ask you for affection without turning red. just give him some time, okay?
kaeya
many people knock on kaeya’s door throughout the day, most bringing some sort of work. “here’s my report for the recent mission,” “jean needs your signature on this,” “you should take a break, you haven’t left your office in 11 hours.”
please. if he wanted to leave, he would have. he’s trying to catch up on work, for once, leave him be.
when someone knocks at his door again, he calls for them to come in, looking up from his report. he’s expecting another knight, maybe noelle, but this is far sweeter.
he smiles as you come in, pushing away from his desk and holding out an arm for you. “to what do i owe this lovely surprise?”
he pulls you in when you approach, resting his head on your stomach while your hands go automatically to his hair. “just wanted to see you,” you say, and just the sound of your voice eases some of his irritation at his paperwork.
he hummed, relaxing. “i was just thinking about you, you know.”
“really?”
“mhm. thinking about how nice it would be for my beautiful lover to visit me at work, saving me from the endless piles of reports…”
“…you can just leave, kaeya.”
he laughed. “don’t tempt me.”
kazuha
kazuha climbed down from the crow’s nest as the alcor came to port, having already found you in the crowd waiting on the docks. he grabbed his bag (already packed the day before) and jumped over the side of the ship, a burst of anemo ensuring he landed safely. he wove through the crowd easily, all of the workers familiar with him and your routine every time he came back.
you were leaning on a stack of crates, pushing off them once you saw him. kazuha swept you into a hug, holding you tightly against him. this past voyage was longer than usual, the fleet getting caught in inazuma due to some mix-up of shipments, and the break in routine had made the both of you antsy.
“i missed you,” you mumbled, and he squeezed you once before pulling away, just enough to press a kiss to your cheek.
“i missed you to, my love.” then, after a moment, “i apologize for the delay.”
“it’s not your fault.”
“true, but i still feel bad leaving you here all on your own.” he gave you another kiss, taking your hand in his when he stepped away properly. “how about i make it up to you? i’ve brought you some rather interesting things from inazuma…”
you smile, and he feels his heart lift when you agree.
“then it’s a date.”
albedo
“‘bedo?”
albedo turned his head slightly to show he was listening, his eyes still trained on the glasswork he was cleaning. “yes?”
“how much longer will you be? it’s late.”
a smile flickered across his face, and he moved the beaker in his hand to the drying rack, picking up another. “just a few more, my flower.”
“you said that ten minutes ago.”
did he? “my apologies, then, but i do need all of these clean by tomorrow, and it’s best if they dry overnight.”
“…but i miss you.”
that got a laugh from him, and he rinsed out an erlenmeyer. “i’m right here, dear.”
“but you’re not here.”
he smiled, moving the flask to the rack as well. “i will be in just a moment. you have my word.”
he was well used to your theatrics and knew you weren’t serious. though he did feel regret at making you wait and keeping you awake, he knew you didn’t hold it against him. unusual hours and more than slightly complicated schedules were part of his job, and he was grateful that you had accepted this as part of him.
he finished the last of his cleaning quickly, washing his hands of the soap and finally beginning to ready for bed. he’d already changed out of his uniform earlier, so it was a quick affair of removing his boots and socks and slipping beneath the sheets.
the two of you found the other easily, his head nestled in your collar as you pulled the tie from his hair.
“thank you,” he murmured, feeling the tension of the day slipping away under the feeling of your hands in his hair. you undid his braids, carefully unravelling the minor knots throughout.
“of course,” you reply, as if it’s the easiest thing in the world. as if it’s easy to be with him despite his expeditions and strange hours, as if it’s easy to accept him in your bed and arms despite his past. as if it’s easy to love him.
and maybe for you, it was easy. but for him, it was a difficult truth, and he fell asleep every day grateful for it.
every day, just as this one.
kaveh
kaveh ran a hand over his hair, glaring down at his troublesome blueprint in irritation. something was wrong, something was missing from somewhere, but he couldn’t pin down what. it likely had something to do with the late night hour, but he was determined to figure out what it was before he went to bed. he would leave the actual drawing to tomorrow, but there was no way he would be able to sleep like this. it would bother him too much, any rest he had wouldn’t be fulfilling, his schedule could take the hit he just needed to find whatever stray detail was putting him off.
there was a knock at his door and it took him a bit too long to register it, only looking up from his paper when the door already opened. he prepared himself for the regular snark of alhaitham, but was met with the softness of a different touch instead.
you reached and lowered the light from his lamp, brushing some of his hair from his face. “kaveh, what are you doing awake? it’s late.”
he leaned into your hand, still looking over the paper in the dimmed light. “another detail is giving me trouble.” he waved over the front face of the building, searching the windows and arches for what was troubling him. “it’s off, and i don’t know why.”
“hm?” you moved, propping a hand on the table and leaning your head on his. “what do you mean?”
“it’s wrong. i can’t tell if it’s the symmetry or the size of the door or.. or…” he sighed, and you stayed silent, looking over the paper.
“is it the frame?”
“no, i checked that twice before.”
“hm… the windows?”
that was possible… but even when he checked the measurements again, or even covered them up entirely, the building was still wrong. “no…”
“thought it would be, they looked off.”
he shook his head, careful not to bump you too much. “this design looks more asymmetric than it is, but it complements the arch of the roof well, far better than a simple rectangle or square would. not to mention sumeru rarely has such sharp shapes to begin with…”
“interesting… and the front steps?”
“well curved steps wouldn’t be practical, love, that would be a hazard-“
“kaveh. the steps. are they even?”
“huh?” he had put a hand over the bottom of the drawing before he even knew what he was doing, covering the steps. to his surprise, the rest of it looked far better without them, despite the fact that the front steps were probably one of the most embarrassing things for him to manage to mess up. “oh… thanks.”
you laughed, kissing the top of his head as you prepared to leave, and he grabbed at your hand, clumsily making note of the steps with the other. “w-wait, i’ll go with you.”
“about time.”
he didn’t bother replying, knowing you were right. he turned out the light and kicked off his shoes, following you to bed eagerly.
it was late, and his exhaustion hit him all at once, asleep practically the moment his head hit the pillow. you smiled and pulled the clips from his hair, giving him another quick kiss before curling up in bed beside him.
yes, sunrise was in only about two hours, but you had the day off tomorrow. you would be fine, and so would he.

Diluc
He knew every assignment wouldn’t be enjoyable. As much as he’d prefer to be wandering the plains of Teyvat searching for those who would do his Kingdom harm, it wasn’t possible. Still, out of all the knights, out of all the assignments, why did it have to be this one?
Diluc sighed and did his best not to roll his eyes as he watched the Princess he was sworn to serve finish her discussion with a foreign dignitary. As the eldest of daughters, she was tasked to handle foreign affairs as well as the kingdoms resources while her younger sister and brother were able to be more free in their day to day. The older brother, the Prince in line for the throne was not well liked which made Diluc assume his sister would be the same. She wasn’t.
Still, Diluc found most of his time was standing off in the corner while meeting after boring meeting was held in the castle. He’d once climbed the coldest mountain in the land and, honestly, that sounded far more enjoyable than listening to another Fontainian talk down to the person whose patience knew no bottom.
“I understand you are frustrated by the swiftness of our response,” you said, hand moving to rest against the ambassadors arm. Diluc noted how his face flushed at the contact. “I cannot guarantee we will solve each problem, but rest assured I will not let a day go by without checking in and assessing how we can continue our support.” you bowed slightly and smiled.
ugh, the tediousness of talking to diplomats, Diluc frowned at it all.
Once the ambassador left, you wandered back to your seat to gather the notes, forms, and other documents you’d ultimately review until passing out in your room. Dark circles were starting to appear under your eyes from all the sleepless nights. He made his way to you, picking up the stack of books before you could.
“Is your schedule free?” He asked, twisting slightly away from as you tried to grab the items he picked up. You were stubborn, but so was he.
“Yes,” you said and sighed, “but not for long. The Favonius knights have requested more arms, and the masons require stone for the eastern wall. I didn’t get to these yesterday, so I’d like to attend to them before dinner.” Settling the items in your arms, you did your best to push the hair that continued to brush against your cheek away with puffs of air. It wasn’t working.
“Do you not think it is better to rest?” If his superiors were around, they would shame him for speaking so directly. ‘Royalty is to be tended to like a fragile flower, otherwise they will be tarnished,’ he could hear his mentor recite all the while forcing the knights in training to hold 40 lbs barrels over their head.
You looked into his eyes before moving on to appease him. “You always look after me, Sir Ragnvindr. I’m alright,” you smiled but he could see the exhaustion in your expression. A fragile flower, yeah right. “Anyway, I’m sure you’d much rather be beyond the castle walls.” You reached for the books he was holding, “I know being my guard isn’t very exciting, so please don’t let yourself be trapped for my sake. I can manage to make it back to my room without incident.”
Your hand touched his on accident. Quickly, you pulled back, apologized, then tried again. With a roll of his eyes, he scooped the items in your arms, adding them to his.
“S-Sir Ragnvindr!” You protested as he made his way to the door. He was much faster due to his long legs. Diluc couldn’t hide his smirk as he heard you rushing after him. It must have been hard to keep up in a dress as decorated as yours. “Please, it’s too much --” he stopped in front of the door only to feel you bump into him. When he twisted to look, he noticed you cupping your mouth and nose. He swore he saw a dab of color on your cheeks. “Sir, I cannot ask you to --”
“And yet I can ask you to carry all of this?” He cut you off and watched the implication of his words settle in your mind. Diluc wondered if you disliked the rules and expectations of royalty as much as he did. After all, before he was a knight he was a nobleman - he understood the pressure of this world better than most.
Deflated, defeated, you backed down. “If you insist.” He could tell you hated being doted on. In every interaction he’d seen between you and an attendant, you were always respectful, helpful, and often insisted upon doing the task yourself. At the end of the day, who could deny the eldest princess her request? Well, other than him --- “But as soon as we get back I can --”
You were cut off by a voice down the hall. If it was possible for the walls to have ears in this castle.
Diluc watched as you prepared yourself, stepped into the hallway and greeted the stranger. They were one of the Prince’s scribes, and a rather annoying one to boot. Diluc had a bitter taste in his mouth every time he showed his face. There was just something about the way he looked at you ...
“I was informed you were free,” he said with his head lifted as if to look down on you.
“That is the case, but ...”
“Do come with me then. I have work for you to attend to since it seems you cannot get them done without a watchful eye,” he reached for your wrist and Diluc moved before realizing it. With one step, he was in between the both of you but his cold gaze was seen only by one. The man’s hand retreated so quickly it was like Diluc’s proximity had burned him.
“The Princess has other priorities at this moment.”
“How dare --”
“As the Princess’s guard, I am to ensure she can fulfil her duty to the kingdom.  Do you not think the Ambassador of Fontaine would be surprised to find his request delayed yet again because the Princess was pulled to another task?” Diluc stared the man down, commitment unwavering. He heard you start to say something so he stepped further in front of you.
“How da- I -- I’ll be speaking to your superior,” the man spat before turning on his heels and loudly walked back the way he came. Diluc didn’t move until he was out of sight.
“Sir Ragnvindr, you didn’t have to go that far,” you expressed as he turned to face you. Your head had dropped, your eyes looked to the floor while your fingers pinched their neighbors. “I will write a letter to Mrs. Gunnhildr explaining the situation.”
Diluc wasn’t sure why you were looking after him, he was capable of standing up for himself and dealing with whatever punishment might come his way. Besides, it was bound to be far less painful than watching you spend any amount of time with that man.
Wait ... what?
“Don’t fret over it. Let’s go,” Diluc quickly passed by you, his head shaking to remove his strange thoughts. He heard you catch up to him. From the corner of his eyes he could see you were still unsettled by what had happened.
“I um - I do want to thank you.”
“For?”
“For standing up for me. I - um - As you know it’s hard for me to say no,” you sent him an appeasing, sad smile. “Though I do feel guilty. Perhaps if I -- ah! Sir--”
Diluc put his hand against your back and pushed you forward just enough so you couldn’t turn around. “Don’t make me carry you too -” The words fell from his mouth so fast he had to snap his lips closed to not say anymore.
What in Teyvat was coming over him. You riled him up so much-
You let out a hearty laugh and his heart skipped a beat. “Haha! That would be a sight to see,” you covered your mouth but he wished you wouldn’t. “Sir Ragnvindr carrying the Princess through the halls of the castle. Can you imagine?”
He could imagine. Though the sight wouldn’t be pretty, nor proper, since the only way he’d see that happening is if he tossed you over his shoulder. Nevertheless, he was glad you were laughing at the idea rather than being appalled. Diluc put his hand back on the items he was carrying now that he knew you weren’t going to rush back down the hall.
For a moment he listened to the sound of your footsteps, to the soft giggles echoing in the hall. Why was the weight of his armor suddenly so noticeable?
“You can refer to me by my first name,” Diluc said as your laughter started to fade.
“Oh, but Sir Ragnvindr is so natural to me.” You tapped your chin before turning to look at him as you walked, “Sir Diluc --”
“Just Diluc is fine,”
You paused, unsure of what to say. Eventually, you turned to look down the hall, hands returning to hold onto each other. He wasn’t sure what was going on in your mind but, honestly, he wouldn’t have been prepared even if he did.
“Diluc ...” the sound of his name on your tongue nearly made him fall over. Instinctually, he clenched his jaw over and over again. “Um, actually, if it’s alright with you, I think I’ll stick with Sir. Ragnvindr for now ...” you explained in a panic.
Diluc didn’t dare look at you. What expression would he have it he met your gaze? So, he gave a curt nod and a quick, “Alright,” and the two of you made your way down the hall in silence.
--
Every once in a while you’d try to push him away. Though he wasn’t sure if it was because you needed a moment alone or if his wistful gaze toward the window drew too much attention. Out of the two, he’d much prefer you the latter, especially since his other stare was directed at you.
Weeks went by and he settled into a nice routine. It was difficult when he first arrived, but you asked him on several occasions if there was anything you could do to make his stay more comfortable. Even the smallest things; you did your best to get him what he asked.
Diluc didn’t want for much, so your offers were often left unanswered; however, he did notice a steady supply of grape juice in the kitchen when he was sure there hadn’t been before. He only mentioned it once.
At times he'd forget himself. Forget that he needed to hold an expression of disinterest. Forget to pull himself back when he was starting to soften each time his eyes landed on you, each time you stood close by, each time you turned to search for him.
You found him and he could breathe again.
He was forgetting how very high the wall was between the two of you and every day he spent in your shadow, it became blurrier and blurrier.
--
“I’m going to win!” You shouted, hair wiping around your face as you pushed forward. The horse you were riding picked up its pace with a flick of the reigns, pushing you past Diluc. How did he end up racing you again?
You cackled as you passed by and he couldn’t help but be swept up by the noise. With a deep, “hya!” he squeezed his thighs and tapped his horses belly, urging it to increase its speed. It did, and soon he was rushing past you and laughing at the sound of your fading protests.
When the path began to taper out, Diluc slowed his horse bit by bit until it was at a standstill. He patted its neck and praised it for its hard work while it raised and lowered its head, breathing heavily. Twisting so he could see behind him, he found you making your way toward him and your voice began to cut through the thicket of trees.
“---er! --eater!!” You reigned your horse in, coming to a soft canter until stopping beside him. Panting, you repeated yourself, “cheater.”
“I did no such thing,”
“You did!” Patting the neck of your horse, you moved up beside him, punching him in the leg when you were close enough.
“Hey-”
“Cheater--” You pointed at him, making him laugh. Carefully, he took your hand his his and moved it back toward you.
“Did you forget I’m also a Calvary Captain?” You scrunched your face in protest but quickly relaxed into realization, “Hah, you did!”
“Shut up--” Diluc laughed, louder than he had in so long. His hand pressed into his stomach and his eyes began to water. “Stop it --” you pleaded, the notes of laughter laced in your request. “You hardly ever talk about yourself. Sorry for not remembering something you told me almost a year ago.” You turned your head away from him, moved your hands to fix the hair that had fallen free from its holding. He found himself looking a little too long at the back of your neck.
“I don’t mean poke fun,” there was a stick in your hair but you didn’t seem to notice it. “Here,” with expert skill, he dismounted his horse. In a matter of seconds he had the reigns looped around a low hanging branch and had made his way over to you, his hand resting against the horses neck to let it know he was there. The horse bumped his head and he smiled. “Allow me to help,” he said, offering you his hand.
“Don’t need it,” you replied, fixing your clothes. You were wearing a pair of form fitting pants and a dark green top that pressing against you underneath a warm, cream vest. It was one of the only times he’d seen you not dolled up in what your maids forced you to wear every morning. He liked it.
Ignoring his hand, you began to dismount but, as he had expected, it’d been a while since you last rode so you weren’t as graceful as he was. Your hand on the saddle slipped but he was there to catch you.
“Got you,” he reassured you with an arm wrapped around your back, a hand gripping the waist of your pants before pulling you toward him. Your body collided into his chest. The heat of contact, the wave of your perfume, shampoo, crashed into him causing him to stumble backward. He’d caught whiffs before, hints and hypothesized about what it would be like. He never anticipated becoming overcome by it so intensely.  Diluc held you while your toes scraped the ground, arms coiled around his neck for support.
Let her go -- he told himself but couldn’t do it.
“S-Sir Ragnvindr ...” your voice was shaky. He set you down and took several steps back, bowing.
“Are you alright?” he asked, tone even, professional.
“Mmhm,” he glanced at you. His jaw clenched at the sight of your discomfort. You wouldn’t make eye contact with him, began to wring your hands like you did when you were uneasy. He wondered if his teeth would break by how hard he bit down. Without saying anything, Diluc grabbed the reigns of your horse and brought it over to his. “Um, that ride made me hungry,” you began so he looked back to you, “those trees provide good shade, if you’d like to eat with me? I brought enough for the both of us.”
“Alright,” he agreed without protest, grabbing the pack off his horse and brining it to the place you pointed to. You quickly laid out the blanket, taking up space near the tree. He was glad you did, it would be much harder for anything to attack you with it at your back. Diluc offered the basket to you which you took and began to put several items on a plate. Soon, you offered one to him.
“I tried to bring things you’d like,” Diluc looked at the plate. He wasn’t planning on eating anything but when he saw several of his favorite items, he changed his mind.
“I thought you didn’t remember things about me?” He teased, a rare occurrence.
You pursed your lips into a pout before answering, “I can remember some things.”
“I see.” He popped one of the finger foods into his mouth. The taste wasn’t exactly the way he imagined but it was still good. “Thank you for requesting these, Princess.”
“Y-You’re welcome,” you replied, making your own plate. “but - um - I made them. So, if they aren’t very good you don’t have to eat them.”
Diluc looked at you with awe, “you made these?” you nodded, “when did you find the time?”
Shrugging, you took a bite of your own food. “I had a spare moment. Though it was hard to keep it a surprise when you’re always around.” You stole a peek at him, “Are they good?”
Diluc felt his lips curl into a smile as he looked at the food on his plate. Now that he gave them a careful eye, he could see they were done by novice hands, “Very,” he told you and ate another.
The two of you enjoyed the rest of the picnic in quiet peace. Diluc leaned back against another tree, let his body stretch out on the blanket while you maintained your trained posture. Legs bent to your side, back straight. The wind tussled your hair, making it difficult for you to review the paperwork you brought. Of course you’d still be working, even outside of the confines of the castle.
Soon, a soft hum drifted on the breeze. Peeking through half-closed eyes, he watched you sing to yourself. He’d seen you do it times before but, just as you did then, you stopped. “Sorry,” you appologized.
It was so comfortable, so relaxed that he couldn’t help but close his eyes. The horses were close by that if they sensed anything he could hear their agitation. The woods had been cleared prior to this excursion anyway, he made sure of that - perhaps that’s when you found the time to make him lunch.
Funny, while he was scouting thinking of you, you were thinking of him. The thought made his chest tight.
“I don’t mind.”
“It’s not proper.”
Who told you that? He wondered. “I’m the only one here.”
“Somehow that doesn’t help,” you chuckled and he swore your cheeks changed color but maybe that was the light passing through the shifting leaves above, “um, do you have any requests?”
You’d never asked him before. He wasn’t sure what to say. “Your favorite one then?”
“Okay.” The world grew quiet. As if it were settling to listen to your song. When you began he lifted his arms, folding them behind his head like a pillow, eyes closing again.
Take me And I will fix you for the night Hold those breaking lights Dreaming past those eyes
feel me  breathe me to the sky ...
The song was gentle, sad. He’d never heard it before so he paid careful attention to the words.
So scream Your voice it can't be heard To no one else but you So sing as loud as rain And run until you break
Diluc’s brow furrowed at the sound of your trembling voice, at the motion of your hand as it brushed over your eyes. You tried to keep it in but didn't make it. Your hands covered your face as you cried; cried in the wind, cried under the sunshine sky, cried in front of the man who realized, in this moment, he never wanted to see you this way.
And yes Just for now Just for these small hours You can fall beneath the ground You can break...
...without the pain
You cried, bent over in the shade of the tree and all Diluc could do was watch and wonder why.
--
A few days later he learned the truth. Your brother had convinced the king to accept a proposal for your hand without consulting you. Somehow this was still endorsed, still expected. You were forced to accept it but Diluc couldn’t.
He rushed through the halls practically burning the tapestries that lined them. He didn’t even wait to knock on the door to your inner chamber, he just opened it, freezing when he found you sitting on the couch as if this were any other day.
It wasn’t any other day to him.
He wanted to fight, wanted to yell, wanted to free you from your station. He swore to protect you, to shield you. So how could he let this happen? Diluc was in turmoil - every inch of him was struggling; strangled by the expectations of his duty and his devoted heart.
When you heard him enter, you looked up from the paperwork on the coffee table, eyes puffy, swollen - how much had you cried today?
“I wasn’t expecting you, Sir Ragnvindr,” you explained, but the tightness in your throat told him you were suffering. How terrible was this suitor? What archaic laws shackled you to him and not ...
Diluc made his way toward you.
“I’m sorry but I’d like some time a-alone,” your voice cracked. He didn’t listen. With ease, he knelt on one knee before you. His eyes searched your face until your red-tinted eyes landed on him. “P-please,” you tried to smile, tried to pretend but he was okay if you didn't. He rested his arm on his knee and touched your fingers. Biting your lip, you looked at him and shook your head. Your breathing became unsteady, tears pooled in your eyes. “I’m alright,” you lied. With every tear-drop you lied. A quite sob escaped your throat so you covered your face with your hands and said the one thing you shouldn’t have, “Diluc --”
Diluc, going against everything he was taught, everything he swore to uphold, to commit to, opened himself and took you against him. His arms wrapped delicately around you, his hand found the back of your head, fingers weaving in between the strands of your perfectly brushed hair.
“I’ll fix it,” he vowed, knowing he couldn’t.
--
The following weeks dragged by. Preparations for your engagement were planned. Even though you were in the room when the decisions were made, you gave no opinion on them. Not the flowers, not the dress, not the food which you had little interest in lately. It seemed all you could do was devote yourself to your work and nothing else.
Diluc lay awake at night thinking about how to solve this problem. What could he do to break off the engagement. Surely he could take drastic actions - what was a life of imprisonment if you could be free? His step-brother told him to be patient, be rational, but his heart refused to let him. He was spiraling, and jealousy was right in the middle of it all.
Agitated, he lifted himself from his bed and made his way to the door that led to your chambers. On the other side you were sleeping, safe, untouched by anyone. He pressed his forehead against the harsh wood, gripped the doorknob with so much strength he worried it would bend to his will. He wanted to see you, wanted to hold you - to keep you - but you weren’t his. Would never be his.
Shaking, he pried himself away, threw on a shirt, and made his way down the hall to cool off.
On the other side of the door, you sat with your knees to your chest, head resting against the wood with eyes flooded in tears as you silently cried in the color of the rising sun.
--
The day of your suitor arrival had finally come. You did your best to smile, to hold yourself high. You’d practice these skills for so many years but Diluc could tell you were struggling. As you rose from your chair to greet the man who’d soon be your husband, Diluc took a step closer to you hoping to ease your anxiety.
“Your majesty,” he bowed, low and proper. His smile was unsettling, his eyes darted around the room until they landed on you and the flash of excitement Diluc saw in them made him drive his claymore deeper into the ground. “Ah, and my beautiful fiancé,” he took several steps toward you so you extended your hand as far as it could go to create space. Diluc was enraged at how familiar he was; grabbing your hand and pressing his lips to it. Rubbing your arm without a care. The man flashed his eyes to Diluc but Diluc didn’t turn away.
“Welcome to the Royal Capital, Prince Calmin Velena. I’m sure you are tired from your journey. Please do take --”
“I am eager to hear of the wedding plans and celebrations, your majesty,” the man interrupted you, his hand still holding yours as he pulled you toward him and the king. Diluc had to restrain himself from cutting that hand off. “Am I to be boarded next to my sweet Princess? I do wish to spend as much time with her as possible,” he glanced back at you and, instinctually, you tried to retreat toward Diluc.
“Prince Calmin, do understand that while you are in our kingdom, there are certain, etiquettes, that must be followed. You will have your own room in our guest quarters. They are lavishly furnished as you will find.” The King gestured to an attendant who appeared suddenly before the group. With a scoff, the prince released you allowing you to go back to your original spot. Diluc watched how your hand shook as you hid it behind your back.
You can’t protect her if you kill a prince, he reminded himself.
“Yes of course, then I will retire for now. Until then,” he turned and blew you a kiss before following the attendant out of the grand hall. At which time you collapsed into your chair.
“Daughter --” The King rose from his seat, moving toward you but before he could continue, your brother got in the way.
“Father, don’t mind her, we have much to discuss.” The King looked at you and you shot him a desperate look. A pleading, ‘please’ to which he closed his eyes and followed after your brothers persistent pushing.
When they left, you tried to stand but found your legs unsteady. Diluc noticed, offering you his hand, never taking it away.
“I feel unwell,” you whispered while other attendants moved about the room.
“Let’s away for now,” with ease, he pulled his cape around you, blocking you from the eyes of the would-be onlookers. You tucked yourself under his arm, brushing against his hips every once in a while.
Would this be all he ever had? Fleeting, accidental touches while that rat had the rest of you. The thought made his chest burn, blood boil.
Diluc looked at you, vowing to ensure nothing but his presence could get close.
--
Every interaction he saw the two of you have made him furious. Prince Calmin was disrespectful to you. He flirted with others in front of you, talked down to you as if you were nothing, second guessed your decisions and even tried to take over your duties. The amount of times you had to quell the fires of the ambassadors because of his stupidity -- it was giving Diluc a headache.
Complaints were passed to the King but your brother always managed to stop them. Somewhere in the back of Diluc’s mind he suspected foul-play. Why was this man being pushed so hard when - even if he hated to admit it - there were other, better suitors out there. Just what was your brother playing at?
Diluc did his best to investigate, asked his most trusted to assist him when he couldn’t. The day’s to your wedding were drawing closer so he didn’t dare leave your side. Not while that snake continued to slither his way into places he wasn’t wanted.
Several nights before the wedding, Diluc heard your voice on the other side of the shared door. You sounded upset. When he went to investigate, he found Prince Calmin pushing his way inside your room. It took all of his strength not to break every bone in his body but - luckily - the prince backed down, running away as fast as he could, and you were able to quell the rage in him by reassuring him you weren't hurt.
Even still, Diluc spent the rest of that night in front of your door.
What nightmares would await him in the next few days. What nightmares would befall you that he couldn’t stop. He needed a solution, fast.
--
The day before the wedding came, and while others were celebrating in high spirits, you did your best to keep your mask up. Even though you smiled and acted pleasant, people were noticing that you didn’t stand in the middle of the room like brides often do, didn’t raise your glass to the toasts wishing you well, didn’t react when your fiancé touched you.
You were like a statue. A commodity. And your faithful knight was forced to watch.
“Hey there,” a familiar voice broke his concentration. His brother, Kaeya, had slipped into the festivities without an invitation, as customary.
Diluc stood with his arms crossed in the dark shadows of the grand hall. Eyes locked on your ‘would be husband’ - searching for the slightest movement that would allow him to end his life.
If he hurt you, would the king pardon the knight sworn to protect the princess? He clenched his jaw.
“Did you find anything?” Diluc asked, desperate. Kaeya could sense it too and let out a sigh.
“Just tell her you love her.”
“Kaeya -”
“Perhaps a kings heart can be swayed by the profession of true lov-”
“Did you find anything?” Diluc barked, causing Kaeya to throw his hands up.
“Alright, here,” Kaeya offered a roll of papers to Diluc who snatched them faster than lightning. “You’re senses are always spot on ya know - well, except for where it counts.”
Diluc read the papers over and over again. When he was done, he looked at Kaeya.
“I’m good, what can I say?” Kaeya shrugged but Diluc was already gone, “I’ll take my thank you in a bottle of wine. Do you hear me??” Kaeya shouted, throwing his hands in the air when he got no reply.
Diluc’s heart pounded as he pushed through the crowd. Nothing was set in stone yet, this was it. The chance to save the love of his life.
“My king!” He shouted over the crowd, through the music bouncing around the room. He picked up the pace, running. “King!”
The royal family and its intruder looked toward him. You sat up in your chair - the first sign of life you’d had all evening. The crown on your head slipped but you didn’t fix it.
“What is the meaning of this?” Your brother stood, the scraping of his chair putting a stall on the noise in the chamber. “How dare you interrupt us!”
“I apologize king,” Diluc knelt, bowed his head and lifted himself up again before extending the rolled up parchment toward the King. “I will take whatever punishment you decide fitting for my interruption, but first, read this.” Diluc held out the documents but when the Prince tried to snatch them away, Diluc grabbed his wrist and shoved him back.
“Sir Ragnvindr!” The King stood and the knights in his charge moved out from the shadows.
“Wait!” You shouted while your brother tried to scramble for the document. Unfortunately, you had a hard time getting any closer as your fiancé yanked you back toward him.
The parties’ attention turned to the commotion at the royal table. Diluc held his ground even as the threat of drawn weapons drew closer. “I have entrusted you with the safety of my daughter and yet you slander this celebration?”
“Her safety is my highest priority which is why you must read this!” The prince grabbed the documents before the King could and Diluc felt his heart drop in his chest.
“What rubbish. Have I not tried to warn you father, this knight has means to harm my precious sister. He must be dealt with -- away with him!” Diluc refrained from drawing his sword, if he did he would look even more like the enemy.
“Your majesty, please,” Diluc bowed to hide the fear in his eyes but also show he meant no harm. Please -- please hear him -- Hands touched Diluc’s shoulders and began to pull him back. He could hear your shouts and the quieting demands of your soon to be husband.
I failed
“Is this true?”
“Be still.” The King demanded and the room stilled. Diluc’s head shot up, his heart flipping as the king reached for the parchment. The prince did his best to plead, to explain that it was nothing but when the King didn't back down, he reluctantly handed it over. Diluc’s heart pounded, he felt his hands burn as he looked on only to find you still bound by the hands of that man.
Read faster, be begged.
“Yes, Majesty,” Diluc confirmed. “Take notice of the seal on the last page.” The King flipped to the last page, grimacing at what he saw. When he snapped his head to Prince Calmin the fear in the man’s eyes was clear.
“Unhand my daughter. Seize him!”
“W-What?” the prince stuttered, backing up with you in his grip.
Your brother reached for the king's arm but was shoved off. “Father what are you doing!?”
“Be silent, child.” The King moved toward Prince Calmin who grabbed a knife hidden in his clothes and held it out, while his other hand held tightly onto your hair.
“Back away! G-Got it?? I-I was promised -- you promised me!” Calmin screamed at the prince who was cowering in his chair. The commotion grew as the kings guard closed in but all Diluc saw was the fear in your eyes, and how your trembling hand extend to him.
“Let her go,” Diluc reached for the table and tossed it out of the way. The thick wood and metal bindings kept it in place as it slid down the steps narrowly avoiding several patrons as it went. He didn’t care about them, he didn’t care about anyone, he only cared about - “I won’t say it again.”
Diluc’s claymore appeared in his hand, ablaze. The Prince forcefully moved you in between him and the fire but Diluc knew enough about his vision to control every microscopic flame.
“Get off her!” In an instant, the room was filled with a flash of light. You covered your face as blue and green flames whipped past you, smacking directly into your captor. He screamed, releasing you, shoving you. As you stumbled forward Diluc caught you so you wouldn't fall.
“What have you done?! You’ll pa-pay for this ---” Calmin screamed, toppling over in pain as flames clung to his skin. Diluc held you against him so you couldn’t see and hoped the sound of his cries wouldn’t linger in your memory forever.
The king's guard shackled and carried Calmin away. They hauled off the prince as well, who in a state of bumbling cries revealed he had plotted against the kingdom for riches, and a power greater than visions. As long as he got the princess to marry this 'prince'.  It was through this plot the king learned of an uprising to the east, spurred on the by hands of the northern archon. If they had been successful, the kingdoms resources would have been wiped out.
You slid your arms around Diluc, unwilling to let go and placed his hand on your back. he’d thank Kaeya profusely for saving more than he could ever imagine.
--
As the party goers were escorted out of the hall, and the energy in the room died down, Diluc stewarded you to the balcony for air.
“You’re shaking,” he commented, removing his cape and draping it over your shoulders.
“How could he do this ...” you mumbled, “my own brother.”
“But, y-you saved me --”
“Power and corruption are one of many slivers of the darkness that plagues this world. I never wished for you to be exposed to them.” Diluc rubbed your arms, called on his vision to warm you as best as he could. He might have saved you from a sham of a marriage but he failed everywhere else. “I am beside myself for what has happened to you,” he lifted your chin, looked at you but wished he could do more.
This proposal was one of many you'd get. How was he going to survive the next one?
“Did I?”
You began to speak but the sound of footsteps interrupted you. Diluc took several steps back and bowed.
“My daughter, how are you?”
“I’m alright,” you extended your hand toward the King and he pulled you close. Diluc kept his gaze to the ground.
“You are unharmed?”
“Yes,” the King breathed a sigh of relief. He took note of the color wrapped around you, turning his attention to the knight at your side.
“And you, Sir Ragnvindr?”
“I am fine, King,” he bowed again, missing the expression you sent to him.
“Good. Then, if you can spare us a moment I’d like to converse with my daughter in private.”
“Of course,” Diluc excused himself through the balcony door but made sure to keep you in his line of sight.
--
For several days after, Diluc couldn’t get close to you. He was frustrated, annoyed that his duties kept pulling him away. He rarely fought assignments, but this constant distance was making him insubordinate.
Finally, he was allowed to return to the castle but no matter where he looked he couldn’t find you. Every room he searched was empty, even your chambers had looked unused for days. The pain in his chest began to burn his throat.
Where were you - what happened to you - why couldn’t he find you
A figure moved in his peripherals, he spun toward it --
“Ah, there you are.” The Kings voice shattered his focus. Within seconds, Diluc was kneeling. “Oh, well. Always do dutiful. Please rise, my boy,” the King chuckled and Diluc did as told.
“Your majesty. How can I be of service?”
The King made his way to Diluc who’s head had stayed lowered since the King called on him. There was an uncomfortable silence blanketing the scene, he did his best not to fidget.
“Diluc Ragnvindr,” hearing his full name, Diluc lifted his eyes but kept his head lowered, “You have sworn to protect my eldest daughter, is that true?”
“Y-Yes your majesty.”
“Does that also include her heart?”
Diluc was hesitant, but he straightened to his full height, coming into direct eye contact with the King. “Sir?”
“I have watched you care for her, help her, protect her, and though there are suitors who do the same there are none whom she looks at the way she does you.”
Diluc could hardly breathe.
“Would you protect my daughters heart the same way you have protected her life?”
“Yes.” Diluc spoke with conviction. Unsure if what he was vowing too was the one thing his heart yearned for. As stupid he was to believe it, he let himself.
“Then,” the King took Diluc’s hand in his, one resting on the top and the other cupping the bottom, “You have my blessing. Though I should hardly have the authority to give it.”
“... I ...”
“Go. She’s waiting on the balcony.”
Diluc looked toward the doorway. He swallowed, swore his heart was going to break out of his chest and kill him. He loved you. He wasn’t supposed to - told himself he wouldn’t and yet
he loved you
“E-Excuse me,” Diluc bowed, slipped free of the Kings embrace and moved toward the one thing he had wanted but was never allowed.
There you were, standing with your hands on the marble railing. Your back too him, hair fluttering in the wind. The gown you wore was beautiful. Long trains of white with thick red fabric billowing out behind you.
Diluc called out your name and, slowly, you turned toward him. He didn’t move, you didn’t move.
“Did you see the king?” You asked and when he nodded you smiled with tears rolling down your cheeks. Diluc walked toward you as if he were in a dream. “What’s your decision? Could you ever love the princess you swore fealty to--”
Suddenly, he moved faster than he ever had. His hands cupped your face as he kissed you. He’d never known such a feeling as your lips. Never thought warm tears would feel so invigorating against his hands.
He had you
He finally had you
“Marry me,” he professed above your lips.
“Tomorrow?” You teased but he didn’t protest. If he were allowed, he’d marry you this instant if it meant you could spend one second more as his wife.
Laughing, with love rushing through his veins, he hoisted you into the air and let you fall against him as you cupped his face and kissed him in the mid-day sun.
“Wherever you go, whatever you do,” he said in between kisses, “I will follow you. I am yours --”
“And you are mine,” you vowed.

Manifesting
Dan Heng: Stelle, why do we have so many ice relics?
Stelle:They’re for Yanqing.
Dan Heng:Oh, so he’s the one you plan on inviting?
Stelle:No. I’m just at pity and wanted to be prepared. *feeds ticket*
Dan Heng:*looks at pile* That’s a bit…much. All these won’t be used and anyone could show up.
Stelle:It’s called manifesting!
Dan Heng:Heh, now you sound like March. The odds aren’t impossible. Just a bit-
Train door opens
Yanqing: *arms crossed* Did someone ask for a lieutenant!?
Dan Heng:….
Stelle: You owe March an apology. *grabs relics*
Dan Heng:How’d you pull that off?
Stelle:I don’t know. Maybe I have an affinity with knights? I wanted to see Gepard and Bronya and they greeted me. It’s almost like a weird ability that feels nostalgic.
A few years ago
Kaeya:Why are you collecting dandelions everyday?
Aether:For Jean when she gets here! *throws wish*
Kaeya:Heh, that’s not how that works unfortunately. It’s rand-
Jean: *heroically lands* What’s the situation, Honorary Knight?
Aether: 😃
Kaeya:… I guess weirder things have happened.

Here's a request: How about Kaeya (somewhat drunkenly) eloping with traveller!reader for awhile and when they come back don't tell anyone they're married?
There's already a pre-established relationship.
a novel request indeed :) thanks for the ask and enjoy!!
Tumblr media
You loved your boyfriend. You really did. Kaeya was truly all and more than you could ever ask for in a partner, and there was never one moment in your relationship where he made you regret falling for him.
But drunk Kaeya? He was difficult.
Not difficult as in annoying, per se. Kaeya was no stranger to alcohol – he could hold his liquor pretty well. But you could always tell when Kaeya had passed the realm of tipsiness and began to venture into the land of black-out nothing because he would just start… saying shit. What if I took a piss in this glass and gave it to Diluc? I think goats know more than they let on. I wish we could have sex in Jean’s office… just once.
“We should get married.”
That had to be the most appalling one you’d heard by far.
There you both were, spending an evening in each other’s company at the Angel’s Share. Charles had stepped out earlier, not feeling well, so you took up his closing duties for him while Kaeya watched you from the bar, glass of wine in hand.
Your hand wiping down the bar stopped it motion and you took a look at him.
Kaeya gazed at you, chin propped up in his hand as he leaned against the counter across from you. He had forgone his coat a while ago, claiming it was “too hot” even though it was the middle of winter in Mondstadt (the smirk that he donned as he told you so let you know he just wanted you to have a good look at his toned chest). A lazy smile painted his face as he repeated, “Let’s get married.”
You were unimpressed. “No.”
The smile immediately slid off his face, his hand slapping dramatically onto the bar from under his chin. “Do you not love me anymore?”
“No, babe, I love you plenty. But I don’t accept proposals from drunk people,” you reasoned, tossing the damp cloth to the side. You could sense this conversation going on for a bit.
Kaeya rolled his eyes. “M’ not drunk.”
“Well, you’re definitely not sober.”
Whatever he mumbled next was unintelligible to your ears, leaving you the opportunity to admire your boyfriend in peace.
Moments like these were rare; with your search for your twin seeming to not have an end in sight, you were able to spend less and less time in Mondstat with him. Moments like these made a nasty part of your mind start saying shit of its own: “What if you just gave up?”
It would be so easy. Your twin clearly didn’t want to be found, and you’d be able to travel anywhere you wanted for however long you wished. And truth be told, you knew if Kaeya asked you to stay, you would do so in a heartbeat. He could convince you of anything he wanted – but you knew he wouldn’t do that, wouldn’t ask. That was one of the reasons you fell in love with him.
But Kaeya wasn’t done talking.
“Would you?” he asked. And your chest tightened a bit at the vulnerability in his voice.
You grabbed his hands and brought them to your lips, giving them a kiss. His eyes, or the one you could see, at least, darted around your face while he awaited your response.
“Kaeya, I would love to marry you,” you whispered, “but I seriously do not trust you to remember this conversation in the morning.”
That was apparently all he needed to hear. He beamed at you and leaned over the bar with ease to pull you in for a kiss of his own.
As you parted, you could feel his next words on your lips: “Don’t tempt me.”
And really, all the time you’ve spent with him should’ve prepared you for this, because the next morning you woke up to find him down on one knee on your side of the bed.
Which is exactly how you found yourself in this situation.
The two of you had just gotten back from your spur-of-the-moment trip to Sumeru; a whole three weeks of pure bliss with your new husband.
Eloping was actually your idea, and it didn't take much convincing to get Kaeya to agree. It was his idea, however, to not tell anyone once you got back. Not for any particular reason – he just wanted to see how long it would take people to notice the ring on your finger.
And archons was he making it easy for them.
You couldn’t walk five steps without his hands wrapping around your waist, squeezing your hips, caressing the small of your back. He was never shy with PDA before, but now he was an absolute menace.
Outside the Good Hunter, you had to eat your serving of mint jelly with one hand. He sat across from you, holding your left hand hostage, thumb idly brushing over your wedding ring.
“People are staring,” you mused to him during a lull in your conversation.
Kaeya hummed, but the corner of his mouth twitched into the beginnings of a smile. “Oh? I wonder why.”
“You know, people would stare less if they knew why you were being so touchy with me,” you suggested, raising and eyebrow.
He mirrored your expression, his smile growing playful. “And what if I want them to stare?”
“You were the one that wanted to keep this a secret!”
He just shrugged. “Let's be honest, I could never keep you a secret for long.”
You rolled your eyes, but heat rushed up to your cheeks. “You want to tell them, don’t you?” you deadpanned.
Kaeya gave you an obviously fake clueless expression. “Them?”
You used your free hand to gesture at the plaza.
He grinned. “You know me so well.”
Kaeya wasn’t your boyfriend anymore, he was your husband. And now all of Mondstat knew.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃'𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐗 ( rockin'roll ! )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"and if you don't love me now, you won't ever love me again."
Tumblr media
★ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃'𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐗 / the 70's rock band that took teyvat by storm
ISSUE 01. Everyone knows who The Sunbird's Six were. Their songs revited through the nations: tender and ethereal with each poignant verse. Yet, the group of six showed they could sing verses of ardour while thirsting with unrequited rage that tore souls apart in one sitting. Their debut and only album ‘Vermilion’ was hypnotic and utterly divine. It was a mosaic of winsome pieces that were put together to make one gut-wrenching album that you ultimately ugly cry to.
SO WHO WAS THE SUNBIRD'S SIX? Comprised of four founding members from Mondstadt, one from Snezhnaya, and the other from Fontaine, we get a cast of Teyvat's most talented musicians. Specifically, Diluc Ragnvindr as lead guitarist, songwriter and vocalist and ( Name ) St. Laurent as lead vocalist and songwriter. The duo bewitched the throng and perhaps themselves with both their flaming allure and vocals. Youth of the 70's wanted to become ( Name ) with all her charm and freedom while some fans died to get a strand of Diluc's hair alone. The other members include Jean Gunnhildr on keys, Rosaria on drums, Kaeya Alberich as bass guitarist, and 'Childe' as rhythm guitarist.
ISSUE 02. Yet, as The Sunbirds Six became a renowned household and rock name, their disbandment remains unknown- until now.

Kaeya Alberich ( bass guitarist ) : Ha! We were good... too good.
Rosaria ( drummer ) : Back then- things were simpler. You wanted to play? Grab an instrument and fucking play. That was our original motto... until things started getting messy. And by messy I mean Diluc and Childe. Maybe even ( Name ) too. *Sighs* Actually, all of us. But, you can't write an album like 'Vermilion' without going through all that shit.
Jean Gunnhildr ( pianist ) : When the four of us first came together, we were decent. We all loved playing- some more than others- but we were okay! *Smiles slightly* But, if you're going to go beyond the walls of the Ravginder basement- we needed more.
Childe ( rhythm guitarist ) : Do I sit here? *Laughs* Oh okay. When I was invited to join the band- I said, "Okay, my partner will join too." and of course, there was zero objection cause you don't find a musician like ( Name ) anywhere... a small part of me selfishly wishes that she [ ( Name ) ] said no when I asked. *Laughs* But who am I kidding? I'd go through all that again and again... even if it meant dealing with Diluc-
Diluc Ragnvindr ( lead guitarist ) We only needed another vocalist, a female one. So, we found one.
Kaeya : I was the one who told him we needed a female vocalist and I found her and Childe.
Rosaria : Rockin' roll is not serious till you really add whatever emotions ( Name ) had in the mix- and that's exactly what she did.
( Name ) St. Laurent : *Smiles sweetly* It was ugly, so ugly. However, bygones be bygones. It was only rockin' roll.
Diluc : It was not just rockin' roll.

→ forgetting meals, prioritizing workload over health (diluc).

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ KAEYA ALBERICH *ੈ✩‧₊˚
-gentle tapping on the glass from incoming rain can be heard through the quick scribbling off the quill pen on parchment. the sound of laughter & echoing throughout the halls of the knights of favonius. retiring for the night to grab some dinner for their famished bodies after a long day of patrolling, reporting & training. even though this would be a perfect to sit back and relish in; you currently aren’t really in the position to even enjoy anything of the sorts.
-you glanced up at the clock & saw that it was two hours after your shift but it looks like you won’t be finishing up any time soon with the mountain of paperwork in front of you that the acting grand master placed on your mahogany coloured desk since she trusted to you to finish on her behalf because an emergency arose that needed her immediate attention.
-you sighed as you continued on with your work. “it’s not like there’s anyone else around here to take over the paperwork.”
-a favor for a favor you guessed. time flew by since the last time you looked at the clock again.
-a soft knock echoed into the room and somehow you didn’t hear it. the door opened with a soft creak and a voice called out quietly. “[Y/N]?”
-you almost jumped out of your skin at the sound of your beloveds voice. “ARCHONS- you frightened me, kaeya!”
-a soft chuckle rumbled in his chest as he opened the door fully before stepping into the room in his whole calvary captain glory. “good to know that i can still do that to my beloved after all this time knowing each other.”
-you shake your head as you continued scribbling quickly on the paper. “what are you doing here, kaeya?”
-his head titled his head to the side with his eyebrow quirked. “are you even aware what time it is right now, [Y/N]?”
-“it was 9:49 o’clock last time i checked.”
-“‘last time you checked’?” his tone suddenly got serious which caught you off guard so you looked up to see his arms folded over his chest and a slight frown on his gorgeous face. “can you look at what time it is right now for me?”
-you looked up at the clock that’s hung at the top of the multiple shelves that has all kinds of books, maps and files. it says that it was already 1:02 in the morning. you laugh sheepishly while ignoring kaeya’s piercing gaze.
-“this is the fifth time this week that you have been drowning yourself in extra paperwork, sweetheart.” he sighs as he went around the desk, gently turning your face to look at him, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead.
-you leaned into his touch, now realized how much your body aches from sitting from such a long period of time. “jean left me this paperwork in a hurry since there was an important matter that she couldn’t ignore so i just took responsibility of finishing it up.”
-he hums gently in acknowledgement, grabbing your hand lightly as he pecked each knuckle, slowly running up your arm. “you don’t have to carry so much work, love.”
-you leaned your head back onto the back of the chair with a small thump with a sigh. “you already know how i can get kaeya. sometimes these things just fall onto my lap and i can’t help but help as much as my body can take it.”
-“and you didn’t even think to give your own partner some attentrntion while you worked? you wound me, my love.” a small playful pout etched into his handsome features, placing a hand on his chest as he gasped dramatically.
-you tiredly giggled at him. now it was your turn to grab the hand that was resting on your shoulder and place a gentle peck onto the smooth leather of the glove that hugged his hand perfectly.
-he rubbed his free hand on his neck to subtly hide the growing flush thats creeping onto his ears, still surprised at how your acts of affection still flusters him even after years of the two of you being together.
-the blue-haired male gently takes the quill that was still in your hand away into the small stand next to the bottle of ink. he grabs the finished papers that were scattered across your desk and evens them out before placing them to the side opposite of the now smaller pile of unfinished paperwork.
-“kaeya, put me down!” you dragged out his name when you were suddenly picked up by the cavalry captain which made you slightly jump from the action. “i’m not something you can carry around as you please!”
-“oh then how can i spoil my tired partner like the royalty they are?” He teased, adjusting his grip around your back and legs as he carried you out of your office, now on route to your shared home.
-you rested your head on his shoulder after smacking his chest playfully, too tired to even make a proper response.
-a small smile formed on his lips, placing a gentle kiss on the crown of your head. “rest well, my love.”

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ DILUC RAGNIVINDR *ೃ༄
-“there we go.” you wiped the small sheen of sweat on your forehead after placing down one of many crates into the carriage that supposed to be sent out to a few merchants around liyue. you happened to stumble upon this old man right out front of the mansion at dawn winery who asked for some assistance to carry around the heavy boxes filled with wine bottles since no one else was around.
-‘this wouldn’t hurt to do. i still have enough time.’ you thought as you were quick to start moving the boxes.
-you were originally here to visit your beloved while doing your commissions since they were very close to the mansion and the just return back to mondstadt for other errands that you needed to do.
-it looks like that everyone wants your assistance today. you weren’t really complaining although it can get very overwhelming at times. you always tend to manage the pressure around your shoulders from taking commission after commission. that’s what everyone thought in their perspective.
-in reality, you were just trying to cope by drowning yourself with work. even if that meant skipping meals, losing rest, and even ignoring the hobbies you used to enjoy, barely even making time for it anymore. only making time for easing the workload for everyone.
-after the finishing up placing down the last crate down as the old man thanked you profusely for the help as he shook your hand. “thank you so much, i don’t know what I could’ve done without you help! seems like my age has caught up in these old bones of mine.”
-“it was nothing.” you gave him a small polite smile. awkwardly trying to find an opening to visit your partner that by now should be waiting for you to arrive in his abode, clearing your throat slightly. “pardon me- but i really do have to leave-“
“LOOK OUT!”
-before you could even register the yell, you pushed the man out of the way as you took the hit of the barrel that seemed to have fallen from being transported. stopping the heavy container with a grunt, your arms strained a bit before placing it upright.
-“oh gosh! are you alright!?” a young man with blonde hair and binoculars resting on his head frantically ran towards you hesitantly checking if you were injured or anything of the sorts. “i’m so so sorry! i don’t know how but the barrel just fell off from the carriage!”
-“please its okay really!” you shook your head with a chuckle, trying to ease the clumsy boy in front of you. “here let me help you with that.”
-you heaved the heavy barrel with ease, carrying it to the carriage and tying it into place securely. gently explaining what went wrong and gave him tips on what to improve in the future. he thanked you enthusiastically as he jogged towards a boy with long, messy silver hair waiting for him in the distance, almost tripping over his own feet along the way.
you giggled at the sight as you finally walked into the mansion, gently closing the front door as diluc’s servants greeting you and hanging up your jacket and satchel.
-“sometimes i’m still surprised how you always have time to help people, love.”
-you almost jumped out of your skin as diluc’s voice suddenly rung out in the manor. a small smile etched into your face, walking towards your partner that is sitting comfortably on one of the chairs in front of the fireplace, reading paperwork and letters that are on the table next to him.
-you ran a gentle hand through his thick, red locks that’s tied in a loose ponytail over his shoulder. he slightly melts in your touch, leaning back on his chair to relish the feeling of your fingers in his hair.
-you huffed a small laugh as you watched him relax, slowly untying the ribbon that’s holding his hair together, making a small braid with a piece of it. you both enjoyed the comfortable silence that fell, the soothing sound of the burning wood cracking and the gentle smell of herbal tea in the air.
-you can never get tired of these small moments after a whole day of working nonstop. you sometimes wish these moments could last forever but that just would be wishful thinking. you didn’t even realize that you let out a heavy sigh until the red-haired suddenly turned his head to look up at you with a concerned expression. “what’s wrong, dove? is something the matter?”
-you shook your head to dismiss the question but he pointed look he gave you made you cave in. you chuckled lightly as you kept playing with his hair, keeping your hands busy as you tried not to let your thoughts wander. “it’s nothing, love. just a bit tired.”
-diluc gently grabbed both of your hands and pulled you around from next to him so that you were now in front of him. he looked straight into your eyes as if searching for something which was working because you couldn’t handle lying while he was looking at you that ways with such worry in those beautiful crimson eyes of his.
-it’s like he reads through you and you shrunk in his observant gaze internally. both of you didn’t utter a thing, just looking at each other as you tried to make up an excuse to get out of the current situation you’re currently in.
-wordlessly, diluc slowly let go of your hands and opened his arms. your eyes widened, little surprised at the gesture but once you realized what he wanted to do, your nose began to sting and your vision blurred slightly. immediately sitting on his lap, not really caring if your straddling his legs, wrapping your arms around the red-haired mans shoulder while one of his arms slung comfortably around your waist and then the other rubbed soothing motions on the middle of your back.
-he squeezed you gently, pressing his cheek on the side of your head, placing soft kisses on it as you held back your tears from the comfort your lover is giving you. a few tears ran down your cheeks as you cursed silently, you nuzzled your face in the crook of his neck, slightly tightening your arms around him.
-“you don’t always have to carry all that workload everyday. i’m always here to help you carry at least a carry a small bit of it if it means helping you breathe easier.” he says gently while patting your head in an encouraging way after placing a small peck on the crown of your head. “you are always scolding me when i carry too much from my nightly activities, now its my turn to help you carry yours, now it’s your turn to lower those walls you always hold up, my dove.”
-you let out a small watery laugh as you nuzzled your head even further into his chest, finally letting the tears finally fall. “thank you, diluc.”
-and the whole afternoon was spent with the both of you enjoying each others company and a whole lot of scolding from diluc while making a whole new schedule for you so that you can have more time to rest.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ ALBEDO ·˚ ༘
-“shit.” you cursed under your breath as another sketch of a cecilia in a vase in the middle of the table as you took a small break from going through with some alchemical research that has been assigned to you. the small doodle failed miserably while you crumpled the piece of parchment and flicked it across the mess of books and test tubes spread around your notepad.
-you honestly thought trying out to just a simple doodle of the flower that was on the table as decoration to take off your thoughts off from your research was gonna be easy enough, right?
-oh how wrong you were.
-it all started out calmly, just making simplistic lines with just a flick of your pen, until you messed up a particular detail around the petals that you didn’t expect it to irk you that much, so you just ripped the page and placed it to the side and start all over again on a new page.
-being a perfectionist can be such pain sometimes.
-stubbornly, instead of tucking your notepad away and remove yourself from the mental stress that your putting yourself in, you reasoned yourself that it would just take a couple more tries couldn’t hurt to do.
-you don’t necessarily have a knack for drawing (if you are an artist just pretend that you don’t have the skill for the sake of the oneshot LOL bcs I’m an artist myself dhaskafh) you were more someone that prefer to keep your nose in books, quenching your curiosity by experimenting and even exploring the outdoors every once in a while.
-the thought of just sitting for long hours practicing your ability to draw without moving around makes you anxious since you weren’t someone that would keep still for a certain period of time before you are pacing around while reading documents for your assignments or walking around aimlessly in the library.
-you sighed in frustration as yet another attempt of the drawing failed because the lines for the petals looked shaky made you just lean back on your chair and closed your eyes while taking deep breaths to try and calm the storm of your thoughts, bouncing of your leg didn’t ease your anxiety. slowly overthinking on why you can’t do a simple doodle of a stupid flower.
-“well i wasn’t expecting to come back to the library with a sight like this.”
-the voice made you straighten your posture from the chair and snap your head towards the person that just came in. low and behold, it just happened to be the certain cheif alchemist of the knights of favonius, a few books and scrolls in one arm pinned to his chest and his other was holding his coat.
-“albedo! i thought i wouldn’t be seeing you in the next couple of days!” you piped up and got up from your chair trying to hide the fact that you were having a mental breakdown a few seconds ago, quickly reorganizing the messy cutter.
-the blond, the ever so observant person he is, caught on to the fake cheery behavior but he brushed it off. “it seems that the situation up in dragonspine was resolved swiftly and no one got injured so i decided to go back here to send in the report to jean.”
-he walked closer to the table you are at and places his things on the clear space next to you before turning towards you and placed a gloved hand on our forearm. “i also wanted to see you as well since i knew you were occupied with the research that sucrose assigned to you. how is the experiment coming along?”
-“here,” you gathered your notes and papers and handed it to him. “this is everything that i have gathered so far.”
-albedo read through the notes, his free hand on his chin as he read through the papers and observed the beakers that were placed across the table with different coloured liquids on each one of them.
-“everything you have noted so far is correct and precise with good explanations of each hypotheses, i would like for you to demonstrate me the experemant-“ his bright blue eyes fell to the notepad with the half finished sketch of a cecilia. he placed down the apes and grabbed the notepad, gloved fingers lightly tracing the lines on the parchement.
-he turned towards you, head tilted in curiosity. “did you draw this?”
-his face didn’t express much but his eyes held curiosity, although you swore that you saw a small hint of his smile on his lips.
-you let out a sheepish laugh, rubbing your forearm in embarrassment. “yeah- i wanted to try and sketch the cecilia while taking a break from doing experiments all afternoon but as you can see,” you gestured the small pile of crumbled paper
-albedo let out a small chuckle at your flushed state. “for your first time, i think you did very well.”
-“your just saying that.” you looked away, now the stress that you had suddenly came back, you hope your lover wasn’t able to see you crumble slightly in his sharp gaze. “i’m not as good as you.”
-a gloved hand lightly took your chin and directed it towards him before it cupped your cheek, his thumb rubbing soothing motions on your cheekbone. his face was stoic as ever but his eyes held such gentleness that caught you off guard, you leaned into his touch and your eyes glazed over.
-his eyes softened as he let a small smile break through his face, wiping a lone tear that managed to escape. slowly leaning in and placing a small kiss on your forehead, it lasted for a bit before he brought your head to the space between his neck and shoulder.
-he didn’t say much while he let you clutch the soft fabric of his royal blue shirt and embrace him as much as you wanted to. albedo’s hand played with your hair between his fingers, gently swaying you back to try and quiet your sniffles.
-you both stayed like that for a while before the blond pulled away from the embrace first, he grabbed a small handkerchief that was in his pocket and dabbed gingerly the salty tears away while encouraging you and telling affirmations but hearing that just made you want to cry even harder. you fought back the urge, letting out watery chuckles, thanking him.
-“how about i teach you the basics of drawing? i would be pleased to guide you, if you’d let me.” placing a peck on your calloused palm, he tugged your arm while he grabbed his signature clipboard and paper.
-and how can you say no to that pretty face?

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ VENTI ⍣ ೋ
-you genuinely didn’t know how you ended up in this situation.
-you were just trying to get through this night shift at the tavern as the waiter, this particular night was full of people, the celebration of (aether/lumine) returning back to visit mondstadt. even most of the knights of favonius were here tonight. amber, lisa, kaeya, eula, albedo, sucrose, and even jean were here for the celebration with the traveler on the second floor, only reserved for them. non-knights were also at the tavern, diluc (as always behind the bar preparing drinks and observing the lively activity), rosaría, and, venti were seated at the bar, enjoying their respective beverages while chatting with the owner.
-you chatted with them every now and then but given that you were the one bringing orders and taking care bringing drinks to tables. you honestly just got this job to raise more mora for yourself and diluc was pleased with you offering to help around the tavern with charles while he leaves for his nightly darknight hero errands.
-“a bottle of dandelion wine, two apple ciders and one berry and mint burst for the small party at table six.” you placed the tray on the countertop while leaning your side to the bar, putting your weight against it, bringing your hand up to push the messy strands of hair away from your face.
-diluc nodded towards you, long red hair bouncing behind him as it’s pulled back into a high ponytail. watching him prepare the drinks with such ease and confidence that it never fails to impress you that this man doesn’t drink.
-a small tired sigh left through your nose as you noticed the exhaustion slowly seeping into your system. you weren’t even a few hours in and yet interacting with this many people certainly drained your social battery.
-“you look quite tired there, windblume. need your boyfriend to whisk you away into the late hours of the night?” a cheery voiced chirped at you with a giggle next to you.
-“a little but the amount of people here certainly caught me by surprise tonight.” you turn your head and give a small smile to your lover whose downing another cup of dandelion wine.
-he hummed as he poured himself another amount into the wine glass which made the redhead behind the counter glare at him slightly before going back to preparing drinks and placing them next to the tray for you to take to the table.
-“don’t drink so much tonight, venti.” you laugh playfully at him while playing with one of his braids before giving his shoulder a stern squeeze as a warning. “you don’t want me to carry you out while i pay your tab again now do you?”
-“aww you don’t want to ruin my fun while there’s a celebration tonight.” he pouts a bit while he moved the glass in gentle circles, watching the liquid dance around the shape of the glass before grabbing one of your hands and placing a small peck on the knuckle of your ring finger before muttering for only you to hear with a small smirk on his lips. “unless you want your beloved to be all over you when we get home.”
-you rolled your eyes playfully, chuckling while lightly pushing his face away from you, carefully placing the drinks on the tray and walking away with a slight sway of your hips as you looked over your shoulder behind you, sending a small wink. “we’ll see how you act later after i take care of you.”
-you walked away before you could see the burning blush present on his ears as he downed another drink.
-“sorry for the wait! busy, busy night in this tavern with the celebration going on.” you gave a small polite smile towards the group, calling out the drink names to place them in front of each person who ordered it. you noticed some of the people in the group whispering to the woman across of them while glancing at you every now and then but you brushed it off, making some small talk with the others that were at the table.
-“besides how busy tonight is, are you perhaps busy later after your shift, handsome?” the woman spoke up with a small sly smile, placing her chin on the head that was resting on the table while taking a sip of her drink. it looked like she was already going far into the amount drinks she has consumed. here we go again.
-“yes i would be busy after my shift.” you chuckle at the question, starting to feel quite uncomfortable, trying to find an excuse to get yourself out of this situation.
-“well that’s too bad.” the woman pouted playfully which made you want to cringe into yourself. “i was hoping to take you home tonight, cutie.”
-okay now you wanted the ground to swallow you whole.
-your eye twitch. you honestly preferred to be called cutie when lisa does it but you somehow managed to force a smile at the woman who is too damn blind to take your hints of rejection. “no thank you, miss. i’m not interested, now i’m going back to work so i hope you guys get to enjoy your night.”
-“hey, you’re no fun!” you subtly rolled your eyes as you ignored the companion that was next to the woman who was almost to the point of passing out that was encouraging her behavior. you slowly turned away, but before you could even attend the table that flagged you down, the drunk woman grabbed onto your bicep and batted her eyelashes up at you.
-“i can take really good care of you, y’know. don’t start playing hard to get, handsome.” while she whined, she ran her other hand across your chest, a manicured nail playing with the button of your shirt.
-“please let go of me-” you tried pulling your arm away but she held it on even tighter. given to how strong you already are you can easily yank your arm away from her but you didn’t want to cause a scene.
-“miss, no is no!” your breathing slowly started to become a bit ragged as you tried to pull away but the drunk woman kept persisting and handling you roughly, making you drop the tray with other drinks, flinching when it crashed on the ground.
-the whole bar went dead silent to the point you can hear a pin drop, attention now drawn towards the cause of the sound while you kept telling the woman to let go of you.
suddenly there was a small gust of wind that almost made you stumble. before you even knew it, a certain bard forcefully made space between you and the other woman, standing in front of you in a protective manner, glaring down at her. the angry expression on his usual cheery demeanor made you shiver internally at how frightening he looks. “they said no.”
-“venti.” you muttered quietly, trying not to visibly shake under the attention that has been directed towards you, wrapping your arms around yourself as a small form of comfort.
-a gentle hand touched your shoulder, making you glance over diluc you nods reassuringly at you before stepping forward to stand in front of the bard as he towers over the woman who is sheepishly trying to brush of the altercation that just happened.
-“this was just a big understanding! i was just talking to this cutie-“ before she could even utter another word, diluc raised a gloved hand up to silence her which made her gulp at the angry red head in front of her as he glared at her.
-“harassing my waiter is not acceptable in this tavern. your ongoing behavior has pestered the other customers enough.” the red head began, gesturing everyone that is looking at the situation unfold, making the group sitting at the table cringe into themselves. “so please leave this establishment before the knights of favonius escort you out personally.”
-the two sober knights that were standing by the door swiftly walked up to the woman and her companions while they clumsily grabbed their belongings and followed the knights, their heads hung from embarrassment, ignoring the looming gazes of the people seated throughout the tavern.
-before they left out the door, diluc added. “oh and don’t even think you’ll ever come back here again.”
-pity filled gazes now turned towards your shaking figure while you walked towards the door that takes you to the storage room next to the bar, venti quickly turned and shouted to the audience “hey! don’t let this situation bring down the festive mood. a round of drinks for everyone, master diluc! put it on my tab of course!”
-that seemed to get the people forget the situation that happened prior quickly as they cheered at his generosity while he went to the back to check his beloved, sending a quick nod towards the door as diluc let him slip out quickly while preparing the big order of drinks with a sigh, charles passing around drinks and jotting down orders while venti took care of you.
-“windblume?” venti walked through the storage unit while quietly calling out to you, trying to find you after the whole ordeal that must have affected you greatly.
-a sound of soft sniffles caught his attention behind one of the wrack holding various bottles of wine and beverages. the bard circled around the corner, seeing you sitting on the ground with your head tucked in your arms that rested over your knees as your body shook, fingers clutching your sleeves tightly, making your knuckles turn white.
-his teal eyes softened at the sight of you, he slowly knelt down in front of you, still giving you space until you let him. he sat on his calves as he watched your shaken form.
-“my beloved?” he called out softly again, hoping that you acknowledged that he’s right here if you need him fir anything.
-you slowly pulled your head away from the resting place of your arms, shiny [e/c] eyes staring back at him filled with a storm of thoughts surrounded them but venti still thought that you still look as handsome as ever as the tears made your eyes look clearer and brighter than normal.
-he smiled gently, slowly raising a hand towards your face, making sure that your eyes have full view of what he’s doing just in case if you wanted to pull away.
-his hand stopped just to hover over your cheek, tilting his head as if to ask for permission before touching you.
-you closed your eyes, nodding. flinching a little before relaxing into the coolness of his hand on your cheek. venti’s smile only widened, scooting a little closer while threading his free hand through your hair and placing a soft kiss in between the space of your eyebrows.
-“my precious windblume is so strong, carrying all this weight and spreading kindness in your wake. i’m so proud of you, my love. how lucky i am to have such a strong and brave partner like you. you never fail to surprise me with the things you do every day. carrying so much weight that i sometimes wish that you’d let me carry half of it. i love you so much, windblume.”
-here comes the other wave of tears. you tackled your boyfriend, making him stumble back and land with a small ‘oof’ with you hiding your face into his neck.
-“although i might need to stop drinking a while to pay off the huge tab i placed myself tonight.” the bard laughs, squeezing you in his hold, pressing his cheek on the side of your head, letting you hug him as much as you want to. he feels your chest rumble with a weak chuckle at his statement which made his heart flutter with ease knowing that he can cheer you up even its only a little bit.
-he slipped his hand under your chin to pull your face up as he placed a chaste kiss on your lips. “let me take care of you tonight my love.”

synopsis: kaeya is none the wiser to the people around him and what it is they think about him- he didn't get his title of 'top candidate for grandson in law' for nothing. however, he never thought he'd get so swept up in his own feelings that when he does, he decides he has to put a stop to them no matter the cost. but can he really follow through with that?

“A mosaic.”
That was your answer to a question Paimon and the Traveler asks while you were meandering around the Favonius Library looking for a book you needed for some personal research. They had run into you there and a conversation about what some citizens of the City of Freedom embody had sprung up somehow. For example, Paimon was very set on saying that Master Diluc was a rock- set in his ways and tough to budge- and so on from there.  The ideas and objects tossed around were anywhere between insightful and downright silly.
So, it was inevitable that eventually the trio would cycle around to the Knights. Jean was dubbed a Dandelion according to the Traveler and Lisa was crowned as an elegant bookmark that was so sharp it would cause terrible papercuts. Of course, Lisa’s object was picked ever so gracefully by Paimon even if it didn’t make much sense she was set on her answer, and nothing would change her mind. Then, when the personification of one Kaeya Alberich came around, admittingly the two Outlanders were stumped.
Kaeya would always peruse around with such an air of mystery. Keeping important aspects of himself tucked so far away that very few people knew of his secrets- and they were tight lipped for their own reasons.  His smooth tongue aided him greatly whenever someone would ask about himself personally- spinning tales and weaving verses that got him out of any sort of personal interrogation.
The trio knew if they asked Diluc, he’d give a short and possibly crude answer.  Jean would probably give him some illusion of not being sorted into such games and Lisa would just think you three were adorable and not give her two cents at all. You, however, thought on it for a bit longer and finally had an answer.
“A mosaic?” Paimon mimicked, making sure her voice was kept down in the sanctuary of books. “Like the artwork?”
“He is good looking,” Traveler pitched and it was true. Even people with aged or poor working eyes could see Kaeya was far from being an ugly man.
“I don't see how him being a little ‘good looking’ is deserving of the title of being a piece art!” You chuckle at Paimon’s small fit of confusion.
“Well, ignoring his looks, a mosaic is a piece of work that is made of small pieces right? It isn’t whole until it’s all put together. Just like a puzzle.”
“So, he’s a glorified puzzle?”
“That isn’t what I meant,” you shake your head in a small chuckle. You take a small trip to another corner of the library and run your fingers along the spines of different books before you grab one and easily slide it out of its spot on the shelf.
It’s a book on different types of art. Flipping the pages you find a page with a drawn on copy of a mosaic from another country. You lay it down on a nearby table and tap the drawing with your fingertip.
“What I meant was the process of becoming a mosaic- how it’s created.” you trace the empty spaces of white on the page where the piece of the drawn on piece were supposed to connect to create a bigger piece. “Various pieces of work all put together to make one big picture. A series of events leading to a grand conclusion of hardwork and patience. Maybe it took a lot of time and work. Sometimes creating such a piece was so frustrating at times you wanted to give up, or maybe sometimes nothing looked right. But, by the end of it all- it couldn’t be anything but a wonderful representation of all those struggles.”
Paimon floated in awe at your explanation and the Travelers playfully placed their hands on their hips as they looked at you.
“You sure think highly of Kaeya, don’t you?”
“It’s that noticeable, huh?” You chuckle a tad embarrassed. Your long-standing puppy-crush on Kaeya you’ve had since you met him wasn’t always the best hidden secret. In fact, you were almost positive that the Cavalry Captain himself knew you had a thing for him, but you were happy he never cornered you about it.
“You’re a love-struck citizen alright,” Paimon rushed to the Traveler’s side in making slight jests at you. You shut the book you had used to try and explain your choice of object and rubbed the back of your neck as you ignore the warmth in your face.
“Yeah, yeah, I get it.” You turn on your heel and walk back to the shelf to replace the book. Paimon had cupped a small hand around her chin before she was floating over to your side and asking you another question.
“So, if Kaeya is a mosaic, then who’s his artist?” You look at her and blink a few times, processing what she was asking. You didn’t expect a question like that.  You cup your own chin in thought and after a moment, you laugh at being caught off guard.
“I hadn’t thought of that.  I guess maybe Mondstadt itself? It is where all his friends and family are after all. Oh, and his job of course.”
“That makes sense,” Paimon muses, seemingly satisfied with your answer. The conversation had moved from the shelves to the open space of the library and soon out the doors. As the three of you left, the topic of objects to people shifted to one of getting some food into Paimon’s ever empty stomach.
The book you had previously replaced back on the shelf was easily slid back out by a hand adorning open finger gloves. Taking a relaxed seat at a nearby table, he flipped to the very page you had been on before and looked at the image himself with a small huff that twisted into a quirk of his lips.
“How interesting,” he muses before reading the whole installment about that specific piece of art. After all, how could he not?

The next morning was quick to roll around. After a hearty meal at the Good Hunter and pleasant good nights exchanged with the Traveler and Paimon, you were more than ready to head back home to rest. After a swift debrief on the commissions set aside for you today, you move out of the way and off to the side so you could flip through the four pages of individual commission information.
A typical site clearing of hilicurls, a balloon transport, and two other sites said to be infested with abyss mages and mitacurls. Taking a deep breath and letting it out in the form of a heavy sigh, you roll your neck and shoulders. It looked to be a very physical day, considering the commissions alone were already enough, they were hardly close in range to each other.
“My, what does this sunny morning lack that is making your shoulder’s slack so much,” the familiar voice of the ever lingering person on your mind spoke. Lowering your commissions and offering him a greeting smile, you watch as Kaeya marches his way down the stone steps of Mondstadt to you.
“The weather has nothing to do with it, I'll have you know.” When he finally gets to your sides, he silently offers his hand out for your daily commission sheets. You hand them over and resume your small effort of stretching. His eyes quickly scan sheet after sheet before he’s clicking his teeth and shaking his head.
“Having your run all the way to Stormbearer, to Windrise, down to Springvale and then back up to Wolvendom is just cruel.” The way his voice has that familiar lithe to it, you knew he only half meant what he said.
“Maybe I’ll get lucky and run into the Traveler who can do me a favor by hitching me a ride on a Waypoint.” You quickly take your commissions back and fold them down twice before storing them away in your pack. Watching the sun’s orange morning hue fade into its daylight yellow was tell enough that you had to get moving or else you’d be rushing to get your work done. Kaeya walked you to the city gate and even across the bridge before you were ready to set off.
This is practically routine. You weren’t sure when it started, but at some point, Kaeya had started meeting you at the Adventurer’s Guild after receiving your daily commissions and would insist on escorting you out of the city. He claimed it was on the way of his morning walk to stretch his legs, but you weren’t sure how much you believed him. You allowed him to do it anyway since it always set up a good start to your day.
Getting a small amount of Kaeya’s time was something you would relish since you never wanted to impede on his busy schedule with the Knights. It was the small selfish part of you that wanted to capitalize on this so-called ‘alone’ time that lasted only a small piece of the day.
“Be careful,” Kaeya always tell you and you always nod back to him a simple ‘I will’ before he would watch you disappear down the worn, dirt paths. Your first destination would be Stormbearer Mountain it appears.
Most of Kaeya’s morning consisted of going over documents shoved on him courtesy of his position as one of the ten Captains within the knight’s ranks.  With sighs echoing in his private workspace every few minutes and multiple tempting ideas of sneaking out without even processing the paperwork, he finally finished and approved the last document before placing it in a file on his desk that Jean would surely come and snag from him later.
Leaning back in his chair that would soon need the cushions replaced, he craned his neck to gaze out the tall window in his office.  The sun was much higher in the sky than it was when he had arrived earlier that morning.  His thoughts easily drifted to you and a frown found its way onto his lips.
“Are you doing alright?” Kaeya delicately asked to the air of solitude around him.  You were more than capable to handle yourself.  In truth, if you weren’t already associated with the Guild and kept so busy by them, Jean probably would’ve scouted you for the Knights instead.  ‘Your skills are impressive, and the others could learn a lot from you’, that’s probably what Jean’s pitch would be. All true of course, sometimes the job of trying to train the lower ranking knights was more of a chore than a duty, once Kaeya would often get stuck with.
He'd be more than happy to spar with you instead any day.
Steering his gaze away from the window and moving it towards the ceiling, he traced the wooden beams above him with his single visible eye. He sighed again- this time not because of his now finished paperwork.
“Surely, they’d be in Windrise by now… right?” His fingers drummed against the arm of his chair before he was bringing his chin back down to lock onto his office door.  His paperwork was done, so maybe…
Two knocks rapped against the thick door and Kaeya’s posture straightened out of habit. A muffled ‘Captain?’ heard behind it.  He let his head sink as a small, defeated breath left his open mouth before correcting himself again.
“You can come in,” he answered.  Guess his plans to sneak away were once again foiled.
By the time Kaeya made it out of HQ it was already late into the afternoon.  Stretching after stepping foot out of the large entrance, he stepped down the short set of stone steps before making his way towards the front of the city.  You must be back now, or close to the city at the very least.  It had been almost the whole day, if you weren’t back yet he’d simply go on an unprompted adventure to ‘bump into you’. Luckily, there you were; standing in front of the Guild and talking to Katheryne once again. Although, the look of you was less than encouraging.
While you yourself seemed more or less fine, just from the distance between the top set of steps by Good Hunter to you at the Adventurer's Guild Reception, he could tell your commissions had worn you out today. It was no wonder considering the distance between them. Your clothes had clearly been fixed prior to you reentering the city since the dirt and stains on them were a clear indicator that you had your fair share of roughing up.
Kaeya can, and did mostly, dismiss this all, however.  It was the serious look on Katheryne’s face and the way yours didn't show relief after a hard day's work like it normally would be. He started making his way towards you and started catching bits of the conversion you both were having.
“I deeply apologize, y/n, but it’s an Emergency Commission we just received.” The way Katheryne’s voice was coated in tension made Kaeya’s pace harden. When he had arrived at your side, his hand came up to rest on your back without his notice as he looked at the way you held your head in your hand like you were preventing an oncoming headache.
“What’s the problem?” Kaeya made it a point to look at you- directing the question at you and not Katheryne. Your hand dropped and you sighed with a shake of your head before looking at him.
“It’s nothing, just a last-minute Commission.”
“What? You just got back from your commissions, didn’t you?”
“It’s an Emergency. I can’t just brush it off.”
“Make someone else take it then.”
“No one else is available.”
“y/n.”
“Kaeya.”
The small verbal battle you both engaged in was empty and Kaeya knew he was playing a losing game. He let out a sigh before he finally turned to look at Katheryne who must have all the patience in the world for standing by and letting you both bicker until she was needed for something.
“What is the commission exactly?”
“Apparently, a Ruin Guard has been spotted near Springvale after a passing Adventurer accidentally triggered its detection sensors. The nearby residents are frightened it could march into someone’s territory and wreak havoc there.”
Kaeya pinched the bridge of his nose with his free hand- the other still mindlessly resting on your back- as he sighed.  This is indeed something that couldn’t be pushed off for someone else to take. When it comes to those old machines, who knows what could happen if they aren’t swiftly deactivated. The Captain was at an impasse; letting you go after already being exhausted from running around all day or tying you to one of the Guild’s posts and keeping you there until someone else passed by that Katheryne could snag instead.
“Fine,” Kaeya relented.  His hand finally dropped from your back and crossed with his other arm over his chest. “I shall accompany you then.” He saw you open your mouth- probably to protest- but he didn’t let you. “Ah-ah,” he tutted at you, “no arguments. Let’s get moving.” He uncrosses his arms to grab your shoulders, spin you around and lightly push you to get your legs moving.
Luckily, Kaeya’s vision was extra compatible with your own. While your fight styles were different, the fact you had a hydro vision was very much a blessing. It was quiet easy work taking down a Ruin Guard that had been drenched in water then subsequently frozen. After picking up a few dropped items from the timeless machine, Kaeya had stood up and placed his hands on his hips as if proud of himself.
“Aren’t you happy I decided to tag along now? We made quick work of that Ruin Guard.”
You can only roll your eyes at the smoothtalker.  Still, you quietly laugh at his antics all the same. Finally calling it a day in the middle of the field you had previously battled in with him, you lay down on the grass.  You were already covered in sweat, dirt and other stains from your earlier commissions, so getting a little more on your clothes wasn’t a concern. You shut your eyes and took in the breeze you silently thanked Lord Barbatos for as you took in a deep breath, letting yourself decompress.
Kaeya stood over you, moving so his boots were on either side of your head and he was looking down at your relaxing face.  With your eyes closed, you didn’t get to see the smile that was only ever present when you weren’t looking.  The moment your eyes would open, you would only see his normal everyday grin. And open your eye did and oh how lovely they were. The evening glow did wonders for their color.
Evening. Yes, it is getting rather late now.
“Are you ready to head back now?” He asked and you nod. Sitting up, Kaeya offers to carry you back to the city on his back- which you decline. That didn’t stop the fact that you reentered Mondstadt securely resting on Kaeya’s back as he held you up with a slight bend to his posture and firm grip on your legs.
Tumblr media
This routine would continue for as long as Kaeya’s luck would allow.  He’d be the first to see you in the mornings before being the one to walk you out of the city and if he was lucky, he’d be the first to greet you back (not including Katheryn).
If Kaeya was lucky he would greet you back into the city and spend more time at your side.  Reporting in with you to the Guild. Running a few errands like stopping by to purchase things from Blanche or getting your polearm enhanced or repaired at the smith.
If Kaeya was lucky, he would persuade you into getting dinner with him or dropping by the Cat’s Tail for some casual TCG matches when he was off duty.
If Kaeya was lucky, the conversation between you both would be flowing well enough that even if there was nothing left to do, he’d be privileged enough to walk you home or come inside to continue occupying your time until you fall asleep or push him out the door saying that he had to get up for work in the morning.
Today was not Kaeya’s lucky day.  When he got up this morning, his routine to finding you was practically ingrained in his muscles and when he didn’t see you at the stone steps, city gates or the Guild’s reception, confusion crossed his brows.  He casually took a seat on one of the nearby outside stools by the Cat’s Tail and waited until the time to clock in at HQ was growing closer.  With hesitation, he got up and looked around for you once more just to see if maybe he could at least catch a glimpse of you rushing around to get a (rather late) start to the day.
He was antsy all day and he was astonished to find out that throwing a wrench in his morning threw off his day so much. Kaeya knew that seeing you first thing in the morning was quite a lovely way to start his day, but he didn’t know the extent in which it could affect the rest of it.  Not exchanging a good morning with you or even saying his usual ‘be safe’ message at the edge of Mondstadt nagged at him.
Currently, he was sitting in a remote corner of the Favonious library, legs crossed as his rear was sat towards the front of the seat to make up for the fact his back was bent over the back of it.  He rests a flimsy, paperback book over his face, the pages scent of old paper and ink invaded his nose and the feeling of them rubbed against his cheeks. One of his hands held it open with his thumb and pinky and the other arm was hanging uselessly at his side, his wrist bouncing against his vision from time to time just for something to interact with.
Underneath the book, his eye was closed.  He had tried reading the passages in this particular book at least four times now, but the words just weren’t registering in his mind, so he had given up. He was left listless; certain he could easily fall asleep in this very position at any given time. Of course, it wasn’t often that Captain Kaeya would get much quiet time to himself anyways.
“Uh, what are you doing?” The voice of Paimon made Kaeya’s eye open under the book before he was pulling it down his face enough to only reveal that one eye.  Seeing Paimon floating at the Traveler’s side made him slip the book off his face completely and shut it before setting it on the table in front of him. His posture was corrected as he sat up straighter and rolled his neck.
“Couldn't you tell? I was reading.”
“Paimon think’s you were slacking off.”
“Is that what it looked like?” He jokes as he pushes his chair back and stands up properly before placing one of his hands on his hips. “I would never be caught slacking off, you wound me.”
“We’ve heard that before,” Paimon sighs with a shake of her head.  In the moment, Kaeya is reminded of the conversation he overheard before between you and the other two. The same time of day, the same location, the same two participants of that conversation.
“Say,” he says to gain both of their attention, “what do you think it is?” Kaeya’s exceptionally broad and unprecedented question left the two Outlanders confused. The way the Captain could almost see materialized question marks float around their heads was comical before he elaborated. “I’m asking about my artist, of course. Surely you must have your own idea, no?”
Both Traveler and Paimon’s mouth opened in shock.
“You were listening?!” Paimon shrieks before she is shushed by other people in the library for her volume.
“It’s rude to eavesdrop, Kaeya,” Traveler tells him as they cross their arms over their chest.  Kaeya fakes a gasp before shaking his head and shrugging with his arms up.
“Eavesdropping? Why, I’d never.” He dropped his arms back to his sides. “I was simply in the area and didn’t want to interrupt such a compelling conversation topic. That would’ve been quite rude of me, wouldn’t you agree?” The looks he received were easily brushed off. “Anyway, you didn’t answer my question.”
“Well,” Paimon started, “didn’t y/n say it would be Mondstadt?”
“And? Do you agree with them?”
“Paimon doesn’t see a reason why not,” she shrugs in the air.
“I see,” Kaeya’s arm crosses over his chest before he’s resting his opposite elbow on it to cup his chin. His gaze shifts downward before he's blinking slowly, meaningfully. “I suppose I could give you half marks.”
“Half marks?!” Paimon whispers.
“What about ‘the people of Mondstadt?’” The Traveler interjects.  Kaeya’s eye shoots back to them and his hand drops from his chin to resume a casual stance.
“That assumption is largely correct as well.” The smile he gives the two gives nothing away. It wasn’t clear if he was sincere about what he said or if he was just saying it to hear himself talk. “A mosaic is usually a large piece, yes? It would make sense for there to be multiple people taking part in such a project at some point I suppose.”
“You suppose? You’re just running us in circles here!”
“I don’t know what you mean,” Kaeya deflects with a lighthearted tone and short laugh.
“Fine! We get it!” Paimon huffs before the conversation devolves into little to nothing until he is parting ways with the two, leaving the library and ready to end the day that seemed to have lasted longer than usual. Despite having a rather lax day, he felt lethargic.
Yet, despite his lethargy, when he finally made it out of his day clothes and into his bed, all he could do was lay on top of his covers and stare at the ceiling. His eyepatch had been removed- just as always when he was in the confines of his home- and his long bangs covered the eye that was always so accustomed to the darkness.  One of his legs was propped up on the mattress with the other stretched out and his arms were folded behind his head.
His mind was curious about a number of things all the time- so his racing thoughts weren’t unknown to him. Still, the nagging feeling in the back of his mind didn’t let up. Was not seeing you at all really that much of a clog in his daily life? It made him feel so off-set and that alone was enough to plant a seed of anxiety in his chest.
Kaeya sighs to himself and his ceiling before rolling to his side and letting his bangs slip across his face and reveal his always concealed eye between the blue strands. He closes his eyes and wills his mind to stop dwelling on menial things.
Heart and mind are difficult things to cooperate with one another though.
Kaeya Alberich couldn’t risk getting mixed up in too many personal things- it made his future even more murky and daunting than it already was.
Tumblr media
After that one day of missing seeing you out before your commission, Kaeya tried to do it less on purpose. Maybe that was a message from the gods themselves that he needed to take a step back. If your very presence could affect his day to day life like it had, he needed to back off for his sake and yours. And while he didn’t see you off, he still would welcome you back any chance he saw you return to the city with a raised hand he would immediately tuck away again.
“I didn’t do anything to make you upset, did I?” Of course, you had noticed his sudden shift in nature.
“Of course not,” he tells you as sincerely as he could. His smile was strained on his lips and his nose felt like twitching from the sheer effort it took just to pull them up. From the unamused look you gave him at his answer, he knew you knew he wasn’t being completely truthful. Still, you just looked away from him and sighed. Kaeya was grateful you didn’t push the issue because a part of him was sure if you had, he would’ve spilled his guts about things he wasn’t sure of himself just yet.
The process of slowly taking steps away from you wasn’t pleasant for either party. Kaeya’s days had devolved into nothing but more boring paperwork and patrols he could do with his eye closed, and that would mean seeing nothing at all. The dull lag of the daytime was boring to him with nothing to do between his job and downtime he suddenly had. The Angels Share's atmosphere was a welcome comfort to his new, unpleasant routine- though, he could do without the looks from Diluc.
Meanwhile, you had felt the sting of dejection in your chest. You had come to the assumption that maybe Kaeya had finally taken action on your unspoken feelings for him and was politely telling you to take a hike. It was logical to you; a common everyday Adventurer probably couldn’t make it work out with one of the Knights’ Captains. His previous time spent with you was probably just a hindrance, a distraction from his real work, so this was good. He could focus on what was important, protecting Mondstadt.
Though, that mental pep talk didn’t make it hurt any less.
Just like Kaeya, you decided to bury yourself in your work. Taking commissions on top of any other field requests. Clearing hilicurl camps wasn’t something difficult and while the occasional Abyss Mage was a pain, it was all manageable. So, when your back to back jobs kept you out of the city for days at a time, that slowly became the norm for the citizens of Mondstadt.
It was only natural for no one to notice.
“Has it really been that long?!” Kaeya had been passing through the central square of Mondstadt when he heard the familiar shrill of Paimon. His interest took little to be piqued and he easily strut his way over. “And no one has tried looking for them yet?” Paimon and the Traveler were stuck in a conversation with Katheryne as is the norm for them nowadays when their travels bring them back to the City of Freedom. “Oohhh,” Paimon worries, “Paimon’s worried.”
“What’s the problem,” Kaeya interjects into the conversation. All eyes shift to him, his easy strides coming to a stop when he fully joins the group with his arms crossing over his chest. “My, what’s with all the long faces?”
“Kaeya!” Paimon screeches. “Oh, maybe you’ll know! Have you seen y/n around?” Kaeya’s chest tightens.
“Y/n? I’m afraid we’ve both been too wrapped up in our own duties recently. Sorry to disappoint.” The slight light of hope Paimon dawned dimmed and worry once again took over her features. The tension in his chest felt tighter, like a white-hot coil was entangling itself around his insides and replacing his ribcage. “Has something happened?” He asks slowly, making quite sure his voice doesn’t crack or waver. All his hard work to distance himself from you can’t unravel now; not when you aren’t even here.
“We aren’t sure,” Katheryne fills in.  All eyes look to her as she repeats what she had just told the duo before Kaeya arrived. “Y/n had taken a rather dangerous commission the other day. It was a job that required them to explore and investigate some ruins that had been discovered behind a wall of rocks on Stormbearer. The commission should’ve well run its course by now, but we haven’t heard back from either the client or y/n, so some of us are beginning to worry.”
Kaeya’s fists clenched, but no one took notice of them under his cross-armed stance. He made sure to keep his face from giving himself away.
“Have you made the issue known to the Acting Grand Master?” He questions. Katheryne shakes her head.
“No, we haven’t. We had had planned on bringing it to her attention if y/n still doesn’t get in touch with us by this evening.”
“We should let Jean know right now!” Paimon insists and the Traveler easily nods in agreement. “What if they’re stuck in the ruins. Or- or hurt or something!” Paimon’s worry bleeds easily into her words like a fresh wound into water.
“The last thing we should do is panic,” Kaeya said hypocritically. His gut felt like a boiling cauldron with panic as the main ingredient. Still, his many years of being persuasive and aloof didn’t let any of that show.
Though, the off hand look the Traveler shot him made him doubt himself; they’ve been awfully diligent when it comes to reading him ever since his wild goose chase he sent them on not long after they arrived in Mondstadt. Or maybe it was just because they had more experience than he initially thought. Still, it almost made him squirm.
“Well, we’re going to go tell Jean!” Paimon declared, her small hands on her hips as she bobbed up and down in the air. Kaeya just shrugs indifferently, surely not making any moves to oppose them. With a small huff, Paimon and the Traveler take off towards the Knights Headquarters. When they were well out of earshot and sight, Kaeya’s cross arms drop and his gaze moves to the ever-open gate that showed the wilds outside of Mondstadt.
“Katheryne,” he almost whispers. “You said Stormbearer?”

Your vision was blurred when you opened your eyes from your, albeit useless, slumber. You had long since tucked yourself between a small alcove of debris and rock in the ruins you had agreed to investigate. Had you known the person who had commissioned this job was some ruin machine-obsessed loon, you wouldn’t had agreed so easily. A couple ruin guards aren’t a big deal, but adding their mechanical brethren- so to speak- on top of a nut job maintaining them the moment you have to step away to recoup, that's when things get tricky.
Your body had long since grown exhausted from using your Vision by excessively trying not to get killed. Luckily, the mad man only had his madness going for him, so hiding from his view was easy. Staying hidden from the machine’s censors was what worried you, but you had succeeded so far. Because of that very fact, however; you were reluctant to move. Beyond your weary body, hunger and thirst were starting to eat away at you too.
Having been in hiding with no ample moment to even try fleeing back to the city for additional aid, you had run through what little rations you had. Your gut ached with hunger pains and your throat had never felt dryer, still you weren’t backed up against the preverbal wall so much you threw all caution to the wind.
Your polearm had remained materialized as you kept it rested against your shoulder for ease of quick use should you require it.  Your vision had never felt heavier from its placement on your person and your hands cramped from how tightly you had gripped your weapon’s staff. You let your head fall back into the rock behind you and let out a silent sigh.
In truth, you felt more foolish than injured or exhausted. You knew this commission sounded… odd, but you took it anyway. Anything to help distract your mind from the ever cloudy presence of Kaeya- or lack thereof.
Your small sliver of respite you found in your cove of rock and debris was beginning to quake and crumble… literally. Your eyes you hadn’t realized had dropped back down shoot open and between the crumbling dust that threatened to get into them, you could hear the engines of machines whirring above you. You scramble to get out into the open before your previously, temporary safety could crush you. Though, coming out meant that you would be more vulnerable than you’d prefer.
The moment your gaze lands on that familiar warm glow of the back of a Ruin Guard, you throw your polearm into its core, coating the blade with water from your Vision without much thought. The guard crackled with electricity as it malfunctioned and was brought to its metallic knees. Sprinting to its back to quickly retrieve your polearm, you made sure to use your Vision to drench its legs and feet just in case it got back up again. Perhaps the moisture would cause it to comically slip and buy you just a bit more time and maybe a chuckle or two.
It was odd though, aside from the now jagged whirring of the jittering machine in front of you- there was nothing else. No crazed man trying to jump you or sick another random machine of his on you for whatever cause. It was in fact quiet, and that quiet put you on edge. Your brain knew you needed to stay on guard, but the silence was starting to lull your body into a false sense of security you couldn’t trust.
Still, your mind that had been in fight mode for what should have been days now, had no chance against your weary body. Your grip on your polearm slips and the weapon clatters to the ground just before your knees did and your body slumped rather pathetically afterwards.
‘If you fall unconscious, you’ll die’,  you mentally scold yourself. Trying to bully yourself into getting back up, keeping your eyes open, keeping your guard up. Still, your mind was beginning to feel as weak as your body. Thoughts swirled together into a mess of intangible words stuck in your mind and your sight was no better.  Perhaps it was your delirium and exhaustion, but your body suddenly grew cold and you vaguely felt goosebumps raise on your skin like winter itself had bloomed in these ruins with you. Among the changes you felt externally, you swore you heard a muffled voice too.
Perhaps it was the mad man, the one who got you suckered into this stupid job. If it was, he could make quick work of you now since the last of your fight had disappeared taking out that Ruin Ruard core. The warmth you felt on your neck and cheek was the final thing you could mentally register before your body succumbed to its burdens.

‘Odd’, was the first thing that crossed your mind when you found yourself staring blankly up at a well maintained ceiling. You were sure that if you woke up again, and not gotten yourself killed or crushed, you’d be waking up to jagged rocks and mossy walls. So, the well furnished room you now occupied threw you for a loop- which your pounding head didn’t exactly take well.
The room you were in was familiar, and you were sure you’ve been here before, but your foggy mind couldn’t process where you were.  The bed you were tucked into was soft and comforting, and with a wince the mattress gave when you push yourself to sit up. You were alone in the room and without much thought, you shuffle your legs out from under the blankets thrown over you to place your feet onto the floor and wobble up to your legs with the help of the bedside table acting as a- albeit less than desirable- crutch.
The door creaking open was almost mistaken by you for the sound of your sore joints straightening out, as humorous as that was to you since you let a brief, lighthearted laugh escape you in a huff. Then, with your sights on the ground, you noticed a shadow casted by light you don't remember being in the room with you before.
You follow the shadow along the hard floor covered with a single, purple rug until your eyes found a pair of all too familiar boots.  Your aching body starts to feel anxious- a small wave of gooseflesh running across your exposed skin at the idea of Kaeya being in your proximity for the first time in a while. Still, regardless of how you hadn’t been able to squash your silly crush on him or properly prepare yourself for a possible rejection without even confessing- you were no coward.
With both hands tense on the bedside table, you raise your head to look at the blue haired man who had removed the fur, half-cape from his shoulder.  It was strange seeing how empty his shoulder was without the extra fluff the fur provided. Still, it was nice to see him in his entirety again since it had been a while. The blacklight of the space behind him made it difficult to see his expression since the lights in the room you had woken up in had been turned off presumably for your ease of comfort.
“It’s been a while,” was the lamest thing that’s come out of your mouth in a while.
Of course it had been, you were both actively avoiding each other and practically the whole of Mondstadt picked up on it. Looking behind his shoulder you could only barely see corners of art pieces on the walls behind him and another rug that ran down the hall behind his heels.  “Kaeya, am I at your house?” You ask, finally realizing where you recognized your surroundings from.
You’d been in his living room plenty of times visiting, but you had hardly been back in his room unless you were the one tasked with dragging him home from Angels Share and were generous enough to lug his body weight back to his bed. It was a rare occurrence since you were normally one to just dump him on the couch with a blanket and glass of water for his possible next morning hangover.
Kaeya never graced you with an answer before he was marching into the room. His bootsteps seem louder than usual on his hardwood floors of his enclosed room, but maybe that was just the headache. His hands shoot out to grab your shoulders and turn you towards him, your hands that had been on the wooden night table were effectively removed from its surface and now Kaeya’s grip was the only crutch you had for balance before your brain could full calibrate standing without swaying again.
“What on Teyvat were you thinking?!” He raised his voice and even in the dimly lit room with only light from the hall flooding in, you could easily see his expressions now. His brow was turned in a frown and his eye clouded with something you couldn’t pinpoint. It was a far cry from his normally suave and dismissive behavior. “Taking an obviously suspicious commission in ruins that hadn’t been officially investigated by the Knights? Seriously, you thought that was smart?!”
His temper only made your headache worse and in turn soured your already not-so-great mood.  Reaching up to grab his arms like a hook for support, you verbally push back.
“I think I'm capable of handling things myself, you know? The Guild doesn’t need the Knights’ to babysit them for every little thing, and as a member of the Guild that applies to me too!”
“Oh yes, so capable you spontaneously disappear for days? Does that sound capable to you?”
“It does actually because I was handling things just fine by myself, not that it makes a difference to you.”
“You collapsed next to a Ruin Guard, y/n! What would you have done if it had restarted or if something else would have happened? Magically wake up and jump into battle again, because I have my doubts about that!”
“What is your problem, Kayea?!”
“You! You are my problem!”
Astonished, you scoff before rolling your eyes.  It had been so long since you hashed it out like this with anyone, let alone Kaeya. It didn’t feel good, it made you feel sick to your stomach. Not hearing any retaliations from you, Kaeya guides you by the shoulders back against the edge of the mattress and pushes you to sit down again. You didn’t let yourself release the sigh of relief that you felt now that the weight of your own limbs was lifted- you wouldn’t give the Captain that satisfaction.
You expected him to let go of you, release your shoulders and march out of the room and maybe slam the door for good measure. Or maybe pace around the room before ordering you good enough to argue, so you would be good enough to get out of his hair. Out of the possibilities, the only thing that you predicted right was him releasing your shoulders.
Kaeya's hands left your shoulders before sliding down your arms and dropping to the mattress edge on either side of you. You were stunned when he dropped to his knees in front of you and the pressure of his forehead resting on your knee felt heavier than anything. Caging you with his arms and using his head as an anchor on your legs he had effectively trapped you. You kept your hands tucked into each other by your stomach, making sure your knuckles wouldn’t brush even a strand of his hair and you could feel the thin strap of his eyepatch leaving an intent on your skin.
“Kaeya,” you sighed heavily, his name leaving your lips like a weight.
“I tried,” his muffled voice sounds weak that your gaze softens at the abrupt tone change. “I did. I tried to fix it, but my problem is still you and I can’t do anything about it.”
“I have no idea what you’re-”
“Tell me what to do.” His words that interrupt yours cause you to furrow in confusion.
“What?”
“Tell me what to do,” he repeats with a strained voice. “I have so many things I need to do, choices but I- I don't want to. So, do it for me.”
“I still don’t know what you’re talking about. What does all that even mean?”
“Make me choose you,” he sighs heavily before the hands of his that were placed on the mattress beside you move to lightly grab at your shirt like he was scared to touch you further. As if you’d push him away, scorn him for his actions and inactions alike. “Because I will. I just- I need someone- you, you need to-” His sentences never finish as his breaths become uneven. The hands that grip your shirt tighten to ball the fabric in his fists now. “I’m sorry.”
Never had you seen Kaeya, the ever debonair Calvary Captain who kept all his secrets stored into his chest, kneel and subsequently crumble like this to anyone- much less to you. Perhaps in the past he never talks about, Diluc had seen him so weak, but that would be where the witness list ends. You lift your hands from your lap and hover them over his hunched body that clung to you like a child; you were unsure if touching him would set him off or if he would recoil from you. Your silence only made his hands that ensnared your shirt tug on the fabric like an anchor keeping a ship from sailing away.
One of your hands reach to his head and your fingertips breach the blue tresses of his hair. His shoulders tensed and you almost snatched your hand away.
“Don’t,” he mumbled into your leg. You weren’t sure if he was saying not to touch him or not to pull away. So, you kept your hand half in his hair and unmoving.
You yelp when the tugging on your shirt flew into a harsh yank. The back of your knees that had previously been resting snug against the edge of the mattress were now well away with the back of your thighs replacing their spot. Closer to sliding right off the bed than comfortably sitting on it, Kaeya’s arms moved to wind around your waist and his face found a new home in your stomach as your arms hovered in the arm like a puppet's dangling from unused strings.
You could feel the weight of his words fall onto your legs by way of the tears leaving his eyes. You could feel it in the way his shoulders shake and the uneven breaths that warms your lap through his mouth.
“Kaeya,” you softly start, “what has gotten into you? I've never seen you act like this before.” You slowly lower your arms and place your palms on his shoulders gently so as to not startle him; you weren’t going to keep them in the air forever, they’re sore.
“I’m from Khaenri’ah, you know?” His voice strains as he lets out a pathetic laugh that’s damp with a web forming in his throat. He feels your hands on his shoulders twitch and his grip around you tightens so you have no chance of running from him.
“Kaeya, what-”
“My father abandoned me here with the intention of using me as a spy. I’ve only ever told Diluc, but when I did a lot happened and he left, abandoning me too. I don’t care about Khaenri’ah- not anymore- Mondstadt is my home. It’s where my friends are, my brother- even if he will never accept that role again. I can’t leave Mondstadt behind.”
“I’m sure Diluc doesn’t hate you, not like you think. He just- he’s set in his stubborn ways and isn’t good at communicating.” You decide to speak only on his mention of Diluc, since the new information of the land in which he supposedly hails was still processing in your mind.
Your previous comparison of Diluc to a rock briefly comes to mind at the mention of his stubbornnes. You nearly laugh at the thought, but now is definitely not the time.
“Please, please, make me choose you. Tell me to, order it of me, I don’t care. Just- don’t make me live without my artist. I can’t risk that again; I can’t take being abandoned again.”
“Artist? Kaeya, what are you talking about?” You felt like you didn’t understand the words coming out of his mouth.
There was a bout of silence after your question and the air felt heavy. You know Kaeya heard you, but he was reluctant to answer. Odd, considering the word vomit he had already coughed up in the last several minutes since he came into the room. Your hands start to move and lightly rub his shoulders over onto his neck, silently trying to coax him into talking more.
“I heard what you said to the Traveler.” You almost roll your eyes because that could be literally anything. Does he know how often you get the chance to actually run into them and Paimon? He is just trying to dodge the question and by habit you lightly swat at his head. A silent, ‘okay smartass’ to keep him going in the right direction. He almost scoffs into your lap for that one. “You called me a mosaic.” Oh. “You told the Traveler that ‘Mondstadt’ is my artist; they said the ‘People of Mondstadt’, but only I know who my artist truly is.” His arms around you twitch and you could almost feel a stitch of pain in your side from how long he's been effectively squeezing you. “My artist is you. It’s just you.”
The room is engulfed in a silence that feels heavy, yet... somehow also relieving. So much time recently had been the both of you dancing around the issues neither of you wanted to confront and all it took was you getting yourself into potentially mortal danger for days on end for the truth to come out. Kaeya knew you were someone important, but he didn’t realize just how heavy your permanent absence would be to him. Just the thought of possibly finding you in those ruins dead made his throat burn and ache like swallowing a ball of thorns.
“Kaeya.”
“I’m not lying,” his voice was strained, filled with fear of being labeled someone worthy of nothing.
“I wasn’t going to say you are,” the hand that had previously tapped his head now rested on his nest of blue hair. The gentle strokes of your palm against his scalp were soothing as he felt your breath move your stomach against his head. “I don't see why you would lie to me right now.”  There was no doubt in your mind that everything that came out of his mouth was the unadulterated truth. You’ve never seen the suave captain bleed such vulnerability before.
You didn’t say anything else to him after that. You move your hands to his arms, unwinding yourself from them before pulling him pathetically up onto his own bed. Not even bothering to fix your position, you fall back onto the mattress with your feet hanging off the edge and he easily follows you. From the lighting provided from the hall, you notice his eyepatch string had loosened from all his face hiding and you take it upon yourself to tighten it- securing it back where it belongs. Your fingertips linger around its material for but a moment before sliding down to his cheek.
His eye is brimmed with tears that had stained his skin with tracks and swelling. He also wouldn’t make eye contact with you, and you roll your eyes endearingly at his childish whims. With you both laying sideways on the bed, feet and legs hanging and not even a blanket to cover up with, your thumb run over his skin. Kaeya is quick to reach for and latch his grip delicately onto your wrist to keep it there.
“‘M sorry,” he mutters again, sounding much more shy than he did before now that his face was in view of your gaze. You smile at him, knowing there was a long and meaningful talk in the near future.
“I know. Go to sleep.”
“But I-”
“Artists' orders,'' you chortle. He just scoffs and offers his own eye roll, but his cheek warms under your palm. His eye closes and he let out a deep breath before taking one back in and repeating.
“Stay until I open my eyes again.”
“I will.”
And you did.
