Bradley’s POV

On our way to the store, Leia and I picked up Hangman. Leia insisted that he was a dog expert and had to come with us. We pulled up to the barracks and he was standing out front waiting for us.

He opened the car door with a smile and pulled the seat forward to greet Leia. She screamed with excitement. “Hangy! Look what daddy got me!” She practically shoved the puppy in his face.

His eyes went wide and he looked at me with a smile, “You actually got it for her, Rooster?” He grabbed the dog from Leia and gave it kisses. “That is a first. you never just do something. You always take a million years to pull a trigger.” He laughed as he rubbed noses with the puppy.

“Shut up and get in bitch, we’re going shopping.” I pulled my aviators down and looked at him.

“So hostile today.” He gave the puppy back to Leia and gave her a kiss on her head before he pushed the chair back in place. “I love it.” He climbed into the front seat and fist bumped me, “So what are we going to get?”

“We are going to be getting some stuff for the pup. Leia insisted you came because you are an expert with dogs.” I rolled my eyes behind my aviators.

He chuckled and put his aviators on before turning to Leia, “So Vapor, does the puppy have a name yet?” 

“Yea, his name is Jake!” She started to laugh.

He looked at me with that cocky ass grin. “He couldn’t have had a more perfect name!” He reached back and high-fived Leia.

I shook my head, “She’s joking. She told me that last night to prank me.”

“No his name is Jake, daddy!”

“Hey if it isn’t his name, it should be! It’s a great name! He will be the coolest pup ever.” Jake slapped my shoulder and smiled.

I sighed, “Hangman, the only thing that pup will be is bullied at the dog park for having a name like Jake.” I started to laugh.

“Gosh, really hostile today, Rooster.” He shook his head and put his seatbelt on. 

We arrived at the pet store. I brought over a cart and Hangman placed Leia and the puppy in it. I pushed the cart into the store. We browsed around as Leia picked out what she wanted for her pup.

After roaming around the pet store for an hour and a half, we left with a cart full of toys, treats, food, and more. Hangman insisted that the cart was too heavy for me to push so he volunteered to push it to my car. He loaded Leia into the car with the puppy as I loaded all the goodies into my trunk. We headed back to my house.

Leia brought the puppy out to the backyard to play while Hangman and I started to get things ready inside. We started putting all the toys away into a play crate.

“Hey man, so I actually wanted to ask you something.”

Hangman nodded, “Yea, sure, Rooster. What’s up?”

I ripped some tags off of a couple of toys, “So you know how y/n and I are going to get married?”

“I would love to.” Hangman laughed.

“Wait what? Do you even know what I was going to ask?” I looked at him confused.

He nodded his head, “Yea, to watch Vapor while you make baby Bradshaw #2?”

I laughed loudly and shook my head, “Hey man, we just got a dog. Baby Bradshaw #2 isn’t anywhere near in the upcoming future.” I threw toys into the crate. “I was actually going to ask, if you would uhm.” I gulped and looked up at him, “Be my best man?”

He looked up with furrowed brows and slowly dropped a toy into the crate. He blinked at me a couple of times and cocked his head, “Your best man?” He raised his eye brows in shock and he inhaled sharply, “Me, Rooster? Your best… man?” He pointed at himself.

I smirked at him, “Yea, Seresin. Will you be my best man?” I opened my eyes wide at him while raising my brows. 

He sat on the floor and opened his eyes wide in shock, “Are you pranking me?”

I shook my head and chuckled. “I’m fucking serious.”

He huffed out a breath, “What about Maverick?”

I looked down and smiled, “I think y/n, might have other plans for Mav. So what do you say?”

Hangman smiled big, “I want you to ask me like you’re asking me to prom or homecoming.” He crossed his arms and raised his brows.

“What?” I cocked my head at him and squinted my eyes.

He laughed and leaned forward to pat my shoulder, “I’m kidding.” He stood up and was lost for words. He started to nod his head.

I stood up and bro hugged him. I patted him on the back. “Is that a yes?” I pulled away from him and put my arms out with curiosity.

He chuckled and nodded, “Yea man, I am honored. I would love to be your best man, Bradshaw.” He huffed out another breath and shook his head at me.

I patted his back, “I wouldn’t be here with my girls if it wasn’t for you, man. I have to thank you for the rest of my life for that. I am here because of you.” I pressed my lips into a line trying to hold my tears back.

Hangman’s head dropped and he wiped tears from his eyes. He looked up at me and took a deep breath, “Now I would have done that for anyone.” He laughed and nodded. He pulled me in for a hug, “Of course, Rooster. I know you would have done the same for me.” 

I patted him on the back and pulled away, “Stop crying, Seresin.” I slapped his chest, “Be a man.” I smiled at him. “Thank you.” 

He shook his head at me, “No, Rooster. Thank you.” He sniffled one last time and wiped his rolling tear. “All right, where’s the little Vapor girl and this puppy?” He clapped his hands and headed for the sliding door.

I laughed and went to place the play crate by the TV. I went into the kitchen and set up the puppy’s food and water bowl. I laughed at Leia’s choice of bowls. The one she chose for his food read, “Paws off my grub!” And the water bowl read, “Tears of my owners.” I shook my head before placing them on the floor and filling them. 

I joined Leia and Hangman outside with the evergreen dog harness Leia chose for the pup. I came out onto the deck and watched as Hangman hopped around with the puppy as it chased him and Leia. Leia saw me and I held up the harness. “Ready to learn how to put a harness on him, babe?” She ran over.

I gave her the harness and she held it up to Hangman, “UNCLE JAKEYYY! Can you help me put the harness on?” She skipped over to Hangman.

I laughed and shook my head. I sat at the end of the deck and watched as he helped Leia put the harness on the puppy. He knelt down holding the puppy and Leia knelt next to him.

“Okay, Little V. First unbuckle the buckle.” He pointed to the black buckle and she unclasped it.  

“Now we hold the puppy’s arms gently like this and slip his arms through these two spots.” He helped guide the puppy’s arms into the slots. 

“And now his head.” Leia slipped the puppy’s head into the top hole. “Now buckle him up, honey.” She buckled the buckle and clapped. Hangman gave her a high-five. “Good job, honey! That was great!”

She grabbed the puppy from Hangman and placed it back on the floor so she could chase it around. Jake came over and sat with me at the deck. 

I patted his back, “Thanks, man. I knew she would have wanted you to teach her.” I shook my head and watched Leia run around.

“What can I say, Rooster? I am her favorite.” He gave me a smug look and raised his brows.

“I don’t know how Sarah ( @sarahsmi13s 💕) does it man. You are so full of yourself.” I laughed and shoved his shoulder.

“Hey, I am a catch. She loves me.” He placed his hand on his chest and cocked his head. “Just like how y/n loves your sassy ass.”

I opened my mouth slightly and pushed my tongue to my cheek. I took a deep breath. 

“Got you there, didn’t I bird boy?” Hangman laughed and patted my back. “So any ideas who is going to be my partner for the wedding? Who had y/n/n asked to be her maid of honor?”

“I already know whom she is going to ask, She just hasn’t done it yet.” I smiled at Hangman. “She’s hella cool though, don’t worry bud.” I slapped his chest. “But she does have a very VERY direct boyfriend. He has no filter, whatsoever.” 

Hangman laughed, “Sounds like my kind of guy.”

I shook my head, “No, man. He is worse than you. But he’s got all the right intentions.” 

“Okay, that’s a lot.” He laughed. 

Later on that afternoon, we all sat down and put together some lunch. I called you as Hangman and I made homemade uncrustables with Leia. 

“Hey, baby. How’s the meeting going?” 

“Hi, Bradley. I am so tired! There is so much planning going on today.” 

Hangman popped into the screen. “Hey, sweetheart!” He put his hand up and smiled.

“Oh hey, Hangman!” You smiled big and waved.

“Hey, girly! You are looking at your future husband’s best man!” He pointed at himself and smiled big.

“Oh my goodness, wait really!?” You covered your mouth and looked at me with wide eyes.

“That’s right, girl!” He started to do a little dance with his sandwich in his hand. “I wanted to be asked more formally, but you know. You get what you get.

I looked over at him with frown. “Really, man?”

You laughed, “How did you picture getting asked, Hangman?”

He leaned onto the counter and took a bite of his sandwich. He pointed it at you and smiled, “I am glad you asked, sweetheart.” He took another bite of his sandwich. “I pictured that he could write it out in the sky for me, got down on his knee with some beer, and asked me in front of everyone on base.”

“How the hell could I have written it in the sky and then got down on a knee to give you a beer?”

“Make it work. Show me some love, Rooster.” Hangman laughed as he took another bite of his sandwich. I shoved him. “Don’t get mad, Roo. I know you love me.”

“I think I might have to ask someone else to be my best man.” I laughed.

“No one is better than me. You know I’m the fun one.” He winked at me.

I brought my attention back to you. “I’m sorry, baby. We are wasting your lunch time. I will show you what Leia got for the puppy.” I showed you the bowls, all the toys, the dinner and water bowl, and his harness.

“Leia picked such great stuff!” You smiled and looked at your watch. “I have to get going, Brad. I have to go pick up my lunch still. I just wanted to call to check in. I will see you tonight. I love you.”

I got sad and nodded. “I’ll see you later, baby. I love you too.”

Hangman barged in holding Leia, “Bye momma! We love you too!” They waved at you.

I laughed and we all waved goodbye. 

“I love you.” Hangman mocked me. 

I shoved him and picked up my sandwich, “I hate you.”

Your POV

After a long night at work, you decided to meet up with Bri. You suggested you two meet at The Cordova bar. When you got there it wasn’t very busy. There was only about 10 people in there. It had just opened. You and Bri grabbed some key lime pie martinis and sat at a couch in the corner.

You sat facing one another and sipped your drinks.

“God, I needed this after these past couple of weeks.” I took another sip of my drink.

“Oh, girl I bet. It’s been a super eventful couple of weeks for you and it’s just going to get busier, sis.” She sipped her drink, “I’m really happy you asked me to come out. I wanted to let you know Billy’s little sister Alex ( @bradshawsbitch 💕) is here AND Amanda ( @callmemana 💕).” She winked at you.

You sat up, “Alex and Amanda are here?” Bri nodded at you, “I haven’t seen Alex since you and billy started dating. I remember when he brought her to the house. She was only like 14.”

“Yea well, she’s almost 22 now. She’s actually coming down here to stay with her man in the navy.” She winked at you. 

“Oh no. Her too!” You started to laugh. “How about Amanda? She was around the same age as Alex the last time I saw her. How is she?”

Bri laughed, “She’s good. She just finished school. Mom and dad say she’s still at home with them, but she was thinking of coming to stay here with me at one point.” She took another sip of her drink. “But I just wanted to let you know they’ll be here for a couple of months. They’ll be staying with us at the house.” She set her drink down, “Not that you mind, you stay at Daddy rooster’s house.” She wiggled her eye brows at you. 

You laughed and slapped her arm. You nodded and continued to laugh, “You know Bradley beat me to being the first to asking his best man to be his best man.” You raised your brows.

She put her drink on the back of the couch and looked at you with wide eyes, “You. Are. Joking!” 

You shook your head, “I am not.” You bit your lip and raised your brows. 

“Are you going to ask Penny?” She smiled curiously and sipped her drink.

You bit your lip and gave her a devious look. She looked at you concerned, “Bitch. What?”

You sipped your drink and put it down on the table in front of you. You pulled a box from your bag. You handed it to her and smiled. “Surprise!”

She looked at you funny and put her drink on the table next to yours. She grabbed the box and held it on her lap, “Is it our friend-averisay already? You shouldn’t have, babe!” She winked at you and lightly shook the box. You looked at her with wide eyes.

She untied the Navy blue velvet bow on the white box and removed the lid from the box. Her eyes went wide and she started to tear up. 

“Oh my gosh! Y/n ! Really??” She wiped the tears rolling from her eyes. She looked up at you, “Are you serious right now?” She put her hand over her mouth.

You started to cry too. You nodded and put your arms out to her. She leaned into your embrace crying. You rubbed her back and held her head close to yours.

“Yes! A million times yes! Oh my gosh.” She pulled back and wiped her tears again. “This is so crazy!” She picked up her drink and downed the rest of it. “She put the empty glass on the table and started to rummage through the box. 

The inner lid of the box read, “Will you be my maid of honor?” Inside there was blue shredded filler paper to fill the box. On top of that filler paper, there was a white rose, a white wine glass with Bri written across with navy blue lettering, a navy blue scrunchy that had a little tag that said, “To have and to hold that hair back”, some cute diamond stud earrings, and a cute crystal paperweight that had a big navy blue B on the top of it. 

She looked at you and laughed with tears rolling down her face, “So does that mean I am stuck with Hangman for the wedding season?” She sniffled and laughed.

“I am so sorry girl, yes.” You laughed back and wiped her tears.

She shook her head, “I love you, y/n. Thank you so much.”

You pulled her in for another hug. “I love you too, Bri.” 

After sobering up from your two drinks, you finally headed home. When you arrived home you were greeted by Bradley and Hangman. 

“Hello, I am home!” You came through the front door and closed it behind you. You took off your boots. Bradley came running over and slammed into you hard. He peppered kisses all over your face. 

“My baby! I missed you.” He gave you one last big kiss on your lips. 

Hangman came around the corner with popcorn in his hand, “Would you both be quiet? Vapor and the puppy just fell asleep. GOSH! Some people have school tomorrow! No manners.” He shook his head and laughed.

You looked at him with narrowed eyes and put your arms out. He looked down and look up at you with a scrunched devious smile. He ran over daintily with his arms open and gave you a big hug.

“How is Bradley’s best man? What have you guys been up to?”

“Best man ever is great. We’ve just been hanging out. Being guys.”

You looked at him confused, “Being guys?”

He threw some popcorn at you, “You wouldn’t understand, sweetheart. It’s confidential.” He smirked at you and walked away.

You scoffed and laughed. Bradley picked up the popcorn and ate it. He threw his arm around you and walked over to the kitchen with Hangman. 

“So Jake. I have good news for you.” You skipped over to his bowl of popcorn and stole some.

He threw more popcorn in his mouth and chewed it aggressively, “You’ve decided to leave Rooster and let me marry him instead?” He grabbed your hand, “You shouldn’t have, honey.” 

You frowned and made your mouth into an o. You threw popcorn at him and he laughed. He put his hands up to defend himself, “YOU’RE WASTING MY POPCORN, Y/N! STOP!” He put all the loose popcorn back into the bowl, “What is your good news?”

“You officially have a partner for the wedding.” You smiled slyly. 

He slapped his hands hard on the counter and then balled his fist. He brought his hands up to his face and yanked them back down, “YES! THAT’S MY FUCKING GIRL! CONGRATULATIONS, SWEETHEART!” He pulled you in hard and hugged you tightly. “Who did you ask?”

“I asked my best friend, Bri tonight. She said yes!” You squealed and Hangman matched your energy. 

Bradley gave you a big hug, “congratulations, baby! I knew she would say yes!” He gave you a kiss. “How did you ask her?”

“Well, I made her a box. It was white with a Navy blue velvet bow. Inside of the lid, it said ‘will you be my maid of honor?’ And then I put a bunch of goodies in it.” 

Bradley looked from the side of his eye at Hangman. He already had his hands on his hips with an annoyed look on his face. “Where is mine, Bradley Nicolas Bradshaw?” 

Bradley looked at you and back at Hangman. He rolled his eyes, “Oh my gosh.”

This guy is really just so in love lmao 🤣 like Haechan is down bad for y/n, he has all the feelings for her from the soft sweet fluffy kind to the deep dark and sexual kind.

I think that moment when he realizes that he just wanted their date to be a romantic thing and it didn’t have to be sexual was a big moment for him. Haechan pretty much always thinks about people in a sexual way (he’s probably a sex addict in this story tbh) but when it comes to her he finally has real genuinely romantic feelings too.
