Page 2. ---- Thomas Brown Jailed Three Months for Stealing Pension Cheque ---- "MEAN THING TO DO" ---- "A" Police Court, City Hall; Magistrate Browne. "You know that this woman's husband was killed at Dieppe, and that the money you stole was a government pension cheque from Ottawa," said Magistrate Browne to Thomas Brown, up for sentence on charge of stealing $75 from Mrs. E. Griffin.

"It was a mean thing to do," added his worship imposing a term of three months. Evidence given at a previous hearing showed that the accused knew the complainant. having met her in a restaurant where she was employed. The court was told that she took him to her home to clean some floors. She said that the money was in her purse and the accused took it.

Accused admitted buying a wrist watch with part of the money. He had $37 when arrested.

"For a young man. you have a very bad record." remarked Magistrate Browne to Peter Leclair, a soldier, convicted of assaulting P.C. Tom Duffy and also stealing a pound of tea. He was sentenced to four months on each count, to run concurrently.

Miss A Mitchell, a waitress in a Queen S. W. restaurant, said she saw accused taking the tea and leave. "I told a waiter and he went looking for him." she said,

A. Evans stated that he missed accused awhile and then saw him, some distance from the restaurant.

P.C. Duffy told of seeing the accused being chased. "I caught him," said witness. "He tried to kick me in the stomach and failed. He kicked me in the shine. We tussled and he knocked my helmet off."

Leclair denied taking the tea, but had nothing to say regarding the assault.

For failing to notify the registrar of his change of address, William Kerr, subject for military call. was fined $25 and costs or 30 days. He pleaded guilty,

Pleading guilty of aggravated assault upon Alee Herasimenko, 63, Dmytro Kowbel, 21, was sentenced to 30 days in jail. Through interpreter Markowitz. complainant stated he had been struck by accused in the kitchen of their Draper St. rooming-house after a verbal argument.

"He called me a name and I struck him," admitted accused.

"A most brutal assault," said Crown Counsel Malone.

HIS FINES TOTAL $70 ---- "D" Police Court, at the City Hall. Magistrate Tinker. Convicted of careless driving, operating a car without a proper license and having liquor illegally, Bruno Maisonneuve was ordered to pay a total of $70 in fines and costs or serve one month in jail. On the first charge. he was fined $50 or 20 days. on the| second $10 and costs or 10 days and on the third charge $10 or one month, sentences concurrent.

Constable Art Hudson said he went to Avenue Ad.., near Heath St., to investigate an accident and found accused standing beside his car, which was up on the sidewalk. "He was in no condition to drive," the officer said, adding that he found 22 full pint bottles of beer in the car.

"He had a beginner's permit but was driving without a licensed driver." explained Constable Hudson.

William Metcalf, driver of the other car, said accused, going in the opposite direction, suddenly swerved and crashed into his car.

Pleading guilty of illegal purchase of beer, John Ribich was fined $25 and costs or 30 days. His Royce Ave. home was declared a public place.

Constable Gordon Deyman said he found 29 quart bottles and 12 pint bottles of beer in the home. Ribich said he purchased six quarts at a brewer's warehouse and the rest from a brewer's driver.

"When I came home from work, I saw the brewer's truck in front of my home. The driver told me he did not have an order to deliver beer in my house, but said that due to icy streets he was unable to make all deliveries and said he would sell me three cases of beer, which I bought."

SUMMARY: Y/N and Harry meet while playing 'Spill your guts' with James Corden

WARNINGS: Swearing?

Hey!! I mentioned a few celebrities,I don't even know if ya'll find them attractive,but they were the first ones that came to my mind hahaha.

"Okey,we're back now,Y/N has joined us,lovely as always" James points at me from the other side of the table,the crowd starts to scream and I simply wave.

"Hi" I say too.

"Then we have Harry,the guest for tonight, but you all know him well,this studio is like his second home,I swear to god he's obsessed with me" James jokes about Harry.

"Heyyy" Harry frowns at him. I really never met Harry before,and we didn't even got to talk before the show,everything we said to each other was an awkward 'hi' before the camera started filming on air.

"Anyways" James starts to choke on his laugh. "This is spill your guts or fill your guts with Harry Styles and Y/N Y/L/N!!!!" He yells at the camera while the band does the little music.

After that he starts to say what we have on the table.

"I don't even know how you convinced me to do this" I whisper looking down at the table. James just laughs it off.

"So we have,bull penis, bird saliva, Salmon smoothie, cow tongue, scorpion, we have ant smoothie and we've got cod sperm"

"Mmmm,delicious, chefs kiss" I say doing the chefs kiss. "I'm first for the cod sperm" I joke and James starts to laugh hysterically and Harry just giggles a bit. Sometimes I don't know If James gets possessed or if he fake laughs everything as if he's gonna die.

"I'm sorry to break it to you Y/N,but you'll start first,pick something for me and then ask me the question." James says.

"Oohh,Okay,well..." I rotate the table and stop at what I wanted. "I pick for you the bird saliva"

James starts to laugh "Okey,now you have to ask me a question"

I take a card and start to read it.

"James you have interviewed some of the pop divas. Rate from least to most Britney,Mariah,Cher and Madonna on how annoying they were" I couldn't help but laugh. James did the opposite, he covered his face with his hands.

"Seriously?" He laughs nervously

"Well,is that or the bird saliva,you choose boo" I start giggling, he looks behind him at his team.

"Cheers" He raised his glass and took a sip of the bird saliva. Gross.

"Ew" I let out in disgust trying hard not to gag.

He immediately spits it out in a bucket.

"Oh my God,now I'm scared" I say laughing.

"C'mon it's not that bad" He laughs. "Okay,Harold"

"James" Harry says back.

"I'm gonna give you" James starts to say while spinning the table. "The scorpion"

"Delicious" He answers back looking at it.

"I know,so the question for you is..." He takes the card. "Harry" James starts to laugh unable to continue.

"Tell me" Harry laughs back.

"Harry,you always say how much you love your former band mates and how you loved being in One Direction"

"Right"

"With which ones do you actually still talk with" James hides his face under the card. The audience instantly starts doing sounds of shock.

"I-uhmm..." He starts to laugh cutting himself off. "I mean, it's not that I don't want to talk to them,it's just that" He laughs, taking the scorpion in his hands. "Uff" And suddenly he takes a bite of it. James starts to laugh hysterically and I just start giggling,then,Harry spits the scorpion.

"Now that was a trip" Harry gets out laughing.

"I think you should text some of them" James laughs out.

"I will"

"Okay,Harry,choose something for Y/N,and read her a question".

"Okay" Harry laughs. "I'm gonna give you the cod sperm,because you wanted it so bad"

"Good" I laugh back

"Okay" He says while taking a card. "Y/N,you have dated a lot of actors"

"Well, I wouldn't say a lot,but okay" I laugh,looking at the producers.

"Say from most to least,which ones are more talented, Dylan O'brien,Tom Holland,Evan Peters, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin"

I immediately hide my face with my hands laughing.

"You've acted with all of them,you can tell us" James says.

"I can't,sorry" I say taking a fork about to take the cod sperm. "Oh my God,I'm having flashbacks with this,what do I do,do I spit it,do I swallow it" I say pointing at it while laughing.

The both of them immediately start laughing.

I take a big breath to prepare mentally to eat it.

"So,the first one will be..." I start,but I can't continue, I'll just have to eat the fricking cod sperm. "Why did I agree to this?" I say and quickly put it in my mouth. I chew for a bit but I start gagging so I spit it. James by now was laughing hysterically.

I turn around at the audience. "It's disgusting" I nod at them.

"Well,my turn now,right?" I look at James.

"Yes,yes it is" He laughs.

"I'm gonna give you the...hmmm" I spin the table. "The cow tongue seems right,yeah" I stop at the cow tongue.

"Thank you,yeah, it does seem right" James nods at me.

"So,James" I say taking a card. As I read the question I start to laugh. "You've had a lot of guests in the show,but,which person do you refuse to interview? Even for the amount of money that you get paid" I tap my shoes on the floor laughing.

"What the actual fuck" He says turning around at the producers with surprise on his face. Wow,James just cussed,that really caught him off guard. Harry starts to laugh too,hiding his face with one hand.

"I can't, sorry" He says and quickly takes a bite of the tongue.

"Now,that was quick" I laugh.

"I've even swallowed it" He laughs. "God,phew" He let's out. "Anyways,Harry"

"James" Harry says taking his hand out off his face. "You better be nice with me".

"I'll try,I guess" James laughs. "I'll give you the bull penis".

"Sounds good" Harry laughs.

"Harry styles" James laughs looking at his card. "What do you thought when you first read that Zayn said that you and him supposedly never talked?" The crowd suddenly gasps. I swear that being in my position everything looks overdramatic.

"I mean" He sighs,slaming his hand against his thigh as if he was tired. "You know,if being together everyday for five years, means you never talked,I think he's right" James starts to laugh in shock. I just simply smile,not knowing what this is about.

"I mean,yeah"

"Okay" Harry says shyly putting his head down.

"Well,your turn now" He gets his head up again,laughing and looking at me.

"Yay!" I fake excitement

"I'm gonna give you..." Harry spins the table in front of us. "The salmon smoothie" Why does he seem so exited? This better not be disgusting.

"So, Mrs. Y/N" He takes a card. "Oh God,I think you'll have to drink it" Harry laughs reading the card.

"Jesus Christ,I'm scared now"

"Y/N,your songs are for sure good,but tell me,how many of them are about Post Malone cheating on you?"

I can't even hide my surprise face. "Who said he cheated on me in the first place?"

"I don't know,I just read what the card said" Harry says nervously shaking the card.

"I don't even wanna comment on this" James nods in disagreement,disbelief on his face.

"Help" I let out. I lean in front of me and take a sip of the Salmon smoothie. It tasted bad,but it wasn't disgusting at least.

"Well,I think you just confirmed something" Harry jokes at me.

"Just shut up" I hide my face with my hands.

"Well..." James says quietly, but suddenly raising his voice. "This was spill your gut or fill your guts with Y/N Y/L/N and Harry Styles!!! We'll be back now,stay tuned".

A few seconds later James tells us we're off air and we get up.

Aries (Mars) : They usually have veryy dark hair, dark eyebrows, dark beard etc. Their eyebrows are really prominant and they also might have acne. Their eyes are intense but it’s different from scorpio’s intensity, they have more of a “fiery” intensity.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Blues Brothers’ characters or movies. This refers to Alan Rubin as a character in the movie, not the real Alan (although he obvsly played himself but you know what I mean)

I’d like to add that I made everyone of the band a few years younger (so the age gap between the reader and Alan isn’t that big), so he’s approx. in his early 30s.

Sophia & Lisa are two OCs created by two lovely people within the fandom.

Chapter 1

Charlotte took a look at her watch. Where the hell are they?! They better don’t stand me up. After all I got dressed up for their sake only. “What are you moping around already, eh?”, Sophia yelled from the driver’s seat of the car that had just pulled up in front of Charlotte. “You were supposed to pick me up 10 minutes ago!” “Calm down, how about thanking Lisa for that.”, she gave the girl in the passenger seat a nod. “Couldn’t decide what dress to wear on her third date.” “Right, would you mind setting off before someone sees us?”, Charlotte snarked as she climbed in the back of the Cadillac. “Wasn’t it clear from the outset that you’d pick a black dress?”, she rested her chin on the passenger’s seatback and smiled at Lisa. “Yeah but this one is new. It has this nice v-neckline.”, she said while looking down ate herself, slowly putting her red-brown hair to one side, brushing through it with her fingers. “Black does suit your hair colour well. I’m sure Lou’s gonna love it! … So, how long does their concert last?” “Probably about 90 minutes, plus encore of course.”, Sophia said and watched Charlotte in the rear-vision mirror dropping back into her seat. “Jeeez!” “Now that’s not fair! You’ve listened to them records and said you like ‘em!”, Sophia whined. “I do, I do! I’m just… If my parents find out I’m at some Rhythm & Blues concert they will kill me, slowly and very painfully.” “Relax girl, our little lie will work out just perfect. And besides Jake and Lou have invited us for drinks in that cozy, neighbouring bar afterwards.”

The the girls drove about another 20 minutes until they reached the “Kingston Mines”, an event location for live music on the city’s North Side. After parking the car, they went to the venue’s backdoor. “We’re with the band!”, Sophia told the security guy self-assuring, who looked down at the girls. “You don’t say, huh?.” The girl tried to push the man aside “Jake? .. Jakey? Would you give us a hand here…?” After a moment a man dressed in a black suit, black hat and dark sunglasses showed up. “Babe, what’s the problem? .. Oh yeah, it’s alright, they’re with me.”, he explained and let the girls in. “Hi handsome.” Sophia sniggered and gave her man a kiss. “Aah I’ve missed you hun, you look beautiful tonight!” And he pulled her into a deep kiss while holding her in his strong arms. When they both let off of one another to catch their breath, the dark haired girl carefully tugged at his glasses. “I wanna see your eyes.” “Later honey, when it’s just the two of-“ Charlotte cleared her throat. Both gave her an irritated look and raised one brow. Gosh, they’re so cute together. And Charlotte needed to force herself not to giggle. “I got you girls the best seats of the house.” He gave his girl a soft stroke through her hair. “I will see you later.” When the band got up on stage, taking their positions, Lisa couldn’t help it but waved at Lou excitedly and he gave her a flustered smile. Their show opener was ‘I Can’t Turn You Loose” with Jake and Elwood doing their grand entry. Charlotte had listened to a few of their records but never seen them performing live. Sure, she had met Jake and Lou before, picking up or dropping off her friends but she had never met the entire band. He let her gaze wonder from the left stage til the right, taking a good look at Steve and Murphy. Steve’s a real looker, if his hair wasn’t longer than mine. And Murph’s shirt is so tight around his muscular arms they must have sewed him into that shirt. And then the horn section caught her eye, a certain trumpet player to be precise. He had dark, slightly wavy hair, approximately her size, medium build, sideburns, he was wearing dark sunglasses like everyone else, a black leather vest and Damn those lights are way too gloomy to take a proper look at him. But his sound was brilliant. Clear and straight forward. The horn section was without any doubt the backbone of the band while making sure of that groovy sound.

Next songs coming up were “Hey Bartender” with an incredible solo on the harmonica by Elwood, “Messin With The Kid”, “I Don’t Know” and “Shot Gun Blues”. Especially Sophia liked the last two. And watching Jake perform Charlotte could really see why she did. By now it held no one. Everyone in the crowd was dancing, singing, jumping up and down and vibing along. Right after “Almost” Jake introduced the horn section to the crowd, with Tom Bones Malone on trombone, Blue Lou Marini on sax and Mr. Fabulous Alan Rubin on trumpet. Charlotte’s heart stopped for second when the spotlight panned over to him. He bowed slightly and greeted the audience with a smile. When he was playing he seemed so confident but his smile was humble and full of warmness. Of course her reaction didn’t stay unnoticed by her friends.

The rest of the concert went by real fast, much to the girl’s dislike. And Charlotte couldn’t remember the last time she had such a blasting time. After at least 3 or 4 encores the band disappeared from the stage and Sophia lead the girls to the backstage area. As soon as her eyes saw Lou, Lisa went over to him with big steps. “Hey Lou.”, she greeted him excitedly. His jaw dropped, when he looked up from his instrument case, taking in her appearance fully. His eyes lingered on her décolleté, causing him to swallow. “You look stunning tonight, darling” He grabbed his girl by the hips, pulling her close and gave her soft kiss. Her red lipstick let a stain on his lips, which she quickly swiped off using her thumb. He whispered something into her ear, causing her to giggle, before he left to help up picking up the band’s gear.

“There you are, did you enjoy the concert?”, Elwood asked, approaching the group of girls. “Of course we did! It was amazing, thanks again.”, Lisa and Sophia gave him a hug. “Oh by the way, this is our friend Charlotte.” “Hi, Elwood, nice to meet you.”, she gave him a quick wave. “Likewise, so have you met the rest of the band yet?” “Nope, didn’t got a chance so far.” “But she would love to!”, Sophia interrupted her and gave Lisa a cheeky grin. “She’s very keen on meeting Mr.Fabulous, you know.” Charlotte shot her a dirty look. “Sure, no problem.” Elwood assured. “Hey Alan, come on over, would ya?” It took the horn player a moment to realise who was calling for him but as soon as he did, he quickly walked towards the four. His gaze instantly landed on a young woman, he had never seen her before. She was about his size with curly, shoulder length, blonde hair. That’s all he was able to notice in that moment, his eyes trapped in her beautiful smile. “I’m sure you remember Jake’s and Lou’s girls… and this is their friend-” “Hi, my name’s Charlotte.” “It’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Alan. Is this your first concert?” “Right, it is. These two enthused over you guys so much, I felt the need to experience you at first hand.” “And..?” “Oh it was great… really! I feel almost sorry for myself I didn’t catch any of your previous shows.” “I’m looking forward seeing you on the next concerts then , don’t disappoint me.”, he smiled. Oh that smile again. “Rubin! Stop flirting and give us a hand, would ya?”, Steve shouted. He politely excused himself and she watched him walking over to “The Colonel” and Willie, helping them to get all their equipment together. “I wasn’t flirting.”, he hissed at the guitar player, turning his head to the girls, making sure they wouldn’t be able to hear him. “Tsk, no of course not, You never are.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “C’mon, Rubin, we all know how popular you are with the ladies.” “Speakin of ladies,”, Willie put in his two pennies worth, “You’re still seeing this Lari?” “Don’t think this is any of your business.”, the trumpet replied in an irritated tone.

Charlotte turned to her friends eventually. “Would you stop embarrassing me tonight?” “I think you’re pretty good at doing that by yourself, aren’t you?” Lisa and Sophia laughed. “It was great, REALLY!”, Sophia mimicked Charlotte. “You’re usually so well-spoken and witty.” “Look, I dunno what he’s doing to me. I can’t hear myself think!-“ She suddenly stopped when Jake, Elwood, Matt, Duck and Alan joined the group, still waiting for the other guys to get ready. “Are you girls gonna join us for a nightcap?”, Matt asked curiously. “We sure are.” Lisa declared when Lou hugged her from behind, planting a soft peck on her cheek. Charlotte desperately wanted to give Mr.Fabulous a closer look but she could feel his eyes on her and didn’t want to create any awkward eye contact, so she was happy when they finally started out for that bar.

gotta say i am loving this video game sideblog post malone slander. almost makes the crossover worth i-actually nah it doesn't, but it's still fun to see

i have like one (1) normie friend and like a couple of months before the pandemic hit she got in a relationship with this guy and he ended up being a total scumbag. i only saw him a handful of times but like the VERY FIRST TIME i met him i felt that his vibes were janky. my vibe assessment was confirmed when he started playing music off her speaker - Post Malone immediately followed by Tom Petty. but i couldn't be like "girl! you Got To break up with this guy, his vibes are off and he likes Post Malone and Tom Petty he's probably a sleazeball" EVEN THO I WAS RIGHT IN THE END i would have sounded crazy

You know what Sonic likes? Long drives with his favorite Donut Lord.

You know what Sonic doesn’t like? Well, I’d be spoiling the story if I told you now. Read on, dear Tumblr folk, I hope you enjoy!

On an unrelated note, does anyone remember that one song by Post Malone? The one in the Spiderverse movie? Wonder what that was called…

Ever since almost dying on a road trip to San Francisco, Tom and certain a blue hedgehog took some time every couple of weeks to go take a drive. It was an unofficial tradition, and Maddie understood that it was kind of just a them thing.

Sometimes they picked out a destination and sometimes they didn’t. Honestly it was just fun to hang out with Sonic for a few hours and drive aimlessly. Gave them a chance to talk and let Sonic see a little more of Earth without potentially exposing himself.

It wouldn’t seem like much fun to most people, but most people hadn’t been living in fear and total isolation for years. A crooked road sign could entertain Sonic for five minutes, laughing and speculating what happened and wondering if he should fix it and ‘oh my god did someone paint on that one?’.

So yeah. It was usually pretty great.

Sonic pushed the buttons on the radio absently. “Any destination in mind?”

“Nah,” Tom replied as he batted Sonic’s hand away from the radio controls. “Think we’re just gonna drift for a while and see what we come across.”

“Sounds good. I’m always up for an adventure.” Sonic sat back in his seat. “So long as I can hop out every now and then.”

Tom gave him a warning glance. “Give me a heads up first.”

Sonic waved his hand flippantly. “Yeah yeah, I know. I promise I will not jump out the window without permission.” He started rolling down the window. “But just in case, I’m-”

“Nope,” Tom said. “Roll that back up.”

“I’m not gonna jump out.” He took his hands off the controls. “Halfway down. Deal?”

Tom narrowed his eyes. “Okay, halfway down, but not any further than that.”

“You got it, Donut Lord.” Sonic drummed his fingers the door. “You know, these trips are really cool. Because the world is, like, huge. And we only drive for a few hours, but you could see a lot in a few hours, and there’s still so much more to see later, you know?”

“Yeah, Earth’s a pretty big place,” Tom agreed. “You never really run out of new experiences here.” He took a left at the next intersection.

They usually took a right to heads toward a highway that could take them pretty far in a short amount of time, but Tom decided to take a scenic route. Sonic seemed more restless than usual, so he’d probably need to take a run soon. The highway wasn’t a good place for that.

“I mean, just think: there are whole other continents,” Tom said, “You could explore every inch of this mass of land we’re on and still have six other ones you could explore.”

Sonic tilted his head thoughtfully. “Yeah… I’m not so sure I’d want to explore Antarctica though. It’s cold there.”

“You know the continents?” Tom asked. “No offense, but I kinda figured that you didn’t have an education.”

“I don’t,” said Sonic. “But classrooms have windows, and there was stuff I wanted to know. Like reading? I definitely learned to read by hanging around outside a classroom.”

That’d be kinda creepy if it was coming from anyone other than Sonic. “That makes sense. Probably helps to know the language of the strange planet you’re on. Is our language written differently than yours?”

Sonic shrugged. “I mean, probably, but I never learned to read on my planet either, so I don’t really know what it was like.”

“You couldn’t read?” Tom asked. “Geez, how old were you? Four?”

“Somewhere around there, yeah.” Sonic’s brow furrowed in thought. “Or maybe I was three. Yeah, I think it was three. I was kinda preoccupied with surviving, so my memory’s a little hazy.”

Honestly, Tom wasn’t expecting a yes. “Oh. Um… that’s pretty young to be stranded on an alien planet.”

“I guess. It was better than the alternative though.” He tapped on the window. “Can I uh…?”

Tom slowed down a little. “Sure, go for it.” Sonic rolled down the window and zipped out of the truck. He checked the rearview to make sure Sonic couldn’t be seen from the road. Green Hills might be okay with Sonic, but they agreed they’d be a little more cautious with the rest of the world. For now, anyway.

After maybe thirty seconds, Sonic was back in his seat. “It’s really pretty around these parts. Lots of places to run around.” He went back to messing with the radio. Tom let him. It looked like it was gonna empty fields for a while and the radio was keeping Sonic occupied.

The roads were mostly straight and, aside from the few cars that passed by them earlier, empty. So Tom took the opportunity to gaze around. It seemed vaguely familiar but he didn’t know why. Maybe fields were just like that.

And, as he suspected, there were a lot of them. Some had crops growing. A few with tractors sitting idly in the middle of them. Every so often they’d even come across a pasture of horses.

They’d been driving for a while when Sonic said, “Hey, Donut Lord? You know I can see the horses too, right?”

Tom blinked at him. “Yeah. Why?”

“You keep… doing a thing. Every time we pass a field with some horses in you say something like, ‘Oh, wow, look at the horses’ or ‘Hey there’s horses over there’.”

“Oh. It’s just something people do while they’re driving,” Tom explained. “It’s, like, mandatory to acknowledge horses. And cows.”

“Why?”

“Well, it’s-” His brain short-circuited. “Uh…” Why did people do that?

“It’s… what?” Sonic looked confused. “Is there not a reason?”

Tom, completely baffled, admitted, “You know, I don’t think there is. I don’t know why we do it, we just do.”

“That’s weird,” Sonic told him.

“You’re not wrong.” A hill in the distance caught Tom’s eye. He squinted at it, then he remembered why this stretch of road seemed familiar to him. “Oh… oh, no way.”

“What?” Sonic asked. “Is it another horse?”

Tom grinned. “Nope, but it’s gonna be something cool.” He started to pull off onto the shoulder. “And also pretty.”

“Cool and pretty?” Sonic took off his seatbelt. “Consider me sold.” They hopped out of the truck. “So where is it?”

“Up the hill,” Tom said. “Stay here a sec. I just wanna make sure it’s still there.”

A few years ago, he’d gotten lost in these backroads. He’d climbed the hill to see if he could recognize anything from a higher vantage point. It didn’t work because he was in the middle of nowhere, but what he did find was a field of sunflowers.

He’d meant to come back, maybe show Maddie someday. Then he completely forgot about it. Hopefully it was still there. The odds of an entire field of flowers dying out was pretty slim, but not entirely impossible, and he didn’t want to drag Sonic all the way up there if the flowers were gone. Not that it’d be any trouble for him, he’d be there and back before Tom took two steps.

Luckily, the sunflowers were still there, just as bright and yellow as he remembered them. They were in orderly rows, so it was obviously owned by someone. That meant they couldn’t go in the field, but they could admire it from a distance. Sonic was pretty easy to impress anyway. He probably wouldn’t need to be surrounded by the sunflowers to be amazed.

Tom waved for Sonic to join him and there was a blue streak at the top of the hill before he could even put his hand down.

“Here it is! We can’t go in the field, but we can go get a closer look.” Tom started down the other side of the field. “These are sunflowers. And they’re probably the biggest flowers you’re ever gonna see. Seriously. Some of the flowers are bigger than my head and the stems are… “

He realized Sonic hadn’t run ahead of him yet, which was strange. Looking back to the top of the hill, he could see that Sonic hadn’t so much as moved, his eyes fixed on the field.

Tom chuckled. “What’s the matter? Intimidated by the giant sun plants?” He thought that’d snap Sonic out of whatever trance he was in, but he was still staring blankly. “Sonic?”

Sonic not being excited about seeing some new Earth thing was… kind of concerning. He was usually bouncing off the walls about this kind of stuff. Tom walked back up the hill, thinking maybe he had said something that made Sonic upset, but he had no idea what it could have been.

“You okay?” Tom asked.

“I don’t wanna go down there,” Sonic said.

There was a slight quiver to his voice that made Tom immediately kneel at Sonic’s side. “Hey buddy, it’s okay. We don’t have to go down there if you don’t want to.”

“I don’t.” He took a couple of steps back. “I really really don’t.”

“Sonic,” Tom reached out to put a hand on his shoulder. “Are you oka-”

“Don’t!” Sonic recoiled so hard that he nearly fell backwards. “Don’t touch me, just… s-stay back.”

Tom stood slowly. “Do you wanna go back to the truck?”

Sonic’s gaze darted around. “I need to- I have to go, I-”

“No,” Tom said gently, “You don’t need to run, remember? I’m here to help.”

“Help?” Sonic asked. “I- no? I’m not…” Giving the field another panicked glance, he took a step back. “She wasn’t supposed to… it was my fault…”

Tom moved to block Sonic’s view of the flowers. This wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. Sonic was probably the most upbeat kid Tom had ever met, but there were times when the years he spent alone broke the surface.

He and Maddie weren’t sure what to do the first time it had happened. There wasn’t always a conventional solution. Sometimes all he needed was a hug, other times he was so overwhelmed that just wouldn’t work.

They figured out that it was always best to just ask before doing anything. “Lil Blue, I need you to tell me how to help. Do you want a hug? Need to talk?”

Sonic instantly looked more terrified than he already was. “No.”

“No hug or no talking?” Tom asked.

“Yes. I mean no! I mean…” Sonic shook his head. “I don’t know.”

Tom tried again. “Can you tell me what’s wrong?”

Sonic shook his head. “You’ll h-hate me if I do.”

“No I won’t,” Tom reassured him.

“How do you know that?” Sonic demanded. “Y-you don’t even know what I did.”

“There is nothing you could do that could make me hate you.” Tom held out a hand. “Wanna go back to the truck now? We can head home if you want.”

Sonic looked past Tom for a moment, then nodded. “Okay… yeah, home sounds… nice.” He took Tom’s hand and they made their way back down the hill. There was a car that passed by, but Sonic was safely in his seat by then and Tom was getting ready to start the truck.

They drove in silence for a few minutes while Tom looked for a place to turn around. Tom didn’t ask Sonic to talk about what happened. The last time he and Maddie tried to force him to talk about something, it had resulted in him running. Not exactly what he needed right now.

“I wasn’t supposed to leave home.”

Tom was silent. Sonic rarely opened up about anything. The last time this happened, there was a massive storm that sent him spiraling into a panic attack. It took an hour before he was calm enough to talk, and even then he didn’t really say much.

“Longclaw would go outside with me sometimes. It wasn’t very often, but she only did it so I’d be safe.”

Now Tom was really making sure to keep quiet. Because as rarely as Sonic talked about his past, the thing he talked about the least was Longclaw. Were Tom and Maddie curious about her? Of course they were. Did Sonic flinch every time they mentioned her? Every single time.

“Longclaw, protected me. But I’m… you know, kinda reckless… and really stupid.” Tom wanted to argue that Sonic was most definitely not stupid, but he was still going with silence for now. “So one day, while she was asleep, I uh… I went outside.

“I shouldn’t have, and I knew that…” He grabbed his seatbelt like it was a lifeline. “I was just gonna go out and come right back in, I wasn’t even gone for that long.”

Tom spotted a driveway up ahead and pulled in to turn around.

“I came back. And I thought that… I thought everything was fine.” Sonic went silent for so long that Tom thought that he had stopped talking entirely. “Until they showed up. They chased us, they shot her out of the sky.”

Turning the truck around, Tom started heading for Green Hills. He wished he could text Maddie to prepare her for the emotional kiddo he was about to bring home.

“They were after me. And they never would have found her if I… if I had just.” He took a shaky breath. “She told me to go to Earth. That someone would always want my powers and I could never stop running.”

Well, that explained where the ‘I’m not allowed to have friends’ mindset came from.

“And I went through the portal. Can you believe it? I actually left.” Sonic shook his head. “I saw them, with bows and arrows and nets a-and spears and they were just running towards her and… I couldn’t leave her, so I tried to go back-” His voice broke. “But I wasn’t… fast enough. The portal closed before I could get to her.”

Tom could hear the tears in his voice and it was taking all of his willpower not to reach over and hug Sonic as tightly as he could.

“And you wanna… y-you wanna know what was s-so important?” Sonic managed. “I wanted to bring Longclaw a freaking flower.” He buried his face in his hands. “I-it was a little yellow f-flower, with a… a black center and I th-thought she’d like it.

“I never should’ve left her, Tom.” A choked sob escaped him as he cried, “It’s not fair, it should’ve been me.”

Now, Tom felt like he had earned the right to say that not much could rattle him. He’d befriended an alien, punched a government official, became a wanted criminal, participated in a bar fight, had his truck totaled by robots, fell off a building, helped send a mad scientist flying through a portal to a planet full of mushrooms, and that all happened within the span of two days. Safe to say there wasn’t much that could faze him at this point.

But that last sentence? That got to him. Sonic was thirteen.

Now was probably the time to say something. “Sonic,” Tom said in an even tone, “I don’t want you to say anything like that ever again.” The kid didn’t run, so he took that as a sign that it was safe for him to continue. “I can’t–and I won’t–deny that what happened was bad.

“And I’m not going to tell you that it’s gonna get better, because I don’t know that. I can’t pretend to know how that feels.” Truthfully, Tom couldn’t even begin to imagine it. He didn’t want to. “But I know it feels bad. And it’s going to feel bad, because that’s how feeling works.

“But it is not fair to blame yourself like that,” Tom told him firmly. “You can’t keep beating yourself up for a mistake that happened years ago.”

Sonic scowled. “But I got her killed.”

“Were you holding a spear?” Tom asked. “No? Then you didn’t kill her.”

“I should have done something!” Sonic shouted.

“You were three!” Tom responded with equal volume. Normally he wouldn’t yell, but this needed to be fixed, and it was getting fixed now. “Sonic, you can’t keep blaming yourself for a mistake that any kid would make.

“Everybody breaks a rule every now and then. Especially kids. You were a super-powered toddler who was essentially under house arrest for powers that you didn’t ask for. I can’t blame you for wanting to go outside for a few minutes, and I refuse to let you blame yourself.

“Bad things happen. But you walking outside did not kill Longclaw. Some assholes, who thought it was okay to hunt down a child, killed her. For no good reason.” His tone softened. “But like I said, I know that doesn’t make it suck any less and you’ve got every right to be upset. Just… don’t say something like that again, okay? It makes me worry.”

Sonic hesitated. “I… okay.” He pulled his knees up to his chest and stared out the window.

Tom, worried he’d gone overboard, asked, “You think you’re gonna be alright?”

He shrugged. “I mean, probably? I don’t know, it’s just… no one’s ever worried about me like that before. Not since Longclaw. Sounded like something she’d say though.”

“She sounds pretty smart.”

“Well, she was an Owl. So… yeah. Pretty smart.” Sonic fiddled with the window controls. “But, you know, you’re pretty smart too.” He cleared his throat. “And I uh… I’m sorry for freaking out about the… flowers.”

Tom patted his shoulder. “Don’t apologize. Everybody’s got their moments.”

“They just looked so much like the flowers from my island, except they were way bigger. Which was… scarier somehow. Like they were threatening me.” He glanced at Tom nervously. “Is that dumb?”

“Of course not,” Tom said. “Stuff like this just happens. You don’t get to pick what sets it off, or when.” He smiled. “But you know what we can do?”

Sonic tilted his head. “What?”

“We can go home to Pretzel Lady, then sit on the couch with way too many blankets and watch a movie.”

The kid managed a smile. “It’s not cold outside.”

“Hey,” Tom said, “There’s never a bad time for comfy blankets.”

“Whatever you say, Donut Lord.” The smile faded just as quickly as it appeared. That was fine. Tom didn’t expect his mood to improve immediately.

It was a while before they got back home, and Sonic hadn’t so much as touched the controls on the radio. He parked the truck and opened up the door, pausing for a moment to look over at Sonic.

Still hadn’t moved.

Tom walked over to the other side of the truck and opened the passenger side door. “Wanna lift?”

Sonic blinked, barely registering the question. “Huh?”

“Yeah, okay, c’mere kid.” Tom scooped up Sonic and closed the door. Sonic looked bewildered at first, then he relaxed and let himself be carried inside.

It wasn’t even hard to hold him. He was tiny. Tom wondered how small Sonic might’ve been when he was younger. How little was at age ten? Or five? Or even three, when he had first arrived here?

Maddie was just coming down the stairs when they walked in. “Hey boys! You’re home early.” She noticed Sonic in Tom’s arms. “Everything okay?”

Tom gave her a look that said he’d explain in a minute, then smiled at Sonic. “Why don’t you go pick a movie, huh?”

Sonic nodded and jumped to the floor. Maddie watched him leave with increasing worry. “Is he okay?” She asked once he was safely in the living room. “He didn’t even run.”

He ushered her into the kitchen. “We had a rough ride. Got something else to add to the ‘List of Things that Freak Sonic Out to All Hell’.”

Her expression became serious. “What is it?”

“Sunflowers.” He stopped her before she could say anything. “I’ll explain later, I promise, but the kid’s not having a great time at the moment. So I’m gonna grab some blankets-”

“And I’ll help him pick a movie,” Maddie finished. “Because it’ll take him forever to pick one himself.”

Tom gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. “You’re amazing, you know that?”

She rolled her eyes. “You may have mentioned it before.” Shoving him gently, she added, “Now get us some blankets, it’s movie time.”

He made the usual rounds around the house to gather up blankets. This was probably going to be one of their quieter movie nights, since Sonic was clearly in no mood to be his usual rambunctious self. And he still had no idea how he was going to explain all of this to Maddie later.

But he could cross that bridge when he got there.

Maddie was already putting on a movie when he got back, and Sonic was sitting quietly on the couch. Tom dumped the blankets on him unceremoniously. “So! What are we watching?”

Sonic unburied himself from the pile of blankets. “Something Maddie picked. The Incredibles, I think.”

“Really?” He plopped down on the couch and helped spread out the blankets. “No Keanu?”

“Nope,” Maddie said as she sat down on the other side of Sonic. “He hasn’t seen this one yet. Figured it’d be fun. Plus, I think there’s a character I think he’ll really like.” Dash, of course.

Tom tossed her some blanket. “Sounds good to me.”

Thankfully, Sonic seemed a little less upset as the movie progressed, even laughing about halfway through. But that didn’t stop Tom and Maddie from glancing at him every few minutes or so just to make sure.

He didn’t know when their next drive would be, but he hoped that it didn’t end like this one had. The three of them with a movie? Yes, absolutely. That was about the only good outcome of the trip.

But they’d definitely be avoiding that stretch road from then on.

Tom Holland x Reader Harrison Osterfield x Reader

omg i have so much planned for this i cant wait. i hope you like it, id also love feed back im trying to improve my writing. also let me know if you want tagging when i post a new part.

Chapter 3:

You were angry at yourself for that night, thinking about Tom as you and Harrison slept together. He was a great guy, the following morning he drove you home, getting you a breakfast on the way, gave you his jumper to warm you up, and called you that night to see how you were. He was just so sweet and that's why you felt so bad. It actually turns out you had a lot in common, you loved the same music and the same tv shows which meant you would text for hours on end during the week, and even send each other random memes which would leave you both in fits of giggles.

"So you and Harrison?" Pete questions, walking into the bakery.

"You're late" you didn't look up at him, your cheeks burning thinking back to that night. Pete hadn't worked all week, constantly calling in sick so it's the first time you actually got to catch up.

"I heard about your night with him, apparently all his room mates did. I told you getting laid would be good for you" he says nonchalantly, putting on his apron

"He's nice" you shrug.

"Just nice? I need details how was the sex? Everything you wanted and more?" he was determined to get every detail out of you.

"I mean yes we had sex the night we met its not like anything else would happen between us. He will probably find a new girl in a few weeks" you say kneading the doh, purposely leaving out the fact you have been texting non stop since. "Also, can you check on the cupcakes?"

"You never know, you gotta be a more optimistic baby girl. Or are you still hung up on that Tom guy?"

"God no" you force a laugh, not entirely sure if you were telling the truth. "I just don’t wanna put any pressure on whatever it is between Harrison and I"

"Okay y/n whatever you say" he rolls his eyes playfully.

"That's enough about me. I haven't seen you in nearly a week, what's new with you" he just laughs.

"I went to go see post malone" his eyes immediately light up

"Was he good? I would love to see him live?"

"Sooo fucking good" he drags out, and you quickly prepare your self for hours of him fangirling.

Even Though you enjoyed spending time with Pete, your shift still dragged on.

"2 hours left" you cheer looking at the clock.

"I'm actually gonna leave now, you'll be okay with closing on your own. I have a date" Pete tells you.

"Do i have a choice?" You would be lying if you said you weren't annoyed, but there was no point in telling him what to do because the 1 thing you have learnt from working with him over the last year is that Pete does whatever he wants.

“Have fun!” you shout as he leaves. You rest your hands on your hips and let out a long breath, looking around the bakery at all of the cleaning you still had left to do.

“Hey cutie” a sweet voice echoes through the bakery, you turn to see Harrison leaning on the counter smiling. “I'm taking you to dinner”

“Oh are you now?” you smile

“Yep, how do you feel about nandos?”

“I'd love a nandos. But the shop doesn't close for an hour” you frown. He walks behind the counter and puts an apron on.

“I'll help” he offers.

“No you won't, go sit and wait” you instruct pointing to a chair.

“Let me help”

“My boss would kill me”

“So? What do you need me to do?” you bite your lip thinking.

“I would say stand there and look handsome but I really need the tables wiping and the dish washer needs to be loaded, if you don't mind” you give him a smile and blowing him a kiss.

“Why would i mind? I offered i'll have you know I'm a great cleaner” he says as a matter of factly, “cmon turn the music up and let's have some fun” you both got carried away singing along to the radio, the little bakery full of laughter and giggles. Harrison would pull you by your arm into him so your bodies would be pressed together anytime a slower more romantic song came on

“May i have this dance?” he would whisper, your cheeks turning pink.

“You're gonna spoil your dinner” you tell him taking off your apron, watching the cutie in front of you eat the leftover cupcakes. “You ready?” he nods and you turn off all the lights and lock up. Much like in the bakery, the drive was full of singing and laughter, until his phone rung.

“Hey Tom whats up?” Harrison questions, patting your knee giving it a squeeze. Tom? It couldn't be him.

“When are you home?” Tom questions, he kind of sounded like him, from what you could remember.

“Not sure y/n and I are gonna get food” he looks over at you for a split second before looking back at the road

“Pete's friend at the bakery?”

“Yeah, you know her?” Harrison looked over at you and your heart was racing. You couldn't believe it, it was Tom! Harrison was his friend!

What tom had said to you before was replaying in your head over and over again, was this fate? That's crazy but it's just a coincidence.

“What's on your mind?” Harrison asks, picking at the last of his fries

“Not a lot” you lie. “I'm tired, work was a drag to be honest”

“I didn't realise, you should have said, we didn't have to go get food” Harrison says, you hold his hand over the table, giving it a squeeze.

“I like spending time with you” you admit and he gives you a warm smile. That was the truth, even though you hadn't even known him a full week, you had gotten to know each other alot of these few days and you really did enjoy his company, he was such a kind and warm hearted person, a smile always on his face and not to forget really, really fucking hot.

You throw your bag on the floor as soon as you step into your apartment and kick your shoes off heading to the kitchen to get a drink and look through the post that was delivered today sorting your roommates into a pile. Katie had gone back to the US for summer break, leaving you alone in your tiny apartment which you hated. Your phone pings, a text from Harrison ‘Change of plans, claires party at my place at 9 tomorrow hope I see you there cutie’. You were unsure, it would mean you were seeing Tom tomorrow, right? You didn't understand what it was about him, you felt stupid for liking him so much after only 1 conversation nearly a month ago. It was pathetic, but you agreed to go and you couldn't lie to yourself and say you were going to ONLY see Harrison.
