Something about the winners in previous seasons being determined to help their allies become the winners. Scott in Double Life for Pearl and Pearl in Secret Life for Scar. They never really fought hard in the final battle with the intention to win again, they just wanted to see those close to them succeed.

But not Grian. Grian, who had lost his allies. Who had nothing left to protect. So he made it his goal to win, as if he hadn’t already, and as if it wasn’t an unwritten rule that one could never win twice.

Sure, he was close to Joel enough to ally with him, but he was determined to at least win, at least, that’s how he made it appear to others.

Because Joel was the closest thing he could get to having Mumbo and Skizz back as his teammates, and obviously, they weren’t about to win. So he didn’t target Joel while he was fighting, but instead focused on the others, taking out Pearl and letting Joel take out Ren and Cleo.

Grian had to make himself seem like the selfish winner who was out to gain another victory, to make it entertaining? To make himself feel better? To help Joel feel like he wasn’t making it easy for him?

His approach as a winner to become a 2nd time victor is so,,, to me. He’s desperate and he needs to win, but he knows he won’t, but he still made it to the top 2, and in a way, that was enough for him.

I just love when previous winners are part of the final 2 alive. It feels like they are there to bestow a crown on the next winner, to congratulate them on their victory, or to warn them of the guilt they needed to bear next, the pressure of the memories.

(Not that I intend to minimise the effort that the new winners put in, but to say it was a crazy coincidence to have the previous victors there for just a wing-it-and-have-fun series.)

Batfamily shenanigans: you know things are bad for you (mentally, physically or both) when your teammates are threatening to call your dad/siblings/children to talk some sense into you. Like once their teams find our they have these big families it's basically their only card to play when their resident bird or bat is overworking themselves or going a little off the deep end.

Dick to his team: You called my dad/brother's! You tattled on me to me family!

The titans who just watch Dick go through his paranoid slade is probably still alive arc: You were freaking us out what were we suppose to do?

Roy: in hindsight I know you and Bruce still have issues you're working out, but you were starting to freak me out dude.

Once the secret is out you best believe Batman is being called for both the most mundane things: "i needed help opening this jar." "the tv remote is over there but im so comfy." "whats eight times nine." or the last line of defense against his childrens self destruction

Because the kids might be willing to push their friends away to complete the mission- but the second Bruce shows up and growls "robin." in that tone, yeah ok dad, ill go to bed, oh you brought me some food? im eating that, yeah ive been eating regular meals, of course i have, so sorry to have bothered you, 😭hi dad, yes i need a hug please and thank you, etc etc

I truly am one of god’s strongest soldiers cuz I’m dying at the complete lack of Nikola Jokić x reader fics. Like I know he’s not exactly “conventionally attractive” (which is stupid btw) but really??? NOTHING??? I’m seriously debating maybe just writing some myself but I’m awful at writing reader fics. Anyways, thank GOD for @hvnsinureyes for the two Nikola fics she wrote. I keep going back to them cuz I’m starving for content and they’ve kept me alive as the ONLY two Nikola fics out here. Plus it helps that they’re amazing and well written. I just need more 😔
