oooooo rue and gortash saying how theyre going to tadpole his parents together. planning to make it a little date. the wretched children finally standing up to those who were horrid against them
only for rue to disappear. and now gortash has to do it alone
what started as something they could laugh about has now turned into anger and grief and rage because he has to face them alone. and i think the plan would be completely different.
rotating post-durge-disappearance gortash around in my head right now

Nghhh chewing on finweans and realizing how self-sacraficial is so deeply instilled in that family, and that that particular trait is prevalent in each generation.
Finwe knew he couldnt win against Morgoth, but he could try and protect his grandchildren. He fought regardless.
Fingolfin knew he couldnt twin against Morgoth in 1-on-1. He fought regardless.
Finrod knew he would die on his quest for Beren, and still fought the wolf to save his friend. He did.
Celebrimbor knew he could protect others by dying, protecting the knowledge about the rings. He did.
It stands to reason that Elladan, Elrohir or Arwen, would have come upon a similar fate.

If i had a nickle every time a huntlow shipper started a friendly conversation with me but it quickly devolved into them aggressively sending me the same 3 screenshots or repeating the same 3 ooc headcanons to convince me that the huntlow ship is canon and therefore it must be good and therefore i have to like it, i would have at least 4 nickles.
Which isnt a lot, but the fact that its happened at least 4 times means i am never going to like this ship lmao
