He got out of his uniform with swift movements and not even waiting for his hand to be fully out of the sleeve of his jumper, he was already typing out a text to Eddie.

Only a few moments after he hit the little arrow, his phone buzzed in his hand with Eddie’s reply.

It’s okay. You guys have fun.

Then, after a few seconds, there was another buzz.

Buck snorts, caught off-guard. He looks at Eddie, who—yeah. Buck can be in love and admit that his hair has seen better days. Half-lank and greasy, half-looking like he stuck his finger in an electrical socket. He can’t complain about the stubble, though, dark and inviting in a way that makes Buck want his skin to burn with it. “I’m gross, don’t look at me,” Eddie groans, resting his forehead on the counter. Buck can see him grinning from this angle anyway. “I need a shower.” “You do need a shower,” Buck agrees. “Now?” Eddie peels his face off the counter and blinks at him. “I mean, Chris’ll get in there and everything will be covered in two inches of water and you’ll slip and fall and break more bones and be resigned to sponge baths for the next six weeks,” Buck says, babbling a little when Eddie’s expression doesn’t change. “You offering to give me sponge baths for the next six weeks?” he asks, amused lilt to his mouth. Buck knows he’s turning pink but anything else would be an admission of sorts, so he points the peeler at Eddie and primly says, “I am offering to stand outside while you shower with the door open so if you fall on your ass you’re not bleeding out and wasting LA water in a drought.” Eddie takes another sip of coffee, eyes sparkling. “Good to know that in your order of priorities me bleeding out comes before our city’s water crisis.” “Only because getting blood out of your shitty grouting would be a pain in the ass,” Buck sniffs, dropping his gaze to chop up the kiwi. “Of course,” Eddie agrees, smile lining his voice as he tips the last of the coffee back.

A text I sent my friend as I spiraled (haha jk) over vampolitics regarding vague plotlines about a multi-chapter suckening fic that diverges after episode 4 and explores an au in which Edward's plotline doesn't play out quite like it did and there's other plays for power alongside his own and what if some key events still happened but, like, a little to the left and within the context of this slightly altered version (an au if you will) and what if the twins and Gref went with Arthur to London and found more and what about that guy Uncle Lazarus huh something up with him and what if the twins leaned more into their royal status and did something with it (or tried to in a more concerted effort) and Mary Davis will be there (mirror Mary sorry this is after ep 4) and obviously Vex & Viv and what if there's a touch more domesticity cuz I'm a fool for that and what if Gref realizes he's been manipulated and they have to confront this and it's messy and awful and necessary and there's layers guys layers and what if I just speculate and make up lore for the stuff that will probably be answered in season 2 anyway hm and what if and what if—

Day 15

“Tatsumi-senpai, have you ever kissed anyone?” Kaname asked, sitting across from the other boy in the catacombs. Everyone else had left for the night leaving the two of them alone. 

“Why are you asking?” Tatsumi replied, confused as he moved one of his chess pieces on the board. Kaname didn’t know anything about how the game worked and was mostly just guessing at where the pieces moved. 

“A-ah it’s nothing, I was just wondering…I haven’t kissed anyone.” Kaname could feel his face heating up. God this was embarrassing, why was he doing this? 

“I haven’t kissed anyone either.” Their game of chess forgotten for the moment. Kaname’s face burned even hotter. 

“Would you--would you like to try kissing?” He barely squeaked out. How was the great Kaname Tojou such a loser when it came to his crush? He should be confident and yet here he was. 

“Can you repeat that, Kaname-san?” He loved the way his name sounded in Tatsumi’s voice. It made him want to die in the moment though. 

“Can I--Can we try…kissing?” His voice was still soft but evidently loud enough for Tatsumi to hear if the slight blush on his face was evidence of anything. Tatsumi gently moved their chess board to the side and slid closer to Kaname. Kaname felt his heart rate pick up at the proximity as Tatsumi leaned in closer. 

How was he supposed to kiss? He tried to remember the movies and how they did it, closing his eyes and letting Tatsumi guide him, his lips slightly parted. The moment Tatsumi’s lips touched his he thought he would fly, and evidently his mouth moved before he could think, as Tatsumi let out a yelp and brought a hand to his lips. 

Kaname bit him. Oh how embarrassing! It wasn’t enough to draw blood but still! 

“I’m so sorry Tatsumi-senpai! I didn’t mean to do that! Oh god--” 

Tatsumi laughed. Kaname stopped in his tracks as Tatsumi continued laughing. He wasn’t laughing at Kaname, though, or at least not at Kaname as a person, but rather at his reaction to the whole thing. 

“It’s okay, Kaname-san. We can try again if you’d like.” 

“Y-yes I’d like that very much.” 

They leaned in again and Kaname clenched his jaw to keep himself from biting Tatsumi again, but he got a little overeager again and felt their heads bump into each other and not where their lips were (which was where he was aiming for). Kaname curses under his breath but Tatsumi giggles again (a heavenly sound to Kaname’s ears) and cups his face before gently guiding him to Tatsumi’s lips. 

Kaname was too in shock to do anything for a moment. He was kissing someone. And not just someone. He was kissing Tatsumi Kazehaya, heartthrob of Reimei Academy. He closed his eyes and relaxed, reaching to grab Tatsumi’s blazer and pull him closer. He felt their teeth clack together but it wasn’t as bad as their first attempt and for Kaname, that was enough. 

They pulled away, panting heavily, and Kaname noticed that Tatsumi’s pupils had dilated. He wanted to pull Tatsumi in for another kiss but held himself back, at least for a moment. 

“That wasn’t so bad,” Tatsumi spoke, breathless and full of affection. 

“No, it wasn’t.” Kaname pulled Tatsumi back in for another kiss, narrowly avoiding bumping their heads together again. He could do this forever, just him and Tatsumi in the catacombs, kissing to their hearts content.

hi my loves :) just a little update for you all

first off, apologies to those of you who have sent in asks that i’ve yet to answer!! i’m about to explain why so pls bear with :’)

so exam season is coming up wayyy too fast, and i’ve been finding writing kinda hard so that’s been going pretty slow (which is v frustrating) but man these deadlines coming up are … a lot. and with an already stressed out heartpascal you can imagine how that’s going 😭 plus my lovely hamster is getting sick and everything just appears to be going wrong!!!

BASICALLY. what i’m trying to say is i’m super sorry but asks are going to be put on the back burner for a little while :( i’ll answer when i can ofc (bc you guys make my days sm better) but it’s all just. a LOT.

i’ll still put out fics when i can, but they’ll probably be quite slow :(

i love you all very much & don’t worry, i’m doing my best to take care of myself (before any of you say anything hehe) but sorta slowing down on here is a part of that!!!

hopefully after exam season is over everything will ease up and it’ll be back to normal on here!!! but i won’t be leaving you guys with nothing so don’t worry <33
