For the oc ship ask game !! What abouuuuuut Dove and Staci? And maybe Dove and Anya bc I wanna hear your thoughts on them too 👀
Thanks for sending some in! :D
This is mostly based on the hints from canon and headcanons about Staci being pretty arrogant pre-Reaping, but Dove doesn’t really like Staci jsahdfjk, so I don’t think it would work out too well haha. Pre-Reaping Dove is very much just trying to do her own thing and being bothered or hazed constantly would annoy her. Now, during the events of the game I’m sure Dove would feel differently about him since he’s been through a lot. I still don’t know that she would be romantically compatible with him but she’d feel a lot more sympathy towards him. If anything he might be more akin to a younger sibling that she would want to help out.
Dove and Anya are adorable and I think they have great chemistry together. I can totally see them in their cute little countryside homes with a bunch of plants and cats. Dove would absolutely love having a tall, mildly intimidating gf to go into town with haha, She’d definitely have heart eyes all the time when they’re spending time together. I feel like the cuddles would be amazing too. Dove just tangling herself up in Anya’s arms 🥺🥺 And Dove may be a bit shorter than Anya but it won’t stop Dove from being equally as affectionate and protective of her. I definitely think they’d be the kind of couple who’d protect each other and tell off anyone who was being rude to the other. I also think the longer they were together, the stronger their bond would grow. I think they’d have a deeper understanding of each other than they would have with other people. They could just be sitting in peaceful silence next to each other and have a pleasant time.

Tumblr media
hello all!! this is a rp blog for uraraka ochako of my hero academia, written by milk. on my pinned post, you'll find all relevant links/info here for my blog. i am completely caught up with both the mha anime and manga, so beware of spoilers ahead. if i'm not here, you can probably find me on one of my other blogs: @blastintriumph @impishsensei @muryonokansei @hateshinaii @fatuispolaris @balemccn
please be sure to read my rules before interacting/following.
carrd || interest check || icon border credit || plotting call (wip)
for ease of access, my rules are also placed under the cut!
guidelines
I will interact with mutuals only. If I follow you I want to interact, so don’t hesitate to send me asks or IM me with plot ideas! DO NOT interact if we are not mutuals. this includes liking my posts and sending me messages. it makes me uncomfortable. DO NOT follow and unfollow then follow again to get my attention. if i haven't followed you back yet, it's likely i haven't noticed. if it's been over a week and i'm constantly active and still haven't followed back, sorry, but i probably don't see us interacting and won't be following back. i usually follow back muses of the same fandom. with muses from different fandoms, this heavily depends on my familiarity with the series, and even then, i'm hesitant unless i can imagine how our muses might interact as i prefer canon-verse threads and interactions above all. For OCs, I'll probably only follow if you have an mha verse.
I’m okay with one-liners, crack, multi-para, novella… everything! Feel free to send in any ask memes if we haven’t roleplayed before. Ask memes are a great way to break the ice so I really don’t mind. If I follow you that means I want to rp with you so if you’re ever unsure and worried you might be bothering me, don’t. I’m duplicate friendly.
i am very unlikely to follow if you don't engage in typical tumblr rp etiquette. i don't care if you use icons or not, because i likely won't use them often myself. i mean stuff like tagging and cutting your posts. heavy amounts of ooc posts (like 10+ a day in an hour) is also something i don't like to see. if you do this, please don't follow me. i don't mean to sound like a bitch but tumblr is super broken and a clogged dash makes it harder to navigate, especially when it's so easy to miss notifications. i don't practice reblog karma so idc if you get your memes from me, but i do ask that you please reblog from the source and not from me!
If I haven’t replied in over a month I probably lost our thread or it’s sitting in my drafts and I haven’t noticed it, so please message me to remind me about it. I won’t be annoyed or upset. I drop RPs sometimes out of a loss of interest but please don’t blame yourself. It is always a personal thing that has nothing to do with anyone else as a roleplayer. I’m always happy to write more regardless of dropping previous threads.
I generally like to plot through tumblr IMs or discord. I will say though, i do struggle a bit with plotting and tend to prefer random interaction on the dash or through memes, at least just to feel out a dynamic. HOWEVER, if you've got an idea or really wanna plot, ofc just message me!! even if it's not my preference i'm still down to rub those brain cells together and brainstorm.
i have a few mains, but for the foreseeable future i do not see myself exclusively writing with only one of a character. i like to write and really don't wanna be limited with that. mains are prioritized when it comes to answers and drafts, and in random ic posts on the dash (non-threads), they'll be who i refer to in her "main" verse.
where RP is concerned i heavily prioritize chemistry. for now, my blog is multi-ship, so any relationships my muse develops will take place in separate verses unless stated otherwise. i'm not opposed to making pre-established dynamics, especially for au plots. i find that can be really fun. honestly, if we talk and something sounds exciting i'll be up for it lol. i just don't want something forced out of nowhere. flirting between muses is fine. for deku muses: i do write ochako with a crush on him in mind, but obviously i won't force the ship. it's just her canon crush!
DON'T involve me with drama OR send messages telling me to reblog callout posts or anything like that. i don't care for getting involved with petty roleplay drama. if it's something actually serious, i've already seen it on the dash and taken note. seriously, i will hardblock, anyone that pesters me with this nonsense. for personal blogs: please do not follow/like/reblog my posts. doing so will result in an immediate block.
i personally have no triggers and don't need anything tagged. if you have any that might not be as common, please let me know and i will tag them. I won't be writing explicit smut on this blog. Suggestive jokes might appear, but nothing explicit. Non-sexual nsfw (heavy or triggering topics, violence, etc.) will be present and tagged. I have no issues with others writing it and I don't have any triggers I need tagged. Please feel free to ask and I will tag anything you need. Despite not writing explicit sexual content, I ask that minors DON’T follow my blog. If you’re a minor & I accidentally followed you, let me know & I’ll unfollow you immediately.

2 and 3 for Lazarus, 9 and 10 for Hasr'Thal, 22 for one or more ocs of your choosing, 25 as well for one or more, 27 for Keev, 4 for Ardezo, 1 for Edelweiss, im very tempted to ask 14 for like any character just because I’m p sure a good few of the ocs are already dnd characters abdjjfkt, that’s all I’ll send for more maybe but I don’t wanna be annoying but wanted to ask for multiple ocs
Not annoying at all~! @obscurelyscandinavian almost always sends a bunch for a lot of different characters when I reblog these, too~ It's fun to talk about multiple blorbos~
Lazarus:
What genre (not counting the one they’re in) would your OC thrive in?
Let him into a grungy movie!!!! This isn't really a genre but Lazarus NEEDS to be a Lost Boys vampire he would thrive SO MUCH. On that note, urban fantasy or perhaps something that's more pure horror than Barovia (He would thrive as a monster, but like, for the WORST reasons bc he probably wouldn't have the morality chain he has now)
What genre would your OC do badly in but it would be hilarious or interesting to watch?
G-dddddd it would be so funny to throw him in a dating sim/slice of life, or more light hearted fantasy/slapstick because any type of focus on feelings would knock him WAY off balance and the "rules" of the genre would prevent him from physically injuring anyone else lmao
Hasr'Thal:
If your OC wrote fanfiction (or if they already do), what type? (fix fic, ship, crossovers, AUs, smut, etc.)
Hmmmmm... He's a VERY serious little guy, but going off of "drow like playing intense and days long strategy board games" type hc, I think if he wrote fic, it would be really heavy on the politics and really crunchy world building, with the characters as more of a vehicle for that. He'd be VERY intense about the lore but any fic would have to have like 800000 layers of separation from the rest of his life because NO ONE CAN KNOW HE DOES THAT.
How would your OC do in the last book/movie/tv show/game/etc. you read/watched/played?
LMFAO NOT HASR'THAL ON GAME CHANGERRRRRR,,, He'd 100% get way too worked up and competitive about it- absolutely the type to have Brennan level unhinged rants, for SURE (but he's 4'7 so it's far more comical)
Keev:
In a murder mystery, what role would your OC play? (e.g. detective, sidekick, wacky suspect, rival investigator who gets in thew way, red herring, true culprit)
....Can he be the victim~? (I kid, I kid- Bo don't beat me up,,,) He’s a smart cookie! Resourceful and quick minded, but he doesn't really enjoy the spotlight, so I think he would fall into a sidekick roll. Keev is good for tagging along and observing, then bouncing ideas off of others, but he doesn't have a lot of faith in his ability to read people, so I don't think he would want to be the main detective accusing anyone of anything.
Ardezo:
What media does your character enjoy? (For characters in settings that aren’t modern Earth, could be media from their home setting or what they’d like in a modern Earth AU)
He likes reading in his main setting (ayyyyy Faerun)- lots of books and scrolls and music (Not too much exciting stuff when you live in a dragon death temple, though there's lots of access and contact with the Underdark, so maybe drow parties lol). In a more modern earth type setting, he'd probably be REALLY into things like Lockpicking Lawyer, Fascinating Horror, REALLY love audio books so he can listen to books while he works on stuff (different poisons or toxins, maybe histories of how to use that). He'd be REALLY into practical special effects and honesty probably be fascinated by fursuiters. (He's not ashamed by any stretch, about his scales, but he's a little annoyed he can't display or hide them with easy like his siblings can, so sfx transformations would be his sh-t lol)
Edelweiss:
Was your OC influenced or inspired by any particular fictional character(s) when you made them?
Not particularly for Edelweiss! My main influence for him was making the cutest, most pastel and fluffy looking murderb-bard~ (who's going to suspect the airhead who dresses in pinks and gold of being a hag-blooded college of whispers bard~?)
Any:
What type of Avatar The Last Airbender-type bender (or non-bender) would your OC be? Any bending specialties?
So lesse.... Ironically for my dumb drow and vampire, I think Hasr'Thal and Lazarus are probably fire benders. They're both aggressive and driven (to different degrees) and while Hasr'Thal prefers to use his spells to assist the others in his party more than directly fight, his personal beliefs are rooted in passion and ruthless motion forward. Lazarus is more straightforward- he's a monk, he's fast, violent, and gives into his base instincts probably too much, and he is GARBAGE at defense.
Keev and Edelweiss (despite being a direct blood descendant of an ICE hag) are probably air benders- Keev tries SO hard to be a pacifist and focuses his spell choices on things like slow or haste, with abjuration thrown in, he hits hard WHEN he does, but he focuses far more on evasion. Edelweiss is a bit more bombastic, but he's been flighty and nomadic almost his whole life, blowing in and out of town on a whim. His spells (outside of his innate ice abilities) are mainly focused on causing fear, listening to things unseen, and spying. An argument could be made for waterbending but tbh that's a bit clichéd?
Who WOULD be a waterbender would be Fion (boy's probably a little TOO into bloodbending, honestly- he's dancing way too close to taboo spirit work right now and then there's all the murder...) Ardezo is also probably a waterbender- tempted to say he might be a non-bender, with his complex about ONLY being a draconic sorcerer when his siblings are half dragons, but he IS still very magic and his style is very "hang back, don't be seen, poison or strike when they're distracted" and he worships a dual God of death and undeath, so fluidity in all things are his motto
What would be your OC’s My Little Pony cutie mark?
I was never really into MLP so these might be funky.... Hasr'Thal has an ouroboros (He's mad about it but that's what you get when you want to end the cycle of violence with an act of incredible violence) Lazarus might not HAVE one yet, or it just recently showed up, as a red vine climbing into stars. Keev has maybe a pie, or a simple hearth (bc despite being an adventurer, all he wants is to be a baker). Edelweiss also probably had a late.... branding?? But it's a storm cloud ;3c Ardezo just wants to have stronger dragon blood so baaaaaad that his is probably just a shadow dragon silhouette lol
Any:
If your OC was a Dungeons and Dragons character, what would their class be? And/or: If they were playing D&D, what kind of character might they play? (these aren’t necessarily the same thing)
LMAO almost all of them are! BUT we've done games inside games or thought about it before so I can answer what class they would PLAY in addition to what they are lol
Keev- He's a shadow sorcerer (with a few levels in abjuration wizard) and also a forever DM when he ran it IC, but if he were to make an idealized version of himself, he would be a Paladin of Devotion - though he wouldn't draw his power from a God, just faith in other people
Lazarus- Shadow monk! We did a one-shot where I DM'd as Laz but he would make an assassin rogue (because he's a cool edgy boy~)
Hasr'Thal- Warlock, mainly pacted with an archfey but he kinda maybe made a second pact with the Void that desires the heat death of the universe oops??? If he made a character it would be an INSUFFERABLE wizard because he's definitely not bitter at ALL about not getting to finish schooling to become one himself.
Edelweiss is, as listed above, a College of Whispers bard, and would probably play the same in a game, though he might play a "nicer" college (and maybe not use a fey type race)
Ardezo- draconic sorcerer~ (shadow dragon lineage- NOT a black dragon thank you very much) He might play around with rolling up a rogue, but he'd multiclass bc I think he would miss the magic lol

Out of Nowhere
Tumblr media
Okay so I once again return with something shamelessly indulgent just for MYSELF. I love Whitebeard. ˋ( ° ▽、° ) Just so much. I've been having this daydream of a meeting between an original character and Whitebeard for a while now so I decided to just write it. I'll probably won't do anything else with it. So I wouldn't consider it shippy or anything.
Whitebeard and F!OC / SFW  / 2.4k
Summary: Edward hasn't been traveling the seas for that long, but he still knew an interesting thing when he saw one. And a woman as large as an island, sitting atop the sea was definitely one of them. Warnings: None!
Tumblr media
“Newgate!” A urgent voice hissed into the dark. Edward groaned, wanting to go back to sleep the moment he was rudely awoken.
“What?” He answered flatly, annoyed.
“You gotta come see this.”
“Don’t wanna,” he grunted, turning over. The gangly teen was tired from another exhausting day at sea working like a dog aboard a ship he didn’t much care for. A punch at his ribs only solidified that fact as he sat up with an angry, “Hey!”
“Just come on.”
Grumbling to himself, Edward made his way out of his rack and followed the other boy through the ship. He could tell it was late, his inner clock letting him know as they wove their way to the deck. Once they arrived, Edward’s sleepy blue eyes widened with amazement. There was a fair amount of people standing around. What was happening? Suddenly much more awake, he pushed his way through the crowd that had formed along one side of the ship. Finally breaking through the crowd, he saw what they were all staring at and gasped.
Several nautical miles away was a huge woman, kneeling atop the sea. Bigger than anything he’d ever seen before; she must have been as long as an island if she laid down. Her hair floated around her head as though gravity didn't affect it at all. Almost as though she were under the ocean, instead of seated on top of it. Different colors warped and shimmered, a mini galaxy held in her hair. She was staring up at the moon. Although he couldn't place his finger on exactly why, Edward felt that something about her seemed…so sad.
“What should we do Captain?” A man asked, his voice low. Mutterings sprang up at the question.
“Should we attack?” Someone else asked. Edward’s head whipped around. No way! She wasn’t doing anything! Why would they attack her?! As he opened his mouth to argue (not that they would listen to him, still too young and fresh-faced to have much of a say in anything), someone laid their hand on his shoulder.
Tensing, he looked up before he calmed himself. It was the old man cook; stern but always fair.
“I wouldn’t do that Capt’n,” he wheezed, his missing teeth creating a slight whistle as he spoke. “Seen her before I has. You'd only be riskin’ the lives of the crew if you tried.”
All heads turned to look at the Captain who frowned. Casting one last glance at the woman he started barking orders, “Let’s leave it then. Give her a large berth as we go around.”
The next day, Edward caught the old man in the kitchens.
“Have you really seen her before?” He asked as he came inside, enough excitement coursing through his veins that it was able to beat back his tiredness, at least for now. He’d stayed up to watch the mysterious woman until she finally faded from sight. It took quite awhile and he was the last one out on deck watching before she finally disappeared.
“Aye. Start peelin’ those potatoes and I’ll tell you lad.”
Eagerly Edward sat before a large sack of potatoes and got to work, whipping out a small pocketknife.
“There has always been rumors about her. A giant woman who stares at the moon. Didn’t believe it me-self until I saw her. The crew I was on thought it best to attack. Barely made it out with me life.”
“Really?” Edward asked. “What did she do?” The man shrugged.
“No idea. Just saw a bright light and the whole ship was gone. Just so happened to fall overboard beforehand.”
“Wow,” Edward breathed, impressed. He got a slap at the back of his head. “OW!”
“Don’t sound so excited for me almost death lad.”
Edward grumbled but didn’t argue, rubbing at his head with a frown. “And? What do the rumors say?”
“Just that she appears randomly. Same place, same time of year but sometimes it'll be years before someone spots her. Always on a calm night and a full moon. That’s all. Don’t be gettin' ideas,” the old man warned with a menacing shake of his knife in Edward’s direction. “That path’s trouble.”
A handful of years later, Edward had still never seen her again. Although occasionally he’d be on a ship that traveled through the same place, it was never the right time of year or if it was, they traveled through during the day.
It was frustrating. Sometimes he wondered if it was nothing more than a dream. He was interested despite himself. Who was she? Why did she keep going back?
All questions without answers and he didn’t let himself dwell overly much about it. Life as a pirate was hard enough without distractions. And Edward had a goal in mind. Make his own crew, find his family. Too young for it at the moment, he still needed to grow stronger; strong enough to protect those he cared about. But he was learning and growing.
Still, when his current crew was passing through the same stretch of sea, at the right time of year and at night, he’d be hard-pressed to say he wasn’t excited. And to see that excitement rewarded shot a thrill through him like nothing else. A large grin broke over his face when he saw her, looking just the same as the last time he’d seen her.
“What should we do?” A voice asked, fear hanging heavy in the tone.
“Ready the cannons,” the Captain replied quickly and Edward’s brows furrowed.
“Captain, I wouldn’t do that, she can easily destroy the ship,” Edward warned and the man scoffed.
“We’re a strong crew, we’ll take her down, ain’t that right boys?” As affirmatives rang through the crew, he hurried away from the gathering crowd. Edward didn’t have any strong feelings for this crew and if wanted to kill themselves despite his warning, he was more than happy to let them.
Grabbing a backpack and quickly stuffing it full, he felt the ship shift underneath his feet and he cursed. Bounding up the stairs to the top deck, he ran for a lifeboat. Throwing in his bag, he jumped inside.
“Newgate!!” He heard the Captain roar as he started pulling the rope to start the descent. Shipmates leaned over to watch him go and he shot a cheeky wave.
The lifeboat hit the waves and he quickly picked up the oars before gunshots rang through the night. Edward didn’t let his pace falter as he sat back and dipped them into the sea. As he started a steady pace that easily took him away from the ship, he could hear the Captain still screaming curses and threats after him. He laughed to himself.
Still as he got far enough away from the ship that gunshots were no longer an issue (the crew wouldn't risk shooting a cannon at him, he'd just punch it back or send a large quack in their direction. He knew they wouldn't risk that) casting a glance over his shoulder told him he had a ways to go until he reached her. Edward shrugged put his back into it.
Not long after he started, Edward heard the cannons go off. Twisting around he watched as they reach their target. They should have looked like nothing more than tiny bursts of light from this distance, but a devil fruit user was onboard who could make their explosions larger and they always caused a lot of damage. Biting his tongue, he faced back towards the ship and kept rowing. Whatever happened now, it was probably safer to get as far away as possible.
More explosions rang through the night. Then without a sound, a beam of light lit up the entire sky. It completely whited out Edward’s vision and he froze. Blinking he kept his hands clenched tight, the wood rough beneath his palms. He couldn't risk dropping the oars in his panic, then he'd have no way to steer the boat. He waited, tense. No other noise broke through the sudden quiet. Slowly, his vision returned. The ocean was the same under him, calm with hardly a roll across its surface; perfectly flat. Looking over his shoulder, she was still there, settled back to look up at the moon. But the ship was gone.
Looking around, he couldn’t find even a hint of it. Breathing out a shaky breath, he began rowing again. After awhile the rhythm and constant motion relaxed him. Every now and then he cast a glance over his shoulder to double-check the distance. She never moved; it was as if she was a large statue. If he hadn’t personally seen this sea in the light of day, he might have believed she had always been there and always would be.
Finally, Edward got close enough that he figured he should stop and actually think about his plan of attack. It probably wouldn’t be good to get close enough to just jump on her, or shout. It was doubtful she’d even hear it, her body towered as tall as a mountain.
After a moment’s consideration, he stood and fisted a hand. Punching the air next to him casually; it cracked and the rumble it made echoed around them. Edward made sure that the resulting wave would break away from them. It wouldn't do to splash her either. Her face, normally upturned, tilted down. When she caught sight of him, he couldn’t resist a smile and waved.
There was a long pause but he didn’t let the smile fall from his face. A slight moment of dread washed over him. What was he doing? This could easily end up in disaster. Even if he had stopped a ways from her, it wouldn't be difficult to kill him, seated as he was on the sea. Still, he quelled the thought quickly. Edward was curious and that was reason enough. What was the point of things if you weren’t willing to risk everything for them? He squinted. Was she? Ah! She was shrinking!
If that wasn’t answer enough then he didn’t know what was. Edward sat quickly and rowed closer. By the time he reached her, she was as tall as a giant. Still impressive but it seemed almost small compared to her previous size. When she lowered her hand down to him, palm out he didn’t hesitate and jumped into it.
Gravity pressed him down and he locked his knees as she brought him up to eye level. Her hazel eyes took him in, the orbs speckled with green and brown, as her hair floated around her face. From this close, it seemed like a faraway galaxy someone had once told him about, glittering with distant stars. He wondered what would happen if someone touched it, would they fall in?
“Hello there!” He greeted loudly. “Names Edward Newgate!”
“Hello,” she answered slowly. Her voice made goosebumps rise on his skin but his expression didn’t change. Pretty, his mind informed him, as if he wasn’t aware.
“Not gonna introduce yourself?” Edward prodded and she stared at him before smiling. Just a small quirk of the lips. A cheek dimpled.
“I am no one, Edward Newgate.”
“Now I very much doubt that,” he said with a grin. “Just Edward is fine.”
“Edward then. Why are you here?”
“Well you did just destroy the ship I was apart of.”
“Ah.” She didn’t look over her shoulder like he was expecting her to. Likely knew there was nothing left of the ship then. “I apologize.”
Edward shrugged. “Don’t worry about it. I warned them against it but they didn’t listen. Mind if I sit? What are you looking at?”
“You may. The moon, what else is there to look at?”
“Why?” He asked as he sat.
“Why not?”
"Hm. Devil fruit?" Edward gestured to her hair, meaning her...everything. Size, weird hair, sitting on top of the sea, etc.
"What else would it be?"
"Which one?"
When she didn't answer, Edward narrowed his eyes at her and she giggled. He couldn’t resist a grin. Well if she wanted to keep her secrets, fine. He changed the subject and they talked for hours. At some point she transferred him to her shoulder, so she could look up at the moon. It was a little sad that he could only see the profile of her face at this angle but the brush of her hair when it sometimes drifted past him made up for it a little.
Still, the conversation was fun. Edward didn't quite get the answers he was looking for; any attempts he made she dodged, but it was a nice time regardless. Company with a pretty lady was never wasted and besides, he liked this one a lot. She was interesting and the fact that she paid any attention to him at all made him swell with pride. Larger than life, it seemed many wouldn't make an effort to talk to her. He liked thinking he was one of the few. Edward was thinking this as he chatted idly and he ended up yawning mid-sentence.
“It’s getting late.”
“Or early,” he agreed.
“Perhaps it’s time to sleep." She brought up her palm and Edward jumped onto it. She still hadn’t told him her name, no matter how much he needled at her.
Stretching, he glanced at her. “How are you going to get to an island? Everything’s pretty far.”
“I could ask you the same question Edward,” she said with a laugh.
The sound of her laughter made him grin. He cracked his neck loudly. “Eh, I’ll row until I find a ship. Or I reach an island, whatever comes first.”
“I think I can be of some help in that department.”
“Oh?”
“Yes. It was nice talking with you. Thank you for keeping me company, it’s been a pleasure.”
“The pleasure was all—” before he could finish the sentence a large finger pressed lightly down on top of head and darkness suddenly swarmed. His legs went rubbery and before the blackness claimed him, he felt his body fall...
When he came too, the sun blinded him at first. Squinting as he raised a hand to block out the light, it took him a second to recall what had happened and he sat up in a hurry.
He was laying in the middle of his lifeboat, his backpack still under the bench. Looking around, Edward saw the boat was set upon a stretch of empty beach. Craning his neck around he saw what might be a town behind him. He huffed loudly as he clambered out of the boat.
"Rude," he told the air. But he was smiling. Already he was running through different things to say her the next time they met. 'What a way to leave a man high and dry! Stay up all night with him, only to make him wake up alone, that's highly offensive you know!', 'You know you could have just said you were going to drop me off, no need for theatrics.' Running through his options, Edward whistled to himself as threw on his backpack and started walking. They'd meet again, he was sure of it.

The Lana Shipping Meme!
This is a meme made by @swtor-legacy-sitcom who very kindly tagged me to fill it in, thank you! :D This was super fun, I’ve been in a bit of a writing rutt lately so this was a nice way to sort-of dip my toe back into it :P I TOTALLY forgot this was in my drafts and forgot to schedule it to post, I’m soooo sorry it took so long lmao 😳😬
I’m not sure if we’re supposed to tag other people with this one so I’ll just leave a general, open tag here: if you have a Lana ship and want to fill this one out, feel free to yoink the meme and say I tagged you! Yes, I promise I mean you <3
Spoilers for KOTFE/KOTET, and slight spoilers for the Subterfugeverse “version” of said events, will be discussed below, so be aware of that before proceeding! There’s also some midlly nsfw questions so you might wanna skip those if they’re not your thing! :D Under a cut because it’s long, but no trigger warnings need apply.
Is Lana Beniko absolutely done with their shit?
Oh yes, absolutely. Nearly always. At any given time, BUT Lana wouldn’t have it any other way. Saarai may be a reckless, overly-heroic idiot with seemingly no self-preservation, but she’s Lana’s reckless, overly-heroic idiot, ya know :’D
Do they make jokes together?
Fairly often, yes! Theirs is very much a flirty/fond banter type of relationship. Lana tells her she’s insufferable, Saarai rolls her eyes and snarks back, so on. See:
Saarai: Well this was a stupid idea Lana: Considering it was one of yours, I’m not surprised Saarai: Why didn’t you say something? Lana: I did and you did it anyway. And what have we learnt from this? Saarai, quietly: I’m a dumbass and I should listen to you more.... Lana: Good. I still love you, though. Saarai: :’D
Lana, two minutes later: You’re going to do it again, aren’t you? Saarai: Yeah, probably.
as well as that little cutscene “You’d better come back blah blah blah” “Well I have you to rescue me, that’s all I need~” is their default pre-dangerous battle banter :P
Who’s hornier? (who initiates)
Tumblr media
Saarai is definitely hornier, and while she’s not always the one to initiate, she’s definitely the one to ask more often. (if I had to give it a number, prolly something like 65/45 lol) One of these days, Lana’s going to buy a spray bottle /jk
Kinkiest they’ve been?
Not awfully. Saarai’s a biter (Lana likes it, don’t worry 😏) and she loves it when Lana pulls her hair, but other than that, and making use of connections within the Force to heighten the sensations during such activities ;) they’re pretty vanilla
There was a post going around a while back about an alternative to a praise kink that was like, a “reassurance” kink, instead. I can’t find the actual post to link to it and I haven’t pinned down any specifics for them yet but I definitely think that’s a Saarai thing to look into later 😏
Has Lana ever covered up something your OC did as Minister of Intelligence?
In a roundabout way, yes. Technically, Saarai’s entire existence on Rishii. Since, teeechhnically, as far as the Empire’s concerned at that point, Rai’s supposed to be dead. Lana doesn’t know the technicalities of why that is (and Saarai isn’t comfortable telling her, even now), but she knows it’s important, so she does it for her even if she doesn’t know why.
Favorite non sexual downtime activity?
Cuddles! Saarai is a cuddlebug, and while Lana enjoys them she’s definitely not the “if I don’t get cuddled x times a day I can’t go on” type (in my headcanon, ofc, I’m not saying she can never be that way!) but, Saarai’s also very warm and cuddling her is cozy, so it’s something they both enjoy, whether Rai’s the big spoon, or - and this is Rai’s favourite thing ever - Saarai putting her head in Lana’s lap so Lana can play with her hair, it’s something they always do at the end of the day when they’re both done with work.
Mushiest thing Your OC has ever done for Lana?
So, I’m too impatient & lazy to do the actual HK missions in-game, but I know you can technically get another HK unit, so because ✨it’s my fanfic and I get to make the rules✨ Saarai sent Aria (my DS! Jedi Shadow, very good at stealth) back to Zakuul and though it was a bit battered up, she managed to retrieve HK’s processor. They had to get him a new chassis, but Koth and Ty managed to salvage the rest of his “important” bits and they rebuilt HK for her after they settled on Odessen :’3
Most Embarrassed Lana has ever been because of your OC?
In the middle of an important meeting, in front of everyone on the Alliance High Council, including Theron, Senya, Ni’kasi, Vano, etc.
Lana, sarcastically, after they’ve been disagreeing on how to handle a particular matter for ~1 hr: hahaha bite me.
Saarai, dead serious: Okay, where? 😏
Lana was mortified, to say the least XD
That thing that happened that they vow to NEVER speak of?
Saarai’s reaction when they went to Nathema. Rai’s psychometric, and in hindsight she realises putting her hand on that wall as she ducked into the building was a mistake. She was bombarded with flashback after flashback of what had happened on Nathema when it was still Medriaas, the planet where she was born and where most of her family died, it was not a pleasant experience for her and Rai actually collapsed at one stage because it was all too much for her ;w;
Lana had to bring her back around and herd her back on the ship, where Rai had to wait because she just couldn’t go any further, and Lana and Vano had to go on alone. Lana agreed not to tell anyone else about what had happened, because Saarai didn’t want any of them to worry about her, or think she was “weak” because of it.
The Angriest they’ve ever been at each other?
There’s actually two instances that come to mind for this one
1) Koth’s betrayal/stealing of the Gravestone, Lana was pissed at Koth and wanted to take it out on him, Saarai was pissed at the situation and got between them and chewed Lana out for taking it out on him. (Subterfugeverse is kinda complicated, there’s two Commanders calling the shots for different parts of the Alliance, Koth took issue with something Vano did and made the reckless, kinda stupid decision to still steal the Gravestone even tho Saarai didn’t do anything. (also for anyone new to the blog, all three of them are dating, they’re polyam ;)) Lana took it personally, Saarai was more upset that he was upset and didn’t say anything before he did something stupid. Rai and Lana butted heads about how to deal with it, Lana got salty cause she got yelled at, but they ofc fix it later :3)
2) Torian’s death. Saarai had tried to warn Lana what would happen if they split Vette & Torian up during that fight, Lana brushed it off and told Rai to “stop overreacting, it will be fine”. Obviously, it was not fine. Rai was very angry at the result because, I quote, “I WARNED YOU! And you wouldn’t listen to me!” Saarai refused to speak to Lana for a few days after that, it was kinda a rough time for Lana, she’s only seen Rai get that angry a few times, and only once at her so it shook her a bit. 😢
How does both Lana, and your OC initiate the ‘fade to black’ ;)
For Saarai, the “indicator” is usually when her kisses start to become 50/50 between kissing and biting/nibbling. That’s the universal “ok I want to” signal for Rai. Usually very quickly followed by a soft “yes?” or “are you sure?”, either against her skin or into her ear, depending on where she’s kissing at the time; because she’ll always check first, and if Lana says “no”, it’s off, because Lana’s consent is more important than any of her feelings.
For Lana, it’s when she’ll let Rai pick her up and/or usually to pin her to a wall. There’s a decent height difference, Saarai’s 6 ft 3, and I headcanon that while Lana’s not necessarily “short” at around 5 ft 8, she’s considerably smaller than Rai, as well as being more “reserved” with PDA, she’ll hold hands, or kiss her on the cheek etc. in front of other people, but otherwise Lana tries to keep somewhat “professional” while they’re at work. So when she starts climbing her like a tree, Rai knows she’s about to get some. XD
Do they have kids?
Kiiiinddd of? It’s complicated. Saarai has a son, Ty, from a previous relationship. Lana & Koth both sort of step up to help co-parent, but since Sith Purebloods age differently (i.e. they’re adults at ~20ish the same as humans, but after that they’re more like elves and their physical aging slows down, so they’re more long-lived), even though Ty’s very young by Pureblood standards, he’s still 60 years old, so he’s technically older than Lana and it’s kind of awkward for him to actually call her mom even if she kind of acts like one. He accidentally called her “mom” once, it was very awkward for both of them XD
What has been the most protective Lana has ever had of said kid?
I sat and scratched my head for ages trying to think of something to answer this question with, but I’m very sad to say that right now at the time of answering this meme, I don’t have any specific scenes planned out to tell you about! :( But rest assured that Lana absolutely would rush to help Ty if it was ever necessary :D
House pets? Is your Lana a dog person, or Cat person?
Funnily enough, they don’t actually have any pets! I’d like to think of Lana as more of a cat person than a dog person, in my personal opinion. But they have yet to get any pets of their own, maybeee later on, I dunno. Haven’t hit on any solid ideas for them yet, but I feel like if they happened upon a cute kitty they definitely could adopt one at some stage :’3
Do they get freaky on the Alliance Base or in the Shuttles?
They’ve done both, to be honest lol. Thankfully, Saarai’s sneaky enough that they haven’t gotten caught doing it, yet. Thank the Force.
Are their Sparring Matches Flirtatious? Hardcore?
They could go either way, it depends on what kind of mood they’re both in. If Lana’s particularly annoyed (usually not at Rai, but sometimes) then it’s more likely to be a hardcore spar, Rai’s a pretty tough cookie so she’ll often offer to be Lana’s punching bag in order to spare them some repair bills so she doesn’t rip apart the training dummies irrepairably, it’s okay, Rai can take it ;)
But if they’re both in an otherwise good mood and are just sparring for practise sakes, then yes, they often very quickly devolve into flirtacious banter and some of the classics, you know, “okay you win, you can let me go now” “mmm, nah” “I thought we were sparring” “do you want me to stop” “...don’t you dare.” etc. :’D
Class Specific things that play into their relationship?
Saarai’s a Juggernaut, and I headcanon Lana’s probably some sort of Sorcerer, so they tend to fight as such. They cover each other in more ways than one, if you want to get to Lana you have to go through Saarai first (and good luck to you, that woman can take and give a fucking beating lmao). Lana picks off whatever Saarai’s saber misses, usually with Force attacks but sometimes with her saber, too. Saarai takes bullets for Lana so Lana doesn’t have to get hurt. Lana yells at Rai for doing that and then fixes her up with Force healing afterwards, rinse and repeat. :’D
When they do argue, Lana tends to spontaneously manifest Force lightning, Saarai’s used to it and doesn’t bat an eyelid, she knows Lana’s not actually going to throw it at her and she’s more than prepared to dodge any stray bolts that do come her way.
Lana’s the tactician and the ground support, Saarai’s the battering ram/the bigass hammer used to clear space when Lana needs a bit of extra “oomph” (and trust me, they’re usually never far apart. The other one will be there and then you’ll be in trouble lmao)
Describe a time your OC went ‘Full beast mode’ to protect Lana, instead of the other way around?
"Kriff. Koth, what happened?” Three words was all it took, and everything made sense: “They hurt Lana.”
That scene in the Endless Swamps on Zakuul, just before they pull the Gravestone out of it and Lana and the Commander get ambushed. Saarai went with Lana & Koth to break Vano out of carbonite (since Saarai was still on Rishii at the time, she doesn’t get frozen, only Vano) so when they split up, Saarai goes with Koth to look for ship parts while Vano goes with Lana to look for water.
Lana and Vano get ambushed by the Knights/Skytroopers, and Lana’s hand gets busted. It takes Saarai and Koth a little while to rush over there to help them, but when they do
Saarai. Goes. Fucking. Feral. It’s the scariest she’s ever been in front of Lana and Lana will never forget it, they almost didn’t really need Senya’s help for that part, Saarai basically had it covered. I imagine Lana later described it as “kind of hot, but also kind of terrifying, actually”
Saarai’s considered Chaotic Good, so generally speaking if there’s a peaceful, non-violent solution to a problem, she’ll opt for that, but she has a few buttons that you just do not want to push, ever. And hurting her partners is one of those buttons. She will go apeshit and that’s exactly what happened in the swamp lmao
Little things couples do to annoy each other. What does Lana do? What does your OC do?
Saarai likes to wake up early and hide Lana’s kaf mug in increasingly ridiculous places. Once, she even got Koth to help her stick it to the top of the Gravestone’s hull. It took Lana half the morning to find it, Lana was not amused. XD
Saarai and Koth also have an ongoing “terrible puns” contest where they basically see who can annoy Lana with the most ridiculous puns possible, see this post for an example :P Lana wonders where/how they keep coming up with these puns, she really does.
Does Lana get jealous in your headcanon?
Not really! In Subterfugeverse, both Rai and Lana are polyam, so generally speaking, jealousy isn’t a problem for them, and when it is it’s more of a case of “hey. Hey. Hey, I’m not getting enough attention, pay attention to me.” and then it’s usually dealt with and all is well ;)
When Lana meets Anri, the only thing Saarai does is tease her about “when she’s going to make the move”. 😜
Story that is prominent in their relationship?
I was gonna draw a little doodle for this but the poses kept not coming out right so I gave up, sorryyy qAq
I haven’t gotten very far into planning the SoR onwards+ segments of Subterfugeverse, just bits and bobs like this, but I’d say for now the most prominent is probably their first meeting on Rishii. Basically, meet-cute but with a lightsaber involved too hahaha. There was a lot of posturing and flirty subtext right from the get-go with these two, even if Saarai was particularly suspicious at first (see the earlier question about her being technically dead to the Empire). At first, when she noticed Lana tailing Ty (because Lana was extremely confused about why a Pureblood was so far from Sith space ;)), Saarai assumed that something had happened to her twin and the Empire had A) found out she and Ty were still alive and B) Sent Lana to track them down and kill them for good. Several tension-loaded hours later and Lana managed to convince Rai that actually, Ni’kasi was fine and speaking of, she was trying to avoid being killed too so maybe, actually, they could help each other. And that was all she wrote <3

best experience: oh goodness, ive had some great experiences thooo, i think one of the top ones was the first animated disney rp group i was in, it was the first time i played mabel and it always has such a special place in my heart, mabel’s muse will never fade i don’t think, another one was when i joined this other oc group much later w some partners that i still love and am close to and the muses from then are so so close to me. another one was a reboot of mentioned oc group w some of the same partners and admins from then and my new set of muses were so loved and all i just....i love it
rp pet peeves/dealbreakers: when it’s obvious that players are in groups only for ships?? or when someone has a muse who’s supposed to be a bitch or an asshole and so they’re mean to other muses but then the other muses aren’t allowed to defend themselves or give it back to them, yk? like i don’t get the point of that? i’ve also once played against someone in this group who didn’t really put much thought into platonic connections or just didn’t want any drama that wasn’t romantically related? it just annoys me.
muse preferences
fluff, angst or smut: my goodness i love fluff so much and i feel like i do that the most but god angst, man, ANGST. i love it but like also it sometimes stresses me out lol, but it’s so satisfying, you know? i have no experience w smut bc i just haven’t been v comfortable w it but i think i might wanna give it a try with like partners that i trust, maybe
plots or memes: both are fun, i get so excited when a unique or specific plot gets thought up for our kids and like memes are always a big fat yes, absolutely, no matter what
long or short replies: i like small replies to start out w so that neither of us have to think about it too much but i also ADORE it when it slowly gets longer bc we’re both so in it and wanna write out every possible detail
best time to write: idk i like to write whenever i get the motivation to do so lol but i really do enjoy the vibes of writing during the evening idk
are you like your muse(s): oh for sure, each child of mine i feel has like some sort of piece of me in them one way or the other, each varying but i feel each character of mine has something to tell about me,  myself as a person

Warning - This story contains male gas, belching and flatulence, as well as facesitting. Focused on Dylas from Rune Factory 4. Canon x OC ship.
Per anon request~ _____
„Dylas? Are you listening to me?“
The young man’s ears perked up at the obvious irritation in his girlfriend’s voice. He admittedly hadn’t been paying a lot of attention to what she had been telling him; he was too busy dealing with… other things.
Since this morning, Dylas hadn’t exactly been feeling well. Ever since he woke up, his insides have been awfully agitated for some reason, and not even milk porridge for breakfast had fixed it. In fact, it was quite the opposite – his stomach felt even stranger ever since he’d had it. It had been consistently grumbling and complaining all day, feeling achy and bloated, and not only was it very annoying, it was also embarrassing. His pants and jacket were painfully pushing against his skin, no matter how often he adjusted them. He hadn’t dared to eat lunch, because he didn’t want to make himself even sicker and possibly end up having to cancel his date with Veyza. Of course, Dylas had arrived to it in a rather questionable state, and now she was clearly onto him. A shameful blush spread across his cheeks.
“Uh… sorry. I had… something else on my mind.”
It came out sounding like a bad excuse, and the horse man cursed the naturally sullen tone of his voice. Hopefully he hadn’t made her think anything was more important than their date. The dwarf girl seemed distraught at his response, causing him to feel awfully guilty.
“What’s bothering you? Wanna talk about it?”
“No!! – I mean… no. No, thank you.”
Great job, Dylas. Great job. You butchered this date before it even properly started.
An uncomfortable silence soon filled the room. Veyza wasn’t upset or anything; rather surprised by her partner’s strange behavior. Dylas was full of surprises, and very bad at expressing himself, but tonight it was especially noticeable.
Whatever’s bothering him must take up a lot of space on his mind…
She continued to eat her food in silence, wondering how she could get him to spill the beans. For all her life, she believed it was unhealthy to be alone with your problems. No matter how small they were, they were always lighter when shared with a loved one.
While she was debating on how to approach this matter, Dylas concentrated on how he could save this date. Was there anything he could say that could make up for how he snapped at her just now? What if he hurt her feelings? She didn’t look hurt… but she was so quiet. When Veyza was quiet, that was usually not a good sign.
His thought process was interrupted by a loud growl erupting from his middle, immediately setting his cheeks on fire. He’d been so busy wondering about his girlfriend that he’d forgotten to watch his food intake. Because he hadn’t eaten lunch, he was starving – and therefore eating way too quickly. Now, his already upset stomach was complaining about the sudden filling, gurgling and rumbling by far more than he’d expected it to. Dylas shot a quick glance to his girlfriend, begging whatever Gods were above that she hadn’t heard it. Luckily, she had either missed it, was too lost in her own thoughts to notice, or too polite to acknowledge it.
In fact, Veyza had just come up with a little idea, and blissfully shoved a spoonful of Curry into her mouth. When she noticed him looking at her with that nervous expression, she gave him a loving smile, to let him know everything was alright between them. The man’s heartbeat sped up even more at the sight.
“You know, Dylas…”
“Mmh…?”
“I’ve been really looking forward to our date tonight…”
His expression softened a little. Well, he felt quite the same way. Hence why he had hoped for his stomach to settle down first; because he had wanted it to go smoothly.
“Me too.”
“You too?”, her voice was full of warmth.
“I’m so happy to hear that! I love you, Big D~”
“I… love you too… Princess.”
She chuckled, winking at him. It was always lovely to hear him say that. With the time, she knew she could get him to open up. He was just a bit of a tough nut to crack.
“Now… Don’t you want to tell your princess what has your mind racing tonight?”
“I… don’t know what you mean.”
He couldn’t possibly tell her that he was gassy like… Like a horse.
“Well, maybe it has something to do with the fact that you’re eating a very small amount of sashimi tonight. And without soy sauce or wasabi, too… but more ginger than usual. You see, I know what you like… I’d have expected our dinner date to be more of a feast for you. Or did Porcoline run out of food?”
Touché, Faye.
As if her strange obsession with observing his eating wasn’t already intimidating enough, she also didn’t hesitate to admit that she knew him all too well. She’s been like that since the beginning. It hadn’t taken her long to figure out how he liked his food. Sometimes he legitimately wondered how he developed feelings for this little creep. Maybe… it was exactly because she took her time to figure him out.
“I’m just… I’m feeling a little under the weather.”
“I see…”
The dwarf silently continued to eat, waiting whether or not he was going to tell her what was going on with him. She was grateful he had finally shared what was bothering him, but she would have been happy about some more details. Maybe there was something she could do to make him feel better.
Dylas soon finished the rest of the sashimi on his plate, his innards still rumbling and gurgling ominously while trying to shift the gas around. Now that there was food inside his stomach, he felt like he looked twice his usual size. Even though he had told Veyza about his state, or at least hinted at it, he still felt uncomfortable about it, and hoped the painful rumbling wasn’t loud enough for her to hear.
“That was fantastic food”, she cooed, leaning back in an unfeminine manner. The dwarf didn’t show an ounce of shame. They were alone. Porcoline had made sure they could enjoy their date all by themselves. So she gave Dylas a tiny smirk, and to add to her statement, she let out a little belch.
Uuurp!
“Ugh…!”
Veyza giggled at Dylas’ expression of both disgust and amusement. As much as he tried to look reproachful, he couldn’t fight down the urge to smile at her. The corners of his mouth moved up before he could stop them, and he soon started chuckling along with her.
She was so… herself.
His truthful smile soon formed into a pained grimace, when a big amount of gas began shifting towards his upper belly. Clearly it begged for release. A loud, tormented sounding groan only added to it. Oh no.
Dylas quickly left his seat, making a bit of room in his middle by leaving his narrowed down position. He couldn’t bring himself to let it out in front of Faye. It was just… too much, too soon. Too much pressure. But right now, he had to ask himself what pressure was bigger – belching in front of his new girlfriend, or the menacing rumbles deep within? The gas, combined with his stomach juices working on the food he had eaten, began to feel like knives digging into his insides. Sweat formed on his forehead as he found himself groaning a little, out of sheer frustration. There was such a simple solution to it, but he just couldn’t…
“Dylas? You really don’t look well right now…”
He gave her a pained grimace. It was supposed to be a smile, but it really looked like anything but that.
“I’m fine.”
“Really? Or are you just saying that to shut me up?”
Touché again, Faye.
“Ugh… I’m… Like I said, I’m not in a good shape…”
The dwarf came closer to him, shooting him a warm gaze. Normally it wouldn’t bother him, in fact, he loved it when she looked at him like this, but right now, he only feared she could hear the deep rumbles from his agitated middle. But when she reached for his hand and her soft skin came in contact with his own, he immediately felt at ease.
“Dally… be honest with me… please. There must be something I can do.”
The young man hung his head in shame. She was so good to him. And he was acting like such a dork. Ruining this date. Before he even spoke, his face grew bright red. Just thinking of what he was about to say was absolutely humiliating… but now there was no way out of this anymore.
“My… stomach really hurts…”
“Your stomach…?”
“I’ve been… really gassy all day.”
Dylas half expected her to laugh at him, but instead, she now took his hand between both of hers. His heart skipped a beat when he felt her gently caressing his fingers.
“Oh, love… why didn’t you say anything? We could have spent our date differently… instead of eating together.”
“No!! – No I… I didn’t want to ruin it…”
“Dumb horse, you didn’t ruin anything.”
His face dropped at the name she’d called him. He hated it when she called him a horse, but he assumed he had it coming. She only called him a dumb horse when he did something stupid.
Veyza gently put her arms around his shoulders, giving him a bit of a clumsy hug. He was too tall for her to reach properly, and she also didn’t want to hurt his belly. And most of all, she didn’t want him to be unhappy. She hadn’t meant to hurt his feelings, or make him uncomfortable by confronting him. It was just very important to her that he trusted her with his needs. If anything, she was a little bit upset he hadn’t told her from the start that he wasn’t feeling well. Now they’d already eaten. Now he already felt like he had ruined it. And now, while he gently put his own arms around her, holding her close to him, she could feel his middle acting up right next to her own…
“You know, Big D… it’s still our date…”
“Yeah…?”
Faye gently pulled on his ear, directing him to move his head down a little. She then took his soft, furry ear between two of her stubby fingers, and whispered into it.
“Why don’t we go to my place? I can fix you up… We can spend some time together, just the two of us…”
His ear twitched free from her soft hold. Simultaneously, his tail began to flop around with excitement. As much as he tried to hide it, the thought of being alone with her in her room was pretty thrilling… even in his current state.
“W-what do you mean… fix me up…?”
“You’ll see…”
“But…”, he bit his lower lip and vaguely gestured to his bloated middle. He had to do something about that soon… Or he was going to burst… He wasn’t sure how much longer he could handle holding it back.
“Don’t worry about it”, Veyza purred. She gently brushed her hands across his sides as she let go of his shoulders, sending an intense shiver down the horse man’s spine. Combined with the seductive look on her face, the gesture got him pretty hot and bothered.
“Like I said… I can fix you right up…”
Whatever she meant by that, it sounded promising… but Dylas wasn’t sure just how much humiliation he could handle. If he ended up belching, or worse, farting in front of her… he could never show his face again. His ears were twitching wildly at this point. His first time in his girlfriend’s room, all alone with her… but… in such a state…
#
“Why don’t you take off these clothes?”
“W-what?!”
“What, are you ashamed? Fine, I’ll start then.”
Dylas found himself looking away when the dwarf reached for her shirt and began to pull it over her head. It hadn’t been too long since they had started dating… wasn’t it a bit too early for this? Well, as much as he was trying to be a gentleman, he was a man before he was anything else. Just thinking about the beauty she was about to show him got his eyes drawn to her like a magnet. An almost toneless yelp came from his mouth as he observed her bra – and the lovely chest this lucky piece of clothing was allowed to support. She hadn’t been exaggerating back when she’d said her breasts were tiny, but their shape was very cute. His tail started flailing like a fish out of water once he saw her taking her skirt off as well, revealing the counterpart to the mentioned bra – the most adorable blue lace panties he ever laid eyes on. When Veyza put her clothes aside, left with nothing but her underwear and her plain, black stockings as she walked towards him, he could barely look away anymore. Her shoulders and legs, covered in dark, poorly healed scars from her countless battles, her small, flat, but muscular form, and the obviously differently sized breasts, with her left one being almost twice the size… she lacked everything he was taught to be “hot” or “beautiful”, and yet, he was absolutely certain that he had never seen a more attractive woman in his entire life.
“Well? Are you going to take your clothes off, too? Or are you just gonna stare at me?”
Dylas bit his lower lip and nodded, obediently taking off his jacket. As he unbuttoned his shirt, he hesitated for a second. His stomach felt like a massive balloon, full of air and food. Was he really ready to show it to her…? The man closed his eyes and forced himself to think of his girlfriend, who had just showed him one of her biggest insecurities. He remembered how poorly she talked of her breasts. Of their differing sizes. There was no way she hadn’t felt anything while taking off her clothes for him. Maybe she was just as uncomfortable as he was…
With that in mind, he inhaled sharply, and finally took his shirt off, revealing his well built upper body to her. Veyza observed his chest, arms and shoulders as if spellbound. What a beautiful bone structure… Those broad shoulders, those refined collarbones, the pecs, and that gorgeous belly, though bloated, with that cute little trail of hair running down into his pants… How dare he hide this beautiful body from her for so long? She gently put her hands on his sides, feeling the goosebumps creep onto his flawless skin. His expression was full of worry, as if he feared she would judge him, but she honestly didn’t know what was there to judge. His sensual, slightly opened lips, just begging to be gently bitten and thoroughly kissed? His cheekbones, sharp enough to cut diamond with? The long, soft locks of hair; a smooth, greyish blue waterfall, a dream of any woman worth dying for? Seeing the normally so sultry eyes of his all soft and full of warmth made her heart pound with utter bliss. There was absolutely nothing on him for her to criticize.
Gods, he was so beautiful. She could barely stop staring.
The dwarf placed a quick kiss on the lightning shaped scar on his cheek.
“Hey, Big D… Didn’t you forget something?”
Dylas swallowed audibly. His pants were still on, and they were painfully cutting into his bloated middle, but he knew once he took them off, he would be entirely exposed to her. He, and his agitated stomach. It was tough for him to admit to his weaknesses, even now. But… he wanted to feel safe with her.
Very gently, he removed her hands from his sides, and started unbuttoning his pants. The relief he experienced when they popped open and gave his belly more room to breathe was beyond words. It took the poor soul all his self control to hold back a satisfied moan when he finally rid himself of this tight prison. Dylas felt much better just being in his underwear; the relaxation was written on his face. Just that view alone was enough to make Veyza feel excited. He was gorgeous when he looked so pleased…! But the moment didn’t last long, as his expression soon changed into something more… awkward.
“Nh… now what?”, he asked.
“Kissies!”, Faye demanded in a playful manner and gently pushed him towards her bed. He stumbled backwards, holding onto her shoulders a little.
“Hey, slow down…!”
“Never! Now I’ve got you right where I want you!”
For a second, Dylas remembered something Leon had said to him a while ago.
When you take her clothes off and wears matching underwear, it’s not you who wanted to have sex tonight.
An intense blush spread across his cheeks as he allowed her to push him onto her bed. She was tiny, but truly a pack of power. This girl knew exactly what she wanted – and how she’d get it. Before the poor guy knew what was happening to him, Faye had pinned his arms above his head, seated herself comfortably on his hips, and started scattering small kisses and bites all over his neck. A small whine came from his mouth as she shifted a little, causing his manhood to react with interest in what was causing the pressure on it. But as much as he enjoyed her kisses and bites, her womanhood pressed against his gentlemansword… He was still so incredibly, horribly, painfully gassy. It was hard for him to get in the mood, especially with her added weight on his already aching middle. He let out an audible moan, but it was more of an expression of discomfort. Right afterwards, a loud gurgle erupted from underneath Veyza’s small body. The dwarf immediately realized what it meant and got back into a straight position, giving his belly more room.
“I’m sorry…”, he panted, sweat forming on his forehead, as well as on the side of his churning gut.
“No, I’m sorry… I should have paid more attention…”
She carefully ran her hands across his sides and towards his abdomen, feeling the low, deep rumbles within, as well as the strange popping noises and the squelching. It felt like his insides were all over the place, helplessly attempting to juggle the gas inside. Her boyfriend’s pained, desperate expression tore right through her heart. She felt a bit guilty for taking him with her instead of letting him go home. The best she could do… was make him feel at home.
“Dally… why don’t you just let it out?”
“What?! Forget about it…!”
“Oh come on! It’s natural! We all have gas sometimes! Also… what’s the use of being with me if you’re going to be in pain all night…?”
He sighed, covering his face with both his hands. Just the mere thought was awfully humiliating. Did he really have to be the first one to cross the burp and fart barrier? It was the last thing he wanted. But… it grew increasingly harder to hold it in… and without all this gas, it would definitely be much easier for him to get in the mood for… other things.
“Ugh… fine…”, Dylas groaned, gesturing her to leave his pelvis. Veyza did as she was asked, allowing him to sit on the edge of the bed. Even though his eyes were pressed shut and his facial skin bright red, the anticipation for the release in his expression was clearly visible. The loud gurgles and groans consistently coming from underneath his belly button made it pretty obvious how much he needed it.
“Are you… sure I shouldn’t go outside or…”
“It’s okay, Big D. Really.”
She sincerely thought so. Going outside would mean he would be embarrassed, still. But she believed there was no reason for him to be; not anymore. Dylas was generally a very awkward and taciturn person. It had taken him many, many months to warm up to her, any even longer to get this close to her. It had taken her forever to gain his trust, and to get him to be truthful about his feelings. Honesty and mutual trust was what a good and stable relationship was built on, or at least, so she heard. So she wanted him to trust her and feel safe around her, in every possible way. She wanted him to know she would never judge him, and it was honestly, absolutely, okay for him to be vulnerable – or gassy, in this case.
Dylas bit his lower lip, the gas painfully working itself through his insides. As much as he tried to, he just couldn’t forget about his girlfriend sitting next to him… it was so embarrassing. He wished he could just be alone for a few minutes. But it didn’t seem like she would let him. So he was left no choice but to…
BUUUUUURRRRP!!
The young man immediately, reflexively covered his mouth; his cheeks burning with shame. He hadn’t expected the first belch to be so unholy and loud already, but Gods, it felt good to let it out! He couldn’t help but whimper. Faye felt her face turn red as well. Was it sympathy? Awkwardness? She wasn’t sure. The one thing she was sure of, though, was that she loved that look on his face. That mixture of embarrassment, discomfort and pleasure… she had no words. Dylas wanted to apologize, but he felt the next belch working itself up his throat in this very moment.
Guuuurrrrgleee… rrruuuUUUUURRRRP!!
Even though he hadn’t taken his hands from his mouth, the loud burping sound had barely been muffled by them at all. His ears were moving back and forth anxiously. His gut was still rumbling ominously. And he definitely didn’t seem satisfied yet. Veyza bit her lower lip, unable to take her eyes off his face. This new, unusual expression awoke something deep inside her. She was so used to seeing this stern, rough stallion; it was oddly refreshing to see him with such a helpless look.
He was… so cute.
This time, the gas seemed to shift down instead of up, and she could tell by his panicked grimacing that he wanted this even less. For some reason, the dwarf girl grew excited at the thought. She was eager to see what he looked like when he experienced that kind of relief.
Deep down, she was hoping he would moan a little.
Dylas shifted, his rear facing away from her, and hung his head in shame as the thunder rumbling through his intestines found its way to daylight.
BBBRRRRRRRPPPPPTTT!!
“Aah…!”
That whine…! Faye’s clit was actually twitching by now. Gods, why did this turn her on so much?
“I’m so sorry…”
“Please… don’t apologize…!”
Dylas finally dared to turn his head towards her, surprised to see what expression she was wearing. She looked awfully giddy, her nails dug into her bedsheets and her body all cramped up. Was she holding back her laughter?
“Go on, laugh at me… I deserve it…”
“N-no, I would never…!”
Veyza was an honest soul. But if she wasn’t going to laugh, what was that body language about? The monster man looked down at his own feet, unable to handle the shame. He felt like he could never look her in the eyes again… Just by chance, as he turned his head, Dylas caught a quick glance at her privates, and was more than surprised to see that her panties were soaked. Was this still from before…?!
“Faye…!”
“W-what?”
“Are you… is… am… you….”
“I… what?”
Gods, this was so awkward. How could he possibly ask her what was on his mind? His heart was racing. He was hoping for the ground to open up underneath him and drag him right into oblivion.
“Did that… turn you on?”
Oh no. Now Faye felt the same way. Now it was her cheeks that grew bright red.
“Mh… maybe.”
Dylas felt a wave of heat rush through his body. His belching and farting had actually turned her on? Was she serious? That was probably the weirdest, and yet most… intriguing moment of his life. Suddenly, he wasn’t as ashamed anymore. In fact, he was rather… curious.
“So… you’re into that…?”
“I guess…”
“Why… didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t know either…”
They both shared an awkward chuckle. All of a sudden, Dylas reached for his partner’s hand, causing her to jerk a little, but she was soon captivated by his intense, amber eyes.
“You know… I’m still pretty gassy…”
“You mean… gassy like a horse…?”
He grunted in disapproval, squeezing her hand a little, but he wore a smile on his lips.
“Yeah. Gassy like a horse.”
“My… what do we do about that…”
This was new for both of them, but it felt like their bodies knew exactly how this worked. Veyza was instantly drawn to him again, and found herself slipping over to him, her aroused womanhood seemingly guiding her. With no hesitation, she began to place kisses on his neck again, slowly moving up to his face, and soon working on his bottom lip. Dylas pulled her closer and seated her on his lap, joining the fiery smooch. Gratefully, he opened the strap of her bra, and caressed her breasts with one hand each. While she slid her tongue into his mouth with a soft moan, he noticed Faye’s hands reaching for his still bloated middle. As she began to passionately tease his tongue with her own, he felt her warm fingers rubbing his agitated gut. Before Dylas could do anything about it, another belch erupted from his mouth, right into hers.
Uuuuuurrrrp…
As if to show her approval, Faye moaned into his mouth and began to grind her womanhood against his thigh, causing his member to grow harder within seconds. She was really into that! He could barely believe it. Fervently, he took off her bra, threw it behind himself and pushed her from his lap onto the bed. She sunk down with a yelp and caught a quick glance at his aroused member pushing against his underwear before he pinned her down by her arms, just the way she had done it before, and scattered kisses all over her chest.
“Oh fuck, baby…!”, she gasped, experiencing nothing but thrill at the most disliked part of her body being worshipped like this. Dylas softly purred into her skin, his tail flopping frantically. From the corner of her eye, his girlfriend saw said tail rising slowly.
FRRRRRRAAAAPPRRRRTT!!
He moaned blissfully at the relief it caused him. Heavens, that felt so good! The smell that soon filled the room drove Veyza almost to the edge of an orgasm.
“By the Gods…!! Dally, don’t make me cum without you inside me!”
Oh, he definitely didn’t want that! Greedily, he pulled her panties off her hips ands thighs, and allowed himself a quick look at her womanhood as he dropped her underwear at the other side of the bed. Of course, she didn’t want to be excluded. After she allowed him to admire her for a little while, she practically clawed at his boxers, roughly pulling them off. Dylas couldn’t hold back a few whimpers as it brushed against his erect member, causing the young woman to helplessly bite the back of her hand in order to keep herself calm. She knew she called him Big D for a reason. He was so unbelievably sexy! Now that she was so aroused, the dirty desires just wouldn’t stop pouring in.
I wanna blow you while you fart. Give me your tongue, and burp into my pussy. Please, just sit on my face and fart on me.
Dylas observed her face with an almost loving expression, eager to find out what was on her mind.
“What are you thinking about, princess?”
“Nothing… Everything…”, she panted, giving him a bit of an embarrassed look.
“I have… a different idea… Are you still gassy…?”
The young man gently slowly lowered his middle towards her face. Veyza gasped, turned her head to the side a little, and allowed his noisy gut to rest on her ear. It was still very active, churning and groaning as it zealously destroyed the dinner he’d had earlier. Faye found herself whining as a particularly loud rumble caused his skin to vibrate right against her ear.
“Oh heavens, baby… it wants to come out…”
“It really does…”
“I want to smell it…”
“Are you sure?”
He lifted his middle from her head, and Faye nodded devotedly.
“Yeah… please, Big D, sit on my face… We can fuck after you’re done using me as your seat…”
The horse man chuckled lowly. His member began to throb at her request, sending a shiver down his girlfriend’s spine.
“As you wish, princess…~”
The dwarf was so excited when Dylas turned around that she legitimately had to stop her body from jerking on its own, like a chihuahua. She whined with anticipation when she saw his butt actually lower down towards her face. His tail tickled her nose for a moment before it was flopped out of the way, and she saw her boyfriend’s twitching butthole just for a few seconds before it was placed directly between her mouth and nose.
God, that was so hot!
She couldn’t help but moan loudly as she dug her nails into his sides. He grunted, shifting a little. Perfect, now she got even more of his scent up her nose. The girl shut her eyes to fully enjoy the moment, and gently began to caress Dylas’ butthole with her tongue. Simultaneously, she reached for his member with one of her hands, and rubbed the side of his belly with the other. She’d told him from the start, she was good at multitasking! Yet it seemed to have caught him by surprise. He grunted, holding onto her hand while it was circling across his belly. She could still feel it rumbling, and gosh, did it make her happy!
Dylas could barely believe he was actually getting his ass eaten for the first time. He found himself covering his mouth, his cheeks flaming. That was something he could never see himself doing… and yet, here he was – and it felt amazing. With Faye’s skilled tongue stroking his sensitive anus and occasionally poking through to his rectum as well, he quickly grew harder inside her hand, a few drops of pre cum making their way out of his tip.
No, not yet…!
He bit the back of his hand in a desperate attempt to fight down his arousal. He didn’t want to cum yet. Not while he wasn’t inside her yet! His penis throbbed almost painfully, causing his hips to jerk on their own. He was so tensed up, trying to keep his rock hard gentlemansword under control, that a few tiny farts slipped right into Faye’s mouth.
“Hngh… I’m so sorry…! I can’t hold it!”
She patted the side of his belly and gave him the ok hand, even though she was gagging a little. Her reaction was so oddly arousing to him… and if she kept touching him like that, he wouldn’t be able to pull himself together much longer… Occasional drops of cum ran down his member, onto her hand, and his voice only grew needier as he attempted to keep it down. Dylas soon found himself moaning her name over and over again while she caressed his asshole and jerked him off at the same time while he squeezed her free hand. His belly cramped and rumbled, making him moan her name loudly.
“That’s gonna be nasty”, he grunted to himself and ripped a massive wet fart, right into her face, followed by a relieved, high pitched groan from his throat. Just a few seconds later, Faye’s entire body succumbed to an orgasm, violently shaking as the heat filled her up inside. She moaned a muffled version of his name into his ass, clinging to his middle. Just the view got him so incredibly riled up, he couldn’t even make it to her pussy in time before his orgasm took over. He shed his seed all over his own belly, pelvis and his girlfriend’s chest, calling her name and tightly squeezing her hand while doing so.
#
“Hey, Big D?”
“Mmh?”
“Do you think I’m gross…?”
The young man lifted his head and gave her a surprised look. That was not the question he had expected.
“Why would I think you’re gross?”
Veyza bit her lip, narrowing her eyes. Her ears were bright red, like little strawberries.
“In case you forgot, I got aroused by your gas and had an orgasm to you farting on my face.”
“How could I possibly forget.”
His butthole still felt a little bit sore.
Dylas removed some hair from her face with his index finger and ran it down her cheek. The tender smile on his face was enough to make an iceberg melt, and the dwarf girl’s heart was certainly not an exception.
“I don’t think you’re gross. In case you forgot… It turned me on, too.”
He playfully pinched her cheek, causing her to erupt into a childlike giggle. She held his hand towards her face with a grateful smile.
“Dally… I think we were made for each other.”
“You know what? I think so too.”
Yes… she was the only one who had managed to make him feel this way all his life. He had met people from two different time periods. And Veyza… was the first who had managed to get through to him. She accepted and loved him in his entirety. The least he could do was do the same for her. The monster man placed several small kisses on her forehead, her nose, and finally, her mouth; then, he allowed a tiny belch to slip as a grand finale. Veyza burst into bright laughter.
“I’ll get you back for that!!”
“Oh yeah? You have to come and get me first!”
He was surprised by her powerful grip as she hugged him and dragged him down with her.
“Come cuddle, you big, dumb horse!”
“Make me, you puny, ugly dwarf!”
They shared a passionate, intense kiss, expressing nothing but unfiltered love for each other. It filled them with pure joy to know their partner accepted them exactly for who they were, and they could entirely be themselves around each other.

May I ask you a question: why do you like Diego and Ismelda? I'm not their hater, just neutural on them, but I can't get why some people like them.
Oh that's okay, nice of you to ask (some people would just attack). (Please excuse the length and any misspellings).
For starters, I have a tendency to like unlikable characters, yes as simple as that. No, no characters like Merula who you're supposed to hate or be enemies with, but characters supposed to annoy or make the person interacting/reading roll their eyes. That's how I made some of my best friendships in school.
I won't go in depth why I chose them to ship with my ocs (I encourage you to go through my shipping tags if you'd like) also because it's a whole other topic and I'll end up writing a bible here. I'll try as much as I can not use headcanons cause those will mean nothing to you, but I think is worth to say what I, Bee, think of them is not what my MC thinks of them and I would say she has a rocky start with these two as anyone.
First Ismelda.
I guess my liking if Ismelda gets a bit deeper than just liking a character I find nice, I actually see some of my school experiences on her. I wasn't emo doing grusome comments at all, but I was this outcast who thought of herself as this unappealing, unattractive, and uninteresting person who almost everyday wished she could be homeschooled because I just didn't have the patience to witness other people's bullshit. I wrote sad poetry for people just like her! I took 6 years in the same school to finally find a real friend because the others kept leaving me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in some points I can't help but sympathize with what she's going through. Being alone, seeing the only friend you have slip away to someone you can't possibly compete with - I was not an MC in school, I was Ismelda! -, being unattractive in a place where everyone looks at least cute, getting the side-eye for going against the grain. I have no sister, no negligent family, but as human I can empathize with her troubles.
Besides points I can sympathize with, I like some of her attitude of screw everyone and what everyone thinks, which is a perspective I sort of took after years of being laughed at. On the gruesomeness aspect, my last fandom, that I'm still in, is Hannibal, so I'm not unfamiliar to gruesome and cannibal jokes, characters being terrible to each other and we still shipping them and joking about them, and idk stabbing people? In media ofc xD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also HER BARK IS MUCH HARSHER THAN HER BITE. People often comment negatively about her on the things she says, but it's obviously for shock value, when threat appears she's pissing her pants and it's not fooling anyone. It's hilarious to me like watching a lil baby puppy trying to seem threatening, sometimes we even place a finger on their mouth so they can bite us softly.
The 'haha I wish Voldemort was back' is her being at the same time an idiot, a product of her house (let's not forget at this period in time Slytherin is full of straight up DE kids with DE ideals), and unknowledgeable about what it all means. She hasn't been, as far as I know, directly affected by the 1st Wizarding War like Barnaby or Merula - those two literally had their stupid ass parents taken away.
I also like to watch JC try poorly to build her an arc. The placing of Crushed for example is off, happening after many dating SQs, but is there her arc begins - she has a stiff moral compass that gets a lil loose after that -, then we have the Sphinx club where she's way less hostile, the Quibbler SQ where they do all sorts of weird stuff to her but I wanna talk about it another time, and the Great Cook Off where she actually apologizes for overreacting. She's not a fully baked character, she's a caricature of the emo girl and I like to watch her development, and even when there's no visible development, I find humor.
I don't like everything she does or everything she says - but I don't even like Barnaby a 100% of the time - but I know it's fertile ground where a great character can grow.
As for Diego this might be shorter because I've known him for less time in the game.
Diego is extroverted, he's confident, and he's always eager to help. People's problem with him comes mostly from he's flashy, he has a grandiose sense of self, and that he s flirty. And none of those things are aspects I take trouble with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've said before, this talking in third person, calling himself 'great', 'the best' is a way of asserting himself to himself and others. And there's nothing wrong with that as there's nothing wrong with being a shy introvert. So far, he has placed himself high without ever placing someone down and he gives praise where praise is due.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As being flirty, which people really seem to hate and I really see no harm. Is not like he tried to kiss MC or said something inappropriate. I find it quite endearing actually. I'm gonna guess JC wanted to make him a Don Juan but landed on Johnny Bravo and I'm here having a laugh about it.
The 'omg he thinks he's the best but but MC never lost a duel to him' argument is so stupid to me, because the duels we do value nothing, if we lose a duel the game makes you pay to do another one as many times as we need. The value is in things known and said, Diego is literally a dueling instructor - probably placed as such by Flitwick. Unfortunately when we duel him is not like the game allows us to lose, is different from Penny's potion making, where she makes it while we sit and watch and even before we see her doing a potion, we're told she's the best at it and she's knows she is.
Diego has shown to be, besides his more prominent characteristics, to be thoughtful, always willing to help, and enthusiastic. He never shies away from the blame, he encourages others, and he's eager to listen to others. But like Ismelda he's really underdeveloped and underused.
One point to make would be his personality vibes with my MC's personality. She's an extrovert, she likes to think she's desired, she takes pride in the abilities she acquired along her curse breaking.
To conclude, do I think you should like them? It'd be nice for me to have someone to talk about them with, but it's not about what I want. You don't have to like them, all I ask from people is respected, specially on other people's content. I have characters I don't like in the game (I didn't max out Tulip on purpose, and Andre who was starting to grow on me had a big reset lately), so I won't try to force them down your throat, but you won't see me dragging them down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your ask was why I like them and if all said wasn't enough, the simple answer is they're both ridiculous and the make me laugh and smile. I'd like to have them as friends.

Push and Pull (Part 20)
Pairing: Matt Murdock x OC
Tumblr media
Warnings: cursing, angst
------
Something roused Daphne from her sleep the next morning but she wasn't sure what. Her head felt like it was imploding in on itself and she winced when she opened her eyes. She was vaguely aware of a heavy weight over her middle as she lay on her side facing the wall. As her senses tried to gain their equilibrium, her ears picked up on frantic banging at her door. She heard a pained groan at the noise that was attached to the arm around her.
"Daphne! Open the damn door!" It was Foggy and he sounded like he was having a meltdown. She slipped out from the arm, swiping some panties from her drawer and putting them on quickly. The banging was making her head hurt like a bitch and Foggy's panic had her putting on the t-shirt she’d previously stolen from Matt since it was big on her and long enough to cover her ass. She padded over to the door, grimacing at how the noise got louder.
She swung the door open and Foggy almost knocked her off her feet as he rushed inside.
"Matt’s missing. He didn't go home last night and he didn't turn up for work. I can't get a hold of him! He- he could be bleeding out in an alley or something! We need to find him!" He panicked with wild eyes. Her brain felt like it was working through molasses and she blinked at him with bleary eyes.
"Didn't you hear me?! He could be dying!" He screeched.
"I'm fine," Foggy whipped his head over to the bed, confusion and shock on his face for a moment as his eyes landed on Matt. He was sat up now, sheets pooling around his waist as he rubbed his tired eyes. His hair was sticking up in every direction.
"W-what? Oh! Well I guess you two made up then," Foggy quipped, sounding much calmer than moments before.
"It's too early for this shit," Daphne grumbled tiredly, pushing past him to get to the kitchen. She got started on making a pot of coffee. Her eyes seemed to be in a permanent squint at the light that felt like razors to her brain.
"Not that I'm gonna complain about you two fixing things, but you couldn't have let me know? A phone call? Anything?" Foggy grouched at Matt who sighed in response.
"I was a little busy," Matt said dryly. Foggy nodded, cheeks a little pink as he glanced from Matt to Daphne and the tequila bottle on the coffee table before landing back on Matt again.
"Can I get some privacy?" Matt asked wryly, gesturing to his naked body. Foggy scoffed and threw the backpack he was carrying at him. Naturally, Matt caught it no problem.
"Clothes?" Matt questioned softly. Daphne glanced over at him briefly before grabbing two cups out of the cupboard. Her brain still wasn't functioning yet.
"Yeah well… I wasn't sure if I'd find you bleeding out or something and I figured it's a little less weird to take you to the hospital in normal people clothes," Foggy replied as he turned his back so he wasn't watching. He still sounded a little salty over the whole thing.
"Well I was fine," Matt muttered, standing up and getting his clothes on. Daphne may have peeked at him. It seemed like Foggy had picked black sweats and a t-shirt for him to wear.
"Alright, I get it. But this is… this is nice. Like old times right? You two having some crazy make up sex," Foggy started. Daphne shot him a glare as she poured out two cups of coffee.
"I swear, if you make this weirder than it needs to be, I will stab you in the face," she threatened, narrowed eyes and a scratchy voice. Matt chuckled as he waltzed into the kitchen and Foggy looked offended.
"Wow. Note to self, Daphne is mean with a hangover," he huffed.
"She's mean all the time," Matt quipped without missing a beat. She squinted at him, handing him a cup of coffee for him to sort out with sugar and creamer or whatever he wanted in it. Her hospitality ended at making the coffee and pouring it. He took it with a grateful nod and small smile.
She flung three sugars into her own coffee and a generous amount of creamer.
"I don't get a coffee? Now I'm just hurt," Foggy muttered in contempt.
"Are you hungover?" She asked with a quirked brow.
"A little!" He pouted. She rolled her eyes but couldn't stop the smile on her face at his antics. Grabbing a cup, she poured him a cup and gave it to him. She walked over to sit on the sofa as the boys sorted their coffees out. Before long, Foggy flopped into the armchair and Matt sat next to her on the couch.
"Sooo…" Foggy started, finger tapping on the mug he was holding.
"Foggy," Matt warned carefully, glancing in his direction.
"What? You really expect me to not want to talk about it? It's me," Foggy snorted.
"We had sex. It was great. Story time over," Daphne muttered, blowing on her coffee to try and cool it down faster. She really didn't want to have this conversation. It would have been weird waking up with Matt in her bed and dealing with that but of course Foggy had to come over to just sprinkle more awkwardness into the mix.
"You hear that, Matt? It was great," Foggy grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. Matt smirked, trying to hide it as he took a small sip of his coffee.
"I can share with the group what Karen says sex with you is like if you want?" Daphne asked with a devilish grin. Foggy's eyes widened and his cheeks flushed, mouth opening and shutting. Matt laughed, glancing to his side at her.
"I'm actually curious what she says," he probed, continuing their teasing.
"No! No, no, no! We don't need to go there! I'll shut up, I promise," Foggy squeaked. Daphne smirked triumphantly and slurped some of her coffee. Karen hadn’t even spoken to her about sex with Foggy, she hadn't even been sure it had happened until now.
They drank their coffees with some comfortable silence. There was only a twinge of awkwardness in the air. Matt and Foggy ended up talking about a case they were currently working on as she nursed her hangover with a coffee. Once the cups were empty, she was mildly surprised when Matt stood, gathering the cups and moving over the sink to wash them. Her green eyes scanned her apartment and she pouted at herself. She’d made such a mess the night before in her drunken state and she hated it.
"Alright, as much as I'd love to spend time with you two assholes, I need to clean this place before I rip my hair out," she muttered as she stood up.
"You did make quite a mess," Foggy grinned teasingly. She flipped him off and leaned against the kitchen counter as he stood. Matt used the backpack to store his suit and mask, only just making it fit. She was hopeful that they'd leave without incident but she almost forgot Foggy was Foggy.
"You know what, we should go on another double date. Karen would love it," Foggy mused as he and Matt walked to the door. She blinked at him unimpressed as Matt thwacked him across the head.
"Stop," Matt huffed, shoving him closer to the door. Foggy grumbled under his breath as he opened it.
"I'm not sure I wanna be Captain of this ship anymore if you both bully me like this," he grouched.
"Out!" She said firmly, pointing to the door. Foggy smirked, holding his hands up in surrender as he slipped out the door. Matt glanced her way as she padded over. He opened his mouth like he was going to say something, but settled on just nodding. She was grateful. She wasn't sure what he would have said.
She watched as Matt took Foggy's arm in case anyone saw him and she shut the door as they walked down the hall. Breathing a sigh of relief, she set to work cleaning up the place. A tidy apartment and a few cups of coffee later, she found herself soaking in the bath and relaxing. She didn't have anything to do that day so she took the time for some TLC. She couldn't do anything with the Grimes case until the ball later that week and there was no new news on the Italians from Brett. There wasn't even any progress with the Keiran situation because his mouth was still wired shut and he wasn't in great condition. It was a rare moment of calm for her.
As she relaxed in the tub, her hangover started to wane and she found her thoughts straying to the night before no matter how hard she tried to fight it. It had been wildly different to her previous times with the vigilante. Usually they skipped foreplay, just getting right to the rough and dirty stuff and that was that. They'd got what they wanted. But the night before was a whole world away from that with all the intimate touching and how they took their time. She couldn't remember everything but she kept getting bits and pieces of it as it clicked together like a jigsaw puzzle. She remembered how excited she was to see him, how she told him she'd missed him. She remembered how her stomach fluttered when he used his fingers to ‘see’ her face properly. She remembered how it was the best sex she'd ever had. But it was all so intimate. She hated herself for it. Never had she been that way with someone before but she'd been drunk and so had he. She’d let her guard down fully with him. She was annoyed at herself for not letting him leave when she should have.
She didn't so much regret it, since there was no way she could regret the way he made her body feel. But she felt weird about the vulnerability of it all. How it made her feel. She was just glad he didn't make a big deal out of it like last time. She’d told herself she wouldn't fuck him again, no matter how good it was, because it seemed to make things messier. But her plan had failed and now she just had to hope they would move past it. Yet she still found her mind drifting to the way he touched her, like she was made of gold, and it made her stomach feel weird.
---
The week seemed to fly by and although Foggy came to see her most days with coffee and food, she hadn't seen or heard from Matt. She wasn't sure how she felt about it. It was only two days away from the ball now and Mrs Grimes had called her to tell her that she was on the guest list. She also sounded very disappointed she didn't have a plus one but thankfully didn't press it. Now she knew the plan was definitely on, she needed to go and get a dress. That's what led her to walking to the firm. She needed Karen. Karen knew about the ball and she needed a woman's eye. Foggy had slipped up once when he came to see her and told her he'd told Karen about the plan. After getting an earful from Daphne, he replied with how she specifically said not to tell Matt, which he hadn't, so he didn't do anything wrong. She couldn't argue with that logic and she didn't really blame him for telling her. It made it easier for her anyway since now she needed Karen's help to pick a dress.
She hadn't called her to ask, she figured she'd just go find her. She was dreading going shopping, it wasn't something she ever enjoyed. And this was in an upper-class part of New York and she knew she didn't belong there. When she got to the firm, she could hear raised voices coming from inside. She lingered at the closed door, her curiosity burning and stopping her from making herself known.
"We need to tell her, Matt!" Foggy yelled. She didn't think she'd ever heard Foggy be genuinely angry before and she raised her brows a little.
"No! Telling her is only going to put a target on her back!" Matt retorted hotly.
"She has a target on her back either way, and I can’t keep lying to her! She's my girlfriend now, Matt. It's not fair!"
"It's not your secret to tell!"
"No, just one you're forcing me to keep!"
It was painful listening to them argue if she was honest. Like being a little kid and hearing your mom and dad fighting about getting a divorce. She didn't like it. She opened the door and the pair turned to her in surprise from where they stood in the waiting area of the firm. She guessed Matt hadn't known she was there in the heat of the moment.
"Pro tip, you won't need to worry about it if you keep yelling like that. I could hear everything and it could have been just as easily Karen at the door," she said blandly, giving them a stern look like she was telling off children.
She closed the door behind her and walked into the room with a sigh.
"Tell him, Daphne. He needs to tell Karen the truth," Foggy pleaded.
"I think Daphne would agree with me on this," Matt bit out.
"Hey! Whoa! I'm not getting in the middle of this," she muttered with her hands raised. They started arguing again and she couldn't even make out what was being said in all the noise.
"Shut up!" She bellowed. Deathly silence took over the room as they both looked her way.
"Sit the fuck down. Both of you," she ordered hotly. She expected them to argue as they went back to glaring at each other for a moment, or as much of a glare a blind man could give, but then they reluctantly sat down.
She stomped over to the desk, turning around and perching herself on the edge of it.
"What exactly do you think will happen when Karen finds out the truth, Foggy? You think she's just gonna be like 'okay' and move on? She's gonna be pissed. She's not gonna see it as you guys trying to keep her safe. All she's gonna feel is the betrayal of the lies. There's a big chance she won't talk to you both for a while. She believes in Daredevil, she'll come around once it wears off. But that initial sting is gonna cause some shit, so I hope you're ready for that," she explained seriously. He looked torn up and glanced at his hands in his lap at her words.
She turned to Matt then who was sitting with his mouth set in a grim line.
"I get why you kept it from her, and eventually she will too. But the longer you keep this from her the worse it'll be. I know it's not something to take lightly. Once you tell her, you can't go back. But there's gonna be a line you cross where she won't be so understanding about lying if you keep it from her for too long. And it would be better if she hears it from you instead of finding it out some other way," she muttered.
"That didn't help at all. You're saying if we tell her she'll be pissed but that we should tell her?" Foggy frowned.
"I'm saying you both need to grow up and deal with this like adults. Talk it out and work a compromise. Karen deserves to know the truth but you need to do it right and make sure Matt's ready for it," she glared.
"Matt's never gonna be ready for it! I'm not just gonna sit here and keep this secret, I didn't sign up for this! And I'm not gonna sit here and take advice from an emotional mess like you!" Foggy yelled at her. She felt a punch to the gut at his words, genuinely shocked by his hostility towards her.
"Hey! Don't talk to her like that," Matt warned, his jaw tense.
"Oh right. I forgot it's only okay if you do it," Foggy sneered cruelly at him. Matt stood up looking ready to take a swing at him. Daphne felt her anger go from simmering to boiling and she slipped off the desk and stepped closer to Foggy.
"You know what, Foggy? Fuck you. I get you wanna tell her, that you don't like lying, but it's not black and white here. And you did sign up for this. You told me about what happened when you found out the truth yourself. You chose to come back, to be the best friend again. You chose to stick around, so you don't get to sit there and throw it back in his face when you feel like it! You don't forgive someone just to dangle it over their head later! That’s called being a shitty fucking friend! You're either in or you're out with this, there is no in between! So maybe you should pick a damn side and get your head out of your ass instead of blaming Matt when you chose to be here!" She roared. Foggy looked genuinely taken aback by her ferocity but she didn't stick around to hear him be an asshole.
She pushed passed him roughly, storming out and slamming the door behind her so hard she heard it rattle. She was fuming as she stalked down the street. She wasn't exactly Matt's biggest fan and she loved Foggy, she really did. But she wasn't going to sugar coat shit with him when he was playing victim. Foggy had decided to stick around and it rubbed her the wrong way how he was acting with this. Like he couldn't grasp how much of a life changing big deal it was for his best friend. She told him how it was and it was up to him to decide what to do with her words. She honestly expected better from her friend. He’d really hurt her with his words and she wouldn't have expected that from him of all people. It was uncalled for.
After wandering the streets to calm down, she got out her phone to call Karen. She hadn't been around and she hadn't gotten the chance to ask where to find her. And as awkward as it might be after the argument she'd just had, she still liked Karen and needed her help. Mrs Grimes had told her the dresses might need some alterations so she didn't have time to waste since the ball was two days away. After a few rings, she picked up.
"Daphne, hey!" It sounded like she smiled down the phone.
"Hey! Are you busy?" She asked, shaking the shitshow she'd just been involved in away from her. She didn't have time for their drama.
"I was just dropping something off at the Bulletin and then heading back to the firm," she explained.
"Could I steal you for a bit? I need help with the whole ball gown debacle and I could really use your advice," she asked hesitantly.
"Sure! It sounds like fun. I'm almost done here if you wanna meet me?" It didn't sound like fun but she didn't correct her.
"Alright, I'll be there soon," she hung up after and made her way to the Bulletin.
Before long, the pair were standing outside of La Grande Vie and Daphne was filled with dread. The people milling around inside the store were all well dressed and although Karen somewhat blended in with her formal wear, Daphne stuck out like a sore thumb in her boots, jeans, plain tee and hoodie. Her purple hair in a messy high pony. She blinked up at the sign for a moment, wondering if it was too late to just tuck tail and run.
"Fuck. I feel like I'm in Pretty Woman or something," she grumbled miserably.
"Something you're not telling me?" Karen smirked. Daphne snorted and shook her head, biting back a whine as Karen grabbed her hand and all but dragged her in the store.
An older man in a silk, pink patterned shirt came up to greet them with a warm smile.
"Hello, welcome to La Grande Vie, my name is Louis. How can we help today?" He asked with a French accent. He seemed genuinely nice but Daphne didn't miss the curious glances he kept sending her way.
"Uh… Mrs Grimes sent me… for the ball gown?" She phrased it like a question, like she was unsure if she should even be here. His eyes lit up as he clapped, looking overjoyed.
"Of course! Ms Weaver, welcome, welcome! And who is your lovely friend?" He asked with a smile, looking at Karen who blushed slightly.
"I'm Karen. Moral support," she smiled shyly. The man laughed a little, no doubt in understanding. It didn't take a genius to figure out this was Daphne's first rodeo.
"Please follow me, we will select some dresses we think suitable, but you will get to decide which you like most," he said as he ushered them to the back of the store. There were some thick black curtains and he walked through them, the girls in tow, to reveal some kind of private back area. There were plush looking seats and a changing area behind another curtain. It was all so fancy. Louis gestured for Karen to sit which she did but then he stood in front of Daphne, seemingly examining her from head to toe. She felt her cheeks flame red at the scrutiny and Karen shot her a wry smirk.
"I have some dresses in mind to go with your beautiful complexion and fun hair. You are a wild one, yes?" He asked with a knowing grin. Daphne snorted, lowering her head.
"She most definitely is," Karen piped up amused. Louis rushed off acting as if Christmas had come early for him. Daphne moved to sit and wait with Karen. Just as she was about to remark on how out of place she felt, a beautiful woman walked over with a tray, champagne flutes resting atop of it.
"Drink, ladies?" She asked with a polite smile.
"Thank you," Karen said and the pair took one each. Daphne's was gone in seconds.
"Okay! Let's begin!" Louis beamed as he walked back in, clapping his hands. There were a few girls, all as equally beautiful as the last, following him with dresses. She felt like a troll next to them. The ladies ushered her in the very roomy changing area, closing the curtain behind them.
"Are you ready for a fashion show, Ms Karen?" She heard Louis ask from the other side of the curtain.
"I am," Karen giggled in response. Her friend was having far too much fun with this.
Daphne wasn't sure what she hated more. Shopping in general or dresses. But by the time the girls were getting her into her 6th dress, she was ready to give up. All of the dresses had been beautiful but she was under no illusion that any would suit her or that she'd like them. But she didn't have to like them, they just had to be lavish enough for her to blend in at the fancy ass ball. But Karen and Louis seemed to have other ideas and had no issues with telling her no when they didn't think one hit the mark.
One of the girls zipped the dress up for her and she glanced at herself in the mirror. This one she liked the most. It was simple yet at the same time ridiculously pretty. It was a rich black colour, a velvety texture that was soft to touch. It had small off the shoulder sleeves with a v cut out the middle to create a harsh, deep sweetheart neckline. It clung to her body tightly, dipping into her small waist before flaring out dramatically in princess-y style. It was hard to picture the full look though with her hair and make-up done.
The girls helped her into the simple black wedges. She'd been firm on the fact she couldn't walk in normal heels and Louis had picked these for her. The curtain was pulled back in the same dramatic flourish as the last billion times, but instead of Karen and Louis giving her a scrutinising gaze, Karen looked pleasantly shocked, covering her mouth and Louis stood up beaming.
"This is it! This is the dress, is it not?" He glanced at Karen to back him up and she nodded.
"Wow… Daphne, this is just… this is the dress," she murmured in awe. Daphne blushed, shifting on her feet. This day had been weird from start to finish and it wasn't even over yet. It felt weird to be looked at so closely by anyone and the spotlight was firmly on her.
"Alright. I'll take this one then," she smiled with a shrug. She'd been waiting to say that with all of them but she did feel a pang of reassurance at their reactions this time around.
Louis ended up taking measurements from her so he could alter anything needed and said the dress and shoes would be sent to her apartment the next day. After Louis' dramatic but endearing goodbyes, the pair finally left the store and Daphne could finally breathe.
"Glad that's over," she snorted, the pair walking arm in arm. They'd been in there so long that it had started to go dark.
"It wasn't so bad," Karen smiled at her.
"Easy for you to say. You were spectating," she muttered with a playful glare.
"The dress really is something though. You'll be the belle of the ball," she teased, getting an eye roll from Daphne.
They both said their goodbyes with Karen saying she would come over the next day to do her hair for her and help her get ready. Daphne was grateful for the support. They ended up getting in separate cabs to head in their different directions. Daphne's was home. Today had really taken it out of her and she needed to rest up for the impending doom of the ball. Once again, after sleeping with Matt, her nightmares had gone. She knew they'd turn up again eventually but she was enjoying actually being able to sleep while it lasted. Once home, she got ready for bed and snuggled under her blankets with a sigh.
She kept thinking of the fight with Foggy and Matt and it made her feel sad. She hated that they were fighting, it was so weird. They were best friends, Nelson and Murdock. They shouldn't be acting this way with each other. And she couldn't deny that she was hurt with how Foggy acted with her. She said she didn't want to get involved but they'd dragged her into it anyway. All she did was tell the truth and he'd been an asshole to her. Something she expected from his counterpart, not him. Matt hadn't snapped at her, he'd even got mad at Foggy when he was a dick to her. They seemed to have swapped roles and she didn't like it. She had no idea what Foggy would choose to do and it made her nervous for Matt. No one really knew just what the consequences would be of telling Karen and it was a big deal. She didn't know what would happen to their friendship if Foggy went through with it or if he'd even stick around anymore.
She frowned as she lay there. There was a reason why she didn't make friends or connections and this was it. She felt like there was always some drama or something to stress about in her personal life. Yet she couldn't remember what it was like when she was alone and she was sure she wouldn't want to go back. That's why she was so worried. Depending on what Foggy chose to do, her life would become very different and she'd only just gotten used to it how it was now. She fell asleep out of sheer exhaustion with her mind spinning from uncertainty.

//Oops that took a while phew, thank you <3
Munday Asks
17 "What was your first muse?"
I guess other than warrior cats and one other oc that werent necessarily mused, it'd be Dipper Pines (regular and most of his aus). I ended up really deep in the Gravity Falls Amino and I ended up in many of the rps defaulting to him for other friends and rpers til I became known for it to an extent gjfjdk. I did a couple other GF charcaters but mainly him in my friend groups.
19 "Do you have ship bias?"
I'll be honest I have no clue what this means. :v If its about writing a ship with someone and their muse, it mostly depends on chemestty and if I know the mun at least a little and if its fun to write. (Ex, I haven't written any real Monix even tho its cute despite having Fox talk to a few Monos here and discord, but have written thinlady with @/gecsha and already otp'd it. I also liked Sevix but wanted SK to want nothing to do with Six in even a friendly regard, but me and @/raincoatnightmare became friends when we were writing and it was funny and cute plus added further character into SK that I like (also now lordlady supremacy ty ty). Or in another fandom, the only character I've written with a canon relationship (or semi-canon? ig its vague?) was Hero from Omori and even then it seems weird to jump into a ship with someone I havent spoken to so it would probably be more prominent with an rper I've talked to before even if its still there with strangers)
25 "Do you play smut? Do you play it only with characters you’re shipping with, or are you open for “one night stands”?"
27 "Are you interested into poly relationships for your muse?"
Tbh Ive (embarrassedly and probably poorly) written it with one other person before in a certain circumstance I don't wanna get into here that ended not-so-well but I'm too nervous to write that kinda thing with others unless we were really comfortable writing that in private. It would always have to be shipping and he's only really shipped with one muse and you already admitted to asking this so I hope youre happy embarrassing me now hfksfkjfkd (also off like you said only adults like SL)
It never starts that way and yet so often ends up like that fhsksl. For SL he's already in a cute poly ship in a verse so I'll say yes to that. Lady Fox hasn't really been written into anything at all yet and I haven't even considered any ship even my beloved thinlady for her so we'll see gjjdls. For puppy ships with the kids again idk
29 "What are your thoughts on your muses' canon?"
Sweats in divergent characters Well Six is really cool and honestly a fun character to watch go through things, I really like her and her clever survival skills even if she's not the most kind in some situations cough cough. I could write a whole essay on why I love her little differences between the other characters in idle animations, cutscene reactions, and her ai actions in LN2. And seeing her in both comic series + those LN2 cutscenes/ai, I like how despite it all its obvious just still just a kid who also enjoys time with others.
RK is honestly my favorite of the protags, little dude is hard (to the) core. I still hate the canon ending 💔 /hj. His specific idle animations we get to see are also interesting in the fact thet theyre a little different from Six's (the only 2 kids at the time). Seeing his interactions with the Nomes (Hideaway), Six (cancelled comic), and reaction to the Flashlight Girl (Depths), it's also neat to see his little personality shine through. I got the feeling he was almost hesitant to escape but went through anyway, and saw it to the end (even if it was his own end) and with all the stepping on coal and glass, hitting every obstacle in the way and still standing up straight, and being resourceful of those around him, and I can respect him. Also he's the only one who's had a chapter I would be too scared to go through if I had the LN mindset so good on him 💔.
36. "Do you feel similar to your muse in any way?"
With Fox I really feel that casual but anxious at any time feeling, and already projected a lot of my anxieties about memory loss onto her. I also just like foxes. (Ive only spent money on game cosmetics 3 times and one was the LN1 fox mask, another was yesterday $10 on an almost useless fox plush on Sky: CotL fhdjsk but hey whats important is invisible to the eyes).
With SK I can feel the "listens to an echo chamber for emotions" sometimes, and holding onto things stubbornly. It's quite easy to write him as I don't like admitting certain things either and deny deny deny, but that makes SL a little harder to make him romance fbdksk.
With SL I do really feel that overprotectiveness and envy in some things, he might be waaay exaggerated ofc but it's there. Im also a big self blamer.
37 "Do you feel different from your muse in any way?"
With Fox I'm much more social, I do like hugs and physical touchs and talking even oversharing cough just look at this whole post whereas she'd very reserved and quiet about her feelings 99% of the time.
With SK I can't really find it in me to hold a grudge that well. I can think back and get annoyed that some teacher or other kid or family member did some bad thing to me in the past, or say "so-and-so hurt me yesterday", but I can't hold it as just hate for long and see it differently. There's very few people I'm having trouble forgiving and forgetting, and they'll never be allowed near my family if I can help it.
With SL I can't say I'm in a good position if I'm in charge. I can be a good right hand or lower ranking moniter/manager, but being the head is too much pressure and depressing. He seems to be doing just fine both on his own and with his wife and/or husband.
38 "What's the best inspiration for your muse?"
Mostly jokes and random ideas with my friends! Some of the best plots I've had personally were turning a romance/ship joke into angst for pain, or angst into romance as hurt/comfort. Ofc music also helps but this is the best!
39 "What's a song that reminds you of your muse?"
I have a whole playlist so let me think of some that only or mostly involve that character and their feelings.
Fox/Six- Again
SK- Cradles
SL- KING

My own Rant on Mari//bat
Originally this was going to be part of the Controversial Ship Asks game, but after what happened, this rant is going to be its own thing.
Out of all the ml ships that pisses me off, one in particular is mari//bat or Damin//ette.
I just can’t see Marinette be with someone like Damian. I’m not knowledgeable about DC outside of the cartoons, but from what his fans told me about the character Damian is not what the shippers portray him. He’s pretty much Chloe/Felix levels of characterization. Does he have a soft side? Yeah. But even then this is not a character i can't see Marinette tolerate.
I’m kinda picky when it comes to shipping my favs, Especially in Marinette’s case considering her history with characters like him. Chloe and Lila, for obvious reasons, and Felix, whether it’s the PV or the canon version, is too much of a jerk for her to tolerate (The canon one especially since he tried to forcefully kiss her). And Damien is no exception.
I know I’m looking too hard at a crossover ship, which I wouldn’t mind, if its fandom wasn’t so full of salters.
And that leads to the second reason I hate this ship, the salt.
Most of the content is just salt stuff, especially related to Chameleon. Heck, it’s basically the same stuff I’ve seen in non-mari//bat related stuff (Adrien salt, Alya salt, Lila salt, Saltinette, class salt, spite shipping, etc.), just with the batman characters added. It doesn’t help that they have to warp the characters around, especially the batman ones, just to justify the ship happening and for people to live out their salt fantasies. Like giving Damian, Adrien’s personality and making Adrien pretty much a harasser/abuser.
If you don't know me I HATE the "Die for our Ship' mentality, where people would bash characters/ships to prop up their preferred ship. That right there is what gets me to not want to ship your ship. I hated it when luka//nette shippers do this, I hated it when mari//gami shippers d this, and I sure as heck don't like it when mari//bat shippers do this either.
And these guys would go off about how it is better than canon. When like, most of it has barely to do with ML nor DC at this point that you can just replace them with OCs and nothing will change. And as me and others have said before, they make it clear by cluttering tags with this ship and annoying us with their salt pairings. Sure, block the tags, but I did and even then they wanna get angry how were not allowed to express their opinion on it, yet they can do the same.
And inbf someone thinks I’m hating it for it because it’s not the Love Square, I’m not. I actually don’t ship it myself, not out of salt but for different reasons. And I’ll admit, I’m all for some crossover/crack ships. Heck, I even ship Marinette with Josuke from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. But even I’m not a fan of mari//bat.
Sure, opposites attract, but it needs to be in ways that fit the characters. Marinette is a good person who is surrounded by friends and family who care for her, regardless of how much salters want to deny it. She has her own issues, but it’s not in the way these salters portray them. She doesn’t need to be saved let alone be with a jerk like Damian.
Canon Marinette is too nice for Damian and I can imagine if she ever met him it would probably end the same way with what she did to Felix, a big punch to the face.
It’s kinda sad that a ship like this is popular, because it’s basically just nothing more than a pairing built on salt. I may not ship it but at least the Love Square, whether they like it or not, Adrien is a good person that treats Marinette well and it does bring out the goodness in both of them, regardless of what side you ship. It's not flawless, mind you, but it has its merits. Even Lukanette and Marigami, ships I loathe because of toxic salt shippers, have their merits outside of salt as well. Mari//bat has none of that. It’s popular because of salt. It gained its wings (no pun intended) because of salt. And honestly, if ml salt wasn’t as big as it was today it probably would have been a forgettable crossover ship.
I’m not here to say stop shipping mari//bat or put down people who like the ship. I know some who do genuinely ship them outside of salt and they are allowed to ship and be happy their ship made it to the top 100. People can do what they want. I just don’t feel like this ship deserves the praise it gets between how unfitting both the characters are, the salt, the OOC-ness, etc.
I can think of way better crossover ships that would fit Marinette better. Like my aforementioned ship with Josuke, Steven Universe, or even with Miles Morales.
Like I just wish there were more ML crossovers that weren’t done for the sake of salting on the show, especially as someone who genuinely likes crossovers and crossover ships.

NS.FW Kid/OC Scenario: The Old-Fashioned Way
"Remind me again why I can't just use my Devil Fruit to make us both orgasm instantaneously?" Minerva crossed her arms while she looked up at Kid from his bed. He was at the door to his quarters, locking it to prevent any of his other crewmates from interrupting him--well, interrupting the two of them.
The first time he'd tried to make a move on Minerva, she'd returned his sloppy kiss and used her Devil Fruit to stimulate his brain as she ran her fingers through his hair; just as he'd started to unbuckle his belt, he'd felt an orgasm jolt through his body out of nowhere, causing him to fall back and nearly black out from the sudden-yet-pleasurable shock. When he managed to form words again and ask what the hell she did, she simply shrugged. "I figured we could save time if I simply gave you an orgasm now," she'd replied matter-of-factly. "Why spend a long time trying to get to a result that I can give you instantly?"
Kid had stared at her, confused. He'd appreciated how efficient she was as a crewmate, but...come on, part of the fun in fucking was the buildup to it! Yanking clothes off each other, leaving all sorts of marks on each other, making her voice get louder and louder as she begged for him to make her cum…
From then on, any time he'd tried to sleep with her, she'd cut him off by making him cum instantly using her Devil Fruit and then continuing about her business. After a month of this, he'd decided he'd had enough and had pulled her into his quarters, leading to where we are now.
Kid strode over to her and threw his coat off onto the floor before scooping her up in his arms. "Because," he insisted, kissing her neck as she shivered and tried to stifle the pleasurable sigh coming from her lips. "I'm sick of cumming in my pants all the time when you do that weird brain thing. And I wanna show you how fun fucking the old-fashioned way can be."
Minerva raised an eyebrow as he tossed his metal arm aside on top of his coat. "Eustass, you're going to scuff your prosthetic if you toss it so carelessly," she scolded. His remaining hand traveled lower and lower to cup her backside. "How many times have I--"
Kid cut her off with a rough kiss that muffled her surprised squeak and the moan that came afterwards. Minerva wondered if all embraces between couples were so primal as his tongue snaked around her mouth; sometimes it felt like he was trying to eat her face whenever he kissed her, and this time was no different. When he pulled away to bite at her neck and collarbone, she felt lightheaded and laced her fingers through his hair. As nice as this felt, she didn't want to spend time doing something so "frivolous" when she could be doing something more productive on the ship.
Just as she was about to use her Fruit, Kid swiftly pinned her arms above her head and towered over her. He used his own Devil Fruit to keep her pinned with his prosthetic metal arm while his other hand tilted her head up to face him. He frowned at her disapprovingly. "Oi, what did I just say? No brain shit this time," he said. "Never thought I'd have a chick get me to say this, but I actually want to take it slow."
Minerva rolled her eyes, but there was a small curious smile that turned up the corners of her lips. Truth be told, she'd never done this the old-fashioned way before; it would be interesting to explore something new, even if she wasn't so used to learning something in such a "hands-on" way. She relaxed her arms and looked up at Kid. "Alright, alright," she conceded. She shifted her weight and pursed her lips. "But if we're doing this, I want to be the one to take off my clothes. Knowing you, you'd just rip them off."
Kid smirked and released her arms and kissed her neck again, and Minerva bit her lower lip as he traveled down to her chest. She reached down and removed her blouse, revealing a simple dark bra underneath. He cupped one of her breasts and felt her breath hitch as her nipple hardened through the fabric. "You know me pretty well," he teased. Before Minerva realized what he meant, he hooked a few fingers underneath the center of her bra and easily tore it, exposing her bare breasts.
Minerva's mouth dropped and she glared up at him while smacking one of his shoulders. "I specifically told you not to tear my clothes, you brute--Ah!"
Kid cut her off when his tongue swirled around one of her pert nipples, and she moaned at a higher pitch than before. His other hand lazily kneaded her other breast, and he felt her hips rise up a bit as she rocked against him. "You say I'm a brute like it's a bad thing," he said with a smirk. He quickly undid his pants and Minerva followed suit by tossing her ruined bra aside and shimmying off her shorts, leaving her in a pair of noticeably damp underwear. She glanced at the tent in Kid's boxers and her face flushed as he palmed himself a bit before leaning down to prod at her underwear with his fingers. "See? I told ya this was better," he said smugly. He pulled her undergarments aside, and when he pushed one of his calloused fingers inside of her, she gasped and sighed. Her own hands ghosted over her breasts as Kid explored her with his fingers, and her hips rocked back and forth.
"Ah, Eu-Eustass," she murmured, clenching her thighs in anticipation every time his fingers curled and grazed a particularly velvety spot inside of her. She knew enough about anatomy to realize just where he was focusing, and one of her hands trailed down to her clitoris to add even more stimulation. "Right there, p-please…"
Kid smirked and nudged her hand aside, and she whined in frustration. Why would he not want her to focus there? When he quickly leaned his head down to circle her sensitive button of flesh with his tongue, she forgot any sense of annoyance or indignation as she bucked her hips; her own strokes had been soft and feather-light, and the sudden roughness of his tongue against her left her seeing stars. Normally he wouldn't care about getting a lover "warmed-up" before fucking them, but...Minnie was different. She wasn't a fuckbuddy, and the whole point of this was to show her how satisfying sex could be when you took some time.
Even if his oral technique was sloppy and all over the place, he definitely didn't hear any complaints from Minerva. She'd used her Devil Fruit on herself countless times before when she needed to relieve some stress, and was familiar with the burst of pressure and pleasure that came with an orgasm. Still, this newfound sense of pleasure bubbling up inside of her was new; she'd experienced a climax before, but this sense of buildup and tension coiling in her was brand new. Even if it was taking longer to reach that inevitable conclusion, these new sensations left her breathless as she begged for him to keep going.
As he pumped three of his fingers inside of her while his tongue swirled around her clit, she snaked her fingers into his hair and dug her nails into his scalp. The sensation made him moan against her, and her eyes rolled back slightly. "Eustass," she panted, "I'm s-so close to...Ah, please, keep...Oh, Eustass…"
For someone who was normally so eloquent, she was having trouble stringing a full sentence together. Kid chuckled to himself and slowly removed his fingers from her aching cunt. Minerva let out a desperate shiver, and her already-warm cheeks felt even hotter when Kid wiped her juices off of his chin before licking his hand clean, refusing to break eye contact with her. Normally she would have been embarrassed at such a shameless display of lewdness, but all she could think about now was how empty she felt without his hand inside of her. She bucked her hips impatiently. "Eustass, please," she sobbed, reaching up to grip his hand and bring it back down to between her legs.
Kid slid off his boxers, and Minerva's eyes widened as she looked down at his cock for the first time. It was a bit odd that she'd made him climax so many times in the past without ever seeing a glimpse of it, and she hadn't realized just how large it was. "Y'know, usually I hate when ya call me 'Eustass' instead of Kid like everyone else," he muttered with a small devilish smile. She looked up eagerly at Kid, and as he lined himself up with her entrance she felt the head twitch slightly. "But hearing ya say it like that isn't as annoying as it usually is." He leaned down to kiss her, and she gasped through her nose as she tasted herself lingering on Kid's tongue. He stroked himself as he kissed her, wanting as much lubrication as possible to avoid making her hurt too much when he finally entered her. Keeping himself from just shoving his dick inside of her was torture, and he growled impatiently a bit as he tried to restrain himself; self-control wasnt really in his nature, but he knew it'd be worth it in the end.
Minerva wrapped her arms around him to pull him closer, and she let out a small shivery giggle. "If it bothers you so much, we c-could compromise then," she teased, stroking his back with her fingers. "Why don't I call you...Captain?"
Kid stared down at her, and that dam inside of him broke the moment he heard her call him 'Captain'. He entered her with one slam of his hips, and Minerva gasped sharply before moaning at this newfound sense of fullness. His pace was fast and rough, and to his surprise she wasn't asking him to slow down or be a bit more gentle; in fact, she was begging him to keep going. She gripped the back of his head with one hand and dug her nails into his shoulder with the other, and when he grabbed her hips just as harshly he felt her walls tighten around him. He left a series of bites and harsh bruising kisses on her neck and collarbone, and he relished in how her moans grew louder and higher.
"Fuck, you're so fucking tight," he growled, the head of his cock brushing against her cervix. Minerva hiked her legs around his waist, desperate for Kid to hit that particular spot inside her over and over again. As he thrusted into her at this new angle, he looked down at her expression. She was normally so cool and composed, but now...now, she was a mess. Her lips were parted as she panted and moaned every time he hit that sweet spot inside of her, unable to talk or even think about anything but the pressure building inside of her. Her eyes crossed a bit every time his cock met her cervix, and a trickle of her (or was it Kid's?) saliva fell down one of her cheeks. Her purple hair, normally neat and tidy in a ponytail, fanned out behind her and stuck to her forehead with a thin layer of sweat.
Minerva managed to realize in her cloudy haze that Kid was looking down at her, and the corners of her open mouth turned up into a small smile. Normally she'd be mortified to be seen in such a state, but with how good she felt right now, she didn't care at all about how foolish she might have looked right now. Her chest rose and fell as Kid's pace quickened, and she rocked against him to match his speed. "Mmm, Eust--ah, C-Cap...t-tain…" She blushed deeper as she said the 'wrong' name once again. "S-sorr--ah, C-captain…"
Kid used his Devil Fruit to reattach his prosthetic arm and push her thighs forward until he had her in a mating press, and he felt her walls get even tighter around his cock. He left another series of bruising kisses and hickeys on her other shoulder. "Call me whatever you fuckin' want, Minnie," he groaned, feeling himself getting closer and closer to cumming. "Fuck, fuck, you're so fuckin'..."
As he feverishly pounded into her over and over, she raked her nails against his skin and he made sure to look at her as he felt her getting closer to her own climax. "Eustass," she moaned, "I...I…" He slammed his hips against her as fast as he could, and he felt her tighten and squeeze around his cock as her voice became more frantic. "Eustass, y-yes, I'm about t-to--Oh, yes, Eustass, yes, yes, yesyesyesyesyes--Ah, fuck, Eustass~!"
He groaned loudly as he came inside of her, continuing to fuck her through her climax and his. A wave of pleasure roared in his ears and when it had finally subsided, replacing the sound of his own heartbeat with Minerva's heavy breathing and incoherent murmuring, he buried himself to the hilt inside of her and looked down at her again. Her chest rose and fell as she panted, and her eyes were half-lidded. Her face was flushed and radiated warmth like the rest of her body, and he could feel her hands trembling on his head and shoulders.
With his cock still inside of her, he guided her legs back down onto the bed and rested his head in the crook of her neck for a while. He sighed contentedly, almost purring against her. Minerva shifted around a bit underneath him, and bit her lip when she felt a small amount of Kid's seed drip out of her around his softening cock. "Er...Eustass…"
"Mmm?"
"Why haven't you...er...pulled out of me yet?" She wasn't used to having sex like this, and had no idea about what was typically done afterwards. Her anatomy and biology textbooks hadn't mentioned anything about what was typically done post-coitus.
"Feels good," Kid muttered. He nuzzled her neck, and she let out a small sigh of agreement. He felt his eyelids lower a bit, and he struggled to stay awake; he tended to fall asleep immediately after sex, but as nice as she felt around him, he didn't want to fall asleep while he was still inside her. A few minutes of silence later, he slowly slid himself out of her. Minerva's eyelids fluttered and she let out a small moan as she felt more of his seed trickle out of her now that she wasn't completely stuffed.
Kid groggily reached up with his arm and held her against him as he lay on his back, and Minerva rested her head on his chest. As he fell asleep, he absentmindedly stroked her hip and smirked. "See? This is way more fun than your brain thing," he said smugly.
Minerva let out a small "Mmm" to agree with him. "I admit, it has its...advantages," she said slowly. She rested one of her hands on Kid's. "But now I'm curious to see what would happen if we tried combining both methods." She cuddled up to him and smiled with her eyes closed. "I wonder what would happen if I made the two of us climax like this over and over in a short span of time while you're still inside me…"
The thought of that alone made Kid's cock instantly perk up a bit, and Minerva felt it poke against her backside. "Buuut, I'll save that for another time," she said with a smile. "We're both a bit too worn out for some of the experiments I have in mind."
Kid heard her breaths become more and more heavy, and so did his eyelids as he fell asleep with a small grin on his face. If this is what it felt like to fuck her before these 'experiments' of her started, he was more than happy to help out with her research.

The Scavenger. CH: 3 (Cobb Vanth x OC fanfic)
Chapter 3: The Search
simpFandom: The Mandalorian
Word count: 3636
Summary: Plog is searching from town to town for anything related to the missing Scavenger. The Marshal finds she is gone already.
A/C: If you havent read the first parts, they are here and here. Also you can check them on my wattpad
"I'm telling you, this is too much. I'm not paying for that piece of trash." The pale hooded man rose his arms and signed at the tiny hooded figure.
The Jawa just shook his arms and argued back that it was a fair price. It might be an old speeder but it works. He was trying to explain and then folded his arms, telling him to take it or leave.
Plog just frowned for a moment and handed him the bag with credits. The Jawa took the time to count it and shook his hand. He steps aside to let him check the old imperial speeder. The weapons were down but, it moved. For him, it looked like they put together whatever they found and just label it as imperial to get a fair price.
He muttered in his language and took off in the speeder.
He didn't like Captain Qod that much, yet, it meant protection for him. His gambling habits got him in a lot of trouble, Qod stood up for him in exchange for information. Plog was useful and sneaky to get intel from strangers or anyone. He knew everything about the town, what kind of drink you like, how many Hutts went around before they were all gone, even knew about the lone Jedi that years before helped that farm boy. He never saw them again.
Now, he was just an errand boy, looking for two bounty hunters and their prey. Probably they killed each other and tried to take the canister, who knows. There was a small chance that the woman was dead already. After all, it was the Captain's words to bring her dead or alive, he didn't care, he wanted back was his prize.
Plog wasn't exactly loyal to anyone but, he owed Qod, and the man was good at finding traitors and take them down personally, like the time he just threw one of his crew members out of the ship cause he giggled about his heist plans. Qod didn't like pranksters or jokers, he was serious with his matters. He had little tolerance for stupidity but, Plog a lucky card, he was silly and clumsy, yet, he was useful.
The first stop would be nearby towns, asking the right folks about two lousy hunters wouldn't be so hard. Those two weren't exactly low profile. They were loud, show-offs, always trying to demonstrate how strong they were, picking fights cause they could, ally with other hunters that were stupid enough to trust them and take the bounty from them. No honor amongst thieves.
But those stops would be useless. If those two are on the run, they would go to Mos Eisley's spaceport and take passage with anyone, leave with the canister forever. He hated the whole road to Eisley cause that meant problems; dust, Tusken Raiders, and long cold nights in the middle of nowhere. He loved the comfort and the luxury in the city that he disliked those dead areas and sleeping in the ground. That annoyed him the most.

...
The sunbeam made its entrance through the thin curtains aiming right at his face. The first rays were warm but not burning ones like the mid-day ones. He opened his eyes and quickly scanned the area. He studied the dirty white walls and dusty ground, the armor placed in a chair next to a helmet.
Cobb sat up and stretched a little. He had no idea how long he slept but it was time to start his duties. An idea bolted in his head and made him rushed to the room.
It was empty.
He sighed and shook his head, looking around last night's disaster; shattered glass on the floor, the bloodied and dirty bandages. He rubbed his temples to think.
Maybe it was the best if she was gone but he felt responsible for the girl. He was not a smooth-talker with strangers and worst, with women. He was rough with her and pushed too much. He didn't even ask if she was feeling better.
When you corner an animal, they jump on you, he thought. No reason why the girl snapped at him.
Cobb picked up the glasses and bandages, putting them into a small bin. Then, he fetched a clean shirt and tossed away the dirty one. He ran his fingers through the primitive like star-shaped scar with dots and hashes on his back. He hated every side of it, what it meant but, it was a reminder to keep fighting.
A knock at his door interrupted his thoughts and rushed to put on the long-sleeved shirt. By the entrance, there was a slim guy with a hat and big rounded shades. He had small scars over his cheeks. When the Marshal stepped out, full armor and everything, he waved at him.
"Morning Marshal! How was last night's watch?" Marc flashed a friendly smile and shook hands with him.
"Nothing new, son. Creatures chasing each other. Not sign of the Dragon yet." Cobb adjusted the crimson bandanna across his neck.
"That must be a good sign, right? Maybe it's gone."
"Or just hunting somewhere else. Anyway, is the list ready?"
Both men walked together across the town making their way towards the bar. Cobb could hear Marc talking but was not paying too much attention, he kept wondering if the stranger was gone, maybe lost in the dunes, limping away from Sand People, or worst, found by the large Dragon.
His mind kept drifting. He thought about his time as a slave, how the women had it worst than anyone. He hoped that The Mining Collective or the Red Key Raiders wouldn't find her. The whole idea of what they do to young girls just made him sick.
He felt bad for thinking that and worst for not being able to help her. Damn, he wished she would listen to him and understand he had no shady intentions.
"And we need fuel." Marc's voice finally made some sense and snapped the gruesome thoughts in the Marshal's head.
Cobb frowned thinking about it and he started to nod. Marc rose a brow noticing the lost gaze and rephrased again.
"For the speeders. And extra for the young lady, your guest."
"My guest?" Cobb said.
"Aye, she got up early. Limped around and waited for the old Weequay to open the joint."
Cobb tried to act as cool as possible and told Marc to look for him later. He would fetch a soup and get them ready to go. The Marshal made his way into the joint and scanned the area looking for her.
The young redhead was near the counter having lunch; blue milk and slices of Ahrisa. She dipped the bread in the liquid and took a small bite. She finally looked at the Marshal but didn't say much. Just gave him a slight nod.
Cobb tried his best not to smile, he was glad that she was still around.
"Everything ok, Marshal?" Weequay spoke at him while he poured down a drink and slid a wooden bowl for him.
The Marshal nodded, gulped down his morning drink, and then took the bowl. He noticed the bartender's uneasy eyes when he looked back at the young redhead.
"Is it safe to keep her around?" The old one lowered his voice.
"Just for a few days, pal. Let's give her a break." Cobb sipped from the bowl.
Nath just kept her gaze down her plate and didn't dare to look back at the armored man. She was shamed about her behavior but was too proud to apologize. She heard his footsteps approaching her and looked up at him.
"Thought you were gone." He flashed a pearly smile.
Nath just shrugged and looked away. "I was about to but I was hungry, so, I hopped my way out and got here."
"You know you could ask for help, kid."
"You seemed tired. I don't wanna give you much trouble." She took another bite from the bread.
"How's the leg?"
"Better, it hurts at times but it's not that bad."
"Good. I'll bring more bacta spray then."
"Going somewhere, Marshal?"
"Out of town to get supplies. Do you need anything?" He placed the bowl on the table like he was about to sit down with her. He gave it a second thought and stood still.
"Just the fuel. I was hoping to put together a speeder with whatever was left from the crash."
"Whatever you were riding is gone. The rest is with us."
"Are they working properly? Maybe I can check them for you cause I took some pieces from them." She tried to stand up but the leg stung at that moment. She cursed quietly and sat back.
Cobb chuckled and placed his hand over her shoulder while looking at her.
"Don't sweat about it, kid. I'm sure they are ok" He reached the bowl and sipped it while reading out her expression. She didn't say anything but after giving it a long thought, she nodded at him.
"Well, you should trust me on this. They are gonna break down before you exit the town." She took another bite.

...
The streets were packed with junk dealers and other black-market folks, trying to shove you whatever piece of trash droid or strange food they had around. Plog just kept walking between them, trying to keep them away from his pockets.
He wasn't exactly a flashy man but, these lowlives can't tell the difference and are willing to steal anything they can find.
The pale man was uneasy for parking the speeder outside the dirty joint, Jawas or other scavengers always stopped long enough to take a piece or two. If he needed intel about the bounty hunters' whereabouts, that was the only place where he could go.
A smoky atmosphere crashed his face, followed by music and indistinct conversations between the folks around. Some helmets looked back at him, just checking the new stranger. Others just ignored him, no one started for too long.
Plog just moved around to catch up with the Zabrak bartender. He had mean looks, a horned head but quickly asked him if he needed a drink. Plog slid the credits on the counter and, the Zabrak took them fast.
"What are you looking for?"
"More like who. I dunno if you saw these guys around." He took out a puck that flashed the hologram of the two bounty hunters. The Zabrak examined the blueish image and made a face.
"Yeah, those two were around a couple of nights ago. They go around like bounty hunters but ain't exactly from the Guild. They got a reputation for joining bounty hunters from the Guild in their quests. When they have the proper opportunity, they shot down the Guild member and take the puck. It worked the first two times but those two are stupid. While they were drunk, they didn't stay quiet about their achievements and got The Guild's attention. There's a price for their heads so, my best guess is that they must be dead by now."
"Do you know who they were tracking the last time?"
"Some old Quarren."
"Did you see a woman or someone else with any of them?" Plog said.
"Not, I mean, the Quarren met with different people that day, all of them male. He even cut a deal with a scavenger." The bartender paused while his thoughts drifted for a moment.
"Now that I think about it, I can't tell if it was a woman or not. He or she wore a long tunic and mask. But I remember that scavenger cause those two followed him after taking down the Quarren. It was strange they just left him there to follow him or her. "
"Anything peculiar about the scavenger? Did they come back?"
"I haven't seen them after that day and the scavenger, I didn't pay much attention, you know how they are. Carrying trash bags, stealing whatever they can. Arguing with Jawas. Nothing else." The Zabrak poured himself a drink and shrugged. "Maybe talk to the Jawas." He joked.
"Yeah, right. They are gonna rip me off." Plog shook his head and left the counter. He was running out of ideas.

...
Her body plopped under the biker speeders, checking the cable hitches, patching up the fuel tube, and reached a small screwdriver from her bag as she adjusts the loose shift gear. Fixing things always made her feel better in any situation. She didn't mind the heat, the sweat, or the oil stains on her clothes. What mattered to her was making the speeder work.
Basic 101 for scavengers was being able to take someone's trash and turn it into a decent vehicle. Stealing was allowed if you didn't get caught. Cantinas were the best place to wait for your next hit. There is always someone that gets too drunk and passes out in the middle of the street.
That was the chance to take the finest pieces fast as you could before others showed up. It was a never-ending battle with Jawas. They were always in groups and worked faster, but if a human was smart enough, it would take the best parts first and leave the rest for the little scoundrels.
Nath didn't think of herself as the best mechanic from her town but, she was a pretty decent one. She kept a low profile most of the time and no one bothered her when she put together speeders or podracers, only if they paid a fair price.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the approaching footsteps and a voice.
"Thirsty?" He spoke and stopped next to the bike. The Marshal looked down at the curious woman and shook a small bottle with water.
"You bet but, I wanna finish this." She peeked out to look at him and return her attention to the bike. Her hand tried to reach a wrench.
"You should take a break, kid." The Marshal lowered down to hand her the wrench and smiled at her.
She puffed her cheeks and rolled her eyes. "Told you, I'm not a kid." She took the tool from his hands. Seconds later, her hand reached out of the bottle.
"Where did you learn to do this?" His eyes studied the bike and the tools around the ground, followed by small pieces from other ships or speeders.
"I was raised by scavengers, learned a few tricks from pilots, and picked one or two things from Jawas." Nath sipped the water. This weather was unbearable at times.
"Ever thought about starting your shop?" He kept examining the items around and, picked something that looked like a knife. It had old blood or oil stain. He couldn't tell by the color.
"It crossed my mind but I didn't worry too much when I worked f..." and she paused before she gave away something else. "Business is hard, you gotta commit yourself to one place and it's not my style."
"Staying in one place is not that bad, at least you can call it home." He shrugged and looked at her working.
"I'm not sure about that. I've been moving around since I was a kid, so home is not exactly something I look for."
"We all need one at some point."
"Not when you are being hunted down." She muttered to herself and tried to change the conversation. "What about you? Why Marshal and not bounty hunter if you have that armor?"
"Long story. But killing for pleasure is not my thing." He admitted.
"And killing in the name of the law is?" She chuckled.
There was a small silence, Cobb kept a serious expression and smirked.
"If they pull, I put them down." He said.
"So, you made your own rules for this town?"
"There's not much to follow, just don't step over your neighbor kinda thing. We look after each other."
"That's interesting. From where I come from, you have to watch your back all the time. I guess that's why I'm not made for places like this."
"You can't tell if you haven't tried it"
"Are you asking me to stay, sir?"
"I'm just saying."
"Sure." She flashed her tongue at him and kept her head down under the bike. Then she groaned when the oil leaked down her clothes and hands. "Dank farrik!" She yelled.
The Marshal chuckled and shook his head. He reached for an old rag to hand it to her. She snatched it from his hand to clean her dirty face.
He couldn't help himself to think that she looked cute with the dirt and oil stains across her fair skin and flushed delicate face. The contrast between those two ideas got him thinking but scratched the idea off his mind when the pale gaze met his.
Her eyes had a peculiar way to look at someone. This time they were friendly, curious about him, unlike last night. He swore that those soft blue eyes were cold and sharp with him, just like ice or whatever it looks like. He never got the chance to leave this planet, but he knew stories about those other worlds and snow.
Nath crawled out from under the bike and thumbed up at him.
"Ready to go, Marshal." She smiled at him.
"Thanks. And you can call me Cobb, you know."
"Well, I like calling you Marshal." She teased him. Cobb chuckled and held out his hand to help her.
She pulled herself up with a swift move but bumped her chest with him. His first reaction was to hold her still and not let her fall. She rested her hands over his chest. Their gazes lock for a moment and they froze right there.
Being close to him allowed her to see his features a little better. Even though his hair was grey already, he didn't look old. She thought that he was trying to look older than he was. She found herself studying his features again. Even breathing was something she didn't dare to do.
Cobb noticed a few looks from the locals and quickly moved his hands away to give her space.
"Good work, kid. I think the boys and I are ready to go." He excused himself and smiled at her.
The redhead smiled back, dusted off the sand from herself, and took the bottle from the ground. She took a large sip to refresh from the heat.

...
The tiny hooded figure just kept studying his speeder and nodding vigorously. He signed those pieces he wanted and, Plog just rolled his eyes. He looked around many times, making sure no one else was watching him with the group of Jawas and took out the small puck. He displayed the image of Nathsca and, they yelled gibberish in anger.
His jawaese was pretty bad yet, he understood briefly that the woman was around taking what rightfully belonged to them, that she had no reason to be a scavenger. They saw her taking off. She left behind most of her belongings but, she clung to an old silver canister. They wanted the canister. It was shiny.
Plog shook his head at them and quickly kept the puck back in his pockets. He paid the tiny hooded figures and pushed them away from his path. Some of them cursed at him but picked the pieces they wanted from the speeder.
A Jawa rushed after him and pulled his sleeve, Plog looked quite annoyed and folded his arms. "What now? I told you, anything you want but It needs to keep working."
The Jawa shook his head and signed at him while he whined. Plog squinted his eyes, listening to with attention, trying to put together all the ideas but he was pretty sure what the tiny one just told him. This was the first time that he met a Jawa that wanted something for himself.
"Off the map, you say?" He lowered to his level. The Jawa nodded as it explained quietly about the lost sandy areas in the west, an old mining place near a small town called Mos Pelgo. People thought it was gone, but this little guy saw the town; just farmers. When the speeders chase down the young scavenger, they were on the path to this town.
Plog slid a bag with credits for the little Jawa that rushed back with his kin but kept the bag for himself.
West. The unexplored dead area. He would go and tell the Captain with the risk of finding lone and empty dunes, taking the risk of getting attacked by the sand people, or worst, a Krayt Dragon. Qod was way scarier than the dragon. The dragon would eat you and, that was it. Qod would take his time to torture you before killing you.
The pale man jumped back in his speeder. He needed to get supplies, fuel, and a blaster. He thought about bringing muscle but, it was hard to trust anyone these days. Lone dunes or not, he was not gonna let some stranger or sand people take advantage of him. Shooting first and fast. Basic survival skills. He gave a second thought about bringing muscle.

jestermauk for the question thing?
send me a ship or character and i’ll tell you
001 | send me a ship and I will tell you:
when I started shipping it if I did: honestly that’s really difficult to pinpoint? i’ve always liked their dynamic ever since i started watching, but at first i mostly liked them platonically? and then it was a combo of seeing some really nice art that probably wasn’t even meant to be shippy in the first place and also the scene where jester gets the tarot deck, and i was overwhelmed with emotions about their relationship and somewhere along the way i was like “haha but what if they kissed” and then. and then.
my thoughts: they’re so underrated and so good? i honestly think they’d have the potential to be such a dynamic duo, two chaos-loving tieflings who love life and want to spread joy and chaos in the world. they have so much in common but have their differences as well and i just think they could be so fun!!!
What makes me happy about them: the fact that theyre just so fun!!! a big reason why they’re such a comfort ship to me is that they both have very light-hearted personalities!!!
What makes me sad about them: molly’s death in 26 ksfdjdkjfhgk (and even considering certain spoilery circumstances........hoooo boy i just hope nothing happens that’ll sink the ship for good. bls mercer we’re just a teeny rowboat,,,,,,)
things done in fanfic that annoys me: i kinda wish there were more g and t rated fics of them? of course, smut is great and i do pretty much consume nearly everything (emphasis on nearly) that gets put in the tag, but sometimes i just wanna see fic of them that isn’t just sexual you know? and in the case of smut i’m not a fan of making molly the more sexually aggressive one of the duo; i think they’d be pretty equal in that regard.
things I look for in fanfic: again i’d love to see more g and t rated fics of them! if there was a longfic of them i’d just about die of happiness. as of now since there’s so little content of them, i’ll read nearly anything with them (again, emphasis on nearly). but especially i’m mostly looking for them having that same sort of dynamic they do in canon, except with more kissing and cuddling. i also love seeing jester being the one to initiate something between the two of them! also aus, but i just love aus in general
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: for jester, i love beaujes and b/y/j a lot! caliester (aka cali/jester aka pen pal gfs) is also severely underrated. for molly, i think teacaddy could be pretty cute and interesting, and i think shadowmauk is neat. but in general i think i’m a bit more picky in terms of molly ships than jester ships
My happily ever after for them: i actually kind of have this fic idea where when other characters...i don’t think settle down is the right word, but when the other characters start to get their own places (like for instance i love the idea of caleb and essek opening an academy together), molly and jester still want to spread joy and chaos wherever they do, and why not do that together? so they set off on their own adventures, just the two of them (maybe joined once in a while by a friendly npc or guest pc, or sometimes another m9 member will drop by because they sure arent completely done yet!) spreading joy, causing mischief, and solving crime in their own chaotic way! anyway i think that would be fun and neat; i even made tiefling ocs for them to encounter even though i know i’ll never be writing this fic kdjhfdkjh
who is the big spoon/little spoon: they switch pretty often i imagine, but i’m extremely tickled by the image of jester being the big spoon because i imagine molly being a full foot taller than her and i just think it’d be so cUTE--
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: arts and crafts of course! they’re both painters and i can easily imagine both of them sewing as well; i just think they’d have a ton of fun creating art together--designing cards, clothes, and of course tattoos!

5 | Crankiness runs in the Family
Tumblr media
Pairing: Zuko x Ama (oc)
Word Count: 7000+
.☽☼☾.
The sky was clear, the oceans as blue as can be, and the day couldn't be more perfect. The group was going back to the Fire Nation from Hira'a. Returning with Zuko's mom and her family.
Kiyi and Aang were riding on one flying dolphin-fish beside the boat while Ama rode on another. All of them had the biggest smiles on their faces. Ama never rode on a flying dolphin-fish before. And she never saw any harm in trying new things.
She saw Katara wave at them from the boat, so she waved back, before setting both her hands on the dolphin-fish's back again to steady herself. She loved the feeling of the water spraying on her skin and smell of the sea.
"Kiyi! Come back!" A voice shouted. Ama looked over, seeing Ursa by the railing, shouting for her daughter. Zuko stood close by in his Fire Lord robes and crown.
"Don't worry, Ursa. She's perfectly safe with Aang." Ama heard Katara tell Ursa. Aang immediately flew off the dolphin-fish with Kiyi. Ama followed suit, water bending to get back onto the boat.
"I promise, Kiyi wasn't ever in danger." Aang assured Ursa while Kiyi clung onto Aang.
"Kiyi!" Ursa grabbed a hold of her daughter and held her in a close hug as she sat on the ground. "I can't lose you! I can't!"
"Let go! Let go!" Kiyi fought against Ursa. And when her mom did let go, Kiyi went straight to her dad and hid behind his legs. "Daddy, I wanna go downstairs!"
Ikem stared at his wife with concern. He picked up Kiyi and the little girl buried her head in his shoulder, facing away from her mother. "All right, honey. Whatever you want." Ikem carried Kiyi inside the ship.
Zuko sat next to his mom and put his hand on her shoulder. "Give her time." He assured her.
"I know. Not every little girl has to deal with her mother changing faces." Ursa rationalized.
"Ursa, I'm so sorry I worried you!" Aang jumped in. "But believe me, flying dolphin-fishes are among the gentlest creatures in the world."
"No, Avatar. I'm the one who should be sorry." Ursa held up her hand, refusing Aang's apology. "I'm embarrassed that I overreacted like that. Now, if you'll excuse me." The former Fire Lady stepped away from her son and Aang and stood by the railing to look out at sea.
"You shouldn't worry." Ama stepped next to her boyfriend, noticing his slightly furrowed eyebrow and frown. "Things are going to be fine."
"I know." He muttered, putting an arm around his girlfriend. "It's just been years since she's been back. I don't want her to feel uncomfortable or unsafe."
"She might at first. After everything your dad put her through. But she'll feel safer as time goes by." Ama told him honestly. Zuko nodded. There wasn't much he could do after all.
.☽☼☾.
The day went by and night time fell upon them. Sokka, Katara, Ama and Aang packed their things and loaded them on Appa.
"You guys are leaving already?" Zuko asked as he walked towards them.
         "Yep." Aang answered.
"Going back to Capital City is going to bring up all sorts of stuff for your mom, for Kiyi, for all of you." Katara started to explain.
"You need to figure it out as a family." Aang told Zuko.
"We'd just be in the way. Especially dolphin-fish riders over here." Sokka quipped, putting his arms around Aang and Ama and bringing them close to him.
"You guys haven't really had any bonding time yet, dragonfly." Ama said, getting out of Sokka's grip to step closer to Zuko. "This will be your chance."
"I guess that makes sense." Zuko sighed, saddened to see his friends leave so soon.
"What, you can't part with me for a week?" Ama teased, making the Fire Lord blush.
Zuko pulled his girlfriend in for a hug. "Just a week right?" He whispered in her hair so the others wouldn't hear how clingy he sounded.
"I promise. It won't be more than a week till we see each other again." Ama chuckled. When they pulled away from the hug, Ama leaned up to place a soft kiss on Zuko's lips.
"Oogies!" Sokka complained just for the fun of teasing them, while Katara and Aang just giggled.
Zuko pulled away as soon as Sokka spoke with an annoyed expression while Ama gave her brother the middle finger. Zuko turned his attention to the rest of the group, giving them all individual hugs.
"Thank you guys. For everything." Zuko genuinely meant it. He truly didn't know where he'd be without his friends.
"Happy to be there for you, buddy!" Sokka pat Zuko's back.
Once they were done with their goodbyes, the group got into Appa's saddle and took off. "We'll see each other again before you know it!" Aang shouted, everyone was leaning on the edge of the saddle waving down. "Yu Dao's inaugural celebration is in a week."
.☽☼☾.
A month had passed and not only had Ama not seen Zuko, but she hadn't even gotten a letter. She stayed with Aang and the others as they solved troubles from town to town. And if she were being honest, she missed it. Traveling to different and new places. She loved to meet the different people and learn their cultures.
But she didn't forget that she hadn't seen her boyfriend for a month. It wouldn't have bothered her as much if she knew why he didn't try to communicate.
At Ba Sing Se, Aang was leading a meditation with his Air Acolytes. The rest of the original members of Team Avatar finished their shopping and packed it all on Appa.
"Hey, sweetie! You guys done?" Katara asked as they poked their heads into Iroh's tea shop. All of the acolytes had left, so they assumed their session was over.
         "Just finished!" Aang exclaimed.
"Perfect timing! We just got everything packed on Appa!" Sokka pointed his thumb at Appa. They went further into the shop to bid their farewells to Iroh.
"Where are you headed?" Iroh asked them.
"To the South Pole!" Sokka said excitedly. "It'll be our first time back since the end of the war."
"We've been planning this trip ever since running into a couple of Katara's old friends at the Earthen Fire Refinery!" Aang added.
"They were right. We should've gone back sooner to help rebuild." Katara spoke.
"Plus, we'll finally get to see dad." Ama smiled, excited to see her dad after so long.
"And go penguin sledding!" Aang was excited to do the usual child-like activities he doesn't usually do as the Avatar.
"And eat some of auntie Ashuna's seal jerky!" Sokka's mouth was practically watering at the thought.
"What? You hate auntie Ashuna's seal jerky!" Ama chuckled at her brother.
"You mean I hated auntie Ashuna's seal Jerky!" Sokka corrected her. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."
"Ama, I didn't know you were going to the South Pole." Iroh stated, tilting his head in confusion.
"No, I was supposed to go with them from the beginning. Zuko was supposed to come with, but." Ama just shrugged instead of completing her sentence. She didn't want to look like it bothered her that Zuko sent no attempts to communicate.
But Iroh could still tell it made her upset. He pulled her into a comforting hug. "You know Zuko. He doesn't want to worry people. I've heard that there was some trouble in the Fire Nation." Ama just nodded as she pulled away from the hug.
"Thank you, Iroh." Ama gave him a fond smile. "I'll be sure to come back soon."
"Let's get moving!" Aang announced, already walking out. "Weather's perfect right now. If we hurry we can probably get to-" Before he could finish what he was saying, a red messenger hawk with the Fire Nation insignia flew down and perched onto Aang's shoulder. Taking out the message, Aang read over it.
"Aang, what is it?" Katara asked.
"It's from Zuko." Aang told them. "He needs me." Ama's heart clenched a little. Oh, so he can send Aang a message but not me?
"So," Katara had a disappointed tone. "You're going to the Fire Nation, then?"
"I think I have to." Aang replied. "Hey, why don't you guys come with me? I'm sure it won't take long!"
"It's spirit world stuff." Sokka pointed out. "When was the last time spirit world stuff didn't take long."
"And dad's expecting us." Katara added.
"I'll go." Ama stepped forward to stand next to Aang. "I don't like being kept in the dark."
Katara placed a hand on her boyfriend's shoulder. "You go help Zuko, Aang. Take Appa so you can meet us at the South Pole after things are settled."
"I'm sorry, Katara." Aang hugged the waterbender.
"Nothing to be sorry about. It just comes with dating the Avatar." Katara said sadly.
Once saying their goodbyes, Aang and Ama mounted the flying bison and headed to the Fire Nation. Ama kept her arms crossed as she looked at the passing clouds.
"Are you okay?" Aang looked over at her from Appa's head.
"He promised he wouldn't shut me out." The water bender said sadly. Aang frowned at her hurt expression.
"I'm sure Zuko has an explanation." Aang did his best to cheer her up. Ama just muttered a 'maybe' and moved to lay down on the saddle. She stared up at the sky, letting her eyes grow heavy to get some rest.
.☽☼☾.
The moment Ama and Aang walked into the meeting room, Ama felt like a huge boulder was flung at her. And she actually knew what that was like after the countless times of sparring with Toph. Actually, no. It felt worse than that.
Standing by the rectangular table was an older gentleman, looking like he was giving a presentation. And sitting at the table was a boy Ama had never met, Zuko, and Mai.
It wasn't like Mai and Ama had bad blood. But they weren't necessarily friends. When Ama met the Fire Nation girl after Zuko's coronation, she really tried to have a conversation, but Mai didn't seem all that interested in anything. Plus there was the jealousy that Ama did her best to ignore. And seeing Mai there after Zuko and she hadn't had any connection for a month definitely wasn't helping her green monster.
"Zuko!" Aang greeted happily when he and Ama entered the meeting room.
"Avatar Aang! Ama!" Zuko stood from his seat to greet the two. "Thank you for being her buddy."
"No problem." Aang assured him. Even through he would much rather be at the South Pole with his girl friend.
"Hey, waterlily." Zuko turned to her with a nervous tone.
"Oh, you know you fucked up." Ama pointed at his chest with a glare. Zuko's eyes were wide and his mouth agape. "I expect an explanation later."
Zuko nodded and them moved aside, revealing Mai. "You remember-"
         "Mai!" Aang greeted happily.
"Hello, Aang." Mai smiled at him. The airbender, unlike Ama, was able to make anyone like him with his cheerful attitude and grin.
"And this is Kei Lo." Zuko introduces the last man in the room. "Mai's boyfriend." Ama hated that her body instantly relaxed a little when Zuko mentioned that Mai had a boyfriend. "And finally, please meet Constable Sung. He's leading the investigation into the kidnapping." The last man in the room was introduced.
"I'm honored, Avatar." Constable Sung bowed.
"Nice to meet you, Constable-" Aang bowed back, but his mind back-tracked at what Zuko said. "Wait, kidnapping?!"
"Last night, my little brother Tom-Tom was taken by a band of dark spirits." Mai had a tone of worry and concern. And who could blame her. Even she shows enough emotion when it comes to family.
         "You saw them?" Aang asked.
"I fought them." Mai told him. "They were kemurikage."
         "Who?" Ama wondered.
"Dark spirits who supposedly haunt the mountains just outside my home village, I recognized them from stories my parents used to tell me." Mai explained. Ama had a frown. Usually fables told by parents were only meant to scare their kids. Not actually true. It wasn't making sense why these spirits would appear now.
"Several reports of dark spirit sighting came in from all over Capital City, though Tom-Tom was the only abductee." Constable Sung pointed at multiple areas on a map behind him.
"Constable, were these reports from-?" But Aang didn't get the chance to finish his question due to some ruckus in the hallway by the door.
"Get off me!" The voice of an older man grumbled at the guards and pushed aside the red curtain to enter the room. "My son's missing, and you're worried about Palace Protocol?"
"Apologies, Fire Lord!" One of the guards had a horrified expression as he poked his head into the room. "We asked him to wait, but-"
"It's all right, he's the victim's father. He ought to be informed." Zuko held up an arm to assure the guard that everything was fine.
"Mai! I should've known you'd be here!" The middle aged man, named Ukano, stomped to the raven-haired girl.
"Father." Mai sounded surprised, like she didn't know he'd be here nor that she wanted him here. Ama looked between the two. So this grumpy old man is Mai's dad? No wonder she's so dismal. The guy's a blowhard.
"This is all your fault, daughter." He pointed an accusing finger at her. "If Tom-Tom were still with me in our home, he would've been safe! I would've made sure of it." Mai was silent as she looked down at the ground in guilt. "You may hate me, but you know I'm right."
"Oh, come on!" Kei Lo interrupted the family dispute. "No house it safe from dark spirits!"
"You stay out of this, boy!" Ukano looked at the boy with hate, but also a tingle of betrayal.
"Please, everybody! Calm down!" Aang stepped between the two men with his arms on each side of him. "All this arguing isn't helping us find Tom-Tom! We need to put our heads together and figure out what to do next!"
"I'll tell you what needs to happen next!" He then turned his attention to Zuko, pointing a finger at him. "Our 'Fire Lord' needs to grow a spine! Everyone knows the spirit world begins acting up when the human world is weak!"
Zuko's gold eye's raised in surprise at the accusation. He had his own doubts about his own leadership and it was no secret that many of the citizens didn't like him on the throne either.
"No! That isn't how the spirit world works!" Aang disagreed. And his word should be more trustworthy as the Avatar, especially over some bimbo. "The balance between the human and the spirits has nothing to do with strength!"
"Show that you're worthy, Zuko." The man stepped even closer to Zuko. "Declare a curfew to keep your citizens safe! Then send out an elite task force to fight the dark spirits!" Zuko, put his hand to his chin, giving the plan some thought. "Take down just one of them and we'll show the spirits that humans aren't to be trifled with!"
"If that is your wish, Fire Lord, I'll begin gathering a Task Force. It may take some time, though." Constable Sung said.
"Don't do it, Zuko." Aang urged. "A curfew would just make some folks more fearful!"
"I have to agree with Aang." Ama crossed her arms over her chest and leaned on one leg. "Plus, how's a task force supposed to fight spirits? You can't use normal bending."
"Let's first figure out exactly what happened to Tom-Tom. Then we'll know what to do next." Aang suggested strongly.
"What the Avatar says makes sense." Mai agreed.
Zuko shut his eyes to think. He was conflicted. Here he was given two completely different pieces of advice, and he had it was his job to make the better decision. Mai's father came from a more offensive perspective, one that many of the Fire Nation citizens still had. Then he had his closest friends telling him that there was a different way of going about the problem.
As soon as his eyes opened again, Zuko sent Aang a thankful smile. "Wise advice, Avatar."
"This is ludicrous." Ukano raised his voice in anger. "You'd rather listen to some fool who knows nothing about the Fire Nation than one of your own citizens. As he talked he kept stepping closer to Zuko with a threatening look.
Ama had it with the angry old man and protectively stepped in front of Zuko. "I'm going to need you to step out." Ama's tone was authoritative and she gave Ukano a hard glare.
He glared back at her. "I refuse to listen to some snow savage whore." Everyone in the room gasped at his words. He'd been incredibly bold the entire time, but this was most definitely out of line.
"You have no right to speak to her that way." Zuko's said lowly and angrily. He stepped around Ama, getting dangerously close to Ukano. He would've liked to kill him on the spot. "Constable, please escort Ukano out."
Constable Sung nodded and started to lead Mai's father out of the room. "I knew it!" Ukano shouted. "You're unworthy of the throne, Zuko. You're an impostor!" Zuko's glare turned into a surprised look. Like the words coming out of Ukano's mouth clicked something in his mind. "Impostor! Impostor!"
Zuko turned around at Mai, who looked incredibly embarrassed of her dad. "Mai, when the New Ozai Society attacked me and my family weeks ago, was your father part of that?"
Mai was quiet for a moment, like she was thinking something over. "Not that I know of." When she said that Kie Lo looked confused, like they both knew something the others didn't.
Zuko hummed. "I thought I recognized his voice."
Aang butt in, already prioritizing Tom-Tom. "Mai, I need to know everything you know about the Kemurikage."
"I've already told you." Mai grumbled. "They're just an old legend."
"An old legend, huh?" Zuko thought. "Then I have an idea about where to find out more." He started to walk out of the room with a destination in mind. "Follow me." Ama and Aang were close behind, but Kei Lo an Mai stayed in the room to discuss something quickly.
"Are you alright?" Zuko looked over at Ama with concern while they waited outside the room.
"About what? The fact that my boyfriend didn't even send me a messenger hawk for a month or that I was just called a 'snow savage whore'?" Ama grumbled, putting her hands on her hips and glaring at Zuko.
"Whichever is bothering you the most." Zuko whispered. He didn't want to see her mad or upset, even though he knew he probably deserved it.
"A month." Ama spat out. "One minute you act like you can't even part with me for a week then the next you won't even speak with me? I understood you sending Iroh to the Yu Dao inaugural celebration, but then I heard nothing from you."
"Things have been busy." He justified with a shrug.
"That's not it, it takes 5 minutes to send a messenger hawk." The Water Tribe girl didn't get mad often. But when she did, you didn't want to be the one she was mad at. And Ama hated the feeling like she was overreacting, even if she weren't. This was why she tried to solve her problems before they escalated.
Zuko sighed. "When we first arrived, my family and I were almost assassinated by the New Ozai Society." He explained. "The last thing I want is for you to be a target. Especially, since you're-"
"From the Water Tribe." Ama interrupted.
         "Yeah." Zuko looked defeated.
"Oh for crying out loud." Ama scoffed. "We already talked about this when we went to find you mom. You promised not to do exactly what you're doing right now. You don't want me to worry about things, but Zuko, the thing that worries me the most is you shutting me out."
"Plus, I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself." Ama pokes his chest roughly. "Who was the one who took out Azula? Me. I can fucking blood bend."
"I know." Zuko sighed. He was so in the wrong. And he knew it. He opened his mouth to apologize but Mai and Kei Lo finally stepped out of the room. And as room as they did. Ama started walking to the entrance of the palace to leave, and she could feel everyone's eyes on the angry girl.
"Ama, you're going the wrong way." Aang's voice said, and it sounded like he was a little scared to say it, given the awkward atmosphere.
The waterbender did a sharp 180 turn and passed the other four again. "I knew that." She grumbled with her index finger pointed in the air.
.☽☼☾.
Appa landed at the front of the Fire Sages Capital Temple. In the dark, the temple looked majestic with the fire-lit torches decorating the dark walls. Zuko led the way up the stairs, walking with purpose.
"Whoa. What is this place?" Kei Lo marveled at the structure.
"The Fire Sages Capital Temple." Mai answered his question.
"You've been here before Mai?" Kei Lo wondered how she knew that.
"Once." Mai recalled. "An ex thought it'd be romantic to share a meal over the burial site of his ancestors."
"And he was right. It was romantic." Zuko looked back at them. He meant it to be more a quip than to be serious. Still Ama couldn't help but let her jaw drop in jealousy. She and Kei Lo looked at each other with the same face. The two knew nothing about each other, yet here they were. Sharing the same look.
Aang looked back at the two awkwardly, Mai and Zuko already stepping into the temple. "So! You guys! How about we, y'know-" He had no idea what to say. "Get goin on the, uh- Whatever it is we came here to do?!" With a quick breath in and out. Ama walked in, Kei Lo following.
"Great Sage Shyu!" Zuko greeted the sage close by the entrance. The old man was sweeping the floor, a chore no one finds exciting, so he grinned when he saw the Fire Lord approaching with the Avatar close behind.
"Fire Lord! Avatar! What a pleasant surprise!" Sage Shyu greeted.
Aang and Zuko both bowed before him. "So good to see you again, Shyu!" Aang said respectfully.
"I'm sorry it's been so long since my last visit." Zuko apologized. "Things have been busy."
"You know what Fire Sage Kaja used to say: the busier we are, the more attention we must pay to our interior life." Fire Sage Shyu pointed out.
"True, but-" Zuko tried to explain.
"My brother Sages and I recently revived a couple of old practices that may be of interest to you! In fact, I'm teaching a new meditation class that-"
"I'd love to hear more, Shyu - I swear - but right now, my friends and I need to get into the catacombs." Zuko hated to interrupt, but hey, they were all in a rush.
The Fire Sage sighed. "Of course." The old man walked to the middle of the temple, where a circular design with locks only a fire bender could open stood.
"Does the Fire Lord visit often?" Aang wondered. Everyone was standing off to the side to allow the Sage to do his thing.
"Sure. Sometimes for the view, sometimes for the dusty old scrolls in the catacombs." Fire Sage Shyu answered a bit bitterly. "Never for my meditation classes." He then lit 6 small fires around him onto the designed locks before punching to the ground. The center, where he stood, stayed still, but the designs split apart and moved to the side, revealing the downward spiral stairwell.
Aang and Zuko lit fires into their hands for light. Zuko led the group as they walked single file and Aang was in the back. As soon as they hit the bottom, the hallway was wider. The roof was curved and it looked like there was a very large creature's ribs decorating it. Based on the large dragon skulls that decorated the walls, Ama could only assume the ribs once belonged to a dragon.
"So this is where the Fire Lords are buried?" Kei Lo asked curiously.
"Yes." Zuko said in a serious tone. The catacombs reminded him of the last few generations of his family. Something he took no pride in.
"Reserve a place for yourself yet?" Ama asked. She knew she shouldn't, but the petty thought was there and the words came out without her consent.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Zuko turned around with a confused look but an angry tone.
"Oh calm down, Fire Lord Zuko. It was just a question." Ama spoke calmly, just to annoy him.
Luckily, Kei Lo interrupted the couple bickering. "Is that supposed to be Fire Lord Sozin?" He pointed at the large image of the old Fire Lord that was on the wall.
"My great grandfather, yes." Zuko answered. They all stared at it for a moment.
"Looks like a crank." Kei Lo said.
"Crankiness runs in the family." Ama sent a taunting smirk at Zuko. He sent her a glare and Ama quickly glared back. Quips like this were the usual little taunts that Ama and Zuko had, but given their current relationship situation, Ama meant it more harshly.
"So, how's this visit gonna help us, Zuko?" Aang grabbed his attention.
"Just follow me." Zuko grumbled, continuing to lead then down the passage. The left was a black and white mural with people fire bending, dragons, a sun, and other pictures. "Look at this." Zuko admired. "This mural illustrates the history of the Fire nation, including it's myths and legends."
        "Oh, yeah." Aang observed it.
Then, at the end of that hallway was the entrance Zuko was looking for. The fire emblem was on it and four metal dragon head fire locks at arms height. "But it all stops here?" Aang asked, talking about the brief murals of Fire Nation history.
"When Sozin came to power, he ordered the rest of this corridor sealed off, as if Fire Nation history began with him." Zuko explained.
"Why does it all stop here?" Aang wondered.
"He wanted access, just in case. You can still learn from the past, even if you officially deny its existence." Zuko answered. "I'm guessing we'll find a clue about the kemurikage behind that wall." Zuko pointed at the entrance to the next corridor..
Aang observed the tall doors for a moment before turning back to the Fire Lord. "You know, there's something just like this in the Sage's temple on Crescent Island! Zuko, if you and I send fire blasts into each of the dragon's mouths, the whole thing will open right up!"
"Worth a try." Zuko shrugged. The two stepped back and got into position to blast flames into two dragon mouths at the same time.
"Ready when you are." Aang said.
"You might want to stand back." Zuko told the other three.
"We're fine, thanks." Ama said dryly with her arms crossed and putting her weight on her right leg.
Zuko clenched his jaw. He knew what he did was wrong, but he really didn't know where all of Ama's rude behavior towards him came from. He didn't have time to talk to her about it, though. There were other things to worry over. So he focused his attention on the wall they had to get through.
At the same time, Zuko and Aang shot their flames into the dragon's mouths. But it didn't budge. "Let's go again." Aang suggested. And they did try again. And again. And again. And then a couple other times.
"Nothing." Zuko grumbled. The frustration in his voice was obvious.
"Huh. Maybe if we give it one more try-" Aang suggested again.
Kie Lo ran to one of the dragon heads and observed it with both his hands and eyes. "You've given it twenty tries already! My turn."
"I didn't know you could fire bend, Kei Lo." Aang commented, scared that he had offended Kei Lo in some way.
"I can't." Kei Lo said matter-of-factly then he turned to Mai with his hand out. "Mai, can I borrow four of your throwing knives?" Mai looked very curious at what he was doing, but handed him her knives. Kei Lo stuck the knives into the dragon's nose, fumbling around like he was looking for something. "If you had taken the time to study the dragons - instead of just blasting away - you would've noticed that the locking mechanisms aren't located in the dragons mouths."
"Wait, you gonna pick the dragon's noses?" Aang looked disgusted, despite the dragons being fake. "That seems awfully disrespectful. Not to mention gross."
"Babe, can you help me out." Kei Lo asked Mai, holding up two of her knives.
"Sure." Mai agreed and took the knives from his hand.
         "'Babe'?" Aang whispered to Zuko.
"You're not really one to talk, Aang." Zuko dryly said, referring to the 'sweetie' nickname Aang and Katara have.
Kei Lo held his arms around Mai, from the back, his hands holding her wrists in a guiding way. Her hands were in two separate nostrils of two different dragons. Ama would have laughed if her mind weren't elsewhere.
Am I over reacting? Ye- No! Zuko refused to talk to you. You're constantly worried about him and in return he just keeps you in the dark! I'm not some damsel in distress! And now with Mai here- wait. Is he jealous?
Ama's eyes traveled from looking at Zuko to his line of sight. He was looking at Mai and Kei Lo. But not in a jealous way like Ama thought. He was actually happy that Mai found something that could bring a smile to her face, something he could rarely do. Ama's tried to reason that he wasn't giving them a jealous look. But the things Azula said before were getting to her and her own jealousy wasn't letting her see things clearly.
"Give each a counter-clockwise twist-" Kei Lo instructed, he had his hands in two of the dragon's nostrils just like Mai. "- Now!" The two twisted teh knives at the same time and the giant door moved to the side to open.
"Well, look at that!" Aang ran ahead. "You were right, Zuko! The mural keep's going!" Aang stared at the walls.
"I'm impressed." Mai locked arms with Lei Lo and a smile on her face. "Any other criminal talents I don't know about?"
"Stick around. Maybe you'll find out." Even though they were already dating, Kei Lo flirted with Mai, sending her a sly wink.
Zuko walked faster to keep up with Ama's pace. "Ama, we need to talk."
"Why does that sound so familiar." Ama put her pointer finger on her chin like she was in thought. "Oh yeah, cause we always seem to 'need to talk' nowadays."
"Why are you being so cold?" He hissed. He didn't want to get angry at her, but she was pushing his limits. Her demeanor made him feel like he couldn't even hold her hand. He thought if he did, she would twist his hand and break it.
"I don't know, how about I ignore your existence for a month and then you can tell me how you feel." Ama had a fake excited tone. But she rolled her eyes once she was done talking.
"Well if you were mad at me then why even come?" Zuko questioned. "And why defend me when Ukano was being threatening?" Ama huffed and crossed her arms.
Because I miss you. Because I care about you. Because I love you.
"Because I needed an explanation. And all I got was a lousy excuse." Ama told him. What she said wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth.
"Come on, waterlily. I apologized." Zuko begged. He just wanted to hold her hand. To feel her soft, cool skin against his rough, hot skin. He loved every part of her. Each emotion and each expression. But not when she was hurting.
Ama stopped at the intersection for the next corridor and looked at him. Her mouth was agape and her eyebrows pinched together. "No, Zuko. You didn't apologize." Zuko's eyes widened and thought back. Trying to remember if he did. But he didn't and he just realized. Ama left him standing there and followed the group ahead. "Oh, look, more of Zuko's cranky ancestors." She said loudly for him and the others to hear.
"They don't all look cranky." Aang defended Zuko, holding his fire up to one of the murals. "This guy's more... stoic." Aang looked over at Zuko who made his way to the front of the group. "How many Fire Lords were there?"
"I'm not sure. The history books I studied as a kid all began with Sozin." Zuko replied, looking at the first man painted on the wall. "But I bet this is the first one who united the Fire Islands.
"Guys, I think I found what we're looking for." Kei Lo called them over, and everyone crowded around him and the mural behind him. "The spirits who kidnapped Tom-Tom – that's exactly what they looked like!" The mural behind them had dark ghost-like figures and terrified looking people painted on.
         "The kemurikage." Mai muttered.
         "Creepy." Aang commented.
Ama figured that the mural wasn't enough and moved away from the group. There was a little compartment that looked kinda like a house and inside was a scroll. "And this must be their story. Can I get a light Aang?" She asked, pulling the red scroll out.
"I got it." Zuko said immediately. He stood by her closely. Ama looked over at him. The fire illuminating his face and the reflection was in his golden eyes. Ama could stare into his eyes forever. It was her favorite feature of him. Because when he got excited or happy, they sparkled. But in the moment, it hurt her. Because her unusually stubbornness made her feel dirty to admire him.
Snapping back to the task at hand, Ama looked over at the scroll while Aang, Mai, and Kei Lo crowded around them to see the scroll. "Long ago, long before the Fire Nation came into existence, warlords ruled the Fire Islands." She read. "They fought one another for territory and often the common people were caught in the middle. All the warlords were cruel and ruthless.
"But worst of them was a brute named Toz. Feast or famine, Toz demanded annual tributes from all the villages in his territory. One year, a village dared to refuse Toz his tribute. And so, to teach them a lesson, Toz had all the village's children kidnapped. The children were never seen again, and the village's mother's died in sadness."
"How horrible!" Aang exclaimed. "Where was my past life in all this?!"
"Maybe this was before the first Avatar." Zuko suggested.
"Shut up. I'm not done." Ama grumbled and started to read the scroll again. "Soon after the mothers' deaths, dark spirits began to haunt Toz and his men. Every so often, they would drift into the warlord's encampment in the middle of the night. The next morning, a child would be gone. Out of fear, Toz's men abandoned him. His regime collapsed. However, the dark spirits - the Kemurikage- continue to appear, even to this day, their sadness insatiable."
"Eesh." Kei Lo spoke. "Maybe Sozin kept ancient Fire Nation history locked away because it's so depressing."
"Tell me about it." Mai commented.
"Ama, I think you summoned something by reading that scroll!" Aang said in worry. He saw a smoke-like glow come from one of the murals. "Look!" He held out his hand as the light went around his wrist. "Whoa." He awed. "Neat." Aang ran down the hallway, following the light.
"Aang! Where are you going?" Zuko called after him. "It could be dangerous down there."
"But I think it wants me to follow it!" Aang called back. Ama set the scroll back where she found it and ran after him, everyone else at her side
"This kind of thing happen a lot?" Kei Lo wondered.
"With the Avatar? All the time." Zuko replied.
"Interesting friends you got there, Zuko." Mai grumbled.
"Where are you leading us, little wisp of smoke?" Aang asked out loud.
"Probably somewhere dark and dank." Mai quipped to Kei Lo.
"Kind of like where we are now?" He joked back.
"Oh, it'll be worse." Mai grumbled. She was never one to look on the bright side of things.
"You know, you're pretty cute when you're pessimistic." Kei Lo flirted with a smirk.
"Yeah, I know." Mai said back.
Aang was giving the side conversations no attention. His focus was on the smoke. "Hey, smoke! Can you wait-" he talked to it like it was a living benign, which it may have been. The glowing blue smoke went to the mouth of a dragon statue on the wall. "No, don't go-" And the smoke disappeared inside. "Oh, monkey feathers! I bet this is another lock. Kei Lo, you think maybe you could-" Aang pointed.
"No problem, Avatar Aang." The enthusiastic young man was already approaching the statue with two of Mai's knives. Sticking them in the dragon nostrils, he twisted them and the wall rumbled as it spun open slowly.
"Looks like a crypt!" Aang observed stepping through the new door and down the steps.
"Cool." Ama stepped in after him and had a look around. There wasn't much to see, just some more dragon statues and blank walls.
"I'm not going in there." Mai instisted, standing her ground.
"Kei Lo, maybe you could come along, in case there's something else to unlock." Aang hated to ask. It wasn't that he didn't trust Zuko alone with Mai, he knew Zuko wouldn't try anything. It had more to do with Ama's obvious jealousy and angry behavior.
Kei Lo hesitantly looked back at the two. He on the other hand didn't really know much about Zuko and Mai's relationship. Still, he followed Aang and Ama down into the crypt. "Sure."
Zuko and Mai didn't really have much to say at the moment. But it wasn't like the silence was uncomfortable. "This enough light? Because if the flame isn't big enough, I could-"
"It's fine, Zuko. The less we see of this place the better." Mai responded dryly.
"Oh, okay. You're right." Zuko agreed. "Kei Lo seems nice."
"Yeah, he is." Mai agreed, smiling lightly at the thought of her boyfriend.
"It's good to see you happy. You smile a lot when you're with him." Zuko smirked at how she smiled.
"Yeah, he's good at doing that." Mai said. She didn't always like showing her emotions, but when it came to Kei Lo, she didn't seem to mind. "You and Ama don't seem to be on good terms." She spoke the obvious.
"Tell me about it." Zuko grumbled, looking down at the floor in regret. "I know I messed up, and usually she lets things go, but not this time."
"I'm not a therapist." Mai said dryly.
"Right, sorry." Zuko rubbed the back of his neck.
"But, you're my friend. Plus you're helping find my brother, so I guess I'll help you out." Mai sighed with a small teasing smirk. "You're really bad at letting people in Zuko. And Ama is starting to get really tired of it. I know what heartbreak looks like. And she has that look."
"I've hurt her too often." Zuko sighed.
"Yep." Mai unapologetically said and then poked his chest roughly. "And you better fix it before you lose her permanently."
Zuko gulped at both the Mai's threatening tone and at the thought of losing Ama. Spirits, that's the last thing he wanted.
Meanwhile, Ama, Aang and Kei Lo were following the bright smoke. It led them to a room with four columns at the corners of a coffin. Ama and Aang entered curiously while Kei Lo peeked in. He wanted to get out of there in both fear of the thoughts of spirits and because the thought of Mai and Zuko being together alone was eating him up. "Doesn't look like you need my help! Maybe I should-"
"Kei Lo, something's happening!" Aang gasped.
The glowing smoke spiraled in front of the coffin and turned into the spirit on the murals. The kemurikage. "Greeting, Avatar." A feminine and breathy voice spoke.
"You.. You're one of the kemurikage - the original ones from long ago." Aang spoke respectfully while Kei Lo hid behind him.
"I am." The spirit replied. "For centuries my sisters and I haunted the warlords of the Fire Islands, for their crimes we haunted them. We haunted them until the Islands were united into a single nation. The first Fire Lord, the one who rests in this crypt brought the warlords to justice and ushered in an era of prolonged peace. Our sadness receded. We never again set food in the human world."
"But then why return now?" Aang wondered. "Why are you haunting people again?"
"I repeat, Avatar." The spirit spoke more firmly. "From the time of the first Fire Lord until this moment, we have not entered your world."
Aang's eyes widened. He didn't know who or what took Tom-Tom, but he did know that they weren't the kemurikage. Once respectfully bidding farewell to the spirit, Aang and the others were quick to get back on Appa head back to the city.

"Of course," Hongjoong realized.
"The Roman god Mercury," said Celestia. "The messenger and god of travelers. He's the god of other things, but mainly the first two."
"So he's like Hermes," Dahae said.
"Yes, but the Romans basically copied Greece when it came to mythology," Celestia joked.
"What does the symbol have to do with Mercury?" San asked.
Somehow, Celestia was annoyed by her husband's comment, and shot him a look. "The most notable symbols for Mercury are the shoes with wings," she snapped, "or, in this current situation, a winged staff. It's the winged staff symbols we have to follow."
San just nodded. He knew his sweet wife wouldn't normally act like this. They had known each other since they were children, and San knew that Celestia was slow to anger. She has always been a sweetheart and would never hurt a fly.
Hormones, he thought.
"Looks like we're going left," the captain said after a moment of awkward silence. "We follow Mercury."
Like a mother goose with her little ducklings, Hongjoong led his team down the dark tunnel, this time the ground a little harder to walk on, and the path began to twist and turn. San worried about his wife falling, so he remained close behind her despite her just having snapped at him. They came across three or four more divided passageways, one of them splitting into six paths at one point; but the crew kept going down paths marked by the staff symbol.
After walking down some steps, a noise echoed off the walls, causing them to stop in their tracks. Voices.
"There must be tours going on above us," Dahae guessed.
San checked his map again and pinpointed where they were. "We're very close."
"You think they can hear us?" Mingi asked as everyone continued walking.
"Not if we keep our voices down," Hongjoong said.
"Plus, the Hypogeum is closed off to the general public," Celestia added. "They can only look at it from a bridge over it."
"And the map leads us right beneath the Hypogeum."
"Underneath the underneath."
"What's that?" Grace-Anne pointed out something.
Up ahead was another fork in the catacombs, but this time, a faint pale glow could be seen down one of them. Dahae checked the wall over it to make sure there was a symbol engraved, and sure enough they were to follow the light. One by one they turned off their flashlights and relied on the light to guide them.
The smell was now stronger, but nothing overwhelmingly horrid.
Soon, they approached an archway that separated the tunnel from a large stonewalled room. It was still dark, but a large slit in the tall ceiling provided enough light for the crew to spot something sparkling in the dark brown wall opposite them. The only separating between them and the diamond piece was a stone bridge with every other one discolored.
Hongjoong nearly stepped on one when Grace-Anne stopped him.
"What?" he asked.
Grace-Anne looked back down at the stones, picked up a loose rock by Yunho's foot, and tossed it onto one of the discolored stones. Immediately, it moved down about an inch, and an arrow shot out from one side to other faster than lightning.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," she said, "but you may wanna take a look down below."
She was pointing to where the room dropped about twenty feet around them and the bridge. When everyone else looked over, the smell finally made sense. To their horror, piles of dry human skeletons littered the floor beneath them. Each one had some sort of stick poking out from various body parts. Both the sight and smell triggered Celestia's nausea, and San followed her back down the path to a different one for her to release everything that was firing up her throat.
"What kind of Indiana Jones movie did we walk into?" Dinah complained. "If we all try to make it across without stepping on the certain stones, we'd all be dead."
The captain knew it wouldn't be too terrible, but he didn't want to risk losing his whole crew all at once. Even if they did get across unscathed, none of them knew how to dislodge the diamond piece from the wall if it was wedged in there really well. Then, he remembered something. He turned to Grace-Anne.
"Since you're our Geologist, do you think you can get across and get the diamond?" he requested.
With a confident smile beneath her mask, she nodded.
Not only did Grace-Anne geodes, gems, and other matter of geology, but she also learned about jewel thieves and how they would use their own tactics in their stealing. Of course, none of the crew condoned it, but it did come in handy once in a while on their quests.
Slipping off her backpack, she gave it to Seonghwa to hold. She opened it up and pulled out a small pouch and her gloves. As she stepped up to the first stone, she slipped on her gloves and wrapped the pouch around her waist.
"Now or never," she whispered to herself.
"Be careful, Grace-Anne," Seonghwa warned.
Focus took over her thoughts while the rest of the crew held their breaths. When she stepped on the first stone and examined the other ones, it clicked in her mind that it was some weird game of hopscotch. However, she still had to be careful. She could lose her balance at any given moment.
Death over a game of hopscotch? She thought. That's a new one.
As soon as she was about five feet away from the other stone platform, a few discolored ones seemed to be blocking her way. As much as she hated it, she would have to take the leap. Taking a deep breath, she got into a lunging position and threw herself over the stones and tumbled onto the platform without triggering any arrows.
The rest of the crew cheered as San brought Celestia back from her nausea spell.
Grace-Anne brushed herself off and stepped up to the stone wall. The diamond piece was stuck in there, but it was easy enough access to release it. In her pouch she held a glass replica of the piece she had made prior to arriving. In her head she counted to three, and within a split second she had swapped the diamond with the diamond-shaped glass.
"Got it," she called back to them.
"Alright, we're out of here," cheered Hongjoong as Grace-Anne placed the piece in her pouch and sprint-leaped back to them.
Something metallic dropped onto one of the regular stones in front of them. Seonghwa leaned as far as he could to examine it. The object was spherical and as big as a grapefruit, and it had a blinking red light on it. With each blink, a clicking noise sounded. Another one fell through the open slit. Then another. Then another.
"What's happen-" Phoebe began.
"BOMBS!" Hongjoong screamed.
The crew immediately sprinted like jackrabbits as more and more of what they now knew as grenades were falling into the room. Yeosang ran ahead of them as they traveled back the path they came, keeping a keen eye on the symbol; and San was carrying Celestia as she couldn't run as fast. In the distance behind them, they heard rumbling which caused some of the rocks around them to crumble around them.
"They're going off!" Dahae squealed.
"It's way behind us! We'll be fine!" Dinah shouted back.
However, the eruptions seemed to be getting closer. The cold air was now starting to heat up. An orange glow seemed to be growing behind them. Fire was chasing them, and if they didn't get out fast, they were done for good.
Finally, they reached the entrance, but to the crew's horror, the lid had somehow been shut. Yeosang wasted no time, using every bit of strength he had to push the lid open. The lid opened successfully, and he dashed out of the entrance. The crew seemed to jackrabbit leap out of there just in the nick of time as they ran back the way they came. Feeling the earth beneath their feet rattle wildly, everyone lost their balance as the fire roared a demon-like eruption. Ash and hot debris began to fall down, and the crew took cover by getting into fetal position.
The captain could tell that possibly much bigger ones had replaced the smaller grenades. No little trigger could have set off something so big.
"When I tell you to run," Hongjoong commanded loudly, "run to the HALA, and board it as quickly as possible."
Another explosion, and Hongjoong waited until it began to settle before screaming, "GO!"
Like roadrunners, the crew scrambled to their feet and dashed towards the direction of opening. Celestia struggled a little, but Dahae grabbed her by the hand and held onto it to encourage her to keep going.
Hongjoong pulled out his communicator and radioed Jongho, and the youngest crew member immediately answered.
"Jongho, start the ship now," he commanded. "We've got the diamond piece, and we're leaving now."
"I heard the explosion, and I started the engines," Jongho reported. "I'll open the door for all of you to enter."
"We'll be there shortly."
He stuffed the communicator in his pocket and kept running, never looking back.
They were about twenty feet away from the opening when San felt something sharp and hot pierce the right side of his back, and he cried out in pain as it burned. The impact knocked him to the ground, but Wooyoung was quick to pick him up and fireman carry him back to the open area.
"SAN!" Celestia screamed.
"I've got him!" Wooyoung reassured her.
"Just keep running, baby!" San encouraged her with one last breath before passing out.
