#I like how it's a personal bro secret between them. Not even Piper knew this.

Its canon that Jason and Leo sneak into Chiron 's rec room in the big house, to play Mario Party six on Nintendo switch. And Leo would also program to game to do stupid stuff so they both can win all the time. I have no idea what you will do with this information, but I'm letting you know anyway.

ok literally no one asked but i was inspired by oliver’s post and i wrote nico’s confession to percy and how i would have liked it to go ^_^
It’s over, that was his first thought once he saw Octavian launch himself to his death. He should be happy, not about Octavian’s death, of course but, about this whole thing being over and done with. Instead, he doesn’t know how to feel.
This whole ordeal gave him time to avoid his feelings, to hide and maybe never show his face in front of Camp Half-Blood ever again instead, here he is. It’s a bit weird, four years ago he lost his sister and now he has a new one, maybe two, because Reyna feels like a big sister to him, what Bianca could have been, he tries not to dwell on it.
He made his way to camp, he had to stay for at least two days, he couldn’t just abandon Hazel. He sighed as he eyed his cabin, he really didn’t want to be here right now. He was almost at his door when he heard his name being called.
“Nico!” he turned around, ready to see Percy or Jason but to his surprise it was actually Travis Stoll, one of Hermes’ kids.
He stayed at the Hermes’ cabin for a while when his sister went on that quest, the Hermes’ kids had welcomed him as if he were one of them. It was the first time he ever felt like he belonged.
“Hi Travis” he replied and turned around to face him, he hadn’t changed much since he last saw him, maybe he was a little bit taller.
“How has our little brother been doing?” Out of nowhere Connor was now next to his brother, smiling at him.
“Um, fine” he replied, because he was not used to people coming up and talking to him.
“You know,” Connor spoke “We thought after the war you’d stay but that wasn’t the case at all. Travis and I are still waiting for those poker classes”
Travis laughed and put an arm around his younger brother “Right, right. You beat our ass at poker, and you were only ten! You need to teach us your ways” They both smiled at him, waiting for an answer. He wasn’t sure on what to answer so he didn’t.
“Come on Nico” Connor pushed it and he felt himself get angry.
“Why would I stay here? No one acknowledges me, most campers are afraid of me and- “
“Woah, woah. Easy there lil bro” Travis interrupted him “Scared of you? Geez, most of us at the Hermes’ cabin have wanted to see you for a long time. When you came back you didn’t even greet us, we thought you forgot about us” Forget about them?
“Wait, this doesn’t make sense. Every time I came back everyone would just stay away from me”
“Well to be fair most of the times you came to visit the only campers are the Hermes’ cabin were Travis and I” Nico finally made eye contact with Connor “Not everyone is an all year rounder, you know”
“Oh” it hit him; people probably didn’t talk to him because he looked like he didn’t want to talk to anyone. He remembered how the Stoll brothers indulged him in playing mythomagic that one time and how they gave him a tour of the camp and taught him a few of their pranks. Maybe it was him who didn’t want to get close to anyone, he finally understood. He had to make an effort too, it couldn’t be one sided, he needed to stop viewing himself on how he thought people saw him, he was more than just Hades’ kid.
“So,” Connor spoke “Are we learning poker from our genius goth little brother?”
Nico felt himself smiling, maybe he could indulge them a little bit. “Maybe”
He spent the next two days at the Hermes’ cabin, he would have given Hazel a tour, but she was too busy roaming around camp with Piper and Reyna to pay any attention to him, he was okay with that. He taught the Stoll brothers all the poker knowledge he had learned from the Lotus Casino, which was a lot, spending around sixty years in a casino does that to you. They also made him play mythomagic and gave him a deck of cards so he could play with them whenever he wanted.
For the first time in a long time Nico felt happy. Reyna had spread the word that he had helped bring the Athena Parthenos to camp so now campers would say hi to him and hi-five him, which was a lot to get used to, but he realized he didn’t mind.
Hazel left that day in the afternoon, with Reyna and Frank. He said his goodbyes and promised to visit.
It was dawn and he didn’t sleep one bit; it didn’t bother him since he was used to it. He felt a knock on his door and got up to see who could possibly be, it was Jason.
“I came to check on you” was the first thing he said.
“I’m doing fine, thank you very much”
“That’s good”
“Do you regret now leaving with Reyna?” he asked
“Hm, maybe. I’ll be going back and forth between camps so I’m not too worried” Jason didn’t look too sure of his decision but he decided not to comment on it “What about you, it’s been three days and you are still here”
“Yeah, I’m staying”
Jason blinked, clearly surprised “What?”
“At Camp Half-Blood. The Hades cabin needs a head counsellor. Have you seen the decor? It’s disgusting. I’ll have to renovate. And someone needs to do the burial rites properly, since demigods insist on dying heroically”
“Dude, I’m pretty sure you chose the decor”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” Jason laughed, and Nico thought it was going to be okay.
“Not to ruin the mood or anything but, are you going to tell him?”
“Uh?”
“Percy” He replied, “He’s leaving with Annabeth tomorrow”
He panicked, he felt his dinner on the back of his throat, he couldn’t breathe. Being with Travis and Connor had given him time to not think about Percy and now he had to.
He didn’t show up for breakfast and the Stoll brothers immediately sensed something was wrong, they visited him at his cabin. At first he didn’t want to open, he didn’t want to let anyone know how he was feeling but he gave in, knowing they would pester him until he opened the door. He tried to put on his best face but, Connor noticed something was wrong.
“Neeks, what’s wrong?”
How could he tell him? Hey, I’ve had a crush on this boy for four years and he’s leaving tomorrow, and I feel like I have to tell him, or I won’t have any closure.
“Travis bring some water Nico is clearly panicking”
He felt Connor pat him on the back, trying to calm him down, he can’t handle it.
He was being so sweet, and he felt like he didn’t deserve it, he liked a boy for fucks sake, how gross was that. He felt himself start tearing up.
“Hey Neeks, are you alright? What’s bothering you?”
“I like Percy” He didn’t process what he said until Connor stopped patting his back, he regretted it immediately.
“You do?” Connor asked “I mean he is really handsome and has saved the camp multiple times from being destroyed and he’s funny and” Connor realized what he was doing and stopped “I mean, it’s cool dude. I feel like everyone has had a crush on Percy at some point”
“What?”
“Yeah, I mean I had a crush on Percy for like two months”
Nico felt himself calm down a bit, at least Connor didn’t hate him or think he was disgusting for liking a boy.
“You did?” Connor laughed and looked at Nico
“Yeah,” he answered “is that why you’re panicking? Because you realized you like him?”
“No, I’ve known for a while” he felt himself blush, he had kept his crush on Percy a secret for a long time.
“Then what?”
“I feel like I have to tell him”
“Is that what you want?” For the first time since he met Connor, he saw him with a serious look on his face.
He wondered if it’s really what he wanted.
“I don’t know”
After his conversation with the Stolls he left for Camp Jupiter, he felt the urge to talk to his sister, he needed to tell her before he even wondered about telling Percy.
He arrived at night; he had sent an Iris Message to Hazel before visiting so that she wouldn’t be surprised.
“Nico!” she immediately hugged him.
“Hazel”
“It’s only been a day, what brings you here?”
“I have something important to tell you,” he spoke “Is there somewhere we can talk in private?”
And then he told her, everything, Hazel was the person he knew he would trust the most, so he didn’t hold back. He told her how disgusting he had felt when he realized his feelings weren’t platonic, how many times he had cried thinking people would find him disgusting and she just listened, she didn’t say anything until he was done talking.
“Do you plan on telling him?”
“I think so, he’s leaving tomorrow”
“You don’t have to, you know”
“I feel like I won’t be able to move on if I don’t” He looked at the sky, it was hard, he was scared.
“I think, you have to do whatever feels right for you, Nico”
He decided, he was going to tell Percy about his feelings. Hazel offered to come with him, and he accepted, he needed the moral support.
When he arrived at camp the Stoll brothers immediately found him and asked what he was going to do, he told them he was going to tell Percy, and they hugged him and promised to be there for him.
The next day he woke up and almost threw up because of the nerves, Hazel was next to him the whole time, telling him everything was going to be alright, he believed her.
Travis and Connor sat with him at breakfast even though it wasn’t allowed and tried to cheer him up, then, the time came.
He stood up and went to look for Percy.
“Percy, um, could I talk to you for a second?”
“Sure” He stood up from his place and followed him “What’s up?” He asked, looking at Hazel, Travis and Connor who were behind him.
“I like you”
There, he said it. He finally admitted his feelings to the person who they were for. He saw the shock on Percy’s face and almost laughed, he looked cute. He didn’t have to hide it anymore.
“W-what?”
Nico felt his cheeks grow red, “I like you” He repeated himself “I have liked you for a very long time and I thought I needed to tell you before you left”
“That’s uh”
“I don’t need an answer, Percy. I just wanted to tell you” He reassured him “No hard feelings”
“Yeah” Percy smiled “Thanks for telling me, Nico”
Acceptance wasn’t easy, he still had a long way to go, but he already took the first step.

Friends Don’t Get Crushes
this is the first part in the Friends Don’t series which is just my follow on from I Dream of Danger. im worried I overhyped this, it’s only short coz it’s the first part, but tagging everyone who said they’d be interested: @mychenrymadness @chenoahchantel @up-the-tube @ginger--binger @starry-nightschool @bizackmartin @cactus-con @charlottepage thank you guys!
It had been an entire week since Kid Danger had rescued Charlotte from the lion enclosure, yet she still avoided any one on one contact with Henry like the was contagious. When he and Ray returned from a crime, there would be something in the backroom that ‘urgently required her attention.’ If he got near, she took a step backwards. And considering their usual proximity to each other, it raised a few eyebrows.
Henry, however, had taken the only approach he knew: humor. Whenever a conversation with her seemed different to how it should be between two friends, he laughed or pulled weird faces in an attempt to break the tension. It never worked. Ever. In fact, it made Charlotte feel like any feelings he might have for her were all in her head.
And despite them both assuring themselves that their newfound inability to be normal around each other had gone unnoticed by their co workers, it had had the opposite effect. Schwoz and Ray spent their evenings speculating what exactly had managed to create palpable tension between the two friends, but came up empty every time. Because Charlotte and Henry were friends. And friends don’t have crushes on each other.
As if their friendship wasn’t in a rough enough spot as it stood, word had soon gotten around that Charlotte was the newest in the line of people whose lives Kid Danger had saved. This, was the widespread news that had transformed school into her own personal hell.
“Was he cute?” “Did he smell good?” “Did he kiss you?” “Did you want him to?”
Charlotte wasn’t sure what was worse; that she was being asked these questions about her best friend, or that her answers were no longer the ones they should have been. She could barely focus on classes anymore, instead her mind replayed the events from the week before, and the months before that. Her brain was desperately trying to trace back to one moment where her feelings had changed, one specific moment she could accuse her hormonal teenage mind of overthinking and fucking up her thoughts. It would be so much easier if this were just some simple problem she could solve. But there wasn’t any one occasion where Henry had swept her off her feet and put hearts in her eyes. Instead there were hundreds of little things, the kind of soft touches and heart felt exchanges that plagued her dreams every night.
“We need to talk.” Charlotte was startled, wondering for a moment if her fear had managed to manifest in words. But when she looked up, the eyes that met hers belonged to a different male best friend.
“About what, Jasper?” She asked loftily, trying to pretend that she hadn’t just been so consumed in her own thoughts that she hadn’t noticed the bell to signal the end of school and the room emptying around her.
“I know about the dreams.” Those five words were enough for Charlotte to grab her bag- and Jasper- and drag them both to the supply closet. It was as if the entire universe was out to expose her innermost thoughts and feelings; she didn’t need anymore people overhearing.
Usually after school they would wait for Henry before all walking to work together, but today he was in detention for a reason she didn’t know, on account of the fact it had been forever since they last spoke, at least properly.
“Did Henry tell you?” She questioned, resting her weight on the wall with her hands in her hair, not at all pleased that soon everyone would know she had been having damsel in distress type fantasies about her best friend. If only her subconscious was less of a romantic.
“You told Henry?” Jasper sounded surprised. So, clearly he hadn’t been filled in about exactly what had gone down at the zoo. The only other person that knew was Piper. But Piper would never tell Jasper her secrets, she didn’t even know who she was really talking about. That meant-
“The chameleon ring!” She exclaimed, the pieces of the puzzle beginning to fit together in her head. She had remembered Jasper mentioning something about needing to get revenge on Piper for a prank she pulled and it made sense that he’d use that to do it. Only that meant that Jasper was still under the impression that the dreams Charlotte had been having were about him.
She didn’t want Jasper to find out the way she was feeling about Henry, the reality of the effect this could have on the future of their trio suddenly hitting her. But was also unfair to let him continue living under the misguided impression that she was in love with him. So she swallowed her pride and explained that the only reason she had lied in the first place was because she couldn’t bring herself to tell Piper, her only female friend, that she had developed a crush on her brother.
“Thank God! I thought I was gonna have to let you down gently,” Jasper breathed out in relief. Relief? Was the idea of dating her really that bad?
This hurt was clearly evident on her face, as he felt the need to add: “incase you haven’t noticed, I’m really more into boys.”
That had been a big deal for Jasper to admit out loud. There were no “I knew it”s exchanged, Charlotte not wanting to undermine the courage the admission had taken. He looked more vulnerable than she’d ever seen him when she wrapped her arms around him as tight as they’d allow her to, muttering into his chest how proud of him she was.  They remained like this for a quiet moment longer, allowing all the new information to sink in.
Detention had let out early -due to Ms. Shappen having a ‘hot date’ that evening- and you could imagine how it looked to Henry when he saw his two best friends emerge from the janitor’s closet with their arms around each other’s shoulders. He wasn’t quite sure why the emotion that consumed him, as he watched from his locker, was of all things, jealousy. It wasn’t the kind he was used to, it wasn’t a fear of missing out on hanging out with his friends, it was a fear that his own dream, a revelation of sorts, had come too late.
Jasper could read Henry’s face like a book and he couldn’t help but laugh to himself over the idiocy of his two favourite people. Figuring now was as good a time as any to come out to his other best friend, he double checked the hallway was empty before saying two of the hardest, yet most relieving words to say out loud. “I’m gay.”
“Bro,” Henry burst out, the word laced with affection as he strode towards him, engulfing him in a hug. The word meant more to Jasper than he was able to say, it was all he could do to not cry at the feeling of a weight being lifted off of his shoulders.
It was Charlotte who suggested they stop to get ice cream before heading over to Junk N’ Stuff that afternoon. The three of them left the high school with their arms wrapped around each other and even with Jasper between them, it was the closest she and Henry had been all week. She pushed the thought from her mind. She had all the time in the world to obsess over her future with Henry, today was about Jasper.

Joy
This is a chapter of my Heroes Of Olympus fanfic. I hope you like it.
Joy couldn’t believe what she saw. She knew what she was doing is wrong, but she just couldn’t help it, she was curious. She still is.
After coming to this camp when she was 8, Joy shouldn’t be surprised about what she saw, for, she saw a lot of strange things. But then again, what she just saw wasn’t strange per say. It was more of uncommon. Not unnatural, but uncommon.
Once she was sure he couldn’t hear her, Joy got out of the forest as fast as she can. She didn’t want him to see her. It’d be plain awkward. Once she reached the outside of the forest, her eyes landed on the camp fire. She couldn’t seem to digest that someone could touch a fire like this and not get hurt. Let alone, create it.
That’s when Joy realized, Leo Valdez is one of the seven demigods.
Joy has never been a morning person, and she sure wasn’t going to start now. Especially when three kids are going to go on a quest. The thing about quests in this camp is that demigods usually don’t make it back alive. Not all of them at least, however that changed when Percy Jackson arrived. It was just like the first quest he went on along with Grover and Annabeth. It was just messier, considering the fact that Percy is missing.
Now, Joy wasn’t at the fire camp last night. She slept through dinner and fire camp, not that she minds missing a meal and the so lovely gathering of every single person in this camp. But words travel fast around camp, and Joy was wondering if Leo’s friends knew about him. Did anyone know that he can get fire out of his hands? Cause if people know, it sure would be an uproar at camp.
“Now. I know that frown.” A voice sounded from behind the machine Joy was working on, causing the girl to yelp and throw the  groove joint pliers at the person. “Goddammit, Nico.” Joy sighed as she glared at the boy, “How many times have I told you, don’t shadow travel in the damn forge.”
The only reaction Joy got was none. It was no secret that the son of Hades wasn’t a people’s person. And for the last few months, Joy hasn’t been either. So maybe they found something in each other. A friend. Nico shrugged after a few minutes and walked towards Joy, greeting her with nod of some sort. They both hated when people entered their personal space bubble.
“So,” Nico started as Joy went back to working on the machine. “Kinda quite for the forge.” Joy raised her eyebrows at the boy. “It’s six thirty in the morning. The only awake kids are the Apollo kids,” Nico nodded, knowing that it’s true “Hand me a D02.” Joy stretched her arm, still looking at the metal box with plastic rectangular door like lit at the front. When Joy didn’t feel the cold metal in her arms, she remembered that Nico has no idea what that is. “White circular shape at the bottom. Long ass rectangle gold at the top.” “So, new campers.” Nico handed Joy her D02. “Yeah, three,” Joy flipped the box, placing the newly given metal to her in it’s rightful place. “older than thirteen. And I got a new half-brother.” Nico nodded at the information, but he stayed silent.
“Your twin is in the fields of punishment,” Nico informed Joy. “listening to Opera right now, solving a puzzle.” “He hated that stuff.” Joy scoffed as she added an air filter in her machine, screwing it secure. “Yeah, well. It’s not called fields of punishment for nothing.” Nico pointed out as he slightly touched the top of her air filter, bringing the whole project down into individual pieces. “Seriously!” Joy groaned as she ran her hands over her face. “I’m not a Hephaestus kid and I could tell that was trash.” Nico shrugged as he raised his eyebrows at Joy, asking her what’s wrong. “Nothing,” Joy stated “I just saw something yesterday.” Nico was going to ask what but he didn’t get the chance.  “Honestly, it’s nothing. If something is bothering enough, I’ll tell you.” Joy smiled at the boy, making him nod in defeat.
Joy lost track of time on how long she’s been in the exact spot after Nico left. She was trying to convince herself that she is rebuilding the machine at the correct rate. But she hasn’t even finished the base yet. By now the forge was full, like every day. Joy was half expecting to see Leo, but he wasn’t there. She wanted to talk to him about his ability. True, she has no idea how to start the conversation, or what to say. But she knows how it feels like to have something extraordinary. Something different than the rest. Yes, hers is bad- a disability as she sees it, but it’s still different.
The noise outside got louder in a second. The conch horn blew, catching the attention of the children of the forge. Joy placed the screwdriver down and limped outside along with the others. Once Joy reached her destination, everyone has quieted down and the sight in front of her got her smiling.
Pushing her way to the front, Joy saw the dragon. She wanted nothing but to hug that stupid metal dragon. After all, he was the reason for her injury. That’s when she took in the sight of Leo. His coat and his face were smeared with soot. His hands were grease-stained, and he wore a tool belt around his waist. His eyes were bloodshot. His curly hair was so oily it stuck up in porcupine quills, and he smelled strangely of Tabasco sauce. But the look on his face says absolutely delighted.
“That thing is dangerous!” an Ares girl shouted, brandishing her spear. “Kill it now!” Joy was glaring hard at the girl. She loves that dragon. “Stand down!” someone ordered, it was Jason. He pushed through the crowd, flanked by Annabeth and Nyssa. Jason gazed up at the dragon and shook his head in amazement. “Leo, what have you done?” “Found a ride!” Leo beamed. “You said I could go on the quest if I got you a ride. Well, I got you a class-A metallic flying bad boy! Festus can take us anywhere!” “It—has wings,” Nyssa stammered. Her jaw looked like it might drop off her face. Joy looked at the wings and her eyes widened. The wings were so good, it made her wonder how have they not made him ones. If Leo is talented enough to do that, a cabin full of kids could’ve to, but apparently not. “Yeah!” Leo said. “I found them and reattached them.” “But it never had wings. Where did you find them?” Leo hesitated, and Joy knew he was hifing something. “In … the woods,” he said. “Repaired his circuits, too, mostly, so no more problems with him going haywire.” “What do you mean ‘Mostly?’” Joy asked. The dragon’s head twitched. It tilted to one side and a stream of black liquid—maybe oil, hopefully just oil—poured out of its ear, all over Leo. “Just a few kinks to work out,” Leo said. Joy raised her eyebrows at the boy as she tilted her head to the side. “But how did you survive … ?” Nyssa was still staring at the creature in awe. “I mean, the fire breath …” Joy knew. But she didn’t say anything, She won’t. “I’m quick,” Leo said. “And lucky. Now, am I on this quest, or what?” Jason scratched his head. “You named him Festus? You know that in Latin, 'festus’ means 'happy’? You want us to ride off to save the world on Happy the Dragon?” The dragon twitched and shuddered and flapped his wings. “That’s a yes, bro!” Leo said. “Now, um, I’d really suggest we get going, guys. I already picked up some supplies in the—um, in the woods. And all these people with weapons are making Festus nervous.” Jason frowned. “But we haven’t planned anything yet. We can’t just—” “Go!” Annabeth said. She was the only other person who didn’t look nervous at all. Her expression was sad and wistful, like this reminded her of better times. Joy gave the girl a tight, small smile. Joy and Annabeth aren’t friends. They don’t hate each other either. They are just colleges. “Jason, you’ve only got three days until the solstice now, and you should never keep a nervous dragon waiting. This is certainly a good omen. Go!” Jason nodded. Then he smiled at Piper. “You ready, partner?” Piper looked at the bronze dragon wings shining against the sky, and those talons that could’ve shredded her to pieces. “You bet.” she said.
“Leo!” Joy called as she limped towards the boy. Leo turned around at the unfamiliar voice and his eyes widened. Was she coming to kick his ass for what happened at the forge? He sure hoped not. “You guys go ahead and ride,” Leo told Jason and Piper. “I’ll be back in a minute.” Meeting the girl halfway, Leo placed his hands in his coat pockets. “Hey,” Joy started as she gave Leo a blank look. “I want you to know that what you did, it could’ve gone very wrong,” Joy sighed as she bite her bottom lip in between her teeth.  “And…” “Leo!” Jason called from atop of Festus. Leo looked back to tell him to hold on for a second “You know what.” Joy stated as she gave Leo a small smile. “Thank you for bringing him back,” Joy mentioned to the dragon with a nod. “And try not to die.” Joy doubted on saying something else, so it was very awkward for a few seconds as Leo tried to make sense of the situation. “Go and break a leg, fire boy.” Joy whispered. Leo’s eyes widened at her nickname. She knew. She’s gonna think he’s weird. Upon seeing the look on the boy’s face, Joy gave a small sigh. “I’m not gonna tell anyone.” She sighed, trying to reassure Leo that she’ll keep her mouth shut until he decides if he wants anyone to know. However, Leo didn’t look that reassured, so Joy said the only words that made her feel safe. The words that she trusted so much. She shouldn’t have.
