Lol no, apparently it's not. And just to provide a little more context, all my PC's titles are Kiara-referenced

"Lya the Blossom" - from one of Kiara's Noble Phantasm lines "Now, return to the lotus flower's blossom / Amitābha Amidala - Heaven's Hole..." and also I simply love flowers and I think of her development like how a flower going from a bud to full bloom.

"Lyah the Emancipated" - from Kiara's bond 2 description "She is the emancipated Devilish Bodhisattva." You might remember how I created Lyah to be free from Lya's sufferings, hence the "Emancipated". Looking back, Kariya might be more suitable with this title now.

"Kariya the Alter Ego" - Kiara's servant class and literally FGO mechanic lol. Kariya was created using one of Lya's old save files, so technically speaking they are an altered future Lya could've be, an Alter Ego. Even Kariya's name came from Kiara's full name: Sesshouin Kiara -> Sesshouin Kariya

Heck, even Dollya - my avatar/sona's design was inspired by Kiara's third ascension.

The Lore of the universe moon mites exist in is a work in progress (most of all the designs of the aliens lol). This would be approximately 1'500 years into the future, this Galactic society being incredibly young as before it, space was nearly completely silent and antisocial. Putting the Dark Forest theory at play here (if you know what that entails heh), humans being the odd one out just because they've been screaming into space with no regard for their safety since the start of their societal evolution (which is why various of species of aliens silently hovered above to see what the ruckus was.. some less well-intentioned than others, but their interference wasn't enough to influence humanity as a whole.) Once humanity was able to travel through the stars more effectively, THEY would be the ones to make the first move into first contact, which became an alliance, which became a collective of alliances, and a new form of Galactic urbanization was born. Of course, with it still young, it has... plenty of flaws, most of them ethical.

Have this stupid doodle of my and my friend's ( @perkybat ) sonas in this universe lol. Fun Fact, sentient machines that operate without organic material (like brain organoids) are not considered "alive" legally, so their rights are up in the air to be violated by many species, often having to live on the run and as outlaws to make ends meet.

Also some mite lore!! Starting with the eldest Core Leader, Gen0

An ancient mite kit who's grown to be cruel and vengeful after being subjected to not only the abduction and torment of his entire species but experimentation that had irreparably altered his blood as well as the rest of his kind for the worst. Resulting in the modern mite.

Also some more mite lore, being their tonic berserker response AS WELL as a lethal psychological aliment that has originated from them. Three examples of individuals afflicted being a bluavia nurse, and two Planetary Pest Control Soldiers (Eric belonging to @themagicbrew). Edgar might look familiar because I'm literally yoinking him for this, I love him too much to NOT use him.

Oh man. OOOOOH man. This sort of stuff I both love and hate bc I allow myself to get creative and try new things and get all abstract but also endlessly annoyed at myself for not adding in more details or colors or whatever I can think of after the fact (even if that would go against my attempt at not spending hours and hours on these). The painting, I guess its more mixed media, was done on cardboard! I used a lot of gouache and watercolors with some colored pencils, markers and pens for lil details. There wasn't much planning, I kinda just had an idea and went for it! Below is how the process panned out and the final version!

In May of 2024 I made an illustration that payed homage to ultrainfinitepits Pride Angel series. When I saw most of the concept at the time, and the older designs, I had been pretty unfamiliar with many of terms. Curious, I took the time to research each and ever one and suddenly found myself resonating with multiple entries/designs/flags in a very new and eye-opening way. Even though its not the only angel/flag I now carry, the Bigender angel is perhaps one of the most comforting of the designs as it very easily encapsulates my current gender identity. To show this, I painted my sona (his name is Guy) proudly basking/lifting up the angel in gratitude and joy. Guy is the first sona I've ever had thats been fat (I am also fat) and seeing happy, fat, not f3tishised characters/sonas/people who are queer isn't something I often see. When I worked on this I worried he would be too off putting, too weird, too bright- things I worry about myself when I go out into the world. What if someone notices me? What if they make fun of me? What if what if. Eventually it dawned on me that I..really shouldn't care! This was all about trans joy- bi gender pride! Pride in myself, the joy in finding more of me! This is for me- no one else. I am allowed space to feel that joy. I am allowed to share it. I am allowed to exist. ANYWAY!! Thank you for taking that time to read this! I may doodle a few more pride angels going forward (their designs are fun) but I think this will be my last art fight one-- and last deep art fight art for now LOL! Made her “normal” vs monster/bestial comparison!! + height comparison + color palette comparison

(This is an oc for the Objectfied comic au im making! I will explain her role soon..!)

Now let’s get onto some character design study! Let’s start with her limbs!

I was going to make her limbs white, which aesthetically didn’t look nice, so instead of white limbs, I thought maybe I make it the colors OF the stripes, with the white slightly showing, and if your wondering how her limbs turn from normal to tiger.. let me demonstrate..!

That’s basically how her limbs change color, her limbs originally have dark stripes with a slightly lighter rest of the skin, depending on how much she turns into a tiger is how much the colors show!

The paws on the normal limbs are different from the tiger ones, I couldn’t make the paws the exact same color as the limbs so I made it lighter (since I didn’t show it in the reference above, I didn’t put it’s color in the palette)

Her tail completely shifts into nothing just like her fur on her neck, I thought it would be cool if I added small stripes along her neck where the fluff comes but I thought it was a little too much, since the limbs were already showing off the cool stripes, yk?

Plus, if you noticed, the more normal version of her is more awkward and shy, to the point she doesn’t even know what pose she should make! But the more she shows off her bestiality, the more confident and proud she is! Since tigers are very strong and confident, I thought it would be cool to make her lose/gain that confidence based on how normal/bestial she is!

Her claws can unsheathe, which is why I demonstrated it in the reference above btw

To disguise her stripes, she said she was just born with this “odd beauty mark pattern” which wasn’t exactly a lie, some people would fall for it, and some got suspicious but didn’t think too much about it

And uhh about my older sonas, (Fuorzy, Bookmark, and Portal) I’ll see which ones I’m gonna stick with since I think I’m losing my hype for Bookmark

And to end everything, she is one of my (favorite) sonas now, as she really shows off everything I have!

I am a white tiger therian, very VERY skinny, I have glasses (my old ones were circle glasses), freckles, I always feel confident and happy when I shift into Xue, aka my theriotype, and in reality I am a very shy and awkward person!1!

Soo.. WOAAH!! HI OBJECTIFED VERSION OF ME!! :D

I thought it would be such a perfect idea to add my theriotype in my sona because I got SO MUCH therian energy off of Dynamite! Which inspired me to make my own oc and lore and au and… yeah you get my point.. <:D (I actually shifted earlier today and yesterday after months of nothing which felt so refreshing, I thought I lost my connection for a while!)

I have two questions

Is Mango your sona and if he is, how did you choose him? Does he have lore?

Og my god an interview, hey mum look I'm being interviewed!!!

Yes Mango is my sona! He's my SMG4 Sona, so I have other sonas that I use for non SMG4 stuff but he's the only one I use for here! My main sona is a horse demon lol.

When it comes to why I made him, I wanted someone different to use for SMG4 content because when I first got into it, I kinda didn't want anyone to know I liked SMG4 lol. Idk it felt way too cringy to me as a 25 year old being into funny online Mario show so I wanted something different that I could make a separate space with. Now I don't care lol I got over that anxiety real quick, but I still kept Mango because I like him a lot!

Designing him was easy, I just took a character that could fit in the SMG4 universe that I like and can easily project onto (Dr Mario) and I just played around with that until I got Mango! There was a lot of just picking out things I like and smashing it onto him, sonas don't have to have super deep meaning or anything, they can be as simple as making a design with things you like in it.

Designing sonas is a lot easier if you have some kind of "base" to work with, I think kinsonas and inspired designs are so cool I love seeing how people remake a character into their own, its so awesome. I know it's not for everyone but I think it's epic, there's so much to be inspired by and work from in the SMG4 universe so going wild with it is great fun!

Mango does have lore, I made it up after I made him, I designed him first as a MLP hybrid and then I had to figure out how he became one, was a lot of work lol.

His very basic lore is that he comes from a universe where MLP is brought into the real world, however people can't be normal around the ponies so doctors around the world are tasked with creating a "cure" to make people behave around them. Anyway Mangos one of them but he fucks it up and gets turned into a MLP hybrid. He gets his medical license revoked, gets expelled from society and ends up being taken by the government to keep him contained alongside the other MLP ponies. They experiment on him a lot and all that fun stuff but he's besties with all the ponies in there so who cares, then one day he suddenly gets teleported to the SMG4 universe where he gets his license back and now works as a doctor in the SMG4 universe!

See, character lore can be whatever the fuck you want it to be, I wanted Mangos to be just as dumb and over the top as him, its important.

If you're struggling to design a sona, I guess my only advice is just make something you like! There's no limit on how many sonas you can have so you can spread around your interests and likes across multiple characters. They don't have to be wild and exciting or have deep intricate lore or anything like that, they're just whatever you use to represent yourself, just start with something you like and go from there!

Okay, this was long overdue tbh 😔🙏(N Lore (?) Under the cut!)

I've been meaning to make N a new ref for a bit, so here we are! Since she's my skele-sona I kinda want to do a quick rundown on her design elements for fun, then her in-universe lore!

(Note: I refer to her a lot with she/her, she is technically a she/they/he/it genderfluid kinda girly, but I made her before gender tomfoolery registered in my brain so I default to 'she/her' out of habit-)

Design:

Her Halo/Crescent/Horns were initially inspired by wanting her to have metaphorical horns instead of slapping points onto her skull. She's also a shape-shifter, so her human form uses the crescent like a hair clip! Also based on the moon a bit.

The wings/tail are things I ended up w/ in the long run. The wings used to be optional + usually based on specific birds, and the tail was thicker w/ an end piece that looked like a fountain pen tip, but the long windy one abd the black wings were more fun to draw/animate!

Virgin Killer sweater used to be a Grey sleeveless turtleneck, but I just like the aesthetics here better.

Arm Gloves/Leg Socks are half because I hate drawing arm bones, abd half because I thought it brought more dynamic shapes into the design! Also... kibty... (inspired by gloves/socks I own)

Pants: She's always worn snow-pants in her design, and they used to have hanging suspenders, but I removed them. Why they're amarica colored I couldn't tell you... I just like the color combo 😔

Cracks on her face: The forehead crack is inspired by when I tripped and smacked my forehead onto a stair corner as a kid (blacked out, don't remember the hospital trip that followed?). Chin crack inspo is a random scar I have on my chin!

Color on Bones: I actually just added this, but my skin gets blotchy when I'm nervous or embarrassed, and I like the visual that N's magic does that to her Often lol. So! It's like blush! (It's also on her collarbone but you can't normally see it, haha-)

Blue + Purple: I actually don't have symbolism here. Just that I had another oc (B) who was my *other* skelesona insert oc, and *her* colors were blue and purple. N used to have white eyelights I think? Silver? But N and B traded off some traits in a point where I tried to combine them, and the result was this current version of N! Actually...

Old Art jumpscare...

So, I stole the pattern from her jacket and put it kn her pants, stole the crack in B's forehead and gave it to N, her Halo kept tilting further left, and I revoked shoe privileges?? Idk man, it's been a wild ride.

Oh! Her hands *do* still have holes in them too.

Lore:

N is less like Me and more like a bossy little minion I custom-made to go harass my ocs. She exists anywhere, anytime, and is only restricted my universal laws if it makes a situation more interesting. Very much a mary-sue. Meant to play almost a 'narrator' role!

She has beef specifically with Ichor (because I put hin thru so so much in the early days-) and is very chill with Phishbone and Pretender. She loves to chill in different aus with different people, but she adores just being obnoxious to my ocs specifically. Objectively, *not* a good person 🙏

And yeah. She looks different in has new clothes everytimr I draw her, but this is a good basic design base!

No no!! You're so ok!! Thank you so much for asking! That made me so happy! (This is kinda?, just slightly, old art)

Basically, the brother is the main first-arc villain; after his defeat, he reverts back into a younger version of himself, and he becomes Morning Glory's assistant as he also wants to study the concept of friendship further and feels slightly indebted to Morning Glory for initially saving his life. (I haven't come up with his name yet)

I do have to alter Tizzy's design (and name too) now since I have decided to make her initial design into my sona (it just sort of happened), so that will happen in the foreseeable future

I’ve noticed recently that I’ve been trying very hard to get all these projects done, but I just cant seem to get past this writers/artist block.. Ingo and Emmet part 3, my FNAF AU, the Rosalina comic.. all of it has just felt really draining. I think its because I’m turning these projects into work, instead of a fun hobby.

I actually was working on the Petey Piranha comic last night, but I just couldn’t get past the sketching stage. So I took a break to draw what ever I wanted and.. I had a lot of fun.

I think I’ve overwhelmed myself thinking I have to do all these projects and get them done quickly for.. what ever reason. And its made art really draining.

I think I’m gonna take all of my projects (aside from my FNAF AU) and just. Put them on the shelf for now. I’ll draw them if I ever feel like it.

I had planned that he could eat a fire flower and spit out a fire ball, but I later took away that ability. Yoshi ain’t got no fire powers :(

They do exist, and Bowser does care about them.. but he doesn't show it as much as he does in canon. He’s a lot more stern and ruler like. A lot less touchy feely you know?

The idea is that the 1-UP mushroom has fully left Mario’s body. So any effects or pain he experiences all lies in his trauma related to the incident.

Now, if Luigi were to die and be revived by a 1-UP? It would be the same. If the experience was traumatic and he suffered a horrible injury, he would probably deal with phantom pains too..

For most of them I just referenced clothing that relates to the attraction/style they have in the game.

For Chica I looked up kids rock star costumes and took reference of what I thought looked good. For Bonnie I looked up old vintage bowling ally shirts and referenced the one that looked closest to his canon shirt. For Foxy I referenced pirate coats and costumes. For Monty I looked up old golfing outfits and picked out aspects that I liked and mixed it with punk/rock and roll. For Roxanne I referenced punk rock I think..? And old racing fire suits.

For Freddy though I mostly made it up.. but I looked at a bunch of different artists that made redesigns for Freddy and tried to capture the vibe of the ones I liked. Mostly the collar on his coat was something a lot of those artists drew-

For Gregory I just gave him a new outfit based on the story. When he went back to the Pizzaplex his clothes were dirty and worn.. so Freddy went and got him new clothes from one of the gift shops. So I went to google and referenced the sweaters and clothes you find throughout the game and gave him stuff that looked similar. Hope this helped! :}

When I was designing my sona, I wanted something on my hands. At the time my hands were covered in Band-Aids due to cat scratched and dry/cracked skin. So I thought hey! I could have bandaged hands! So I added them.

Oh he’s in the AU, he’s probably one of the smaller gorilla types that just kind’a vibes and does old man stuff. He probably has to eat the sweeter fruits though because his jaw isn’t so strong anymore. Much to his dismay.. 

She didn’t cause any problems per say, the Toads didn’t even know she existed. Although she does create these shooting stars every time she comes to the planet.. but that doesn’t bother the Toads either, In fact they celebrate them. So the toads have no issue with Rosalina.

Also she apologized to Mario and Luigi for “disturbing” them because they heard her crying and they went to investigate. :(

I don’t actually have a specific name that I tag my AU under.. but if you were to search “mario” in my blog search you’ll find just about every Mario related post I’ve ever made. AU and not AU.

The reason why Mario experiences phantom pain is because his first death was very traumatic for him. So whether or not he experiences phantom pains with his future deaths all depends on how he died, and how it effected him mentally.

Same goes for Luigi. If he dies a horribly painful/traumatic death.. he’ll likely experience phantom pains too..

There was a comic planned for how they met him actually.

They got lost in the woods and stumbled upon King Boos mansion. Like an idiot Mario goes in and Luigi follows. They both ended up getting tormented and pranked by the Boos. They were separated at one point but then met back up on the second floor. Mario sees a fire flower in an old flower pot and grabs it.

As soon as he becomes fire Mario.. the entire mansion goes completely silent..

Then, all the windows and doors slowly shut. Some of the lights come on and Mario and Luigi follow them. They follow the lights down the hall, down the stairs, through the main room and wind up led to the front door..

The front door is wide open. Mario and Luigi walk out.. only for the door to slam shut behind them. Locking them out.

Mario harnessing a fire flower was so bizarre, so impossible! That King Boo knew he was outmatched against him. So King Boo just silently let them out of the mansion without a fuss.

I’m not sure how they would react to the Koopalings, but I imagine they wouldn't hurt them. It doesn’t take a genius to tell that the Koopalings are just kids..

As for their behaviors.. I think its close to the canon interpretations, except for Ludwig and JR. I had planned that Ludwig was going to be much bigger and more stern like his pa. Because he is the heir to the throne.. but then google told me that Roy is the oldest so there goes that plan-

For JR though his plans stick. JR is supposed to be smaller and younger. More like a toddler then a kid. He’s the youngest and the one Bowser is most protective of.

If Bowser had gone straight for Luigi, first of all he would have to land a fatal blow twice. Because the power of the Ice Flower would Protect Luigi from one big hit. That’s actually why Mario died in one shot. Because the Fire Flower had just run our of power.

But anyway- after loosing the ice flower and getting hit? Luigi would just die.. and stay dead. Only Mario had consumed a 1-UP mushroom at that point..

I imagined them as these strange monsters that live in the woods. They don’t work for Bowser, or Peach, they just do their own thing. I also imagined them to deal with dark magic and rituals and stuff. 

Wanna hear how Mario and Luigi first met one?

The plan was that the bros and Yoshi were exploring when they found a shy guy with its leg caught in a tree root. Mario carefully approached to try and help.. but the closer he got. The longer and more deformed the shy guy became.

Yoshi ended up snatching them both up and running away. Mario mysteriously had a fever that lasted for a few days after that..

My favorite character? Oooo that’s a good question. There’s a lot to choose from.. but one of my favorites is Hal Monitor. Always love it when he’s on screen XD

I actually like stupid Mario sometimes, he’s pretty funny XD

So far my favorite arc is the lawsuit arc. Mostly because I’m not caught up on the other arcs. The little nuggets of Mario angst/wholesomeness we got in that arc was delicious XD

If the Monkeys were to eat the red beets they would gain more muscle mass overtime. But its not a matter of them not being able to eat them, they just don’t like them.

The blue fruits are very sweet and juicy, and the beets are dry and bitter. The kongs that like bitter flavors eat the beets and grow to be huge. and overtime they develop a dislike for sweet tastes. And vice versa.

I wanted to have a series of posts where people can find all of my characters in one place! Since I have too many to fit them all into one post, I decided to split them up based on how much I use them/how developed they are, the same way they're split up on my Toyhouse.

I wanted to have their refs here so people can find them relatively easily and not have to go digging through their Toyhouse galleries to find them lol. If anyone ever wants to draw them, you are very much encouraged to do so!! Same goes for asks about my characters! Those are always welcome as well!!

These will have some general information about each of my characters, but if you want to see more about them in depth, each character's Toyhouse page will also be linked! If/when I update any particular characters' ref in the future, that will be updated here as well ^^

Will also include each character's theme song because I like showing those off too :3

PRIMARY OCS

These guys are also the ones I generally use the most often and have a fair amount of development, but aren't as much a direct reflection of me as my sonas are. That being said, a lot of them do still hold different facets of my personality here and there!

They're split into two categories: Upper Tier Primaries, and Lower Tier Primaries. This is mainly to differentiate between how much I use some of these characters, as I will admit that there are definitely some I use much more than others lol. Basically the Lower Tier ones are the characters that I don't use as much, but feel too connected to, or have enough development to not be demoted completely to secondary OCs lol
