You know how they say that when you spend a lot of time with someone, you start picking up on their habits, language, etc.? Well, it looks like we can see this a bit with the KazuRei sticky notes. This may be unintentional, but let’s take a look:

Here is Kazuki’s first memo from Episode 1:

The handwriting is light, thin, and small. The sticky note is placed haphazardly onto the desk.

Rei’s first sticky note is from Episode 3:

His handwriting is thick, large, and dark. The sticky note is placed very neatly and centered on the desk, unlike the crooked nature of Kazuki’s.

Now, let’s take a look at their most recent sticky notes.

Here is Kazuki’s from Episode 7:

The handwriting is bigger, darker, and thicker. It doesn’t look 100% like Rei’s handwriting, but you can see more of a resemblance and influence there. The sticky note is also placed a bit more neatly on the table. Not as haphazardly as before.

And here is Rei’s from Episode 8:

The handwriting is smaller, thinner, and less dark. The sticky note is also placed rather crookedly on the desk. You can still tell that the handwriting is Rei’s, but you can see a bit of Kazuki’s influence and resemblance there too.

i like to think that the tentacles in dungeon meshi are kinda like mushrooms or perhaps even lichens in that they are very confusing to identifty and have 200 completely different species that look very similar ("delicious brown tentacle vs BROWN DEATH TENDRIL") and you need to be an Expert to determine the difference between some of the more confusing species and some of them have like 300 different sexes and some of them are actually composite creatures composed of several different species and somehow yeast is involved and also no one really knows half of whats going on with them and in like 50 years someones gonna figure out that uhm actually these are two completely different types of tentacle creatures that arent related like at All they jusf happen to look similar and oh btw that one common house mold is actually a tentacle
