F1 2020 Grid as German rap songs
Since the 2020 season has come to an end, I thought it might be a good idea to finally share this thing that I’ve been working on since June. I have no idea as to why or how I had this idea, but I’m sure I’m not the first one to do this, anyway. I’m sorry to all my fellow Germans in advance <3
Disclaimer: I translated all of the lyrics myself so some things might not be completely accurate, for which I can only apologize. I do not agree with the way some rappers portray women, so I made sure to steer clear from those lyrics.

Lewis - Vintage (RIN)

It’s a song about being a champion, living a luxury life, nice clothes, and well...driving fast cars. Any more questions? Rin is one of my favorite German rap artists, so I just had to include his songs, and this one makes you feel like a real badass, just like our king Lewis 😌
Valtteri - In meinem Benz (AK Ausserkontrolle, Bonez MC)
Du siehst mich im Benz sitzen, so wie Lewis Hamilton

It’s kind of obvious why I chose that song, right? Other than that specific line there are some more parts about how much the rapper apparently loves his Mercedes and this song just screamed Valtteri to me.

Ignoring the entire part about Monte Carlo and all the French words, this specific part just always reminds me of Charles when I listen to the song. More badass vibes but less seriously so because I can’t take Fero’s voice that serious at all, which fits Charles.
Sebastian - Ferrari (Eno, MERO)

There’s a part about “rolling with [a] bro in a white Mercedes” and my brain said Sewis rights. Other than that, this is once again a rather obvious choice, if not all that up to date anymore. Some lines about racing on the German highway, so of course I had to go for Sebastian with this one.
Max - Fame (Apache207)

This simply gives me Max vibes, I don’t have much more to say as an explanation. It just feels right, with criticism towards mentally “weaker” individuals and the confidence in making a name for oneself based on own achievements and hard work. Also, Apache has become a rather popular musician in the past year(s) (especially to obnoxious 5th graders, all tea no shade), which is just...Max, I won’t elaborate.
Alex - HONDA (Ansu)

I mean, it’s a song about a Honda driver? I struggled quite a bit with finding a song for Alex, but when I first listened to this song, my mind threw his name at me in blinking neon letters, so this is the vibe we’re going with - a funky fast Honda driver <3 (PS: I have no clue what the Willy Wonka thing is about but....why not)
Carlos - Habibi (Casar)

[She texts me “Habibi” because she misses me I drive far away with my hermanos]
I can only listen to the word “hermanos” so many times without my mind associating it with Carlos, so this one was a rather obvious choice for me as well. Also, there are some parts about Spain in this song so I had to be lame and do the obvious with this one.
Lando - 500 PS (Bonez MC, RAF Camora)

[I step on the gas, hear the 500 HP Cruising through the city, GTA Los Angeles]
This one’s a solid mainstream German rap song (not that I’d call Lando a mainstream person), liked to some extent by most people, and it gets you moving, which reminds me a lot of Lando. Cars and mentions of a video game make for a hit and Lando unites just that in person as well.
Daniel - Emotions 2.0 (Ufo361, Céline)

A bittersweet love song with rich boy summer vibes and one of my favorite German songs to be released this year, in fact, it’s my most listened to song on my phone, make for a combination that just screams Daniel to me. This song hits different when driving into the sunset in a fancy car or when biking through town at 1:30 am on three cans of Red Bull (believe me, I tried), and always reminds me of better times. It’s the ideal song to sing and rap along to, so that matches Daniel just fine.

1.90 meters as a reference to Esteban’s height, obviously, simply made sense to me, once again. The second line reminds me of his feud with Pierre, so I had to choose this song. It’s better than Ratten im Hof (rats in the yard), and this reminds me of a wannabe gangster, which just screams Esteban to me, I’m sorry <3
Pierre - DAS RENNEN (RIN)

I know no one will believe this story but I started working on this post like half a year ago and I chose that song for Pierre back then and uhm, manifestation worked, I guess? Once again, I’m a big fan of Rin’s music, so choosing this song for Pierre is a bit like selfcare. The lyrics mention changing the world and well, so far Pierre has as least changed my world 😌

I really hope I got that translation more or less right but other than that, I didn’t simply choose that song based on the Russian part. It’s a song we used to listen to a lot a few years ago and one of those from the days where Capital Bra was famous but less so than he is today. It reminds me of simpler times and it’s a pretty vibey song that, if you allow it to, draws you in and makes you dance. I have a soft spot for Daniil and the song reminds me a bit of him.
Lance - Bronx (Veysel)

This is a song that you have to listen to on high volume in a fast car, one that once again has really badass vibes. It’s nice to rap along to and hard not to move to. The rich boy vibes in the chorus that I’ve included in this post are pretty inevitable and logically, I had to associate that with Lance. When I turn this song on, everyone enjoys it, and I think Lance deserves to evoke that emotion in everyone as well.
Sergio - AVENTADOR (Dardan, Eno, Noah)

I mean yeah, I could have chosen that song only because of the Adiós but that’s a bit lame even for me. Instead, the entire fast car vibe reminded me a lot of Checo. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him and this year he once again showed people ([coughs] my brother) that he’s been severely underestimated. So stepping on the gas and outpacing everyone else felt like the right vibe.
Kimi - Sorry Not Sorry (Monet192, Takt32, badmómzjay)

[What you made your career, I do as a hobby What problems you have, no one cares]
The title itself embodies Kimi and so does the entire song. The not giving a shit vibe, paired with the mention of the hobby thing as an indirect reference to the famous Kimi quote about seeing his job more as a hobby, are just 100% Kimi. I really couldn’t have found a better song for him. 
Antonio - Maserati (RAF Camora)
Capo dei capi Trip noch im Alfa, doch bald Maserati

I did very much not choose the song because “capo dei capi” (the boss of bosses) is a mafia related thing, but because of the Alfa part, duh. Roadtrips in an Alfa along the Adriatic coast are cool and all but a Maserati is obviously the main goal, and that reminds me of Antonio quite a lot ~for some reason~. The entire part about making it far in life without a “serious” job is just very F1, so the vibes are there. Happy very belated birthday Toni <3
Romain - HOCH (CRO)

This song is just very peaceful and calms my mind when I listen to it, which radiates the same comforting vibe as Romain. The topic of rising despite things dragging you down are a very prominent topic here and reminded me a lot of him, especially with him leaving Haas and everything around that. It just feels nice to listen to a bit of an uplifting song once in a while, and this one does it in a way that still allows you to feel calm and safe, which is something I associate with Romain a lot.
Kevin - Vorbei (Nico Rosseburg, Sierra Kidd)
Sag mir bitte, wie passe ich die Zeit? Der Augenblick war schön, doch es ist vorbei
[Please tell me, how do I pass the time? The moment was nice but now it’s over]
With Kevin leaving F1, I had to go for this song for him. It’s a bit more of a sad topic (so am I with the knowledge of him not being there next year) but without making the entire thing sound melancholic. I only really learned to appreciate Kevin this year and I’ll miss having him around, so this song kind of fits that idea for me.
George - 20 Zoll MAE (Celo&Abdi, Bonez MC)
Ich fahr' mit Schrittgeschwindigkeit, so wie ein Don Hättest gerne meine Felgen, aber wirst sie nicht bekommen
[I drive at walking pace like a Don You’d like to have my rims but won’t get them]
Making this solely about driving at walking pace would be a bit mean but there’s a part in the song soon after about looking beautiful in a Mercedes, so that’s pretty much George. The song just carries that fun vibe and the subtle (not really) flex, which makes it great to listen to if you want to get in a happier mood. It’s a song about Mercedes rims, of course I had to choose George 😔
Nicholas - Standard (KitschKrieg, SFR, Trettmann, Gzuz, Gringo, Ufo361)
Treff' mich in Miami, fliege nur noch First-Class Nur noch unterwegs, kriege Heimweh
[Meet me in Miami, only flying first class anymore Only on the road anymore, getting homesick]
More ~rich boy vibes~ and a song that has been playing what feels like 24/7 on MTV Germany the last two years. It got so bad that some people around me still reply in the trademark Gzuz voice when someone uses the word “standard”. Anyway, I associate this song with Nicholas because just like KitschKrieg did with their first “own” song, Nicholas has joined the game and left an impression on everyone, in one way or another, and I’m willing to see/hear more of that :)

The opening / closing line to this song really hits me in the forest gnome ... She grew up in a culture where the trees grew with the spirits of the dead and as far as her life has carried her from those trees, she still believes in her heart that she’ll live on in them when she eventually dies. 
It’s not a melancholy song, though, cause she’s a bona fide badass. It’s about getting revenge for wrongs done to you, which Stella spent years and years trying to do, and about living for your grudges, which she also does.
2. Dog Days are Over by Florence & The Machine

A song for new beginnings borne from the ashes of your old home.
3. Arsonist’s Lullaby by Hozier
All you have is your fire, and the place you need to reach / Don’t you ever tame your demons, but keep them on a leash
This one’s about survivor’s guilt, and the feeling of heat on your heels as you turn tail from the flames and run towards the city you were always warned would kill you but ended up leaving you the last one standing. Take it literally, she’s been a little obsessed with fire ever since it destroyed her (to the point of falling in love with a fiery tief), or take it metaphorically, about the streak dark curiosity about life outside of her clan that no elder could train out of her, and that pulled her into a criminal underworld she wasn’t prepared to handle. 
(Also i :3 at this song being on Caleb’s playlist because if any of my characters are Caleb kinnies, it’s stella.)
4. Smell by Sleeping at Last
Triggered like a tripwire every time I breathe it in, isn’t it strange how a lilac tree unlocks where I’ve been / Time and space are at my back performing disappearing acts, and now I can’t escape the smell of smoke
All your senses have the capability to remember when you least expect it. The song that makes me cry the most on here.

This is a song for the moment she got caught on the job, dripping all the sleaze and thinly veiled threatening-ness of her deal with Geran (the fantasy capitalist who offered to clear her criminal record in exchange for a year of work as his personal guard, effective immediately, no questions asked).

Assassin time again, but this time, with Revenge and Retribution Vibes. Stella finds an amount of satisfaction in killing that terrifies her, because someone else - rich, privileged, deserving - is feeling the same pain she knows too dearly. Like, most of the people she was hired to kill were utter shit heads and as someone coming from the bottom, it was kind of her right to take everything from them.

This one’s about her crawling her way back into normalcy, not really knowing where she’s going, and not really believing she can actually just. Have a life again, but hoping really, really hard that she can.

ASSIGNED MIKA KIN SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
Keep in mind that Stella was originally a back-up Strahd character, and listen to this song with three choruses, one for each bitter, bitter  man (the fantasy capitalist that burned down her clan, the fantasy capitalist that caught her on the job, and the vampire shithead that stole her girlfriend and her girlfriend’s brother and then maybe her too) that took her life out of her hands, and get emo about it.

Die britische Singer-Songwriterin Emeli Sandé hat einen weiteren Song von ihrem neuen Album „Let’s Say For Instance“ geteilt. „Oxygen“ präsentiert eine ruhige, tief melancholische und reduziertere Facette der international erfolgreichen Künstlerin und des Albums, welches am 06. Mai über Chrysalis Records erscheinen wird.
Obwohl Sandé eigentlich eine eher zurückhaltende und schüchterne Person ist, kehrt sie diese Persönlichkeit in ihren Songs komplett um, wie sie erklärt: „Unless I really trust somebody, I'm not going to be super open and tell them how I feel. But with music, it's the complete opposite. I need to just let it all spill out and see what it is. With anything that I'm doing, whether that be making a song or being in love, I just, it needs to be all or nothing, and that’s what I wanted ‘Oxygen’ to be. My family think I'm a little bit extreme sometimes but I think that whatever you dedicate yourself to, you have to fully go for it.”
Auf dem neuen Album präsentiert Emeli Sandé eine neue Seite ihrer Musik, wagt mehr Experimente und mischt so verschiedenste Stile und Ansätze miteinander. Weil es unerklärlich, ungesund und unheimlich ist, wenn man besessen ist. Wenn man so hart liebt, dass man dem anderen unter die Haut gehen möchte und sich darin komplett verliert. Kein Wunder, dass der Chorus es nicht mehr aushält: „Baby, you gotta let me out, I gotta get free – I’m too invested“ Die starken Lyrics und die kraftvolle Melodie stammen aus der Feder von INA WROLDSEN, der hochinteressanten norwegischen Singer/Songwriterin, die unter anderem an Calvin Harris’ „How Deep Is Your Love“ beteiligt war und 2018 als eine der erfolgreichsten Musikerinnen des Landes ausgezeichnet wurde. Sie sagt über „OBSESSED“: „Es ist eine ganz andere Art von Liebeslied. Es handelt von dem Moment, in dem man feststellt, dass sich die Liebe von etwas Gegenseitigem und Gesundem in etwas Obsessives und Schmerzhaftes verwandelt hat. Es war faszinierend, mich für diesen Song mit meiner dunkleren Seite zu beschäftigen und zu beschreiben, wie man nach einer Liebe sucht, von der man tief drinnen weiß, dass sie nicht mehr da ist.“ Für diese Art Song die richtige Produktion zu finden ist absolut entscheidend – Wroldsen, die u.a. schon mit Clean Bandit und Jax Jones gearbeitet hat, weiß das. Umso begeisterter war sie von DYNOROs Herangehensweise: „Als ich seine Produktion der Platte gehört habe, war ich total aufgeregt. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass er die dunkle Seite und den Puls des Songs total verstanden hat. Für mich ist Dynoro aktuell einer der interessantesten jungen DJs bzw. Produzenten überhaupt. History and Purpose of Wahnmache/ MahnWache: ————————————————————————
Founded around 1991 by Gerhard Martin (Guitar & Keyboard & Drums) & Daniel Robert Oelbauer (Drums & Violin) as „TOLLHAUS“ (T.od  O.hne  L.angfristig  L.ebenswerte  H.offnung  A.ll  U.nseres  S.eins ), while studying in the Gymnasium Sonthofen. Our first and only public Concert (Winter 1994) took place WITHOUT us, since we were NOT informed about it right in time. As NOBODY could be found for playing the bass, the „Band“ never grew to bigger extent than 3 men (additional Guitar-Player Andreas Reck joined in late 1993). And 1994 had been the year of the tacit disbandment, too. The project just diverged without comment. Some „easy & silly listening“-Folk-Rock-Band took the name TOLLHAUS for their Band…and I named my solo-project „WahnMache / MahnWache“ as an equivocation to the German word for a „political or admonishing vigil“ and the „making of madness“. It now is a solo-project, but it does not necessarily NEED to stay one, right ? ;-) Please help to develop these recordings into full wholesome songs with any instrument that would help to complement the expression of it. Strongly demanded would be Drums and Bass …but any other instrument is wellcome, too, as far as it can be useful to transport the emotional message of this music MORE, or in a new and interesting way. But the main Prerequisite is, that the Music of Wahnmache/Mahnwache strictly stays NONcommercial ! Or else it will lose its Vividness, deep Expressiveness , Meaning & Message ! Werdegang & Absicht von Wahnmache/ MahnWache: —————————————————————————
Gegründet um etwa 1991 herum, von Gerhard Martin ( Gitarren & Keyboard & Schlagzeug) & Daniel Robert Oelbauer ( Schlagzeug & Violine/Geige), als "TOLLHAUS" (T.od   O.hne  L.angfristig  L.ebenswerte  H.offnung  A.ll  U.nseres  S.eins ), während der Schulzeit am Gynmasium Sonthofen.
Unser erstes und einziges öffentliches Konzert (Winter 1994) fand OHNE uns statt, da wir NICHT rechtzeitig darüber informiert wurden.
Weil NIEMAND als Bass-Spieler gefunden werden konnte, wuchs die "Band" nie größer heran, als 3 Männer ( der zusätzliche Neueinsteiger-Gitarrist Andreas Reck kam später im Jahr 1993 mit hinzu).
Und 1994 war auch das Jahr der stillschweigenden Auflösung. Das Projekt verlief sich ohne ausdrücklichen Schlußpunkt.
Eine alberne "Easy-Listening-FOLK-ROCK-Gruppe" trat mit unserem Bandnamen "TOLLHAUS" öffentlich in Erscheinung.... und ich taufte mein (jetzt) Solo-Projekt  "Wahnmache/Mahnwache". Es ist nunmehr ein Einzel-Projekt , aber es braucht ja nicht notwendigerweise eines zu bleiben, oder ? ;-)
Bitte hilf, diese Aufnahmen zu ganzen, kompletten (instrumentalen) Musikstücken weiterzuentwickeln, mit jedwedem Instrument, welches die Ausdrucksfähigkeit ergänzen oder sogar erweitern helfen könnte. Besonders gefragt wären Schlagzeug und Bass ... aber auch jedes andere Instrument ist willkommen, solange es die emotional-gedankliche Botschaft dieser Musik vermitteln kann, oder in einer neuen , interessanten Art & Weise bereichern kann.Grundlegende Bedingung dabei ist allerdings, daß die Musik von Wahnmache/Mahnwwache strikt UNkommerziell bleibt ! Andernfalls würde sie ihre Lebendigkeit, tiefe Ausdrucksstärke, Bedeutung & Botschaft verlieren !

Wahnmache/Mahnwache( auch: “Mahnwache/Wahnmache” ) ist ein offenes, nichtkommerzielles und auch ansonsten eher ungewöhnliches Musikprojekt von Gerhard Martin, aus Sonthofen, der südlichsten Stadt Deutschlands.
Stilistisch bewegt sich Wahnmache/Mahnwache hauptsächlich im Metal-Bereich, ist aber grundsätzlich für jede ernsthafte Musikrichtung offen und läßt Einflüsse auch aus z.B. dem Barock zu, dem Industrial, dem Hardcore-Punk, Balladen und Halbballaden, oder aber auch aus der Meditations- & Entspannungsmusik.  
1. GESCHICHTE:
Werdegang & Absicht von Wahnmache/ MahnWache: ———————————————————————————
Gegründet um den Sommer 1991 herum, von Gerhard Martin ( E-Gitarre & Akustik-Gitarre & Keyboard & Schlagzeug & E-Bass ) zusammen mit Schulkamerad Dr. Daniel Robert Oelbauer ( Schlagzeug & Violine/Geige) alias “Dan Robertson” , als “TOLLHAUS” ( was als Abkürzung für: “T.od   O.hne  L.angfristig  L.ebenswerte  H.offnung  A.ll  U.nseres  S.eins” gemeint ist ), während der Schulzeit am Gynmasium Sonthofen. Bereits dieses Anfangsprojekt fiel durch Ungewöhnlichkeiten auf. Stilistisch wurde alles zugelassen, sogar humorvolle Musik, wie etwa inspiriert durch Fun-Punk-Band “the Toy-Dolls”. Gerhard Martin bezeichnete sich selbst auch als “Tragicomix”, um diesen Zwiespalt von heiter & ernst zu beschreiben.
Das erste und einzige (geplante) öffentliche Konzert (im Winter 1994) fand tatsächlich OHNE die Band statt, da sie NICHT rechtzeitig darüber informiert worden waren. Gründer Gerhard Martin las das Plakat mit dem darauf prangenden Bandnamen erst am Tag des Konzertes, rein zufällig im Jugendhaus. So kam es niemals zu wirklichen öffentlichen Auftritten.
Weil auch NIEMAND als Bass-Spieler gefunden werden konnte, wuchs die “Band” nie größer heran, als 3 Musiker ( der zusätzliche Neueinsteiger-Gitarrist Andreas Reck (ebenfalls vom Gymnasium Sonthofen) kam später im Jahr 1993 mit hinzu).
Und 1994 war auch das Jahr der stillschweigenden Auflösung. Das Projekt verlief sich ohne ausdrücklichen Schlußpunkt.
Eine  "Party-Musik-& Bierzelt-FOLK-ROCK-Gruppe" trat später mit dem Bandnamen “TOLLHAUS” öffentlich in Erscheinung…. und Gerhard Martin taufte sein (von da an) Solo-Projekt in:  "Wahnmache/Mahnwache“ um. (Auch als: ”Mahnwache/Wahnmache“ geschrieben.) Es ist nunmehr ein Einzel-Projekt , aber es braucht nach Vorstellung des Gründers nicht notwendigerweise eines zu bleiben.
Gerhard Martin formuliert den Zweck-Gedanken und die musikalische Absicht des Projektes folgendermnaßen: "Bitte hilf, diese Aufnahmen zu ganzen, kompletten instrumentalen Musikstücken weiterzuentwickeln, mit jedwedem Instrument, welches die Ausdrucksfähigkeit ergänzen oder sogar erweitern helfen könnte. Besonders gefragt wären Schlagzeug und Bass … aber auch jedes andere Instrument ist willkommen, solange es die emotional-gedankliche Botschaft dieser Musik vermitteln kann, oder in einer neuen , interessanten Art & Weise bereichern kann.
Bitte laßt mich wissen, WIE Eure Interpretation und Erweiterung meiner Musik-Aufnahmen sich anhören würden. OK ?”
Gerhard “Gerre” Martin  
Im Frühjahr 2014 klappte eine erste solche musikalische Zusammenarbeit: Der Franko-Kanadier Joe Paul François Dubé (kurz:  Frank Dubé) aus Québec erweiterte 13 Wahnmache-Mahnwache-Stücke um zusätzliche Gitarrenspuren, E-Bass und Schlagzeug. Die so aufgewerteten 13 Stücke wurden weltweit im Internet veröffentlicht. Zum Schluß allerdings dann leider kommerziell bei Frank Dubé´s Musikverlag “El Cheapo-Recordz” , was eben rein garnicht im Sinne Gerhard Martins verlief.
Eine weitere Musik-Erweiterung gelang mithilfe der Unterstützung des Künstlers “Is-qui”, bürgerlich: Michael Maihöfer , aus Berlin.

WEITERE Projekte von Gründungsmitglied Gerhard Martin:
Bandgründer Gerhard Martin war von 1992 bis 1993 als Aushilfs-Schlagzeuger bei “Monkey Business” , einer melodiösen Hardcore-Punk-Band aus Sonthofen  tätig. In den sogenannten “Falkenlager-Jam-Sessions” entstanden einige analoge Kassetten-Aufnahmen.
Seit 1999 trieb Gerhard Martin auch ein Metal-Parodie-Projekt namens “Neg-Narz (Negativer Narzissmus)” voran. Auch dieses Projekt ist UNkommerziell. Als Beweggrund nennt er die Frustration, Verdrossenheit und sogar depressive Leere, die er über den allgemeinen Niedergang in der Metal-Musik zu Beginn der Computereinführung im Zuge der digitalen Aufnahmetechnik ab Mitte der 1990er Jahre erfahren mußte. Damals brach der Rockmusik-Markt weitestgehend zusammen.
Kommerzieller Erfolg von in dieser Zeit auftauchenden Bläck-Metal-Bands, sowie der neu aufkommende “Nu-Metal” von Bands wie KoRn oder Limp Bizkit waren Gerhard Martin ein solches Ärgernis, daß er beschloß, aufzudecken, mit wie WENIG musikalischem Anspruch man offensichtlich zu dieser Zeit Geld machen konnte. Zudem wollte er klarstellen, daß die kommerziellen Bands sich über Luxusprobleme & Wohlstandsschwierigkeiten auslassen, während ARME Bands mit echten Armutsproblemen schon garnicht erst gehört werden (können).
Zuerst erschien im Jahr 2000 eine CD, die mit KoRn und Limp Bizkit abrechnet. Unter dem Unter-Namen “ZoRn” veröffentlichte Gerhard Martin das Album: “zu allem Überfluß (Das Überleben im Wohlstand)” mit 11 Titeln. Im Gegensatz zu Wahnmache/Mahnwache bedient sich das Projekt “Neg-Narz” ganz gezielt der Lyrik, es gibt also Texte dazu. Als “Mikrophon-Anschreier” konnte Gerhard Martin seinen Bruder Norbert Martin gewinnen. Zusätzliche E-Bass-Spuren spielte Josef “Josy” Klaiber ein, der auf mysteriöse Weise einige Jahre später in China verstarb.
Das 2. Album “TOD FÜR DIE WELT ! (Den Mächten des BLÖDEN muß INhalt geboten werden.)” ist ein Rundumschlag gegen ALLE Stilrichtungen des Metals, und seinen albernen Auswüchsen.

Als ausdrücklichste musikalische Absichten nennt Gründer Gerhard Martin:   hohe Ansprüche, emotional-gedankliche Ausdrucksfähigkeit, sowie stilistische Vielfalt (von ihm selbst als: “Stil-Falt” oder "Stil-Fältigkeit" bezeichnet) & weitestgehende Freiheit , diese Stile miteinander zu vermischen. Dabei sieht Gerhard Martin die größtmögliche Ausdrucksmöglichkeit in INSTRUMENTALER Musik, also frei von zumindest festgelegter Sprache. Die Stimme als eine Art von “Musikinstrument” schließt er dabei nicht grundsätzlich aus ; nur das Festlegen durch fixe Sprache. Um also selbst bei den Musik-TITELN der einzelnen Stücke möglichst ausdrucksstarke Wirkung zu erzielen, setzt Gerhard Martin auf “Wortneuschöpfungen, um Mehrdeutigkeiten und Botschaften ZWISCHEN den Zeilen” zu erreichen. Selbst für den Bandnamen gilt dies ja offensichtlich. Ausser gelegentlichen Ausflügen in die “Programmusik” (z.B.: “endlich allein (mit der Welt)”)  vertritt Wahnmache/Mahnwache hauptsächlich “Absolute-Musik”-Vorstellungen.
Der Anspruch an musikalische Fertigkeiten ist f��r Wahnmache/Mahnwache grundsätzlich sehr hoch angesetzt, auch wenn Gründer Gerhard Martin beteuert, daß er selbst diesen Ansprüchen nur teilweise gerecht würde. (Vor allem Gitarren-SOLOS würde er gerne besser beherrschen, als es der Fall ist. )
Eine Besonderheit am Projekt Wahnmache-Mahnwache ist auch, daß die komponierten Musikstücke grundsätzlich als in “noch offener Bearbeitung” angesehen werden. Das gilt sowohl für die einzelnen Kompositionen, als auch für ganze Alben. Jedes Album enstand daher auch frei & zeitgleich neben anderen Alben her.

History and Purpose of Wahnmache/ MahnWache: ————————————————————————
Founded around 1991 by Gerhard Martin (Guitar & Keyboard & Drums) & Daniel Robert Oelbauer (Drums & Violin) as „TOLLHAUS“ (T.od  O.hne L.angfristig  L.ebenswerte  H.offnung  A.ll  U.nseres  S.eins ), while studying in the Gymnasium Sonthofen. Our first and only public Concert (Winter 1994) took place WITHOUT us, since we were NOT informed about it right in time. As NOBODY could be found for playing the bass, the „Band“ never grew to bigger extent than 3 men (additional Guitar-Player Andreas Reck joined in late 1993). And 1994 had been the year of the tacit disbandment, too. The project just diverged without comment. Some „easy & silly listening“-Folk-Rock-Band took the name TOLLHAUS for their Band…and I named my solo-project „WahnMache / MahnWache“ as an equivocation to the German word for a „political or admonishing vigil“ and the „making of madness“. It now is a solo-project, but it does not necessarily NEED to stay one, right ? ;-) Please help to develop these recordings into full wholesome songs with any instrument that would help to complement the expression of it. Strongly demanded would be Drums and Bass …but any other instrument is wellcome, too, as far as it can be useful to transport the emotional message of this music MORE, or in a new and interesting way. The main Prerequisite is, that the Music of Wahnmache/Mahnwache strictly remeins NONcommercial ! Or else it will lose its Vividness, deep Expressiveness, Meaning & Message ! Please, let me know, WHAT your interpretation and supplement of my music will sound like. OK ?

Werdegang & Absicht von Wahnmache/ MahnWache: —————————————————————————
Gegründet um etwa 1991 herum, von Gerhard Martin ( Gitarren & Keyboard & Schlagzeug) & Daniel Robert Oelbauer ( Schlagzeug & Violine/Geige), als "TOLLHAUS" (T.od   O.hne  L.angfristig  L.ebenswerte  H.offnung  A.ll  U.nseres  S.eins ), während der Schulzeit am Gynmasium Sonthofen.
Unser erstes und einziges öffentliches Konzert (Winter 1994) fand OHNE uns statt, da wir NICHT rechtzeitig darüber informiert wurden.
Weil NIEMAND als Bass-Spieler gefunden werden konnte, wuchs die "Band" nie größer heran, als 3 Männer ( der zusätzliche Neueinsteiger-Gitarrist Andreas Reck kam später im Jahr 1993 mit hinzu).
Und 1994 war auch das Jahr der stillschweigenden Auflösung. Das Projekt verlief sich ohne ausdrücklichen Schlußpunkt.
Eine alberne "Easy-Listening-FOLK-ROCK-Gruppe" trat mit unserem Bandnamen "TOLLHAUS" öffentlich in Erscheinung.... und ich taufte mein (jetzt) Solo-Projekt  "Wahnmache/Mahnwache". Es ist nunmehr ein Einzel-Projekt , aber es braucht ja nicht notwendigerweise eines zu bleiben, oder ? ;-)
Bitte hilf, diese Aufnahmen zu ganzen, kompletten (instrumentalen) Musikstücken weiterzuentwickeln, mit jedwedem Instrument, welches die Ausdrucksfähigkeit ergänzen oder sogar erweitern helfen könnte. Besonders gefragt wären Schlagzeug und Bass ... aber auch jedes andere Instrument ist willkommen, solange es die emotional-gedankliche Botschaft dieser Musik vermitteln kann, oder in einer neuen , interessanten Art & Weise bereichern kann.Grundsätzliche Voraussetzung ist dabei allerdings, daß die Musik von Wahnmache/mahnwache strikt UNkomerziell bleibt ! Andernfalls würde sie ihre Lebendigkeit, tiefe Ausdrucksstärke, Bedeutung & Botschaft verlieren !
