AAAA TYSMMMM IM SO GLAD YOU LIKE MY OC, MBAJSBAJBHSA….!!!!!! Also, heckkk yeah ill tell you about them!!!!!! I’ve been dying to talk about B the moment i started writing a story for them LMAOO,,, ofc this will include spoilers lol

B is the tallest disassembly, they’re also the laziest… they do NOT want to do their job LMAO. They’re probably J’s least favorite because of how lazy they are. They like to sleep, a lot, and when i say a lot i mean ALOT. This is mostly to escape their issues, but its also because they’re always exhausted LOOL… due to not hunting a lot, N usually brings them worker drones to eat so they dont overheat and die, he cares for them a lot !!!!! I wouldn’t call their relationship with J rivalry, but they both DEFINITELY hate each other JAJAJJAJA,,, as for B and V… i ship them,, loll,,, in fact, in my mind they start dating after ep 3!!!

(Here’s a description thing i made for B before drawing them…) Serial Designation B, other known as Bunny or simply just B, is more laid back and simple minded compared to their companions. They really don’t care about most things, and prefer to sit back and watch. They’re lazy, and disobedient (their ass does NOT follow orders from J.) When hunting, it’s common for them to stalk their “prey” before killing, (while this is rare, since they don’t want to do their job and barely hunt 😭) They’re often sarcastic, and rude, (Towards J mainly) and make dead toned jokes at the worst times possible.

In the Mansion days, B used to be quiet, and overly nervous. They were self conscious and hyperactive at times, feeling abnormal being the tallest drone at the time. Despite Tessa’s encouragement to socialize, they were more distant with the other drones, sneaking off during work hours to avoid getting caught in any social situations. They’re easily bully-able, (cough cough, J, cough cough.) and usually get pushed around by the other drones. When they aren’t anxiously running around as a maid, they sneak away to play piano in the library. No one usually ventures in there, so that’s why they like to spent most of their time alone there, playing till their hearts content in secret. That is before N heard them playing one day JSJAHSJA

Kaoru was the most impressive man Yuuyu knew by all means. He was handsome, and caring, and even though it was very telling of her own behavior, he could actually remember the things he needed to do on top of being her manager. But now, that her career as a duelist was getting so big to the point she needed a manager, to her own disappointment, she had to actually be an adult and take care of her responsibilities.

Yuuyu didn’t make a habit of sleeping in, always waking up at 4:15 to prepare pastries for the cafe Vanilla graciously left in her care. Although he was no longer with her, he couldn’t let him down, no matter where he was.

Yuuyu stretched her arms, flipping over her fluffy white blanket and getting out of her bed. No matter how early it was, she was dedicated to her work. Slipping on her shoes, and pulling her sweater onto her slim arms, she pulled herself down the stairs to open up the door to the entrance to the backdoor of the cafe.

To her surprise, the lights were already on. She must’ve forgotten to turn them off before closing up shop. No matter, just a slip up.

But the moment she stepped out of the kitchen to the front of the store, there he was.

Kaoru.

“Oh, Yuuyu!” He perked up, standing in front of a table. “I should’ve called you before coming in, I was just setting tables. Because last time we met, you gave me an extra key in case I needed to get to you, and I just thought you needed some help.

“Oh, no, it’s fine!” Yuuyu slowly walked over to him, feeling somewhat embarrassed for coming down without getting properly dressed to see him. Kaoru wasn’t too formal with what he wore, always a softly colored turtleneck or a sweater with jeans. They fit him oh so well. “You already finished setting them this quick? You must’ve gotten up earlier than me.” Her voice was soft, although still somewhat groggy. The sun had barely come up, after all.

“Do you need help with anything else? I’m free until about 1, I think.” Kaoru asked, turning over to face her.

“I was just about to prepare dough for some croissants, nothing else..” She played with her cotton candy colored hair, trying to avert eye contact to the best she could, “You can get some butter from the fridge and roll it out on a sheet pan while I make the dough. But I wouldn’t wanna trouble you, of course!”

“Please, you never do. It’s a joy to be around you.”

Was it really?

Following Vanillas untimely passing, she wasn’t sure what to do with herself. She’d work herself into the night, and whenever she wasn’t she was locked up in her room, mouth growing thick and venomous with silence. The hours kept passing by, and she never left her house, or touched her deck as the sky shifted and cicadas died. No matter how worried Trip or Hana or, hell, that kind boy, Pit, from nextdoor was, they were to hesitant on knocking on her door to do much.

She didn’t see herself as much of a joy to be around. Her mood swings were awful, whenever she wasn’t putting on a smile and wearing a frilly apron to serve pastries to people she was either rotting away in her bed, scrolling through her phone trying to ignore all of the texts they’d sent together, or crying, not saying a word to anyone unless spoken to first.

But she slowly climbed out of that home, but even then, at times she couldn’t help but miss him. At least there was Kaoru to distract from it.

Yuuyu had taken up dueling in her free time, she’d competed in the Glacé Cup and even though she’d lost it didn’t remove her status as a popular duelist, or any of the friends she’d made, leading her to meet Kaoru.

Her first meeting with him was something she would never forget, she was sure. Just as every other meeting they’d had, even this one.

The two had eventually moved to the kitchen, Yuuyu grabbing a bag of flour from the cabinet and a few measuring cups, just before setting them on the kitchen island. “The pans are in the bottom left cabinet, the rolling pin in the drawer under the sink, next to the big knife.”

“Oh, and don’t forget to grab an apron from the side.

Kaorus expression was just a soft smile, rolling out a stick of butter onto the pan just as Yuuyu had asked so she could roll it into the dough she was preparing. His features were so femininely beautiful, yet so impossibly handsome and masculine.

“Why’d you come here so early, anyway? Not even Hana is up this early, and she works here.” Yuuyu lightly chuckled. “Like I said, I thought you’d need the extra help.”

Even then, his delicate hands kept the same motions. “No, really. I know you, give me the actual reason.”

Running the cafe had become somewhat harder these days, especially after the final duel of the Glacé Cup between Yuuyu and a person she’d rather not name. It was almost like the first days Vanilla had joined The Eight, and the door was practically bust down by all the preteen girls who fancied him.

“Okay, you got me. Maybe I just like spending time with you, what are you gonna do about that?” He turned his head to her once more, smirking.

“Awfully sweet of you, Kaoru.”

“Not as sweet as these croissants, I’m sure. These are gonna be chocolate, right?”

“How’d you know?” She perked up, noticing the carefully handwritten recipe book she’d kept was in the wrong place, being on the kitchen island instead of on the front counter. “I read your recipe book, and I bought one while you weren’t working. They’re to die for, you know. Guess it’s just you working your magic!”

“You could say that..” Yuuyu couldn’t help but blush.

“But speaking of chocolate, fetch me a knife and a bar of it from the freezer.” Yuuyu asked, noticing that Kaoru was done with the butter, having perfectly rolled it into a perfect square which she would fold into the pastry dough.

”Of course, anything for you.”

Anything?

“You can chop that up, boil it over the stove, and make sure to mix it so it doesn’t stick. And put it in a piping bag when it’s done, too.”

Kaoru nodded, doing just as she said. “I really do enjoy spending time with you, y’know. I don’t get much done at home other than just doing paperwork.”

“Even if it’s just making stuff for the cafe, I’m glad.”

Yuuyu’s earlier blush only came from flattery, but this one, was from pure affection. She couldn’t really believe someone could go out of their way to wake up so early just to help her bake some pastries that they wouldn’t even get to eat. “Th.. Thank you..”

“Really, it’s nothing. Just my pleasure.”

“I know things have been hard for you, they really have been, and I’m sure you don’t want to admit it. Just, know I’m here.”

“Even if I’m just your manager, I’m your friend, no, more than your friend, honestly. Don’t be afraid to come to me, okay? I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.” Kaorus smile was soft, even softer than his earlier one, so as to make Yuuyu’s heart melt within her own chest. It was simply too much for her.

Kaoru turned off the stove, licking the partially chocolate covered spoon off with his own tongue. Normally, she would’ve scolded him for it, but she’d let him have this just this once. Just as a treat.

He’d said earlier that these croissants were sweeter than his own actions, but Yuuyu was certain he was even sweeter, to a tooth-rotting degree.

And as Kaoru walked to the cabinet to grab that piping bag, Yuuyu was sure of something as a smile, almost as soft as his, creeped onto her own face.

She was sure that she loved Kaoru, even though he hadn’t said it.

#56 Twelve things that will get me through Chemo (because I say they will.)

So, the doctors would like me to do six sessions of chemo, but they say depending on how I react (if badly) it may only be four or even two – which obviously is far less satisfactory in the ‘never having to worry about this shit again’ stakes. That means this is going to be an endurance game. I am going to win because my reserves of spite and bloody-mindedness are deeper than the Mariana Trench. Also, because I’m not above cheating, I have a list of charms that will get me through...

Cadbury’s Milk Chocolate Little Bars. (Thin milk chocolate that tastes like childhood.) Do I even know if I can eat these when ill? No idea. Will the simple thought of them sustain me? Yes.

Several audio books, including: The Locked Tomb Series (utterly mental, only just stared it and it's insane but good), Sandman (amazing AF - the audio is as good as the comics and and better than the NF series, that's saying something), Johannes Cabal (really good fun pulp fiction), Piranesi (so dreamy and strange AF), A Darker Shade of Magic (doom upon magical world-walking doom), Nettle & Bone (not read yet but sounds great), and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel (Regency magicians. A little Austin, a little historical, a little faerytale, a long read or listen but it will enchant you either way and you'll never be free.)

Ginger chews for sugar and anti-nausea properties. Also they are tasty and the packaging rocks.

Anti-nausea wrist bands. It's very basic acupuncture / pressure point without needles, but it works very well.

Warm socks and flompy comfy clothes (Yes I have those slippers, no I probably won't take them to hospital, but you get my point.)

Cats, and plush purple cats. Only the small purple ones can come to the hospital, obviously, but I know the real ones will sleep on me as soon as I’m home. (This isn't Spindle or Treacle, I feel I should start some sort of call for all the little Bang On The Door purple long legged cats so I can give them more siblings - seriously please give me all the little purple long-legged idiots.)

My Spell Coat scarf and paper stars. (If you don't know about Spell Coats, watch the Jim Henson's Storyteller for the aesthetics or read Diana Wynne Jones - you may know her from Howl's Moving Castle, but definitely read The Dalemark Quartet.) The point is, you can weave a story to make it true. This masterpiece was made by the amazing Cassandra-Kate. I shall wear the scarf and hand out the paper stars she crafted to anyone who looks like they need them.

Protein drinks. Since I have no idea how ill I may feel or how up to eating actual food I will be, I’ve ordered some vanilla flavoured protein powder in case there are days where I have to rely on milkshakes.

Creativity. When I can paint or write I will. When I can’t, I shall just splat and read or watch films. (I picked the first pic that came up on my hard drive to represent this and I do not recall what sketchbook that came from or wtf I was doing - I don't even think I have it here - but I guess it's sort of valid? Half-dead-alive-girl. Shit.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen. A free phone game where you pass challenges by styling different outfits. Very anime cute and pretty. (I’m Bedlam in game if you want to be friends, and my styling association is Witch House which you’re very welcome to join.)

A new wig or possibly two. Two, in fact. One thanks to Kal and one thanks to DT - I am very grateful for beautiful feathers!

Coconut water. It tastes like the essence of liquid biscuits - Digestive Biscuits - which if you aren't from the UK won't mean much. Let's say 'healthy cookie water' to you heathens I apparently live with now.

I will not do tickle tools, if your character has wings or a tail then I will allow it. But that’s it.

General Headcanons

Niki uses she/her pronouns but does not mind they/them!

She is a very light hearted person, none for her bubbly and sweet personality. But she is known to be a little feral around people she is comfortable with. She’s very clingy but only shows it subtly around people. Example being following someone around, standing close to someone, occasionally holding hands if the person is comfortable with it, hugging people, side hugs. She never lets go first when she’s hugging people. She would be usually be way more clingy but she’s kind of shy to show it. 

She is a very sleepy gal she is almost always tired and always taking naps wether they are 10 minutes to hours long and although it might be because she loves to stay up at night and watch the sunrise in the morning she usually gets good sleep she is just a napper

Appearance

Niki has scars, not a lot, but they are there (and they are a little ticklish but shhhh)

Short choppy pink hair, with two braids on the sides. It’s surprisingly really fluffy.

She is usually wearing light makeup because she likes how it makes her feel pretty. 

Niki has light eye bags, barely noticeable. 

Niki loves cardigans and sweaters, she was one in particular that she loves to wear for all seasons (it’s one that she stole from Wilbur) it’s a nice faded blue with a sun with a smiley face on it. She swears she didn’t steal it. Most of her clothing is faded colors, or whites and beiges. She has one pair of platform shoes, but the rest of her shoes are usually colorful high top converse or boots. She has knitted Shruggies and skirts, usually worn in the winter. 

If it’s more of a formal type of thing, she’ll wear a flowy dress made of soft material. She likes the way it swishes when she spins :]

As someone who has been replaying BIS recently, I feel like you perfectly encapsulated the safe scene with Bowser. Even when I was younger I felt terrible for the guy and just wanted to get him out of there as soon as possible- and the fact that once he's finally free Starlow's still mean to him even though he's ASKING FOR HELP and even says PLEASE? It's kinda infuriating. That being said, I love Bowser angst, please do more :) /nf

After watching the Super Mario Bros movie I couldn't help but think a lot about how they shoved Bowser into a jar and put him in a cage, and even though he kinda deserved it he's basically all alone with only snarky guards begging him to shut up, which seems like an incredibly miserable and isolating experience. He had been ranting to Mario during their fight about how he was "finally going to be happy" and that he was going to make him suffer as he does.

I think in some way this sort of vengeance is a twisted sort of empathy. Bowser is so miserable and lonely that he's willing to hurt someone else because he wants someone to understand his pain. But even before any of this went down he had an army of loyal followers that he'd party with, and even with all that he was unhappy. So for him to lose even their company to be stuck all alone in a birdcage?

Thinking about all that is what prompted me to start this blog about Bowser, and then later I was recommended the DS game. And let me tell you, it is the best Mario game I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

I too was genuinely upset by the safe scene and felt like he DID NOT deserve what happened to him, especially being betrayed by his own minions like that and being treated like garbage. It felt weird, because he's the bad guy but I had gotten quite emotionally invested in him over the course of the game.

My theme for this assignment is positivity. I chose this theme not only because I wanted it to fit my blog but also for the fact that a few of these are songs that I listen to frequently to get me motivated or uplifted. Why Worry from Set It Off promotes cheerfulness where the singer stresses the importance of not worrying about the little things in life and instead facing those events with a more optimistic approach. When I Grow Up by NF takes a more pessimistic approach but the main idea behind it is to not give up even though there may be many obstacles in your way. NF is basically telling his listeners to follow their dreams despite what others may say or think. Ours by Taylor Swift is often mistaken as just another love song because that’s what she’s known for. However, I believe there to be a deeper message in her song. Specifically with the lyric, “Don’t you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine.” This could mean that people make fun of others out of their jealousy towards them about what they have going on that they don’t have. So she’s trying to tell her listeners to not be concerned about what jealous people say because you have something that they want but cannot have. The next song I chose is an older song from Nina Simone called Feeling Good and is actually still used today in things like commercials. Its upbeat tempo causes listeners to also feel good which is probably why commercials like to use the song as a way to promote their products. According to Nina Simone she wrote this song because the world cannot take away her inner freedom no matter what happens. An even older song that I chose is Beethoven’s Ode To Joy which I discovered in high school while taking a couple piano classes. This is a classical piece that is said to bring about the feeling of hope and unity and is actually Europe’s Anthem. Last but not least, Sia’s song Titanium is about being resilient. Her lyric, “Shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium.” Is about her being stronger than words and how they cannot bring her enough harm for her to stop doing what she’s doing. This song is considered electronic due to the electronic breaks throughout the song usually after she states that she is titanium. All of these songs tied together bring about a really strong message. Be more optimistic in life, follow your dreams, don’t listen to jealous people when you do succeed in following your dreams, be free to do what you please, be hopeful and work together when needed, and finally be resilient.
