#idk if this is an unpopular opinion but i genuinely operate on the assumption that the writers never think of the storylines #(and the indications of their writing choices in the broader frame) as much as the fans do #not in the way that im criticizing their intelligence or anything like that i just dont think this is the type of show written like that #like idt when they were writing the sperm donor storyline they were considering buck's broader storyline re being conceived as spare parts #or that what name the characters call buck has that much of a deep meaning like yes i have my own headcanons about tommy calling buck evan #but idt it was a direction given to lou because tommy is meant to be seen as special/different from other LIs/characters #i dont even think they considered the moment buck told his parents not to call him that #not saying nothing has staying consequences in the show obv but it's like whatever the character has to get from it happens in that arc and #then we move on #there are some defining traumas that come back like bobby's family madney and doug and eddie losing shannon #but i usually watch the storylines contained to that arc #not as a part of the lore that the writers will always be vigilant of as they keep building on these characters #at least not to the degree a fandom does #this is why i never speculate based on previous storylines l #not beyond “this would have a lot of potential if they went that route”#no one in that writers room thinks about character lore and the nuances of characterization as obsessed fans is what ill say #does*

going around the grove on this save after so recently doing act 2 on another save made me realise that you never see Okta again. you don’t find her with the other tiefling corpses, she isn’t in Last Light, and you can’t find her in the city

what we DO know as a fact is that Silfy made it to the city, despite not being in Last Light, and that she actually managed to get into the Lower City and not just get stopped at the city limits like most of the tieflings. so what I’m headcanoning is that Okta and Silfy got separated from the others when the Absolute cultists attacked. Okta managed to protect Silfy from the shadow-curse (she had a torch and her old lady rage) and got her safely to Baldur’s Gate. When they got there, Okta is obviously a cook used to working with reduced rations and providing for a lot of people, so she was allowed in on the condition that she work preparing food for the people of the Gate, and she was allowed to bring Silfy in with her

for further self-indulgence she was protecting Doni as well and he’s back at the tiny place the three of them are staying in because the city is too overstimulating for him to be a paper seller like Silfy

#i THINK she’s the only unaccounted for adult but now i think about it do you find Tilses with the corpses?#I don’t think you do AND she’s used to fighting I can allow myself to think that she protected Meli and Zaki #since we don’t see any of the kids’ corpses I can only think they all survived #she took them a different route. maybe they didn’t end up going to the Gate yet. maybe they went back towards the Grove or something #stopping to camp in the wilderness there #and one night they see a brilliant white light streak through the sky even from outside the lands #and when they go over the next morning they see the curse is gone #I love to hc the safety of individuals we never see again too many of them died already #least I can do is imagine the kids made it alive

well that was something

#angryborzois rambles #holy shit this is a long story #basically as a class we all went to this historic place on the top of a mountain (we had to do a long hike to get up there)#and a friend and i decided to stay afterward to mess around #my friend wanted to reenact kny scenes so i was like ok lets do it (shh we're idiots with zero brain cells)#and the place was pretty cool to hang out in soo why not #but soon it started thundering in the distance so we decided to start heading down the mountain #it was all shits and laughs until we made it down the mountain (tho we heard a weird noise once and got scared bc what if its a boar)#once down the mountain we had to navigate the woods around the area to get to the station #it was a very long route and on top of that it started pouring heavily #and anyway we walked for a long ass time in the rain when we encountered a suspicious person #it didnt help that before we saw this guy we saw a poster for a wanted criminal in the area #the guy was way ahead of us but we sensed bad vibes from him so we tried to let him walk ahead but he just...waited for us??#(he was in the direction we needed to go)#for a couple minutes we tried to trail way behind him but every time we stopped to let him walk on he would suddenly stop and stall #after a while we completely stopped for a few minutes to observe and in response he hid in the bushes?? so we decided something was def up #we were very alarmed and we quietly snuck out of his view and then ran for it #i genuinely worried that maybe we were gonna get killed in these woods #we backtracked a little and took a different path that went in the direction we needed to go #i was a little concerned because at one point the path had an intersection that merged with the first path we were in #but i didnt want to risk cutting through pure woods and i wanted to be at the very least on an animal trail than anything so no choice ig #and so we quietly snuck past the intersection but thankfully no one was around #a few minutes after that we heard a weird radio voice?? so we freaked out and ran the rest (prob unrelated but u can never be too sure)#and after a while of pure stress we made it out of the woods and to civilization #i was drenched but oh boy i was so happy #my friend and i agreed though that it was fucked up that we had to be more scared of a human than the wilderness #but everything after that was fine #im honestly glad it was pouring though because i think it helped cover the sounds of us getting away #well tbh i have a feeling he prob saw us get away but just didnt bother chasing bc the paths were muddy as hell and he was kinda far #but yeah that was def smthing

#funny story the shop I got it from was DODGY AS like it was some sort of charity shop in that it was all second hand #and super cheap and there weren’t multiple of the same item #but it was brand new and full of like. white light and shiny metal and it was empty when i went in there and it was just men #working and they like. shadowed me as i went down the aisles and the cashier was SO weird #like came around the till to stand in front of me to hand me the bag and just generally v shifty #and the bag was bright pink but had no print or text on it and basically long story short #I was so unsettled that I genuinely convinced myself that the bag was some sort of mark and it was all a front for like. actual traffickers #or some shit 😭😭 like I binned the bag on my way home and shoved the skirt in my tote then took a different route LMAO #but I got the skirt for a fiver so… worth it. i mean what who said that #ask #feel the need to mention the place is also shut down now like it was open maybe one week and then shut down 😀#hella’s wardrobe
