I just wanna say something real quick.

I love all of you so much, and don't get me wrong, I love seeing you guys read my work.

Please don't take this the wrong way.

Why don't you guys reblog? I'm just looking at the like to reblog ratio on my most recent fics and drabbles and it's honestly so disappointing. And it's not just on my fics, I've noticed it on my friends fics too.

Here are two examples:

And yeah, those reblog numbers aren't the lowest but you've gotta keep in mind that a lot of those are me responding to comments or doing timezone reblogs to make sure my friends are seeing it in the first place. So, half those numbers at least is how many people are sharing my work with their friends. Half.

Tumblr doesn't work like twitter or tiktok or any of the other social media platforms where likes get your work circling the community. On tumblr, only reblogs do that.

And why wouldn't you want to share something you enjoyed? Because you'll be embarrassed? Because people might think "oh this person's weird" and unfollow you? If that's what they think of you, then they weren't worth keeping on your page in the first place.

Surround yourself with people and blogs who're into the same things you are. Who's gonna see you share a fic and go "ooo lemme read it too."

Reblogging is how you support authors on this hellsite, and I don't think we're asking for much when we ask you to share our work. You don't even have to put anything in the tags or write a comment if you don't want to - it's okay. Seeing you share it is more than enough. (Though we do love seeing your reactions)

Please. Support your authors. Show them some love. Share their work.

so um anyway jiang cheng canonically does not consider wei wuxian a servant—let alone “just a servant”—and does not treat him like one. idk where this idea came from but it is factually untrue.

in fact, jc repeatedly indicates that he thinks wwx’s station is on par with other gentry, that he likes the idea of being part of a pair with wwx, and even jokes with wwx, mocking the notion that wwx could be a servant.

after wwx was taken in, they were functionally raised as equals, and there is nothing in their interactions as youths that indicates or even hints that their relationship was master/servant instead of simply childhood friends.

and obviously wwx is not sect leader, so yeah, he is expected to defer to jc after the war, (and that’s not an inherently bad thing, that’s how leadership works) but jc lets him get away with SO much shit that Would Not Fly if wwx were a servant (or treated like one). if jc only regarded wwx as a servant, there is literally no reason to be as lenient as jc was with wwx’s loose canon tendencies.

i’m sorry, but there is simply no valid reading of their relationship where the dynamic of their relationship is master/servant. their relationship simply is not built on obligation, as much as they both try to act like it. this assumption undercuts a huge amount of context and motivation, leaving nonsensical character decisions and gaping plot holes. there is no mdzs unless they care about each other as individuals.

these first time survival show fans up in arms about shanbin actually using his rightful benefit of being able to push out whoever he wants for any position he wants are soft and would not survive a harsh winter. like be serious did they think that mr. forever p01 who’s been scratching and clawing and working for YEARS to make his way into the (deserved) spotlight for years is going to sit back and take subvocal 6? shanbin is really gracious and kind to the others AND he’s got a spine of steel and won’t hesitate to take the parts that he wants. both can be true! also this year there is a bigger benefit for the top spot than ever before like in previous seasons you just got to be the nominal center but this time you get a solo song. and that boy wants it. why should he ease up on the gas now when he’s so close to the finish? no ofc he should go in for the kill. shanbin i LOVE u.

I say that I’m trying to learn amane’s gameplay and I do get it, however it’s more so that my brain defaults to playing (and thinking) as a rushdown character compared to playing a zoner - which is what aname is. Like his only real option for close combat is his drill special attack, and another special move but most of what he has is just long ranged attacks. Maybe if I played more zoner characters in fighting games then perhaps I might be able to get the hang of him a little more but we’ll have to wait and see.
