Secondo ⸸ The Phantom of the Opera

He may not seem like it, but he's a romantic at heart

In Papaganda, Special Ghoul said “Papa is from the same bloodline as Leonard Cohen and Dracula, Phantom of the Opera, all the Vincent Price's and Don Corleone's.”, so it's only fitting that POTO would be his favourite musical

The Phantom being a misunderstood, scary-looking, lonely, 'miserable old wounded bitter man' who just craves companionship and understanding? Sounds familiar.

Terzo ⸸ The Rocky Horror Picture Show

It's spooky and queer and horny just like him <3

Terzo (especially in the From the Pinnacle to the Pit and Square Hammer mvs) gives me the vibes of someone who would be into both witchcraft AND science alike, I can just picture him in his secret lab doing his silly little mischievous rituals and experiments and his gayass would DEFINITELY try to 'make a man to relieve his tension' (that's how he ended up summoning Omega)

I bet he made Omega dress up as Rocky (while he dressed up as Frank-n-Furter, of course) at least once, perhaps on Halloween (hc inspired by these two gorgeous fanarts)

BOOK REVIEW 📖

This is the one for February – I was reminded of this book half way through the month and decided to reread it again because I couldn't remember how it ended; plus a short mystery is always nice to read (side note: this ended up as an ebook read bc I couldn't remember where in my storage boxes I have my copy – it's in storage because it's a paperback edition and old and I don't want it to die on me yet lol)

i think there's smth to be said about kids spending so much time on tiktok that they think they have to censor everything they say on social media and out loud

and the fact that it's not actually the algorithm shadowbanning them for saying sex or fuck or whatever all else but it's just bc the algorithm fucking sucks like all algorithms do bc of who makes them

and the fact that despite all this, kids spending too much time on tiktok will unabashedly say the n-word in public forums (on- or offline)

but i think that is a nuanced discussion that should not ever occur on a website like this

hear me out. stoic and patient character (he xuan/shockwave) tricks usually cheerful and naive character (sqx/blurr) by befriending them with another identity (ming yi/longarm)

of course he xuan does it for revenge and it's very much directed at sqx's brother instead of sqx himself, and as i said before, i haven't watched tfa BUT shockwave is a con so. i assume he did all that (pretending to be longarm and befriending blurr) because of megatron's orders??? but still, going far into pretending to be someone else and making friends with an autobot is like. a very elaborated plan i would say

so i'm not sure if what shockwve did was for himself or if megatron ordered him to. i could just watch the episodes where this plot is adressed or i could read the wiki SJDKSJD i'll probably do the latter.

anyway i was like ohmygod. the parallels here. something something tragic about having a close/intimate friend only to realize later you've been tricked and that's not the friend you thought you once knew. something something tragic about making such an elaborate plan pretending to be someone else to achieve your own goals and then revealing your actual identity to the 'friend' you've been deceiving this whole time and watching them fall apart
