Hunt vs. Hunted AU
(a.k.a Vampire Wally AU)
Meet the Cast Part 1 || 2 || 3
Poppy gets her own canvas because im biased--jk
A lil bit of infordump for each character :3
Frank ★ Gargoyle
Frankie boi is a doctor in his eyes. He's labelled a quack and a criminal by many because he practices medicine without a doctor's license, which is illegal. That and several reports of unethical experiments, but mostly because he doesn't have a license.
He met Wally through Barnaby who asked for him to heal the vampire (who was injured at the time) in exchange for shelter and protection from bounty hunters
Julie ★ Demon
Bbg was summoned by a cult who was immediately apprehended by police officials. With no way to go back home, she moved from place to place being a menace to society
She eventually found her way into Wally's Mansion and became their tenant
Sally ★ San Elmo
Okioki so San Elmo is a Philippine mythological creature which is basically just a ball of fire-- anyways, Sally came down to earth to experience the earth life but then became a local deity à la burning person = God
She ended up burning a whole city and Wally, who was there to witness shit go down, decided to take her in because accidental genocide is a "same hat" moment
Poppy ★ Phoenix
Poppy is an angel. She is the definition of perfect, she has no flaws whatsoever-- she's also the last of her kind.
Poppy, alongside Barnaby, was the one to find Wally at his weakest and help nurture him back to health (literally an angel, how can anybody hate her)
Also some extra sketches of Sally + Barnaby

i suppose i should do a little check in... i managed to finish ch3 of blood choke for nanowrimo (yay) but i'm still not where i want to be with tnp (boo)
it's been slow going... in general after the blood choke update my motivation kinda dropped more than i was expecting, which was foolish given the time of year. holidays are always a pain since i work retail....
anyways all that to say that i'm currently working on tnp. blood choke has shifted to the backburner - i'm still working on that, too, but my main focus now is to finish the ch2 blackwater route for tnp. i've also relegated my other projects to backburner as well. i really want to finish this damn tnp chapter before anything else at this point lmfao
i'm also going to be hosting a jam (which i'll announce tomorrow) along with some of my pals that will be through jan-feb, and i have a short game planned for that which i don't think will take up too much of my time.
thanks everyone for your patience and for sticking around as always 💗 i know it's been a long time and i appreciate the support you all still show me for this story.

(Full drawing here)
So now that the Faerie Court skins are here (and of course these two didn't get in, who would've guessed lmao) there's finally some lore for that universe too, and I eh...was quite shocked to find out they actually mention Seelie/Unseelie in Karmas voice lines.
I went my own way with that drawing without any intentions for it to fit into the universe at all, fully expecting it to become something element based like with Tinkerbell. But nope. Out of all the times I drew faerie stuff for them THIS one turned out the most accurate, the one where I didn't even try to connect.
Because of that I felt like sharing some of the story I had in mind when drawing this. When we get the skin bios I might wanna try add to it according to the skin universe.
(Edit)
I was already sort of planning for Unseelie TF to have these pale glowy irises+dark eyes....exactly what Katarina has, who seems to be a former Unseelie. Which added to my surprise;;;

out of curiosity whats your favorite fob album/ song and if you cant pick feel free to give like a top 3/5 not necessarily in order bc if someone asks me to rank their albums ill die trying to compare folie and stardust anyways lol long way to say tell me about fob songs/ albyms you like
amazing ask! this is what i look forward to in life. i will go by album because songs are too hard
folie was there for me in the formative years so it will always be my special number 1 due to that fact AND that there are genuinely no skips (unless you're a little too sad for what a catch donnie, which is entirely understandable)
i was going to put save rock and roll as my number 2 album but i think it will actually be placed at number 3 because i treat that album like fine china. i listened to it SO much when i was 13 that now i only break it out for special occasions as to not ruin its power.
so then i'd say stardust for number 2 because it's newer and i have lots of time to cherish it!
for 4 it's gotta be tttyg... sorry... someone said they don't associate with that album anymore but unfortunately it's perfect in almost every single way (i don't keep up with their fan base enough to verify if the statement that they don't associate with it anymore is actually TRUE, so if someone knows feel free to share)
and 5? ab/ap... i got into them during that era and that is when i saw them live. i wish i could tell you more about how that concert went to, but it was 8 years ago and the memories are a little foggy. i remember losing my mind when they busted out the piano for sr&r though. it was emo in that building. i should see if i have any old concert videos saved somewhere!
this was fun! thanks for the ask <3

Purple and pink for the Fanfic ask game 😊
Oooh, these are fun!! Thanks for the questions!
💜 Purple: Name one song you're listening to while writing your next/current fanfic. How or why does it help the writing process?
This is not easy to answer because all I've been listening to lately is Beyonce's latest album, Cowboy Carter, lmao. I do usually listen to specific music when writing though! If I can associate a song (or a playlist) to a certain WIP, it's easier to get into the right mood and flow to write it (and it also makes the whole writing process even more enjoyable!)
Before Beyoncé dropped Cowboy Carter, for my most complete WIP I'd been listening to a lot of Nat King Cole, especially Impossible (I found it by chance while listening to his discography and fell in love -- it's so dreamy!). I'll be sure to go back to it soon enough!
🩷 Pink: Do you find a certain character (or characters) easy to write? More difficult -- and if so, do you avoid writing that character (or those characters) when possible?
Oh yes, definitely, I find some easier to write than others! Sometimes a character is easier to write because they're similar to me in some ways (this is what happens with Dorothy, for example, and Crowley from Good Omens!), other times I just (feel like I) have a good handle on what compels them, what their internal dialogue might be like, and how they approach the world (like with Blanche).
I don't think I avoid writing either easier or harder characters, though. I might naturally gravitate towards certain POVs, but whenever I'm working on a scene, I take a moment to consider which POV might be best and whose thoughts would be fun to explore during that scene. Most of the time, the answer is immediate -- i hope you do believe me [...], for example, was always going to be told from Blanche's POV; it made no sense otherwise. Sometimes I do have to think about it a bit harder, and I've rewritten entire scenes from different characters' POVs in the past, just to see what fit best. It's always a fun experiment! No matter the situation, though, I try not to think in terms of ease, but in terms of what would be most effective.
Thanks again for the questions, these were a lot of fun to answer!
