An extremely quiet month, with only 31,000 words written. That's not bad (my minimum is 25k) but I'm sure y'all know I like to aim higher than that most months!

On the writing side, I wrote across multiple stories: Palmarosa, Constellations, The Nascent Diplomat, A Stain that Won't Dissolve, Underline the Black, and Underline the Blue.

We adopted a gorgeous puppy called Tobermory but it's been very overwhelming on a PTSD and autism front (we actually decided to rehome at one point, and then decided to stick it out, but it's been rough). And also just on a 'young puppy life' front lol.

In the months ahead I'll be taking a break in the form of not posting one Underline the Black chapter per month to give me one Sunday-to-Sunday stretch of posting no chapters. I will still be active and around! These aren't holidays from writing or interacting with you all, just from the schedule itself. :D 

I also really want to get stuck into editing Game Theory, it feels like a distant dream right now which is more than a little frustrating, just because of time and energy, but please know it's still high up on my list! I'm also going to start designing/planning the next round of merch soon, so stay tuned for that. :D

General foreword before the rules;

I am only taking asks for Twisted Wonderland; more fandoms may be added later but there is no guarantee.

I can pick and choose what requests I take on.

I only work on one thing at a time. When I'm writing more long-form works, I may take on smaller side projects such as match-ups as a little break so I don't get burnt out writing for one big piece.

I write primarily for a gender-neutral reader; they/them and you are used for the reader's pronouns. I can write for a femme or masc reader, but I am more comfortable with gender-neutral, plus it can allow for more people to interact. The only time I can guarantee using different pronouns for the reader is if it is for a trans reader.

Reminder that your dash is yours, and that for most of us, following and unfollowing isn't a declaration of friendship or value or respect or anything else.

At least, it's not for me. I follow and unfollow liberally and I don't mean anything by it, almost ever. It's not personal. It's very seldom because I suddenly dislike someone. It's just about curating my dash to suit my needs and moods. I've even unfollowed long term mutuals simply because their new hyperfixations vexed me (especially if they didn't tag consistently), and sometimes even refollowed them years later. Just this month I unfollowed someone I've followed for 8+ years (not a mutual but we'd interacted via my fandom sideblog) because our interests had been diverging for a while and I just no longer got any enjoyment from any of her new interests on my dash.

Meaning: I know I don't treat mutual following with the same sanctity as some. Because to me it doesn't dictate whether you/we can interact, chat, be friendly, tag each other, etc. Following someone is about the dash; interacting with someone is about interaction. Those aren't the same, to me.

I say this in part because I'm following about 1.5 - 2x as many blogs right now as I can reasonably handle and still enjoy my own dash, and it's been this way for a while. I'm at the point where I really need to change that. I normally wouldn't bother posting that I'm going on an unfollow stint, but I know that some people actively check and notice these things (I very genuinely do not, for the most part), and get anxious wondering why they were unfollowed. In my case, the reason is that I needed to trim my dash and diversify my content. That's it.
