My High Purity Copper Wire Replacement Audio for my QKZ AK6 Pro IEM review (w/ my paper dolls) - 2nd Half (Final) [Recorded: Dec 8th, 2023]
DeviantART Version: [CLICK ME!]
Hello, December. Here's my 2nd half (and final) of my 'High Purity Copper Wire Replacement Audio' for my QKZ AK6 Pro IEM Earphones, or as I call it my 'audio wire replacement' (, feat. my paper dolls).
• If you haven't seen my '1st half', then please → [CLICK ME!].
BTW: And once again, If you haven't seen my review of QKZ AK6 Pro (from 2022), then I'll provide some links down below. ↓ 😉
My QKZ AK6 Pro IEM Earphones:
• Revealing parcel [Oct 1st, 2022]
• Part 1 (1st half) [Oct 8th, 2022]
• Part 2 (2nd half) [Oct 8th, 2022]
• Part 3 (Final) [Oct 26th, 2022]
So, without further ado, let's get started:
20th & 21st Image(s): ↑
• Here's a preview of installing my two AK6 Pro earpieces to my new 'audio wire replacement'. 🎶🎧🙂 My paper dolls are excited to wear it. Don't you worry, you two. I hope your ears we're fit. Hehe 😅 Nonetheless, here's my 2nd recorded video. 🎦📲
🎦 My Recorded video No. 2 ↑ 📲
• Here's me connecting two audio pieces into one, and it fits perfectly! 🎧🎶😊 Once again, my apologies for the awful background, despite my current smartphone (the Honor 8C) doesn't have noise cancelling / anti-background sound feature. 🚫🎶🏙️📲
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
22nd to 24th Image(s): ↑
• [22nd & 23rd Image] Finally, the installation is complete! Care to wear it, you two? 🎧😊 "Yes, please" said my paper dolls. [24th Image] Mmmmm... 🤔 A-Okay, but uhh... I think, would it better if you two wear my headphones over earphones, Okay? 😊 My paper dolls completely agree.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
25th & 26th Image(s): ↑
• Now, let's go to the actual wear, featuring "ME!". 😊 You can see these photos of mine, they fit well on both of my ears just like before 👂🙂👍. Sound-wise, the sound quality is the same as I expected 🙂🎶👌, but say cannot be said for the quality of ear hooks. You see, upon wearing these or taking off after hours of listening, the material for the ear hooks feels quite flimsy than the original one. 🪢 👂🎧🤔 My OG audio wire's ear hooks used to have a solid bend without worrying about. On top of that, the wiring itself feels quite light, making it easy to snap after a long use (, as I predict 🤔). Not to mention, the slippery and glossy appearance of the wiring. Though, I'm not sure if this replacement could last as long as the original one. But, we'll see in the endurance durability pace for my new audio wire. On the plus side, it is as comfy as before without hurting my ears; not even once.
• As of today (Dec 15th, 2023), I have no issues whatsoever, so far. I've tested it on my Honor 8C phone to see the function of the controls (play/pause, and the volume buttons), and it worked well. And with the volume controls on my IEM earphones, I don't have to reach my phone just to adjust the volume for hearing purposes. 🎧📲😊👍
Overall & Asking Price:
• Despite material differences between the OG and the replacement one, I'd say if your OG audio wire was busted after the lifespan was dead, a replacement for your current IEM earbuds is a better choice. 🎶🎧😊👍 Not only the audio wire replacements deliver the same quality sound as the original, but they also it'll save your budget, as well, if you have existing functional IEM detachable earpieces. Because some people like me, don't want to spend another spare of regular earphones with no detachable feature, right? Well, okay I guess that is debatable (BUT). 🤔Nonetheless, I think every IEM budget owners should buy this if they so desire. 😊
• As for the price, I order it from Shopee PH for only ₱ 145 [CLICK ME!] 🏷️. 🇵🇭🛒🌐 There's also an additional ₱10 for the pouch, but I rather not spending it. Considering, that I have tons of pouches to used. 🙂 There's also available on Lazada PH [CLICK ME!] 🇵🇭🛒🌐, as well albeit a different price than Shopee 🏷️, plus there's a Type C variant and different style choices.
Well, that's the end of my topic, and see you in 2024! 🥂🥳🎇

I guess this might be as good a time as any to get back into (micro)blogging and tumblr. I used to have a tech-focused tumblr blog way back in the day.
I plan on focusing this little blog on gadgets, IEMs and headphones as well as interesting stuff I discover all over the web and the world of technology. Let's see how this goes.
As a starting point, a really awesome new-ish IEM with the ThieAudio Oracle MkII, used to listen to one of the best albums of 2022.

The Future of Audio Unveiled: The Rise of Type-C Earphones
Tumblr media
In an age of continuous technological innovation that reinvents our daily activities, audio is not left out. The introduction of Type-C earphones is a revolution in the way we listen to music and talk and communicate with our devices. The era of twisted wires and connectivity challenges is over; this is the era of effortless and improved sound.
The move away from the headphone jack in favor of the Type-C connector is a step towards a more convenient and user-centered audio future for people. More and more smartphones and gadgets use the Type-C interface, so it is logical that earphones must also adapt. Thus, the transition will simplify the connection process and will allow the implementation of new audio-technical solutions.
The Convenience Factor
The most attractive thing about Type-C earphones is just how convenient and adaptable they are. The reversible connector means that you’ll never have to worry about getting the plug ‘upside down’ ever again. Such a minor thing significantly enhances the user experience by removing a big source of the daily life’s little frustrations. Furthermore, the broad compatibility allows you to use them with your smartphone, tablet, gaming console, laptop, and any other device in the household. There’s no need to purchase an adapter or a dongle to keep using your favorite gadgets.
Superior Audio Quality
In addition to their convenience, Type-C earphones also offer superior audio quality. Thanks to the more advanced digital-to-analog converters and amplifiers, Type-C earphones faithfully recreate the music and other sounds playing on your mobile device with better clarity and detail. In other words, whether you’re a fan listening to your favorite tunes, a professional completing a conference call, or a gamer on the road, Type-C earphones make the mobile audio experience sound better than ever.
Many Type-C earphones also use active noise cancellation to improve their audio quality by blocking out any ambient noise and interrupting the listening experience. This feature will be especially attractive to constant travelers who also use headphones professionally and generally, anyone who enjoys being pulled into their audio content.
Sustainability and Innovation
Finally, global trends towards eco-awareness indicate that the transition to Type-C earphones is also a move to sustainability. By minimizing the necessity for separate headphone jacks and decreasing electronic trash, companies are starting to work in a way that is more environmentally friendly . Moreover, implementing Type-C connectors will enable future audio technology developments, enabling progress and stretching the boundaries of the feasible.
Conclusion
We hope you have enjoyed this preview of the future of audio. Type-C earphones are a groundbreaking solution that demonstrates ongoing innovation and an increased quality of life. They enrich everyday life by providing fewer cable tangles, better noise quality, and more respect for the environment. While their cost might not be accessible to everyone at the moment, the ubiquity of such products in the future will reduce their price range. Whether you are a music lover, a frequent traveler, or a big tech fan, type C is the way to go. Stay ahead of the game and surround yourself with the sound of the future.

ASTROTEC Vesna Wired IEM Earphones Review
This week as part of our month long look at IEM earphones, we managed toget a hold of the new ATROTEC VESNA wired earphones.
Yes i know, iv never heard of this brand either. What we get with the ASTROTEC earphones, is a package that contains 3 sets of ear tips and a type C to 3.5mm adaptor.
The earphones themselves do have a strange design, bullet like casing with a engraved cross mark on the faceplate.
Comfort, i would advise using aftermarket ear tips to provide a better sound seal and fitment as the ones that are supplied are simply too thin and don't stay locked in place.
Audio, Bass is very flat, a rumbling bass line with highs that sound pretty good, nice crisp high tones with mid's that also sound above average with beats but then vocal point ain't great as the mid levels sound a little set back. The sound stage is not too bad but in terms of quality for your money we do think that the ASTRO VESNA earphones are a tad bit high, it would be more fitting to place them in the £8 to £13 price range rather then the £15-£20 price mark they are being advertised for just now.
Nonetheless, if you would like to check out our full review for the ASTROTEC VESSNA earphones, head on over to our YouTube channel right now for more information.

Hello, December. This is it, it's the final month of 2023. And while I have a bunch of items that I would love to review, I want to tackle my recent order that was delivered on Nov 24th of that year. 🙂📦
My paper dolls ask "So, what's inside of that package?". Well, let's find out right now! 😁📦✂️ ↓
🎦 My Recorded video No. 1 ↑ 📲
IMPORTANT NOTE: My apologies for the awful background, despite my current smartphone (the Honor 8C) doesn't have noise cancelling / anti-background sound feature. 🚫🎶🏙️📲

My High Purity Copper Wire Replacement Audio for my QKZ AK6 Pro IEM review (w/ my paper dolls) - 1st Half [Recorded: Dec 8th, 2023]
DeviantART Version: [CLICK ME!]
(3rd & 4th Image(s): ↑)
Here it is! This is my last item review for 2023, the "High Purity Copper Wire Replacement Audio" [Model name: "HC001ABK"] for my existed QKZ AK6 Pro IEM Earphones by the folks of Popcorn Tech. 🙂🎧🎶 Mmmmm... I would like to call it "Audio Wire Replacement", for now on. 🙂 So, will it worked on my current IEM Earphones? Let's find out. 🤔
IMPORTANT NOTE: I know what you thinking, but... They're not actual selling ✌ "popcorn" ✌ foods ❌🍿, no. (as confused as I am) Rather, they're selling tech stuff, aside from audio items. See these for yourself:[Lazada - CLICK ME!], [Shopee - CLICK ME!].
BTW: If you haven't seen my review of QKZ AK6 Pro (from 2022), then I'll provide some links down below. ↓ 😉
My QKZ AK6 Pro IEM Earphones:
• Revealing parcel [Oct 1st, 2022]
• Part 1 (1st half) [Oct 8th, 2022]
• Part 2 (2nd half) [Oct 8th, 2022]
• Part 3 (Final) [Oct 26th, 2022]
So, without further ado, let's get started:

5th to 19th Image(s): ↑
• [5th & 6th Images] Alright so, let's have a comparison with my old one (from the original box), while I'm making an explanation why I bought this replacement. I have a ton of photos, so let's keep rolling.
• The reason why I need it as urgent was because of our new pet bunny 🥰🐰🤗 (yes, we do have a pet domestic rabbit gifted by our related family tree) chewing on my OG audio wire, while I was sleeping at midnight. Apparently, My IEM earphone was felt beside our pet rabbit's cage before it chewed. 🐰 (Reason? Because my parents bought a ton of item goods to sell for our small business, which ended up in our living room) And what you see now (followed by other snapshots) are the remaining pieces of my OG audio wire, and that's why I need a replacement for my current IEM. As I said before, owning an IEM had a huge advantage over ordinary/regular earphones was the ability to detach the earpiece from the old audio wire and in favor of the new one. As for our beloved pet rabbit, we've decided to move to the backyard, along with our beloved mixed breed canine (named "Buster") during the cleaning schedule. 😊🐶
BTW: While I can't show ya our actual pet rabbit, instead here's a video of our exact pet rabbit breed 🥰🐰🤗 → [CLICK ME!]. As for our mixed breed canine? Well, sadly, I have no information on what breed he/she is... Sorry. 🤔 Anyways, let's go back to my review.
• [7th to 19th Images] As I said before, here are the remaining of my OG audio wire from QKZ, completely snapped and chewed by our beloved pet rabbit. Nonetheless, the comparison between my old and new audio wire is completely identical (from the C Pin to the ear hooks, and even the Y-shaped splitter. Not to mention, the material used), almost. 🙂 Because there are notable things that I've found except the yellowish color of the QDC C Pin 🤔, like their controls. [12th & 13th Images] The OG had a single play/pause/call button, while the 'audio wire replacement' had included the volume buttons (alongside the aforementioned one) to prevent reaching our smartphone for adjusting our music sound 🚫✋🎶📲, which is good. 🙂👍 [19th Image] Another one was the missing logo from the new 'audio wire replacement'. Yeah, there's nothing special about it 🤷, since this 'audio wire replacement' had strong compatibility with other IEM brands, not just for QKZ models (like my AK6 Pro), as long as you're using the C Pin variant over other IEM audio pins. 🎶😉
Unfortunately, This is the end of '1st half'. But, fear not because I have the '2nd half', right here. → [CLICK ME!] 😉
Well, that's all for now.

hello fellow worshipper ^^
so from most of II’s drum cams i’ve seen, you can barely hear Vessel’s vocals… like do you think that ever makes him sad? not being able to properly hear his pretty siren voice on stage? :(
ofc feel free to ignore, i’m just a curious dude :)
Heeey, thank you for the ask! And I’d never ignore you or anyone else (on purpose, but my object permanence is as bad as a newborn's, lol) 🖤🖤
So, I have two answers for you. My first answer is that, yes, II probably does feel some type of way about not hearing Vessel’s amazing live singing (or even the Vesselettes, or III and IV). It’s obvious he’s a fan of the music he writes with Vessel, and he gets really into it during certain songs like Atlantic, where pauses between the percussion parts exist. But if it makes you feel better, II absolutely loves what he does and fully kills it every time he goes on stage. I’m sure it’s a sacrifice he willingly makes.
My second answer is much more technical and would apply to any touring drummer/musician, not just Sleep Token, so I’m just gonna shove it under a cut to hide my nerdiness, lol (and also not to shatter anyone's illusion with how much planning and work goes into live performances).
What we hear in II’s live drum playthroughs and what II hears while playing is a lot different. Performing musicians wear unique earplugs/earphones called in-ear monitors (I’ll abbreviate them to IEMs). The IEMs have several purposes, mainly to protect musicians’ hearing and allow them to hear themselves and backtracks while performing over everything else during a concert (because concerts are loud, obviously lol). But the IEMs also enable the musicians to hear other things, like the stagehands/sound techs can speak to them, they’ll more often than not have a metronome going, and they may even have spoken cues like, “Verse Two in 4 3 2 1.”
I can guarantee that II has at least a metronome going during all of Sleep Token’s rituals. Since none of the band really speaks on stage (I don’t count III’s yelling), II also might have either Sam (his drum tech) or an automated voice telling him what song he’s playing next, along with a numbered countdown for the beginning of the song. II might even get in-the-moment verbal queues from Sam, or Sleep Token’s FOH, Thom.
This isn’t Sleep Token, but the video below is an excellent example of what I’m talking about. I don't expect everyone to watch the whole thing but it's great, tempo changes, count-ins, and everything. Flash warning, just in case.
youtube
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two screenshots are from the same video and add a bit more information on what a musician might hear in their IEMs during live shows.
I might be alone here, but I really wish Sleep Token would release at least one of the live drum recordings with an in-ear mix like the video above. I’d nerd out so hard over hearing exactly what II or any of the other Eepy guys (especially Vessel during The Summoning, omg) are hearing live in their IEMs.
I know there are people who do mockups on YouTube of Popstar’s supposed IEM mixes and I swear if I had any musical knowledge or video editing skills it would be my self-proclaimed mission to put an in-ear mix into all of Sleep Token's live shows 😅😅

Different Types of Eartips. How to Choose best Eartips for your In Ear Monitor.
In the realm of audio aficionados, the In-Ear Monitor (IEM) stands as a pinnacle of personal audio experience. Offering immersive sound quality and unparalleled portability, IEMs have become a staple for music lovers and professionals alike. Yet, amidst the allure of crisp highs and resonant bass, there lies a critical element often overlooked: the humble eartip.
Tumblr media
Eartips, those small silicone or foam sleeves that adorn the ends of our IEMs, are more than mere accessories. They are the unsung heroes responsible for delivering sound directly into our ears with precision and comfort. Think of them as the gateway between you and your audio nirvana.
Why do manufacturers provide a variety of eartips, ranging from small to large? The answer lies in the diversity of human anatomy. Just as our fingerprints differ, so do the shapes and sizes of our ear canals. A one-size-fits-all approach simply won’t suffice when it comes to achieving optimal sound isolation and comfort.
Tumblr media
Enter the world of eartip materials: silicone and foam. While both serve the same fundamental purpose, they each offer unique characteristics tailored to individual preferences. Silicone eartips are known for their durability and ease of cleaning, providing a reliable seal for consistent sound delivery. On the other hand, foam eartips conform to the shape of your ear canal, offering superior noise isolation and enhanced comfort over extended listening sessions.
But how does one navigate the labyrinth of eartip options when shopping online? It’s a daunting task, to say the least, without the luxury of physically trying out different sizes and materials. Fear not, for armed with knowledge, you can make an informed decision.
Tumblr media
Consider factors such as your ear canal size, preferred level of noise isolation, and desired comfort level. Reading user reviews and seeking recommendations from trusted sources can also provide valuable insights into which eartips may suit your needs best.
In conclusion, this article aims to serve as a beacon of guidance in your quest for the perfect eartips. Whether you're a seasoned audiophile or a casual listener, understanding the nuances of eartip selection can elevate your audio experience to new heights. So, let us embark on this journey together, as we uncover the secrets behind selecting the Best Eartips for In-Ear Monitors.
Different Type of Ear Tips
1. Rubber Ear Tips:
Rubber ear tips represent the most basic type of eartips, often included with budget-friendly IEMs. While they may seem like a convenient option, they come with drawbacks. Rubber tips tend to be harder and less comfortable than other materials. Moreover, they have a higher likelihood of causing irritation to the skin due to their rigid nature. Consequently, they are generally not recommended for prolonged use with IEMs.
2. Silicone Ear Tips:
Tumblr media
Silicone ear tips offer an improvement over rubber ones in terms of comfort and irritation. They are softer and gentler on the skin, making them more suitable for extended listening sessions. However, silicone eartips may not be the best choice for activities like exercise or running, as they can become slippery and prone to falling out when exposed to moisture. Despite this drawback, silicone eartips are relatively easy to clean, providing a durable option for everyday use.
Additionally, silicone ear tips come in various designs, including domes with different flange choices. These flanges, ranging from single to double or triple fringe, offer users the flexibility to find the perfect fit for their ears, enhancing comfort and sound isolation.
3. Foam Ear Tips:
Tumblr media
Foam ear tips reign supreme in terms of comfort, resembling earplugs with a hole through the center. They are designed to fit snugly inside the ear canal, creating an effective seal that isolates sound from the outside world. This superior seal not only blocks out external noise but also results in increased bass response and decreased highs, enhancing the overall listening experience.
Foam eartips are favored by many audiophiles and professionals for their exceptional comfort and sound quality. They mold to the shape of the ear canal, ensuring a personalized fit that minimizes discomfort during extended wear.
4. Comply Air Foam:
Tumblr media
Comply Air Foam ear tips represent an evolution of traditional foam eartips, offering several feature upgrades. Similar to foam eartips, Comply Air Foam tips provide unparalleled comfort and sound isolation. However, they incorporate advanced materials and construction techniques to further enhance performance.Features such as breathable cores and improved memory foam ensure a secure fit and extended durability. Additionally, Comply Air Foam tips are designed to maintain their shape and sealing properties even in humid conditions, making them suitable for active lifestyles.
5. Hybrid Eartips:
Tumblr media
Hybrid eartips, a less common option in the world of eartips, blend the characteristics of both foam and silicone materials. These unique eartips typically feature a silicone outer layer with a foam core, combining the durability of silicone with the comfort and sound isolation of foam.
While hybrid eartips could seem to offer the best from both worlds, they're far less common in comparison to their pure silicone or foam counterparts. There could be many factors as to why these aren't as popular, such as the complexity of manufacturing and limited demand from consumers. Either way, these have an appeal to them that will resonate with a lot of people that want a balance between comfort, durability and quality sound. Either way, some may find it difficult to find the right fit, but that's something we're already acclimated to, right?
How to choose comfortable best eartips for your IEM
Choosing the Best Eartips for Your IEM:
Tumblr media
Picking the best eartips for your In-Ear Monitor (IEM) is a different foray altogether, as the human ear canal is a diverse thing. Each person's ear canal has a distinct size and shape, which means all types of sizes and materials must be available for eartips. From the soft, plushy foam to a harder, resilient rubber eartips that offer densities based on listener preference, manufacturers create a gamut of options that satisfy these demands. Foam eartips emerge as a winner in the comfort category, given the eartip has the ability to conform to the exact shape of any ear canal. These eartips can offer a snug fit that doesn't cause discomfort over long listening sessions plus the plushy feeling doesn't hurt, either. These are a popular choice among audiophiles and casual listeners, alike.
Eartips Durability
Tumblr media
In terms of durability, silicone ear tips have the upper hand in this category. Constructed of a tough building material, these eartips have the ability to take a beating and last for many years without a noticeable degradation in quality. Because the material is so resilient, these eartips will maintain their shaping sealing properties over time, so listeners can expect their sound to remain consistent throughout their lifespan.
Foam eartips are also less durable than silicone eartips. While they offer optimal comfort, they are susceptible to earwax and dirt contamination. As earwax and dirt build up on the eartips, their performance will be compromised over time. Here are tips to prolong your eartips' lifespan:
Tips for Prolonging Eartip Lifespan
Aside from choosing the proper size of eartips, it's imperative to handle them with care. Always handle eartips with clean hands to avoid transferring dirt and bacteria. It’s equally important to avoid exposing eartips to excessive moisture or heat, as this can expedite their degradation. Proper IEM maintenance also helps in preserving the lifespan of their eartips.
Tumblr media
Regularly clean your earpieces and eartips to prevent the accumulation of earwax and debris, thus ensuring optimal hygiene and performance. Lastly, storing your IEMs in a protective case when not in use will shield them from damage and enable them to be enjoyed for an extended time. By practicing these eartip and IEM maintenance practices, you can rest assured that your eartips and IEMs will continue offering exceptional sound quality and comfort for years to come.
Chossing the different Size of Eartips:
Choosing the Right Size of Eartips for Your IEM:
Selecting the correct size of eartips is crucial for achieving optimal comfort, sound isolation, and audio quality with your In-Ear Monitor (IEM). When you buy IEMs online, it’s nearly impossible to discern which size to choose without physically trying them on. Here’s how you can make an informed decision:
1. Review Manufacturer Guidelines: Many IEM companies offer sizing recommendations or guides based on their eartip dimensions and average ear canal sizes. Reference these guidelines to gain valuable insight into which size may be right for you.
2. Measure Your Ear Canal: If possible, measure your ear canal diameter using a calipers or ruler and compare it to the dimensions provided by the manufacturer to find the eartip size to order. Make an educated guess.
3. Consider Your Comfort Preference: While some individuals like to have eartips that are a size down for increased noise isolation, others prioritize comfort and will prefer eartips that are a size up. Your personal preference and tolerance level will dictate what size is best for you. This is one reason why replacement eartips are usually sold in sets; some experimentation is required.
4. Read User Reviews: While it can be hard to come across this kind of information for certain earphones, minimizing the risk of ordering the wrong size is a big advantage of buying replacement eartips that other people have tried or tested.
5. Experiment with Multiple Sizes: Try to find a pair of IEMs that comes with a variety of eartip sizes so you can experiment with different sizes.
6. Consider Exchange Policies: While there are third-party eartip companies that do not allow earip returns, many manufacturers will send you a set of eartips of a different size at no charge, so it's not a bad idea to make sure this is an option.
7. Ask For Help: If you feel like the eartips will be the part of your earphones that need replacing most frequently, you may also want to consider asking for advice on what size would be most appropriate for your ear.
By taking all of these factors into account and utilizing available resources, you can drastically increase the likelihood that you’ll choose the correct size of eartips – even if you’re buying them online.
Conclusion:
Hopefully you now have a better understanding of the importance of IEM eartips and have found the information in this guide useful. They’re often an overlooked yet critical component of the earphone. With so many varieties to choose from, finding the right eartips for your in-ear monitors can often be somewhat of a daunting process. We do hope that this article has helped to alleviate the common issue many people face when trying to find these ever-elusive eartips. If this is the first IEM that you’re purchasing, welcome to the world of great sounding music wherever you go; these things can be a fantastic investment that last for years if cared for properly. Remember to protect your hearing and avoid having the music too loud in your ears.

My IEMs gave out the other week. No great loss, I liked them quite a bit but they were $30. I mostly bought them as an experiment to see if I could tolerate wearing them, I have a bad history with earphones. A pair of Apple iPod earbuds netted me a four day stint in the hospital back in 2007 with a staph infection in both ear canals that got so bad they were nearly swollen shut (and even after I was discharged I was on IV antibiotics for a week at home). So I've been understandably squeamish about earphones since. That said, wearing heavy closed back headphones with a ten foot long cord to the grocery store is not super convenient, and I just need that sound isolation if I've got a migraine. So I bought a pair of cheap, well reviewed IEMs to dip my toes in, the 7hz Zero. I really liked them, my partner even bought a pair.
So when they died the other week I decided to upgrade a tier and bought a pair of 7hz Sonus IEMs with the small amount of Christmas money I received this year. These things are fantastic, it's honestly insane that a dual driver IEM is available under $100 (those are Canadian dollars I think they're around $60 USD). They're very good on the technical merits, and they're tuned so well that it's the first time I haven't been tempted to fiddle with the EQ right out of the box to compensate for a lacking in the sound characteristics. They've got very good bass, smooth mids, articulate treble, almost no sibilance at the frequencies you'd expect to find it (4khz to 6khz), and nice sound stage too. You don't feel "inside your head" so much with them.

They even come with a nice carrying case.
I've got them paired with a $10 USB-C headphone amp/DAC with my phone (RIP headphone jacks, I will never buy fucking wireless headphones, fuck that bullshit) and I'm streaming my music collection from my home server through PlexAmp, and it's all fantastic.
I used to carry around an expensive and heavy stand alone DAP (iBasso DX150) with all my music loaded on microSD cards and this new set-up is such an upgrade in convenience (and battery life) and is on par vis-a-vis audio quality despite being half the cost. I miss some of the features from Neutron Music Player which I was using with my DX150 (parametric EQ, stereo-to-binaural DSP) but on the other hand I'm not switching out between three or four microSD cards, my entire 5600 album collection is just available on the fly, and it's one less thing to carry.
So yeah, a strong recommendation for the 7hz Sonus for anyone looking for a very affordable, excellent sounding pair of IEMs. I guarantee that these will net you a better experience than a pair of Airpods at a third the cost.

It tells you a lot about iem/headphone demographics that when discussing earphones that emphasize high notes/female vocals it invariably directs to "weeb music", i.e. the only reason you'd want to listen to women singing is if you're listening to anime OSTs
