Uhhhh very late miwip wednesday? it is thursday.

I've had this au—Will as Robin, El as Batgirl, Mike as Spoiler + a few more Hawkins characters as Bats but I'll leave the rest a mystery for now—rattling around in my brain for like a week, and I don't know if I'll ever actually write out the full longfic idea I have for it, but I'll at least post snippets and some doodles 👍

“I know I did it to you when we first met,” the sound of boots hitting the rooftop echoes behind him, “But it’s really not proper vigilante etiquette to take off someone else’s mask.” 

Mike whips around to face him—Robin, The Boy Wonder. While he’s figured out who the new Batgirl is, he hasn’t got a clue about this guy. Unless maybe it’s not just El—maybe all the Bats are connected to the lab? Robin could be a number, too.

He stares at the other boy, lost in thought, not sure what to say. 

When it must fully register that his comment isn’t getting a response, Robin shrugs and retracts his grapple, clicking it into place on his utility belt as he steps closer out of the shadows.

Mike quickly puts his mask back on, just for something to do with his hands, something to interrupt his gawking at least for a second. When he looks again, there’s now a layer between them—flimsy blue fabric that makes it a little less clear that he’s still staring. 

But how could he not? The two of them have only really met twice—when Robin had tackled him not realizing The Spoiler is a new hero not a villain, and when Robin had come to his window the following night telling him to hang up his cape. So really, this is the first time Mike can stop and take him in without some sense of urgency bleeding into the situation. The first time he can just… look.

His mask is a deep green leather molded into a sort of beak, and despite leaving a decent amount of his face uncovered, it conceals what could really be identifying—his eyes, his nose, parts of his cheeks. His warm smile is visible though, and Mike can’t help that his eyes are drawn to it. It’s just the part of his face I can see, he tells himself, but maybe that’s not the only reason. 

Robin runs a gloved hand through his gelled-back hair, a chestnut brown that Mike bets would glisten in sunlight. But Robin isn’t someone you see during the day. Bats only come out at night in Hawkins, even ones who wear bright colors. Red, yellow, and green—he’s like a traffic light.

Only now while glancing up and down as he crosses the rooftop, does Mike really register how small a guy Robin is, noticeably shorter than Mike himself. But regardless, he still moves with confidence, it makes his presence seem larger somehow—wise beyond his years.

Prosthetic!Lukas re-vamp?

Thinking about re-vamping my Prosthetic!Lukas au where instead of some pillagers causing trouble, it's our bro Herobrine himself. Lukas goes to his hometown close to the farlands because there's this odd guy bothering people and nobody can get rid of him, they think they're being haunted. Lukas tries to handle it as politely as he can and instead, his whole hometown gets broken apart, people get glitched out and deformed, chunks of their bodies just become thin air or detached and Lukas almost meets the same fate, but escapes with only a missing arm and maybe something else(?). Eventually, when things blow over, the gang tries to help Lukas out as well as figure out who that weird man with white eyes is. The admins would've surely known about someone like this, but oh well. The entire world seems to be glitching out here and there and people start disappearing into thin air or deform just like the people of Lukas's hometown. If the Admins were someone who would control the world and build it, this new foe was someone who could erase things from existence and corrupt worlds. Queue a Spiderman- into the spiderverse sequence where the gang runs through different worlds, trying to find answers on how to save not just their world, but all the worlds there are from this haunting man.

Oh is it litd/ tj appreciation hours?

I think one of the things I love most about hungar au is that it's so real with grians support group. He has people that will be there for him no matter what but there isn't the sense of "oh I could never be mad at you". His friends are furious. They're angry, and sad, and confused and hurt and they're still there for him but it's so clear that THEY are hurting too.

A support group is so important to getting better, and many times you'll here "oh its no trouble, I'll always be here for you" but being that support group isn't easy. Being someone's caretaker can be draining, and exhausting, and borderline soul crushing sometimes.

So many times it's overlooked how much recovery is painful for the support group, and no body ever wants to talk about it because they never wanna make it feel like it's about themselves and it sucks.

Litd doesn't shy away from that. Pearl is angry, confused, and probably filled with a dozen other emotions I can't put into words (in not a writer lol).

Ahhhh, I could literally scream about this for hours and even then I wouldn't be able to express how happy and SEEN these characters make me feel.

Sincerely, someone who spent years as someone's sole support group and eventual caretaker. -🌺

this is actually something that is SO important to me and something i really didnt want to shy from in the fic, which is that being someone's support system is incredibly hard, and it does hurt to see someone else spiraling. There are a lot of messy and confusing emotions in this kind of situation, and i really wanted to showcase that. Its rare to see any kind of recovery fic focus on the caretaker as much as the person going through it, and i personally find a lot of merit in it-- im really glad it resonates with you, because from the start i've always wanted this to be a major focus.

It's something that's gonna continue cropping up a LOT as the fic progresses-- especially with regards to the people who end up being Grian's primary longterm caretakers until he gets to a point where he can function by himself again. I have quite a few arcs im really excited to go into once we get back to Hermitcraft, and one of them specifically addresses the burnout associated with that concept. Honestly, i just really wanted this narrative to be clear about how there are no bad guys, only a messy and painful situation with hurt on all sides, and im really really glad i seem to be pulling that off so far :]

Just watched KAM's new Song where Shandee did the art for again, and oh my god i'm in love with the song and art for it.

I also kinda noticed something, and idk if it's even correct or i smoked something, but uhhh... i guess i can share it-?

Second, i noticed these 2 frames which include the Kids [and probably Vanessa in the first one]

nothing out of the Ordinary. Just Sun playing with the Kids and Moon bringing a Kid to Vanny for her to kill it like normally.

Well...Do any of you know about Shandee's Human AU?

to be more specific, their Human AU Bois. Samuel and Gabriel Aster.

If you have seen Shandzii's Art about the Kid versions of them, you may slowly get what i am talking about.

these two kids in said frames looked really familiar to me, cuz of they're designs. And, well, those two sorta reminded me of Shandzii's Human Bois.

I'm pretty invested in the Human AUs's Lore, Story, etc. so i guess it's normal to notice something like this?

I mean, okay, the Short sleeved hoodie may seem like it's not fitting, but put both Hoodie and Shirt together, and it looks like a Vest that the kid wears over the T-shirt

This Kids's Hoodie/Pullover may not fit with Young Gabriels's Pullover [or whatever the word for it is-], but everything else fits. I mean, sure, the glasses may not have Red outlines, and the Beanie may not have Stars on it, but what if that was intentionally made that way in the video, so it doesnt look obvious? [again, i could be absolutely on something or not. I dont know either]

Again, if i am wrong with my suspicion/theory, then please correct me.

I may actually need Coffee, or i am full on correct with it, either way, i really wanted to point this out, since it really got me ''invested'' [or whatever the word is] for it.
