I haven't played Halo in so long, and goood do I love Halo 5. Some people hate it, and I do so adore the old Halos because that is what I grew up on. But I also grew up on the Halo books, and god the lore that is touched on in Halo 5 is just...aaahhh it's so GOOD. That isn't much of a thing in Bungie era Halos (only thing missing from em imo). And omg BLUE TEAM. BLUE TEAM FOR LIFE. Still remember how utterly thrilled and excited I was when it was revealed that Blue Team would be in Halo 5.
I'm still very unhappy with the Sangheili design in Halo 4 and on as it goes completely against their fighting style (they're supposed to be tall, athletic, and nimble, dammit, not hulking Jiralhanae replacements). And I'll forever be legit pissed at how quickly they killed off Jul (he was in 3 books and survived SO DAMN MUCH. He was an extremely smart and capable Sangheili. The fact they had Locke kill him off in 2 seconds just....ooh its just a slap to his face and utterly trash writing).
However. I truly love what 343 has done with Halo despite the few issues (and all games have at least a few issues no matter what), and god do I love Halo 5. The intro with Fireteam Osiris is always thrilling (especially cuz of Buck. Oh how I love Buck, after ODST being the first videogame I ever played when I was 12), but Blue Team is what I'm really here for. Love em so much. And god do I love Halo in general.
For the record I would be playing Infinite rn cuz I'm nowhere near done with it, but it needs an update cuz I haven't touched it in ages. And it's a big update. So I'll let that update and just play Halo 5. Besides, rn I just wanna vibe and play Halo again for the first time in at least a year. Like to play something I already know and have played multiple times in the past.
