Careful, this flirty cutie packs a mean punch!

This set is amazing on so many levels. This fig maker's designs always lean towards saucy, and this is no exception!

The name of the fig set refers to the Junzhe Extended Universe pairing of Zhong Wumei and Pei Yuntian.

Gong Jun plays Prince Zhong Wumei in Unique Lady. Here he is dressed as a beautiful young woman in order to lure out and capture some evildoers.

The imperial doctor Pei Yuntian is Zhang Zhehan's character from Cosmetology High.

The title listing of this video calls him a cute and handsome little villain! I didn't realize he was a bad guy here, I thought he was just a palace schemer. I definitely need to watch this.

Our sassy figs came carefully packaged in their custom polystyrene foam. Luckily, they arrived perfect! I was a bit worried that Wumei's gorgeous hair ornaments might not survive the trip, but thankfully they did.

The fig maker also included a sticker sheet! This was supposed to be a special first-in gift for the first set of buyers (which I was not), but people were so upset to miss the leg hair that she included them for everyone.

We have some different thicknesses of leg hair - from the top (MTL) is "ordinary short", "low profile short", and "wild long section". Outstanding. We also have some great other stickers that are definitely very multipurpose for Junzhe figs!

These aren't regular stickers like I'm used to. They are backwards, like transfers, and there's a clear protector sheet over them you have to peel off. I tried press-sticking one on Wumei, but it didn't seem to work.

Thankfully, my best fig friend helped me out here with her quality advice. These are water stickers, which means they are like temporary tattoos - you get them wet, and then stick them on the fig, and then after a bit you gently peel off the backing. I would never have puzzled this out!

Alright, before we start with Wumei, let's get a still of this fantastic look for comparison purposes...

Gong Jun is stunning dressed as a woman. Beautiful people are just beautiful! I can't help remembering how one of the interviewers at the SHL concert had previously gushed to Gong Jun about how pretty he was dressed up as a woman (and ahaha, Zhehan's face during their concert interview segment!). May I just also note how gorgeous his fingers are here.

Our extremely flirty prince came with a very saucy fan that is not the fan in the still above! You can see it if you zoom in, but fair warning if you're on public transportation or something, it's very scantily clad chibis having a grand ol' time together (it's only like 2 fire emojis on the Fig Spice-o-meter scale, but still nothing I'd zoom in on a crowded bus while an all-too-curious seat mate looked on, for instance). I was going to take a closeup of it for you, but I ran way out of picture space. There's some closer pictures below you can zoom in on.

Here he is, all coy and delicate and flashing some leg. A very smooth skinned leg, without even "low profile short" hair, as these photos were taken before BFF help. Never fret, loyal figthusiasts, keep on scrolling!

Two leggies! And a great look at the hairstyle. That butterfly pin is so pretty.

And here we go - a full shot of the beautiful pin and the hanging ornament off of it. So pretty! Wumei likes to pull his hair over his shoulder and stroke it playfully when acting flirty, so here we have his hair over his shoulder.

You can see a bit of the very complex piles of hair that Wumei is wearing in the still. You'll also notice he seems to be leaning pretty aggressively over to the side, which is by design, as he's putting up his dress.

This full back view really shows the hair in it's complicated glory!

Ooh, this is a good shot of one of his earrings. They are clip-ons in the show.

CUTE. The fig maker did such a great job with the eyes here. You can also start to see some of the flowered pins here.

SO CUTE. Look at this! Amazing. Here you can see how he's holding his dress up too.

I flipped the fan over here so you could see the other side is a plain gold. If you can't have frolicking chibis in the house, this is a very pretty look too!

He is wearing frilly knickers! I am just so delighted by this fig, I can't even tell you.

The frills were too amazing to not show you both sides.

Speaking of amazing, here's his hair ornaments in all their glory.

And from the back, looking down and forward. Yikes, I'm going to run out of my 30-pic post limit at this rate! Time for Pei Yuntian.

Yep, he's drool-worthy indeed. No jury would convict you, Pei Yuntian!

The hands are just beautifully molded on these figs - really great detail. I love the bit of a cat-eye line he has going on at the corner of his eyes here.

I like the nice wide sleeves. I haven't seen this show, but I have seen a lot of Pei Yuntian figs, and this outfit is pretty classic.

Speaking of classic, the rabbit-ear hat is the same on every fig so far! It's very distinctive.

I assume this is a herb-gathering basket, just given that he's a doctor in the show. However, like I said, I haven't seen it, so take this with an enormous chunk of salt.

I regret photographing this on a white background! I should have done it on a colorful one so you could see the detail better.

It's a pretty outfit though. Very billowy and a pearly white, which gives it some nice visual interest. This fig maker likes pearlescent paints on her figs.

Look at that blush! Too cute - the eyes here are just wonderful.

Much plainer here on the underside for Pei Yuntian. Yikes, I really am almost out of picture allowance!

AHAHAHAHAHA. I'm back here to report on the leg hair water transfer sticker and it is FANtastic.

First off, major credit to my BFF, the water transfer worked perfectly. I cut out the stickers, peeled off the protective plastic, grabbed an end with a tweezers, and ran it under water. I stuck it on the leg and kind of tapped it around. I didn't even have to wait, I just peeled it off!

This is actually three of the "low-profile short", since I put one on right in the middle and it looked a little patchy. So I did one above and below, and here's the result! I picked the lo-pro since we are just fresh off of Gong Jun's Cosmo Body Issue mag shoot, and well, he's very well groomed, so I had that in my head when I picked.

I am now maybe kinda regretting not going with the "wild and long", but I'm really happy with it! I actually burst out laughing when I took off the last sticker, it's hilariously funny and I couldn't stop chuckling as I took this picture! Now I wish I had done this before taking all the pics, but this one is good enough. Hehehe, I'm still giggling to myself!

I love it SO MUCH, it's ridiculous and silly and perfect!

This set actually came with a printed box with the same artwork, but I'm all out of picture space! It's just the same artwork on the box card, nothing different.

“Star Wars: Visions” Masterpost

Star Wars Visions is dropping Sept 22 and has a new, shiny trailer. To make things easier, I thought I’d make a big info post about Star Wars: Visions (that i started over a month ago and only finishing now lol) since I am SO excited for the long-overdue advent of Star Wars anime. I’m a big fan of anime and was really excited to see the variety of studios and styles being tapped for this project. I also included some links when possible to some of the studios’ past works!

1. "The Duel” (Kamikaze Douga)

In an alternate Jedi vs Sith universe based on Japanese lore, a former Sith wanders the galaxy and confronts an inner struggle of selflessness vs selfishness. The animation will be stylized as black and white with the exception of the lightsabers. The tie-in novel Ronin by Emma Mieko Candon will be based on this short. As I guessed, "The Duel” looks to be 3D animation since Kamikaze Douga is a CG animation studio. Their animated short Batman Ninja is a fun example of how they work with 3D animation.

2. “Lop and Ocho” (Geno)

A padawan/master story focusing on Lop, a young bunny Jedi padawan. This short will emphasize its natural scenery in contrast to imperial industrialization. Geno is a pretty new studio, but it’s mostly formed out of the former staff of the now-defunct Studio Manglobe, which made Samurai Champloo back in the early 2000s (although I’m unsure if any of the staff that worked back then are still with the studio).

3. “Tatooine Rhapsody” (Studio Colorido)

A Star Wars rock opera about a Tatooine garage band trying to make it big. It will be chibi style and feature cameos from existing characters like (chibi!) Boba Fett and Jabba the Hutt. Studio Colorido has recently done action anime like Burn the Witch, as well as more sllce-of-life styles like Penguin Highway.

4. “The Twins” (Studio Trigger)

Follows a set of twins born to the Dark Side where the brother must save his Sith sister from the darkness, inspired by Luke and Leia. Hiroyuki Imaishi from Studio Trigger is directing this short—a brief highlight reel of his animation and directing work can be found here, I’m very excited that he seems to have a super dynamic style and I’m looking forward to seeing such vibrant and colorful concept artworks come to life.

5. “The Elder” (Studio Trigger)

A story that follows a classic master/apprentice relationship, and of the old generation giving way to the new. Studio Trigger is also animating this short in addition to “The Twins”—some examples of their past work are Little Witch Academia and Promare.

6. “The Village Bride” (Kinema Citrus)

Described as “romantic and bittersweet,” a fallen Jedi observes the traditions of a small mountain village through the titular village bride, inspired by traditional Japanese mountain culture. This short apparently “approaches the Force in a really unique way.” Kinema Citrus’ recent works include Revue Starlight and Made in Abyss. Their staff members are former animators from Production IG and Bones, both of which are big and influential animation studios.

7. “Akakiri” (Science Saru)

A “beautiful yet painful” story about a Jedi and a princess. The concept art looks particularly gorgeous to me. Science Saru combines traditional and 3D animation techniques, and produced Food Chain from Adventure Time as their debut project.

8. “T0-B1″ (Science Saru)

A “cute and fun story” about a droid boy who wants to be a Jedi, also by Science Saru. Very much inspired by the classic and old-school anime Astroboy, and they even tapped one of the original sound designers who worked on Astroboy.

9. “The Ninth Jedi” (Production IG)

“The Ninth Jedi” follows the story of a daughter of a Jedi bladesmith who must deliver lightsabers to a group of warriors, all of whom must find a way to work with each other. Just going by name recognition, Production IG is the studio that stands out to me the most! They made the legendary/groundbreaking Ghost in the Shell film in the 90s (and the various sequels), the famous O-Ren Ishii animated sequences from Tarantino’s Kill Bill, and the popular sports anime Haikyuu!!

Noble!Lucas AU

A while back I had an idea on what if Lucas was taken in by a noble family because I thought it would be fun to draw out. Fast forward to today and I ended up using characters from an old story that I plan on revamping and putting some of them in this AU as Lucas’ later adopting family. I actually wanted to do a full on water color portrait for a more polished introduction, but due to the hefty amount of time and not to mention that I have to study for school, I decided to whip up chibi versions of the main characters to save my sanity.

Obviously this AU is heavy on the Russian WMMAP head canon I made, hence the mostly Russian sounding names. Plus with the winter clothing it’s pretty obvious it’s a duke of the north situation.

Without further ado, I’ll give a short introduction to what this AU is about + more about my OCs (plus some secrets)

The Zakharovs

One of the founding noble families of the Obelian Empire, the Zakharovs established itself as a powerhouse for the empire's military and magicians. They reside in Severnaya, Obelia's northern territory and one filled to the brim with magical hotspots and supernatural legends. Many of the Zakharovs were trained as wizards from a young age due to the vast amount of mana they have in their bloodline. With a reputation like that, it was no wonder why many both feared and vied the power the Zakharovs had. The noble house's immense power was both a blessing and a curse in their eyes, so the years onward many Zakharovs were adamant on keeping it a secret lest it brings harm to everyone else.

One of the things they've kept secret was their strong connections to spirits and the dead. All Zakharovs are born with the ability to transverse to world of the dead and able to conjure dead spirits to aid them, and they can interact with them as well. Such power, while not impossible, is a very rare one, and the Zakharovs were the peak of this power. Though they didn't rival the power of the imperial family, it was enough to want to hide it from the rest of the world for safety, but even then that had it's downsides...

During the reign of Emperor Aeternitas, many of the Zakharovs were strategically hunted down and killed for their fabled mana and power to keep the emperor's greed at bay. Aeternitas had been eyeing them for their fabled powers, for he believed that consuming them would give him the power to survive even after death. Slowly but surely, the Zakharov's numbers were dwindling.

As a last ditch effort, the Zakharovs used their remaining power to summon the spirits of deceased emperors and sent them after the tyrant. As the spirits of emperors past closed in on the now defenceless Aeternitas, he fled to the farthest borders of Obelia as they chased him till his deathbed. With most of their power squandered, the Zakharovs took centuries to rebuild themselves, often marrying into other noble houses to build better relations.

Today, House Zakharov are notable envoys for Obelia. After centuries of involving themselves in Obelian politics, they were able to reposition themselves as the powerhouse they were, notably because their current head, Aleksander Zakharov, has to be their most powerful one yet...

Lucas Aleksandrovich Zakharov

An old wizard who served under Emperor Caelum, Lucas only knew a life of solitude and abandonment. Since he was little, his family had shipped him off to be taught under the Wizard of the Black Tower due to his immense mana and magic capabilities. The Wizard was the only companion Lucas ever knew, it was even thought that he way have saw him as a father figure for a time. But that all changed when the Wizard fell in love with a woman and had a child with her, and again was Lucas casted aside for something else. But because the woman and child bore no magical capabilities, they were destined to grow old and die whilst the Wizard stayed young. Their deaths drove the Wizard towards a downward spiral to grief; he went days without eating, quietly sulking until the moment his death drew near. In his final moments, all he told Lucas was that it would be better if he never finds out what it’s like to lose a loved one and one day, he’ll die alone.

That moment marked the biggest turning point of his life, for Lucas had lost the person he was closest to all due to his grief. For years Lucas spent his life in solitude, he grew to have a cold and harsh personality that was amplified when he supposedly froze his own heart so he'd be more rational. He had all the mana in the world capable of destroying the empire in one fell swoop, and that was enough for the people around him to never cross paths with him. One day though, the powerful warlock decided that all this loneliness was not worth it, so he took a nap under a tree far from his tower and hidden from everything else; but little did he knew that what was supposed to be a short nap turned into a centuries long slumber...

It was a calm evening when the warlock awoke. The first thing he noticed was how different his surroundings were, what was once a dark forest had now cleared into a field big enough for him to see the Black Tower from afar. But was infuriated him was that most of his mana was gone, leaving him less powerful than he was before. Because of this, he started to wonder around while trying to organize his thoughts on everything. But even when he is weakened he was still powerful enough to manifest his frustrations through a suffocating cloud of mist. Once he realized what had happened though, it was too late; he used the majority of his mana on venting his stupid frustrations, how is that possible?! He didn't want to do it, but he used his remaining mana to turn himself into a child to save his mana. However, what he was met after that was a tall man towering over his newly shrunken body.

He recognized that aura.

That man is a Zakharov. And one powerful enough to dissipate the mist with a snap of a finger. At first he was impressed, he never knew a Zakharov can be well-versed in things other than dead stuff. But his mood soured as he remembered what he wanted to do. Judging by the man's unfamiliar clothing, it seems as though he slept for much longer than he expected. Maybe this guy might give me some benefits, he thought. So he struck a deal with him; if the man promises take him to his territory and help him replenish his mana, he'll be indebted to him 'till he dies. Obviously it was meant to be a joke, how could someone like him beat the amazing wizard Lucas of the Black Tower? And thus begins his life as Lucas Zakharov, the son of Aleksander and great wizard of Obelia.

Curious facts:

He first meets Athanasia after the incident with Roger. Claude thought it'd be best that she has some friends that are the same age as her, so he sent a letter to Duke Zakharov to invite him and his children to meet his daughter.

Growing up as a Zakharov, Lucas learned many things. For one, never take bread from Olga, and two, always eat everything Maharani gives you because she'd take it as an insult to her native culture. Tl;dr don't mess with women of color (especially ones with a high body count shhhh).

When he first entered the Zakharov's estate, many of the maids were curious as to how Aleksander got ahold of such an innocent child like him. Aleksander corrected, saying that he found him wandering around the black tower as if he seemed lost, so he asked the people there if they knew the boy. All that led to his decision to letting Lucas stay with them for a while.

Due to his mischievous and cold-hearted tendencies, he had a hard time getting along with the ever sly and prideful Olga. Though he likes her diligence, he finds her personality annoying and insufferable.

When he got to know her though, he's given a better understanding to why she acts the way she does. Spoilers, but it's one of the key points to their relationship as siblings growing much closer.

Aleksander Mikhailovich Zakharov

Not a single soul expected him to take on the role of Duke Zakharov. Originally, he was one of many children of the late duchess born out of wedlock in order to secure her privilege, and from an early age he bore witness to the many deaths of his fellow siblings. The only ones left standing were him and his older sister Maharani, and the two were forced to compete with each other for the title of Duke. On the contrary though, the two children had no intention of harming each other, as the two had bonded as genuine siblings and weren't willing to let each other get hurt. Maharani especially only dreams of visiting Creseavia, the homeland of her father. And so, the two escaped their mother, burning down their old residence with her inside to seek help from Aleksander's biological father, Mikhail Hildegard.

Aleksander is a very curious man with deep blue eyes. Like his lineage, he's a promising wizard and calculative strategist, he's intimidating to his enemies while admired by his allies. Many would describe him to be an old soul, he has a vast knowledge on the histories of this world and often would listen to the young about current situations happening as of now. He's a very enigmatic individual, with a very unapproachable and sometimes scary aura to him. However, that isn't to say he isn't what the rumors say he is. While it's true that he's a stern and and terrifying commander to face, his broad knowledge on everything happening in the past, present, and possible future is complimented with a gentle personality despite his strong stature. Aleksander is a man who is devoted to those he loves, both as a leader and a father it's his job to look after those who depend on him. But all the same there are times when that kindness leads to unfortunate pitfalls, and even when he never gives up, there are still many problems that lie in his path.

On a dark evening, Aleksander was staying at the Obelian capital for important business. He and his aids were taking a break when a deep mist had surrounded them. Through the mist, he saw what appeared to be a man turning into a small child. Through his magic, he dissipated the mist suffocating him and his men only to find the face of a pitiful child staring back at him. His eyes were full of tears as if he had saw something saddening.

Hah, what a joke.

Aleksander and his aids were not having it with Lucas' tricks, so instead of wasting their time, he offered that he explained what he just did back there. Aleksander still doesn't know that Lucas is the famed Wizard of the Black Tower, but he does recognize that he's a powerful person. So when the young boy broke his facade and struck a deal with him, he knew that would be a gamble since whatever this "kid" is after it's related to the Zakharovs. So whilst he agrees to bring the boy with him, he didn't know that he'd grow a genuine bond with him, but for now let us leave it here.

Curious facts:

Aleksander likes various types of caffeinated drinks, but his favorite is one infused with any herbs and spices as to him it's a nice contrast to the cold of Severnaya.

This man is TALL tall. He towers over Felix at 195cm.

He actually has a nickname: Sasha. But because he doesn't have many close relationships, everyone only calls him by his titles out of respect. Quite literally only Maharani calls him Sasha these days.

During Claude's rebellion, he aided the future emperor through being one of his spies and secretly blackmailing Anastacius, to becoming one of his trusted commanders in the battlefield. That all changed though when Claude turned to a lot of questionable tendencies. At first it was out of concern for his friend, for he'd been struggling with his lover's pregnancy for a while. But then, the Ruby Palace incident happened. Sasha knew that Claude was a brutal person when he's angry, but it was this event in which he chose to confront him.

He keeps a vase of moon orchids in his office from one of his envoy trips. When Lucas asked why he bothered to keep a simple thing like a flower alive for a long time, Aleksander responded that as a symbol of peace, he should tend to the moon orchids just like how he should contribute to the nation's peace (Lucas knew, for a fact, that he was lying).

Olga Cahya Aleksandrovna Zakharova

Aleksander's daughter and only child before Lucas came into the picture. With the exception of her dark black hair, she bares no resemblance to the duke, she has warm brown skin and golden eyes that pierces any fragile soul it sets upon. Olga is part Creseavian on her mother's side, and due to this grew a very close relationship with her Aunt Maharani. She was taught many traditions from her homeland such as dances, social customs, and it's language.

Olga has a very strong connection to the dead. However, unlike other Zakharovs before her, her abilities strangely surpasses those of her ancestors. Whilst they can only interact and conjure spirits from time to time, Olga can bond with one and with a certain amount of orders can let them use her body as sort of a vessel. This is only possible if both parties are willing to consent though. That isn't to say that all these skills don't come with their drawbacks though, she's prone to exhaustion and if she's not careful. And the more dangerous a skill she uses is, the more likely she might die. Alas, her pride wouldn't let her disappoint anyone especially herself.

Like her father, she has a stoic disposition, but it seems that instead of detracting people from wanting to talk to her, it has the opposite affect. Olga earned a moderate following of fans after the debutante. She's already seen as a charming and mysterious figure in noble society, it's no wonder that she gained a terrifying amount of fans. In actuality, her personality is quite the opposite; she's an inept and harsh person, sometimes downright manipulative. While she's a mostly silent person, she's not afraid to pressure those around her to do what she says (especially if they're wh*te, Claude watch out-). But at the same time, she's dedicated to making the people she cares about feel happy and loved. Olga is devoted to those who are by her side and will repay their kindness by being their companion 'till the very end.

When Aleksander brought home Lucas, she took an immediate disliking towards him. First, she picked up that this "kid" isn't a normal one, but she was disgusted with how rude and disrespectful he was. For a long time she refused to accept him as her new sibling since "no such replacement would let me back down!" or as she says. Fortunately, Lucas isn't here as a replacement. Unfortunately, he's much worse; he's an annoying piece of sh- anyways, she knew well that she'd have to accept Lucas in the long run. So despite his difficult personality, she's willing to teach him the ropes on living as a Obelian noble. In time, maybe these two will grow an unexpected bond as siblings...

Curious facts:

Her nickname is Olya, but Lucas calls her Ollie to get on her nerves. Many of the maids have scolded him for this as they thought it was rude of him to call her by any other nickname than Olya.

She likes to prank Lucas by sneaking in chili peppers into his food, though she claims that it's to help him get used to Creseavian dishes.

Olga is taller than Lucas by two centimeters as kids. When they grow older though that line becomes more blurred and it's safe to say that they're the same height.

Fun fact, when she met Jennette as a child, Olga was so appalled by the fact that she was made of black magic that she literally told everyone that Jettie needed an exorcism. I mean, at least Jennette still liked her enough to still be friends with her...?

Olga was only a small baby when Aleksander brought her into his care. The only possessions she had at the time were a pair of gold earrings, a necklace comprising of a coral leaf at the center, and a box wrapped in sacred inscriptions with a note to not open until the right time has come. All these were the only things she had when she was brought to Obelia, she treasures them dearly.

In the beginning, Olga hated her father for bringing her to Obelia. While she's grateful that he provided everything he can so she'd be able to learn about her culture, she can't help but feel isolated at times. It wasn't until Aleksander suggested that Maharani take Olga with her to visit Creseavia that she started to try and warm up to her father. Sure, it wasn't a perfect solution, but in the end she was genuinely happy that her father cared for her that much.

side note: i had no idea what sort of dress to put Olga in, she was by far the hardest one to draw out of all of them due to this. i decided to put her in a simplified version of a Russian court gown, but if anyone has better suggestions for what outfit i should put her in, feel free to reply. also, i just realized that Sasha looks like Aladdin's dad, whoops.

The Project Black Lives Matter Silent Auction IS CLOSED!!

@fandomcares is a support blog run by dedicated members of the Teen Wolf and Sterek community. Our goal is to help fans within the community who may be going through financial, emergency, or other hardships, be it through fundraising, providing resources, or just giving them a safe space to talk.

like i feel like they all understood the essence of star wars but wanted to put their own spin on it!!!! you can tell the creators love it and want to honor what came before!!!! and they’re giving it the highest honor they can: carving out their own stories in the universe that share what they love so much about it!!!

like. MAN. just PLEASE turn all of star wars into anime at this point. this was so refreshing and good and i loved it!!!!

Summary: Based on @chibi-mushroom‘s Dragon Age AU for the Kingdom Hearts series, because we are absolutely winging the role for a certain OC of mine until certain events actually play out. ^^; Spoilers for chapter 7 of Dragon Age: Wayfinder, btw, technically. Hungry. I feel hungry. So, so many of us are hungry. We do not know what we hunger for. We only listen to the commands of Urthemiel. Sometimes we look for the light of Kingdom Hearts. But we are still hungry, we still search, and listen, and look- we can not be sated.

We gathered to a place of many lights as Urthemiel told us to. We ate the lights, but we are still hungry. I gathered with my brothers to form one entity- a storm of hunger and darkness to eat more and more of those little lights that faded so easily. There was a light covered in a golden armor, a brave but foolish warrior. We consumed his light. We were still hungry.

Then we could sense three of our kind, but they held a light. Our beings do not have lights (maybe we would not be so hungry if we did), so we went to eat the light from the imposters. The oldest of the imposter lights tried to stop our hunger. The light inside of him was strong, we could barely see the darkness etched into the cracks of his armor. There was still darkness though. And for a moment, the hunger was gone. For a moment we felt… sadness, and determination, and lingering thoughts of those we once had but never knew. Would the child know about me?

Then our hunger returned when we saw the last two imposter lights. Darkness surrounded the last warrior, but with him was a mage. A mage with a very strong light. We wanted that mage. We had to consume that mage's light. We must have that mage and her light. It will complete our hunger. Her light will fill us all.

The girl catapulted from her dream with a jolt. Her eyes looked around wildly before remotely recognizing where she was. She clenched her chest as tears started to drip down her eyes. Her breathing was shuttered as she tried to regain her sense of being. She was alone. The reason had been obvious before- it was because she had once more ran away from home. But now? Now something was different. It was a different kind of alone. It felt like something inside of her had died.

“You baby.” she mumbled to herself as she dried her eyes. “It was just a dream. Not even real.”

The feeling that someone important had just died did not leave her, however. If anything, berating herself only made her feel worse. When a shiver ran down her spine, the girl decided it was from the cold and worked to make herself a small fire. It was better than thinking it was because of weakness, however natural it would have been in this situation.

Further trying to reroute whatever aftershocks the daydream gave her, the girl tried to look over her map of Thedas with a sharp focus. Based on the old piece of parchment, Halamshiral was the last distinguished city she'd passed, and that was a good five days ago. It was also the last distinguishable city in Orlais too. She had to be in Ferelden by now. What she couldn't quite figure out was if she'd passed the entrance for Orzammar or if she still had another day or two to go. Not that she would actually stop there for a proper rest; no, she planned for that when she reached Redcliffe. By then she'd look enough like a vagrant she could probably pass as a common street urchin. Someone would take pity on her. Maker forbid she could find a motherly type instead of some sleaze that would sell her for a gold piece in exchange for a stiff drink. There were rumors that Redcliffe's arlessa was just the type. The perfect target for now.

The rest of the plan? It was to not be caught by the very people she was running away from; a backstabbing brother, a far too kind cat, and a stupid, old, and even-more-persistent-than-she-was rabbit. She was going to get that stupid bunny's family titles back whether he liked it or not. It's what made going to Redcliffe's arlessa that much more sweeter- she was once Orlesian. She would know what to do. She would be able to recognize a member of the deIsigny family. Had to.

A part of her wanted to be found by someone familiar though, that was why she was traveling along the Imperial Highway. When someone did, they would see that she was resilient. Brave. Not some stupid child that wanted to run away because she was bored with home life. This child had a mission- one that she swore she'd finish before any stupid bandit thought they could rob her blind. Before some stupid nightmare kept her awake at night to the point of nearly going whole days without rest. That last nightmare, the one about that… that man, it was different. It felt real.

But she didn't have time to think about that. She needed to get to Redcliffe. She needed to talk to the arlessa. She needed to prove that she was old enough to do whatever she wanted, and what she wanted was to repay a stupid old rabbit for his kindness. It was almost a fault due to how often bad luck got in her and her brother's way. In her mind, the child did not believe she had a family anymore. No, her old family was gone. Her brother defected to the rabbit like a natural born while she still thought of their birth mother. There was no way that she would consider the rabbit her new father, and the cat her new mother. Not… not until this was done. Not until what was due was properly owned again. It was always eye for an eye, after all- and she wasn't going to let the world get away with taking the whole body again.

Not again.

In hindsight, she should have stolen a horse from that old rabbit. A horse would have made getting as far away as possible much easier. Maybe she could find a wild horse and tame it. It wouldn't be that hard. Give it some food, and space, and it would trust her within an hour or so. Getting the animal to let her ride it would be the harder part- but just having it to carry her few belongings would have meant the world. Assuming it didn't run away while she was sleeping, of course. Just add it to the list of things she planned to sweet talk the arlessa of Redcliffe into giving her.

Reading adventure stories had never been her vice. However, at this moment, a certain element of them was starting to stand out to her. This was like a rite of passage that those storybook heroes tended to take. A baptismal. A journey that only they could complete. She didn't know how long it would take her, but she knew that this was what she wanted to do with all her heart. No brother, rabbit, or some other useless authority figure was going to change her mind about it. Even if she wasn't yet aware of Grey Warden blood that flowed within her, you could almost bet on her success.

Her name was Sabrina Lillian Sidney, and she was going to be a force to be reckoned with one day.

I am so sorry for getting to you so late! But thank you for your kind (pre-announced) patience.

I have not seen any of Mizuta Kouki’s work myself, nor do I know of any repercussions he might be involved in, so I cannot comment on it. Sorry for making you wait for an empty answer.

As for other actors who are talented and you should know about…

Sonim!

Sonim is from Zainichi-Korean (Japanese immigrant) descent and an ‘Ogosho’ like Furukawa is.

Sonim’s road to success was not an easy one. Even now, Zainichi-Koreans still face a lot of stigma in Japan, so Sonim getting to the very top of the highly nationalistic Imperial Theatre is a feat on its own. Another Zainichi actress Yamato Yuuga also climbed to the top of the Takarazuka Theatre, but her Korean background was considered such a “no no” that she did not dare mention her ancestry until she had secured her position as Top Star. This gives an idea of how stuck-up Japanese society can be about something so nonsensical.

But guess what, be it the skills of singing, dancing or acting, Sonim masters any and all, and more. Her voice is powerful and her acting impactful. She is never afraid to pull ugly grimaces or let snot cover her face if that’s what the role calls for. Sonim never plays ‘a female role’, she plays a strong character who happens to be a woman. This really is an enormous breath of fresh air, especially in Japan!

Her Korean ancestry was not the only thing holding her back. In the past she worked for a different agency, but that agency found her too “manly and scary”, and urged her to stop working out and building muscles. It may be just a rumour, but some say that she was later fired for not being marketable as a female idol. Some think it’s purely because she was too burly, while others think it was an excuse to fire her for being Korean. I think it might have been a bit of both >.>

After she left the previous agency she made her way into TOHO, and almost like an Imperial middle-finger to the previous agency, TOHO immediately awarded her with the title of ‘Ogosho’, giving her life-time job security.

She is an ‘Ogosho’ or ‘Princess’ not just in name alone, obviously. Like I said above, she is equipped with theatre skills that will just blow anyone’s mind. If anything, scratch ‘Princess’ and just name her ‘Queen’, TOHO.

Summary: It’s going well being princess-chatelaine of Azuchi castle, and even better as Masamune’s lover. Unfortunately, a delegation from the imperial (I’ve used royal) court of Kyoto threatens to disrupt things, since one of the high-born ladies of the court has a long-standing crush on Masamune.

“Hey! That was–”

It was a warm summer day, but that’s not why I was feeling hot under the collar. Or rather, collars, since Sengoku-era dress included an under-collar, if not a whole extra under-kimono plus under-collar. The reason for my rising temper was a thin, extremely well-dressed young woman, who was walking around my favourite clothiers handling the displayed cloth, and clothing, with a bored look of disdain. Worse, she’d just reached around me and taken the spool of blue embroidery thread I’d been about to pick up.

“Is there a problem Princess-Chatelaine?” The woman’s rather high-pitched voice held the distinct accent of the Kyoto upper class–the royalty and near-royalty, in fact. Not that I would have known that, a week ago, but I did now, after spending four days catering to the needs of a whole group of them, not to mention their servants, their children, and their animals.

With all the deference I could muster–and that wasn’t much, by this point–I smiled with false sweetness at Lady Okano, murmuring, “No problem at all, my lady. I just wished to let you know that I have already arranged to buy that thread from the merchant.” I shot a pleading look at the merchant, who knew me well, and he immediately backed me up.

“The Princess-Chatelaine is indeed correct, my lady.” The man bowed deeply. “I had only put that spool of thread on the display table so that she might examine it for any defects in colour or strength.” That was an outright lie, but not a flicker of it showed in the merchant’s face or voice. The members of the royal party from Kyoto had not made themselves popular in town, and only esteem for Nobunaga had prevented outright ill-will.

Lady Okano shot me an unpleasant look, and held the spool up to the light. She made a point of unravelling more than was necessary for a test piece, and then tugged on it sharply. Fortunately, it didn’t break, and the lady’s patent disappointment helped me to hold my smile.

“I suppose it is to be expected that the Princess-Chatelaine purchases a great deal of this particular hue, since I hear she is the mistress of Lord Date Masamune. He favours this shade of blue, does he not?” She set down the thread, not deigning to actually hand it to me.

I felt a severe eye-roll coming on, but was saved from reply by a familiar, and much-loved, voice. I whispered a silent thank you to the gods of not slapping arrogant ladies-in-waiting.

“I do favour that shade of blue, Lady Okano–how very observant of you! I see that you are rightly famed for being like a hawk when it comes to noticing things about others.” Masamune strode jauntily into the shop, somehow navigating the crowded space without mishap, despite his swords. Mind you, the swords accessorized well with the sharp smile he wore, which didn’t reach his blue eye. It reminded me more of Mitsuhide than Masamune, which wasn’t a good sign.

“Masamune!” I grinned up at him, as he placed a light kiss on my forehead. Lady Okano would no doubt pretend to be scandalized, but my beloved was not one to avoid public displays of affection. It set him apart from others, and probably would even in modern times.

“Hideyoshi said you’d gone shopping, Kitten,” he told me. “I figured there was a good chance you’d be here.” Turning to face Lady Okano, whose carefully rounded brows had risen almost to her hairline, he added, “I’m afraid you’ll have to work a little harder to be as well-informed as Hideyoshi, my lady. Though I suppose you’ll get better with practice. It takes a real knack to know how to stand outside people’s doors with just the right amount of friendly concern, after all.”

Masamune had all but run over Lady Okano when he’d left my room this afternoon–we’d been sharing tea, and possibly one or two kisses–and he wasn’t impressed. He accepted that the nobility spied on each other as a matter of course, but she’d been too obvious, and she’d let her dislike for me show a little too clearly the night before. Mitsuhide had already had a word with me about her just after her arrival, to let me know that she had a thing for Masamune, and probably wouldn’t be thrilled to find me occupying his time. The way he’d pronounced ‘time’ had been a masterpiece of innuendo, of course.

“Although perhaps you don’t mind sharing, little one?” he’d murmured, amber eyes glinting wickedly. “After all, you are famed for your generous spirit, and it might be an interesting experience.”

My attempt at a death glare had made him laugh, but his warning had been apt. If the royal party as a whole were pains in the behind, then Lady Okano was more of a pain in the everything. She wasn’t bad when Nobunaga was around–in fact she was silent, as a well-behaved princess should be–but otherwise, she was– Well, in short, Mitsuhide was right that she wasn’t ready to give up on Masamune without a fight. I was starting to contemplate the old ‘poisoned-pin-in-the-collar-of-the-haori’ trick.

Masamune himself had tried to be clear with her, within the bounds of semi-politeness. He’d told me himself that she was pretty, but not the kind of pretty that he kissed. When I’d demanded more specifics, he’d shrugged and said: “She kissed me, lass, and I may have kissed her back–the first time. After that, I took her measure and stayed clear. She’s a creature of politics and poison, and I don’t need that in my life. I’m just sorry that she might cause trouble for you.”

And so here we were, in my favourite shop, and my temper was rising. Masamune could probably shield me, and the shop-keeper was obviously prepared to collude with me, but this was the kind of thing I wanted to be able to deal with myself. I glanced up at Masamune, and saw his edged smile turn more roguish, as his eye met mine.

“Lady Okano,” I began, stepping away from Masamune a little, “you look quite unwell!” I crowded into her space, trying to channel my inner Mitsuhide. “I do believe the heat is too much for you.”

“Princess-Chatelaine–I assure you–”

“No, no, I won’t hear a word!” I peered into her face, feigning concern. “You look quite red, even under your perfectly applied make-up–which is rather overdone for shopping in Azuchi Castle Town, if you don’t mind just a little word of friendly advice.”

“Really!”

I clasped her hands in mine, and she tried to shrink away. Quite ineffectively, as it turned out, since I was significantly stronger than she was, if only a little taller.

“Masamune, dear, would you please call Lady Okano’s maid, and her servant–they’re just outside, no doubt you saw them.”

“Right away, Kitten. She’s always so kind to others, Lady Okano…” Masamune looked like he was trying not to laugh.

“I am quite well, Princess-Chatelaine!” Lady Okano’s eyes were brilliant with embarrassment and anger.

I quickly glanced around, and saw that the shop-keeper had prudently made himself scarce. I brought my mouth a little closer to my would-be-rival’s ear–quite à la Mitsuhide, I thought–and said gently, “You are not well, my lady. If you were, you would have noticed that Lord Masamune is no longer available. Not only that, but surely you realize by now that I have Lord Nobunaga’s favour–as his chatelaine–and not even your own family truly wishes to offend him?” I’d been in the Sengoku long enough to learn at least some of its ways, thanks to Masamune, Mitsuhide, Sasuke, and all the others.

Lady Okano was furious, but she’d stopped trying to move my hands, which were still clasped tightly around hers. “You’ve made a bad enemy in me, Princess,” she hissed threateningly. “I hope you don’t mind looking over your shoulder every day after this outrage–”

“Ha!” Masamune’s puff of laughter held real amusement. He stood in the entrance to the street, hands on his hips. “Are you trying to threaten my lass? Oda Nobunaga’s court is hardly a place for those who aren’t familiar with assassination attempts. Besides, she’s stopped two of them herself already–and has even tackled an armed daimyo who tried to flee after plotting treason against our lord.”

“You always bring that up!” My mock glare up at Masamune was more of a loving twinkle, I suspected.

“I can’t help it!” His grin was infectious.

I turned my eyes back to meet Lady Okano’s, and let go of her. “I think you will find it much more comfortable to allow the castle staff, and your own servants, to attend you in your room for the remainder of your stay–don’t you, my lady?” Before she could reply, I called to her maid-servant, who was hovering behind Masamune’s tall form. “Sachi? Please come look after Okano-dono. She has been overcome by the heat, and wishes to return to the castle to lie down.”

There was a longish silence, and then Lady Okano capitulated. “It is as you say, Princess-Chatelaine. Sachi–we will return at once to Azuchi Castle. The shops here are tedious, and my head aches.”

I suddenly wondered if Masamune should escort her back–she was high nobility, after all, and related to the royal family. Fortunately, he appeared to have thought of that.

“Mitsunari accompanied me into town, Lady Okano,” said Masamune, giving her a slight bow. “I am quite sure that he’ll be happy to escort you back to the castle.”

“Poor Mitsunari,” I murmured, as Masamune joined me in the shop by the embroidery wares.

“Oh he’ll be fine. He’s impervious to her kind of bad temper and barbs. Probably won’t even notice it, and respond as though they’re having a nice walk together. Alternately, he’ll understand the situation perfectly, and behave exactly the same way.” Masamune put an arm around my shoulders, pulling me close. “Good to know you’ll fight to keep me, lass.”

“Don’t get a swollen head!”

He laughed, then turned me to face him, so that he could steal a kiss. I thought I saw the curtain to the back-room move a fraction, but nobody came in, fortunately. Since we were alone, I returned the kiss with one of my own.

“You are the only one for me,” Masamune told me, a few kisses later.

“Thank you. I hope I haven’t caused trouble for Lord Nobunaga.”

“Nah, you’ve probably helped him. He’d rather have you tell Her Ladyship what’s what, than have to step in himself. Much better all around, keeps it personal, not political–well, less so than it could be.”

“So I’m learning?”

“Yep. Just enough, but not”–he kissed me again, his teeth nibbling at my lower lip for a moment–”not too much.” He looked at me seriously. “I don’t want you to stop being you, even if you do have to learn to deal with some of our weird politics. Okay?”

“Okay!”

“And now you should buy some nice things, to make up for us taking over this shop for so long.”

Laughing up at him, I agreed. Privately, though, I decided not to use the first length of blue thread from the disputed spool. It wasn’t just pettiness–mostly. But Lady Okano had probably gotten sweat on it, and who wanted that? I gave Masamune’s hand a squeeze, and then called the patient merchant back into the front of the shop.

Dormitory: Potentially Diasomnia or Octavinelle, but Ramshackle for the story plot.

School Year: First year

Personality: Amber is quiet and thoughtful, but a bit naïve as her brother sheltered her. She does not understand human customs much.

Unique Magic Bloodline ability: As an imperial sea dragon princess, water and the sea bends to her commands.

Backstory: Amber was born in the Nepturil Empire in the benthic region. She is also Nepturil's first imperial princess. In her youth, a war broke out between Nepturil and Tsunadore that took her parents and made her brother, Sora, the Emperor. She was also bullied by her cousins out of jealous as she is directly in line for the throne which caused her to speak less till she met Misha. After meeting Misha Phan, Amber went on exploring the dry lands. {To add more and edited}

Notes

In Amber’s universe, unique magic is not a thing but magic specific to one’s bloodline is. For example, the royal family of the Obsidian Empire has special magic related to crystals, gems, and ice.

Her true form is a red eastern dragon, the long dragon (Reference)

Her human form was made by a young Misha

She doesn’t understand the need for clothes so at times, she would change in front of others.

Even in human form, her skin is still thick. So if something like a brick is thrown at her, the brick will break but she won’t have a scratch.

She keeps her horns in human form though.

She likes to eat any type of flowers, regardless if the flower is poisonous or not.

When water is splash onto her skin, her scale appears.

Everyone is surprised by Amber’s appearance, especially her horns

Riddle was curious about her during her sorting, along with the fact she is a girl and obvious being a dragon

Leona made note of Amber, because she is a dragon but also the fact she is a female. Not that he will go out of his way to help her, he might send Ruggie though

Pako commented that they think Nobu obtained both her clothes and Hesikiri Hasebe upon getting summoned. This must be the first summon in Koha-Ace. Probably Nobu was summoned with Hesikiri Hasebe as a catalyst. She killed that Mage and made Artoria her Master. How the sword came to have that name involved Nobu cutting down a follower who committed the same mistake as the Mage, insulting her. Masamune sword is supposed to cut only what its wielder intended to and to only the ones that deserve it. Hasebe Kunishige forged the sword and was one of Masamune's famous 10 students. The story said that Nobu cut through the cupboard without using any force. This feat alone shows the difference between Muramasa sword and Masamune sword. Perhaps because Hasebe wasn't as skilled as his master or that his craft hasn't attained that divine status that the sword cut both the cupboard and that follower. If it was a Masamune, maybe it could have only cut the person? Or just the cupboard to terrify that follower into never doing so again? How much that follower deserves getting cut is unknown but the Mage definitely deserved it. He mocked Nobu for being a woman AND tried to use Artoria as an expendable mana tank. Obviously Nobu didn't cut Artoria down with said sword and in no way does Artoria deserve getting cut. She was willing to become a sacrifice for the country's sake. Nobu mostly fought with her gun in Imperial Grail War. The only instances she used her sword were against Okita. She didn't keep it on her person, summoning it from somewhere instead. Since it became part of her arsenal again, it should be able to harm Servants and other supernatural things. Given how often Artoria come with her to the field and how she seemed to wander around a lot to either keep tab on the situation or to fight, Nobu could have left it with her for Artoria's safety. Typically of the Artorias we know, Nobu's Master only has an excellent reservoir of mana, she knows no spell whatsoever. Her swordsmanship is enough to be a master though. Even subconsciously Nobu hold onto this sword. The chibi Nobus in Shinsengumi have Okita's VA but still use Hasebe Heshikiri. The Artonobus in Gudaguda 3 are the same with Nobusengumis except for the VA - this time Artoria's. There is a chance that Masamune's quality to not cut what its master doesn't want to manifest in Nobu's reflexive fight avoidance with Artoria whenever they met. Hasebe Heshikiri played an important role in their meeting as it was used to clear that Mage from Nobu's way and cut open a path ahead for Artoria. Upon coming to Chaldea, that sword hasn't left Nobu's side. It's not a Masamune sword but its root is Masamune. That sword with its Masamune root is a physical reminder of Nobu's bond with Artoria. It changed shape and adapted to Nobu's fighting style as their Master Servant relationship becomes equal partnership. (My desire to see Master Artoria reuniting with Nobu only grow with each Gudaguda event however) In story, Nobu hasn't 'killed' Artoria even once. That Uesugi Artoria is a Lancer so unless the player chose Nobu as Support on purpose, she was taken out by a Saber. In FSN, Artoria was killed by Muramasa's supposed descendant and his projected sword. Another reason for me to say Muramasa isn't compatible with Artoria and is a bad match. It doesn't help that it led to a bad end if said descendant chose to not kill her.

I’m glad I was of some use!

Hum... those two are the hardest actually because they change a lot according to the media they’re in. D no Maou and the stage for example changed quite a bit Sakuma’s personality, while the anime changed Gamo’s personality making it rather different from the original novel.

As everyone seems to be into the Joker Game anime, I’ll assume you’re asking about Sakuma and Gamo from the anime and I’ll use the other media only when they don’t contrast with the anime canon.

So Sakuma.

Sakuma is very much a representative of a man of his time, or better of how a man of his time was expected to be, with all the good points he was meant to have. He’s serious, honest, hardworking, fair, loyal, capable of self reflection,observant and attentive.

In the novel we learn he was one of the best at the army academy and, always in the novel, Odagiri will comment on how the D Agency spies physical training was something he believed one needs Army training to pass (he was suprised when the other spies, clearly not from the Army, would pass it).

If we compare what the novel says about Sakuma’s ability at the academy:

“Sakuma, who had a fair amount of confidence in his observation andmemorizing skills, had graduated from the Academy with flying colours, and wasconsidered to be an “elite”; yet, he could only describe the abilities of theexaminees as “unusual”.“ [“Joker Game: Chap 1 Joker Game]

and what it says about Odagiri/Tobisaki:

“At the Military PreparatorySchool and Imperial Japanese Army Academy, he was almost always getting the topresults. This wasn’t to impress anyone else, it was his natural abilities andpride that had made it happen.” [Joker Game: Chap 5 XX]

we can speculate the two are more or less even in regard to ‘soldier abilities’.

What Odagiri seems to best Sakuma is his ability at memorizing meaningless details.

Note that Sakuma too is attentive to details, he’ll figure Muto was hungover or how Gordon’s reaction isn’t the standard one but his attention focus on only certain details, details that seem relevant to him.

You might say he has a more selective memory than the D boys who remember and observe EVERYTHING.

Back to Sakuma he is probably meant to have all the virtues a man of his time was meant to have, only if you turn them around they can very well become flaws. Because he’s fair and honest, his first approach to the Joker Game is to expect the boys would be fair and honest as well.

Although the boys are civilians they’re now working for the Army so he expect they would keep a behaviour that would be commendable for a soldier.

So it’s not exactly he’s naive, it’s just he didn’t consider them cheating because to him it’s ‘unnatural’.

He didn’t immediately think Gordon might have hidden the cyphers behind the emperor’s portrait not because he’s lazy or not attentive or anything but because there’s such a strong taboo in touching it (people committed suicide for doing it) he didn’t even consider the idea because to him it would be ‘unnatural’.

In fact for most time he will see the D boys as ‘not human’ because they do things that to him are ‘unnatural’, therefore he can’t understand them and he’s sort of weirded out when not outright disgusted by their behaviour.

He needs to be explained it, and only then he can work it out.

You can see he managed to understand Tazaki’s explanation in the end and even use it to figure out something about Tazaki.

What I always found very interesting though, was that Sakuma was sent them to report the D boys misbehaviours and they, especially in the novel, misbehaved quite seriously and yet he won’t tattle them out to Muto.

Yuuki asked him if he was a spy but Sakuma denied and we can see in the end he hadn’t spied them.

It’s hinted Sakuma had friends before coming to D Agency, which points at how he was actually a social guy, although in D Agency he can’t socialize well with the boys. Side material though shows him not shy to praise the boys when they do well.

Considering Sakuma was an army academy student and this sort of studies was expensive it’s possible his family is either well off or upper class.

It’s speculated the baby is Sakuma which would make his father a member of the Army as well.

Ultimately, when Sakuma finally manages to connect the dots and understand why the D boys were the way they were, he overcomes his problems at accepting their words and is disappointed in himself for not figuring it out sooner.

Sakuma is very self aware. Although a side of him is flattered Yuuki asked him to join D Agency, he chooses not to because he realizes he himself is a soldier and will remain as such... although his beliefs has shifted a bit in fact he claims he refuses to let people use any longer (which wasn’t a thought a soldier should have).

In the drama cd we see that when Sakuma has the role of the teacher and therefore he’s in a mindset that’s less against the D boys behaviour, he’s very supportive of them, considering their duty to stand at their side even when he believed there could be a bomb in the place.

He still remains a guy scolding prone though ^_-

Now Gamo.

In the novel version Gamo was one of the D Agency students but the anime turned him into a Wind Agency students.

What we can infer from this? He’s likely another soldier, like Sakuma and Odagiri, only he’s probably one who also had attended to the War College (Sakuma and Odagiri stopped at Army Academy) because Kazato was affronted Yuuki would refuse people from the War college and likely, in retaliation, he made his pick among members of the war college.

As a consequences Gamo is likely older than all the D boys and possibly than Sakuma and might outrank him (although in the past I speculated the Wind Agency boys were also second lieutenants this is unlikely as people needed to be first lieutenants or captains to attend to the war college).

Wind Agency copied its training method from D Agency, so Gamo too is very capable, but not its phylosophy and, as a consequence, its members are probably less open minded than D Agency members.

They prefer to kill to solve problems. It’s also meaningful how in the novel D Agency Gamo didn’t ask for the key to Graham’s safe as he knew how to open it on his own, while anime Wind Agency Gamo wanted it.

You can speculate this means Wind Agency members are either less well versed at opening safes or just more reluctant at doing it.

The previews gives me the feeling Gamo is one who has a view of the world that’s very ‘fight like’.

With Jitsui he remarks his view of chess is of a violent sport...

with Odagiri that chess isn’t about winning or losing but about living or dying.

In this I’ll say he betrays his nature as a soldier who sees everything as a war in which he’ll either kill the other part or die trying.

Although Gamo graduated in Wind Agency while working on the Graham’s case he is shown often near Kazato so maybe he either trusted him in a special way or has taken a liking to him (though more likely the truth is the other poor Wind Agency guys were just stand in).

Gamo can clearly look friendly, humble, he’s attentive but he probably is similar to Sakuma as he overlooks some relevant details. He can be cold and ruthless but, I think, he views himself as a patriot not as a bad guy.

It might be not really relevant but the draws of his chibi version seem to point out he can be pretty cheerful (though we also saw as he could be stone cold) and how he too, like everyone in this story really, is a smoker.

From the picture in which he place away the books I’ll say he’s a guy who’s ordered and precise. However from the way in the story in which he murders in cold blood Cho, stabbing him in the back I’ll say he’s not a honest boy like Sakuma, but won’t hesitate in using dirty tricks Sakuma would find dishonourable.

He seems to be good at analyzing people through chess but he can let himself be fooled by Morishima/Jitsui deceptively harmless appearance.
