a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.

life for gaza - raising money for the gaza municipality to repair water and waste management infrastructure
taawon - partners with local civil organizations to provide food, water, medical care, shelter, and basic supplies
the sameer project - running various initiatives providing tents, medical care, and necessities. they have their own encampment project focused on sheltering families with children, sick and disabled members, or members in need of perinatal care
islamic relief worldwide's gaza emergency appeal - provides food, water, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and psychological support
baitulmaal - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, shelter, and medical supplies

dahnoun mutual aid - provides water, food, tents, baby supplies, financial support, and other necessities. updates can be found through their instagram
certainly this is not an exhaustive list, so please feel free to add on other projects or organizations that i didn't include. and as always, please take the time to donate if you can and share. it truly makes all the difference.

Another tactic: You can also try writing to your local newspaper! Once you've reached a dozen emails that you've sent to the town and gotten no response, just zip those up and send them to the paper. Most local papers LOVE reporting on things that make them look good (ie: standing up for disability rights) while fighting 'The Man' (town hall).
ANOTHER tip: If your many emails go ignored, consider finding a (free) lawyer to write a letter to the town on your behalf. You're not suing (who can afford that?), but sometimes just getting a letter with legal letterhead and a lawyer's address is enough to scare towns into fixing things. My mom recently won a YEARS long battle with her municipality over a pothole they refused to fix by going this route. Two days after the lawyer letter was received, they suddenly had a construction team at the pothole.
Another tactic that is more situational: if the inaccessibility occurred at a place of business and that business is a franchise or chain (like McDonald's or Target), complain to the main office/corporate office about it. Often they don't care. But sometimes they do. I once had success at a Dollar Tree because it had snowed, and they'd shoveled literally all the sidewalk EXCEPT for the disability ramp, which was where they'd dumped all the snow from shoveling. Pissed the hell out of me. Made a complaint to the main corporate office. The next day, the snow was cleared and they'd salted the shit out of the ramp.
Anyways, these are some other ideas I've either had success with myself or seen others have success. Good luck, OP! You can do it.
Today I had the spoons to hunt down my neighborhood council's email and send them an email that basically said "I would like to be able to leave my house but my neighborhood is not wheelchair accessible. Who do I talk to in order to get this fixed?" And I am planning on hunting down whoever is in charge of sidewalks in my neighborhood and getting real annoying about it.
My plan is to email them every time I want to go somewhere but can't.
Email 1: hello, please fix sidewalks so I can ride the bus places I am very passionate about public transportation and also being able to leave my house.
Email 200: This morning I woke up and wanted some delicious coffee to start my day, but upon getting out of bed I discovered we were out of coffee. I would've liked to take advantage of the city's public transportation system in order to support a local business like [examples of local coffee shops] but alas I cannot because I am a wheelchair user and my neighborhood is not wheelchair accessible. [Insert rest of arguement RE accessibility]. In conclusion I don't work I can keep these emails coming until I die please just fix my sidewalks.
This is going to be my new spite hobby. I was already mad about the abuse and general shit hand the disabled get dealt in our culture but then I started using a wheelchair and places like doctor's offices have been inaccessible to me so now I am filled with rage. So I am going to take that rage and do something with it. Like emailing my city counsel representatives at 2 am like "I crave a moonlight walk fix my sidewalks please."

Michigan Driving Tangents: Out of State Driver + Google Maps + Kalamazoo was a death trap in 2006. Also, no one on the Detroit expressways seemed to understand that the solid lines meant DON'T PASS in 2014.
Also, my lone Michigan Pothole story: "IS THIS A CONSTRUCTION ZONE?? DID YOU SEE THAT HOLE? ... OMG THERE'S ANOTHER ONE." in 2016.
I've been to Michigan three times and have nearly died in a car at least a dozen moments.
I hit a pothole (a Michigan pothole so basically a sinkhole) today and my check engine light came on. I don’t have one of those computer plugins to reset the light and I knew it was just a sensor that got knocked so I was just like “well let’s see if this works” and on the way home I swerved and hit the pothole again and the check engine light turned off
