Opacity Tester: Measuring Light Transmission

How Does an Opacity Tester Work?

" Cuties 8": this cutie and two other recently posted were made when I was seashing a style for another project (not burried yet, I need an impulse first...) the famous adventures of Von Maus. And this style test in particular was to really "animalize" the character design. All the blacks! Each one is unique and all of them look lovely on this G Lalo stationery 🖤🖤 I've been having trouble with my McCaffery's though, two bottles in a row now are growing things like crazy and even after scooping the goop out, they just aren't oxidizing to black, I guess I'll just reserve it for when I'm going for brown :/ I did a bad job on the consistency on that lunar black watercolor too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The script is based on a font called Allyson that combines the flattened lozenge terminals I used on a recent client piece with the inverted curve entry strokes I like to do, and a Spencerian styled set of lowercase letterforms. I happened across it yesterday and had one of those "Oh! That has all the things I love moments" 😊
