i always thought it was interesting (and fitting) that sleepacross chose to associate sayeon with the king piece as opposed to the queen piece.

although you have to kill or capture the king in order to win a game of chess, the king is arguably the weakest piece in the game, only being able to move one square in any direction. in contrast, the queen can move any number of squares in any direction: horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

while the other trainees can create bombs, summon blades from their hands, and literally manipulate their own blood, sayeon is given the ability to turn back time for 20 seconds (and 60 seconds if she tries really hard). her gift is not powerful on it’s own, nor is it the most useful in a combat. some might even consider her to be one of, if not the weakest aberrant among the trainees of her year.

instead, sayeon’s power lies in neither her physical capabilities nor her gift (though she can hold her in a physical fight), but her intelligence, her ability to extract information, manipulate variables (whether it be objects or people) to her advantage, and adapt to her given situation.

so while she isn’t overtly dangerous or strong, she still manages to be quite a formidable opponent.

Can you imagine witnessing your dad's biblically horrific violent death as a child with your brother and everyone thinks it's a tragic accident and your mother, who you were never really that close to before his death, gets irrationally angry at you whenever you try to talk about your father or the impossible circumstances around his death and tells you you're crazy and a pathological liar who can't be trusted, and your brother is so traumatized from also witnessing his death that he sides with your mother and lies to your face and also calls you crazy and a liar and turns a blind eye to your mother's increasingly severe paranoia induced abuse and manipulation, so you run away from home with your girlfriend who's a lot older than you when you're 15 and have no contact with your mom or brother, and then years later you find out your girlfriend, who's been a jerk this whole time, is leaving you for someone else and is taking the cat you adopted together, and while you're trying to get your fucking cat back, your brother breaks years of no contact to tell you that he's married, him and his wife are expecting a baby, and also now your mom just fucking died so you need to come back to your small town to help plan her funeral and sell her giant house full of secrets you frankly don't care about at all, and you are guilted into the entire thing because your brother is making her death due to an illness "worsened by stress" your fault because you ran away from home and ruined her reputation, and you're already in an insane post toxic breakup/mid feline custody battle bender, so you curse him out and break down about it but agree to go back to your hometown with the secret intention of trying to get your sister in law to leave your brother before their baby is born and to also maybe process some of your extensive childhood trauma you've been repressing with horrific attachment issues and untreated mental health issues, but it turns out things are even more fucked up in your hometown except for this lesbian with problems who adopts you as her pet freak because she's obsessed with how insane and dysfunctional you are who you sort of fall in love with and start being able to value yourself and others amidst The Genuine Horrors? it's gonna be my next huge project sometime soon (honestly i planned on writing a big chunk of it before putting it out, bit it might be better for me to go chapter by chapter, so it starts whenever i finish chapter one). the tag's kind of cluttered since i havent made a masterpost (i havent felt the need to since its gonna be a fic but i realize that might be a bad idea) but like

essentially, its a sep au centered around mikey and donnie wanting to connect and become a family, with raph and leo serving as antagonists that want to stop them (raph because he's protective of mikey and reasonably suspicious of the twins working with draxum, and leo because he's EXTREMELY petty and jealous and him and donnie are a tad.... codependent). donnie and mikey are the pov characters, but mikey has officially taken the spot as Main Character because he serves a pretty proactive role compared to donnie. i end up talking about mikey and leo's dynamic the most because they're fucking hilarious, but the story is b team centric, dont be fooled

if youre asking because of the post i made just a second ago, i bring up casey because she's leo's best friend and greatest ally in pretty much everything he does (also kind of his qpp?). their dynamic also parallels raph and april's, who have a similar thing going on as each other's biggest supporters. leo and casey have the funniest fucking bestieship going on and i love them dearly

it's a lot more comedic than my usual projects, so it might be a bit of whiplash if you're coming from canary continuity. if you learned about me through cvd this is right on brand though

Hello. Salutations. I hope you're well. My name is Eucalyptus. People I know call me Euca. Or Euclid. Or Endless. Interchangable.

I'm 20.

My gender is... A tad complicated. But I've spent a lot of time working it out. I identify as a bit of a girl, but not really in a way that could be binary. But definitely girl. And by that matter, I'm trans. I'm proud to be. I'm still working out getting hrt. I'm somewhat socially transitioned.

I like to go by She/Her and It/It's primarily. Fae/Faer and Bear/Bears/Bearself is also acceptable. They/Them is fine for strangers/first few times, but if you know me please stick to the others.

I still grow a beard. I wear dresses. i wear a trench coat. I like to think I'm a bit of a femme butch. Take that how you will.

- I was born in February. My assigned pregnancy cravings food was and is chocolate waffles with cheese on them [I like them with strawberry jelly and chicken nuggets added]

- I am kind of a Sasquatch. Thank my mutually hairy parents and the people before them. I come from a long line of musicians I have Hungarian, Croatian, Czechlovakian, Irish, Scottish, and Romani blood coursing through my veins.

- but for simple ease I am American. WA. Semi insomniac. You get me.

- I like to draw. A lot. I also like to write but it comes and goes. I also make food. I can cook and bake. Im good at grilled cheese. I wish to make food creations that would make the powers that me tremble in fear. Also I listen to and sometimes fiddle around with music. I go to karaoke occasionally.

- I like my chocolate cake with strawberry filling, and a side of tapatío sauce and canned nacho cheese sauce. i compare it to a spicy cheesecake.

- I'm neurodivergent. Autism and ADHD. Dual gifted genetics yet again. I think of it like having high ram processing and laggy response time. My brain Always has multiple tabs and programs open.

- I'm polyamorous. I have a lot of unrequited life and affection and so far I'm dating three people [@tinysweetvoid @neosiaxiom , third not on here] and I love both of them dearly. I don't know how I did it but I did. The power of autistic nat 20 seduction and deduction rolls, I guess?? Oh and I guess I'm somewhere along the lines of Demi. I crush pretty easily.
