Acchi Kocchi

Summary : The serious-minded Io and the pure-hearted Tsumiki feel they never want to be parted, but haven't become a couple yet. More than friends but less than lovers, they develop an awkward quasi-romance.

Acchi Kocchi or also Place to Place, is a comedy and romance anime from Spring of 2012 (almost 8 years everybody!!) This anime is pure CUTENESS! Yea the drawing my look to you like strange to see the characters like in a chibi version, but this is easy looked out when you pass the first episodes. Tsumiki Miniwa is a somewhat petite girl who is hopelessly in love with Io. She has a tsundere attitude: sharp and sarcastic on the outside while loving on the inside. She is so adorable! Whenever Io gives Tsumiki a pat on the head or Tsumiki sees something she likes, she grows cat ears.(Can you believe it!? Can she be more cute?) For the other side we have Io Otonashi, the main male protagonist. Dense, yet kind at heart, he is oblivious to Tsumiki's crush on him, but she is the girl closest to him regardless and he may have feelings for her. At times he unknowingly acts like a casanova which makes all girls heart flutter and have nosebleed. For some reason, cats are immediately drawn to him. (Tsumiki is like a cat, and Io attracts cats... Hmm... )

This cute and sweet romance in not the only thing we have in this anime. What makes this anime so good is his COMEDY. Tons and tons of comedy! To help with that we have the characters Mayoi Katase, Sakaki Inui and Hime Haruno. Mayoi Along whit Sakaki makes up the prankster duo in the friendship circle. Mayoi is a genius with electronics and almost never seen without her lab coat, she loves to tease Tsumiki about her crush on Io, which often brings her severe repercussions from Tsumiki herself. She tends to end her sentences with "nyan". (Cats say 'nyan' on Japanese... Hmm... ) Sakaki is Io's best friend and partner-in-crime. Like Mayoi; he is also a frequent victim of slapstick, although normally by pure accident rather than karmic backlash. His family have a nice Cafe with a cats dessert theme. (more cats... Hmm... ) And Hime, well she's the clumsy and air-headed member of the group. She has a very sweet and innocent personality. She also gets easily frightened and gets nosebleeds whenever she becomes excited or infatuated by anything cute or romantic. (I always wondered if she didn't die of anemia)

Do I have something negative to say about this anime? Besides of just having 12 episodes and 1 extra, NON. Absolutely nothing! This anime has cero drama and cero suspense. It has tons of cuteness, cats, comedy, cats, sweet moments, cats and comedy... Did I already say that it has cats? Is just perfect for a boring day or a long trip (Believe me this is the only thing I need when I travel, I've watched it like 15 times) Some jokes are Japanese so you might not understand at first, but it also has a lot of silly situations that will make you laugh out loud more that once. Enjoy this cute comedy whit a slice of romance.
