HAPPENING NOW🚨
The International Boxing Association is holding a press conference in Paris to address the issues surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting.
Dr. Ioannis Filippatos, the former Chair of IBA Medical Committee and an OB/GYN with three decades of experience, has spoken.
He has confirmed that neither Lin nor Khelif are biological females, and has slammed the IOC for using passports as a system for determining gender.
"Medicine is knowledge, it is not opinion ... One passport can give to us the opportunity to be men, and, tomorrow when I go back to Athens, I can go to my government and change my name from Ioannis to Ionnia. That means I am a woman tomorrow? Please. The nature and the biological world do not change."

Long-distance runner and athletics coach Majed Abu Maraheel was the first Palestinian to compete in the Olympics and was the flag bearer at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
He has passed away due to lack of access to medical treatment caused by the ongoing israeli-imposed siege on Gaza.

Paris Olympics are in a month from now and yet, the apartheid entity will be allowed to compete because the International Olympics Committee willfully ignores the entity's crimes in Gaza and against their fellow athletes.

Ari Drennen at MMFA:
Right-wing media spent years demanding that President Donald Trump ban transgender women from competing in women’s sports. He complied. But rather than declare victory, conservative outlets immediately demanded even stricter measures, expanding their campaign to include intersex athletes and calling for invasive genetic testing. Their goal isn't fairness; it's perpetual outrage and ideological policing of women's bodies. After Trump signed an executive order to ban trans women from women’s sports, right-wing media figures quickly pivoted to a months-old controversy centered around Olympic boxer Imane Khelif, a cisgender Algerian athlete who was falsely accused of being transgender last summer. Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championships, even though she was assigned female at birth. Despite this, conservative media have revisited Khelif’s case as justification for excluding intersex women, labelling the boxer as “male” in order to claim Trump's ban isn't strict enough, and once again moving the goalposts in their ongoing obsession over who counts as a woman in 2025.
The reality: trans athletes are a tiny fraction of competitors
The portrayal of transgender women as dominating forces in women's sports is a deliberate distortion. Exemplifying the kind of misinformation driving this narrative, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) recently claimed without evidence that “we’re getting to a point now where women and girls’ sports are getting ready to be extinct,” because, he said, “Already in states across this country, we have high school teams that are made up of totally boys participating against girls.” In reality, the number of trans athletes is even smaller than you might imagine. But conservative outlets have amplified isolated cases in order to manufacture fear, portraying transgender athletes as an existential threat to women’s sports.
Right-wing media push for broader bans and genetic testing
After Trump’s executive order took effect, right-wing media quickly escalated their demands. On February 19, Fox News' America's Newsroom highlighted supposed “loopholes” in the NCAA’s regulations that critics claim would allow transgender athletes to compete. That same day, Fox host Harris Faulkner raised fears about the NCAA’s policies, saying that “if birth certificates don’t count … we are in a world of hurt.” Later that evening, host Laura Ingraham carried the topic into the Fox opinion block, attacking pro-trans policies in Maine and suggesting a loss of federal funding could follow as a consequence. By February 24, Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo suggested that the NCAA could lose its nonprofit status if it doesn’t comply with anti-trans restrictions — framing the issue as a financial threat. Anti-trans activist Riley Gaines escalated further the same week, calling for financial penalties to be levied against non-compliant schools and states and warning Fox viewers, “The war on woke has certainly not been won yet.” The Daily Wire echoed Gaines, highlighting an ad campaign for a t-shirt company accusing the NCAA of deliberately undermining Trump's policy. By March 6, City Journal began explicitly including intersex athletes in its push for expanded bans, advocating for chromosomal tests to exclude women with differences in sex development. Its writer asserted that “in rare cases, though more commonly in developing countries, doctors may misidentify a male newborn’s sex due to female-like or ambiguous genitalia caused by a developmental condition. … Just this summer, a loophole of this kind allowed two male athletes, Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting, to compete as women and win gold medals in boxing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.” If evidence exists for this claim about private and personal details of Khelif and Lin’s bodies, it is entirely absent from the article (seriously, go take a look). According to BBC, the International Olympic Committee has stated that “Lin and Khelif were ‘born and raised as women.’”
[...] On March 11, a group of two dozen House and Senate Republicans signed a letter calling for the International Olympic Committee to change their eligibility criteria for the 2028 Summer Games in accordance with President Trump’s executive order. “President Trump affirmed the position of the American people and those around the world,” the letter read. “Commitment from the I.O.C. to protect women’s sports is paramount.” Trans women were already effectively banned from the 2024 Paris Games.
Right-wing media influencers revive manufactured nontroversy over Imane Khelif’s gender identity to further expand bans on trans athletes.

The people bringing up the Dutch rapist beach volleyball player as a gotcha to shut down the discussion about Lin Yu Ting and Imane Khelif are fucking idiots. How is that relevant to the discussion? What does one issue have to do with the other? Beach Volleyball are Boxing are two different sports, they have separate governing bodies and different rules.
If I try to follow your reasoning, we should let suspected males beat up women and win medals and potentially money for it because a player in another sport is a rapist? This level of what aboutism is just too much.
If the IBA was trying to allow a rapist to compete then your point will have more credence but even then, males should still NOT be allowed to compete in women's categories.
Also, I thought it was common knowledge that people can care about multiple issues at once. How do you know that people do not care about both issues?
Again, most of you have no idea how sports works but it is the Dutch Volleyball Federation that decides who represents the country at the Olympics. The IOC has no control and the Dutch Volleyball Federation stood their ground on their decision. So there was nothing people on the Internet who are not citizens of the Netherlands could do to persuade them to change their decision. Perhaps Netherlands nationals could have created a petition but they didn't that and the rest of us have no influence over that.

Alex Bollinger at LGBTQ Nation:
A Republican candidate for Missouri secretary of state is now using slurs on social media to talk about LGBTQ+ people. Candidate Valentina Gomez is among the many conservatives outraged at the Olympics for allowing Algerian boxer Imane Khelif to participate, even though she is a cis woman who has, according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), met the eligibility requirements for the 2024 Olympic games. This year’s strict eligibility rules have prevented any trans woman from participating in the Olympics.
“These fa***ts should get their own fa***t category because before if a man hit a woman, it used to land him in jail. Now, it gets you a gold medal at the Olympics,” Gomez said, wearing an Olympic sweater. “Let me remind you: there’s no such thing as a chick with a d**k,” she concluded. “Keep women’s sports female.” Khelif was assigned female at birth and identifies as a woman, making her cisgender. She was treated as a girl in her rural community when she was growing up, and it’s unlikely that a trans child in rural Algeria would have been raised as a gender that didn’t match their outward appearance.
But many on the right have latched on to a statement last year from International Boxing Association (IBA) president Umar Kremlev, who said that DNA tests had “proved they had XY chromosomes and were thus excluded” from competing at IBA events. He also said that countries were recruiting cis men to compete in women’s sports. There is no evidence of that. Kremlev has long been criticized as an ally of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, using the IBA to extend Russian soft power. Putin has been using its anti-LGBTQ+ policies to differentiate Russia from Ukraine and the West, which he believes support LGBTQ+ rights because of U.S. brainwashing.
[...] Unlike the IBA, the IOC is permitting Khelif to compete but isn’t commenting on the results of gender testing, genetics, or the hormone levels of individual competitors other than to say that they meet the IOC’s eligibility rules. The IOC pulled recognition of the IBA last year due to a lack of financial transparency, which means that the IBA–unlike other individual sports organizations–has “no involvement in either the qualification for or the organization of” boxing at the 2024 Olympics.
With the Missouri primary elections coming this Tuesday, Secretary of State candidate Valentina Gomez continues her anti-LGBTQ+ hatred campaign by disparaging the LGBTQ+ community as “f***ots” in response to cis women Imane Khelif’s victories at the Olympics.
Hope you enjoy getting crushed Tuesday at the polls, you vile Andrew Tate fangirl and anti-LGBTQ+ extremist!

This is the kind of thing you’d do if you were covering something up. He’s a man. The IOC lets men compete against women. The IBA is the only entity involved in all this being honest with us. It’s the only one that hasn’t changed its story or obfuscated the relevant issue.
TRAs love to bring up DSD conditions when they’re trying to argue that sex is a spectrum (despite never being able to name a third gamete.) But when it comes to an actual man with a DSD condition, suddenly not only do DSDs not exist, but having certain organs (that there is no evidence this man has) determines sex again. This whole episode is so fundamentally unserious.
