ok so

the instructions were for Wally, not the whrp/qa/You. which is especially interesting, because I think we all assumed they were instructions from Wally - after all, he's the one telling the whrp that they have work to do, he's sending envelopes (assumedly), he's sort of the driving force behind the whole in-universe project. he calls the shots, in a way. he's the one with the phone.

so who the hell is giving Wally instructions?

is it related to the distorted "extra" voice under Wally's in some of his hidden record audios? is it related to Sally's "monster"? is there someone else in Home?

just... there's a whole 'nother layer underneath Wally that i think is really scary. there's something else there, i feel. i Fear. i wonder if Wally is aware of it, or if he isn't quite as aware as we all - including him - like to think. how aware can a puppet be if they can't see their own strings (so to speak)? it's one thing to know what you are, and another entirely to understand what that entails.

#is there a puppetmaster? something or someone lurking underneath the surface?#i know there's not like... a Big Bad if i remember correctly #but im really suspicious that there is something Extra fucking with wally #like i really hope wally is acting of his own accord #but then again - what if its a mix of him acting on his own AND something else pushing him forward #is there something trying to get Out of home?#i think now of the 'im going to get it out' sentence from the about us page #i feel like wally is trying to stay In. i feel like he just wants to revive the show but he wants to Stay #so what the hell is trying get Out. to Leave #that sentence could just be talking about the show / memories of it #but now. im just. im thinking #homebogging #and i cant remember exactly but something about wally closing the guestbook bc it wasnt 'fun' anymore for some reason #i doubt the extra secret Something is home themself #because home seems to be Suffering to an extent from wally's attempts to connect with the 'outside' world #SO WHAT IS IT? Do moon and pebbles ever refer to each other as siblings in the game? I remember pebbs mostly calls her his friend or neighbor, but I can't remember if Moon calls pebbs her brother, honestly it would be kinda sad if Moon saw him as a brother but pebbs only saw her as his neighbor, but maybe he is just formal and doesn't want to admit that he thinks of her like a big sister to the slugcats.

Oh absolutely the fact they are siblings isn't headcanons.

Though you'd be right. Pebbles has never referred to Moon as his sister in game. Only as his neighbor or senior... :) wowee how interesting hmm...

HOWEVER Moon does think of Pebbles as her little brother to the point where her public name is..

She is referred to as his sister by NSH in his conversation with Suns.

Not only that, but other iterators literally use Moon as a reminder to who he is.

"The one near Looks To The Moon" wow ouch.

She very clearly considers him her brother, that's why people know her as "Big Sis Moon" aside being a mentor figure, of course.

If you want dialogue where she directly says it here you go!

Look no further than the dialogue that ruined me for days. As if Moon wasn't my favorite character already. Anyway.

It could be possible that he simply didn't want to talk about her as his sister, because he's more formal/ because he's talking to rats.

I like to think that the language he uses reflects on how intricate and even troubled their relationship was though! He just.. had very complicated feelings about it. Being constantly associated with her no matter what, it probably felt suffocating. We know from Suns he really wanted to be his own person and sought independence/ distance. Can't blame him for that.

#ugh ok I’m feeling really negative about work but #I think this one challenging student sitch (which is more about the mom than the kid) is really getting under my skin #and then is making me make worse decisions in other areas of the work bc I’m like trying to rush things to get dealing with this over with #my therapist would say this is my Fear of Emotional Engulfment causing me to avoid/deflect/try to escape the situation #i just have a hard time not taking work stuff deeply personally #but like ok what is the very worst possible outcome?#it’s that I can’t figure out this student sitch and this company doesn’t hire me again next summer #which doesn’t seem that likely as they’ve been super supportive and have had my back when this mom is crossing boundaries #but if it DID happen - could I survive it?#absolutely. there are one million jobs out there like this and my old coaching company has already said they’d take me back anytime #and I might not even want to work a second job next summer!#so I want to work this week on just really consciously relaxing about work #the emotional stuff is like purely me reacting to someone else’s intense out of control insecurity/anxiety #so that’s what I need to work on managing - just like calming myself down and reminding myself that it is NOT my responsiblity #to soothe this woman’s big feelings & fears #I wonder if there are some common threads here with the other work situation #like I wonder if I’m making things worse in the dynamic by the way I fearfully react to it #when anyone else in this situation would just be like wow. well that person seems like a lot #but not internalize it?? idk

#mini art rant? thing? idk wtf this is.#for some reason my motivation is shot #I have this project i REALLY want to finish but it's big and i've been working on it on and off for a little over a month now #But going to the next step just seems so daunting #but i know if i keep putting it off and move on i'll never come back to it #But i don't want it to do that. cause this is something i care about and have put a lot of time in and i want it to be good #but I also really want to move onto other projects cause they sound like so much fun #I know i just need to bite the bullet sit down and do it but it's hard.#I wish I was more confident in my art so i didn't feel like this #not saying that it would go away forever. been looking in tags for a few days now to see if anyone else found the whole high cloud quintet and related story to be a bit.....poorly written, nonsensical, contradictory, full of plot holes and loose ends, etc. apparently i'm not the only one. (and i'm not even talking about shipping stuff, because any time I saw someone mad about bad writing, someone always replies to be homophobic and laugh about failed ships. weirdos.) it could have been so good but was thrown into the garbage for the most part (IF you noticed all the plot holes and contradiction. if not, then it's a fine enough story tbh. I expect most people to see it on surface level and not read all the little hidden lore bits and try to piece it together like my autistic brain did. which is ok! enjoy it if you liked it and ignore me 😆)

#apparently one of the writers did it on purpose. wont explain here. you can find it elsewhere. but it makes sense now #that's why it fell apart and didnt make sense in the end #ive seem people say anyone mad about it is a shipper and thats why. they use it as an excuse to be homophobes #youre gross get out of thos fandom. im here as someone upset about the story who was very skeptical about any ship theories and focused #more on plot theories and overall friendship and stuff so its not even about shipping you het weirdos!!!#the contradictions and plot holes are bd regrdless of who you ship lmao stop reducing it to that #aure its fine if you ignlre those plot holes. but it happened to be the little plot holes that interested me the most so its obvious to me😅#cant wait until a talented writer in the fandom rewrites the whole story a lot better and fills in the holes and ties up the end better #please someone do this 😭#lee text #hsr #i just wanted a close found family who met a tragic end #my idea for a better way to write it is dan feng wanted free from the high elder cycle and yingxing helped him create a new elder #but it went wrong and failed because the preceptors fed him wrong info hopong it woukd destroy dan feng since they hated him #instead it was yingxing that died and dan feng selfishly brought him back somehow and thats why hes immortal and hates dan heng now #they created a monster in the process that made a mess and baiheng died trying to kill it maybe but hit its weak spot #so it was weaked enough for jingliu to slay it #maybe for a plot twist jing yuan somehow knew the preceptors were up to something and didnt stop the two because #they were too stubborn and he knew it would do nothing #we know the dragon heart disappeared so either it ended becoming bailu in the end #or it could be inaide blade bow. another fun possible plot twist. they never explained where it went so it coukd be a n y w h e r e #i had other ideas but i forget now. bht baiheng deserves better as well. just being a plot mechanism to make two dudes be stupid #is kinda bland and boring and wasted her character. she deserves better too!!!!#id write this if i had the time and brain power but ill hope someone else does it instead #OH yeah i forgot a big idea. dan feng and yingxing perhaps try to also kill the arbor and end the abundance and long life/reincarnation #and maybe that was one part that led to it all going wrong or something. since yingxing wanted revenge on the abundance for destroying #his home and family???? and dan feng wanted to escape the cycle? similar wants that worked together snd failed #these are all ideas from past theories i read and my own ideas i came up with all of which are better than what that bad writer did!#these are very incomplete ideas that im sure someone else can write better #lee rambles

#article headline is about kraft's wins for the non germans #anyway so yeah i guess they brought that up and it seems the goat debate has started again #i find it mostly really unnecessary and stupid also how it's discussed some people just can’t accept someone's achievements ...#because they don't like them #but yeah for me the goat is Gregor i mean obv he's my fave but like i think the number of victories is most important #like it shows how many times you were the best in a competition and that's the best metric in sports #like podiums are nice and i respect that kraft has more podiums but winning is what a sport is all about in the end #for me wins will always count way more #but olympic and championship medals is what many say #while they are great ofc especially in a sport like ski jumping with outside influences like wind luck is a big factor #and being there that specific day who is in form #in fact there are quite a few surprise winners who never won anything else afterwards in ski jumping like when Diethard won 4ht #so it really doesn't mean that much compared #you can't get lucky winning 53 competitions however :))#and that gregor only has 2 cristal balls is just incredibly unlucky with the number of wins he has #but anyway for me the goat is the one with the most wins and that is gregor #if kraft gets more one day i will acknowledge that but i still doubt it #altough it has become a possibility #i just really hope not i would hate it sorry 😅 ofc because gregor is my fave and i want him to be the best forever #but also bc i don't rly like kraft (partly for silly reasons some better than others anyways) so that suck even more 😅#but in my heart gregor will always be the goat forever my goat 🥹👑❤️#i do respect kraft's accomplishments tho it's quite impressive #(pls don't hate me haha i know saying not liking kraft is not well taken here lol)

Tbh? I still feel so out of my depth whenever I try to write Bill. For whatever reason it doesn't come naturally to me like writing Ford does. Every time one of y'all has thoughts on Bill's characterization or writes something Bill-centric I'm mentally taking so many notes

#godsrambles #im in that weird inbetween of knowing when his characterization Feels Right but not knowing how to write him so it feels right #its like that stage in art where your eye for good composition and colors and anatomy improves but you dont know how to actually apply it #what i should do is write some short scenes where he interacts with other people #because most of the fics I've written are 100% his internal thoughts when he is completely alone #which is way easier. takes away at least a few of the layers youd usually have to keep track of with this goddamn guy #the only one i can think of that had bill actually talking to someone else is parhelion. and i KNOW i slightly mischaracterized him in that #made him a lil too Smooth. made his manipulative front a lil too gentle and kind and patient #but since its from fords Very Reverent Rose Tinted Glasses perspective i dont think its that big a deal #and also the more i lean into him Seeming Perfect To Ford the more sinister it is to read with the knowledge of what happens later #which is. so much fun. and im so normal about it #but i still do want to get better at writing him interacting with others #ironically one issue that seems to come up is me being like 'whenever he talks to people they always respond exactly how he expects them to #like subconsicously. in the form of 'they get tricked successfully' or 'they are annoyed and bothered to the extent he was going for'#tfw you cant write a character bc you accidentally have the same innaccurate thought process as him #tags essay #TBH writing him as Too good at manipulation in parhelion is also billcore.#'this is how it happened right. im soooo good at trickery good job me'#if you count 'tricking yourself' then yeah bill youre the best at trickery there ever was

Btw shinada is by far one of my favorite yakuza character, i think he is one of the very few characters that got an actual decent closure

Yeah ...... it didnt un-ruin his life but like it was satisfying at least .... but his whole story arc was crazy (in a good way) like god ...

#Thanks for the ask !#Yakuza liveplay #this isnt about shinada because i want to talk about kiryu but he seems like a walking horror story to me. a man with his strings cut will #just keep falling ... like theres nobody to catch kiryu and he made sure of that himself #i think kiryu wont die. people will just keep throwing themselves in front of bullets meant for him until the group of people he can trust #and talk to slowly dwindle to nothing. he knows its because of him. i think kiryu will eventually stop trying to force his story in another #direction. he will keep walking until theres nobody behind him to follow. there is literally no end in sight for him no valiant death or #sacrifice he can close his book with. someone will keep bringing him back he will keep walking into pitfalls he cant afford the #gravitational pull of a big problem itll just keep drawinf him in until hes right in the heart of it and then he can pull it all apart and #he starts all over again with the next city the next family the next villain. kiryu will never rest and its in part his fault. just a little #he said it before. men like him dont get to choose what to do with their lives. they dont belong to themselves. like kiryu has stayed alive #in the scariest possible way. hes dead on record hes basically a ghost among the living. he cant live as himself his name doesnt belong to #him anymore (unless hes inputing his high score for karaoke) he drifts along until the next guy hooks him out #of the flow and puts him to work. and hes always happy to work because theres literally nothing else for him to do #i know people want him to retire but the lack of closure for him is so compelling to me ....#kiryu will die alone. he’ll see to that himself

#mmm.... just kinda ThinkingTM but I feel like a big big reason why I get so disheartened #by how HARD it is to get established as a commission artist #is that like... I actually really like it? It's super fulfilling to me like 90% of the time #there are so many artists who take commissions basically out of necessity and they hate having to draw for other people #but I!! get a huge ego boost from the process. I love taking someone else's vision and bringing it to life #or taking a rough idea and giving them something they never even envisioned but it's just what they wanted #and this isn't to say like 'why do THOSE artists get work when they don't even want it and not me even though I do >:/'#(except......... maybe it is just a little bit 😬)#but idk it's just kinda sad. when there's a three-way venn diagram of 'thing you genuinely enjoy' 'thing you'd willingly do for money'#and 'thing people will actually pay you to do'#and you can't seem to orient yourself in the middle.

I thought I had gotten over my deep self loathing over having almost zero sexual experience but it’s back I guess!!

"Suppalo doesn't do anything that a normal school wouldn't do " um yes?? Normal schools are horribly oppressive and control-oriented. They are designed to make kids think things that are not important carry this insane weight. Manufactured intensity is like their whole deal.

There are many many sources of oppression and control present in our lives, all of the time. If you can't question them enough that you think The Eclipse is a bad show because the mind control and strict rule aspect isn't dramatic enough... perhaps you need to watch The Eclipse. Idk.

#the Eclipse #dude some estimates say 32% of teens have medical-grade anxiety #schools are one of the places where you get locked in for hours every day #they create their own little universe in there and convince students that their lives are ending over late homework and skipping a day #it IS actually horrible damaging and effects people way longer than they think #the eclipse is suggesting that this is perhaps not as acceptable as you seem to think #perhaps this is an idea you might consider entertaining #I do not think we need more examples or more intensity in the examples of authoritarianism or abuse from Suppalo #personally I think keeping it light and less culty means that we have less of an opportunity to say 'this is about someone else'#it's about you and your kids and your past and your future #its abt how my manager at SUBWAY told a woma she couldn't say goodbye one final time to her best friend of 40 years bc we'd be shortstaffed #its about how I nearly killed myself overworking and stressed for WALMART #when there could never under any circumstances be anything important happening there ever #it's about church telling you not to think wrong thoughts or your coach destroying your self-esteem to make you Really Want It #as much as it's about government and north korean style totalitarianism and ideological divides and whatever #they chose this tiny stage to tell their big story On Purpose #and for me the effect is good #because I did some amount of the thinking on my own :)

#Bug #We shared the apple :)#Big ol' tangle of mealworms (and their parents) lol #I'm still raising them - a bit haphazardly - since the Household pet lizard will eat them #And I want to have a stock to welcome someone else home when I get there #I've also accidentally made two colonies - the ones featured here and then what's meant to be a mealworm-only enclosure #The mealworm-only batch are currently in quarantine as there was a mold infestation that culled their numbers :(#These lads seem pretty energetic and healthy tho so I'm happy for that #They cute lads I do like them #Hope they continue to grow well

I so desperately want to life a ghibli-esque life where I see the wonders and joy in the mundane parts of life but that’s also impossible besties

#whimsy whispers #I do believe a big part of it is feeling both isolated and stuck #I feel so alone and like I’m never going to be anywhere other than where I am rn both like physically as in location wise and like idk #mentally and emotionally as well #like it sounds so easy to just like try and treat things as if they’re wonderful and nice but it’s just not #I can barely go anywhere there’s not really anywhere to go either nor is there anyone to see and it’s just hard to find joy in life when #you feel unwanted and like a burden #the weather is warmer the flowers are blooming and soon fireflies will be back but that’s still just not enough to make life seem worth it #it’s bleak and it’s nothing #delete later #sorry it’s been a bit since I’ve been so depressed on main but like #it all got to me again #even the things I have planned don’t feel worth it or like it’ll actually happen #sure my roommates and I agreed to see the new barbie movie and yo try and go to a ren faire #but honestly most likely neither will happen as is often the case #and so I don’t want to get my hopes up and honestly even if they do happen I don’t know if I care #I don’t know that I’ll even be happy or have fun #nothing is fun nothing is nice I just feel like every minute I spend like as a person is wasted #I feel like someone else deserves the time I have alive
