Zelda constantly rambling is 100% a trait I adore with every ounce of my being but the reason behind it is actually so heartbreaking.
Zelda and her studies were condemned mercilessly by her father. She legitimately ran away from the castle and her father’s orders multiple times because of how stifled she felt inside the castle.
And though she had the support of Impa and Purah, she was forbidden by the King to continue with her research on the Guardians.
And then we have Link who actually listens to her. He’s with her constantly as her knight attendant and he actually listens. She will ramble about anything, because she is so smart and has a wide variety of knowledge that was always looked down upon because it wasn’t her ‘duty’. And he shows genuine interest.
And to fast forward to totk where we learn that they are practically inseparable to the point that people assume Zelda is safe because Link is or know something is immediately wrong bc Zelda isn’t by Link’s side…. *spoilers for totk ending below*
It’s just so precious to me because Zelda grew up with her hobbies and interests put down and now she has Link who she is not at all afraid to ramble on and on to about the zonai and some of her first thoughts upon waking up at the end are the many things she just has to tell Link about. Zelda finally has a home where she can just be her and that home is Link and the Hyrule they are rebuilding together.
Also just adding the fact that Zelda obviously rambled about Link to Sonia prior to memory eight and gave the impression that Zelda’s absolute devotion and faith in Link was 100% reciprocated bc of Sonia’s teasing comments ….
Zelda’s rambling is absolutely precious to me and I’m so happy she has Link who is forever supportive of her and her endeavors regardless of what they might be.

I've been watching Hazbin Hotel in prime. Just watched episode 5 and I gotta ask
Why, oh, WHY DON'T I SEE MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT "MORE THAN ANYTHING" WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE HAZBIN HOTEL MUSIC???
Like I get it, the song before it "Hell's Greatest Dad" Is a bop reminiscent of other music from the era its parodying. I loved it.
BUT why are you only putting clips of that song when this MASTERPIECE comes a few minutes after
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this song. The visuals are beautiful, especially when we get moments like this where you can just see the absolute LOVE this man has for her daughter is so sweet and Heartwarming I just-
The voices are fenomenal but what else can you expect from the broadway talents of Erika Henningsen and Jeremy Jordan.
There is also the whole Symbolism with passing the baton to the next generation and stuff. I- I can't even get into the specifics right now Im too emotional.
But above all else THE LYRICS
ESPECIALLY THAT LAST ONE
"I'M GRATEFUL YOU ARE MY DAUGHTER/FATHER MORE THAN ANYTHING"
DO YOU WANT ME TO CRY?? CAUSE I AM. I AM BAWLING MY EYES OUT RIGHT NOW.
It's just so fucking beautiful man. Probably the best song I will hear all year. Obviously my favorite from Hazbin.

that tidbit in @kchzndrvh‘s post about nana transferring a lot bc of her family and therefore being incredibly lonely is kinda making me a little insane. bc in that situation kids typically either wall themselves off and stop trying to make connections OR present themselves in a way that invites interest and fosters connection (even if their presentation is dishonest or the connections are shallow). and the way that nana clearly went hard on the latter option—making herself appealing by centering others and making herself available to counsel or comfort them, then feeling worthless when she perceives that her help isn't needed (as seen in overture my best friend overture)—makes me SO sad. just. the image of this desperately lonely kid who got it in her head that to be loved she has to be needed, and to be needed she has to be useful. who chose to be useful by being kind and nurturing and offering her love one baked good at a time. kinda tragic kinda heartwarming (as many things about daiba nana are)

I’ve seen a lot of talk about how Taylor stops believing in fate on this album, but I think there’s one dot I’ve yet to see anybody connect. in ttpd the stories she was telling herself didn’t end in happily ever after, and the mythology of meant-to-be only led to more heartbreak, so she stopped believing that her life was destined to be one thing or another and that every tragedy was a part of some design. but if we go back just one album, we find Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve, where she says to an old partner “you’re a crisis of my faith”, and confesses that if it weren’t for him “I would’ve stayed on my knees.” so what’s the difference? after that first deep wound, she could and did keep on believing in a blind, impersonal fate. but she couldn’t have faith anymore that there was an all-good all-powerful God who loves her. no more Providence, only the invisible string.

The fantasy fiction trope of the chosen one being raised to die at just the right time is just so biblically horrific and disgusting, it literally makes me foam at the mouth over it. The fact that there are numerous instances where they should die, but there is always something in the universe that saves them; leaving them thinking that maybe they are either incredibly skilled at survival or just lucky, only to find out that it was never them?? They were being saved just to die when they have to? As seen fit by some higher power????? Furthermore, it's extra spicy if that chosen one was a reluctant hero who only realizes it at the end, right before they have to die... and they make the choice to go through with it anyway???? When they ultimately have something to die for now (read found family who tries to stop them and/or turns from fighting the big bad to fighting the fucking universe to save them)????? Geewhiz what a fucking TROPE.
