Thoughts on JJBA Ships (1/?): GioMis

Hi guys! Since Tumblr facilitates more long-form posts, I decided to make a series covering my thoughts on my favourite JJBA ships. This will include how I like to characterise the ship, headcanons, etc. And since GioMis was the ship that made me watch JJBA in the first place, I see no better place to begin.

GioMis

1) Analysis

To me, this ship is about the love that blossoms between two people who are very different in many ways, but are drawn together by their strong similarities. It is an opposites attract ship, but ultimately, Giorno and Mista work so well together (platonically and romantically) because they share certain similar values.

This is basically covered in canon and is somewhat self-evident, so I won't go into it too much. Throughout Part 5, Giorno and Mista are generally both very supportive of each other, as they support each other through their weakest moments. The White Album fight is the prime example of this, as Mista is there for Giorno when he loses hope and vice versa. Mista's refusal to leave Giorno behind echoes how Giorno refused to leave Fugo behind earlier, and is very touching, reflecting how they both deeply value the lives of their comrades. Their resolves are the same, and in the White Album fight, both of them remind each other of their own resolve, echoing each other in a beautiful way.

While Giorno's ideals are more similar to Bucciarati's, and Bucciarati can be considered the 'main Jobro' of Part 5, Mista feels more like Giorno's closest friend than Bucciarati does. They are very frequently paired together and continuously protect and inspire each other, and they're even together in the ending. It's clear that Giorno and Mista were meant to be a pair (platonically at least).

2) Why I Like It

I'm generally just a huge sucker for opposites attract ships in the vein of "Reserved person x Upbeat person" so...honestly, it was inevitable, and that (plus Giorno being my favourite character) is definitely the main reason why I like this. Pretty much all of my otps follow this pattern. But I think the reason why this is my JoJo otp is that I just really like how they are paired together. They develop a strong mutual trust and respect, quickly come to rely on each other, and have each others' backs, despite being very different people. I love how they are always looking to each other despite only having known each other for a week. It just feels like a match made in heaven; two people who gravitated to each other so naturally and easily that being together just feels right. This is amplified by the ending.

3) My Characterisation / Headcanons

As a fic writer, how I characterise them kind of depends on the fic I'm writing (outside of GioMis, I have written both Dark! Manipulative! Giorno and Team as Family! Giorno). However, separate from that, I do have certain headcanons that inform the way I see the ship. So, below are my favourite ways of characterising this ship.

a. Giorno's feelings for Mista

I like to hc Giorno as falling for Mista fairly early on. He starts to crush on Mista either after the White Album arc or in his early days as Don.

The reason why I hc this is that, well...post-White Album, Giorno seems to really like touching Mista. The infamous gun pose aside, someone pointed out to me that Giorno tends to unnecessarily cradle Mista a lot. As they mentioned, the most egregious instance happened during the Diavolo fight. Trish almost died, but Giorno catches a falling Mista and just stares at him (thinking about Bucciarati)...he only checks on Trish when Mista mentions that he's glad she's safe. He doesn't even heal Mista when Mista asked, and he takes quite a while to lay Mista down, so that means he just wanted to hold him, lmfao. And perhaps he was reflecting on how Mista was thankfully still alive while Bucciarati had died...so, he was holding Mista in his arms, grateful that Mista is still breathing.

This is, of course, contrasted by how Giorno starts nervously sweating when Mista touches his shoulder when they betray the boss. I like to think that Giorno got a bit flustered by Mista's closeness, his stomach doing little flips etc, which was why he reacted that way. After all, it's a pretty random reaction otherwise (he also nervously sweats in response to Abbacchio sometimes, but Abbacchio is shouting in his face) and it seems a bit much for mere surprise. So, that's why I choose to put on shipping goggles and interpret it this way, haha!

(There's also the cover art of the last volume, where Giorno is reaching for Mista's hand...sadly, that detail was covered by the logo in the cover itself, but the art shows their hands touching).

Anyway, I hc that Giorno falls for Mista because...other than them sharing the same resolve, he's also uncomplicated, straightforward, funny, genuinely friendly and supportive. To be clear, Mista isn't unconditionally or always supportive of Giorno; he questions Giorno a couple of times during the plane arc, and not very nicely, either. He also disbelieves Giorno during the Diavolo fight. However, Mista is also Giorno's first ally besides Bucciarati, and he is the most open to Giorno's ideas among the team. When Giorno needs help with something, it's Mista he turns to (seen in the plane arc). So, it seems that among Team Bucciarati, Giorno feels most familiar with and supported by Mista (and Bucciarati, but he seems more familiar with Mista).

With the 'supportive' part of my list addressed, I'll turn to the other reasons. I think that for Giorno, who grew up having to learn how to read people in order to navigate perilous situations, someone as straightforward and uncomplicated as Mista must be pretty nice to be around. With Mista, he doesn't have to think too hard about intentions or guess at something he's hiding. Mista is just Mista. There's an honesty and frankness to him that, for Giorno, must make him easier to be around. It would also show a certain strength of character, because Mista is an eccentric person who is unashamed of his own eccentricity and has embraced it; Giorno probably tries to hide the 'weird' parts of himself, so he admires, respects and is attracted to Mista for this.

As for the 'friendly' part of the equation...well, I think that pre-canon, Giorno never really had friends. If he did, those relationships were probably mostly transactional. After all, the gangster bribed Giorno's bullies into getting along with him, which is hardly a model for healthy friendships. It's stated that Giorno felt like he was the scum of the earth, which changed after he met the gangster...but this most likely didn't extend to whether he felt people as a whole would actually like him for who he is. Giorno is implied to be rather awkward when he lacks a script friendship-wise (when Trish and Narancia are having a heart-to-heart during the Green Day arc, Giorno is just...standing there...frozen in place, and this could also explain his nervous reaction when Mista unexpectedly comes to him and touches his shoulder). I think that's because he's never really had genuine friends.

Enter Mista. Mista is a pretty friendly person; his excited and personable reaction to Giorno's jellyfish trick reflects this, and he gets along with Giorno pretty well afterwards. Mista seems really fascinated by Giorno's abilities and, as seen in Sleeping Slaves, likes to ruminate on really random thought experiments. I like to think that Giorno has a strong interest in biology, which is why he's able to use his stand so effectively. He clearly really likes animals, even those seen as weird or distasteful by others. However, I doubt he expressed this much to the people around him. I think Giorno doesn't feel anyone would be interested in that, or in him at a deeper level, as a person outside of his charming front and dream.

However, I think that post-canon, things would be different, because Mista seems like the type of person who would actually be interested in long rambling conversations about biology and animals. After all, he canonically began such a conversation. I think Mista would like and engage with the enthusiastic biology nerd side of Giorno when it inevitably slips out, which would surprise Giorno. He would begin to drop his guard and let a bit more of his inner self come out, and as Mista continued to encourage and support him, he would fall even harder for him. Mista would be Giorno's first actual friend. He would care about him in a way that Giorno hasn't known outside of the gangster, and Mista would eventually become someone warm, predictable, safe and comfortable for Giorno—someone he can trust in every sense of the word. However, I do think Giorno might be a bit overwhelmed by and freaked out by his feelings, and uncomfortable with how comfortable he is with Mista.

(Even besides that, it would take them some time to get there, though, as Mista would also take time to fully trust Giorno's judgment. He is very supportive of him in canon, but not always, even when Giorno's action is justified; I think these instances would be reduced as time goes on and they know each other better).

I think Giorno would also fall for Mista because Mista is just solid, dependable, and a sunny, quirky person. I don't have any deep reasons for this, but Giorno does remark once that Mista is an interesting person, and I think he'd find Mista refreshing and intriguing. Mista is his loyal, dependable right-hand-man, his warm and safe friend, and someone who likes and celebrates who he is, both as the powerful Don and as an awkward and emotionally repressed but kind and gentle person. Giorno would feel loved and appreciated by Mista, whom he also thinks is an incredible person whom he admires and respects for his resolve and willingness to be himself no matter what, and that's why I think he'd fall very, very hard for him.

Of course, though, he'd realise this and then despair because he'd think his feelings were unrequited. To me, Giorno doesn't seem like he'd confess unless he was certain that he'd be accepted. So, he'd probably pine silently for a couple of years.

b. Mista's feelings for Giorno

I like to hc Mista as falling for Giorno as the years go by. This is mostly because Giorno is 15 when they meet and it makes me a bit uncomfortable for Mista to be interested so early on, but nevertheless, I feel that Giorno seems to have a crush in canon (shipping glasses on, though, well, he did stick his hand in Mista's pants) whereas Mista's actions are friendly.

Even though he wasn't romantically interested at first, I think Mista has always really liked and appreciated Giorno. To me, Mista would initially like Giorno (platonically or otherwise) because he's determined, resolved, ambitious...he shines bright like the sun, and Mista is in awe at its light. Following Giorno, being with Giorno, feels right to him. To Mista, Giorno is just super cool. That's why he followed him, and that's why he has some level of interest in him.

However, I like to think that Mista only truly began to fall for Giorno when he got to know him as a person. As the years go by, he spends more time with Giorno and sees beyond the composed, intelligent leader (a side he also adores) to realise that Giorno is a kind, gentle, sometimes playful, awkward but well-meaning person. There's a softness to him hidden beneath the cool exterior, and it's this side and the new understanding he has because of it that makes Mista begin to have feelings for Giorno. He wants to see more of this hidden side, to bring it out, because it's extremely endearing. Giorno's confidence, dreams and resolve dazzle Mista; Giorno's kind, gentle, playful and sweet interior charms him and draws him in. He loves both sides of Giorno; he loves all of Giorno, and will tell him exactly why if Giorno ever expresses confusion as to why Mista likes him.

In addition, Giorno is very accepting of Mista. Many people find Mista weird or question his outlook on life, but Giorno just accepts it as Mista being Mista. Mista is Mista, and he doesn't want to change that. He is careful about and respects Mista's 4 phobia, he doesn't understand but comes to accept how Mista operates based on gut feelings and whims. Giorno probably finds this somewhat annoying and frustrating at times, but he also seems a bit fond of it and is refreshed by it, and he relies on Mista's confidence and draws strength from it as well. As Mista is probably used to his way of life and outlook being questioned, Giorno's accommodation of him would be welcome and touching.

Mista probably is also the type to laugh things off and not take things too seriously, but sometimes he probably should actually take things seriously, which is when Giorno comes in. Giorno, because he knows Mista very well, would try and encourage Mista to deal with whatever he has to deal with, which Mista would find very touching.

I think Mista would take a while to realise he loves Giorno. He probably dates a couple of women, but he just never clicks with them in the way he does with Giorno. Mista eventually begins to feel as though settling down with a woman feels like a betrayal of Giorno for some reason; he reasons that this is because he's so deep in mafia life that it's hard to have a relationship outside of it, but eventually he figures out that he's actually in love with Giorno. His bi awakening probably happens when someone (Fugo, probably) tells him that he talks about Giorno as if he has a thing for him, at which point Mista realises he likes men and that he wants Giorno, specifically. After this, never one to miss his shot, Mista probably asks Giorno out, which is how they get together.

c. Their relationship

So, I think they would have some early bumps in the road because they might have communication problems (this isn't anywhere I have gone in my writing, nor do I think I will anytime soon, but I have thought about this at length). Namely, Giorno probably has some attachment issues and is dealing with confusing feelings that he isn't telling Mista about, and Mista doesn't really say what Giorno needs to hear concerning the very little that Giorno does tell him about since their love and his feelings are so simple to him (whereas to Giorno it is complicated, overwhelming and anxiety-inducing), so they have some problems.

Given his childhood, I think Giorno is very possibly an insecurely attached person. How exactly this would manifest / what that attachment style would be, I don't know, because I haven't really written this into any of my fics and don't feel entirely comfortable speculating / analysing in specific...but I do think he might be pretty overwhelmed and feel like he needs to run away from Mista, despite wanting to be close with him, yet be initially unwilling to actually communicate his feelings. I could see him feeling this way about their friendship generally, even though Mista feels like home to him and he generally feels safe and warm around him; this would explode when they get together and he now has to deal with added closeness (emotional and physical) as well as boyfriend expectations. I also think he might be confused as to why Mista is interested, because he didn't see it coming and Mista suddenly coming out as bi blindsided him. A part of him might think it's too good to be true, and it's just a whim.

Eventually, I think Giorno would build up anxiety, fear and resentment and might begin actually avoiding Mista, leading to them arguing about it one day and hashing it all out. They'd work through it, though, and learn how to communicate better (and Giorno would probably eventually be inspired to read up about his issues and, in his typical determined way, try very very hard to find strategies to work with them). Ultimately, at the core of this relationship is the immense trust and respect they have for one another, and I think the bedrock is strong enough such that they can eventually figure things out, as both of them care about each other deeply and would be willing to try.

Another interesting aspect is whether Mista would come before or after Giorno's dream. I have written a fic about the latter, but I also planned a fic where the former happened and Giorno basically almost caused the downfall of Passione because he made a failed risky gamble to save Mista's life when an enemy threatened to kill him (Mista lived. Many members of Passione died). Currently, I think I'm leaning towards Giorno's dream always coming first. It would be a point of contention at first, but I think they would come to accept it, even though they aren't entirely comfortable with it. After all, Giorno's dedication to his dream is part of why Mista admires him, and Giorno became the Don knowing that Mista might have to die for his dream if it came to it. The day will come when this will be a non factor, and they are both waiting for that day.

Otherwise, I think Giorno and Mista would be a pretty harmonious couple. Giorno seems like he'd be a bit of an overthinker who's prone to stress, and Mista's easygoing nature and confidence in Giorno's abilities would soothe him. On the other hand, Giorno's drive and ambition would spur Mista forward, inspiring him and bringing him great joy. They would get annoyed and frustrated with each other on occasion, but I don't think they are the type of couple who would have nasty, terrible fights. Mista would snap at Giorno and Giorno would become cold, but it wouldn't escalate terribly.

Ultimately, they would both just love each other very, very much. Mista would probably cheerfully tell Giorno this very often, but Giorno might take longer, not because he doesn't but because the words would catch in his throat and it'd be hard to say, as words alone fail to express how deeply and intensely he feels for Mista. They'd probably be in a secret relationship because, well, mafia, but Fugo and Trish would know they're dating. I won't call it a 'happily ever after' for them, as relationships take more effort than the term suggests, but I think they'd be happy together.

4) Conclusion

I just really like this ship, okay?? ^^ All GioMis is good GioMis, of course—I like this ship platonically, romantically, functional, dysfunctional, heck I adore it unrequited (on Giorno's side)—but my favourite GioMis is post-canon timeskip GioMis. That just feels like the natural progression of their relationship, of this duo that grew closer and closer until life became unimaginable without one another.

I don't know how well this post will do lmao but I may do another one of these (it will probably be BruAbba as I have a lot of thoughts on that ship...I made some tweets that got surprisingly popular considering my tiny account). I may also make a list of allllll the GioMis moments in canon (albeit through my shipping goggles) if anyone is interested. I haven't done the update analysis the past month, so here it is!

I love the boys going into dungeons, and this update made me very happy!

now that I'm remembering it, they may or may not have gotten the map of this dungeon, if the second option is true its just Twilight guessing from the ruins

and isn't that so cool, this guy literaly is figuring out an ancient structure by just the ruins it left in the future. The photography memory this man has

i know this might not contribute anything but i want to check if i am not the only one that sees each one with a different emotion jksfjkds

left is sad, central is happy and right is angry, idk love when objects has faces

alright there's something happening between Legend and Wind, its clear

They haven't talked that much after their discussion in the Sunset arc, so there might be things that haven't been finished or that we didn't get to see between them

idk he seemed like that img "almost got into a fist fight with a 13 yo" or smth like that

Legend has learned a lot from his adventures, memorizing common dungeon puzzles and how to solve them, maybe he even got this puzzle wrong once, that would explain how he already knows about this problem and that can't be undone. I doubt the goddesses would throw their hero with a manual for dungeons

Also Wild has been very quiet during this update

Time still worries about Twilight, he just recovered from an injury that almost kill him, getting his strength back from that is impressive, but still he isn't sure if his descendant is completely healed

mf moving a whole block by himself if this isn't prove that he got his strength at least mostly back idk what it is

remember when i said that Wild had been very quiet? well

He doesn't know how dungeons exactly work, yes Warriors doesn't either, but Wild is more used to go with whatever solution he can find

The captain follows stragety, Wild follows luck, if there's something that can probably work he will take that opportunity

Although, he knows that maybe in here that will not work, but he still wants to feel useful and learn from this strange area for him

Wind telling him this might mean two things; 1. For the space of the corridor they would just be getting in the way and this is more for technical mobility, or 2. They don't really need their help right now, why bother to offer themselves if they will get told to move from the way?

something that i just noticed: is that a mirror? If so, i feel this dungeon will have some light puzzles, or maybe is just decoration, who knows

This place seems very related to owls, these birds being seen as a symbol of Wisdom, and i have seen a lot of people relating it with the Zeldas

with how things are going and Jojo's words, you all maybe aren't that far from the truth

again, mirror indicating that maybe this is a light puzzle, also that this structure is too similar to Hylia's statue in sksw, maybe is related?

not much to say here. love these two.

its very interesting (at least for me) that Four is the one that we see in this pannel, yes maybe he was the closest and thats why, but if we try to give it a more detailed explanation this might just reference him not trusting the magic that Twi uses to transform, he still thinks that its dangerous and would turn agains't them if they aren't careful

obviously this is where they split, going together will make dificult traverse the corridors with how things went the past update wiht the skulltula

also holy shit can we appreciate the backgrounds? i love the perspective its so cool

I’m using this poll as a chance to yap about my favorite underrated Jojo Tichakorn series :)

Everyone NEEDS to watch The Warp Effect

I’m being dead serious when I say it’s one of the best projects ever produced by GMMTV. It’s the purest form of Jojo’s style—heartfelt, poignant, and queer as all get out.

It’s a series about different individuals relationships to sexual orientation, attraction, and lack there of. It’s a series that loudly and proudly showcases the large variety of preferences and attitudes—and it takes extra care to showcase just how okay and normal everything is.

Characters are allowed to be freaky, or not at all—and both are equally respected by the text.

The series is not just about sex too! Don’t let the cover fool you!! It’s also a deep breakdown on gender and what it truly means—featuring tons of women and transgender characters!! It’s disappointing how rare positive and DIVERSE female representation is in GMMTV series and I think The Warp Effect should be praised for just how much agency it gives its female cast!!

A large part of the narrative is about a case of SA and coercion. That is something that I think those interested much know. It’s hard content to tackle. I do believe that this series treats its case very seriously and allows it’s characters to grieve and find peace and healing in their own way. The best part? The act of violence does not define the victim. She’s allowed to be her own character with goals and interests and passions that are outside of her status as a victim. It’s a core part of the narrative and her character but it’s not all she is, and I think that’s crucial to this series’ respect for people of all kinds.

So yes, The Warp Effect is a deeply horny sex comedy that is proud of that fact—and uses it’s angle or acceptance and love to tell a truly unique story about sexuality.

And it’s wonderful.

It’s sooooo funny and sweet and the messaging is soooooooo good.

You have to trust me. You have to hear me out. I need people to watch this series. All of the characters are so charming and the plot lines!?!? ARGHH SOO GOOD!!

Last rant!

WHAT YALL KNOW ABOUT DIRTY LAUNDRY!!?! the 0% pick rate on the poll is killing me. I would’ve chosen it if The Warp Effect didn’t exist.

I am a very hard person to make laugh, so when I say Dirty Laundry is HILARIOUS, I mean it.

All of the cast is absolutely giving it their all in terms of comedic chops.

Nanon Korapat I was unfamiliar with your game sir. Like I knew you were a phenomenal actor, but a comedian too!?!?

It’s so over the top in the best way.

Honestly all of the Midnight series ate so hard. It’s a shame Dirty Laundry was so overshadowed in that series but it’s alright, because I watched it. I know how good it is. And hopefully, if anyone reads this, will discover how good it is too.

Hi! So, I've recently gotten into Jojo within the past few weeks/months (what is time???) and I have gotten really into it to the point where I've probably annoyed some of my friends by gushing about it😅. I've heard that happens a lot apparently???

Anywhoooos, I love your JosuYasu content! Brings me absolute joy to see them being so warm with each other and I go weak seeing new updates with them (happens with the rest of your stuff too) but my main thing to start some convo is (because I have not seen everything) what are some JosuYasu Headcanons you have?

Yeah I also fell just. Headfirst DEEP into jojo, making an instagram was not for fun it was a necessity

but YELL HEAH JOSUYASU HCs:

They are each other's types but they only realize it after they meet. Okuyasu: likes pretty, soft and kind and bright people (he can develop a crush on anyone but this is like his type). Josuke: rough tough 'n buff boys babyyyyy

It says in Josukes profile that he's still growing, so he has the potential to be as tall as his daddy. Okuyasu however has stopped growing. Josuke ends up like half a head taller than Okuyasu and they both really like that actually

Josuke is trans and he told Okuyasu but Okuyasu didn't understand so he just went oh cool and it's only MUCH later through some funny shenanigans that he actually realizes it

Okuyasu also does not realize Josuke is gay until he's explicitly told and Josukes like "WHAT about me made you think I was straight???"

Only ones allowed to touch Josukes hair are his mom and Okuyasu, but only rarely.

Out of respect, Josuke doesn't badmouth Okuyasus family to his face, but he has some strong opinions. Okuyasu forgives Keicho and his dad, but Josuke does not.

One of their hangout traditions is going to the cemetery together.

They have an almost telepathic bond (possibly enhanced by Josuke having Hamon??) and dont need words to understand each other. Very convenient but frustrating for people around them.

Okuyasu cannot understand why Josuke won't let him take hits for him, since Josuke can just heal him anyway and can't heal himself. Josuke says something about being tough and being able to take his own damn hits but he really just doesn't like it when Okuyasu is injured.

They do argue as teenage boys do but never seriously. They get along shockingly well for two guys with anger issues.

Josuke started grabbing for Okuyasu when there was a sudden explosion in movies and stuff, eventually they just cuddle the whole time. Might as well right?

Okuyasu leans into the bad boy image and gets a leather jacket and a new motorcycle, tattoos and stuff, and Josuke is VERY appreciative.

Okuyasu convinced Josuke to try therapy. It didn't last, but it helped some. Joestar boys are stupid stubborn about that stuff.

Tomoko basically adopts Okuyasu and is not at all surprised when the boys admit they're dating

Josuke is super popular with girls ofc, but not so much with other guys. Okuyasu frequently gets into fights because he heard someone talk shit about Josuke.

Okuyasu gets a tattoo of a diamond or something over his heart and Josuke almost cries about it. And then gets a matching one with a hand

Josuke makes Okuyasu write a list of things he missed out on as a kid so they can do it together.

Serious shit: getting out of an abusive situation sometimes feels worse before it feels better. There's a rough period where Okuyasu is learning how to live without any kind of abuse, and it's hard on both of them. Okuyasu keeps half-expecting Josuke to hurt him in *some* way because its all he knows. Josuke feels helpless in being unable to convince his best boy friend that hes safe, and or feels bad to know you're not trusted. Josuke goes to Jotaro for help, but even Jotaro is out of his element about it. Joseph ends up getting Okuyasu a SWF issued therapist for free and it helps a lot.

Josuke does romantic stuff like make a mixtape, bring flowers, etc etc. It makes up for how he's not great at verbally expressing himself. Because it's so far, and because he doesn't like not being there for his mom and Okuyasu if they need him, he actually considers not going. Okuyasu hates the idea of holding him back (what Keicho instilled in him) and gets pissed off about it, they have a big fight, its dramatic. They make up or course, and Josuke does go to college. It's really hard and stressful but he calls Okuyasu all the time and it helps. Okuyasu learns to live by himself and branches out a bit, sets up a life for himself outside of Josuke. They both needed to learn to live apart, hard as it was, to be ready to be together.

Okuyasu fully becomes a member of the Higashikata and Joestar family. When/if they marry, he leaves the Nijimura name behind, effectively ending that bloodline. He's very happy in his new, HUGE family.

Josuke takes Okuyasu shopping bc otherwise Josuke ends up spending way too much money.

Since you’ve healed up, you’ve been tired. The cabin was safe so Bruno let you rest there. He didn’t want to keep anything from you so as he found out things about the attacker, he came to let you know.

Apparently, the mysterious man informed others of our location. That’s not fun at all. That means more people you know nothing about will be trying to kill you out of the association of your fiancé.

The final time he came down, he stayed with you. He said that Mista and Giorno would be going ahead so that they can take out the person that the attacker was supposed to be meeting up with.

“Oh, I see.” You replied, before sitting up. “Not too fast, Tesoro.” Bruno placed his hands on your shoulders.

“It’s fine, Bruno, I feel better now.” You smiled at him and his heart almost leap out of his chest. Your smile was so beautiful.

“cara mia, have I ever told you how beautiful you are? I can’t imagine a moment more without you.” His face was blank and his whole he was speaking to you. He was always so astonished by you.

“Every time you’ve come to see me, you have.” You giggled. “How much longer will it be before we reach the land. I think I’m getting seasick.” You joked.

“Not much longer. I hope you’re not getting bored.” He smirked at you and you assumed he was back in reality.

“You’re such a daydreamer.”

“What do you mean?”

You sat correctly and adjusted your clothing before saying:

“Growing up, you would always say such nice things to me but you’re always so dazed. I used to think it was weird but now I just know I have an effect on you.” You smiled attractively as you made eye contact with him.

This caused him to blush hard. His olive skin made it so obvious when he was flushed by something. It was cute but now it’s just funny seeing someone as manly as he looks so compromised.

“I haven’t noticed.” He replied.

You giggled again. “Of course you don’t.”

Bruno cleared his throat as a certain tension was rising. “We have some time before we sail in so I wanted to ask you something.”

“What is it, Bruno?”

“I wanted to know if could continue where we left off before we were interrupted…” He was sweating mildly and you couldn’t tell why.

‘What were you guys doing before the attack?’ You thought. ‘Oh wait…’

Your face turned red to match his. The two of you were having some physical contact before Narancia was taken.

“U-Um, we can if you want t-to.” Your eyes drifted to the left, away from Bruno when you answered him. “I didn’t know you were still thinking of that.”

Suddenly, he crashed his lips into yours. His bigger body was now hovering over you while you use your elbows for support.

Bucciarati was a starved man and the only thing he craved in the world that could satisfy him was you. Inside of him was a burning sensation that wanted more than just kissing.

Well, now he just felt dumb. Maybe he does worry too much.

To your dismay, when everyone got back together again, you saw that Mista was extremely hurt. Multiple gunshot wounds…

You all had gathered at a tourist bathroom where Fugo began tending to Mista’s wounds while at the same time lecturing him about how a doctor should take a look at it and be more careful.

“Are you sure he’ll be fine, Bruno?” You asked, impatiently waiting outside the bathroom. “I’m sure, cara. I told you not to stress.”

“I know but he’s still young. Does this happen regularly?”

Before Bruno could answer, Mista began screaming in pain! It was comical based on timing but it still worried you.

“It’s not sanitary enough to do medical care in there.” You almost winced, putting yourself in Mista’s shoes.

“Well, if it’s enough to put your worries to rest, why don’t we go check on them?” Bruno offered his hand and you took it before he left you inside. Abbacchio and Giorno followed.

“May I chime in?”

Fugo, Mista, and Narancia all stopped what they were doing and turned their attention to Bucciarati. He went to the back of the room and stood there with you.

“Ragazzi, you’ve all made me proud. It’s thanks to all of your efforts that we made it to Capri alive.” He said. “But I would like to thank you too, cara. You were amazing for me.” He then lifted your hand and kissed it softly.

You blushed at his actions. He’s always such a gentleman and everything he did would still make you blush.

“Huh? What did she do?” Narancia asked, curiously.

“Are you implying Mrs. Bucciarati helped take care of the stand users?” Fugo chimed in.

Mista waved his gun around. “Whoa, whoa, you never know. I saw a movie this one time and girls can totally kick ass.”

“Well that’s a movie, Mista, it was staged.”

This made Narancia laugh. “Even I know that, Mista!”

Everyone began chatting amongst themselves again before Bucciarati gathered everyone’s attention one more.

“As I was saying…our ‘would-be’ attacker’s have been neutralized and are awaiting us on the ship for now. The obstacle has been cleared.” Bruno squeezed your hand slightly

Narancia cheered and suggested we all go claim the money that's been hidden so that Bruno can formally claim the rank of Capo.

Bruno then suddenly remembered something. Something that he even forgot to tell you. He let go of your hand and pulled up his sleeve to check his watch.

“Hm…I need you to wait a little longer.”

Everyone audibly gasped at his sentence.

“Where is this all coming from?” Fugo asked. You were curious as well. You were all here and alive so why not just go? “Why do we need to wait around?”

Before anyone could speak, Narancia told everyone to be quiet and quickly went outside.

Could it be more enemies??

“What are you doing pal?? Knock it off!” You all heard Narancia yell. “Bruno, we should check on him.” You whispered.

Everyone else seemed to think it was a user as well.

“Wait!” Bruno intervened. A sense of calm washed over everyone. He always knew what to do. “Back off Narancia. Things aren’t what they seem.”

Bruno explained to everyone that the girl restraining Narancia wasn’t an attacker and that the older man with him was from Passione.

His was called ‘Mr. Pericolo.’

Everyone bowed to him, even Bruno. He ushered you to do so as well and you listened. You didn’t know who this was but he certainly outranks Bruno.

Bruno explained that Pericolo met you all here so that he could receive the money for him to become Capo.

“We are humbled by your visit, thank you for coming.” He greets him with gratitude.

“No, I was the one who requested your team travel here in the first place, and I see that your partner arrived just in time.” He commented, talking about you but you couldn’t exactly tell with his lazy eyes.

“Oh, you mean (y/n). Of course. I couldn’t spend another moment without her. Although it is dangerous, I have been doing my best to protect her.” Bruno said.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Pericolo.” You greeted him timidly. Bruno found your mannerisms to be very cute.

You were resilient and almost confident in the face of danger but when around him you were small, timid, and almost submissive. Your personality was gratifying.

“Please, everyone at ease.” Pericolo ushered everyone to stop bowing.

Now it was time to get the money. Turns out that Bruno had it hiding in a toilet!

“That’s actually a smart move, Bruno! You sure do know how to make use of your stand.” You smiled at him while everyone was cheering about the money. Pericolo was checking it over to make sure it was real and all there.

Bruno never really received a lot of compliments from you until recently. He didn’t know how to react but it was a welcome surprise. “Thank you, amore Mio.”

He wanted to surprise you with a kiss while everyone was busy with their own thing but he was interrupted by Pericolo calling his name.

He said that he doesn’t know what his methods were to obtain the money he got but it doesn’t matter and that he’s a Capo now!

Then Pericolo gave Bruno a task. He has to finish a Polpo’s work. His new job was to protect the bosses daughter, Trish

Pericolo explained Trish’s past. It seemed really sad. Your father was a corrupt company boss that ran America just as Trish’s father did with the Passione and Italy.

Perhaps the two of you could bond over that. The only part is that she never met her dad and now she’s being hunted. That’s scary. Not to mention her mother died.

It seems that the men lost their composure when Trish started demanding all these things but as a pampered girl yourself, you understood.

“Oh come on, guys. She’s not even asking for much.” You said.

No one replied but Bruno wasn’t a man that would make you feel bad so he said “The only woman I would run errands for is for you.”

He’s so romantic sometimes!

“Of course you would.”

Once you all got to the resting place, Narancia was tasked with getting the things Trish asked for. You had talked to Bruno about you going instead because you think it was wrong to send the youngest out when you know people are pursuing all of you. Of course, Bruno always has you at the front of his mind.

He would never let you go out on your own, especially in this situation. Now that you’re the public wife of a capo, you would be pursued just as much as Trish.

This place was a house with multiple rooms. The boys stood around and sorta kept watch while you were resting in a room by yourself. Your side still hurt a lot even though Giorno had helped you. It was an odd feeling.

Being in Italy was so weird to you. You’ve never left your home like this. It was so abrupt as well. It wasn’t long before Bruno graced you with his presence.

“How are you holding up, bella?”

You had been slumped onto the bed when he came in. He asked others not to disturb him so there was no worry of prying eyes.

“I’m okay.” That was the only thing you said. The atmosphere was a lot more inviting since he was more confident in how you felt about him.

“That’s good. Also, I’m sorry if I upset you earlier.” He walked over to a nearby chair and sat down. He was some distance away from you.

“Why would I be upset?” You mumbled into the pillows.

“I know you wanted to go out earlier in place of Narancia. I truly think you’re better suited for the job but I let my emotions get the better of me.” He explained. He had a small smile on his face. He didn’t expect you to forgive him, he felt as if he embarrassed you but he meant no harm.

“You know I’m sheltered, Bruno. I only wanted to go to the store.”

He wanted to argue but he held his tongue. He didn’t want to be controlling or restrictive. Bruno wanted your time with him to be an escape.

“I understand, amore. Forgive me.” He muttered before letting his head hang. You didn’t reply. You still haven’t spent enough time with him.

“Bruno.” His ears perked up when you called his name. “Is the Mafia in Italy always like this?” You asked innocently.

“Well, of course. Is it not the same in America?” He asked but he already knew. A lot of Italy depends on the Mafia, even some law enforcement so the actions of some mafioso were cutthroat.

“Mmm. I suppose.” You hummed.

“I hope this life doesn’t scare you, amore. If you really want to, I can arrange for you to go back home. I'm capo now so I could visit you more-”

“No. It doesn’t scare me. I just…had other things in mind.” You explained before sitting up.

“Other things like?”

“I had wanted to explore more of where I came from. I lived in New York but not in the city. I never got to see people or make friends. Just trees and the staff. I didn’t even live with my parents. We talked on the phone once a week. Then you would come to see me every few months and then you stopped seeing me and I couldn’t understand why.” You had said this in one single breath.

Bruno could hear your words lacing with venom. There was a small part of you that didn’t want to love him. He was avoiding it before but there was a time where he stopped visiting.

There was a reason. An important reason. He had been preparing himself under Polpo and it had become so overbearing that he wasn’t able to make trips anymore.

“I was working to become a Capo. I knew that if I put all my time into that, you would be with me sooner-” He tried to explain before you interrupted him again.

“That’s bullshit.” You had been avoiding eye contact this whole time until he said some stupid shit like that! “You know it is. Polpo killed himself and that’s the only reason why you’re capo now. If he didn’t then how long would I have been waiting?”

That is true…

You then calmed down. The silence was enough to let you know he was sorry for his selfishness. You breathed before adding:

“My life has always been so boring. I’ve only done what others wanted me to do. Not what I want to do. When you came around it was just enough to keep me from going insane. Your job is dangerous but at least you can go outside.”

“I understand. I’m sorry for taking that away from you. I regret it every day that passes by. In the end, it was all in vain.” Bruno wanted to get up and embrace you and kiss you as much as he could but was that really the right thing to do?

Did you even want to talk to him right now?

“Once this is all over, your life is yours and you can do whatever you’d like.” He then stood up from the chair he was sitting in. “If you’d like, I could give you some space.”

He was almost out the door when you stopped him. You stopped him, not by calling him but with your stand.

He was able to still hear and see and he immediately figured out what was going on.

“How could you say something like that? I’ve already come this far. I’m already an adult now. Why don’t you just tell me you want me? How can you be okay with letting me go? I don’t care if it’s selfish.” You said out loud. You pulled yourself out of the bed and went up to him.

His hand was still reaching for the doorknob. His body was non-moving and his eyes non-blinking.

“Bruno…” You hugged him from behind and even though for him, time wasn’t moving, he could feel your affection. You didn’t want him to leave. It felt like you wanted to be with him forever.

He wanted to turn around and hug you back but he couldn’t. He was also unable to tell if he should like this or not.

Any normal person wouldn’t like their lover holding them hostage like this but Bruno Bucciarati wasn’t…normal.

After a moment, you realized what you had done. You let him go from his stasis. At first, he had no words but then with a moment to think, this was just a sign that your love for him was blooming.

“You’re very adorable, but next time, just tell me you want me here. I always want to be with you. There’s no need to be shy.” He rested his hands on your head. He was so much taller than you.

You blushed at his words. “R-Right.”

Bruno smiled softly before checking his watch. “Hm. I see Narancia’s taking a long time. I’m going to see if anyone’s heard from him. I’ll be back shortly.”

“Okay, Bruno.”

Bruno then left the room and you were by yourself again.

It wasn’t long before the door had opened again. You expected Bruno but it wasn’t.

It was Abbacchio.

“Is something wrong?” You broke the silence first. The man only narrowed his eyes at you.

Did Bruno send him in?

“No, nothing’s wrong. I just really wanted to get a look at the person that Bucciarati’s been hiding for so long. To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re the one that causes him to do something stupid and get him killed.” He crossed his arms in an annoyed manner while his eyes burned holes in your skull.

“I’m sorry that Bruno never told you about me. He was ordered not to. I’m sure he would’ve told you if he could. I already feel out of place and a bit shy so I’m sorry I haven’t really spoken to you.” You tried your best to appear unphased by his presence.

“But if it means anything I really like your style. It’s not too common you see someone with a moody outfit like that!” You giggled at your own words but this only made the man more annoyed.

“Cut the shit. In Passione, when you’re on a team, you’re supposed to let everyone in on your stand power. You’re not even a member of Passione. You’re American. I can’t trust that you have good faith.” His words made your giggling stop. He seemed really serious.

“Keep your secrets but I’m going to be watching you.”

Abbacchio then quickly left. It was safe to assume that Bruno did not send him and it made you kinda sad that he was so on edge about you. He really did believe that you would be Bruno’s downfall.

“Narancia’s back!” You were taken out of your thoughts by Fugo’s muffled voice coming from downstairs.

‘That was fast.’ You thought as you quickly made the sheets of the bed you were laying on and went downstairs.

Once you had gotten down there, Fugo had been berating Narancia about what he had done. Apparently, he had run into an enemy Passione member and ended up defeating them.

The young boy had many wounds and Fugo still wasn’t giving him a break.

“Oh, Fugo. Please don’t be so harsh on him.” You frowned. You then walked over and patted the young boy on the head. “Are you okay, Narancia?” You asked. The boy smiled and nodded at you.

“Mrs. Bucciarati is right. In fact, we should be commending him. He took out one of our enemies, after all.” Giorno said.

Giorno had present some good ideas, even saying that you all should stay put until the boss sends another message. The others didn’t like Giorno telling them what to do since he was basically a rookie but you were willing to hear him out if Bruno didn’t have any better ideas.

“Bucciarati! I think we just got a message from the boss.” Mista yelled from the van that was parked a distance not too far from you all.

Bruno went to go check the message. There was a key located in Pompei that had to be retrieved.

Bruno had decided that Fugo, Abbacchio, and Giorno would travel there to get the key while the rest of you stay behind and protect Trish.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Post Pt 5)

Mista doesn’t want to cause Giorno any undue stress, but he can’t help but wonder why it’s him that keeps getting attacked. Jotaro tries to show that he understands the things Giorno has been through, but he ends up irritating him instead.

Mista covered the wound on his neck quickly, hoping to block the smell from Giorno. It wasn't because he was afraid, though he was, but because he would rather spare his friend--his boss--from losing himself again. This was all confusing. Unbelievable, almost. Vampires existed? Giorno was one? He wanted to disbelieve it, but here Giorno was, thirsting for his blood.

Wait, why was it him he kept attacking? Maybe it was a proximity thing. Mista hadn't really left Giorno's side since the first attack, and so he was always right there...but hadn't Giorno been alone with others? He thought of asking about it, before looking over at Giorno. There was a distant look about him, the one he got when he was thinking.

Mista had just about started talking when Giorno reached out to him, "Here, Guido, let me heal you." His voice was quiet and comforting, "I'm sorry for all of this." Before he got a response, Giorno moved Mista's hand aside and healed the wound. Mista could tell that what Jotaro had said was still bouncing around inside his head.

"I think the tall guy is right." Mista grabbed Giorno's arm before he was able to pull his hand away, "You didn't hurt me or anyone else because you wanted to. It was all just...er, I guess 'destiny' could be the word."

"I don't believe in 'destiny.'" Giorno looked away, "I don't really believe in 'curses' either. That was just...the first word that popped into my head."

"Destiny isn't real for most people," Jotaro's flat voice had burst forward again, "but it's the 'curse' of the Joestar bloodline. Even though most of us didn't go around asking for trouble, we end up drawn into problems that branch off of what the previous members of our bloodline have done."

"I never asked for this." Giorno turned to him, a fierce look burning in his eyes.

"Neither did I." Jotaro stood up, turning to the door, "You'll hear from the Foundation soon. Try to keep yourself fed until then."

Giorno had half a mind to yell at Jotaro. How could he just walk out like that? The fierce look was still lingering on his face.

"Don't." Polnareff sounded more serious than he usually did, "He doesn't need to explain himself to you. Just trust that he understands what you're thinking."

How could he understand? How in the world could he understand what it meant to have achieved something, something that finally should have made him free, only to be saddled with some 'curse' brought on by a bloodline he didn't even know about until recently?

"Giorno, calm down." Mista was frightened. Giorno was on the edge of losing himself again, shaking the way he only did when he was extremely upset.

"I can't calm down!" Giorno yelled, making Jotaro's head snap back in his direction, "Not when some guy just showed up, claiming that he knows everything about me! I'm not going to calm down until this asshole stops acting like he understands how I feel!"

jonaeriwagon is soooooo so so cute it involves the most wholesome and purehearted jojo characters and it makes me smile so wide. erina and jonathan r childhood sweethearts and erina helped jonathan back on his feet after he lost EVERYTHING in the first fight against dio at the mansion. jonathan and speedwagon are best FRIENDS OKAY!! SPEEDWAGON LITERALLY CHANGES HIS ENTIRE WALK OF LIFE BECAUSE OF JONATHAN AND THE KINDNESS HE SHOWED HIM. i know erina and speedwagon didn't interact a whole lot in part 1 but like they're BEST. FRIENDS. in part 2, so much so joseph thought something was going on between them. i bring this up bc then it’s proof that this ship is full of ppl who just care for each other so much. they just adore each other and love each other and I'm crying

gyjo for OBVIOUS reasons like are you serious? gyro changed johnny’s fucking lfie from the SECOND they first interact johnny begins to push himself and tries to reach further/go further. and in turn johnny shows gyro you cant always be a wet blanket you need to take a stand this both helps his resolve to save the kid AND helps him to take the measures necessary to get to his goal. like gyro would not have been able to find johnny in the “who shot johnny joestar?” arc if he hadn't gone through, say, the ring roadagain arc with johnny first. listen man their relationship is literally the catalyst for this whole part it’s the driving force i just. they love each other they love each other thank you goodnight I'm emo

yasugap is just so so so so sweet it makes me so happy,,like okay josuk8 literally has a daydream where all that happens is he gives yasuho some candy and she eats it and is like “aw josuke this is so good thanks!” and she smiles at him and that’s IT THAT’S THE DAYDREAM 😭 listen they just love each other so much and i am emo. they literally SAVED EACH OTHER OKAY LIKE yasuho pulls him from the dirt and like she mentioned during the flashback chapter with the hairpin and her dad, it was also the other way around....saving josuke also saved herself and just LISTEN TO ME. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER. it’s a very sweet and healthy relationship and i hope to god araki makes it canon please sir ill bite you

anyway yeah these are the main main ones ? that i ship ship. like you'll get me excited if u mention them. anyway this post has gone on long enough so I'm gonna end it here by saying i really do have a thing where the relationship focuses on healing/helping one or both parties to save/improve themselves

And that means making spooky aus for no reason other than fun<3

In summary- jjba part 1-6 but there’s no stands/Hamon and they all exist at the same time AND everyone is a spooky monster!!! I included as many characters as I could but it’s quite easy to run out of creatures, so bear with me on a few of them. Also the joestar bloodline is just gonna all be George Joestars kids because I said so!

Also, this is all really dumb but it’s just for fun so it’s ok💕

Jonathan: Frankenstein

Not exactly like the traditional Frankenstein’s monster but whatever!!

Used to be a regular kid until he died in his 20s along with Erina :(

Most body parts are his but he lost some in his death... so like, one of his legs is just some random guys.

Baby gates

Some cute fluff to start the new year off right ( Domestic Greens featuring Robin/Mike)

The Believes were very close with the Jojos (all three sets of them). Playdates between their children most often turned into the children playing in one room while whichever parents were present talked in another room.

Which, was how Robin and Mike Believe found themselves sitting in Buttercup and Butch Jojo’s kitchen sharing drinks as their boys played video games in the adjacent living room.

The conversation between them was pleasant and flowed easily. Occasionally a scream or enthused battle cry floated in from where the boys had situated themselves in front of the television - Buttercup always said that’s how they knew things were going well. With any child, especially Bruce Jojo, rambunctious noise was always welcome but silence never boded well.

Eventually, Buttercup’s attention was caught by a little figure making her way towards the oven, probably enticed by the sweet smell they were giving off.

“Butch!” she directed her husband’s attention towards their toddler.

He swooped in managing to pick her up right before her hand closed around the handle. Not for the first time, Buttercup found herself sighing in relief while wishing that their oven was a bit higher up like the one in her childhood home.

Robin also let out a breath she hadn’t been holding. It took her a moment to realize what had happened - her eyesight and general reflexes not being as fast as those of her superpowered friends. However, as soon as she saw Butch holding little Butterfly while standing near the stove well, it didn’t take the intellect of Blossom or Brick to put two and two together.

“What do you think you’re doing, baby girl?” Butch asked his daughter while playfully bouncing her on his hip.

Buttercup recognized it as a gimmick he used to easily direct their daughter’s attention away from something and on to him. She had to admit it came in handy too often with their curious girl.

Butterfly giggled, reaching out to pull on her dad’s hair.

“Dada” she giggled.

Butch blew a raspberry on her cheek as he carried her out of the kitchen, Butterfly’s cute baby squeals continuing to pervade the air as they went.

“That was close.” Mike interrupted the silence.

“Have you guys tried putting up some baby gates? They helped me and Mikey a lot with Noah when he started to get more mobile. And I know you said that Butterfly is a lot more adventurous than her brother was.”

Buttercup took a moment to consider how to respond to her friend’s suggestion. It was good advice, just not necessarily for a baby with superpowers.

“Well we used to have a few around the house - by the top of the stairs, the kitchen, ya know typical places babies shouldn’t be. Then Bruce broke two of them with his super strength. So the professor made us some super proof gates out of some special alloy or whatever that Bruce shouldn’t have been able to break.” Buttercup explained although her attention was mainly on trying to separate the sounds of Butch and her daughter than from those of Noah and Bruce.

“Shouldn’t have? Did he break them again?” Robin’s brow arched in confusion as she asked her question.

“No. He really couldn’t. And trust me, the boy tried. Unfortunately, he discovered he could just fly over them.” Butch said, returning from depositing Butterfly back on her play mat with some of her toys.

“Oh.” Mike’s tone reflected that of a normie who’d just realized that superpowers negated most of the effects of baby proofing.

Well, Buttercup had to admit that even as supers, she and her Chemical X powered family members had also been there at one point or another.

“Yeah. Little Bruce saw Butch float over one and decided that he wanted to be just like Daddy. So we kinda just gave up on them.” Buttercup’s tone was dripping with sarcasm and Butch didn’t miss the hard look that was sent his way.

“So,” she continued, still glaring at the man next to her, “we gave them to Bloss and Brick who have had a considerable more amount of success than we had with them. Maybe because Brick has a brain.” the last part was said quiet enough that only Butch would have been able to hear.

“Hey, I’ve apologized a hundred times! How was I supposed to know he would try to copy me?”

“I don’t know, maybe because he follows you around like a shadow?” Buttercup emphasized, “Especially at that point in time.”

All Butch could do was raise his hands in surrender and he pitifully offered,

“...I’m sorry?”

The apology was only met with silence.

“One hundred and one and still no success,” Butch mumbled under his breath.

“Try ice cream and chocolates, that’s what I do with Rob.” Mike leaned over closer to Buth as if he were sharing the secret to world peace.

“I did, that’s what lead to apology twenty five through thirty.”

“Oof, that bad huh?” He patted his green-eyed friend’s shoulder in support.

“Keep going Mike and you’ll have something to apologize for soon,” Robin interjected, arms coming up to fold across her chest. She was not amused.

“How about we stop by that’s Ice cream parlor you like downtown on our way home?”

“Hmm,” her tone said she wasn’t impressed but her body language conveyed the opposite.

Mike was in the clear...for now.

“Anyway, I still fail to see why we needed baby gates in the first place. Our kids are literally bulletproof! A tumble down the stairs isn’t gonna hurt ‘em! Hell, Boomer fell down a flight of stairs at least once a week when we were kids.” Butch steered the conversation back to him trying to defend himself.

“You want our kids to be like Boomer?” Buttercup deadpanned, turning in her chair to face her husband dead on.

Butch’s face screwed up in thought as he thought it over. After a few moments, he visibly deflated before admitting that Buttercup had a point.

“Touché” he ground out.

“I’m genuinely surprised you know what that means.” Mike teased.

Buttercup and Robin chimed in with their agreement. Butch simply shrugged, seemingly over his earlier point being deflected. He carried on, ignoring his friend’s usual teasing.

“Hang around Brick long enough and you pick some things up.” was his simple response.

“Sure. Although, I suppose you do make a good point - I did get into a fair amount of...scuffles at a young age.”

The aptly names toughest fighter, sat back as she thought over several of her more brutal battles when she was merely the age of five. Bruises, cuts, and burns didn’t mean that much when the ‘X in her veins had them healed within minutes. Although, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t try to keep her kids away from the pain that was still associated with those types of things.

“ And you certainly turned out well,” Butch reached out until he could touch Buttercup.

Wrapping his hand around her wrist he pulled until she, a little reluctantly moved. Now that she was sitting in his lap as he wanted, he continued,

“The most beautiful ray of sunshine in the whole world and I’m lucky enough to call her mine.”

“Aww.” Robin’s reaction to the green’s antics was much sweeter than her husband’s barely constrained,

“Yuck.”

“Was that apology one o two?” Buttercup asked, trying and failing to contain her smile.

“Did it work?” Butch’s face was hopeful as he awaited his verdict.

“Hmm...I suppose you’re forgiven. Now, get your slimy, snail self off me ya big lug, we still have company,” Buttercup tried to get up but was held down in Butch’s grip for a bit longer.

“I haven’t gotten my ‘you’ve been forgiven but don’t do it again’ kiss yet.”

Butch stuck his face up, comically nuzzling her cheek with his nose and making juvenile kissy noises. Buttercup laughed but still indulged her husband. Their lips met in a cute, chaste kiss that Butch would be the first to admit he’d wished lasted just a bit longer. But, he supposed that wasn’t something he wanted to start considering he was in no position to finish it - kids and company and all that.

“How many times has this kind of stuff happened that you have a name for it?” Mike inquired, a little confused.

“...too many” Buttercup supplied flatly, no longer trying to wiggle out of her husband’s arms and instead, settling in with her back to his chest.

Their friends didn’t seem to mind as they laughed. Eventually, Buttercup joined in. To anyone on the outside, Butch would have seemed annoyed as he mumbled incoherently as the three continued to laugh at his expense but those that truly knew him would have noticed the small smile as it inched up his face. A clear indication that he was enjoying himself, here amongst his friends even if he was the but of the joke. And for ruining a baby gate of all things!

Meh, he thought, they were annoying anyway. This is much more fun.

OTP: Jojo and Hye-Yeong

Some of my favorite things:

The graphics were still amazing this season, and I loved the addition of the spear

So much fluff, while we’re hanging onto some of the angst from last season Hye Yeong is just bringing his A game and making everything soft and fluffy

I liked that a lot of things got explained, like the addition of Guk-DU’s brother, and that he was actually one of the developers

I loved that Sun Oh kissing her out of the blue is what made her realize she was in love with Hye Yeong. Just gorgeous. Boy needs to learn some boundaries!

I wish that there’d been more character development for Gul mi and her mom, but I did like that there was some. I really want to follow that plot line!

When Hye Yeong finds out about the shield and the spear and repeats his speech from season one, I may or may not have teared up a bit. (Though I think he’s dumb for not trusting Jojo, he really didn’t have all the info)

I loved the bit where we see all the times Jojo love alarm was rung behind the shield but found it hard to believe she never rang Sun Oh’s, considering how angsty she got around him.

Things I hated

They seemed to add a lot of stuff that didn’t get explored enough to make it seem like it deserved screen time. Like what was that weirdness with Hye Yeong’s dad, what did it do, how did it further the plot? I kept waiting to for it to be relevant and I’m crossing my fingers it’s needed so we can move further into a season 3

The whole plot line with the Whistle blower/ murderer/ stalker didn’t seem to really make sense or resolve for me. It either needed more time to explore it further or it needed to be cut. I didn’t love it.

In season one we spend a lot of the second half of the season exploring the implications of the app, of what love means what love means when it’s weaponized what love means when you never find any... and there wasn’t nearly enough of that this season. We got Guk Do pointing out that Love Alarm 2.0 restricts who you might love, but there wasn’t enough. I really really want a season three to explore it more!!

There wasn’t enough time to really build relationships with either boy. I love Hye Yeong, and I love that they ended up together, but it was so rushed!

We spent soo much time with Sun Oh and his family, time I found really boring. There was a tiiiny bit of growth but I was never invested in those relationships in the first place.

I love love love the message that love is a choice. And it made sense between Hye Yeong and Jojo. They had an attraction, they really wanted to try, it was beautiful. It was much less so between Sun Oh and Yuk Jo. It felt like the toxic mirror to Hye Yeong and Jojo. Jojo really just wanted to try dating, she’d taken time to heal, but Sun Oh seemed to be using Yuk Jo as a shield because he wasn’t willing to let go of Jojo (though at the end it seemed like he was actually going to try)

Speaking of, what in the Romeo and Juliet is wrong with this kid. They were 16! They didn’t date that long! And yes, first love is so intense, there’s nothing in the world like it, but come on! It’s been years! Stop being a stalker and try! Just try!

Why’d we introduce a best friend for Jojo and barely use her? And the cute guy in the leather jacket? There felt like there were a million dangling plot lines just hanging there throughout the show. I don’t know if it’s because they planned for more episodes originally, they’re setting up for a third season, or because the webtoon isn’t finished but it was frustrating!

Overall it wasn’t as good as the first season, and there wasn’t enough time to make it feel finished, but I still really liked it. I, personally, am happy with the choices the characters made and am hopeful for another season that’s more about Guk Do and the app.

Shouji Mezo X Reader Remember part 47

“I’m like this class’ cheerleader. You break them down, I set them up, they pass yet another exam!” She sang.

“Is there someone you’re particularly fond of?” Aizawa asked. He had Shouji in mind, but figured he would tip toe.

“Want me to paint your nails and play truth or dare next?” She teased him. “Yes, I do have someone I’m fond of.”

“Are they the reason for your good mood?” He asked her.

He was worried she was using them as a mask.

“It’s honestly everything staying the same. I was hurt that my parents didn’t come for me at the hospital, but I’m glad that my life isn’t going to go through another change.” Y/n explained.

Aizawa sighed. He was also a failure to her too, though she now lacked the grudge, he still felt awful he couldn’t protect his students or the girl he used excessive force on. It all worked out in the end, but how long till that luck runs out? And what about Y/n? Has she been emotionally stunted? Will this experience at U.A ruin her future as a productive adult? Her parents are to blame too, it’s not all of UA’s shortcomings that amounted to a mentally scared teenager.

“To think this was your equivalent to prison.” He breathed. “Your school grades are good, so I can only trust that you’re telling the truth.”

“Oh Aizawa, if you make a cage comfortable enough, the bird will work to stay inside it.”

Something was up, and she was warning him.

Back at the dorms, Kirishima was sitting on the couch waiting for an ad to end so he could watch the actual video he wanted. Y/n walked into the common area after her talk with Aizawa. She heard the ad for the firework show and found herself behind the redhead.

“I don’t think I’m supposed to let you look at my phone,” Kirishima said.

“You can’t be a goody-two-shoes all the time. Sometimes being manly is about breaking the rules. Where was the location for that?” She asked him.

“A park in the next town over...I don’t think Aizawa would let you go if its at night time.” Kirishima said.

“Oh, a girl can dream!” She sighed dramatically.

“You really like fireworks?” He asked her.

“It’s a family tradition that we get together and see them. I can say this year it’s not happening.” She then remembered the last time she spoke with her dad he promised her, and then took it right back.

“Maybe we can get some little ones and do them off the roof,” Kirishima suggested.

“Oh, chivalrous red riot! Grand idea, a splendid idea. Perhaps after you guys ace your license exams.”

Tokoyami overheard the conversation and decided to use it to his advantage for his friend. He went to the gym to find Shouji working out. One thing Shouji opened up about to him and not Y/n was that he felt he wasn’t doing enough for Y/n. She knew his dreams, and his strengths for those dreams, she was always complimenting him and just being the girlfriend experience he never had which was better than he imagined. He didn’t know her dreams, and neither did she. But he had to make up for something, something special. Yeah he kissed her and showed his face, it was a big gesture, but he felt he didn’t amount the proper affections. He sure as hell wasn’t going to buy her anything, her room was the opposite of his.

“She really likes fireworks,” Tokoyami told him. “Kirishima and she are planning to get some small ones to celebrate after the license exams.”

“Why were they talking about fireworks?” Shouji asked.

“There was an ad.”

So the two of them both had plans. Shouji wanted to plan something before the exams and Y/n had a plan for after the exams. Two surprises because they just wanted to show each other how much they matter in their lives.

The day of the exam grew closer and closer. Shouji slept in Y/n’s room more and more. She would try to be the big spoon, but ultimately, Shouji just wanted to wrap her up in a spider bear hug. She could call him a talented hugger and shower him with more praise. She would play with his hair and whisper him stories as his exhausted eyes would close for slumber. Since Y/n wasn’t an actual student of UA or had to take attendance, Shouji would wake up before her. Her sleeping form always delighted him, that someone resembling an angel really wanted him. His reality was a dream, though he didn’t dream of love before this. He would leave her form, but always tuck the blanket around her to ensure she wouldn’t miss his heat too much.

Tonight was the night that Shouji was going to dazzle his love. He bought little sparklers and bottle rockets for them to light. Not only that but also some (favorite snack) because he may not know Y/n’s dreams, but knew what she liked to eat at least. However, it was still noon and they were still in class. Y/n cleaned the board as Present Mic talked. It all changed when the phone rang.

“Seems like you have a phone call, Y/n” Present Mic said. “I trust you won’t run off, not because you’re on crutches,” he told her.

And like that Y/n left and didn’t return to class. Present Mic wasn’t worried because her tracker showed she just went to the dorms. After class, Shouji found Y/n in her room with all the lights off. She laid in her bed, facing the wall. Tissues littered the floor.

“Hey…” Shouji started as he opened the door.

Y/n looked over. Her eyes were puffy from crying. Her cheeks were stained with tears. She quickly rubbed them trying a last-ditch effort to hide the evidence.

“Whats up…” Her voice shook as she tried to sound normal.

“Class let out, just thought I would stop by….” He tried to sound casual.

“Its been that long...huh…” Oh yeah, she didn’t have a phone to check the time.

“Who called?”

She sucked in some air and broke again. Shouji rushed to her bedside, took out some tissues to bring to her face, and placed his hand on her back. To think tonight was going to be a happy night.

“The police station…” she sobbed.

Was she leaving? Did something happen to her case? Was she going to jail? Was there more on that flame guy? Did her old group snitch on her and now she is convicted of more cases which would lead to a harsher punishment? Was she leaving???

“Y/n…”

“My brother he’s…”

Jojo (last name) the youngest son of the (last name) family, and third child. He was the only sibling not present when Y/n went to the hospital. The last time Y/n saw him was after he had a fight with their parents and he pushed Y/n down some stairs. That had been a long time ago already. Turns out Y/n’s other two siblings thought it would be best to find him to reconnect the siblings because now more than ever, they released how disconnected they were and a majority did not want that to happen? So they tried finding their brother and hopefully to give Y/n a complete sibling reunion. Their quest went to the police after phone calls, PI’s emails, there was no way of reaching him. So they contacted the police to discover Jojo is missing and hasn’t been seen in a year. Normally it is hard to tell if an adult is missing or packed up their life to start a new one. Jojo did have a motive to leave his life, but it seemed there were no leads on the man. They called Y/n asking if she knew anything, where was the last she saw him and told her she and her parents could be the last known people to have seen him. Sure there was other who saw him, but his known connections don’t know where he is.

After hearing what happened, Shouji was a little lost. There were no cuddles, or kisses, or hugs that would bring him back. He knew Y/n probably had complicated feelings towards her brother, her last memory he treated her badly, but she didn’t think that would be her last one. All he could do was clean up her face and listen to her sobs. She didn’t leave her room for the rest of the night. Shouji did give her the snacks he got her but kept the fireworks in his empty closet. Tonight was not the night for that.

Y/n fell into a depression pit but would try to hide it. She would cheer for everyone, but didn’t have the same energy. She couldn’t keep up with it. Aizawa knew she was struggling, so in secret, he took her to the pet store to cuddle some cats. A kind gesture, but not one to ease the pain. Y/n was still on crutches, but it seemed that her body wasn’t healing itself. If it was a tough day, she may have only lasted in class for an hour and a half at most. Even Bakugo didn’t try fighting her. He was too focused on the exam.

Favorite OC you've created and why?

OH MAN. THIS WAS HARD. I’ve created a lot of different OCs for various shows and I do enjoy each one of them! But out of all the OCs I’ve created, there is one OC who captured my heart and never let go. You guys don’t know him, I never showed him off until now, but I think it’s time you finally meet him.

Everyone, I’d like to introduce you guys to my favorite OC, ‘DABDAB’. Also known by his real name, ‘Rocky Takahashi’.

Rocky is a bnha OC I created back in 2017! When I first created this character, I knew I wanted him to be a meme and I’m sure you can tell by his name. Honestly, there are so many reasons why he’s my favorite! I’ll first go into his character design and inspiration, his quirk, background, and bullet other reasons why I love his character!

Let’s start on his character design. I always loved the intimidating delinquent design that is prevalent within anime. So many characters with this delinquent design almost always have a heart of gold and lovable personality. Because of this apparent trend, I wanted to base my character, Rocky, on it! Characters that I’ve enjoyed and got inspiration from are Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho), Franky (One Piece), Aoi (Beelzebub), and Josuke (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4). I’m very satisfied with his design based on these characters! Franky’s pre-timeskip hair was an inspiration to Rocky’s hair, Aoi and Kuwabara’s white coat was adopted into Rocky’s fashion including the white headband, and I made some aspects of Josuke’s vibe and demeanor into Rocky!

When I made Rocky’s design, I not only wanted him to look like a delinquent but a dork as well. Nothing says ‘dorky’ than wearing golden chains with a bright ass red tie. He doesn’t look intimidating at all and his grinning face isn’t helping him either. He looks like a harmless delinquent wannabe, which is what he mostly is.

Next, I’ll talk about his quirk. I made sure his dabbing pose is prominent in his quirk use. At first, I wanted his dab to paralyze people around him because of how ‘shook’ they were to witness it. But after thinking about it for a while, I wanted to seriously create a quirk that incorporates the dab in a way that matches his personality. And so instead of paralyzing others, his quirk heals those around them. I drew out how his quirk works, but to summarize, he must use a meditating (relaxing) pose to release his healing energy in order to heal those around him. Rocky is not a violent person and his quirk reflects that. I’m honestly very satisfied with how I created his quirk! Probably my most favorite power I ever created for an OC!

Let’s now talk about Rocky’s background and why I love it! Rocky’s family is well known for being a notorious gang within Japan. His father, who is the head of the gang, wanted Rocky to take his place and lead the gang, but was greatly disappointed when Rocky inherited his mother’s healing quirk. Growing up with expectations of being a “tough and manly man”, Rocky tried his best to meet everyone’s expectations and gain his father’s respect. But ever since he inherited his mother’s healing quirk, he was ridiculed for having a “passive and wimpy” quirk. His family emphasizes a lot on (toxic) masculinity and enforced gender roles, which is why they reacted poorly to Rocky’s “poor excuse of a man’s quirk”. As a result, Rocky was seen as the black sheep of the family and was brushed away by everyone as a “failure of a man”. His father ended up putting more attention to his other siblings who inherited his quirk and personality.

Not wanting to be ignored any longer, he kept on training himself to be strong enough that his father would finally notice and praise him. He spent many years getting into trouble and fighting other gang members to show off his "manly side" to his family gang. This continues until he realized that nothing he could do would ever get him to be accepted by his father. Rocky then decided to leave his family and create his own gang. With many members that he recruited due to his selfless acts towards them, Rocky's gang slowly rose to the top as the most strongest rookie gang. The gang is now known as the "DABDAB Gang", the name “DABDAB” referencing his new name and quirk pose. It was through this success that he wanted to beat his old man to show his progress and how he can be strong in his own way.

Rocky’s background is my favorite because of how it touches upon gender expectations and overcoming these issues. Rocky does this by rejecting this toxic mentality and doing his own thing despite what other people say. He realized that he doesn’t need to get approval from his father because his old man is a big asshole. Why get approval from people like him when he could surround himself with people who actually care for him? Meaning his DABDAB Gang! It’s not a complex character background, but it’s a feel good one for me!

There are also other reasons why he’s my favorite and why I like his character, which I’ll put into bullets!

He is actually a villain OC, surprise! I enjoy characters that subverts expectations and Rocky is no exception!! He was supposed to be a part of this villain organization that me and my friend @ser-buni created for our bnha villain OCs!

He grew up with toxic masculinity within his family, but luckily it didn’t soil his character.

Rocky still has flaws from his upbringing though. Due to many attempts to meet everyone’s expectations, Rocky’s self esteem fluctuates a lot. He gets depressed pretty easily, which would make his gang extremely angry towards the person who made their bro sad.

Rocky also has a very soft and fragile heart. He’s very trusting and naive as a result. When his self esteem is at his lowest, it’s easy to sway him into anything. His personality kind of contrasts with his ‘(attempted) intimidating gang leader’ image, but his gang think it’s really endearing so it’s okay.

He uses the dab pose because that’s his favorite dance move. In this pose, he is the most relaxed which is why he uses it for his quirk. It’s a ridiculous pose that gives him a slight advantage because of how his enemies would underestimate him and label him as a joke.

Rocky’s favorite hobby is dancing!

He saw a video of people dabbing and was inspired by it.

He naturally has black hair but dyed it blonde to make himself look cool! You can still see his dark roots though!

He generally beats up anybody who bullies others. He refuses to let anybody be kicked down by others who think they are superior.

He is also bisexual~! Woohoo!!

These are the reasons why DABDAB is my favorite OC! He’s just so lovable to me!!
